Faith and fear have more in common than you think. In this episode, I share with you the perspective shift you need to believe your dream life is possible.
Hello and welcome back to the Beauty and Positivity Podcast. Oh my gosh, I have tried recording this three times. I don't know if this episode is about to change your life or what because this something does not want me to get this out to you. Okay, so today's episode is short and sweet. I have 30 minutes until my next client, and I was sitting outside by the fire and I was feeling inspired and I needed to share this immediately. And something kept coming up, interrupting me, and I had to keep starting over. So, okay, this perspective can absolutely float you through the rest of your life. Any challenge you come face to face with, this perspective will shift everything for you. So a lot of times when we are going after our dream life, you're trying to build your dream life, something you're proud of, something that fulfills you, brings you joy, love, and a feeling of success, true fulfillment, right? A lot of times it requires you to have unwavering certainty and faith that it will fruition. A lot of times it requires you to take inspired action and believe in yourself and have faith that that action is actually doing something. A lot of times it asks you to sacrifice something that you enjoy, going out with your friends, binging Netflix shows, scrolling your phone in order to put more time into the bigger picture, the outcome you want, the life you're striving for, right? A lot of times we have to take the time we spend doom scrolling and actually put that time towards our dream life and building something. So many of us struggle with our certainty. That's the action and the sacrificing the time and the fun things that it's actually doing something. We struggle to have faith that it's all working out and that it's all for something. We struggle to believe that the end goal is coming to fruition, that our ideas and products and services are gonna be successful and that people actually want it. We struggle with faith that it's even possible to have the life we want, right? It's like if you feel like you're someone who thinks, oh, I'm never gonna drive that car, I'm never gonna have that house, I never get to fly in first class. It's like you don't believe that life that you desire is even possible for someone like you. Faith and fear have a lot more in common than you think. When you have fear about going for the life that you desire, taking the jump, taking the risk, leaving the job, investing the money into that thing, sacrificing all the fun things you enjoy. And you fear the fear that you feel, the fear that comes up of what if this doesn't work, it's probably not going to work, what if I spend all this money and it doesn't even fucking work, right? I have been in that position. I was definitely afraid of investing money into something and it flopping, but it didn't because that's what you do when you skip over fear. So let's get into it. The fear is asking you to see something that's not even there. The fear is telling you to feel that something is real when it hasn't even happened yet. Faith and certainty are asking you to see something that hasn't even happened yet. Faith and certainty are asking you to believe it will work out when it hasn't even worked out yet. Faith and fear are both asking you to see something you can't even see, something that's not even happened yet. They are both asking you to see an outcome that's not fucking real. And I want you to remember this the next time you doubt yourself because fearing that it will fail and having certainty that it will work and be successful are the same stick. You get to decide which side of the stick you invest your energy in, which side of the stick you spend your time focusing on, overthinking about, spending your money on. A lot of you are familiar with my story now. So I decided to leave the cosmetic medical spa industry after years of being by the doctor's side, right hand assistant in surgery, in cosmetic treatments, and eventually worked my way up to a manager position, my dream job. Okay. Except when I was offered the manager position, everything felt wrong. It felt off, it wasn't working out. I mean, just in times of like a timely manner. I was doing all the manager things and suddenly I felt like I was working my life away. My hours and hours and hours were going to work. And I was just working all that time for someone else's dream and business to be successful. And I loved my time in the industry while I was there, but I hit a point where that chapter was just done. The chapter was closing. It was time to move on. And of course, I had fear going after my own business. I own multiple businesses now, but the first business, opening a salon on my own in my home. I moved to a brand new state. I was only here for literally a handful of months, not even a year. Okay, barely half a year. I had no clients, no space to work out of, and no money because I quit my job. I just moved across the country. Money was running on E, girl. Everything was pointing to, you will fail. This is not going to be successful. None of your ducks are in a row. You have no money, no space, no clients. Absolutely not. Do not leave this manager job. You got a promotion, you got a raise. You're safe, you're stable. But something very, very small in me, small, was screaming. It's time to take the step. If you don't do it now, you never will. You will forever stay comfortable in this industry. And I decided to listen to the tiny voice. Tiny but confident voice. Instead of listening to the loud, repetitive voice, to be fearful, to be afraid of failure, of why it was not the right time. And I do want to normalize, I was still scared. Just because I decided to quit my job and go for it full time, my 100% all, doesn't mean all of a sudden I was like, oh, I made the right decision. I feel amazing. I was scared every single day that I woke up. I was meditating so much because I was coping. I was like, eh, did I make the right decision? Did I make a mistake? Should I go back and ask for my job back and apologize? I was scared every single day. Okay, and I kept going. That's all you have to do. You just keep going through the fear. You keep going scared. You keep going when you're broke. You keep going as your clients are building. You keep going as your space is coming together. It all works itself out. My favorite quote, other than the net will appear or jump in the net will appear. That's my favorite quote. But my second favorite quote is bite off more than you can chew and then figure out how the fuck to chew it. Okay. Every situation is different. Every some people have kids, some people don't. Some people have a partner, some don't, some have family, some don't, some have a savings, some don't. So only you know what's right for you. Only you know what your tiny little voice is screaming for you to finally do. All I can say is when you finally listen to the little voice, the true you who knows what they want, when you go for it, the rewards come rushing in. You just have to stick to it. Do not give up too early. Go listen to my previous episodes, and I talk about how most people fail because they give up too early. Not because what they were doing was wrong. Because if you let that fear show you something that's not even real and you choose to believe it, that's when you give up too early. You have to have the same feeling with faith and certainty that it's going to work out. Let faith show you something that hasn't even happened yet and let that feel real. I'm sending you so much love and success. I hope you're feeling inspired to take control of your life this week, your happiness, because you deserve it. You are worthy of everything you want simply because you are alive on earth right now. So make the most of your time while you're here. If you want to go even deeper into changing your life and changing your identity exactly how I did when I took the leap, you can learn all the practices, all the perspective shifts, everything that I did, everything that I used to make my dream life come true. All that information rewired my brain, and so I'm sharing it with you. I will see you in the next episode. I love you so much. Bye.
