Hi friends, welcome to Matthew 4.4. I'm your host, Winifort. Today I'm going to talk about the crucifix. The crucifix is dear to me. Every time I look at the crucifix, I can see where someone carried my sins to the cross and I have been redeemed. I want to start with making a statement. This is my own personal opinion. Remember, these are my memoirs. I'm not preaching to you. I'm just sharing my journey through Christ while I'm here on this planet. Things that he has taught me. This is my personal, what I would personally like to see happen, to see people stop speaking against the Lord's holy name, defaming the vessels he has chosen to use because they don't meet their approval. This is one thing. Leviticus chapter twenty two verse one through three tells us The Lord said to Moses, Tell Aaron and his sons to respect the sacred offerings which the Israelites consecrate to me, else they will profane my holy name. I am the Lord. Tell them if any one of you or of your descendants in any future generation dares while he is in a state of uncleanness to draw near the sacred offerings which the Israelites consecrated to the Lord, such a one shall be cut off from my presence. I am the Lord. Verse 16B, that's the second half of that says, and it's the same chapter 22. It is I the Lord who make them sacred. Other words, you're not the one that gets to choose whom he's going to use. He sets us apart, cleans us up, and he's a vessel. And those that he has chosen that will, when we talk to them, we're not running around trying to minister to them, but when we speak to them and tell them of the goodness of God, they can relate. Each one of us, even though we can't put limitations on God, he is able to use just one person to get through to the whole world, but he chose not to. Evidence of what we have here in Leviticus chapter 22, verse 17 through 25 tells of the reasoning behind Christ agreeing to become the sacrificial lamb for all of us. The Lord said, Speak to Aaron and his son and to all the Israelites, and tell them, when anyone of the house of Israel or any alien residing in Israel who wishes to offer a sacrifice brings the Holocaust as a votive offering or as a free will offering to the Lord, it is to be acceptable. The ox, or if it is to be acceptable, the ox or sheep or goat that he offers must be unblemished, an unblemished male. As without anything on it, it's just Christine. It's it's perfect. You shall not offer one that has any defect, for such a one would not be acceptable for you. When anyone presents a peace offering to the Lord from the herd or the flock in fulfillment of a vow or has a free will offering, it is to find acceptance. It must be unblemished. It shall not have any defect. One that is blind or crippled or maim, or one that has a running sore, mange or ringworm, you shall not offer to the Lord. Do not put such an animal on the altar as an oblation to the Lord. An ox or a sheep that is any way in any way ill proportioned or stunted, you may indeed present as a free will offering, but it will not be acceptable as a vulture offering. One that has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn out or cut off, you shall not offer to the Lord. You shall neither neither do this in your own land, nor receive from a foreigner any such animals to offer up as the food of your God, since they are deformed or defected, they will not be acceptable for him. Okay? Now remember this, verse 31 and 32, 31 to 33 in Leviticus chapter 22, it says, Be careful to observe the commandments which I the Lord give you, and do not profane my whole my holy name. In the midst of the Israelites, I the Lord must be held as sacred. It is I who made you sacred and led you out of the land of Egypt, that I the Lord might be your God. Do not disrespect God. His son is the one who bore all of our iniquities. When I see that crucifix, and he takes me back down memory lane here in Leviticus chapter 22, when he tells me verses 17 through 25 about the different sacrifices, the different lambs and goats, sheep, whatever we had to present to the priest. You couldn't even present it. I wouldn't even been able to present it. I would have had it to give to one of God's chosen ones. And I couldn't go up there doubting that is a chosen vessel. Even if it did come through the bloodline of Aaron, I had to know without a shadow of a doubt, this is a man of God. And I had to bring that unblemished animal, a male, to him, so that he could go between me and my sin and offer it to God. What we have now is the Holy Ghost, okay? God did it. Let's go to Galatians chapter 1, verse 4 through 5, because back in the Old Testament, it was really gory how they had to do that, okay? Well, Galatians chapter 1, verse 4 and 5 says, 4 says, who gave himself for our sins that we might excuse me. Galatians chapter 1 verse 4 says, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might rescue us from the present evil age in accord with the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Ain't that amazing? And let's go on and read same chapter, Galatians chapter 1, verse 6 through 10. Because from the moment Christ called you and I into ministry, and you accepted, and when I say ministry, my ministry is sharing my memoirs, those private, personal, intimate moments with me and our Lord and Savior. Okay. From the moment Christ called you into ministry and you were you accepted your assignment, don't allow any enemy of our Lord to persuade you to do otherwise. I don't care how prominent they are in this world. All right. Let's start with verse six. It says, I am amazed that you are so quickly forsaken the one who called you by the grace of Christ for a different gospel. Not that there is another, but there are some who are disturbing you and wish to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed. As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one that you received, let that one be accursed. Verse 10 says, Am I not carrying favor with human beings or God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ. Don't let don't be no people pleaser. Don't let people just do whatever they want to do to you. Let's go over here to Luke chapter 22. Excuse me. Trying to slow down because I get so excited and the words just begin to just rumble. Remember how we spoke about what happened, how we had to be presenting sacrifices to Aaron and his sons in Leviticus chapter 22, verse 17 to 25. Well, listen at what happens here in Luke chapter 22, verse 39 to 45. It says, then going out he went, as was his custom to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him. When he arrived at the place, he said to them, Pray that you may not undergo the test. After withdrawing about a stone's throw from them and kneeling, he prayed, saying, Father, if you were willing, take this cup away from me. Still not my will but yours be done. And to strengthen him, an angel from heaven appeared to him. He was in such agony, and he prayed so fervently that his sweat became like drops of blood falling on the ground. When he rose from prayer and returned to his disciples, he found them sleeping with grief. Verse 26 goes on to tell us, he said to them, Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not undergo the test. It says that he prayed so fervently that his sweat became like droplets of blood for our many sins. He was thinking about it. He knew God showed him what it would take for all of us to receive redemption so that we could share in his glory. And you got some that want to tell you what God has told you clearly to continue to keep your mind and eyes focused on God, on Jesus, what he's saying to you. When Jesus took his right his seat on the right hand side of his father, the Holy Ghost came back here.

SPEAKER_01

And he still remains here with us. He does.

SPEAKER_02

Not something he did. He chose, he agreed. But you heard what he said when he knew his time had come for it to be done.

SPEAKER_01

He prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed.

SPEAKER_02

And he said, Father, if it was his will to take that cup from him.

SPEAKER_01

And he said, angels. To strengthen him. They came directly out of heaven.

SPEAKER_02

Let's go to Isaiah chapter fifty-two. Verse fourteen and fifteen. It says, even as many were amazed at him, so marred was his look beyond that of man, and his appearance beyond that of mortals. So shall he so shall he startle many nations because of him king shall stand speechless, for those who have not been told shall seek. Those who have not heard shall ponder it. Isaiah fifty three, verse one through twelve says Who would dis who would believe what we have heard? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up like a sapling before him, like a shoot from the parched earth. There was in him no stately bearing to make him make us look at him, nor appearance that would attract us to him. He was spurned and avoided by men, a man of suffering, accustomed to infirmity, one of those from whom men hide their faces, spurned, and he held and we held him in no esteem. Do some of you meet some of this kind of description? Cause some of you can relate. And this is affirmation, this is confirmation that you are on the correct path. Yet it was our infirmities that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, while we thought of him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted, but he was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins. Upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole. By his stripes we were healed. We had all gone astray like sheep, each following his own way, but the Lord laid upon him the guilt of us all. Though he was harshly treated, he submitted and opened not his mouth. He didn't complain. When I think about God's goodness for me, I complain about trials and tribulations that I go through. Like a lamb led to the slaughter or a sheep before the shears, he was silent and opened not his mouth, oppressed and condemned, he was taken away. And who would have thought any more of his destiny? When he was cut off from the land of the living and smitten for the sin of his people, a grave was assigned him among the wicked, the burial place with evil doers, though he had done no nor spoken any falsehood, but the Lord was pleased to crush him in infirmity. If he gives his life as an offering for sin, he shall see his descendants in a long life, and he will and the will of the Lord shall be accomplished through him. Because of his affliction, he shall see the light and fullness of days. Through his suffering my servant shall justify many, and their guilt he shall bear. Therefore I will give him his portion among the great, and he shall divide the spoils with the mighty, because he surrendered himself to death and was counted among the wicked, and he shall take away the sins of many and win pardon for their offenses. So when I look at that crucifix, that's confirmation that I am pardoned of my past sins, and any ones that I may take partake in in the here and the now and in the future, I am forgiven through my repentance, a genuine heartfelt sorrow, allowing the Holy Ghost to change me from within, counsel me so that my soul does not become reptile, cleanse my black heart, and renew the spirit inside of me through the teachings of Jesus Christ. I will not follow your evil lustful ways.

SPEAKER_01

I got too much to say.

SPEAKER_02

As a result, Isaiah, as a result of this, Isaiah chapter fifty-four, verse seventeen tells me, No harm will come to me. Every tongue you shall prove false, that launches an accusation against you. This is the lot of the servants of the Lord, their vindication from me, says the Lord. When he got up there on that cross, whatever you and the devil are discussing about my past, that's between y'all. I have been redeemed. I don't have to allow that to reign over me. No, I do not, because there's someone that I trust in. I am redeemed through all the troubles that he went through for me. Don't allow anyone to feed your spirit anything other than what is in this Bible. This is the word of God. I don't care what they have been had revealed to them. If you cannot have it where it's lined up, positioned with what is in God's word, because you're gonna find every single thing that God reveals you. These are mysteries. You're gonna find every single thing where it will line up with the scripture. If it does not line up with the scriptures, reject it. Speak to God about it. Because don't lean on your own understanding and hear what He has to say. Don't just jump in there because you heard them preaching on the internet. You heard their podcast. The word is out.

SPEAKER_01

This person knows the word of God. They probably do. But we got to remember not to put anything before our Lord.

SPEAKER_02

So when I see that crucifix, I remember what he did for me. He got up on that cross for me. And he bore all my sins. He knew no sin. He did not. He did not. He did not know any sin. And he willingly got up there because of his love for me. And you. And it's a road. You don't see many people on it. It seems like you're alone, but you are not alone. There is someone with you. So don't be afraid. You are protected. And you just know the Lord is with you.

SPEAKER_01

So the crucifix, when I see that crucifix, I know Jesus isn't stuck up there.

SPEAKER_02

He ain't there to do that. And whether you believe it or not, he got up there for you too. When I, you've heard me say, when I get upset, angry in the spirit with people, non-believers as well as believers who are constantly trying to attack me and it's not father filtered. I take my enemies to the cross, to the foot of the cross. And the cross I'm talking about is the crucifix. I ask God to bring their spirit down there with me while I am bowed down on my knees. And I began to pour out my spirit to him. Tell him what my soul has in it, what's on my mind, how my heart feels.

SPEAKER_01

There have been times when I've told him my heart is black. I want you to save me. The enemy keeps using my sister or brother for a pitfall for me, they done dug a ditch for me, guy.

SPEAKER_02

To fall over in the ditch, what I'm wondering is, how come you don't have two or three of them? And sometimes it's a whole building full of them. Because in his scripture, he says, When you dig in ditches, dig one for yourself also. I'm not saying the journey is gonna be easy, but I tell you one thing: if you allow him, he'll carry that load for you. When I feel that I am at my weakest point, is when I have taken the cross off of his back and put it on mine. That means I am heavily weighted down. And his love for me, he still won't let me carry that completely by myself because I would probably die for things people want to put me through.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Man, I have had men and women wanting to have sex with me in the spirit, and they're not even ashamed of that behavior.

SPEAKER_01

Seriously. There are people that can lay with you in the spirit.

SPEAKER_02

Because I am a woman that has four children living, and I didn't have them for a husband, it's my boyfriend's with an S on the N.

SPEAKER_01

I have four children living from three men. I was engaged to each one of them. I just could not marry them.

SPEAKER_02

And I wanted my children, and because I would not marry two of them, how do you walk away from your children and don't even look back to see if they're still eating, if they're suffering? People can do it. Do you know God gave me a forgiving heart? There's someone right now that's going through that. I was in a medical assisting program. I was in a program trained being trained to be a medical assistant before it became like really popular. They had removed the practical nurse. And this medical assistant was gonna take over. And they did. They put the practical nurse back in there, though. Anyhow, the woman that was my, we used to call them instructors, she was the dominating, she was the lead instructor. Because there was a family member that did not want to see me do well. I'm like, I gotta do something that I so that I can take better care of my kids. I got to go back to school. I already had a high school diploma, so I needed something else to work with. So I decided to do that because that was a program that was for a year during that time. So I'm like, okay, I went in, I signed up for that and I got into that program.

SPEAKER_01

And this person's so dear to me.

SPEAKER_02

She, I don't know, I needed her to watch two of my kids for me on this particular day. And she said no, she could not watch them. That was okay, but she told me at the last minute. So I called in and I'd let him know that I wasn't every to I wasn't able to go in there. But the instructor made me aware that there was going to be a test, a major test, and I would not be exempt from it the next day. And she was telling me what I need to study so that I can make every effort to pass that. And I did just what she said. And so this individual, she called and she badmouthed me. But she didn't know she badmouthed me. Praise God, he is amazing, to the lead instructor. And she had already informed me what I needed to know. But it just brings tears in my eyes because she's the one after I called and let him know, because you had to call and let him know when you're not coming, she reached back out to me and she made sure I knew everything I needed to know. And I passed it. I even hit their honors list. And that after the test, like two days later, she stood in front of the class. The instructor did, the head instructor, and she told everybody what her past looked like. So those of you who think you can stop God's will, you cannot. And you need to stop trying. The person in my family that called her told this woman I was a whore. This is my instructor. That I was a tramp, that I had children at the time I had two baby daddies, and I was nothing, and never would be anything. She didn't say my name, but I could feel it whenever something's like hit me in my stomach, and I'm not gonna know who that was.

SPEAKER_01

She began to say she had two children. She was in love with two men that didn't love her back.

SPEAKER_02

And she did not see her two children as mistakes.

SPEAKER_01

And she said she knew she had to take care of her two kids by herself with the help of who?

SPEAKER_02

G-O-D. God. And she became an instructor. Only thing she had was a high school diploma. And she said she was in another state, away from her family. Even if she was with her family, she said they weren't gonna help her. Don't let anyone persuade you to believe that God is not for you. Because you don't fit the description that they think a follower of Christ should be, and that's perfect. The people that were perfect are the very ones that put him up on that cross for us. So when I say we are going through something, it's not just so that our spirit can get edified and we can get lifted up. We're going through something, somebody we might meet in the future. Someone that might need to hear, oh my God, she got through it. They calling me a whore, they're calling me a tramp. Look what God is doing for her. All that noise in their brain, it'll silence it. Because the scripture that is being thrown in this podcast for someone to hear and for them to know, when I look up at that crucifix, I know he's done something for me, also. It's not just for specific ones, and you don't get a reference. No earthbound person can give you a reference into God's kingdom. They can't. The only reference you can receive is where they want to put you here on this earth. They can badmouth you where you can miss opportunities, or they can lift you up where you can receive blessings work, whatever it is you need in the world.

SPEAKER_01

But no person, no person can block God's blessings for you. No.

SPEAKER_02

So when you hear about he was bruised for our iniquities, he was bruised for theirs too, for defaming you. Can you imagine how I felt? I was twenty nine years old. And I'm 58 now. I was twenty-nine years old when that woman stood up in front of that class.

SPEAKER_01

I mean the class was full. And she spoke about her life.

SPEAKER_02

And she said, Y'all, I would never have even thought I would be living this good.

SPEAKER_01

She said, Hold on.

SPEAKER_02

And she made eye contact with me. It gets better. She said, when they see that you have multiple children from multiple men, it don't matter if it's two, even one man, they're gonna always find a way to put you down. They won't try to back up and see what happened. Like asking you, is there a reason you're not with the children's father? What happened? And the very ones who knew the hell you went through trying to be with that child's father, they'll be the main ones that'll put you down. And depending on who they are and the ranking in your life, mother, father, grandma, whoever it is, sister, brother, they're gonna listen to them because, especially if they're not in the word of God, where it tells you your enemies are in your own household, your mother is saying this about you. Your father is saying this about you, your aunt, your uncle, your next door neighbor. Even the preacher got something to say about her. Yeah. They're gonna nine times out of ten believe what they're saying. They're not gonna break it down to them and tell them the whole thing. No, they're not. But she told me that. And she let me know. She's like, I got a husband now. And you know what she said? It was hard for me to get used to having a husband because I was used to doing it all by myself. That's what she said. And you could hear the like, you could hear like people were just like, oh. But when she made eye contact with me, I knew she was talking to me. But she had reached many in that classroom that day. So remember, Jesus did it all for us. And one last thing, we're gonna repeat what it says in Isaiah chapter 54, verse 17. No weapon fashioned against you shall prevail. Every tongue you shall prove false, that launches an acquisition against you. This is the lot of the servants of the Lord, their vindication from me, says the Lord. When I look at that cross, I know I'm vindicated. Stay blessed. Dear Heavenly Father, I pray in Jesus' name that you will lift up whoever feels broken, put them back together. Put them on firm ground. Let peace reign in their hearts and their minds. Comfort, carry, protect, let them know it is you that is carrying everything. Everything. They are not alone. You are making something great inside of them. Something great. Well they'll be able to even minister to themselves as well as others. Lord, I ask this in Jesus' name. Let your will be done. Amen.
