Hi friends, welcome to It's Time to Eat. I'm your host, Winifer. I'm so happy you stopped by. Come on in and join me for prayer. Yes, come on in, have a seat. Today's prayer is going to be a prayer that is going to allow us to receive an understanding of the importance of being cautious as to who we bless and ask the Lord's peace to rest upon. So we're going to be starting our prayer in Luke chapter 10, verse 3 through 6, and then we'll see if there are any more scriptures that the Lord wants us to uh uh to read and to hear what he has to say. Um also, before we get started, I'm so happy that you had a wonderful week. I did also. Um, I just want to ask you, did you have a chance to subscribe to the podcast? Yes. And also, could you please share the link with a friend, a family member, or a coworker? Share it with your church family. Yes. It's a wonderful podcast, I believe. It's um inspired by the Holy Spirit, and I pray that you will develop a knowledge and understanding. Yes. All right, let's go ahead and let's begin to read Luke chapter 10, verse 3 through 6. It says, Go your way. Behold, I send you out like lambs into the midst of wolves. Carry no purse, no provisions, bag, no change of sandals, and refrain from retarding your journey by saluting and wishing someone well along the way. Whatever house you enter, first say, peace be to this household. Freedom from all the distresses that result from sin be with this family. And verse six goes on to say, and if anyone worthy of peace and blessedness is there, the peace and blessedness you wish shall come upon him, but if not, it shall come back to you. Yes, the peace that you wished upon them will return to you. You know, it's amazing how we do like to bless everyone and ask the Lord's peace upon them, but there are some people that those blessings and the peace is not going to rest upon them. There are. It's important that we allow the spirit of discernment through the Holy Spirit to guide us as to who we bless in Jesus' name. Because the blessings cannot rest on everyone, and then they go about thinking that it was a lie. And we know that our God is not a liar. Everyone's not going to be able to receive blessings in peace. And the Lord knows why, it's through no fault of yours. Your heart is in it, and you're not being cruel or uncaring, but be very cautious as to who you bless, who you greet. I remember one time I prayed for someone. Her ankles were swollen. She didn't ask me to pray for her. I looked down at her ankles and I'm like, oh my Lord, let me pray for you. Do you know that swelling jumped off of her legs, her ankles, and it got on mine? And then I had to ask the bishop and another preacher to pray for me. You have to be careful because everyone's spirit is not the right spirit that is within you. Okay, come on in. We're not going to let the spirit of fear entertain any thoughts in our heads or settle in our hearts in our spirit, because that is not why we're here. We're here because we need knowledge and understanding. And he's given that to us through the scripture reading today. So when they come up to you, if it's someone that the peace has not fallen upon, sometimes they haven't received it. Doubting. Don't worry. It's nothing you did. All right, let's pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we pray that you will cleanse us of anything that would hinder our prayers from being heard. Yes, we do. We ask this in Jesus' name. Lord, we ask your favor when we're blessing and well-wishing and asking for peace to rest upon people, individuals that we come in contact with. That you will give us a spirit of discernment, and that you allow your peace and your blessings to rest upon those who you desire. Lord, we thank you. Let your will be done. Amen. Well, I really hate to see you go. I do enjoy when you stop by. Yes, I do. You're so pleasant. Yes, you are. Well, until next week, I really am praying that you will have a blessed week. That you will study your Bible and develop your relationship with our Lord, and that no matter what obstacle that may come your way, just know there's no weapon formed against you that's gonna prosper. You are a child of the true living God, and he wants the best for you as well as for me.
