Welcome back to the Limitless Life podcast, or welcome if you're new here. I'm your host, Brenda Johnston, and yes, I'm officially back with a solo episode. I freaking loved doing the Legacy Series um guest episodes, which ran all through December. I loved those conversations. I love having elevated conversations. I want to have more of those conversations. I'm gonna probably be sprinkling legacy episodes in through the entire year. But also, it does feel good to be back here with you just kinda talking through things again. Oh, and hey! Happy 2026! We made it! Although, let's be honest, energetically speaking, January 1st is kind of a lie. I don't know who decided that everything magically resets because the calendar flips. Well, I mean, I do, but that would be that'd be a whole other podcast. Either way, my nervous system has never once been like, oh yes, fresh start. I'm ready, let's go. It's funny, or maybe not funny, I don't know. For me, things don't actually shift energetically until February when the lunar new year rolls around. January is more like this energetic loading screen. It's like you're back at work, you've made decisions, but your system's still kind of catching up, you're in that weird in-between space. And you know, that actually makes a lot of sense when you look at the bigger energetic picture. 2025 from a lunar perspective was, as most of you probably are aware, the year of the snake. And honestly, that tracks so much. Snake years are all about shedding skin, endings, truths coming to the surface, whether you asked for them or not, whether you like them or not. And there's this this, well, usually, there's this like it almost feels like this relentless pressure to just start to let go of all of these identities and relationships and ways of working and ways of being that just aren't working anymore. And the other thing I can add to that is it is very rarely a graceful transition. It's more like, okay, listen, we're done pretending now, let's frickin' go. So now, as we move into the lunary new year soon, we are shifting into the year of the horse, and not just any horse, but a fire horse. And that, my friends, is a very different energy. Fire horse energy is very forward-moving, it's very bold and decisive and fast. It is about momentum and actions and like not overthinking things, and that energy does not love hesitation and it definitely will not wait around while you second guess yourself. Which sounds really exciting. You're like, yeah, the year of the horse, I'm gonna move forward. Yep, it is really exciting unless your system is still in the middle of shedding last year's skin. And so that, my friends, is where a lot of you, I feel like, are finding yourselves right now. You are caught between the release that happened during the snake year and this frickin' acceleration that the fire horse is asking for. Like I said, it's the in-between feeling, and that is exactly what we're gonna be talking about today. No, this is not an episode about astrology, but it did tie in perfectly to get this episode started. Today, we're diving into something that almost nobody prepares you for, and it is a tie-in to the quantum leap series. It's about why, when you're in the middle of a quantum leap or you're doing you're like experiencing quantum leap, why most quantum leaps don't actually fall apart at the beginning, they fall apart later, like after the decisions have already been made. So if you're listening to this and any of this is landed in your body anywhere, just stay with me because this episode is going to be fire. So let's get into this. Because here's what usually happens, and I want you to hear this without judging yourself, okay? Because I know, I know what you do. You start judging. I should do this, I should do that, I should be this, I should be that. Just no, no judging. Here's what happens you reach this moment of clarity, and no, it's not this moment of clarity where you're like, oh my god, I need to fix everything, I need to do things differently. Nope, it's not that kind. It's a very settled clarity where something just lands inside of you, and you're like, oh, it's like suddenly you know who you're becoming, you know how you want to work, you know the level you are not willing to tolerate in your business, your income, or your life. Honestly, I swear I just went through this probably in the last month. Also, I have to just make a little side note here. If you hear a weird squeaking sound or chewing noises, that is my dog Sky in the background chewing on her little toy. So back to this clarity about who you are, who you're becoming. It's very exciting. I'm I'm not gonna lie, it's very exciting, and you're gonna go through it multiple times in your life. But when you are working towards a quantum leap, for some reason, this this level of clarity just feels way different. It's powerful, it feels good, it's fucking energizing. And so you finally have this kind of like I don't want to call it an aha moment. You have this sense of like, oh, okay, this makes sense. I understand what's happening, and like all the voices in your head quiet down for a minute, and then not immediately, but soon enough, things start to feel off. You're more tired than you expected to be, and not like exhausted, tired, but just like you have this weird, kind of heavy feeling, and your confidence doesn't disappear, but it does get shaky in these really kind of weird, subtle ways, and then all of a sudden you start noticing yourself kind of mentally checking what other people are doing, even though a week ago you were perfectly clear and you didn't need you didn't have the urge to do that, and you start wondering oh, well, maybe I'm not as clear as I thought I was. Maybe I should actually slow down, maybe I should rethink some things. Oh, maybe I I just need to gather a little bit more information before I fully commit to this new energy and this new way of being. And that is the moment where most people assume they've done something wrong. And I want to be very clear here. You haven't done anything wrong. There's no mistake here. This is not a sign that you jump too fast or the universe is testing you. What's happening is that your subconscious and your energetic systems are trying to catch up to this new identity. And on top of that, your physical body is trying to catch up to the energetic stuff that's going on. A quantum leap is not just a mindset shift, okay? It is a full recalibration across your body, your subconscious, your energy, all the things. And your subconscious has been running on a certain set of rules about what is safe and what's familiar and what level of responsibility or visibility you can hold without risk. We've talked about this before. Your energetic signature has been expressing at a certain frequency for a very long time. Even though over the years you've been making moves and doing things, you've had pretty much the same frequency for a long time. So when you make a decision to move beyond that frequency, to raise that frequency, everything underneath the surface has to reorganize. And so your subconscious doesn't speak in words, it literally speaks in pictures. But the the route that I'm going right now is it speaks in patterns. So your energy and your subconscious are not going to have logical arguments with you, they're going to respond to what feels safe. So if you have patterns that keep you safe, they're going to try to grab onto those patterns again. And listen, when I use the word coherence, because everybody and their frigging grandmother is using that word now, and I think it's a chat GTP thing, I don't mean think better thoughts. I mean your decisions, your actions, and your internal state are finally telling the same story. So instead of consciously thinking, oh, I'm afraid of this next level, what shows up is fatigue and hesitation and distraction and that urge to look outside of yourself again for reassurance and validation. And there's this like subtle pullback towards what feels good because you know it and you're comfortable with it, and what doesn't even fit anymore or doesn't feel good, but you're like, nope, this is comfortable. I'm gonna keep this. And if your subconscious and energetic systems don't recognize this new level as stable and sustainable, they will default to the familiar ground. And it's not to sabotage you, it's to protect you. And that's the key distinction here. This is not self-sabotage, even though that's what we label it because that's what we understand. It's literally self-protection that's running on outdated information. This is the part that nobody fully prepares you for because it's not the pretty part, nobody wants to talk about this. The space between the decision you've made and the embodiment of actually becoming this person. So the moment where the leap has already happened energetically, but your system has not fully normalized it yet. And this is exactly the space, the place, the time where most quantum leap either stabilize or they start to unravel. And here's where this gets especially important for all of you listening to this podcast. Because if you are here, if you were in my world, chances are you're very capable, you're very self-aware, you're not new to personal growth or business strategy, and you're used to figuring things out, usually on your own. I can do it, I can do it on my own. So when something feels unstable after you have a breakthrough, your instinct isn't to panic, it's to problem solve. And you start looking for what needs to be adjusted. Oh, I'm I need more clarity. Oh, nope, maybe I need a better plan. Oh, I need to make one more refinement, and that's gonna make everything fall back into place again. But what's usually happening in this moment actually has nothing to do with strategy. What's happening is that underneath all of that thinking is your subconscious is checking in with one very simple question. It's asking, huh, is this level going to require more from me than I can actually sustain long term? And that question isn't asked in words, it is asked through sensation, through hesitation, through energy pulling back and contracting. And until that question is answered at a very felt level, meaning until you feel it in your body, not logically, not intellectually, your system will slow things down. And it might not be in an obvious way, it's not gonna be dramatic usually, but it is gonna slow you down just enough to start to create that doubt and that second guessing and that procrastination. It's why so many high capacity women unconsciously start to downshift after they expand. It's not because they don't want the next level, and no, it's not because they aren't ready for it, it's because nothing has helped their system normalize it yet, or they haven't done things to help integrate it so that their system does feel like it's normal and safe. Integration, key word there. And without having this normalized feeling, even the most aligned decisions you have can start to feel weird, and you can start to second guess them, and it's really annoying. This is actually where the legacy series that I just did fits into all of this. And I want to say something really important about the guest episodes that that you listened to. Hopefully, if you didn't go back and listen to them, they were never meant to motivate you or inspire you or convince you that anything is possible. That was not the point of those episodes. The point of those episodes was they were meant to show you what integration looks like. Different women on different paths with different expressions of leadership and success, but the same underlying pattern. None of them stayed in perpetual initiation mode. They built lives and businesses that could actually hold what they stepped into, and that's the part that most people skip over. And you're not skipping it intentionally, it's usually because nobody teaches this part, or they teach it in a super fluffy, non-tangible way, and you're sitting there thinking, what in the hell are they even talking about? Like, seriously. Stabilization isn't about slowing down. I want to be very clear about that. Because this is where a lot of women misunderstand what's happening, and then they end up fighting the very thing that could actually support them in their quantum leap and their expansion. Stabilization does not mean you are slowing down, pulling back, or shrinking your vision. It doesn't mean that you are losing momentum or suddenly that you are playing too safe. What it actually means is that your subconscious, your energy, and your body are learning how to live at this new level without relying on adrenaline or like the constant effort and output to keep things together. Stabilization is the process of teaching your system that this level is normal. I hate the word normal because what is normal? But it's literally just teaching your system that, like, this isn't something that you hit once and then you have to keep proving that you deserve it, even though that's what many of us have running through our heads. This is not a temporary high that you need to create every single day, it becomes your baseline. And this is really important because a lot of people start to confuse intensity with expansion. And they assume that if things don't feel charged or dramatic or exciting, then something must be off and they're not vibrating at a higher frequency. No, real growth does not stay loud forever, it settles and it integrates and it kind of becomes quieter and comfortable. Okay, I don't like the word comfortable in there, but you know where I'm trying to go with this. And that's actually how real expansion and real growth become sustainable. If your system doesn't have a way to integrate what you've stepped into, it will 100% try to recreate intensity so things feel familiar again. And that intensity doesn't always look like exciting things. Like I said, it'll show up as doubt, overthinking, the urge to push harder, and that's how we end up being burnt out. And that's why stabilization isn't passive, it's actually an active form of support. This is exactly why I create things like the monthly affirmation programs. I created the January affirmation episode that just came out last week, I think. And I want to be very clear about its purpose. That episode is not there to motivate you or hype you up or help you initiate another leap. It's there for the phase you're in after the decision has already been made. When your conscious mind is totally on board, but your subconscious and your system is still adjusting to things, those affirmations in that January program are designed to give your subconscious and your energetic systems consistent reinforcing signals that say, This level is safe, this level is sustainable, and this is who I am now. And that is a very different job than like a manifestation or mindset work thing, and it's why that episode matters right now. So, one of the reasons that most affirmations get such a bad reputation is because, to be honest, most of them are written in a way that immediately puts your subconscious on guard. They create conflicts, they're aspirational and future-based or very exaggerated, and your system responds very quickly by pushing back. And when that happens, people then assume that affirmations don't work. When really they were just asking their subconscious to agree to something that it didn't feel safe agreeing to yet. That's not how I create mine. My affirmations are written specifically to avoid subconscious conflicts. They're not asking your system to jump ahead of itself or pretend you're somewhere you're not or pretend you're someone you're not. They are designed to work with the way your subconscious actually processes language, identity, and safety. Like, I'm not just over here asking ChatGTP to make some shit for me. I'm actually trained and certified in how to do these things and how to work with your subconscious. What affirmations really are working with or what they work on is repetition, tone, and consistency. And so those are the inputs your subconscious responds to. When the language you are repeating or hearing on repeat reflects a decision that you've already made rather than a future that you're trying to force, your system doesn't need to argue with it. It literally just starts to recognize it. So instead of trying to convince your mind of something new, you're actually helping your body and your energy get familiar with an identity that you've already chosen. That is what creates stability. This is also why affirmations can be the most effective after a decision. Not before it, after it. Once the decision is made, then the role of the affirmation is actually to anchor the shift. So your system doesn't default back to what it knows just because it's comfortable and it takes less energy. Without that anchoring, what happens is even a deeply aligned decision can start to feel heavy over time. Because you don't have anything reinforcing it at the level your subconscious actually listens to and relates to. So I want you to use the January affirmations once a day, intentionally, rather than like just casually or in the background. I want you to, I mean, you can do that too, but at least listen to them intentionally once. They're short. They're under 15 minutes. Listen to them first thing in the morning before you consume anything else. That works very beautifully because you're setting the tone before your system starts reacting to all of those external things going on in your life. Um, transition moments, also a great time to listen to them. Like if you're walking or driving, um, right before stepping into work. Anything that requires leadership or visibility or decision making, great time to listen to those is before that. What matters here isn't how long you're listening or how many times you repeat them. What matters is consistency, and this is very important. If you notice resistance while listening to them, maybe there's like a bit of a tightening, or you have that like internal, yeah, but response that isn't a sign that anything's wrong. That's information for you. Because resistance usually shows up when you're stabilizing something new. So don't focus on it, don't overanalyze it. Just be like, oh, that's interesting. Like, just stay with it. Huh. That's interesting. Here's the takeaway I really want you to sit with, especially if you've been questioning yourself lately. Your quantum leap does not collapse because you weren't ready for it. It collapses when there's no support in place. It collapses when there's no support in place to help you stay at the level that you've chosen to step into. And I want to say something that might rub some of you the wrong way. But this comes up a lot in conversations I have with people. A lot of people tell me that they are looking for tools. They want something practical, something they can actually use to support themselves. And they ask if I can recommend any tools. The thing is, I create so many free resources, it is unbelievable. This podcast is a tool. The free daily energy management audio, four and a half minutes, it's a tool. The monthly affirmation programs, those are tools. I'm not over here creating basic surface level shit and calling it support. But the tools I create and put out there, they only work when they're used. And more importantly, they only work when they're used consistently during the moments are actually needed. Not just when things feel good or when you remember, or the complete opposite, not just when things feel crazy. Stabilization doesn't come from having access to support, it comes from engaging with support in real time when your system is adjusting and looking for things to help it feel familiar. So if things feel uncertain right now and you're questioning yourself more than usual, or you feel like you're somewhere between who you were and who you're becoming, congratulations, because that typically means you are in the stabilization phase. And that phase is not something to rush through or push past, it is something to support deliberately with tools that are designed for this exact moment and with the willingness to actually use them consistently. So here's what I want you to do next. And I'm gonna keep this very simple. Go listen to the January affirmations stabilizing your quantum leap. And use it daily for the next week or two. Use it daily for 21 days, is actually what I'd recommend. And you're not listening to it to create momentum or push yourself forward or to force things to happen, but to make the momentum that you've already created sustainable. My affirmation programs, by the way, get some of the highest downloads out of all my episodes, just so you know, because um they're really amazing. And yes, I'm tooting my own horn there. So go do that. And if as you are listening to this episode, you're realizing that what you actually need right now isn't just more motivation or content or information, but you actually feel like you need a deeper level of support, that's exactly what we look at on a free subconscious strategy call. That's where we're gonna look at what's happening underneath the surface, what your system is responding to, and what areas you need to shift some things in so that this level or whatever level you're moving into doesn't feel like something that you have to struggle to hold together. And I have limited spaces for those every month. Um the link will be in the show notes, or you can DM me on Instagram, whatever is easiest for you. I think you can also book one in the bio on my Instagram, whatever is easiest for you. And if you love this episode, I would love and appreciate if you would take a few seconds, a few minutes to go leave a five-star rating and review wherever you listen to this episode, because that is a great way to give back energetically, and it helps other people find this message as well. And everything starts to ripple outwards. So I hope that you enjoyed hanging out with me on another solo episode, and until next time, here's to creating your limitless life.
