Feminine and Masculine Energies

Hello, gorgeous souls, and welcome back to the Beauty and Positivity Podcast. My name is Alyssa Skinner. I did a question box the other day on my story, and someone asked me to do an episode on feminine energy. So naturally, I took it a step further, and we're gonna talk about feminine and masculine energy, how you can use it when you're manifesting, how you embody one or the other, or both at the same time. So, feminine energy is usually the energy of just being, literally, just be, exist, because that puts you in the state of receiving. You are a completely open portal to receiving everything that you're attracting. Your feminine energy is also your intuition because we all have a deep knowing. Your intuition is what guides you, it's what your soul knows to be true already. And the feminine energy is also how we choose the direction we are headed because we know what we are aligned with, and that's kind of where we start with manifesting. It's kind of what we start attracting to us is through that feminine energy. Whereas the masculine is more the action, the doing, the energy of doing, taking action, and feminine is being and receiving after taking action or even before. You can definitely step into your feminine before the masculine, and I'll give a few examples at the end. So you can see by now both feminine and masculine energy are completely and equally necessary to deliberately create your life. You must embody the two intertwiningly, man or woman. So I say that because a lot of people think feminine is female and masculine is male. I personally just don't believe that. I believe it's an energy, it's an opposite of energy. So, like the yin and yang. So you can step into your masculine energy when you feel inspired action. You can also step into your feminine energy when you feel inspired action. So inspired action is literally the feminine mixed with the masculine. Because you can gain the inspiration of what you're supposed to do, right? That direction, that guide, that inner guide. And then be guided to the action you're meant to take. The masculine. You are doing both when you are taking inspired action. Because you gain the inspiration through your feminine energy and you take the action through your masculine energy. This is why grinding, hustling, etc., only serves us so far. Because it's very easy to get stuck in that masculine energy alone, to where you're not embodying feminine energy whatsoever, which is the receiving portion. Guys, I was that person. All I did was work, work, work, do, do, do. And I was not receiving because I was not open to receiving. That reflect on that if that's something you relate to or resonate with. If you feel like you're doing all the work, you're taking all the action, and nothing is working. You might have to step into your feminine energy of receiving. Now, I will help you with that in this episode. There is not a button, obviously, that you can push to be like, okay, is my body in feminine energy? Am I receiving right now? Or is that closed? Obviously, that is something we have to practice. That is something we have to embody to learn and feel. And then we eventually learn our body and we know what we are in in that moment. So there are practices in place intentionally to embody one or the other energy. And when I need to step into my feminine energy, I affirm to myself I am open to receiving all the surprises the universe has for me today. I say that a lot, almost daily. When I'm in my masculine, I'm choosing what I want. I want to make $10,000 a month, so I'm going to first take inspired action, whatever action I feel called to take next, which would be doing the math. Okay, how many clients do I have to see? How much do I charge per client? How many days a week do I have to work? If you've been following me, I you probably know the story. I've shared this. When I did the math on how I could make 10K months going from like four to five K months, I wanted to literally double my income. Of course, I was like, I don't know how that's gonna happen, but that's what I want. That's what I want to manifest. The math on the paper said it was impossible because I'm a one-person business, which means I trade time for money. There was it was physically impossible, logically, mathematically impossible for one person to make that income in the business I was doing without charging someone like $700 per service, which I was not gonna do. I was not up for that. I did not feel aligned with that in that moment, and I still don't. Maybe one day I would love to find that worthiness. So the math said it was impossible, and I said, Well, fuck that. I want $10,000 a month. I am open to all ways that can come to me. That is the feminine energy. I am open to all ways that that can come to me. The masculine would have said, I'm gonna get it through X, Y, and Z. But that's kind of swimming against the current. Feminine is flow, it is floating and letting the current take you. So the masculine energy was the F that part. I want what I want. The feminine energy was I'm open to receiving it. Thank you so much. Can't wait to see where that comes from. It's the trust, it's the faith, it's the just being. There was no action needed. So I left it up to the universe to make it happen. I went straight into my feminine energy and I said, Can't wait for that to come. It's kind of like the strong mother in your life who is like, you're not going outside to play until you finish your homework. That's that. There's obviously motherly love there, there's guidance there, but there's strength. A lot of people think feminine energy is weakness or you know it's fragile. I just don't see it that way. So, how we apply this to manifestation is you decide what you want. Be so unapologetic, I would even argue. Guilt-free, you are not greedy, you are not selfish. Find that motherly strength within you. You're getting what you want, and that is that. Be a brat. We call it a brat. I don't think it's a brat. It's strength, it's declaring energy. This is inviting the masculine at the same time because that masculine can have that stubbornness sometimes. And so this can be a good thing to bring your manifestation into your reality. Our feminine energy is also our creativity, and it's resting. It's it sounds like maybe it's lazy, maybe it's not doing anything. How can I get my dreams if I don't do anything? There's a balance. You must do both. You must take whatever action feels right in that moment, and then chill. Let it come to you. Rest. Receive. If you are not resting, there is no time to receive. There is no room in your life to bring in something new. If you are constantly go, go, go, there's no room for something to come in. You have booked up your whole energy schedule. So my way of resting is meditation. I don't literally rest very often. My big comfy couch. I know. I barely enjoy it. I make myself sad sometimes. But I'm working on that. However, when I am meditating, I am meditating on nothing. So this could be another episode, but meditation takes practice, I want to say. You are not different. It is not harder for you than it is for someone else. That's such a common phrase. And if we're all saying it, that means it's hard for all of us, okay? So I want you to know I've been there. I had to do a ton of guided meditations on YouTube, which are free, to learn how to meditate, to learn how to control my thoughts, how to let them come in and let them flow out. And you go right back to your meditation. It's normal. We all have a busy mind. It takes practice. And what I meditate on is nothing. The darkness behind my eyelids. This allows me personally to become open and receptive because I am simply a portal to receiving. I am not thinking anything, I am not guiding my thoughts, I'm not controlling anything. I am just open to whatever downloads come to me, which means I'm open to the flow. I'm open to the connection between me and source energy. I'm not asking for anything, I am simply being. And sometimes I have a mantra receive, receiving, receive, because I'm just receiving energy, and that's it. That means I'm just receiving whatever God wants me to receive in that moment. I'm receiving ideas, creativity, love, peace, you know, whatever it is, rest, whatever comes to me in that moment. The masculine energy comes from executing. Whatever action you feel will get you from point A to point B. That is stepping into the masculine. Both are important. The masculine would be me scheduling out time to meditate, right? Versus the meditating itself is receiving. I guess meditating is still taking the action, but the energy I go into meditating is the feminine. You could look at it all different ways. Masculine energy is also our logic, is our reasoning, our analytical mind, our structure, our boundaries. My salon business is straight up feminine energy, right? At least what we deem as feminine energy, but it really is all about receiving. My clients are receiving. I am receiving. There's an energy exchange, there's a payment involved. But there's also a masculine part because I have to run the business, I have to hold up the policies, I have to schedule the clients and schedule the services, I have to execute the services, and then there's an energy exchange, which is the service for the money. Masculine and feminine, feminine energy intertwining into one. Because it is both giving and receiving. Each person is giving, each person is receiving. It's a perfect balance, it is perfect harmony. This is why if my services are not in someone's price range, that's okay. It's just not the balance, it's not the exchange at the moment. They will go to someone who they feel whatever service they're getting is a balanced energy exchange for them. It's not offensive, it's completely neutral. It is what it is. So when you are manifesting whatever it is you want in life or that you want to experience, don't just take the action of journaling, working the hours, reading the books, listening to the podcasts, taking the courses. Actually lay in bed at night or in the morning or book a moment out of your day and go into receiving. Imagine that connection, that flow of light is connected to you all the way up to God, all the way up to the universe, source energy, whatever you prefer. I love all the words, it all means the same thing to me. Make time in your life to receive. Affirm to yourself every single morning, I'm open to all the surprises the universe has for me today. This is releasing that grip of control. This is being open, this is embodying that feminine energy. You're gonna go about your day naturally executing that masculine energy, taking action, running errands, booking things, working, and you have now set the intention of receiving amidst all of that. So make time in your life to receive. Be open to all the surprises and know that you do not have to know how everything is gonna work out. So be open to all the blessings that come to you, allow space for those things. I will say some tangible things that you can do to allow space for things to flow to you would be, of course, block out some time on your schedule, do yoga, go for a walk, take a bath, meditate, journal, read, just kind of slow that energy down. It really is simply loving yourself in that moment, resting and receiving. That can look different for each person. This allows your intuition to become louder as well. So when those ideas and that creativity is flowing in, you have finally silenced a moment out of your day for your feminine energy to thrive. It is coming through. Taking care of a household, a family, your pets, working your job. Every single day you're constantly in your masculine energy. It's necessary. This is how we survive, this is how we have structure and stability. But the feminine energy is also very strong, and people misconstrue that. We tend to think it's the pink princess lifestyle, which for me it is some days. But a lot of times I find myself even leading my husband, not in a masculine way, in a feminine way. For example, if he is stressed out, something is really big for him, and I feel it's shouldn't be that big or doesn't need to be that big. I kind of come in and I'm that piece. I take over and I make sure that he sees this can be small if we choose it to be small. Everything is taken care of. Every we are taken care of, right? That's where God comes in, is we receive. We step into that feminine energy, men too, and we receive from God. That is a feminine aspect. In a way, I become my husband's peace. I hold space for him. I'm patient, I honor whatever feelings he's feeling in that moment, but I encourage a different path. I encourage the release of stress. And you know, when our pipe burst, he was of course stressed out, thinking how much it was gonna cost immediately, what action we had to take, very much in his masculine. That's human, totally normal. I had to fight the urge to go into my masculine because I knew I needed to be in a moment of receiving if I wanted this to be fixed for me, right? So I stepped into my feminine, slowed down the moment, I said, well, hold on, we don't want to pay $30,000 to fix this, right? So let's actually step back from that thought for a second. And you know, of course I said it a little differently, but this is essentially the flow of the conversation. We had to break the pattern in, you know, that that could have snowballed really bad. You're right. Oh my gosh, our bill's gonna be this, and the $30,000 fix and an emergency plumber is gonna cost this. That will very much go into the direction we don't want if we stay in our masculine energy. Some masculine energy is necessary. We have to take some action. However, we mostly need to receive in a moment, in an undesirable moment, I should say. So I recognize not every man will receive that the way my husband received it. And he doesn't always receive it, you know. Sometimes he doesn't. It depends on our vibration. Sometimes it depends on my tone or his mood. We are all human, we're doing our best. This is one situation in our life, this is one example. But it did lead with my feminine energy, and I decided shit gets to be the way we want it to be because we receive and we are worthy of receiving whatever it is that we want. If I were in my masculine, I'd be on the same page as him, is like, yeah, I'm calling a plumber, you know. So we chose to step back from that. We paused, we let flow come in, and we let inspired action come in. When you pause, you allow the your intuition to speak, which is the correct take of action. So we ended up figuring everything out, we visualized what we wanted, and we experienced something even better than we could have imagined. I could not tell you, I never would have guessed the solution was my neighbor walking over, telling me, I'm a plumber and I have the piece you need to fix it for free. What? I mean, when you are open to surprises, angels are sent to you. That's all I have to say about that. So feminine can absolutely lead the masculine, masculine can absolutely lead the feminine. I would like to say too, I think feminine is more guiding than leading. I do think leading is a masculine energy and guiding is a feminine energy because we can guide the leader, if that makes sense. So another example I have around a household is in terms of bills, because I am so deep in my feminine, and I really only apply my masculine to my business and my goals because I do have to structure things to achieve things to an extent, right? And most of the time I am in a receiving state because I love to receive, it's fun. I give so much in my free time throughout the day, throughout my masculine, but I love to receive. We all love to receive. So I am really good at bringing in money. I'm really good at attracting, in other words, receiving. My husband delegates the money, he delegates that is leading, that is masculine. He likes to flow the money back out. That is a perfect balance in a relationship. I don't really enjoy budgeting. I used to live on my own and I had to be so deep in my masculine to survive. At least that's what I thought. I was not as spiritual as I am now. But he likes to see where the money's going, he likes to look at our bills every month. I don't. No, thank you. I like to see the number in the bank account, so that's what I bring in. I attract abundance. He flows that out, which is great because money's not meant to sit there and go stale. You want to use it. Money just brings us freedom and experiences, which is exactly what I talk about in my Money Babe Academy. All my courses are always linked to my social media bio. So if you aren't sure how you can receive more money and you want to be that feminine that attracts, um meditate on your feminine and just sit there and really allow those creative ideas to come in and ask. All you have to do is ask. Try meditating on it and ask for your purpose. Ask how you can receive more and allow the answer to flow to you. You do not have to be in your masculine and figure everything out. Allow the answer to literally be given to you. So I have the ideas and the creativity and where I should go next and how we should build. And um, this is my last example for the household. So I love to build and organize, and but more so the vision. I love to build the vision and the dream. My husband executes it. He loves physically building things and making my visions come to life. He likes to build our home. So I fill the home with love and coziness, and you know, we bring the friends and the family together. It's the masculine who's kind of organizing everything, I guess you could say. Like they will rent the tables and the chairs and mow the lawn, and this is so superficial. I know we're getting we're getting off topic. But you know what I mean by that is like the masculine kind of paves the way. The feminine is the one behind kind of like making it perfect as the road is getting paved. That's how I see it. But I would love to hear your take on feminine and masculine energy.
