This week on the porch it's a Friday daylight womp — kids upstairs, moms outside, Munchies Marshmallow Pie in the bowl and porch tax cookies to match. We spend three attempts trying to have a PTA conversation, and land firmly on the conclusion that you cannot be a womp mom and PTA president at the same time. We don't make the rules.

Also: Hailey woke up at 2am convinced there was a tarantula-sized spider on her wall, spent 25 minutes trapped in her own bathroom, and it was almost certainly the 15mg edible she took before bed. We both do some stoner math about how many school moms are secretly womped. The hose game gets a full rule set. And somehow the black hole house, a 1985 sitcom, and a woman watching traffic from her window all become the same conversation.

We might be the outliers. We're fine with that.

Pull up a chair. 🌿

SPEAKER_02

Hi, I'm Haley. And I'm Amanda. And this is Moms on the Porch, the podcast from Moms Who Get It. Every week we're on the porch talking cannabis culture, mom life, adult friendship, and everything in between. No guilt, no gatekeeping, just good conversation and zero apologies.

SPEAKER_01

If you've ever stepped outside after bedtime and finally exhaled, this one's freedom. Enjoy your drugs, ladies. So getting my cups that you sent me the yesterday Wednesday.

SPEAKER_02

I was I don't remember what it was. Dying. What was it?

SPEAKER_01

Why do white people have to make their weeds so strong? I was what are you running away from? I'm not an astronaut over here. I can't drive my car anymore because it turned into a spaceship. Anybody want to talk to God? Because he's right next to me. I was dying. Dying.

SPEAKER_02

It is a really good video.

SPEAKER_01

It's such a good video.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, yeah, man. Gummies are strong. Right? Yeah. I wonder what his. Did anybody I wonder in the comments if anybody asked what was his milligrams on that one? I yeah. Now that we're all together. Yes. We could womp earlier and then re-up and even enjoy the re-up. We may even hide for time for a second re-up. Three times. Three times a job or a triple up. Before I have to go back to my house and cook and clean. Why? What are you cooking for? Tomorrow. Tomorrow? People coming over tomorrow. After the recital. You are supposed to? I'm supposed to. We have 500 games tomorrow. Literally. Actually, three, but five hundred. It's a lot of games. Especially for you know having to sit there and be at book club. I might need a lot of wink for that. We're gonna go start our first swamp since we're gonna be a little bit more. We've never had a daylight on a Friday. Except for the first time we recorded the only daylight we've ever had. Yeah. We've smoked like we've just never recorded. Right. That's what I mean. We are smoking tonight. Munchies everyone eats. That is right. Everyone does eat. It is marshmallow pie. Triple double A indoor smalls sativa. In our Mateo episode, we smoked a munchies too. American pie. Marshmallow is an Intica dominant hybrid strain created through a cross of the classic OG Kush. OG OG and a M. An unknown strain. This is a great sign.

SPEAKER_01

An unknown strain? No. A cross of the classic OG Kush X, an unknown strain. Although its second parent is unknown due to breeder secrecy.

SPEAKER_02

Buckle up, babes. Marshmallow is thought to be a descendant of the bubblegum family because of its sticky, sweet, sugary flavor. Alright. And mellow indica effects. Like its name suggests, marshmallow has a super sweet candy flavor scented by nutty honey and a touch of fruitiness. The aroma is just a sweet. It hits first in the forehead and behind the eyes.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I don't know what behind the eye.

SPEAKER_01

With an uplifted euphoria that leaves you happy but totally hazy and a little out of it. Let's go, baby. The kids are gonna be like, what the fuck is going on with you? As this high builds, oh boy, here goes the roller coaster. It'll spread throughout the rest of your body in warming waves. Oh my god. Can't wait to have a fucking thing. Leaving you with a tingly feeling from head to toe that numbs away any electronic pains. Let's go. This will lull you into a state of complete relaxation, which pulls you slowly. Wait, which pulls you down slowly into a hungry yet very sleepy state that almost always ends in a nice nap.

SPEAKER_02

Alright, let's go. Buckle up, babes. It's gonna be. Because of these effects and its moderate THC level.

SPEAKER_01

Marshmallow is perfect to treat insomnia, appetite loss, chronic pain, muscle spasms, and nausea.

unknown

Hmm.

SPEAKER_02

Alright. All right. Let me tell you what we made for a porch tax this evening. We've made my classic cookie base with marshmallows, a little chocolate chips because it felt like I needed it, and pie crust. So we have marshmallow pieces cookies to go with our munchies. I love that you thought of the pie crust. I would have just gone marshmallows. I didn't even think of pie crust. Ready? It's marshmallow pie. Hiam. I feel like you need to tell people you're Jewish. So they don't think you're being I mean, on my freaking jerk. On the merch, I said it was like Hanukkah. That's true. That's true. Nobody thought you were me. Smells like smells like college. You always say that. No, there's like a certain smell. Not everything smells. I want the traffic. I now that I can see the traffic, I would really love the traffic to come down the street. Almost. Almost had one. Scared me. No, sorry. Look at the black hole in the light. Is that not lit? No, it is. We should do this more often where it's like a daytime and the kids are here. The boys out there entertained and the kids are entertained. Right. We can be womp for much longer.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

It's only what seven o'clock? 7 30? Yeah, 7.49. We usually come out here around 9 9:30. We could be two hours more on a free womp. Time me up. I also think that would be nice because I like getting like that medium. Of course, not like a womp, like not like an aggressive big. Well, it could be. I know. What I'm saying is to have that like just under a really aggressive womp where I can still function. Yeah, but we don't usually get like that where we're still functioning. We don't. But maybe if we remind ourselves to pace ourselves. No. This episode should be called the something like the two-hour longer Friday Wamp. The black hole house looks so unassuming. And I'm telling you, bad things happen in that house. I think it makes it almost worse during daylight because in your brain you're like, what kind of bad things? Like you can see it happening. That house has bad energy. I'm starting to feel it. You? Oh, yeah, I feel it. Yeah. Now we got plane noise.

SPEAKER_03

We'd be responsible.

SPEAKER_01

No. I don't care what you're gonna say. Fucking no. No.

SPEAKER_02

Serious? I'm talking about three ups tonight, and you're being res Get the fuck out of here. The kids are happy and playing and wonderful. Yeah. And in a half hour we'll send them up with dessert to entertain them even more out there. I love it. And then we get to be couch locked. Yeah, it's nice. It's nice that it's finally nice out. I like when it's warm at night. Because at least you can like couch lock and not be. One of the things I texted you was about nonsense was um hose in the driveway, I think. I think we need to come up with some kind of game that involves us being able to sit in lawn chairs in the driveway and spray our children with hoses while we're stoned, because I think that would be really fucking funny. How do you feel about that?

SPEAKER_01

Am I okay saying that that is so white trash?

SPEAKER_02

I think so.

SPEAKER_01

I have just pictured us like fucking bikinis, right? With our legs open with like a pre-roll in our hand with a fucking other hand with the hose, the mics attached.

SPEAKER_00

Yay, kids. This is so fun, yay. I knew this would be fun. Come on, it's trash come in or something that sounds like fun.

SPEAKER_02

Don't you want to spray those little shades?

SPEAKER_01

I'm not saying it's not doesn't sound funny. I'm also not saying no. What trash to me if I had to put my finger on it? They might do it over there though. Which one? The one on the over there.

SPEAKER_02

Which one?

SPEAKER_01

Over there.

SPEAKER_02

There's fucking ten houses over there.

SPEAKER_01

The one over there that we talked about last time.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. Yeah. The one in in. What is happening? UPS is at my house? Yeah. It's traffic. Oh, finally.

SPEAKER_01

I had somebody to look at, but I was like not interested because I didn't have I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. That's we didn't even have a monkeys and playing.

SPEAKER_01

We didn't do much of it.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think it was even half. It was a small one. No, that was a big one. No, it wasn't. It was a small one. That wasn't a mini. But it's not a mini. Not a mini, but small. I'd like to see what joints you've been smoking that are bigger than that. Fucking the white dog walker. Yeah. That was a big why is a plane so loud? Right? I'd never hear a plane at night. There's always planes at night. I never hear them. Oh, we never talked about plane noise. Just saying. We talk about actually heard one though. I don't think we've heard one. We definitely heard a plane. Uh no way. Okay, now I'm gonna go look through all listen through all the footage.

SPEAKER_01

I hope there's like a prove to you. A parentheses where it says plane noise or plane goes by.

SPEAKER_02

Oh boy. Wow. I was not prepared for this. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. This is you know what it you know what? I don't like I do not enjoy this level of a womp. Why? In the daylight. Why? Oh you were freaking out on Sunday. Yes. That is Friday night. You're focused. Is it because the kids are down already? Maybe. Maybe uh maybe they're here. They're fine, they're occupied. I don't I don't enjoy this when it's light out. Oh, stop it. It's great. It's such a different view of the environment.

SPEAKER_01

The sun is going down across over your house. Beautiful.

SPEAKER_02

Everything is when the sun goes. It is very storybook right now. Yes. Everything's lush and green. The birds are chirping. It's a beautiful sunset. The kids are happy. Yeah, we haven't had a mom conversation in a while, have we? Oh, should we do pizza? Are we doing pizza? I'm did you say pizza day, pizza yay, or pta?

SPEAKER_01

Definitely not the first two. I don't even know what that was.

SPEAKER_02

P T A. Pizza P. Pizza Yay. It's all work. T A. Oh my god. I don't think I have eyeballs right now. It did say pitch the back. It does with the back of your eyeballs. The forehead.

SPEAKER_01

And the back of your eyeballs.

SPEAKER_02

I feel it in the back of my eyeball. My ears are very warm right now. No, that doesn't. It takes a while to get there. The body warmth. The body wave. This is this is supposed to be just the beginning. I'm just gonna confuse it with a hot blush since I started having hot blush. It's not, it's we're not there yet. Give it a little time and you'll get there. I'm I am overly warmed right now. This is not well that's what you told me about the insects that were fornicating.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

And there's like multiple instances of it twice in the case. I don't even know if that's like what you're talking about is even actually real.

SPEAKER_02

Yet you've seen it twice in a in a short morning. I'm pretty sure bugs have sex, Amanda. Nobody has ever seen bugs fornicate. Stop. Are you little bugs like what you were describing to me? Absolutely not. Have you ever seen a fly fornicate? I feel like that's like some Discovery Channel shit. Animal Planet. Fornicating? We never talked about the pizza days. The pizza days, the PTAs. There's children. Look at them. Look at them. They're hiding behind the bush. Uh-oh. We're being spied on. There you go, another planet, man. I know. See? We do not hear it. No, I'm gonna start calling it out every single time. No, good. Yeah, good. And then when it gets dark, you will not call it out at all. She's ready to fight me, guys. She's ready to fight me, and we're being spied on by five children. It's the lollipop guild over there. We are momming. Friday nights are for the girls. This is a great conversation today. Friday nights are for the moms.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_02

Don't you wish we had the play in the backyard? We do wish we had the game that involves a hose and spraying them away from us. Okay, go ahead. I've got it. I've got it, Amanda. I've got the game. They're going to be bringing some have an object inside of the house, and yet they still have to come this way. I don't I don't know, but I have an idea for the game. We're sitting in the chair. We have a hose, maybe two hoses, so we can each spray them. And they've got to maybe it's like I already have the flag. No, I already have the idea in my head. And they've got to keep running toward try to get to us, and we spray them, and every time we spray them, they have to stop. No. What do you got? They have to wear like circles around parts of their body that represent points. And if you spray them, if you reach them in that part, if you hit like in the circle, you get that manifold. How about each kid is a different point value? That could work. Then you're just like five, ten. They have to stay. They have to be boxed in. We'll just do it by their age. They have to be boxed in. They're age points. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They need to stay within the box. And if we hit e whoever we hit with the host, we get the fomana points. Yeah. And we'll do the numbers on them will be based on their age. So it's fair. Oh my god. Are we gonna talk about pizza y's?

SPEAKER_01

We're gonna do this a third time.

SPEAKER_02

We have tried three times to have this conversation. PTA. Ugh. I applaud, I guess, maybe the people that want to sign up to take that on. I guess don't know about wanting to ever remotely even close to being like, oh yeah, I'd love to do that. Oh no, I'm a venom mom for sure. Right. So like do we give them like do those people deserve a lot of credit because they want to, or are they just not smoking enough pot that they freaking don't need to do that? It's gotta be the pot. It's gotta be they're not getting high. Because could you fucking for a second? I'm gonna picture you as the PTA mom, the head of the PTA for a second.

SPEAKER_01

Why are we thinking on me that I would be the I don't know that you would exactly, but like imagine right now sitting here, we're getting bamboozled, and like you're also the PTA president.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think two things can exist at the same time. I don't think you can be womped and want to do that. I don't think that's for womping moms. You don't think so? No, because what would you rather be doing? Getting womped or dealing with PTA shit. Well, no, in my free time, which I have very little of. No, I'd rather be getting womped.

SPEAKER_01

Correct.

SPEAKER_02

I don't think it's for the womped and nope. You PTA mom and because it's like nope, it doesn't happen. I don't think you can be a woman mom and also PTA president at the same time. I don't think two things can exist in the same way. No, I think you could be a social THC drinker and be that though. I guess. But why would you even want to even if you're a social THC, you also get womped? I don't think so. Okay, maybe not everyone, but look at us. I'm starting to think we might be the exception to some rules floating around. We're the the variable, we're the we're the liar. Maybe I can't wait for field day. You know they have to wear their freaking shirts for field day, their their gray levels. Yes, sure. Which is ridiculous, man. I'm assuming we get to order them every new school year. I guess I've only ordered them once. That's not gonna fit her next year, maybe twice, but I don't remember how that went. Oh my god, it's just like everything is a thing, man. So last week we had the spring concert at 10 o'clock in the morning on a work day. The when I was growing up and I was their age, my elementary school would do things at seven o'clock. So yeah, it was not inconvenient, and like everybody, anybody could come. This 10 o'clock on a weekday, I mean, I can go and I do, but it just doesn't seem feasible for the working mother who's expected to go. No, the amount of time I have to put on my calendar right now, who's expected to go, yeah, right. But the father's not expected to go, it's the mother that's expected to go. If the father goes, it's a plus, then they're like overly excited. If it's just us, like, oh thanks, mom. If the father goes, yeah. So they've earned a medal, that's right. It's just very inconvenient to have that. And but all of their events are in convenient. I can get field day because it's for the kids, it's not for the adults. But the other stuff is even teacher conferences, how you have to go in. So next week they've this week was spring concert, next week is field day, which of course mommy has to go to. Yeah. And this spelling bee. That just got dropped on calendars. I yeah, and they gave me a list of like questi the words to study. My children do not know how to spell. I had no idea it was this bad. Oh boy. It was it was frustrating. The the random atrocity of a letter that they would stick in.

SPEAKER_01

It had no, that didn't sound like there's no why are you putting a T?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. That's clearly a T. But the fucking instead of a C, she would throw a T.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, this is frustrating me. Because where are you hearing that letter in the word that I'm saying?

SPEAKER_02

Were they just the teachers emailed us? We sent them a list of words because we're spelling bee. And the top three then compete in the whatever room against each other up the classes. Oh, serenity now. Do you have to go to the spelling bee or do you just have to be around? I don't think so because what I've been told is it's the same day as field day. That seems like a little much for one day.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, is that what they're doing in the morning? Do you think that that's their womp? You think that that's the version of a kid womp? What? To just like not do any work all day, but like be able to mess around for this. Like field day absolutely. And the smelling be is still like you're gonna be sitting and walk- you're not doing work. Absolutely. That's like a womp, a kid womp. Yeah, yeah. That is the greatest of all time. I think that's the name of this episode. The kid womp. It's funny. Oh. What are you doing tomorrow? We're having people over here. You're coming, remember? At night? After the recital. How long will that be? I mean, what time is it at? 4, 4:30? 43 be here. Right, 4-4:30. I have a visitor coming tomorrow. Your mom. Uh-huh. She's gonna let us clip on my counter. Oh, I will fucking make her. I just can't um because people need to leave before I can record. We could do it at like eight or nine. So, should I tell you about my hallucination? Oh, yeah. I was finishing work, it was late. Everybody's sleeping, and I fell asleep on the couch with my laptop. And I wake up and I think I see a huge spider. What I thought I saw was something that was the size of a tarantula. Oh god. And I woke up, it was like 215 in the morning. So I wake up and I scream and I run. Instead of running upstairs, I run underneath. I thought, okay. I thought I saw it in like, you know, the opening to go from the TV room, like to the kitchen. I thought I saw it on the wall there. I ran under that and went to the bathroom because the whole reason I even woke up was because I had to so I wake up, I think I see this huge spider, I scream, and I run to the bathroom instead of running upstairs. Because at the end of the day, what I'm going to need to do is because that'll be funny. Yeah, my husband. So I go pee and I'm freaking out. And I'm like, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. I don't have my phone on this side. I don't want to run back under because I don't know where this thing went. But I are stuck. Uh-huh. I'm stuck. And I'm like, I I got I'm crying because I'm so scared because this thing was fucking huge. So it's finally, I ask Alexa what time it is. It's like 2 45 in the morning. And my I have nothing with me. Like I didn't have my computer on that side. I didn't have my phone. Where were you gonna sleep on that side exactly? Oh, I was sitting down. I was like, okay, it's two o'clock. It finally gets to 2 45. I'm like, okay, I'll like he does usually wake up soon. Shut up. Like it's gonna be okay. I start, I was like starting to have anxiety attacks. It's like 25 minutes that you're awake for this. It's 25 minutes. I woke up around 2.20 and I resolved my problem at 2.45. So around 2.45, I start calling for him. And I know he's gonna wake up soon. And I could kind of hear him moving. I was like, babe, babe, I need you. I'm really sorry, I need you. So he finally hears me. And he's like, What is the problem? And he's just shouting from upstairs. And I'm like, I think I saw a spider. I need you to come down here because I'm too scared because I don't know. I'm freaked out at the idea of me sticking my head under the wall, like under the opening where I thought I saw this thing crawl. I'm like, it's gonna follow me. Now, if it's not there, we're not gonna know what this huge big spider. Is how what what are we gonna do? Like, I'm crying, I'm freaked the fuck out. It's two o'clock in the morning. Now it's almost three. So he comes down and he's like, There's there's nothing here. I'm like, no, I saw it, and I'm adamant about this.

SPEAKER_01

And as the day goes on and I wake up more, I'm like, oh but you sat there for 20 minutes, and no point did you realize that it might not be what you actually know this entire time.

SPEAKER_02

I'm still convinced by three o'clock in the morning, still, that this thing is real.

SPEAKER_01

You should have come to some type of no, I couldn't come out of it.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe I I also like been on a gummy or something. It was probably the night that I did like 15 milligrams of that's my hallucination this week. I felt really bad. I finally was like, um, I think maybe I imagined it. He was like, Yeah, you think. It's like, yeah, it was like the size of a tarantula. But I was so I that's how vivid it was for me. What is that? Dog walker? White tin.

SPEAKER_01

Look at the little fucking little pieces that I don't know. Why do we always do that? I hoarded them because I wanted every ounce of it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's like gold. Well, it is because sometimes that goes out of stock. I know. That's why I was probably hoarding those because I wanted that little insy bits that's gonna get me a little bit high. Every time the white tin dog walker goes out of stock, it reminds me of COVID times when things were unavailable and that you wanted.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I've seen them in a couple I saw them at the at the Elmwood Park Place. These, the white ones. I've seen I haven't seen them be out of stock for a while. They've been in stock. Praise B. Praise B. We don't we don't buy them anymore. We just keep trying other shit. Think about dog war. Oh, well, all of well, not all of them, but a lot of these brands. The thing is, after you open the outer packaging, you lose the strain name, like the label. You've got to write it on the tin so that we remember what strain we're smoking. Because the white tins aren't they're not always the same strain, they're just stronger. Yeah. Thinking of the amount of moms that are in our school, how many moms do you think like get high like we do? But just haven't discussed it, talked about it, outrip it. Max five more moms. Out of all of them? Yeah. Like this? Including us or not including us? Not including us. So seven total. I think out of all the moms, I bet there's seven total to get this. Including us. Yeah, five. Five more. That might be overdoing it. In terms of like percentage of moms who are like on the THC drinkable train. I bet it's like 15%. I'm like dying from that. Oof. I think it's like 15%. What 15% of the people's do this? THC. In general or WAMP like that? No, no, no, no, no. I mean like socially drink. I said THC drinkables. They're so popular now. Okay, so what's the quantity? What's the ratio of moms that do to moms that socially do? Or moms that don't to moms that socially do. Oh, I'm not sure. No, we say there's like seven total. I'm saying that like 85% of moms don't. 80% of moms. How many ups egg? How many do you think socially? Why are we doing math right now? Because stoner math is not. I'm not enjoying it. My brain. I'm saying that 80% of moms do not. So 20%. So 20% of them of the 20%, only seven of those people womp. Yeah. Like womp, womp. Oh, black hole.

SPEAKER_01

There it is.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome back. Also light in the sky anymore.

SPEAKER_02

I think that was the construction on the highway. I think it was aliens. That would make a better story. What? I always want cards to go by. Hi. I don't know. I just waiting for them to like give us something to talk about. 227. Oh, should we talk about 227? What the fuck are you doing right now? I can't even. You're talking so fast and making absolutely no fucking sense. This is like your nonsense. This is like literally this is your nonsense text messages in real life. No. Yeah, maybe. But I understand everything I'm saying. You don't know. Now I've 227? What? Yes, thank you. I'm gonna have a lemon head to let you tell me whatever the fuck you're about to say. Remember how many times I told you this now twice? Tell me what there are some times when I'm like waiting for something or somebody or people or whatever that like I put my head out the window, and there used to be a show. I was extremely young, extremely young. And it was a like an African-American sitcom. And it was an older woman, and she sat in front of the window, and she just like watched and talk shit about people as they wanted these girls in our tests. Yes. Because I feel like that more often than I should. Why does that come to my brain? How old was when did that hold on, we have to do some statistics while you have your hour. Oh my god. Did you see my face at first? Do I was so cocky about it?

SPEAKER_01

This particular show that I'm just that I'm talking about was a series from 1985, which is the year I was born, until 1990.

SPEAKER_02

And I am relating a show that was on when I was five. So max ten, because it was a five-year show. And that just pops in my brain. It was five decades ago. Every time I look out the window, I think of that woman. I feel like I'm her. I'm looking around. When I sit on my when I sit on my porch and I'm by myself. So much to do for tomorrow. I have a dentist appointment. Maybe the face. We have so much to do tomorrow. Yeah. That's my face. Yeah. Um, I have a dent disappointment at nine, which means I need to be ready for the day by 8:30 because we'll come back. I'll be home around like 10:30. We have to be driving out of here by like 12:15. Okay. So I have I have to get two of them ready. So everything needs to be ready to go. And then people are coming over right after. So everything's got to be ready tonight. I gotta make all the burgers clean. Like do all the burgers. I can at least be high with mine tomorrow. I I will be by the time we hit the recital. Oh, but I'm just gonna be sitting watching a softball game all day. You just melt into a chair. Nine? That sounds great. Starts at night, I think at three. I could sit still in this womp and do nothing all day. No, but and no other moms on the team. Plane. Plane. Motherfuckers. It's so late. So I never noticed the planes. I don't know why. You're your your eyes are very closed.

SPEAKER_01

I'm trying to open them.

SPEAKER_02

Amanda? Amanda. Uh-huh. This is not just oh, this sucks. I gotta get across the street with more people. I buy you like a candle that's a big one. This is why I need a bridge. Could you imagine if you carried like a candle that was like electric and it's just over the bridge? Just fucking walked over the bridge with a fucking candle. Come on. That would be creepy. That's epic. That would be pretty creepy. Can you AI me holding a candle on the bridge while AI me drives a mail truck under the bridge? It's gotta be dark outside too. Yes. And visible black light. A candle. What's that sound effect? It's the candle. Okay. One day I'm gonna call you and be like, Amanda, do you have any Amanda? Do you have any of those like what? Amanda.
