Through the Novena to St. Josemaria, we hope to be reminded of the meaning and importance that God’s will for us is that we be saints. And, we turn to the intercession of St. Josemaria to help us renew and strengthen our personal goal of holiness.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true. And try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Saint Josemaria writes in Christ is passing by. Conversion is the task of a moment. Sanctification is the work of a lifetime. The divine seed of charity, which God has sown in our souls, wants to grow, to express itself in action, to yield results which continually coincide with what God wants. Therefore, we must be ready to begin again, to find again in new situations the light and the stimulus of our first conversion. And that is why we must prepare with a deep examination of conscience, asking our Lord for his help, so that we will know him and ourselves better. If we want to be converted again, there is no other way. Take a few moments now to quietly reflect on this message. Grant that I too may learn to turn all the circumstances and events of my life into occasions of loving you and serving the Church, the Pope, and all souls with joy and simplicity, lighting up the pathways of this earth with faith and love. Then to grant me through the intercession of Saint Josemaria the favor of take a moment to share your intention with our Lord. Amen. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end, amen. Saint Jose Maria, pray for us.
