Call Residue Podcast
Firefighter. Paramedic. 16 years in. In recovery. Husband. Dad. Just a guy with a mic and too many stories to keep to himself. Made for the fire and EMS world, but honestly, anyone's welcome. The job, the family, the hard stuff, the funny stuff, and everything nobody talks about, but everybody thinks about. Pull up a chair. Call Residue Podcast

From Stutter To Podcast
SPEAKER_00So, what does a guy do when he spends 15 years in speech therapy for a stutter that he still has issues with? Well, of course, he starts a podcast. My name's Jake Kelly, and this is Call Residue. I'm a father, a son, a husband, and a firefighter, a paramedic with 16 years in fire and EMS in various capacities. I have an undergrad in alcohol and drug psychology with about eight and a half years of sobriety myself. This podcast is for anyone in the first responder capacity, paid or volunteer struggling with sobriety, traumas of on the job, and life's hard lessons. I've been divorced, remarried, and have been in that dark place before. And trust me, you are not alone. The stories are true, the names and places have been changed. So grab your coffee and let's get to it. Thanks for tuning in.
