A huge manifestation misconception is “think positive and lie to yourself and then it will happen!” Wrong. You can feel it when you’re pretending. This is why your dreams haven’t manifested yet.

Hello and welcome back to the Beauty and Positivity Podcast. My name is Alyssa Skinner, and in today's episode, we're gonna talk about the biggest manifestation mistake people make. I realized I was making this mistake a couple years ago now, and I will forever be changed because of it. I guarantee you might be making this mistake too. I'm also gonna teach you how to actually become more abundant in your life. When you feel lack, when you are struggling to find evidence of abundance, I'm gonna give you my tip on how to feel more abundant immediately. So you can use this tip for any emotion. If you feel angry, if you feel frustrated, sad, hopeless, defeated, but you want to feel joyful, free, love, excitement, peace, this is gonna help you shift your vibration into those things, which also teaches you how to actually manifest what you want. So we're gonna talk about abundance because first people want more abundance, right? Everyone wants more money. Abundance is not money, abundance is an excess, overflow, more than enough. And usually we apply that to money because in our 3D world, money brings freedom. So they look at their bank account and they look at the amount of money they have and they don't feel abundant. They feel stressed, hopeless, fearful, these low vibrations, they're not feeling optimistic and they're not feeling abundant. And so the biggest misconception about manifestation is people think their thoughts manifest their reality. You might be shocked to hear me say that that's not how it works. So someone looks at their bank account and they see that they don't have enough to get them through or they don't feel abundant, they immediately feel fear and lack in scarcity. So they start thinking thoughts. You know, they heard in this book that their thoughts manifest the reality, so they're like, okay, I'm gonna start thinking thoughts with more money coming to me. My big break is coming, I know this isn't forever. I'm gonna just try and think positive. They're lying to themselves, and their brain is calling bullshit. Your brain is very smart, okay? And so your brain is looking at the evidence in front of you and going, no, that's not reality. But I don't want you to lie to yourself, okay? You don't manifest by lying to yourself. The thoughts you're thinking don't actually manifest. The way you shift your reality and your experience around you is how you feel. How you feel inside. When you're telling yourself, okay, more money's coming to me, my big break is coming, this isn't forever, this is temporary, that job will be mine one day, one day soon. Hopefully, I wish, I wish someday, one day in the future, that's not manifestation. You are trying all this positive thinking, and you can just feel that you're lying to yourself, right? Because you're looking at your now and you're going, yeah, bullshit. And everything you're saying was rooted in scarcity and fear from the beginning. Because you started saying all of this in the emotion of fear and scarcity and lack. That was what your body was embodying. You looked at your bank account, you felt lack, you started all these affirmations because you felt lack and you started lying to yourself about it. The seed was already planted in lack. It started in lack. The whole affirmation started from lack. And so this is growing fear and scarcity in the future. So you might be saying all the right words, but the words are not what manifest. I wish doesn't manifest. I hope doesn't manifest. One day, someday, that does not manifest. The emotion manifests. So the trick is you get into the emotion necessary to manifest your desires. If you won the lottery, how would you feel? Would you feel free? Would you feel ecstatic, eager, excited, peace, right? So you could agree that you having an abundance of money equals peace, freedom, and excitement, right? Okay, agreed. So yet you're telling yourself lies in your head of, oh, one day this isn't forever, this is temporary, one day I'll feel free and abundant. And there's no excitement in that thought. There is no freedom in that thought, right? The feeling in your body, at least. The thought is not what manifests, the emotion in your body is what attracts. So that's what it means when you've whenever you're feeling right now, when people say like you're a magnet in life, like attracts like, they're talking about the emotion that you're feeling. Your emotion is always creating a future experience to make you feel that same emotion. They don't mean lie to yourself, they mean emotion. Your emotion is what attracts more situations of the future to create the same emotion you have now. Okay. So it's very important to tune into your body and see how you feel, what your vibration is. How you feel is what you're vibrating at. When you look at your bank account and you feel that fear and you feel the lack, you can feel the scarcity and you start thinking about all the stressful situations that are gonna come from not having enough money. The feeling in your body is fear, lack, scarcity, stress. You're attracting another experience in your life one day in the future with this exact same emotion attached to it. Fear, lack, stress. And so that does not mean this exact experience will happen again. That's what we think. We think our thoughts manifest the exact experience. Like, oh, if I'm mean to someone in the store today, someone's gonna be mean to me in the store next week. It's not that, it's the emotion. The any surprise situation or experience could happen with the same emotion that you had that you thought about for way too long. That's what is manifesting. So the trick is how do we deal with this, right? You think about something completely different. Whatever is bringing you fear, stress, and lack, leave it behind you. Completely stop thinking about that thing altogether. Immediately begin thinking about something that makes you feel good, makes you feel abundant. Remember, because if you had more money, you would feel good, you would feel abundant, you would feel peace and freedom. So you must think a thought that makes you feel peace and freedom right now. Because the emotion is what manifests, not the thought. You don't have to think about the desire itself. You have to think about something totally random that actually makes you feel the feeling you would have when you achieved your manifestation. So when you achieve the vibration of freedom, peace, and joy, your reality has no choice but to shift and create experiences that uh evoke emotion in you. Freedom, joy, peace, and love. You do not have to sit there and lie to yourself and try to convince you that the money specifically one day will be better. You don't even have to think about money at all to feel more abundant. That does not create the vibration and the emotion in your body of freedom and abundance. So if you want to feel more abundant, this is silly, but this is exactly how you create the emotion of abundance within you, which then attracts more experiences in the future that make you feel abundant, right? We covered that. There's an abundance of oxygen that you breathe. You breathe in, you breathe out, you don't even think twice about it. You're not taking short, shallow breaths to try and save oxygen for the rest of your week. You're not saving oxygen in your body for when you're older, right? It sounds ridiculous. But yet we do that with money. Why do we do that with money and not oxygen? Because you have a belief that there's more than enough oxygen to go around, and you've been conditioned to believe there's not enough money to go around. That's the vibration you've been stuck in. You look at your check, you look at your bank account, your bills, and you feel like there's not enough. But you go outside and the wind blows and you breathe all day, not even thinking about it, you know there's enough. And so when we are in, we know that we're in an abundant universe, okay? Money is abundant just like oxygen is abundant. There's an abundance of stars in the sky, blades of grass in the yard. You can't even count them. You'd be like, no, I'm not even gonna try. I don't even know what to do with all those blades of grass, right? Leaves on the trees, hair on your head. You could not sit and count every single strand on your head. You have more than what you know what to do with in this universe, in this world. You have so many days ahead of you. You don't even know what to do with all the time on your hands. So you'll just waste a whole day doing nothing, laying on the couch, watching your show, scrolling your phone, right? Because you believe that there's an abundance of time. You're like, I don't even know what to do all this time, so I'm just gonna chill and you know, waste today because I know I can always get it done tomorrow. And yeah, people will argue tomorrow's not promised, but deep down we know we have more time and it can always get done next week. We'll always start that thing next week because we feel an abundance of time. You are abundant in so many areas. So focus on the things that make you realize, wow, yeah, I am abundant, because that's all you need to feel. Just sit in the emotion, sit in the feeling of abundance. That's all you have to do. You don't have to think about the thing you want to manifest more of. You don't have to think about why you can convince yourself money is abundant. Don't even think about that at all. It may, if it makes you feel abundant, it will shift your vibration to abundance. And so you are building future experiences that make you feel abundant again. You're a magnet. Your emotions magnet magnetize that emotion again. I hope you like this episode. Start practicing with it. Whenever you think a thought that makes you feel the emotion that you want to experience more of, completely wait. If you feel you get what I'm saying. If you feel an emotion you don't want to experience, then remove your focus from that thought. Immediately think about something that does make you feel an emotion you want to experience again. Just remove your focus from negative feelings in general. Negative thoughts, because thoughts create the emotion. That is the secret to manifesting more experiences that make you feel good. You just think thoughts that make you feel good. The house will make you feel good, so just feel good. The car that you want will make you feel good, so just look for reasons to feel good. The job that you want will make you feel good, the relationships you want will make you feel good. You just have to think about things that make you feel good right now. Good will attract more good. Feeling good attracts more experiences of feeling good. I used to drive around my car and I would blast music with the windows down. I still do this, but I remember these past experiences and where I was just like, gosh, I feel so good. I'm just alive, I'm, you know, man, I know I can manifest my reality. And I was broke and I was heartbroken, and I was in a very different place in my life. And yet I just decided to feel good. Driving around with music made me feel good. And so that it's really that simple. You stay in a place and in a thought that makes you feel good. Your future has no reason but to bring anything else to you. It can only bring things that make you feel good because that's your vibration, that's what you're attracting.
