The law of assumption is something you’ve been doing all along. You just didn’t know it.  This episode helps you choose your future experiences by assuming it’s already set in stone.

Hello, gorgeous souls. Welcome back to the Beauty and Positivity Podcast. My name is Alyssa Skinner. Today's episode is gonna be about one thing, and that is the law of assumption. So that's a universal law, the law of assumption. And you've obviously heard ask and you shall receive. Ask and it is given, or maybe you've heard the universe only says yes. And you're like, I'm looking at my life, doesn't really feel like it. When exactly will it be given? I've been, you know, asking for this monthly income for quite some time, or I've been single for quite some time. I do the meditations and journaling and I practice living as if don't really know what else to do, right? So on that note, I do want to say I did not give up on manifesting my dream monthly income for five whole years. Okay, so you cannot give up. You cannot just decide it's not gonna work. Okay, that's you assuming it's not gonna work. We're gonna get into it, the law of assumption. But for five whole journals, I buy a journal at the beginning of each year, fresh new energy, fresh start. I'm a new person, new identity, new dreams, new goals. Um, and for five of them, five journals, five years, I was manifesting my dream income. I was writing, I make this much. I'm so glad I finally did it. I finally make this much. I'm writing in big, big letters, you know, I fucking did it for five years, okay? Just pretending. During that whole time, I'm going back and forth, assuming, I'm assuming that as I'm journaling, you know, I'm feeling really good. Like the universe is gonna bring it. I'm assuming it's gonna happen, I can feel it, and then I go to sleep, I wake up, I forget everything. And I go to work, I make the same amount, I expect the same amount on my paycheck for those last two weeks. So that was the key. I expect the same amount on my paycheck for those two weeks, right? Because why would it change? I work the same, same job, same hours, same paycheck. It's assuming, and I know it doesn't make sense, but it doesn't have to make sense because you are a co-creator and you are co-creating. So the universe or God is the magic, not necessarily we're not the vehicle for how it arrives. So today we're gonna talk about how you are assuming the future and how you can start to assume the future into what you want, what you desire, and you can assume it's going to be exactly what you want. So, in one of my previous episodes, I think it was the last one, the last two episodes ago, but I told you to go watch The Secret. It's a movie, it's beautifully just it's a great introductory video. And they give you these small little games to play with yourself in the universe and kind of like learn your power, find evidence for your brain to actually believe like this is real, this is possible. So, in The Secret, one of the games is like the parking spot game. Me and my best friend always call it that, the parking spot game. So after watching the movie, I started playing the game. I would be driving home from work, and there was this one hill that I had to go over after, you know, that meant I was almost home at that single spot every single day, same route. I would lose service right there, you know, every day. So I'm playing this little game and I'm like, okay, I'm gonna go over that hill at 753. Now, this is not the parking spot game, but it's very similar, and I'll explain both. So I'm just playing a little game. I'm like, hmm, okay, I'm gonna go over that hill at 7.53 p.m. Don't know why I was out that late after work. Probably went out with coworkers, you know. I was like in my early 20s. So I was listening to music, jamming out, totally forgot. I, you know, was trying to manifest that. Manifest, you know, going over the hill at 7.53. I'm listening to music and I just randomly look at the clock and it says the number 753. And I'm like, it clicked. I'm like, oh my gosh, I forgot I said I was gonna do that. That it happened. That's crazy. And then I just turned up the music even louder and I was vibing because I felt powerful. I was like, oh my gosh, this is so fun. I manifested something. And when you're just getting into learning how to manifest, learning how to co-create with God, it's like it feels small, but it's magical. And it's in all of us. It's exciting no matter how small it is. We're just like, wow, I did it. And you gain evidence of like, wait, I can actually do this. What else can I do this with? So the next day I'm driving home from work, I'm going to the gym, and there's a front row parking spot right by the gym entrance. So this is the parking spot game. And I'm like, okay, I want that spot today. It's always freaking taken. I want it. And now I will say, when you begin, you don't have full faith yet because you're kind of like, it's probably not gonna happen, but I wish it will. I really want to be a manifester. That's kind of the energy you're in when you begin. At least I was. So there's a relative amount of detachment. So you're like, yeah, I'm gonna get that parking spot today, but you're also detached from it actually happening because you're like, I don't know if it's gonna work. That's a good thing. So you are embodying neutrality. Now I'll go deeper on this in another episode if you want me to explain how to embody detachment. But of course, I'm like, okay, I want this parking spot. I pull in. As I'm pulling up to it, someone is backing out of it. I'm not even kidding. It was the perfect time for Alyssa to pull in. And I'm like, these moments are crazy and they're exciting, even small things like that, because you're like, okay, wow, this is real. I mean, I can't deny it anymore. So the law of assumption was created by, oh gosh, what is his name? Never guarded, something like that. I'm so sorry, I butchered it. But basically, the law of assumption means that whatever you genuinely assume will happen, you're embodying it, you're you believe it to be true about yourself or true about your life, you manifest it as your physical reality, your life, your experience. So, for example, I used to assume that I was always just going to live a regular middle class life. There is nothing wrong with that. That is a life of luxury, but it was a limitation because I was like, wait, why am I limiting myself? Is that what I want, or is that what I assume is gonna happen? Because, you know, my family lived a regular middle class life. You know, we we had vacations. I wore very nice brand clothing and jewelry. We drove regular, nice cars, it was a very privileged life, but it was like the common life, I don't know. You know what I'm saying. And so there was always someone at school with more, you know, especially in California. There was always a kid in high school who drove a nicer car than the one my parents bought me. And my parents bought me a car. Hello, that is that is absolute luxury, but no matter the level of luxury, it's what we assume we can have. And we assume, oh, only other people, you know, can drive the nicer car, or only other people um have the bigger house with the bigger pool, and you know, it's like we just assume that we're different, only other people have that. So I realized, you know, okay, if I buy a home in California, I'm looking at homes at in this price range, and it's like maybe three bedrooms, you know, maybe four. The fourth bedroom bedroom is a luxury. So I'm looking at homes in a certain city that's like a little bit more affordable, and I'm like, wait, what am I doing? Is this what I want or is this what I believe is possible? It's assuming, it's assuming the future. So I'm like, you know, there are families who live in these two million dollar homes on the beach in San Diego, and they have it, but I don't make two million dollars, so they only they can have it. It's like we do this little mental gymnastics back and forth with ourselves. So it hit me, and I'm like, I know this shit. I know what I'm talking about. Why am I limiting myself? You know, no one told me I couldn't live in that house. I said that. I said I couldn't. Someone's kid right now is growing up in that two million dollar house with six bedrooms and six bathrooms, and they walk outside and they're on the beach already. That's just their norm. That they are normal people like me and you with a story, with a past, with lessons, hard lessons they had to go through. Everyone has their own life struggles and they go through their own loss, their own joy, their own barbecues and family get-togethers, and they have people they love and care about in their life, just like me and you. They are literally just people. And somehow we assume, well, they can have those things, but I can't, because I come from, you know, this background and that background. It's like we use the law of assumption not to our power, not to our biggest ability, I guess you could say. So that's what I want to do. I want this episode to encourage you to play with reality more. Like, I'm gonna do it with you. Just because I have a podcast and I teach this stuff doesn't mean I've like entered this destination of I never have to grow or expand or manifest again. I do these practices all the time. I'm always expanding. And I have my dream life right now. That's why I teach this because I'm like, this all happened for me. Every single thing on my vision board has come to fruition. I have everything I wanted five years ago. My confidence has risen, finances have risen, um, everything on my vision board has come in my life. I could go buy my dream car right now. And the reason I haven't is because I kind of learned a lesson. I saw the amount in my name of money. I was like, I have the money to go buy this dream car. And then suddenly I was like, hmm, I don't think it was the car I really wanted. Not yet, at least. I don't need this big car for what me, you know, by myself. I work from home. It's just gonna look pretty in the driveway. That's that's kind of a limiting belief. You should have whatever you want for the hell of it, just because you are here and it sounds fun. You don't need a reason. But I still learned a lesson and I was like, you know, knowing I could go buy it right now was enough for me. And sometimes that's all you need. You just need to believe that you're worthy of it and you can have it if you want to have it. Okay, let's get into it. So, number one, identify your desire very clearly, exactly what you want. What do you want to experience? What do you want to achieve? What do you want to have? Who do you want to be? What do you want to look like? How do you want to come off to people? How do you want to feel about yourself and what do you want to believe about yourself to be true in your life? So, to live in a state where it's already done is the law of assumption. So I talk about this all the time. Embody the identity of who already has it, your future self. What is she doing? What does she think about herself? If you look in the mirror right now and you don't love what you see quite yet, pretend like you do. Put a smile on and throw your hands up your body, just slowly up through your hair. Seriously, like get into it and just love yourself, accept yourself. And just feel what it feels like to love yourself and your body. And even if you are pretending, because the second time you pretend, you're gonna believe it just a tiny bit more. And then the third time you do it, you're gonna be like, okay, this is kind of just a routine now. And then the fourth time you do it, you're gonna be like, this is feeling normal. Yeah, I can feel it. You get where I'm going. It's just gonna become your new normal where you do love yourself. You do love what you see. If you want a certain amount of money, then walk as that person with that much money in their bank account, in their name. Literally walk through the world. Just feel like I'm rich as hell right now. Everyone can feel it. I can feel people looking at me. They can just feel my aura is just wealth. I radiate wealth. Have a little a little fun, like just be confident. There is nothing negative about feeling confident and feeling seen and just like feel your aura. You are shining, you are glowing, you are literally glowing wealth. Just embody what it feels like to do that. Again, as you pretend, it's going to be your new baseline. Right now, you have a baseline of what you've been doing for years and years and believing about yourself for years and years. And so it's gonna take a little bit for your new norm to change, but you will change. We have a baseline, we all have a baseline that we created. That's a good thing. That means you can change it. You're the creator. So I have absolutely seen wealthy people be the nicest people I've ever met. And so I want you to go listen to my money, all about money episodes to kind of reframe your beliefs around money because it's difficult to embody wealth when you see money as a bad thing, or you see money as something that's gonna change you negatively, or you see money as unsafe because people are gonna be asking you for money all the time. It can't feel unsafe for your nervous system to have it, and that's anything you want: looking good, feeling good, having things, having love, having your soulmate. So just practice that new baseline. Number three, use your imagination. Uh, number two was embodying it. Number three, use your imagination. So we talk about visualization all the time, and I teach the details in when to visualize, how to visualize in my Enlightened Babe Academy. But right now, you can just visualize yourself walking through the world, walking through your your life as the version of you who's achieved it. You are literally invincible, you've achieved such a high state of love and joy, and just feel the version of you in your imagination. Like you can do this in bed actually. So at nighttime, you're laying in bed in the dark, there is no outside distractions, finally. So you can actually lay there and imagine whatever you want with nothing outside of you interrupting you. So that's a really good time to visualize. But um, for your affirmations, so kind of plays into visualizing, it's it's just embodying the identity. These are all kind of uh secondary to that. So I want to say, do your affirmations in the mirror because this actually helps your brain relate to you differently. You're looking at yourself in the mirror, saying these affirmations, and your brain is seeing you say it, say you are a millionaire. Wait, you believe this about yourself? Your brain starts to relate to you differently. And the mirror kind of separates yourself from yourself, if that makes sense. There's like two of you temporarily, you're having a conversation with yourself. I know this sounds silly, but just hear me out. So if you ask me, mirrors are not being used to the capacity we should be using them because you can literally reprogram your beliefs about yourself with a mirror, especially affirmations. Um, one of my previous episodes, I say to go back and forth with you and I. So when I talk to myself in the mirror, I can't, I like them the same. I like to say, I make this much money, I love my body, and then other times I go you because it's like the second person sitting in front of you, aka you in the mirror, is saying you, and then you're feeling it like you achieved it, you have your soulmate, you have your dream job, you have your dream income. And then it's like you're receiving it, like someone's telling you that you did it, and sometimes that helps too, but use whatever one you like. I like to go back and forth. Okay, I have two more numbers for you, five and six. We're gonna go um up to six, I think it is, but uh the affirmations, but past tense. So that's the next one. It's like, I remember when I remember when I used to struggle with money. I remember when I used to need other people's validation to feel worthy or to feel loved or to feel seen. I'm so glad I healed that within myself. I'm so grateful that I'm here now with this amount of money and I did it. I remember those hard nights and I did it. I remember when I used to think I could only live in a three-bedroom house, and here I am in my six-bedroom house on the beach. Seriously though, my previous episodes, I say to just try the difference, or yeah, to just try. Because the difference between a successful person and someone who did not succeed at their dream life is trying. One person assumed, oh, that's only for other people, or that's not realistic for me. And the other person assumed, well, if I try, I mean, it's possible, I at least up my chances if I try, right? Zero percent chance if I don't try. And it's just assuming and detaching from the outcome and flowing through life, trusting the universe will deliver. So ask yourself these few questions. What are you assuming your day is going to look like? What are you assuming your monthly finances are gonna be this month? What are you assuming your body is going to look like in three months, in six months, next year? What are you assuming your partner's gonna say to you today or how they're gonna treat you today? And number four, ignore, or not number four, when I'm I'm on six, ignore everything that proves it's not working, meaning ignore any evidence contradicting that your desires are fruitioning. You can listen to my last episode on this when your manifestations aren't working. I think it's that's the last episode. And I go into the details of how to ignore what the universe is showing you, especially if it contradicts that your dream life is happening. Because if you get a flat tire, I just want you to look at it and be like, oh shit, I just timeline jumped. Anything that happens, I I kind of did another episode on this too, the 10-day challenge episode. And it's just like, okay, anything that happens to you for 10 straight days is showing you that you just entered the timeline of all your success. So I'm not kidding. I want you to look at whatever's happening to you, good or bad, because nothing has meaning until we apply meaning to it. Seriously, the reason that's true, nothing has meaning until we apply meaning to it, is because let's say you get a flat tire and you could see your future. Let's say you could look at your future timeline, um, all your your upcoming events for the day, and you see, oh, I'm gonna get a flat tire at noon, damn, like, and then you see at one o'clock or two o'clock that oh, um, something worse was ahead. And so I get to skip that because I got this flat tire. I know that's so cheesy, but like let's say you get the flat tire, and then this, you know, person pulls over to help you, and they're just like super hot and they ask you on a date, and then you get married, and what do you know? They're rich too, and they have this six-bedroom beach house, and now you get to move into it. I'm being silly, but seriously, you get the point, hopefully. If you could see your future experiences following the flat tire, suddenly that flat tire would be a positive. But you saw the flat tire as negative because you assumed you were now entering this like shitty experience for the rest of your day. So it's only bad if you assume it's bad. If you look at it and say, Oh, hell yeah, I got a flat tire. Okay, this is evidence that I am on my successful timeline. I'm on a new timeline now. And that's what I mean when I say be delusional, because being delusional is like trendy on social media right now, but I don't know if people actually get the meaning under it because it's not lying to yourself, it's deciding, it's assuming, right? So let's move on. Neville got guarded, I think that's his name, who came up with the law of assumption. He says that feeling is the secret to basically manifesting. So this ties into visualization, this ties into embody the version of you who has it. Because when you feel the emotion, your emotion determines what your thoughts and imagery are in your head, and vice versa. Your thoughts and whatever you're thinking determines what emotion you feel in your body. So vice versa. If A plus B equals B plus A, it's the same thing. Your thoughts determine your emotions, and your emotions determine your thoughts. So when you realize that, it's kind of predetermining your future experiences. So when you are thinking this emotion of, oh, I just got this flat tire, dang it, you are now. The vibration of this day is gonna be kind of bad. What's gonna happen next? You know, and that's how we start snowballing in the morning of like, well, now I'm hitting traffic, and now I'm late for work, and now my things I need to turn in at work are gonna be late because my flat tire it only happens that way if you assume the flat tire is bad. So assume whatever lifestyle you want is happening now. Every single thing that happens and feel good. And of course, that will take practice, but just decide simply because you are here living on earth, you get to live the life where you meet your soulmate and you get your dream body and you get the money that you want to make in the house, in the car, in the family, and the travel. I mean, have you ever assumed your life here, the life you're living right now, is gonna have all those things? Probably not. And that ties into try, just try. Just trying actually ups your chances of getting all of that. So just try to assume, huh? Yeah, I guess I do get to live my dream life while I'm here. Never really thought about it. Kind of thought I wasn't gonna get it, to be honest. But yeah, I think I I'm gonna live my dream life in this life. This lifetime is gonna all the things I want are coming to me now. Okay, I drank a lot of coffee. I am all over the place. But you get to assume your life, your experiences one by one. So if we honestly sat down and took the time to realize how powerful we are, we would be assuming much different thoughts and experiences. Suddenly, we would be very careful with what thoughts we let take up our time. So I want you to decide that this life you're living, you get to have it all. There is no pie in the sky, you get to have a whole pie, I get to have a whole pie. You can have five pies. There's an abundance of stars, there is an abundance of galaxies, there's an abundance of sunshine shining eternally. You are that eternal universe. You are literally made up of pure infinite potential. Assume whatever the F you want. Assume that is yours. Assume it's coming. Every single thing that happens, you're late to work and your boss is upset. You go, I just timeline jumped. I'm not kidding. It's going to be your new normal. That is going to be your new baseline. You are going to be a master assumer, a master manifester because you're constantly assuming everything's working out for you. Everything's working out for me. Everything's working out for you always. Nothing, it's only has the meaning you apply to it. And that's how you timeline shift. That's how you use your little flat tire moment to quantum leap into the reality that you want. That little flat tire just brought you to this dream life. So apply that to everything in your life. Apply to every good experience and start affirming it under your breath all day, every day. Oh, that just pivoted me into my dream life. Oh, I'm buying groceries. Nice. This is evidence. I'm on my dream timeline. Every little thing. You take a sip of water, you're like, nice. I just drank abundance. I don't know. I just thought of that one. I am sending you so much love and success. I hope you enjoyed my little chaotic episode today. I really hope it made sense to you. And let me know what you thought in the comments. I love you so much. Bye.
