Hi friends, welcome to It's Time to Eat. I'm your host, Winifer. Today we're gonna discuss being chosen by God. To be chosen by God means that I can think of four things right off the bat. Being chosen by God is one, you're set apart from others. Two, it's a there will be an intense spiritual growth. Three, you'll be drawn to your purpose. That means you can't escape your calling. And four, you'll face unusual resistance and opposition. All right. Let's start with reading Numbers chapter twelve. This is something that was revealed to me. All right. Now it says, While they were in Hazarh, Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses on the pretext of the marriage he had contracted with a Kushite woman. They complained, Is it through Moses alone that the Lord speaks? Does he not speak through us also? And the Lord heard this. Now Moses himself was by far the meekest man on the face of the earth, so that once the Lord said to Moses and Aaron and Miriam, Come out you three to the meeting tent, and the three of them went. Then the Lord came down in the column of cloud and standing at the entrance of the tent called Aaron and Miriam. When both came forward he said, Now listen to the words of the Lord. Should there be a prophet among you, in visions will I reveal myself to him, and dreams will I speak to him? Not so with my servant Moses. Throughout the house he bears my trust. Face to face I speak to him, plainly and not in riddles. The presence of the Lord he beholds. Why then did you not fear to speak against my servant Moses? That's what God wanted to know. He's asking Aaron and Miriam this. And he's asking them this right in front of him, in front of Moses. Now, Miriam and Aaron, remember, they grew up together, so there might have been like a little bit of closeness there. And they are older. Moses is a younger, the younger brother. And Moses was also, you know, raised in an Egyptian household. So right there, that's a sign of jealousy, you know. But anyhow, let's move on, you know, because if they were rose to raised together, Miriam and Aaron, there's going to be a little bit more of a closer bond. They're able to relate to different situations and whatnot. Verse 9 goes on to say, So angry was the Lord against them that when he departed and the cloud withdrew from the tent, there was Miriam, a snow white leper. When Aaron turned and saw her a leper, oh my Lord, he said to Moses, Please do not charge us with the sin that we have foolishly committed. He's the only one that's admitting that they did anything. And can he speak for them both? Let her not thus be like the stillborn babe that comes forth from its mother's womb with its flesh half consumed. Then Moses cried to the Lord, please not this, pray heal her. Listen to what God said. But the Lord answered Moses, Suppose her father had spit in her face, would she not hide in shame for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days, only then may she be brought back. So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people went did not stay out again, and the people did not start out again until she was brought back. After that, the people set out from set out from Hezmah and encamped in the desert of Paradise. You know, God is going to deal with some people that have done things that are not holy. There are people right now doing horrible things to you, me, and others, and they are his servants. When you think Aaron and Miriam, they were God's servants as well as Moses, and he heard what they were saying. Excuse me, it doesn't go on to list every single thing they were saying, but you know it had to be something for God to intervene just like that and say, come on, you three. Aaron, Miriam, and Moses. Moses didn't even have a clue. They were upset with who his wife was. Yeah. There can be people that'll be upset about different things that are in your private life and mine as well. And it'll try to shake them up. But God got it worked out. Yes, he does. So you couldn't, that was opposition. You know, you may not receive something like that as a sign, and there's a possibility it'll be something worse than that. But that's a a test of opposition there, where you'll face unusual resistance and opposition. And even after doing that, they still wanted him to have mercy on her, but God said no. There are things that we do to others or say to others or behave in a way that's not appropriate in the sight of God, and he will punish us for it. There's some people right now that think they've gotten by. Yep. If it's not father filtered, I wouldn't do it. Now, let's go over here to Job chapter one. Because I want to tell you who's coming through here, causing all kind of havoc. Job chapter one, verse six through twelve. Let's read that. One day, when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, Whence do you come? Then Satan answered the Lord and said, From roaming the earth and patrolling it. And the Lord said to Satan, Have you noticed my servant Job? And that there is no one on earth like him, blameless and upright, fearing God and avoiding evil. But Satan answered the Lord and said, Is it for nothing that Job is God fearing? Have you not surrounded him with his him and his family and all that he has with your protection? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his livestock are spread over the land. But now put forth your hand and touch anything that he has, and surely you will blaspheme, he will blaspheme you in your face. And the Lord said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only do not lay a hand upon his person. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. There are people that do things to you, don't even have permission from God to do it. They've just been listening to what the enemy has to say. And he works inside of them. Yeah. And instead of them rebuking it, oh Lord, please take this thought away from me. They don't, they continue. All right. Now let's move on. Whenever you are on your journey and your beginning, even during it, people will do things that are not appropriate to try to put a stop to it. Maybe it's something that you're going to reveal that's shameful to them. It got nothing to do with them. No, it doesn't. Because there's, like I said, you're going to be drawn to your purpose. And you can't escape your calling. Okay. Intense spiritual growth. And you are set apart from others. And when I say set apart, there's a possibility you enjoy being in your own company. You don't want to be bothered with anyone. Because them intervening could hinder your growth with God. Seriously. And you just enjoy, it's just not, you're not being antisocial. You just enjoy being alone. And then there's going to come a time where he's going to incorporate some people into your social circle. And it may just be a social circle of two or three. But they will understand you. They will get you. And you will understand them and they will get you. Because they'll understand who you are serving. And I'm not talking about being around people where people just try to just incorporate themselves in your life. To the point where I have been to the point where I'm like, we are not even serving the same God. He's not going to put you in my life and you're destructive like that, not like that. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And let me tell you, because right here, Romans chapter 9, verse 16 through 18 tells us, so it depends not upon a person's will or exertion, but upon God who shows mercy. For the scripture says to Pharaoh, This is why I have raised you up to show my power through you, that my name may be proclaimed throughout the earth. Consequently, he has mercy upon whom he wills and he hardens whom he wills. And he does. Tell me, God doesn't make any mistakes. There's some people that think others are walking around with the anointing that is invested inside of them and it's theirs. What are you saying about my God? I don't know about yours, but about the one that I serve. My God is omnipresent. And when I say that, he is here, there, and everywhere. Just like you heard right there in Numbers chapter 12. He knows. He hears and he sees every single thing. If you are not the vessel that he's using for to tear someone down, don't you do it on your own. You're gonna teach them a lesson. You're gonna tell them what they can pray for and what they can't pray for. Excuse me? It's not your kingdom. No, it's not. It says, You will say to me, Why then does he still find fault? For you can oppose his will. But who indeed are you, a human being, to talk back to God? Will what is made say, will what is made say to its maker? That means he made you and you the maker, telling him what I've done that. Why have you created me so? You ever been going through all so much stuff? It's like hell, you've been going through so much hell. Sit out somewhere, Mr. Whiskers. You've been going through so much hell every time you turn around is something. I have.

SPEAKER_00

Did you see what they did? Do you see me? We can't be serving the same guy. We can't be.

SPEAKER_01

Talking about you, just the gossip. And I'm you may think when people are saying things about you, especially when they're lying on you and don't know what they're talking about, just saying stuff. Like you're doing something your heavenly father tells you not to do. Why are you doing that? I'm not gonna sit up and gossip about you. Something that somebody told me, and I'm gonna tell them, I don't want to hear that. I was working at this one place. It's a security company. And I was one of their security officers. And this one guy, he had heard some information, and he wanted to share. And I'm like, well, I thought it was like something good that was gonna come out, but he wanted to share who was getting fired off of a job. And I'm like, I don't want to hear that. I had to raise my voice and tell him and let him know, listen, you done broke my peace. You think I want to celebrate somebody losing their job? My belief is I said I'm just celebrating that, guess who's next in line? I am. Tell me something that I can celebrate. Like they getting a promotion. I want to celebrate that. And let me tell you, you know where they fired at? They were talking about the little man he was, but honey, when the firing came down to it. Cause I'm like, how do you you are running the company and you telling somebody that's on their way up the ladder who you getting ready to fire? But he let me know I wasn't getting fired. I don't want to hear that. See, the next time you have a conversation with someone, I might be on that list. I don't want to hear that. I don't celebrate someone's downfall like that. Even my enemies.

SPEAKER_00

Not unless he says so.

SPEAKER_01

Don't you know Saul? I ain't talking about the one, the king. I'm talking about the one who changed his name, they changed his name to Paul. The one who was friends, him and Barabbas, they were friends. Don't you know the one that wrote some of the greatest books, their letters, and helped build the churches. If you cannot see that God can use someone that is like me, when the people in the church, I ain't talking about the Catholic church, it never made me feel any type of way other than Michael. I'm talking about in the mainstream church. I'm a woman that had children out of wedlock. I was married to a man that is not a father of any of my children. And divorce Let me tell you I'm talking about Saul who was on a mission to tear down the Jesus movement. Okay. They call him Paul. Don't you know when he first came out, if it was not for the Lord reaching out? Once he was blinded, don't you know they were probably scared of him? But they really trusted and believed in the Lord. Why would you think that he couldn't use somebody like me? Why would you think that he couldn't use somebody like your next door neighbor, even if she did fall down drunk coming out of a club? Why would you think about she he couldn't use this man that went through and womanized, he's a womanizer. But God using him now. He shows up and vessels that are weak. I remember one time we were in church, I got so tickle, and she the one lady she read the scripture. And if you're not sick, what use do you have for going to a hospital or anything like that? If you're not weak, why do you need energy drink? Something to help lift you up. I'm serious. Why would you just drink it? Just to drink it. Cause it tastes good? Why not let Christ use who he wants to use? I'm serious. Everybody doesn't have to be like, y'all. Hey, he Come in, please. Look at Mary Magdalene. Who do you think she was? He used her. Stop telling people what they can do and what they can't do. Start listening to what God has to say to you and let him use you. What you're doing is they ain't going to hell because they weren't able to be used. You might be because you convinced them otherwise. That's a stumbling block. Being put in their way. Because God didn't choose you. He chose you. He might have chosen you to be the vessel to knock them down. And look what you did. You did it. But I would have asked God, let me tell you. I do it. I ask them whatever I die or sin against somebody. Because honey, there have been times when I have been so under attack, it'll blow your mind the things I said to God about things that want to occur to my enemies. My goodness, it really would. Let me go on back here to verse 19 in chapter 9 because it's letting you know the intense spiritual growth that occurs when you're set apart and you're embarking on the purpose that God has for you. Facing all that unusual resistance and opposition, man, it's a mind boggling experience. But anyway, how it says, you will say to me then, why then does he still find fault? For who can oppose his will? But who indeed are you, a human being? To talk back to God, will what is made say to its maker, Why have you created me so? Or does not the potter have a right over the clay to make out of the same lump one vessel for a noble purpose and another for a ignoble one? What if God wishing to show his wrath and make known his power has endured with much patience the vessels of wrath made for destruction? This was to make known the riches of his glory to the vessels of mercy, which he has purposed previously for glory, namely us whom he has called, not only from the Jews, but also from the Gentiles. I'm glad he's using us, the Gentiles, as well. I just want to say, you know, whichever vessel that he's using, even though he may be using some to do evil, to harm us, those whom he truly loves and they are his, he's not gonna lose you. He is not. Or me. But if you refuse to change, you will be punished. You cannot keep disrupting people's lives just because you think they're walking in your purpose. Make it make sense. Now, 1 Peter chapter 2, verse 9. Let's go ahead and wrap this up here. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own. So that you may announce the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Now, why would he call me out of darkness to turn me back around to make me hurt his Christian babe? Make it make sense. Once you were no people, but now you are God's people. You had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Don't take advantage of his mercy or his grace. You think he's gonna give you enough mercy where you can keep coming through hurting people? I've seen times, let me tell you, this resistance and opposition. I want to tell you about a time when God helped build me and he protected me. There was a woman, she planted three rotten eggs right there in my little yard, this little small yard. And she didn't even care if I saw her. But what she didn't know is after she planted them, guess what I did? I went right out there and I pulled them up and slung them right there in the road. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

She understood very well.

SPEAKER_01

That was not God's will for me. And let me tell you, her child was in the same classroom with my child, my youngest child, and she hadn't seen me in, I think maybe I say four to six years, seven at the most, and she saw me at a school meeting. She held her head down and she turned herself to the side. She was condemned. Because when she saw me, I still was walking myself around, bouncing all through.

SPEAKER_00

She hadn't taken anything away from me.

SPEAKER_01

And I was able to sit up and just look. She had to turn her body all around to the side. And you should have seen her, she was hurt up getting up out of there. And needless to say, she never attended another meeting. Not one that I came to went to.

SPEAKER_00

And we were the children were going to the same school. He will make your enemy stop. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

God is not going to let someone harm you just for no account reason. Even if he do, he'll put a stop to it. Yeah. When you're drawn to your purpose. When I first was drawn to my purpose, I had, I've been reading the scripture where John the Baptist had baptized Jesus. And the Lord was pressing on my spirit, and he was letting me know you need to be baptized. Okay. That's where I was drawn to the purpose. I was saved, but I wasn't like, you know how when you're new, you're just flopping all over the place. You're saying, Jesus, this, Jesus that, uh-uh, Jesus. You're just doing that. You're so glad to know that he's real. He's real. He's real. And everybody's just listening to you. I forget the name of it, what they were calling it. It's like, good, she finally know he's real. You know, instead of make believe he is real. Anyhow, I read that scripture about Jesus, he got baptized and how the Holy Spirit descended on him and stuff. Then I read the scripture about when the Holy Ghost came in on the scene up there in Acts. And then something came upon me, and I'm like, Well, am I baptizing? I'm like, okay. I don't know if I'm baptized or not. No one ever spoke about it. So I'm like, let's get baptized. And he said he didn't want me to be baptized. Like, you know how my kids were, they were sprinkled. And there's nothing wrong with that. But he wanted me to be immersed. I mean, he wanted to wash me. Okay. So I was immersed, okay, under the water. And I called around to see different ones. It was the church where I was going to, they didn't do baptism. And they were excited. Oh, we'll baptize you, Winifer, in August. Wait until August. And I'm like, I need to be baptized before then. Unless they fell out with me because I wasn't willing to wait until August for what? And then another one is like right there around Easter. Ugh. Mm-mm. No, no, no, no, no. So I was substituting in a class. And so there was another woman that was substituting in the class. And you can't have two teachers together because both of them want to teach. But anyhow, she's like, Well, you can teach. And I'm like, no, you can. And like, because I'm just going to be here for half a day because I had to go somewhere else. I had a training. And so we began to talk and we hit it off. And she began to tell me that she was new in the area. And I'm like, well, I've been, I think I had been around for maybe I had been there for like a year. Maybe yeah, a year, one or two years. No, a year. And so she's like, I'm like, I read the Bible and I just know God wants me to be baptized, but He wants me to be immersed under the water. And so I'm like, I the place where I've been going to church, they don't do baptism until August. And she's like, okay. And I'm like, I don't he wants me to have it done here recently. And then this next one is in gotta wait all the way until Easter. And she's like, oh no, no. She's like, When for her family lived in Philly. And so she's like, Well, and I'm like, I don't want to go all the way to Philly to get baptized. And Azade would have either she'd had them do it. And she's like, I know this one preacher, him and his wife, they are they live around here, and I'm pretty sure they will do it. Won't you let me set it up? And I'm like, okay, we'll see. And she did. So she was able to set it up for me. And they happened to be they were very nice people to me. And you should have seen it. It was very nice how they had it. They had me dressed in white and everything. And he told me he's like after the baptism and everything. And they had it where, oh my gosh, it was really nice. It was a celebration, a ceremony where they had the music on and the hand clapping, and I walk through. Oh my gosh. And you would have thought something super phenomenal was happening. And so when I got to the pool, their baptismal pool was under the stage. So when they had a thing and they pushed the button and it opened up, you would never even know that was there unless you were a member of that church. And so it opened up and there was this big pool, and it was nice and warm. It wasn't cold or anything. So it heated. It was a heated pool. And so if you were to ask me where it's at today, I wouldn't know how to get you there. I was on a cloud floating through. And so he baptized me. He took me under. And when I went underneath the water, I just felt, oh my gosh. I felt it felt soothing. It felt really good. I just didn't feel like myself. I felt light. Anyhow, he told me, he's like, your baptism is different from all the others. He said it didn't have any, he said it was great. It went beautifully. He was letting me know that usually it's like people thrashing, and he's like, it just was you went down and you came back up. It was just smooth. And it did. I didn't have to struggle to get up. I got went under and then I came back up. And he's like, usually it's just something else. But anyhow, I got it. And it was really nice. And then after that, then they had me to go back. They drive me off and everything. And they were telling me, he's like, well, whenever you feel when you feel the spirit, just start singing. Even if you're in the shower, just sing to God and let him know that you feel him, you know, like that. And so I began to do that. And that's what I've been doing here now and ongoing. And no one's gonna take that away from me. I pray, not even myself. Yeah. So when God tells you to do something, do it. And we're drawn to your purpose. You can't escape it. And no matter who gets upset with you, that's when that intense spiritual growth will begin. Seriously. And you're set apart from others. People that are not supposed to be with you anymore. There were two people in particular. God cut them off for me and he showed it to me in the beginning. I didn't want them gone, but he's letting me know. No, he had to show me. You see how Miriam and Aaron carried on, especially Miriam. God let Moses know what was going on. Yeah. He had all three of them come out there so he could have a talk with them, you know, about what was happening, what how they were jealous of Moses because of the anointing that God had invested inside of him. And if Moses felt secure with his speech and how he could present everything to Pharaoh, there wouldn't have been any purpose for Aaron, not as far as being there talking to Aaron about Pharaoh about anything. Yeah. That means we have insecurities. Don't let anyone with what insecurity we may have, don't let anyone use that where they can stop God's will for us. Even though he was a stutterer. He stuttered his he couldn't present like long speeches and stuff. It's just like he didn't believe that God could speak through him like that. Can you imagine how God loved him in spite of how he stuttered? In spite of the woman that he loved.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. He had murdered a man. Ran all the way and everything. But God still used him.

SPEAKER_01

And people will think because you have not you weren't a virgin when you got married. You haven't been with that one man or that one woman. Which I'm not saying go be with whoever you this, that, and the other ones. Or whatever relationship you were in, who am I to judge?

SPEAKER_00

But if you have had multiple partners, don't you know God knows that too?

SPEAKER_01

He knows the circumstances around that situation. Others don't. And those that did some of them used you. Me too. For your money, your time, your energy. Whatever it was.

SPEAKER_00

Your knowledge.

SPEAKER_01

Just don't let people stop you from letting God use you because they can't use you. You're not enough. And don't let someone convince you that God made a mistake and put an anointing inside of you that belonged to them.

SPEAKER_00

Let them try to steal it. You're protected.

SPEAKER_01

I wouldn't want to get caught with something that's not mine. So remember, when you're set apart, there may be people that God will distance you from. Let them say whatever they want to say about you. You ain't got that heel in your life no more. All that mess they want to do to you. And then have a reason why. Apologizing to them for their behavior. I remember one lady that was in that I was in their family line. I'm not in it. I asked God to remove me because I'm such a disgrace to him. Have me apologizing to her for something she did. She was completely out of line the way she spoke about her son. Still is. Excuse me. But you don't hear about people getting raped in the Bible like that. The same things that are going on now were going on back there. There were gay and lesbian relationships back then, too. And yes, there's scripture that quotes against that. And in case you haven't noticed, a lot of things that are happening now, I believe God is allowing it to happen.

SPEAKER_00

To still make known his will.

SPEAKER_01

It was going on back then too. You can't tell me it wasn't. You may go through things. You're set apart from others. He'll chosen away those who he don't want in your life, no matter how much they keep trying to come in. He said no. And don't do it.

SPEAKER_00

Don't do what they want you to do.

SPEAKER_01

Intense spiritual growth, you're gonna get knowledge and understanding and learning. And they're gonna wonder, well, who she learned that from?

SPEAKER_00

They didn't teach it to you.

SPEAKER_01

The Holy Spirit. You heard what God said about Moses. Said he was the meekest man in the world. He was here on this planet, meek. And you can see man talk about a friend named God. Can you imagine that? He heard them sitting up there talking about him, you know, telling how they were putting him down. They were jealous. And him and her probably got along so well. And then they sitting up there talking about it. Yeah. I don't know, did Miriam have a husband and a family? Get out from there, Mr. Whiskers. He did this the last time when I recorded this. But anyhow, we're gonna go through some things. And most definitely you're gonna be drawn to your purpose. And you can't escape that. And you're definitely gonna face unusual circumstances. And you heard what he said. First Peter chapter two, verse nine. And ten. I'm gonna read it one more time. It says, but you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own. So that you may announce the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were no people, but now you are God's people. You had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Let's just give God some praise. And just know when you are chosen, you will go through some things. And know God does not miss make mistakes. Even if somebody parading around and has stolen your identity, God know who you is. They don't, but God does. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

No, you are not.

SPEAKER_01

Can you imagine that? To think God is like that. What kind of mind do you think he has? God don't know, but and you have people helping you. Well, anyhow, just remember when you're chosen by God, you are set apart from others. You have intense spiritual growth, you're drawn to your purpose. That means you cannot escape your calling no matter who you. Jump up and down, stamping and screaming their feet, and you will face unusual resistance and opposition. And you are no longer your own. You're no longer walking in the light and where the devil is. You are God's chosen one. Yes, you are. Yep. And he does not make mistakes. He's not going, even if Winifer is running around acting like she is Sally Sue, unless I have changed my name legally, and that is my name. But he knows who Winifer is, and he knows who Sally Sue is. And that's no person I know at all. That's just a name thrown out there. Yeah. You can't take anything from me. You can't make me give you something. Even if you ask, if I say no, means no. You know, being alone and away from people that think they know you, that's when you truly get to know who God is.

SPEAKER_00

I live in Pennsylvania and I was born in Florida. I came to Pennsylvania when I was five years old.

SPEAKER_01

And I moved back to Pennsylvania, Florida when I was thirteen, actually twelve.

SPEAKER_00

Finished high school and I moved back.

SPEAKER_01

I think I was like twenty-six, twenty-seven when I moved back to Pennsylvania, and I have lived in Pennsylvania all the way up until now. My oldest daughter was three years old when I moved to Pennsylvania, and she is now thirty-five years old.

SPEAKER_00

These people that live in Florida, you don't know me. What you know is a lie, what your imagination has conjured up. But you don't know me at all. They don't. You know nothing about me.

SPEAKER_01

No, you do not. And I don't know anything about you either. And I used to go and visit different ones. I don't bother those people anymore. Like I said, you're set apart. Don't mean you this fabulous. No, I'm not. I'm just me staying out of people's way and trying to learn all I can about God. So anyone that knows me, and anyone that remembers me from Florida, if you even entertain listening to this podcast, and anyone comes and whispers anything into your ear, say when's the last time you saw her? And I'm not talking about on Facebook. All right, have a blessed week. I want to ask in Jesus' name that you will continue to be with us and nurture our hearts, our minds, our spirits, and heal us from the things that others would try to do. And I pray that you will work with your servants that think that others are walking in the anointing that you have invested inside of them. It's a lie. No one's walking in your anointing. Your anointing is inside of you or around you or on you. But no one can take that. Even if you give it to people, it's being wasted because it's left on the ground. They may think they're walking in it, but they're not. You gotta think, maybe God just wants to bless you. How about that? You don't have to be Christian to be blessed. He might be getting ready to do something great inside of you. Where people are gonna say, all right now, I know God got his hands on him. Because I know years ago, before I came over with Christ, people used to always be asking me, Are you safe? Are you safe? I'm like, No, I am not. Why? And then two ladies, one in particular, she's like, God really got his hands on you. I was just looking smiling. I didn't think any type of way, just smiling. Yeah, but I remember this one lady, I loved her so much. She was a family member that married this family. They think just because you marry somebody that and they either die, that's not your aunt anymore, or your uncle anymore. I think it still is, at least I do. She believed that she's like, oh gosh, she even told the family member, God got his hands all over her. And you just smile whenever they're saying stuff like that. All right, next week on my podcast, I'm going to be talking about the evil eye. Someone sent that to me. And I just want to give you some prayer scripture next week and let you know how great God is. All right, stay blessed in peace. In Jesus' name.
