SPEAKER_01I'm the Pima Greeky. And I'm Angie Kay. Yeah, that's right. I kind of just got that. I'm this one guy I hooked up with a few times. Yeah, he's Greek and he teaches dance classes, and he told me that he uh was seeing someone. Um but it was oh, it was a lie. But it was a lie because he didn't want to he didn't want to go on a date with me.
SPEAKER_00Was he uncircumcised and have that uh feta feta cheese dick? No, he was circumcised. Oh, good. I'm kind of like, and I posted about this, but I'm kind of like on a feta cheese um what is it when you go to rehab and then you um are relapse. Not relapse, nope. Rehabilitation.
SPEAKER_01Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope and you found enlightenment through feta cheese.
SPEAKER_00You think I have to like go to my oh I'm detoxing from feta. I'm currently detoxing from feta, and I've been like kind of sweating, like missing it.
SPEAKER_01Um I think I must be detoxing from feta too, then, because I've been really sweating a lot.
SPEAKER_00It's so true. Um, okay, so we have three segments, whatever. We don't I don't think we need to introduce that every time.
SPEAKER_01Okay, great.
SPEAKER_00All right, so we're just gonna go into you thing.
SPEAKER_01Um what are you even thinking about? Yeah, Donald just went on a trip to Greece.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I did, honey. I went for work, and I've always wanted to say stuff like this where it's like, I can't exactly say why. But I went on a trip for work. Um, I think you know, if you're a Bravo fan, you could probably put the pieces together. But anywho, I went on a trip for work. You will see this content in about one year's time.
SPEAKER_01For real.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. For real. Yeah, but honey, I got that TikTok together.
SPEAKER_01So you had to just do like things that weren't specifically trending right now. Correct. Which is something that the drag ray social media team doesn't understand. Yeah, yeah. Or maybe they do now, but I feel like it was specifically our friend Plasma season when they were recording trends that as they were happening, right? But then it came out a year later, and I was like, okay. And then they made our friend lip sync to a TikTok song that was going viral while she was on TV. So she didn't even know, she didn't even hear that song yet because she was on TV or she was like filming.
SPEAKER_00I think our our team is like a lot better about that. We know like when things are gonna be coming out, yeah. That when we can do things that are timely, when we can't. So, anyways, I went to Greece for work. First of all, incredible. I have not traveled in Europe in a long time. Maybe since I was 18 years of age. Whoa. Maybe since I was 19 years of age, because all my trips recently have been gay this, gay that, Peatown, Power Island, family, boring! Just kidding, I love family. Um every moment I time with you is the best moment, but um any and every moment I do wordle is the best moment. But anyway, but so I'm always like going on these same trips, and so to go to Europe, I was like, wait a second, this is really chic. Yeah, this is really fun.
SPEAKER_01So you completely ignored your 30th birthday. That's not Europe.
SPEAKER_00Mexico is not Europe.
SPEAKER_01Troubled. Is it not abroad? Is Mexico not abroad? You said Europe? Yeah. Oh, okay. I wasn't listening. Yeah. I wasn't listening.
SPEAKER_00I've been in Mexico actually a bunch of times. I went to Mexico City, I went to Mexico. Brother's wedding. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So I've done that a couple times. You haven't you haven't gone across a pond, as they say. Right. And the pond's an ocean. Ocean America.
SPEAKER_00I did go to um, I did go to Israel when I was 19. Okay, I'm literally it's giving it Sheeran. Oh, we'll get into that. Oh, we're gonna get into that. We're gonna get into that. Um, but for the first time in my life, in my adult life, I flew business class.
SPEAKER_01Wow, yeah. Tell us all about it.
SPEAKER_00If you're listening to this pod.
SPEAKER_01What were the three most incredible things about business class?
SPEAKER_00Okay, well, let me just say, I never experienced it before, so I didn't know like what was gonna happen to me. So, first they had like lounge access before. So, like if you have a business class ticket, they're like, oh, we have like a business class lounge. I was like, fabulous.
SPEAKER_01What do you mean? What do you what does that mean?
SPEAKER_00It was like a really nice lounge.
SPEAKER_01My kind of like like Chase Sapphire Lounge.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But like But it's for business classes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so it's like but you have one of those things. I have an Amex that like gives me access to lounges, but this was like another where was it? It was in the airport.
SPEAKER_01Um like close enough to the gate. Close to the gate. But then did they have people that said like okay, you're boarding soon, or no, you had to listen to that. Okay.
SPEAKER_00But ours was the business class lounge, but there was also like a first class lounge. Whoa! Yeah, so they were like I didn't even know about all this stuff. It it's like a hidden underground system within airports that's like, my god. Yeah. So we go, I go to this lounge, and my flight's at like 9:30 p.m. So I was kind of I had like a whole day. Yeah. I was like, I need to get tired for this flight. So like I went to the gym in the morning.
SPEAKER_01You like I sometimes I'm really scared of your younger self, yeah, and the idea of ever meeting him. Right. But then there are times like this where your younger self is present. Um here, and you're like, I need to be tired, and I can imagine exactly what you're doing and how you're like going, and I just imagine you running around, running around, yeah causing chaos. Yeah. Um, so keep going.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, exactly. I was like, I need to tire this diva out. Yeah. So I leave my apartment at like 7 a.m. with all of my luggage, and then I go to Equinox, okay? I'm carrying my luggage there. I was like, is there anywhere I could possibly store this? And they say no. And I was like, incredible. So I bring it down to the locker room. It just fit in there. In the locker room. In the locker.
SPEAKER_01Okay, nice.
SPEAKER_00Then I do my workout. Then I go to the office, and I do a full day of work at the office. Everyone's like, Why are you here? Don't you have a flight today? I was like, it's in the evening. So that's so awesome that you went. It's so awesome that I went. I'm a really awesome guy, hard worker. Then I was like, okay, I'm gonna call a car to JFK. It was like, oh, it's gonna be two hours. I said, Mama, no, I will not sit in an Uber for two hours. So even if work was paying for it, I said, No, that's not my journey. No, I mean it's a good one. I'm gonna take a train. So I took a train one hour, but I had luggage, I was like, do do do do, but I felt like so with the people, you know, because I was like, I know I'm gonna be business class, but I'm gonna take the train. Some swipe.
SPEAKER_01That's why it's like in New York City, man, the train is the quickest thing. That's why Cynthia Nixon's always on that train. And also, do you know what else? My nephew's obsessed with trains, and so he really would appreciate hearing this.
SPEAKER_00Did you hear momdani's like investing in more public bathrooms? Yay!
SPEAKER_01Yeah, worry about, worry about I I think that's amazing. I think that's amazing. On the record, I think that's amazing, and I'm really excited. Oh, a Jewish guy doesn't like mom donny. Figures. And a Jewish guy wants Israel over here. Figures. Um, no, love that guy. I would. Um, honestly, I kind of vote for him, is what you're saying. Well, I did. Yeah, you did. Yeah. Um I always forget to vote. Yeah. And I mean twice because oh, sorry. I'm kidding. I vote and I civil rights. Yeah. Um, I say twice because there was the primary and then there was like the election. There was the ranked choice, honey, the ranked choice. Uh, but I forgot what I was talking about, so you can just keep I'm gonna go back to the case.
SPEAKER_00Public bathrooms and how you don't believe in them.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you don't believe in just like access. You know how there is some public bathrooms in the subway? I mean, those aren't like really like you're not gonna use them. Yeah. And then I mean, I guess like at the park, some like sometimes you gotta use them. But you're never you're never like joyful about the expression. I think these are supposed to be nicer and cleaner. Totally. Yeah, but someone's gonna have to really clean them up a lot. Yeah. I think it's amazing that they exist. I just don't know if I'm rushing to it unless there have been a few times where yeah, I pooped my pants in public.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was gonna say, as someone, as the two of us on this couch, only one of us has shat himself in public. All right, first of all, you did one time. When? When you were running. I didn't shit my pants though. I pulled them down and I shot on the ground.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I've only shat my pants. Okay, well so if anyone I've also pulled my pants down and shot on the ground. Yeah. Should I should I tell the story of when I um I would love that? Yeah, okay, so I'm actually gonna be in Central Park later tonight to see a Taylor Mack show at the Delacour Theater, which I'm really excited about. And so a different time I was at Central Park, my it was like a winter wonderland experience my friend took me to. And I just was diagnosed with having uh an inability to swallow. Right. Okay, and this is a real thing. And yeah, um, the guy who looks his hair looks sexy, pulled back's boyfriend or husband had an article about it uh because he has the same condition, and I didn't get any articles yet. What the hell, dude? But what I'll say is that like some people, like normal people when they're when they swallowed.
SPEAKER_00I just want to say the this this is. No, I just want to say the the audience is waiting, like make a swallow joke, make a swallow joke. We're not gonna we're not disgusting.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, why what first of all? My disability is not funny to you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and my culture is your costume, yeah. So don't even think about it. So don't even think about it.
SPEAKER_01We're not gonna make disgusting, filthy jokes on this podcast. And I also prefer it on my face. So no normal people when they swallow, it like their their throat kind of does the motion of the ocean. Swallow food and water, their throat does the motion of the ocean and the the through food swallows down. But mine sometimes will paralyze um because of this condition. It's eoid and eosinophilic esophagitis. And my cousin has it too, but we're not related. Stepcousin. Um, so it's kind of fun and chic. And anyway, so I like got a new medication for it, and they're like, please stay away from fried food. Go to this event, this Winter Wonderland event. And I also, because of you, was doing dry January at the time. And you you got a free something. You could either get a free alcohol or a free thing, and it was they had chicken fingers, uh famously fried. And I said, you know what? It I'm Jewish, it's free. I gotta do it. I can't say no. I can't say no. So I ate those, I ate those chicky thingies, and then we're kind of ice skating around, and my stomach's like my friend leaves goodbye, and I my stomach kind of whatever, and I have I feel like I'm like, if I just fart, I think I'm gonna feel so much better. So I kind of forced the fart out.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01It was it wasn't just a fart, it wasn't quite a poop, but it was somewhere in between. It wasn't quite a shart, but it was like get in there, you know? Right. So I'm in the middle of Central Park and I'm walking home because there's no easy way to get home. And so I'm kind of moving with the clickiness. Oh no, oh no, oh no, and then I get to Madison Avenue, and there are Naria restaurants in sight. So I'm thinking, if I can just get to a restaurant, I can still not toilet and take a shit and I'll be fine.
SPEAKER_00Right.
SPEAKER_01And suddenly I'm like, oh no, oh no, because I'm like, I'm gonna get selected, like I'm gonna have to get all the way to third before I find a restaurant, and I don't even think I can make it to third. Right. And then it's like I could get a taxi, but I don't think I can make it in taxi. Right. So what I did was I saw a construction site and I went to take a little shit there, and I pulled my pants down, and um then this man kind of walked by, and so I pulled my pants back up. And so now I'm and like there definitely is, I think I did I charted at some point experience. And then I make it to a different construction site, and the the lava did come down. Boy, did it, and the whole time I was like, ugh, these poor men, yeah, because men working here, oh men working, only men allowed in construction sites.
SPEAKER_00Um, not even changed that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and he's working on it. Uh and yeah, I shot all over that place, and then I had to pull my pants back up and wearing brand new jeans, mind you. And I thought, no underwear, do I get no, I was wearing underwear too. Um, I was like, do I get a taxi now? Right. But then I thought, well, now I'm gonna I'm gonna have to like sit in my shit. Yeah, I was like, maybe I can go on the side, but I I just waddled home. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And this all started because you ate some free food, which really brings me back to your flight. Yeah, yeah. I would say just my whole trip, what what I experienced was like, I can also not say no to anything free. Yeah, I was eating up and drinking up everything free, and that's why I look the way I do today. No, but um stunning. Stunning, stunning. But so I was in the lounge before, and I was like eating my face up. And they also like instead of just I've gone to lounges where um you go up and order a drink, but here they just had a million bottles of alcohol just out and you could serve yourself bottle service, but yeah, but you just serve yourself. That's so interesting. So they had a million bottles of wine, hell yeah. Hard liquor.
SPEAKER_01You can drink well, I'm I'm posing this as a question that I already know the answer to, but you can drink on a flight. Like you can drink before a flight and feel fine in the air. Yeah, for sure. I oh prefer it. I can't do that. Oh, I love it. Oh, I love it. But I also can't do that on a boat, right? I'm not great with travel.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and drinking on a boat. I love it. I think it's so fun. So I was like eating, drinking. I took a shower there, and just because I saw that, but I was confused.
SPEAKER_01Well, they and these nice lounges, they have showers, and so and Mum Donnie's bringing those to New York City public transit. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um, but they had showers like need to use it. I was actually really sweaty from like running on the subway and everything. So I took a nice shower before my flight. I had a glass of wine, I had another glass of wine, but then I like really ate a lot, and then I got on the flight, and they were like, so I walk on the flight, and I see like these giant pods, and I was like, Love is blind. No, I was like, is this like am I about to be one of these pod people? And I walk over and I'm like, oh my god, this is my seat. I almost shed a tear. I can't believe I'm in one of these pods.
SPEAKER_01I only know about the pods from crazy rich Asians, right? And so you were kind of in that movie. Wow.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I was crazy rich Jewish guy. So I get in there after we've already said other things. So I get in the pod, and you can like change the seat to be fully lie down. And I was flying to London and then to Greece. You had a layover? Yeah, a layover. Did you have to have a layover? Yes. Okay, because sometimes they don't fly direct. Right, right. I was like in a really random area of Greece, but anyhoosers. So I was like, this I like what? And then they come over with a menu and they're like, hi, here's the menu for the flight. Like, please choose whatever you'd like. And they have like gourmet food and cocktails. Do you that's crazy? And do you have to pay for those ones? No. It's all included. And you can get as much as you want. So you're basically saving money by paying for a pot. And I was like, oh, I'm about to get lit. I ordered a cocktail, it was called a gin fizz. Oh, it was fabulous. And then I was like, you know what? I'm gonna switch to vodka sodas. Yeah. I'm pounding my drinks, and I was like, I'm so full. Like, I don't think I can have this dinner. But so then I was like, I spoke to the lady, I was like, I need to let you know, like, this is my first time experiencing this. So I she loved that. Yeah, she was like, she's like, okay, okay. And I was like, I don't want to miss anything. So I am too full for dinner right now. But will you wake me up for breakfast? Because they had a really good breakfast menu. And she was like, totally, totally. Um, so she wakes up and you're like, Whoa, yeah, yeah, yeah. What the fuck? How dare you? I was so sleep. Yeah, I was like, what the fuck? No, I was ready for it. I was like, thank you, thank you, thank you. So I I'm drinking my drinks, and then it's like midnight, and I'm like, I'm ready for a rest. I lay my seat all the way back, and I'm like, I can't believe this is real. I take a nap. I'm sleeping, I'm sleeping. Then the woman wakes me up a couple hours later. I said, sweetheart, would you like your breath, Chris? I said, sure. There's like a tray on my stomach. I'm fully laying down. She brings me my breakfast, and I'm just eating this beautiful egg and cheese on brioche. On brioche. Wow. Um, she brings me coffee. I was like, thank you so much. I had the best time. I honestly was like, this is the most comfortable, amazing time of my life. I watch Mortal Kombat. Yeah, my bro. What there's like a remake of that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's what I watched. It already came out. I don't, I don't know. Yeah, there's like a new one. I was a big Mortal Kombat diva. Oh, it was so when I say that, my brother was, and I just was too.
SPEAKER_00It was so fun, so fun. Um, and then um, yeah, anyway, so that was just like my travel to Greece. Then I'm in Greece.
SPEAKER_01Wait, before you say that, I want to say I had a similar wake-up experience this week that was just as delightful. Tell me. I was I was sleeping in my bed. I had snoozed a bunch at this point. My phone's hard to ring. It's on do not disturb, so explain that. Guess who's calling me? My best friend on WhatsApp. And he's FaceTiming my ass. And so I picked up, and it was just the best ever. And I feel like I took for granted in college waking up next to you every day because you were always so fucking annoying. Right. Trying to find like the right version. Right. How do you say it? How do you say that? Uh, because Donald wakes up just happy for the day and like completely wide awake, and I wake up like, how did this happen again? I was I was enjoying sleeping. How did this happen again? And I feel like since I brought coffee into my life, mornings have gotten a lot better. Oh. But I we had a rule where he wasn't allowed to talk to me until 15 minutes after I got out of bed. Right. That's we made this rule 15 minutes after I woke up. And one time I opened my eyes to turn over and like continue sleeping. I did not register, I woke up, and he just was like, okay, yay! Like he would like set an alarm. And so it was 15 minutes after I got out of bed. Yeah. But I don't know, I really loved waking up to FaceTime review. It really just was a delight. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, yeah, I was I was just so grateful to be there and was like, holy F, I can't believe my job has brought me to this place. Um, and I was in this place called Corfu Greece, which I had never heard of.
SPEAKER_01Had you heard of Corfu Greece? I have, but I don't think, like in my mind, I have, but just because you've been talking about it for so long that I don't know if I had heard about it before or if it just seems like that this has happened for our whole lives.
SPEAKER_00Right. I was talking to my brother who sent me a whole list of food wrecks from there because he had been there. And I was like, I'm so in love with this place. It's like such a hidden gem. I don't know how people haven't been talking about it. He was like, Well, it's not like a hidden gem to Europeans, like they all know about it and they go there. And I was like, um, but yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'm also gonna take a pause again. So earlier, when you're talking about the flight and like enjoying all the food and both saying fabulous and eating to eat everything, I was like, You are your parents' child. Yeah, yeah. Like both of them at the same time. And just now with the nanny nanny boo-boo, I'm like, you are Johnny's brother.
SPEAKER_00Yes, I am. Yeah, I am. And I was talking about him, but I am. And I kind of like took on the spirit of him on this trip because we were on a work trip and there was like five of us, and then like an agency of five other people. Anyways, they were all like, everyone was kind of dancing around, like, where do we eat? Like, what do we do? Blah, blah, blah. And I was like, my brother sent me a list of 36 different places. Wow. We can choose from this list. And then we get to the table, and I'm like, okay, everyone, shout out the appetizers that you would like, and I will just write them down on a notes app and I'll order blah blah blah. And so I was like really organizing the girls. Yeah. Which is funny because like all these people have been on multiple international trips together, but I was kind of like the newbie on the trip. Like, I had never but you're taking control. That's why I fucking am addicted to you. I'm addicted to me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Clip it. Um, I just you I was talking to my mom about this the other day. How you're just like the inspirer of fun, and you're yes and diva. Down. And you're just like always happy to because Donald and Peter are coming to visit my family in like two weeks, and we're talking about like what to do. And my mom kept coming up with ideas that Donald might not like totally be like, yes, let's do this. But we're like, but you know what? Even if he doesn't participate, he will have the best time. I'll make a TikTok. Yeah. I can, yeah, yeah, but like you'll just be happy, like drinking wine in the corner and like gabbin. I love wine. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I love wine, which is so great also about being in Europe, because like they're all about drinking wine. And I was like, I'm at home. Yeah. I'm at home. The wine was like cheaper than water. I'm at home. Um yeah, so on the trip, I definitely was like the personality higher, I would say. Even though I was also like the hard worker, like did some like the most. But I'm also the person. Usually personality. All of the yeah. Yeah. But um, I was like, felt like I was really bringing the vibes on the trip, like really bonding the girls together, and um had a really incredible, incredible time. And then I stayed a couple days in Corfu Greece, honey. And I really explored. I think I'm in like my explorer era. Yeah, I'm like Christopher Columbus Down.
SPEAKER_01Like oh my god, and it's almost his day. Yes, I'm like every way. Yeah, every way. That's my role model.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Just kidding. He's problematic. Um, but I'm like really my explorer era. Like, I can't wait to explore more of the world, like Turkey, even though they are what? Cracking down on gay is down. Yeah. I'm scared. Should I be scared? Um, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so for those who are Well, I I don't think they're gonna like go after an American who's there for a hair transfer. I that's what I thought about when I was at the really bad look for world piece.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I think that's that would they would not do. Like they're kind of cracking down on like LGBTQ plus like organizations and also like anyone who protests in support of it, which is like already horrible that they're cracking down on that. But I think if they like targeted an American visiting as a tourist, it would cause like global relations issues.
SPEAKER_01It would. And also I think it's really um awesome that you're continuing to support their economy in this kind of turbulent time.
SPEAKER_00Well, I'm not really supporting it that much, not paying that much, right?
SPEAKER_01Uh or like anybody but I feel the same way waking up in this in this town called America.
SPEAKER_00Right, in the USA, yeah. Smelly. America, more like Americans. Yeah, I'm American even with you. Hosh. Yeah. Um, yeah, but I'm still definitely going, I think. Uh, but I did talk to Peter. I'm like, okay, we're not bringing our wedding rings. We're not bringing your wedding rings. We are. You're not even looking at him. Not even looking at him. We're going as friends. Yes. He's my business associate. The business of love. No. Nope. Oh, because you you work for a dating app company.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You're a startup. Straight dating app. Yeah, a straight dating app. Called uh Turkish only. Turkish delight. That would be a yummy. Oh my god, I ate sick. Wait, either before you got leave or after you come back, we need to go to that Turkish restaurant we went to with my mom. That was so delightful. Don't know the name, but I think we could walk to it.
SPEAKER_00It's called, I think it was called Turkish restaurant, not even joking.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Which is why you know it's good. Yeah. Because they did they weren't they were only focusing on the food. They were not focused. I mean, they had some like bizarre decor, and uh, and their outside area was really cute, but it was covered in fake uh plants.
SPEAKER_00I have a controversial opinion on this podcast. Say it. And this is where I get cancelina. Okay.
SPEAKER_01So this is I'm by the way, yeah, I might get cancelled during groupthink. Oh, okay. Because I'm bringing some drama up in the drag community that I'm like, I don't think I should talk publicly about this, but I'm gonna. Well, we're behind a paywall. Okay, good. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So you guys just don't know about it, but you can charge monthly or hourly. Yeah. Um secondly. So this is my first time traveling in like a a while internationally. The last time I did it when I was like 18. I mean, I've I've traveled since, but like Is Mexico not international? It is sorry, in that is international.
SPEAKER_01See, I was right.
SPEAKER_00You did say international. No, no, no, I didn't before. We can rewind the taste. I said to Europe. I have not traveled in Europe in a long time. Okay. So I haven't like really traveled to Europe and such since I was like 1819. And when I did that, I didn't even have an iPhone at the time. I didn't have internet. Um I know what you're gonna say. Yeah, yeah. So like it was I I traveled in a very different way, and this was my first time traveling since the advent of AI. And unfortunately, and I mean unfortunately, yeah, it was extremely helpful to me.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Listen, I don't think that you should use AI for everything. Um but I was like But having said that and using it for everything, yeah. So for my two-day uh tour alone, I was like, I really want to go on this boat tour. I want to experience a part of Corfu that um I was like, I want to go on like a three to four hour boat tour, see some caves, you know, do some of those things. I don't know like how to get there because I was like an hour away. Um, I didn't know what tour to so I tried just googling it, googling it, googling it. I was going on all these websites and I was just so confused. And then I was like, okay, I did my best. Let me just cross-check this AI. And unfortunately, AI really ate down and gave me like, like, oh, you want to do this? And like your goal is like to You want to see gorgeous water? Well, whoop, we're gonna be using that gorgeous water to help power this question you're asking.
SPEAKER_01So you better see it now before it's gone forever.
SPEAKER_00It was literally like, okay, based on your goals, which I was like, I don't want like a I don't want uh a tour guide explaining like the history of a place, I don't want that. I want gorgeous views, I want someone to take a gorgeous picture. And I didn't explain, like I had a whole TikTok planned as well, but I left that out. Yeah. Um, and I want like a couple hours doing water-based activities, water sports, if you will. Um, and then I was like, and how do I get there from my Airbnb to there? And they were like, here's the tour that you want to do. Here's three other options, here's a local cab company, um, and here's a message that you're gonna have to WhatsApp them. Here's what to WhatsApp them. And it was like, hi, I'm traveling from here to here. I need to get there by 11 o'clock. Can you pick me up at 9 30? And I was like, Whoa. And then I did that. I booked a cab for the next day, I booked the tour, and it was the most amazing experience. So unfortunately, AI kind of eats down for travel.
SPEAKER_01Um, yeah, I think that it can get tricky because it it I heard about this after the fact, so it's chill, but it made me nervous that I'm I'm like, did you look up the cab company to make sure they were legit? Or did you just book?
SPEAKER_00Of course. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I mean, I'm not one to like talk because of one time, but like, but then that's why I'm so nervous.
SPEAKER_00No, before I booked anything that they suggested, you looked into it and made sure it was like correct. I like clicked around their websites to like make sure that it was real. Yeah. Um, and I was like, oh, this looks actually like exactly what I'm looking for. Yeah. Um, thank you. You know, because other ones that I were looking at, but like not exactly what I wanted.
SPEAKER_01I do think that it's it's a tricky thing, right? Uh, I do think that stuff like that, uh AI can be a great search engine because I do have it with like Google. Yeah. I have Google Gemini. Yeah. And it's just all already on the search engine. Yeah. And it can be a really good search engine search engine that will kind of distill a lot of things. Of course, you have to like cross-check because it everything it says might not be true. Of course. Um, and sometimes it loves to make things up, which is so slay. Yeah. Uh, but yeah, I think there are aspects of it that are really helpful. And I was relating to you on the phone, and I'm gonna relate to you on this podcast saying I in the earlier days of my drag journey, I was very much about like I want to shop local when I'm looking for stupid little props or whatever, like all drag things, and often I do when it comes to like the garment district in New York City. And there's a lot of stuff at our fingertips that we can just get when it comes to like makeup and blah blah blah. But there are certain things that I have gone everywhere in this town in New York City. You'd think they would have everything, right? I've gone up, down, left, right, to, from, under, over. I have not found what I wanted. And then I'm like, let me just check Amazon. The exact thing that I want is right there.
SPEAKER_00Right. So like I don't like it's so hard. Yeah, it's so hard. Like, I don't like to use it for anything creative or that could replace anything creative, but for logistics, or another example that was extremely helpful was I was staying in an Airbnb and they had a remote for the air conditioning that I could not figure out. First of all, it wasn't in English, it was like Greek. Yeah. Um, and but also I was like, I don't understand how to use this. So, and I was sweating my ass off in the Airbnb. And then, so first I look at the Airbnb, see if she has any um any information about how to use this thing. And then I messaged the lady, but it's like, oh, it's gonna be two hours for her to respond, and I'm boiling, boiling, and then I was like, okay, so I took a picture of it and I put it into AI. I said, How do I make it cooler in this room? And it recognized the remote and it told me exactly what to do for this random Greek remote, and then I was cooler. So I'm like, unfortunately, like things like that, I find it to be really useful, but I'm so aware and like I'm a really good person.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, totally.
SPEAKER_00And if you're listening to this and you're judging me, get the fuck out of it.
SPEAKER_01Well, everyone's doing it, whether they say they're not, right, or they are. I think there's there are levels that um it's it's shitty because we didn't create this thing that's now available to us, yeah, and it was not like the idea of AI by itself, there are some parts of it that are horrible, and I think taking like just taking information from the internet and like distilling it down to like this is how you use a remote, yeah, is I don't think morally bankrupt, but it is morally bankrupt when you like take people's art and stuff and then like make it into a new picture. I think that it is morally bankrupt, but it's also morally bankrupt how they create it and maintain it, and that's not our fucking fault, right?
SPEAKER_00Like on my flight back, I watched a movie with my favorite MAGA, Chris Pratt. Um and it was it was awful about AI. Um interesting. It was I've no idea what it's called, but it seems like it just came out and it was um interesting.
SPEAKER_01It was basically like if is it the one with Andrew Garfield in it about ChatGBT? That hasn't come out yet.
SPEAKER_00No, but it's about like AI and pretty much it's like a little futuristic, but basically it's like he comes up. Oh, it's called Mercy. And he um is like a cop and he helps develop this AI system called Mercy, where it's like they have cameras everywhere now and your phones recording everything. So it's like if someone um could uh commits a murder, then immediately they're brought to the city.
SPEAKER_01This isn't even something that's like that's not that far in the future. No, no, this is happening now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But but wait, there's like a little twist.
SPEAKER_00Okay, but um, it's like immediately like once they're caught for the murder, because you inevitably are, or it's like you're you're thought to have uh committed a murder, you're brought in front of Mercy, which is like just an AI person, and they're like, hello, like you're on this um trial for murder, you have 90 minutes to um to prove that you are not the murderer. You have every AI a tool at your disposal, so you can say, like, bring up this camera from this place, show like bring up my phone records to show where I am. Um, and if you don't complete that in 90 minutes, then you're executed.
SPEAKER_01So that's the entire movie.
SPEAKER_00So it's like him and being accused of murdering his wife, and he has 90 minutes to prove it. And it's like so he's like talking to the AI. He's like, Okay, bring up the camera from um my place of work, and they're like, You're not there. He's like, Oh shit, because he like got blackout drunk and forgot where he was. Oh, it's like all of that. He's like, Okay, um, my neighbor must have some sort of camera outside their window. I know he watches birds sometimes. It's like, oh, bring up my wife's um call records. And it's like, it was so interesting. And I'm like, I could see this fully being a thing where it's like just an AI job.
SPEAKER_01Well, that is and yeah, it's like when it comes to stuff like that, robots should not replace robots can be used as like source to find evidence and whatever, but nothing. But also, like the moral there's also morality about that of like being under surveillance for yeah oh we watched a doc didn't we watch a documentary where someone was caught because or no, someone wasn't caught because they they had been like murdering people, or they they turn up someone, they kidnapped a woman, yeah, and then drove her, and they're like nowadays with the surveillance with like on um street cameras, cell phone towers also and cell phone towers, we'd be able to find this person with a quickness, yeah. But like back then you couldn't.
SPEAKER_00I mean, they didn't even have like DNA in the past, like that's a whole other thing, right? Anyways, it was an interesting thought about it was kind of like Black Mirror-esque. Yes, very smiley the Sarah, who was on an episode of Black Mirror, yeah. She just came out with a new album.

She's known for being an insult comic. Uh so she's going to be like incredible on that show. Wow. And she's in she is so fucking quick and hilarious and very combative. So I think she's gonna be perfect. Okay, I can see her and Giselle goes. I don't think that she'll be a traitor because I feel like it would be like too obvious, but who knows? You know, okay. Did she win drag race? She won her season of drag race.
SPEAKER_00Nah. I think it was like season six or something. Yeah, it's okay. Yeah, I hope we finally have a drag race contestant go far in the game. I know. Do you think she'll go far based on the game? I think if you're gonna be a good thing.

And if she's a traitor, I think she is going to slowly strategically take all the LGBTs out from as a traitor because they're not gonna suspect her if she does that because she's such an ally. Oh, that'll be fun for her to be with like, but I feel like there are there's only one housewife this season, or two? No, there's a couple. There's there's one from Atlanta and one from Potomac as well. So there's three. There's three housewives. Usually there's more than that. There's three housewives. Um, there's someone from Next Gen and there's someone from Southern Charms. So there's five Bravo people. But usually there's more housewives than an additional Bravo people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so that's interesting. Yeah. I always like I know I don't really watch Bravo shows, but I always like the housewives on this because they have no idea why they're there. Yeah, it's incredible. And they they play it serious, yeah. Like every like, and the gamers play it serious, but they're like, I'm seriously wanting to win, but I actually like when I go to bed tonight, I know like no one meant any harm. Like it's a game, like no worries. Uh, but the housewives like we'll never get over it.

Uh I think it's like semi-risky as a celebrity to go on that show. Yeah. Because you you don't have right to edit, and you're just yourself. Like and if something goes wrong, however you behave is how you behave. Right. And she already behaved a certain way and it got her kind of canceled. Right. Um, so but I boy, do I love that woman. She is a Broadway icon, and I'm really excited to see her. I mean, if I was like someone like Johnny Sibylly who's on it, who's like Oh my god, and and Kristen Chennaw, I'd be like, Diva.

SPEAKER_01Yeah. So there is a drag queen in the city named Lady Doll Hairs. Never heard that. Totally. Um, she definitely was like more of like an up-and-coming queen who really talented performer. Yeah. I think I had were I've I like was acquaintances with her, and she's always really lovely to me. A video came out of a gay guy that said, like, hi, I caught this person on my ring camera on my in my apartment. They stole money from me and drugged me. And can anyone find out who this is? Yeah. What the hell? And I never saw that video, so I can't speak to it. Yeah. But the internet was like, that's Lady Doll hairs. What? So Lady Doll hairs disappears from social media completely. And so everyone's like, That definitely like implies that she 100% did that, yeah. Which was steal. I heard she sold $500 and Roofied the Man. Did she know this person? Uh no.
SPEAKER_00Like, how did she get into someone's home to read?
SPEAKER_01So I'll explain as we go. Uh, and so, and I had heard that it was like caught on camera at a bar that of her like drugging a drink, like so many rumors. The rumor is the nastiness. So this week she came out with a video on Instagram. We had not heard from her. She came out with a video. It's her in full dragoons, yeah. To the theme of the climb by Miley Cyrus, an a piano acoustic like rendition of the song. Well, she's hard to have. She says, nine months. That's how long I've been gone. She says, like, I was using at the time whenever that happened, and I'm in a I took the time to like get well, uh, I'm clean now, and I found myself again, and I'm ready. And she's like, and now I'm ready to come back to the drag community. It unfortunately for her feels very disingenuous, the video. And it was a strong and wrong way to come back to the world of the internet. So then everyone starts, you know, she becomes like a punching bag for the internet, and everyone starts making fun of her because that was a crazy video. And then this is not on my corner in the internet, I know that's why I had to. So then she comes out uh again on stories on on Instagram stories with her like like with text description of like this is what happened. Like, she's like, Okay, I realized that that video was wild, and like all I want to say is I love Miley Tyrus as a climb, so fuck you. Oh my god. Um, that's a bop song. So that's why I chose that. Um And she's like, I understand that was a very bold way to come back and tone deaf. I'm giving her like a little bit benefit because I'm now dragging her on a podcast. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But uh is this your controversial take? It doesn't sound that controversial.
SPEAKER_01I'm just sharing what happened. Yeah. Which I But you said it was gonna be like it's like almost cancelable. I don't think someone should like I think it's shocking to have someone like share what happened on like a podcast. Got it. Um because it's like a real human being that I've like had gigs with. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And who I have not heard like I don't know her that well. Yeah. Um, and once that happened, I was like, oh well, bye. But I immediately would just like no 100% no. But I never like reached out to her to like, but I I I mean, I personally was not close enough to her to do that. Yeah. If like a good friend of mine had been accused of stuff like this, I would, but hopefully that will never happen to me in my lifetime. She says, she's like, first of all, I want to take accountability that I did steal the money. Oh. And I but she's like, I did steal the money, but I gave it back to him immediately. Like once the video came out, I like Venmo'd it to him. And but once the video came out, yeah. And then she was like, and that man is very untrustworthy and showboaty, and like just trying to get clout from this moment. Um, and so you shouldn't like it. She was like, It really hurt me that people believe this man over me. But she had never shared her story, she just disappeared, right? So she never said, like, this is what happened, you guys. Yeah. I don't think she was in a place to do that. Yeah, I think she was using and she needed to whatever. What about drugging? Did she say anything about that? Oh, she said I did not drug the man. Uh-huh. And she was like, and he refused a toxicology report. Oh. And so that she was like, so that shows that he's lying about that. Get to the fucking point. Some man refusing a toxicology report does not prove that you're innocent. Right. It also doesn't prove that it happened. Right. It's which is why the case was dropped because that now there's no proof.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So, but it it doesn't prove her innocence, unfortunately. Yeah. Um, and then on top of that, like stealing money.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01As drag queens, we are sharing tips with everyone. Right. So it's gonna be really hard for me personally, and I think a lot of people to trust having her backstage. Yeah, of course. Because she's confirmed as someone who stole money. Right. I understand that she said she was using at the time and she says that now she's gotten better. Yeah. But she's gonna really have to earn back the trust of the New York City drag community as a whole or individuals that she does shows with. Of course. Before we can like welcome her back into the space. And the way her video was was like, I'm coming back and I'm ready to share my joy. Yeah. But we're not really ready to receive it yet because we haven't gone on the same journey you went on. Right. We're gonna need to now go on that journey with you.

SPEAKER_00I no, I care. I just said too much. You wait way too much. But you have any thoughts about all of that? Um, I agree. Definitely don't steal. Yeah. Stealing is really bad. Yeah. And understand why you wouldn't want to work with someone who steals. Yeah. Who has stolen, can be? Yeah, who has stolen, yeah. And said I did steal. Totally. That makes a lot of sense. Yeah. Um, another very controversial topic this week that you can get canceled for. Yeah. Is Ed Sheeran, Macklemore, but something that reminds me of. Billy Eilish. Billy Eilish's brother. Oh my god. Yeah. Um, but so this was all about Israel-Palestine, such a fun topic. Um, but basically, Macklemore went on stage. Uh, he's opening for Ed Sheeran. He did like a big speech about Palestine and Free Palestine, um, and then opened for Ed Sheeran. And then a lot of people in the audience, specifically a lot of Jewish people, were uncomfortable because like how many people? Yeah, I don't know. I think it's like people at home mostly felt uncomfortable because it's like, what?
SPEAKER_01This is um like why are it's probably people at home that had no intention of seeing Ed Sheeran had no intention of listening to one of his songs and saying, I feel uncomfortable if I paid money for the show. Why? It's like you didn't. You didn't pay money for the show.
SPEAKER_00And then Pink posted about it.
SPEAKER_01That is where I got really devastated.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and she was like, I agree, basically, and was like sharing memes, like like these people should get their money back because they were like subjected to this. Now, um, and then there's so much to it. Um, and then he was McElmour was dropped from the tour uh because other folks, other promoters were like, we don't want him there. It's very interesting. It's really messy and really controversial. Stupid. Now, here's what I will say that's controversial. Okay, yeah. I understand just only from a vibe perspective. Not even even if I completely agree with what Macklemore said, which I do agree with Free Palestine. I think from a vibe perspective, I'd be like, wait, are we aren't we about to party? Like, why are we talking about politics in general? Um, but also Ed Sharon, like, is Ed Sharon even a party? I don't even know.
SPEAKER_01Don't think he's a party. Also, I do think Macklemore is uh kind of like in his music is very much a political activist and has been. Yeah, so if you're gonna have him on stage, he's gonna do something politically active. But even if you're thinking like I do think entertainer, I was actually thinking about this today with about like comedians having to apologize for jokes. Yeah. And I was thinking about because I was watching a clip where I was like, this I hate this comedian's like point of view. Yeah, but actually a comedian is or a musician is really just sharing their point of view with the world and entertaining through that and commenting on society through it. Sometimes sometimes music is just fun and games, yeah, but sometimes they're actually commenting on society, yeah. And so if you so I kind of think their politics are a hundred percent part of their entire thing, totally.
SPEAKER_00I think Ed Sharon should have known that basically. I think Ed Sharon is completely apolitical, and like if you go to one of his concerts, you're not expecting that. There's like all these kids there too. So it's like huge.
SPEAKER_01I'm also just like, at this point, if you don't understand what Netanyahu is doing and how that's wrong, you need to wake up. Yeah, obviously. Obviously, but it's not, but like how is this still happening in such a public way? It's so stupid. What Mac Lamore said was so uncontroversial. Very uncontroversial. And it was pretty like, like, actually, maybe he could have actually said something of substance, and I think he just kind of reiterated. And it's so sad that even just doing that was too much.
SPEAKER_00Right. I felt like what he said was almost watered down. Yeah, it was kind of like when uh Melissa from who was on in Scream, she just said free Palestine. She got fired from Scream, which was like years ago, which now like obviously did not age well. Like a lot of people share that sentiment. Um so yeah, to be clear, like I agree with what Macklemore said, and that's ridiculous. I'm trying to see it from every side. Um, but something You're trying to play devil's advocate, but I don't even know if you're being like able to. No, because I think it's I think he should be able to share that. But I could the part that I understand is if if Ed Sharon was like, hey, I actually don't want to like have anything political in in my um in my tour.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna like I'm asking you to open. Yeah. I feel like with Mac Lamore, he probably should have known that, but also who knows if he even hired that man. Right. Well, that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00Like, if I went to, let's say, um, like a Kylie Minogue show and like, oh, I'm gonna dance.
SPEAKER_01I would be surprised to hear her say something because that's out of character for her. Correct. There are certain people it's out of character for. Totally. MacLeamore has been doing in his character, yeah.
SPEAKER_00But I'm saying it's an Ed Sheeran concert. So people are there for Ed Sheeran. It's like, oh yeah, McLaur is also opening. So I could see if someone's like, oh, I wasn't expecting all that at this concert. Um, like, even if I was at um a Kylie Minot concert and the opener did a whole like anti-Donald Trump thing, I'd be like, completely agree, but like I'm kind of here to dance.
SPEAKER_01I guess some like an artist like McLaMore would be like, unfortunately, we can't turn a blind eye. Yeah, and I agree with that.
SPEAKER_00But something that's interesting about like jumping on the bandwagon there is so um, so Chelsea Handler, um I saw this yesterday when I was on a flight, but this one comedian spoke up and she was like, I was an opener for Chelsea Handler, and I'm finally speaking up about this, but she removed me as an opener, like once I spoke to her about Palestine, and she took away all of my gigs and all of my money. And then Chelsea Handler started sharing on her stories, and she was like, Hey, that's actually not what happened. Um, you pulled out of the dates. Here's the emails about it, and I even reimbursed your travel for those dates. So it's like I kind of feel like some people are trying to get attention out of totally. Totally interesting.
SPEAKER_01It's this, like, that's why when not to fucking bring this back up, but when I bring up like the Lady Doll hair story, it's all this like internet allegation stuff. Yeah. And it's really tricky when it's just a bunch of people's words and like slandering someone for something that might not even be fucking true. It's so easy to do right now. We're very much in the like red scare again.

Like, people are like, Why did this woman win? Like, everyone she was against was so much better, and it kind of seemed like they just didn't like the other people she competed against. So in the Survivor world, she's kind of known as like one of the least deserving winners, but then she came back and was like, actually, like I'm a force to be reckoned with, and now people see her game differently. And she is one of the new people on the traders. Oh wow. Yeah, yeah. So she's one of the recently announced people on the traders. I think she's gonna be really good, actually. She's a lot to prove. She's like a lot of people don't think I deserve to win my survivor season. So now I'm gonna prove it to the world like how tough and amazing and intense I am. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, can you tell me who what do you even think about Dunkin' Sheik?
SPEAKER_00Dunkin' Sheik, honey. Sheik? Mm-hmm. Say Livy. Dunkin' Sheik is obviously who Dunkin' Donuts was named after. Right. Yes, when Dunkin' Donuts was first invented, they said, what are we gonna name it after? And it people always think it's about the act of dunking, the act of dunking a donut in coffee. No, it's after Dunkin' Sheik. Now Duncan Sheik created it um because she or he. Or they or they no, Duncan's a he, obviously. Um, he kept.
SPEAKER_01I have no idea who um so I bring this man up. He uh he wrote like a really famous song in the 90s that we've all heard.
SPEAKER_00I get knocked down.
SPEAKER_01He wrote Barely Breathing. Barely Breathing. You know that song? He wrote that. Uh and he also wrote my favorite musical Spring Awakening. Uh the but he unfortunately at a very young age passed away today.
SPEAKER_00Oh, wait, yeah, who is that? I saw that in your story.
SPEAKER_01He's a like he's a composer. I wasn't listening to what he said. Yeah, he's he wrote the song Barely Breathing.
SPEAKER_00Oh. And he let's keep breathing and breathing and breathing and breathing.
SPEAKER_01And he wrote, he was a composer for like music and film and TV and shit. Music for a composer for music, because that that actually is exactly what the definition would be. Uh, but he wrote Spring Awakening, which is one of my which is probably my favorite musicale.
SPEAKER_00Oh, he wrote Spring Awakening. That's why you were like, Oh, I'm so sad. Yeah. Um, and he was only 56. You know what he passed? I think he passed with heart failure. Oh, yeah. Um, okay, well, I'm sorry to hear another legend. We've lost. Yeah. It just keeps happening. It's insane. It's really funny. We've also lost the amount of time we have for today's podcast. Yes.
