SPEAKER_04

Welcome back to Divine and Most Unlikely, A Cause for the Kingdom. And we're hanging out with you. This is Sherry Conran and Nathan. Sherry and I are here to help you find healing, develop, or enhance your relationship with God, and to help instill some hope in a world that sometimes might seem a little dark, a little hopeless, maybe like it's going a direction we don't want it to. And in the process, we're gonna laugh out loud.

SPEAKER_00

Right? We're gonna laugh.

SPEAKER_04

We are gonna laugh out loud. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Laughter, laughter is really important.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. So we talked about we we talked about some really powerful stuff last time. And I'm not even sure if we quite hit the halfway point, but we found a good spot to kind of wrap up, and we're picking up with what we left off with last time. So what I just want to encourage people to do now is look, if you don't want to and you just want to listen to this podcast, you absolutely can, and I I believe you'll get something out of it. And if you have the time and you have the desire, I encourage you to go back and listen to the first one because there's a bunch of preparatory context and information that if you don't if you don't understand that stuff, this might seem like a little bit of a non sequitur, but it's absolutely not.

SPEAKER_00

Right, right. Yeah. So we're picking up where we left off last time, right?

SPEAKER_06

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And last time was a little bit about my story for his glory.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, right? Yes, it was.

SPEAKER_00

My story. You guys, we all have a story, and if we allow that story too, it can become about his glory. Because we talked a little bit about how he took my story and my experiences, especially my experience with abortion, but really my whole life experience. He's taken that, and he has been in the process most of my life of redeeming and healing, um, bringing me healing through all of those challenges that I experienced from a little girl all the way up to adolescence and young adulthood and middle adulthood and uh and whatever we want to call where I am now. We're not gonna call it old age because I'm not old.

SPEAKER_04

I pro one thing I can absolutely guarantee Sherry's not old.

SPEAKER_00

That's right, that's right. Um I might be a little younger than Nathan.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, I'm I'm pretty sure. Yeah, pretty sure you are.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, okay, good, good. I like that. All right, so we left off last time with me um talking a little bit about how Nathan became my Isaac, and that is, I think, what we're gonna title this one, how Nathan Became My Isaac. And we didn't share last time too much about the name Isaac and and all of those things. So I think that's where we're gonna start today, but I do just want to start off with a little bit of a summary where we ended last time, or one of the main one of the main points about last time that's gonna lead us into this um podcast episode is that in 2003, my sister who has who sadly passed away in 2009, she attempted suicide. Thankfully, she was unsuccessful. But when that happened, of course, it rocked our whole family. And um, I went down to Texas to be with my family and to try to help support her daughter at that time, and and lots of different things happened. But in that time, God gave me, I was a pretty, I was a fairly new Christian. I I don't remember the year that I got saved, but I was still a fairly new Christian at this time. And God gave me, um, while I was in Texas, he gave me Joel 225. And it talks about, and I'm I'm just gonna read that verse to it to the audience, Nathan. I will make up for the years, the swarms of locusts ruined your harvest, the hopping locust, the destroying locust, and the cutting locust, my great army that I sent against you. And I don't remember which version that came out of, um, which version of the Bible, but I didn't really fully understand that until it was um September of 2025. I think as I've shared on the podcast before, I became a uh credential coach with Identity Exchange, Jamie and Donna, Winship, and Nathan. I think you've watched that training literally changed my life. And when I went to the last part of that live training, we were in Atlanta for that training, and on my way to that training, so many things happened, like leading up to that training, leading up to that training in um 2007. God told me, as I said in the last podcast, that I was gonna speak, teach, maybe preach, write a book. Um 2007, I carried the seed of that word. I was literally pregnant. Talking about pregnant, I was pregnant for 18 years with that seed, and kind of, you know, kind of went in and out of that. But I I literally carried that seed and believed that word. I was given that word twice over the years and um literally carried it and believed it. And in I'm gonna say August of this last year, 2025, I gave birth to that seed. And it's hard to describe what happened with that, but I just knew that I had given birth to that, to that ministry. And then as I was preparing to go to the live portion of the Jamie and Donna winship training, um, the Lord said, You're entering into your rest season of restoration, right? And I went to that training and and the I asked the Lord to sit me beside people and to get let me meet whoever I needed to know while I was there. And he did a whole lot with that. But in that process of the restoration season beginning, he again before the conference started that day. I was I got there really early in the morning, and I think the conference started later that afternoon. I was journaling and spending time with God, and God told me crazy things, Nathan. He told me crazy things, that wild and crazy God we serve. He said that I he wanted me to become, he wanted me to open up a coaching practice, and I I think I started that process after I got home from that event, but he wanted me to open a coaching process practice, and he said that I was gonna be working with men.

SPEAKER_01

With men?

SPEAKER_00

With men.

SPEAKER_01

You don't remember you don't even I know you don't even like men.

SPEAKER_00

That that that that thing you are, that thing you are, Nathan. You know, and I said the same thing. I was like, men. What Lord? Men? You you want me to work with men? And so you guys, I believe God is in the process of pouring his glory out on the earth, and I believe that's just going to increase. And I believe a lot of people are gonna see signs, wonders, and miracles and experience that. And I think a lot of people are gonna develop a relationship with the Lord, and he said he's gonna send me those people to help them find healing, and then I'm gonna help them find their true identity, some things you and I have worked on, and send them out to do whatever God is calling them to do. So I and I just met men at that, mostly men at that conference. I met a handful of women, but mostly men. I sat next to an amazing man named Brandon, who I've stayed in contact with, and he has sent me referrals. I met another one of my spiritual sons at that conference, Paul. So, Paul, hey, how are you? You and Paul just recently connected, right?

SPEAKER_09

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

And you guys found out you're both very big patriots. Absolutely. Very big fans of the Constitution. Absolutely, yes. All the things very cool. Yep, you guys had a fun conversation that blessed this mama's heart a lot. Um, I yeah, so Paul became a spiritual son as well. Um, from a hug, you guys. That happened with a hug. He had shared some of his story. He did a coaching demo with one of the with one of Jamie and Donna's coaches. He did a coaching demo at the training, and his story was very moving to me. And the Lord told me after he got done speaking, the Lord told me to go give him a hug. And I was like, Lord, Nathan's trying not to laugh again.

SPEAKER_01

You don't understand. That's a man. I can't hug him.

SPEAKER_00

So not only have I had a love-hate relationship with men, but in my early Christian years, it was like, don't be alone with a man, don't look at a man, don't do this with a man, don't do that with a man. And uh yeah, that's gotten quite distorted and shifted in my life. But anyway, um, I was like, Lord, that's just weird. He doesn't know me, and that would just be so weird. And I didn't do it, you guys. I was disobedient the first day. So here's my confession. And then the next day, the Lord was like, when I saw Paul again, that's that's what I heard the Lord doing, and I was like, Yes, Lord, yes, Lord. And so with identity coach, um, in the training, all of us are learning our identities. So we're all going around when we talk to everybody. We're like, what's your identity? This is my identity, right? And I think as I've shared with you guys before, one of my identities that's really come to the forefront of my life that I did not expect to be at the forefront of my life. I went from a mom to mini, and I didn't even realize that was a God-given identity until someone that I didn't even know prayed over me, and they said, Oh, I see you're a mom to mini. And I was like, What? That's that's a that's a God thing? Because my friend said that to me back in 2016, 2017. My friend said, Oh, Sherry, you're a mom to many because I worked with um soldiers, military police, and basic training and in AIT training. And so the Lord at the beginning of um me going to Atlanta for this live training, the Lord said, Now you're no longer mom, a mom to many, you're mom to the nations. And I was like, All right, I don't know what that means, but all right, Lord. And so at that time, I did not have um any spiritual children. And so I go up to Paul and say, Hey, you know, one of my identities is mother to the nations, and I just want to give you a hug from a mom. And he's like, I don't think you're old enough to be my mom, but I would love a hug. And yeah, it turns out um, I think I'm a year older than him, so not old enough to be his mom, but um, so I gave him a hug and it was great, and he said thank you, and he walked away. And then he like very shortly came back to me, even even before he got too far away. He did it, he came back and he said, Um, actually, can I get your phone number? I've been wanting a spiritual mom. And I was like, Absolutely. And so he became a spiritual son in that moment. Um, and then I don't think I don't think you had been a spiritual son at that by that by that point. We were becoming more friendly because you guys, oh, I need to tell this part of the story, Nathan. Do you remember this? I sat next to the the guy I sat next to for the most of the conference. I sat down and we, you know, we're starting to chit-chat, and he was not a therapist, but he was working with a famous therapist. Working with a famous therapist, and he all of a sudden says to me, and this blew my mind because Nathan and I were starting to become friends. And if you guys have heard earlier episodes, it's like I really struggled with that in a big, big way, being his therapist, because that in the therapy world is absolutely not. Don't even think about it. No, no, no, no, no. Um, and uh so we start talking, and he tells me, you know, that he's been working with this pretty fairly famous therapist. And he said, after we finished working together, we started a business together.

SPEAKER_03

And I was like, Oh yeah, do you remember me telling you that? I absolutely do.

SPEAKER_00

And I was like, What? Wait, what did you just say? And he's like, Yeah, we started a business together. So they were doing, um, they were creating intensive weekends um for military members and first responders. And of course, my heart lit up because those are my people.

SPEAKER_06

Right. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Um, that's the world Nathan um has been in for a while. And um, and so he and I have stayed connected. But who but God, you guys, would sit me next to this guy who is friends with his therapist. Not only friends with his therapist, but they're doing business together, kind of like you and I are starting to kind of like that. Kind of like that. This I don't know if you can call a podcast a business, but I do think God has got other things like I think we're gonna be, you know, doing other things down the road together. Nathan and I have actually talked about um doing weekend intensives with military and first responders. We'll see what God does with that. But I just thought who but God would sit me beside someone who is doing that with their therapist. My mind was literally blown. And Brandon and I have stayed in touch and he sent me some people. So God really blessed me with that relationship. He blessed me with the relationship with Paul. There was another man there from Canada. He was a pastor from Canada and he prophesied over me. And he he was I I tripped, I tripped and almost fell. And someone came to me and and told me that he was poised to catch me if I fell. And thank God I didn't fall because that would have been so messy. But um anyway, I met a lot of men at that conference. So God has been doing a thing, Nathan, with you, as you say, as you say with you dudes. Yeah, God has been doing a thing. So I came back from that conference. Now, this is my version. I don't know, Nathan, if your version. I'm gonna give you in a minute, I'm gonna give you some space to get see if your version is different. Because, guys, I want to say, first of all, um I'm I'm a I'm a female.

SPEAKER_04

This is true. I can confirm. Sherry's female.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, I'm female. And Nathan, I can confirm is a dude.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, I am, right?

SPEAKER_00

Because he grunts all the time. Have you guys heard his Tim the Toolman grunt?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, usually around, you know, if the bacon comes out or weapons, you know, that kind of thing.

SPEAKER_00

So, um, okay, so God tells me I'm gonna be working with mostly men, and I'm journaling like, Lord, what is going on? And then Nathan is a client, and I think he had been a client, would you say at least three years at this point? Because this was just last September 2025.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and I think I started, I think I started seeing you December 23.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay, so I come back and I'm like, so I feel like God's giving me permission now to be friends with Nathan because the guy who sat next to me is friends and doing business with this famous, semi-famous therapist. And um, so I come back to Nathan, I'm like, Nathan, God told me I'm gonna be working with men. Will you help me understand? Will you help me understand men? Will you teach me about men? Do you remember that?

SPEAKER_05

I do remember that.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, yep. Do you remember your response?

SPEAKER_05

I don't remember my specific response. Well, what did I say?

SPEAKER_00

I don't remember your your specific response either, but you did say yes, obviously. Yeah, I was you you did say yes. And so that's what has led, that's what has led to all these hilarious conversations about me and men and him and him just teaching me about men. And as you guys heard in the last podcast, and if if you're if you didn't listen to the last podcast yet, I did not grow up with very healthy men around me. I grew up with um domestic violence, lots of alcoholism, lots of some infidelity, um, a spirit of sexual perversion over my family. So I've I've honestly, I told Nathan, I I said, you're pretty much an anomaly from my from my perspective, because you guys, as a former trauma therapist and now an abundant life coach, I haven't met very many healthy men, right? I haven't met very many healthy men. Um, and so Nathan to me is an anomaly in that way. So he um he said yes, and he's been teaching me about men and he models what a man is, I think just really well. And without doing anything, I I have told him, I don't know how many years in we were, when I told him this, because this was happening for a long time, and God did this frequently when I was a therapist. God would hold up a mirror, yeah, right? He would hold up a mirror behind my clients' heads, and when I would say something meaningful or something special or whatever to the client, the Lord would often put the mirror back on me and saying, and say to me, Sherry, do you hear what you're saying? You need that truth for you as well, right? And so somewhere along the way, I told Nathan, like, you are helping me so much.

SPEAKER_04

I actually do remember that, and that was within the first six months. And you didn't know this at the time you told me that because I didn't share this with you. But one of the things that I really struggled with uh coming into therapy, especially in that first six months, is I just felt like I came into therapy and I took and I took and I took and I took and I took and I took. And I don't mean by force, I just mean I received a lot. And that just that's to me, that's imbalance. That's not how life works. There's give and take, and when you receive something from someone, you should also be giving them something, you know, in return, and not in a transactional way, just in a human way. Like there are things that someone needs that you have, and vice versa. And again, not transactional, but just out of a genuine love and appreciation for people. So when you shared that with me, it made me feel a lot better right then because I thought, oh, okay, I don't even know what's going on, and I wasn't doing anything, I wasn't trying to do anything, but I was just thankful that at least in some way that you were you were receiving something as well.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes. And I remember that very well because I was like, Nathan, this is therapy. You're not supposed to be doing anything but receiving in therapy. I wish okay, tell me about the facial manager.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and I was like, like, that is completely ridiculous, therapy or not, we're both just people, right? You know, and and that was kind of my perspective on it that yeah, yes, yes, you're a therapist, yes, I'm a client. And also before any of that, we're just people.

SPEAKER_00

Right, right. So I okay, so I came home, asked him if he would teach me about men, he said yes. And then somewhere along the way, I guess long ways before that, I told you that you had been helping me and you were relieved with that. And then this for me, now this is my perspective. We talked about this a little bit before we started this podcast. About do do we have similar perspectives on this? And I don't think that we do, and that's okay. But for me, where Nathan, aka the boy, the boy and the couch. Oh, the couch, yes, the couch, the couch, and sherry, aka the chair, the chair, where that started to become uh a little from my perspective, messier.

SPEAKER_05

I knew that was the word you were gonna use.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, Nathan loves to tell me all the time, you guys, Sherry, life is messy. Life is messy, and I'm like, Nathan, it's not supposed to be messy for a former therapist and now life coach. But the Lord is blurring all the lines. It it is not me blurring the lines, I can assure you. I can assure you, it is not me blurring the lines, it is not Nathan blurring the lines, it is the Lord blur blurring the lines. Okay, so from my perspective, um, this is when this was way back, I think it was two years ago. And from my perspective, this is maybe when and and and if my pers well, you know, I don't think our perspectives can be wrong because they just are what they are.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, right? Yeah, yeah. They're just it's different, just different angles on the same thing.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, it's different angles. I love that. So we both experienced a mutual tragedy. It was in my community, but being in the first responder world, it greatly impacted Nathan. It was two years ago on a Sunday, and I'll just I'll never forget it. It's it's it's not as maybe I don't know, I I want to say, you know, similar to 9-11, that moment where you might not forget where you were sitting, what you were doing when you heard about it. But it was literally in my city and my community. And I was in church at the moment, at the time that we heard about it. And my pastor is connected, he's you know, friends with the mayor and friends with people and the police department and all the things, and he got an alert, or I don't know how he found out, but he announced at church that um two police officers were murdered and an EMT was he an EMT or a paramedic?

SPEAKER_04

Firefighter paramedic.

SPEAKER_00

Firefighter paramedic was also murdered. And I, Nathan, just made this connection while I was thinking about this podcast in the last podcast. They were responding to a domestic violent phone call.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, and and uh my my story revolves a little bit around domestic violence growing up with that. And I think you guys, those are some of the most dangerous responses that uh law enforcement officers, paramedics. Firefighters they get called to. Right? Yeah. Yeah. Um, so anyway, they had been murdered, and I knew I knew in my heart that it was gonna negatively impact a couple of my clients, and Nathan was one of those clients. And he came in, this happened on a Sunday in my city, and he came in on a Monday. And we're gonna change the story a little bit just to protect um some people that he knows. Um, but he came in on a Monday, was pretty distraught.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Can you can you talk to that a little bit about what it was like for you on that Monday?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Um, you know, in in communities like like you know, military public safety, it's a very small, uh tight-knit community. And there is this uh sense of we, uh, this sense that we're on the same team, the sense that even if you don't personally know an individual, you wear the same uniform, you have the same mission, you wear the same flag on your shoulder, and you're serving the same purpose, you know. And so um the the day before it's Sunday when it happened, I ended up I had a a brunch scheduled with some friends that I I know. And uh one of them, someone I I just have so much love and respect for, and we don't get to see each other as often as we would like, but I just have a very deep bond with this individual, and they sat down next to me, and this individual was uh working, works at a hospital, was working at a hospital, and um had been involved in the incident. And if you hear me being a little bit vague right now, I am not deliberately trying to be elusive. I'm trying to protect protected information and not share anything that I shouldn't. Um but this individual had a significant experience with what happened that day. I'll just put it that way. And they were relaying that to me, and uh, it was really powerful. I already, you know, my my heart already hurt over those individuals that their lives were taken from them and completely senselessly, and then to hear this individual's experience, it compounded that, and so all of that played into when I came in on Monday, and that was a pre-scheduled session, that wasn't something that I I scheduled especially, but I do think that that's another really good example of God knowing what's what's going on and God having a plan. And so came in, and yep, I was definitely emotionally distraught. I and I you know shared a lot of that with Sherry, and I just I don't remember everything that I said, but I just remember saying every time this happens, it hurts. I've been to probably somewhere between 20 and 30 public safety funerals in my in in my career, some for people I knew very well, some for people I didn't know at all, and it hurts every time, and it hurts my experience is it hurts differently than other losses. I've I've lost friends, I've lost family members, and this hurt is just different, and it sticks with you in a different way. And so I was telling Sherry about all of that, and one thing that I was sharing is thank God, in my career, I have never had to render care to someone who was on my team who had like a serious or a fatal injury because I I don't know how I don't know how anyone who has that experience who literally has the blood of your teammate who who you have it on you, I don't you're gonna carry that with you for the rest of your life, and there's just no way around that. And I remember telling Sherry that, like, yeah, I've had other people's blood on me, it's not that big of a deal. And I just remember there was one particular instance where I had a pretty good amount of someone's blood on my my nitrile glove hand, and I remember initially I wasn't really thinking anything about it, I was doing care, and then we were en route to the hospital, and for some reason I closed my fingers against my palm and I tried to reopen them, and I remember it was sticky, like the the blood on the nitrile glove, it stuck, and that I had never I don't know, I just didn't I hadn't experienced that before that that blood was sticky.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Powerful, powerful moment for you on that ride to the hospital, right? Yeah, okay, so Nathan is in session, he's telling me this story. He is telling me about his realization and experience with blood being sticky, and he he also told me um that you it's hard to get blood off of you when blood gets on you, right? As a first responder. So I'm in this very serious session trying to listen with all of my abilities to listen and hold hold compassion, hold space, all the things. And you guys, the Lord, the Lord starts talking to me very loudly, not audibly, but it might as well have been audible for how loud it was. And when Nathan is talking to me about blood being sticky and not being able to wash it off, I hear the Lord say, Yes, like you can't wash my blood off of you.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah. And I had never thought of that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, neither had I, right? And the Lord has spoken to me in sessions, you guys, but never like this, never like this. He was really loud in my in my spirit, in my mind. He was being really loud, and he was being very emphatic. And Nathan, I don't know. Do you you after you said that about blood, you said, um, I don't know if you remember this, but you said, Sherry, there's not many people willing to sacrifice their lives.

SPEAKER_03

That's right.

SPEAKER_00

Do you remember that?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, there are very few, very few people willing to sacrifice their lives, especially for people that they don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Right, right. And you've told me often as a first responder when you were actively, you're still a first responder in a different way, but when you were actively a first responder as a paramedic, that you run towards danger. Yeah. You don't run away from danger. Right. Yeah. Military runs towards danger, they don't run away. Right. Law enforcement officers running.

SPEAKER_04

That's right, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

Run towards danger, they don't run away. And so as soon as Nathan said, Sherry, there's not many people that are willing to sacrifice their life. The Lord said, Yes, like I sacrificed my life for you. And it it was a very, it was just a very the room was, I mean, the Lord's presence was there. The Lord was loud in my spirit and in my mind. And Nathan was crying.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah. I was, I was absolutely crying like there was no stopping at that day.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. No, because it was a very, very big loss. A very, it just greatly, greatly, greatly impacted um the law enforcement community in Minnesota in general. It greatly impacted our city. It was, it was very, very, very impactful. They were all very young people. They were all very young. I think two of them had young children, yeah, left behind spouses. I mean, really a heartbreaking situation. Um, and I I went to a memorial. My my church at the time was one of the churches that partnered with a bunch of other churches to put on just a memorial for the community, our city, where this happened. And it was a very moving the Lord's presence was all over this. And um, I can't explain it to you why people lost their lives, but I can tell you the Lord's presence was all over this. Um, so while Nathan's crying and I'm trying to listen to him and hold space for him, and the Lord is talking loudly to me, uh, and you guys, not only are we uh am I trained to not be friends with clients, but also trained not to cry with clients. Not to cry with clients, and I will never forget this as long as I live. Nathan has the tissue box by him, and you know, he's using the tissues, and here I am. You can't help but cry. The Lord's presence, and this young man's in my office shedding tears and and and really just struggling with the trauma. And um, so I start crying. Tell them what you did, Nathan.

SPEAKER_04

So, well, first of all, she's this is my recollection now, and it might be a little bit different, but I I recall her saying something that sounded an awful lot like an apology for crying. And so I first the first thing I did is I slid the box of Kleenex over to her, and then I said, It is about time, Sherry. I have been meaning to talk with you about this. This has felt pretty one-sided, and I'm glad that you're, you know, opening up emotionally. And she just roared, and I laughed too, and it was one of those moments where you know, we've talked about Sherry's laughter, yeah, and how it's an atmosphere shifter and how it's healing. Yeah, and I think that was one of the very first times, not the first time, but it was one of the very first times where I really experienced that fully because neither one of us was making light of what just happened.

SPEAKER_00

And yet, not at all.

SPEAKER_04

That laughter in that moment really helped lift what was a really dark, heavy, ugly thing.

SPEAKER_00

For sure, right? We were both feeling really, really heavy emotions, and the Lord's present, the Lord's spirit was so overwhelmingly present, and I was in my head the whole time going, Lord, what am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do with what you're saying to me? So after I took the tissue box and wiped my tears and we laughed, and I I said, Nathan, I I told Nathan what the Lord was saying to me. And I he doesn't remember this part, but I I really clearly remember this part. I said, Nathan, this is what the Lord is saying to me, and the Lord wants you to know that he loves you, he sees you, he knows you, and um that yeah, that he just wants you to know that he loves you. And have you ever like invited the Lord into your heart? And Nathan said no, and I said, Do you want to do that? And we prayed, you know, just a really simple prayer doing that. And um, Nathan grew up in the Catholic Church and and and participated, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But I'll and I I'll I'll share just a brief thing about my experience.

SPEAKER_00

It doesn't have to be brief, go for it.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, but I also want to say I am not saying that my experience is anyone else's or represents anything larger.

SPEAKER_00

We all have our own experiences with faith, right?

SPEAKER_04

Right. So my experience of Catholicism is it was very much about uh ritual and there, you know, you do these things at these times, and it's very uh repetitive. Like if you go to church on this day and this year, you're gonna hear this homily, and it's kind of lather, rinse, repeat. And again, this is just from my perspective. And one of the things that I don't ever remember hearing, and I went just to let people know, I went to Catholic school my entire life until I went to paramedic school. So Catholic grade school, Catholic high school, Catholic university, and the only reason I'm saying that is to say in all of that time, I don't ever remember a single person within the Catholic Church talk, let alone encourage building a personal relationship with God or with Jesus. I don't ever remember that.

SPEAKER_07

Wow.

SPEAKER_04

So no, I had never done that. And yeah, I just I hadn't I had never done that before.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But that day you said yes. Yes, right? So we prayed a simple prayer, and he can speak more along the way about what happened with his faith after that. But I I think maybe that's where I encourage you to read the book of John.

SPEAKER_04

I don't I don't remember if it was then or I don't remember if it was then, but it was soon, if not then.

SPEAKER_00

Somewhere along the way, somewhere along the way. I always recommend you guys the book of John because it's it's the book about Jesus, and it's a it's an easy-to-read book in the Bible, an easy um story to understand about why Jesus came to the earth, and he came to the earth to save us. To he was the bridge between um earth and God. He was the bridge for us, he was the lamb, the lamb, the lamb that was slain for us. And so it's very important to have a relationship with Jesus because I tell you, want to talk about men. Without Jesus being in my life, you guys, I probably would have been married five, seven times, you know. I'm not a quitter.

SPEAKER_05

That's right. My mama ain't no quitter.

SPEAKER_00

My mama ain't no quitter. Um, yes, I'm not a quitter. So without Jesus coming into my life, I have no doubt, I would probably have, I do have two children by two different men, but I probably would have had, I don't know, I don't know what it would have looked like, but it wouldn't have looked as good as it ended up, right? Looking, thankfully, without him. So anyway, I do want to take this this moment um to talk about Catholicism because just this little side note, right? Um, and my friend Angie, this is for you. Nathan was one of the people. Um, okay, so my friend Angie is a devout Catholic, and she is a former colleague from the last clinic that I worked at, and we became fast friends at that clinic, and that was back in 2018 when I started at that clinic, and she went away, I don't remember what year she went away to work on getting her um PhD in theology. She went to school a couple of different countries, and she and I have just been fast friends, and I was with her recently, and she said um to me, Sherry, Mother Mary really wants to heal your mother, your mother wounds. And and she she and I had talked because I had just watched a podcast about, and I I don't remember this artist's last name, so I'm not even gonna attempt it, but her name is Akian, and she went to heaven at the age of eight and saw Jesus and came down and um painted um the picture of Jesus, and she calls it the Prince of Peace, and it's a beautiful painting. If you haven't seen it, I would encourage you to go see it. But she also painted in that podcast that she shared a picture of Mother Mary and baby Jesus, and Mary was wrapped in a like wearing a satin silk outfit, and baby Jesus was wrapped up in part of the outfit. And Akion said that Mary's favorite color was blue.

SPEAKER_04

And Nathan, Sherry's wearing some blue today, ladies and gentlemen.

SPEAKER_00

Sherry's wearing blue, but do you know why I'm wearing blue?

SPEAKER_04

You like blue, it's your favorite color.

SPEAKER_00

It is my favorite color. So I was like, oh, Mary's favorite color is blue. So Angie and I were talking about that, and she's like, Sherry, Mother Mary wants to heal your mother wounds. And long story short, I I called Nathan, I called another good girlfriend that grew up Catholic, I called um what did my other son that grew up Catholic, and I called my therapist who grew up Catholic, um, to see just to get their input because um because Angie wanted me to meet, she wanted me to participate in um gosh, I hope I can remember what it's called. Adoration. Adoration, thank you, Nathan. She wanted me to participate in adoration, and I didn't know what that was, but it's where um it's based basically the Catholic version of praising the Lord. And um she she works with a bunch of priests because she also feels called to minister to men. And you guys, the Lord has put I think four people now that I can count that are called to be a mother to men. Four people that I can count, which is really, really cool. He's put them kind of in my life. So I called everybody, and everybody was like, Sherry, I would totally do it. I see God's hand in this. Nathan, I think you said the same thing. And I went last Wednesday, and I think I I don't have, I don't think I have the count exactly right, but there were seven or eight priests, and priests are males, they're dudes. Nathan, did you? Did you know they're dudes? Priest are dudes.

SPEAKER_04

I used to be an altar boy.

SPEAKER_00

And it uh was one of the most moving moments I think I've ever experienced in my life. Um, they prayed over me. We did some praise songs. I think we did four or five praise songs, and then they prayed over me and they prophesied over me. And I was able to tell them I've had some negative experiences with men in my life, and it meant a lot to me. Nathan, these men came together just for me, to do this just for me.

SPEAKER_01

Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Right? My friend Angie put this together, and these men came off duty on their off-duty time on a Wednesday evening to do this for me. And it, I definitely cried. Are you proud of me? I cried.

SPEAKER_04

I'm very proud. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Women, we don't have as much problem with tears as men do. But um, I cried because um, oh you guys, I didn't mean to, I didn't this is the Lord because I didn't plan on sharing this part of the story. But um, while we were doing praise and worship, I saw Jesus walk up to me and he was really smiling, and he said, I want to introduce you to my mother. And I was really sobbing at this point, and she came up to me. Mary, Mother Mary came up to me and put her hand on my heart and said, I want, I want to heal your heart. And I just felt the presence of the Holy Spirit, and um she said that I want to pour more of my love into you so that you can pour the mother love, the love of a mother, out to the nations. And it was a very, it was just a very moving experience. And um a good handful of the priests prayed over me and prophesied over me, and it was it was really just a beautiful experience. And then the Lord gave me an opportunity to pray over a couple of priests who whoever, whoever thought Sherry would have that opportunity, but I prayed over a few priests and prophesied a little bit over them, and I don't know, it was an amazing night. So, Angie, if you're listening, and I think you will be, thank you for that night. That was amazing. Um, all right, now we got really off track, so you're gonna have to help bring me back. Um, so Nathan prayed to the Lord to fight the Lord basically in his heart, read in the book of John, and for me, this was um where we became, I don't know, things shifted. God just shifted things in that moment for me. I just knew God was, I really knew God was up to something. I felt like God was up to something from the get-go because Nathan was one of the, he was one of the people in my 25 years as a licensed therapist, he was one of the handful of people that were so serious about finding healing. This boy, you guys, and I admire it, I don't think it's funny, but this boy came to therapy twice a week, I think for two years. Yeah, it was for two years, you guys. He was so hungry for healing. And if you are a therapist out there listening, or even a life coach out there listening, or even a pastor out there listening, you don't meet many people that really, really, really want to be healed. And and this, this, this dude, this boy, um, my now spiritual son really wanted to be healed. And I really enjoyed working with him because he was so hungry to be healed, and he just like devoured anything that I said to him. He fell in love with EMDR.

SPEAKER_03

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Still loves, he's still in love with EMDR. Do you want to say something about EMDR?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I I would the thing that I would say is I I didn't know anything about EMDR before we started doing it. I started learning a little bit about it after we were already in progress. And I just because I like to have a better understanding about what's going on, I would do the same thing with you know a medication or anything else. I'd I'd look it up and try to understand it. And but what I want to say is. This is one of those experiences in life where for me, I kind of generally things I know two plus two equals four, and four plus four equals eight. An EMDR is not like that, man. It's not an equation. I don't know how to tell you how it works. All I can tell you is that it is incredibly effective. And there is no way that I would be where I am now in terms of my process of healing old wounds were it not for EMDR. That has been a critical component. And for any, and I'm I'm not suggesting that it's a panacea, but for anyone else out there who's considering therapy, who's experienced your own trauma, definitely seek out a trauma therapist. And I strongly encourage you to at least try EMDR as a modality. And I would encourage you not to think of it as sort of a light switch therapy, meaning I'm gonna go in, I'm gonna do a session to be MDR, and then boom, I'm gonna be fixed. It's that's not how it works. It absolutely takes multiple sessions, and it is only as good as you are willing to be honest. So if you're not willing to be really self-effacing and share some of the deep, dark stuff that you are ashamed of and talk about that stuff, the person, the therapist that you're working with, they're not going to be able to help you identify mistake and beliefs as well. And if you can't identify mistake and beliefs as well, as good a tool as EMDR is, if you're not using it on the right wounds, those being those deeply held mistaken beliefs, it won't help as much. But I really encourage you to try it out as a tool and try it out for a while to assess whether it works for you.

SPEAKER_00

That's awesome. Good. Thank you. Can you think of a mistake and belief that stands out to you that got transformed by EMDR?

SPEAKER_04

I can I can think of about a dozen of them, but one of the first one that that stood out to me is that I'm not worthy of being loved because I am so broken inside and nothing is the way that it should be.

SPEAKER_00

Because when we go through trauma, that is one of the number one beliefs that comes out of trauma. And Nathan knows I have struggled with this belief as well. And he has ministered to me greatly. Again, sometimes without saying a word. Um, but other at other times he has said lots of words that have ministered to me. He has a little nickname. Do you know what your little do you remember your little nickname?

SPEAKER_01

Junior.

SPEAKER_00

Junior. Yeah. Often you guys I've had to tell him get out of the damn chair. Um, because he is like a sponge. Um, but um, I lost my train. Tell me where I was at. Um, not you not being loved.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You not being loved. Um, but yeah, so the I we've said this before, but I want to say it again is that trauma makes you feel like I'm unlovable. What is wrong with me? Something is wrong with me. I'm broken, I'm wounded, I'm this, I'm that. And that is the biggest lie of the enemy ever, ever, ever. You're not broken, you're not not lovable, but it's not, it's not what's wrong with you. It is what happened to you, what happened to you.

SPEAKER_01

And what have you survived?

SPEAKER_00

What have you survived? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I don't think anybody after listening to my story or Nathan, after listening to your story, they they sure wouldn't say after listening to either of our stories, like, wow, you guys are just so not lovable. You're so you're broken, you're so whatever. Right. I don't I don't think anybody would say that, do you?

SPEAKER_04

I don't think so either.

SPEAKER_00

No, no. Okay, so this session was a pivotal moment for me where I knew God was up to something. For Nathan, do you know when you knew God was up to something?

SPEAKER_04

I think I probably had a little bit of an inkling. So actually, let me back up. The first time that I knew God was up to something was something that Sherry said very early on in one of our sessions.

SPEAKER_05

Uh-oh.

SPEAKER_04

So there are two things that she said, not in these were not in the same session, but they were early on, early being within the first six months. And one of them was we were praying, and Sherry goes, I see a foot on an accelerator pedal. And that means accelerated healing. He has accelerated healing for you. And I'm like, Okay, that's that's great, that's good. And then another one was I don't, I don't remember if this was before or after, it might have been before. And she said, I just hear big plans. And that was like, I remember my eyes just my even right now, my eyes are really big.

SPEAKER_00

His eyes are like saucers, you guys.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, my eyes got really big, and that she didn't know this, but for a long time I'd had this all right. I can't believe I'm gonna say this out loud. And if this sounds bad, I'm just gonna apologize.

SPEAKER_00

It's not gonna sound bad. You guys are gonna love it.

SPEAKER_04

But for a long time I've had this feeling that there was greatness in me. And for the longest time, the internal dialogue I had with myself is you arrogant, I'm not gonna say the actual word, but you arrogant fool. That is not true. You're such a you're so arrogant. Who are you to think that you have greatness in you, that that whole kind of thing? And then Sherry said that, and it was the second confirmation, they were a couple years about, but it was the second confirmation that oh, someone else is saying this outside of you, you know. So that was the first inkling. And when I read John, the last thing I'll say about it is when I read John, it hit me completely differently than it ever has before. Part of it, I think, was my mindset and heart posture, which was truly set toward just genuine curiosity. But the more that I read and learned about the things that Jesus did and the things that he said, that was just a really powerful experience. And so I definitely knew something had shifted then.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I I love that you brought those things up because I I do remember both of those saying both of those things to you. And if if we had a live audience right now, Nathan, I can assure you the people just in the audience, just knowing you from the podcast, would hear and see that there's greatness inside of you. I can assure you.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, and my friends are gonna give me feedback because they always do, right? Yeah, um, and I can't share yet, but when it happens, I'll share. We'll share. But he has a big call on his life. He has a big call on his life. That's part of the reason God brought us together. And now we're gonna get into a little bit more. God is so good, isn't he? Good at these, he's he does these segues really good for us. Absolutely. Now we're gonna get into a little bit more of the reason why God brought Nathan to me and me to Nathan. Um, and I I do believe, let me just like re-emphasize that I do think Nathan came to me for multiple purposes. Um, definitely his faith was one of them, his healing was another one, and for God to be able to call out what's inside of him and and to get him into the blueprint that he wants him to be in. I definitely, without a doubt, know that he has already been walking in his blueprint, but oh, the things the Lord has shown me, you guys. I I can only imagine, like I will send Nathan prayers um sometimes.

SPEAKER_09

Oh yes.

SPEAKER_00

Uh some and I send all my spiritual children prayers. If my spiritual children that are listening can attest to that, but um I it's kind of a new thing for me, but in these prayers, I I prophesy, I I prophesy over my children, and some of the things the Lord has shown me and said about Nathan, holy buckets, you guys. It's it's it's it's been pretty wild. It's been a pretty wild ride, I think, for both of us. And when I pray these prayers and I send them, I'm like, oh Lord, I don't know what, I don't know how this boy's gonna respond to this, to this wildness. But you guys, the boy always responds in such beautiful ways. Um, okay, so that's that part. So when we can share more, we will share more. Um, and I don't think that's gonna be too far away, but we'll see. We'll see what God has. Um okay, so another major reason Nathan came into my life, yes, to teach me about men. But here's the major reasons that he came into my life, and he's gonna start blushing in a minute. But he is, he, God is okay, so in September, let's backtrack a little bit. In September of 2025, God said your season of restoration is starting now, and it started with the whole Jamie Winship training. It started with me getting Paul as a son, me asking Nathan to help me learn about men and all the things. And um and then along the way, and I don't think I don't think either one of us can say when or how this happened, he became a son to me. And um, as we became friends, he became a son. And I think what I haven't said yet is about four years ago, so in the last episode, I talked about having an abortion at 15 and and God restoring that, restoring that at a Sunday school, a women's Sunday school class that I attended shortly after I got saved. He took away the shame and the blame and condemnation around that abortion. And then three or four years ago, I was listening to a podcast about a woman who had had an abortion and had an encounter with the Lord. And the Lord, um while I was listening to this podcast, the Lord told me that I had a boy and I'm a mom. I'm a mom to two girls, and the Lord told me that I had had a boy and that his name was Isaac and that I would get to raise him when I get up to heaven. And of course, I wept, and that that just really blew me away. It blew me away. And I have um two, well, I I have a granddaughter and a grandson, a grandson that I've yet to meet, but I fully believe I will meet soon. Um, but um, I have another grandson who's about to be 17, unbelievably. But I've never been a boy mom, so I've not known what to do with that grandson when I when my daughter had got Jaden um when she adopted him. I was like, I don't know what to do with boys, Lord.

SPEAKER_07

And so here I am again.

SPEAKER_00

The Lord's telling me I'm gonna minister to men, and I'm like, Nathan, I don't know what to do with you guys, I don't know what to do with dudes. And so along the way, not only did Nathan become a friend, he became a son. He he helped teach me about dude things. He helped teach me one of the biggest things he's taught me is that men can be safe.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, they can be.

SPEAKER_00

They can be safe because I, you guys, I'm 61 years old, and in my personal life, in personal relationships, now I've worked with a lot of men. I worked with the military for 10 years, and I met a lot of men that could be safe, like on a business level. I've met many men that could be safe at a business level. That's not personal though, right? That's not being vulnerable with a man, that's not, you know, all the things. And Nathan and I, in the process of friendship and um and even therapy, because I'm I've always been when I was a therapist, I've just always been real with my story. I tell people my parts of my story where it where it might encourage them and give them hope. And I've always been fairly vulnerable with clients. And so Nathan showed me that men were safe to be vulnerable with. He has shown me, showed me that they're safe to accept help from, as I very reluctantly he's turning his head against me. He's very, I've been very reluctant, but I was sick not too long ago, and he's like, Sherry, and you know, he's in the he used to be a paramedic, and he's like, tell me some of the language you said because I can't re I don't know the language. Like, you heard me breathing.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah, oh my gosh, you guys, yeah. So like I heard her breathing, and obviously, like as as paramedics and EMTs, we we learn to pick up on a lot of things. And when I listened to her breathe, I could, it wasn't that I was hearing audible wheezing, but you could hear audible airway restriction. Like it was making, it was she was making more effort to inhale, and there was more noise produced by it. And that's not normal. Normally, when people breathe in, it doesn't make any any any sound. So I heard that right away, and that kind of cued me into say, hey, you know, do you want to try this? Do you want to try that?

SPEAKER_00

And so he was like, Do you need do you need these medicines? Do you want me to go get these medicines? And I was like, and then I finally said yes, and then he went and got them, and he wouldn't let me pay for them. That made me mad. So he's taught me in that, you know, in that sense, and he brought me medicine twice, you guys, because I ran, I went through all the cough drops, and um, and the second round he brought me ice cream.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, and that that was really funny.

SPEAKER_04

I just want to say this maybe 10-second thing. But when I was there, I was like, oh, I need to get her ice cream. So I went to the ice cream aisle and I called her and I said, What kind of ice cream do you want? Not do you want to get some ice cream, can I pick some ice cream up for you? What kind of ice cream do you want? And she goes, Stop it. If you read my mind one more time.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so this is that's good. If you read my mind one more time. So, in this process of becoming friends, being vulnerable with each other, and we've we've we pray together, we take communion together, we do a lot of things together in in the faith realm, and now in the podcast realm. And um dang, I lost it again, Nathan. Um, we're so being vulnerable together.

SPEAKER_04

Being vulnerable. Uh, we're kind of talking about the whole Isaac thing.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, yes, yes, yes. Oh, reading my mind, reading my mind. So all along the way and becoming friends and him becoming a son, I'm like, oh my gosh, if he says one more thing that is like me, I don't know what I'm gonna do. We're walking down the hallway one time, going into an appointment, and he's telling me how much he loves French fries. And you guys, French fries are my nemesis, I swear. And I'm like, and that was in a moment where I'm like, if he says one more thing, and I think maybe in that session, he tells me that when he doesn't drink now, but when I used to drink, I used to drink Pino Grigio, and I'm like, shut up. I don't want to hear, I don't want to hear one more thing, right? So he had become a spiritual son and a friend. And all of these things, like we literally think the same. Like, if you can be twins and be 21 years apart, that's what we are. We're twins and twenty from 21 years apart. So anyway, we're we're just always reading each other's minds. And I'm like, did you literally just say what was in my mind? And he'll he'll say the same thing to me. Um, so I was talking to the Lord, and I'm like, Lord, what is going on? What's going on now? Is it it's not enough that he became a son, he's a friend, he's all the things, and and I said, Lord, what is going on? And you guys, I will never forget this as long as I live. Almost not audible again. I've not ever heard the Lord, the Lord audibly, but I don't feel like I need to because he's really loud in my spirit. But the Lord said to me, the Lord said to me, I am redeeming your choice to have an abortion to the degree that this boy Nathan could literally be your blood son. He could literally be your Isaac. Do you remember that?

SPEAKER_04

I absolutely vividly remember that. And I want to share just a little bit, and then I want to go back to this. But uh for people, I what I just want to share, I am not a biblical scholar. I'm kind of a knuckle dragger, but I just want to share with you.

SPEAKER_00

He is not a knuckle drager.

SPEAKER_04

I want to share with you this thing that I learned. So I I I have been taking classes through Hillsdale College, they're free. Strongly encourage you if you haven't taken classes like on the Constitution, Federalist Papers, free, exceptional. I happen to be taking a class on Genesis, and I happen to have just heard a lecture.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I will never, ever, ever forget this either, you guys. Wait till you hear this.

SPEAKER_04

I happen to have just finished a lecture on Abraham and Sarah. And as many of you probably know, Abraham and Sarah were both in their 90s when God told Abraham that he was going to give him a son. And when Abraham heard that, he he laughed, and you know, there was some dialogue around there, and then Abraham told Sarah There was some dialogue around at 90 years old, right? Right. And Abraham told Sarah, and Sarah also laughed. And the gentleman who was putting on the class said there are two ways to interpret Sarah's laughter, and they're both common in biblical scholars, but one is a laughter of sort of like disbelief but joy about it, and the second is sort of uh not quite as strong as derision, but definitely disbelief. Like, there's no way, dude. I'm 90. Right, this is not right, right? And and so this this son was born, and God told Abraham to call him Isaac, and the reason is Isaac means laughter, and so I just think that's a really cool component because both Abraham and Sarah's very understandable human response was to laugh at this news. Right, and and the son they had was laughter.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, they had the son laughter, and what did you tell me in between recording these episodes? You said to me, Sherry, you got part of your son because of your laughter.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, like you you thought that you uh had aborted Isaac, and yet you've got all of this laughter. You have Isaac, you've been bringing it and sharing it with other people for a long time.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, for a long time.

SPEAKER_04

You've been sharing your Isaac with people for a long time.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. And then Jesus literally, you guys brought me an Isaac. I am sharing this story because I want you to know if I if there was a little mountain I could climb to the top of right now, I would climb to the mountain and I would yell from the top of the mountain. This is the degree God wants to redeem and restore what was stolen from you.

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Right? Absolutely. So whether you've had an abortion, whether you've been in prison, whether you're a recovering alcoholic, whether you're an alcoholic who wants to recover, whether you're a drug addict who is recovering or wants to recover, God is in the restoration business. God wants to restore what the locusts have stolen from you. If you have lost family members, I believe God is going to redeem them and restore them and bring them to a saving knowledge of Him. If you have lost loved ones and you have unresolved trauma or unresolved issues with those people that have gone on but that have passed on, God wants to restore that to you. Nathan, we can't talk fully about it, but God, oh my goodness, is God in the restoration process with him, like in ways, in ways that he never could have imagined. And there's I we're just at the I think he's just at the beginning of that happening. He's taken some really bold, obedient steps that he's heard the Lord say. And I know he's walking, the Lord has showed me often how much he's walking into his blueprint and some of the things that are on his blueprint. And God, God, Nathan's had a lot stolen from him, too. Again, some similar things, not exactly similar, some I don't know, just not good things in his story. But God, oh my goodness, God wants to restore, right, Nathan?

SPEAKER_02

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he really, really wants to restore what's been stolen. So that is the main reason I wanted to share how Nathan became my Isaac. Um, is I want you to know the degree, the height, the width, the depth that God can go to bring restoration, to bring you joy, to bring life back to what. Enemy has stolen. And if if I don't know, I we are about to enter a time on the earth. We are we are in that season as President Trump has just called for us to rededicate our country to God. That was a bold move that I believe the Lord orchestrated and ordained. And I believe we're going to see a shift in our country. And I believe we're going to see an outpouring of the Lord's glory. And I believe we're going to see many, many signs, wonders, and miracles and healing and restoration happen. And um yeah, I think you and I, Nathan, are gonna get to be a really big part of that. Separate, I tell Nathan all the time, and I think I've said this in the podcast, we're doing things um together and separate. We have different um different callings individually. Um Nathan has a huge heart as well. He's I tell him all the time. Um, um, can you read my mind right now? What do we say back and forth all the time? That's there, it's an acronym. It's four letters. We say a lot back and forth all the time.

SPEAKER_04

So we do say a lot back and forth.

SPEAKER_00

I give him these little quizzes.

SPEAKER_04

All right. Four letters. L M L S. Yes, yeah. Lima Mike, Lima Sierra.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Like mother, like son.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Or like son, like mother, right? Yep. Because there's just a gazillion, like I said, if if if if twins could be possible 21 years apart, and no offense to his birth mother at all, but the Lord is just using this relationship in this season and time. And it's I find it, oh, it's something else, Nathan, what that we have to share that I didn't plan on sharing, but I think it's really, really cool because I don't know where it's at in the scripture, but God talks about 30, 60, and 100. Right? Yeah, do you remember this? Yeah, like uh, like you're gonna participate in the kingdom and and doing things in the kingdom, the things that are on your blueprint, either 30, 60 or 100. And you guys, I'm 61.

SPEAKER_04

And I'm 39. Yep, and I don't do math, but that equals a hundred.

SPEAKER_00

That equals a hundred. And I was we were on the phone one day, and I think I was talking to Nathan about that scripture, and I was like, Oh my gosh, together we are a hundred. Together we're a hundred. And so um one of my daughters, many of my daughters are prophetic and so gifted, but one of my daughters who is very prophetic said, Sherry, you guys need to start things while you're a hundred. And we're gonna be a hundred and one in June. Yeah, because my birthday's in June, and his birthday's in July. So we're gonna be 101 soon. Thus, the birth of the podcast and whatever comes from the podcast. Um, so again, stuff, you guys, we can't make that up. We literally can't make that up. And what brought that to my mind is in 2007, when I think I can't remember what, oh no, it was 2009 when my sister passed away. God gave me Isaiah 61, and I've clung on to that verse for many, many years, or that chapter as well for many, many years. And I carried, as you heard, I carried this seed of ministry for 18 years. And the ministry, you guys was born. I gave birth to it when I was 61. And then there's Isaiah 61, and then there's 61 and 39. Yeah, you can't make any of it up. You can't make any of it up. So I want to encourage you guys to look around you and to see how God is at work. I've been teaching Nathan how to see, how to get confirmations from God. And oh my gosh, Nathan, do you remember one of the bumper stickers that you saw? You've seen, you've seen a couple of bumper stickers.

SPEAKER_05

You mean the one with the airplane?

SPEAKER_00

The one with the airplane, but I'm talking about the other one. But tell them, so tell them, well, tell them, not maybe not the whole story about why the one with the airplane is significant, but what is it about you and airplanes?

SPEAKER_04

Well, I I'm a commercial pilot. I don't work that way, but that's my licensure level, and I have loved airplanes since I could point and grunt. And it is one of the things that brings me the most um pure pleasure, and my mind is the clearest when I fly. There's a quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and I I'm probably going to butcher it, but it says something like, I fly because it frees my mind from the tyranny of petty things. And for me, that is absolutely true.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yep. So he saw a bumper sticker that looked like a little kid's airplane bumper sticker because we've been talking about planes lately. And he's he's like, Jerry, he sent me this picture with exclamation points, and I'm like, Oh my gosh. And then the most random, do you remember the most random other bumper sticker you saw?

SPEAKER_09

Isaac. Of course, Isaac.

SPEAKER_00

You guys, who has a bumper sticker on their car?

SPEAKER_04

And here's the thing about that it wasn't, it wasn't a single sticker that had the word Isaac on it. Okay, it was someone had taken stickers and they were different letters of the alphabet. Oh, yeah. And with the different letters, they made the word Isaac. So I just thought that that was another layer too, because it's not like they bought an Isaac sticker, they bought these separate individual letters and they made Isaac.

SPEAKER_00

That's even I don't think I knew that part. That's even wilder.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Right? So he sent me that one, and I was like, come on now, you gotta be making this stuff up. Nobody has a bumper sticker on their car that says Isaac. So I think I've said in other podcasts, I have prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed along the way because of me being a former trauma therapist and it being such a big no-no to be friends with your clients, blah, blah, blah. I have prayed and prayed and prayed for confirmation, confirmation, confirmation. And we could probably do a whole podcast on confirmations.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Right? God has sent us so many confirmations.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I don't have this one in front of me, but I might butcher it. But I parked one day at my office. We have a four-story, five-story garage at my office, and I parked in my in my parking garage, and I backed into the parking space, and in front of me were two white vehicles. Do you remember this?

SPEAKER_02

Vaguely.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. They they stood out to me because number one, they were two white vehicles, but both vehicles license plate started with a digit, different digits, but then it was RG on both cars.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, it was RG on both cars, and I knew in my spirit, I'm not a pilot, but I knew immediately in my spirit RG meant something to a pilot. And I Googled it, and what does it mean?

SPEAKER_04

Retractable gear.

SPEAKER_00

Retractable gear. Okay, one of the cars was a lacrosse, and the meaning of that is the cross. And then um, white is for purity. I've also prayed a lot of prayers for this relationship to stay pure and holy, and you can't make that stuff up.

SPEAKER_01

Nope, you can't.

SPEAKER_00

You can't, you just can't, you can't make it up. The other car, the other car, uh, I forget what kind of car it was, but it was like about exploring and doing things. And I'm just like, you like there's signs and there's symbols all around us, you guys. So I want to encourage you um to look around you. Look around at license plate, look, license plates, look at bumper stickers, look at billboards, look at the birds. I mean, birds minister to me so often. I have an eagle that lives close to my home, and oh man, he he ministers to me. I'm assuming he, I don't know why. Maybe because I'm starting to like men now. Um, but birds minister to me, and God just speaks to you. He speaks to us in so, so many ways. And and I want to add another way that he speaks to me often when I'm journaling, and I can be journaling about any number of things. I was recently just talking to God about my um spiritual children and asking God what was on the blueprint for me and each of those children. And so, but but whatever I journal, I'm usually listening to some music, and inevitably a song will come on that that that just like goes hand in hand with whatever I'm journaling. And so God can speak speak to us through music. Through do you have any other ways that He speaks to you? He speaks to you for sure while you're flying.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, and also when I'm reading, like there will be I'll be reading a book and I'll see a quote that is j it just like it echoes, it stops me where I'm at. And I would say that's a huge way, but also there's just a lot of people in my life that you know each of them will speak different things. There's one person who I'd never met before, and I shook her hand, and she goes, You must be very important. And I go, I'm just as important as everybody else. And she said some other things that were really just is this the chaplain at work? That's the one, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yep.

SPEAKER_04

It was just stunning. Like I I walked away from that one feeling like I got punched in the face in a good way, where like your brain is just rattled and you're you can't quite make sense of what just happened.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I um talk to my spiritual kids often and and with Nathan and another daughter, I often say, Look, look for where you see God. Where do you see God around you? And I often get responses throughout the day. Sherry, I saw God here and I saw God there, and I I love that, you guys. So if you look around, God is all around you. God wants to tell you that he loves you and that he sees you, that he knows you, that he's walking beside you, that he's with you. If he's not walking beside you, he's carrying you. Um, he just wants you to know how very, very, very, very much you are loved and seen and known by him.

SPEAKER_04

And you can you can pray and ask for those things. So ask to be shown. Like ask for God to show you his presence in your life. Ask for God to show you how he loves you or how he has loved you, how he continues to be with you. You can ask for those things so that you can see them.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yes. Oh my gosh, guys. Okay, I know we're going we're going a little long on this one, but that's okay. Um, I I left out a couple of really big things with the chapter in Genesis when Nathan, when Nathan shared with me, so um Nathan and my best friend Karen back to back were reading Genesis, and I can't remember what what Karen shared with me, but um Nathan shared with me about Isaac being meaning laughter. And then, oh, Karen, I think it was Karen that said to me that in that same chapter when they're talking in Genesis about Abraham, Isaac, and Sarah, um Karen shares with me that Sarah is called the mother to nations. And you guys, if I had false teeth, they would have fallen out at that moment because that's what God has called me. He took me from mom to many to mother of the nations.

SPEAKER_04

That's right. And I I think I remember us talking about because if you follow the lineage, which is in Matthew, by the way, it's in the very beginning of the Gospel of Matthew, and I happen to hear this, but the lineage, yes, Sarah, Isaac, and a lot of that lineage traces the sons down and it comes to David, yeah, and then and then a couple more sons down.

SPEAKER_00

And we gotta pause for a minute because God, I wish you guys could see his face. We have to pause because Nathan greatly relates to King David. Yes, because God has called you a king, yes, yeah. Okay, I just had to add that. Nathan greatly relates to King David.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, and so I've been reading and studying as much as I can about King David. Yeah, um, but in that same lineage, so Isaac, you know, son, son, son, David, son, son, son, and it's more than that, by the way, there's more generations, but from that same lineage comes Jesus.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. So, yeah, we're all in that lineage, right? And the other really big piece, you guys, that I forgot to share. Thank you, Jesus, for reminding me, is that my mother's name is Sarah. Right?

SPEAKER_05

Can't make that up.

SPEAKER_00

Can't make it up, you guys. And my dad's name. My dad's name. Yes.

SPEAKER_04

Her dad's initials are J C Juliet Charlie.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, I didn't think of that before, Nathan. Um, but my dad's name is Joseph. My dad's name is Joseph, so I'm waiting for God to unfold more about Joseph. And because you guys, I've made this a thing. I don't know if it's a thing, but I think it's a thing. Well, my sister obviously died fairly young at 47. And all of my my sister, my mom, and my dad were believers, but they were not deep believers, but they're believers. I know that I know they're in heaven. But I have asked the Lord for everything that's on their man, that everything that was on their blueprint, and so I was really taken aback when I realized that Sarah, my mother's name was Sarah Francis, and she went by Francis, but when I connected Sarah and and um Joseph? No, Sarah and Abraham.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, Sarah and Abraham, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and Sarah, Nathan, being the mother to the nations. I'm like, oh my word. Was my mom called to be the mother of nations, and God gave me that blueprint because I asked for her blueprint. I ask for my sister's blueprint and my dad's blueprint, and I ask for Isaac's blueprint.

SPEAKER_04

And Isaac being given to Abraham and Sarah is indeed divine and most unlikely.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man, Nathan.

SPEAKER_07

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, well, to bring it full circle.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and Sherry's laughter, divine and most unlikely.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. I never knew it was divine, Nathan, because sometimes people don't like me because of my laughter.

SPEAKER_04

Krabby people.

SPEAKER_00

Krabby people, yep. If I'm in a public place and something funny is happening, I will get I'll get a myriad of looks. Um yeah, but I'm kind of known for my laughter. Um and I shared, oh you guys, I shared the story, yeah, in this podcast with the Catholic priest, you guys. We all laughed, and one of them started snort laughing, and I thought I was gonna lose it. And my girlfriend Angie was making me laugh in some serious moments, and I was just like, I promise this is holy laughter. When she and I get together, this the spirit of joy can over overcome us. There was just another little sidebar. Uh, we were when we worked together at the last clinic, we both worked out, we just got the the spirit of joy fell on us. We were uh talking in between sessions with clients, and the spirit of joy fell on us, and we seriously just were laughing for like 30 minutes. Like, just I don't think anything over anything in particular, just the spirit of joy fell on us. And again, the Lord, the Lord says that joy is a weapon, and so I just want you to remember that. Um, there have been some sessions where, like for 15 minutes, I just said, Hey, let's laugh together because it shifts, it does shift things when you're feeling down and out or not so hopeful. Just laugh, it shifts a lot of things, and uh yeah, God has been gracious with laughter. So I love that Isaac means laughter, and I can't wait to see um that little boy in heaven and raise him. Um, and I'm so grateful for this. He's a little boy to me still, even though he's almost 40. I call the Lord calls him. The Lord told me one day when I was praying for him that he was um to the Lord, he was his sweet boy. And so now I often say, hello, his sweet boy and my sweet boy. Right. Because um, yeah, yeah, you're you're yeah, the Lord is gracious, you guys, gracious, and it might sound weird to you, you might be going, Oh, that's weird, that's whatever. I hope you don't think it's weird because if you think it's weird, you're gonna miss out on what God has for you. Because God goes outside the box, God has taken himself out of the box that I had him in all my life, the box that my grandparents put him in, the box that I put him in, the box that the world puts him in, and he's like, Hey, let me show you something. And he's showing me some really cool and amazing things, and I think he's showing you some cool and amazing things. Absolutely. You guys heard from our battle buddy story, yeah, right?

SPEAKER_03

Divine and most unlikely.

SPEAKER_00

Should you should you say it one more time for the people in the back? Divine and most unlikely, divine and most unlikely. And you guys, I have to brag. I love to brag on my natural children and my spiritual children. My one of my daughters created us the most beautiful cover for our podcast. It's about, it's hopefully about getting ready for us. And you guys aren't gonna believe how beautiful it is. Um, all of my spiritual children and natural children are very, very creative, very gifted, very um, they have high spiritual callings on their lives. And I can't wait to, we can't wait to show that to you guys.

SPEAKER_04

All right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Good place to wrap up.

SPEAKER_00

Good place to wrap up, Nathan. You, you guys, sometimes in therapy, um Nathan. What am I gonna say, Nathan?

SPEAKER_04

Uh, you know, sometimes in therapy, first of all, you know, the client's not supposed to keep an eye on the clock.

SPEAKER_00

That's correct.

SPEAKER_04

That's supposed to be the therapist's job. Uh, but I can't help it. You know, I I want to be mindful of time as well and sort of help in the effort. And then so there are there are times where we'll get toward the end of a session and we'll get to a place where, yes, there's obviously more to address, but it feels like this spot right here, if we break off here, it will be a good bookend. And so I'll say, good place to wrap up, Sherry. And she'll go, Yes, junior. It is a good place to wrap up.

SPEAKER_00

So I say that's carried over to the podcast.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, I think it has.

SPEAKER_00

It has. It has.

SPEAKER_04

All right. Uh, do you want to do your gratitude?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. I did not think about my gratitude. That's okay.

SPEAKER_04

I can't. Okay, go first.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, good.

SPEAKER_04

So this was the second one I told you guys I was gonna share this.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's right. You had one earlier. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

I told you guys I was gonna share this last time, but I am in the process of reading a couple of books right now. And one of them is a history of go ahead.

SPEAKER_00

When are you not in the process of reading a couple of books?

SPEAKER_04

Never. I'm always me either.

SPEAKER_00

That's another like mother like song.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, and we both have just tons of books, and so I'm in I'm reading the third in a six-volume set that is a history of World War II. It's written by Winston Churchill, and I don't use this word lightly, it is absolutely exquisite. I have, I think I have known quite a bit about World War II, and I am learning a ton of stuff that I didn't know. And one of the things that I'm grateful for right now is well, Winston Churchill, the man and the statesman and the leader, but also that he wrote these books so that we at any time can read from these lessons learned, make ourselves better, and apply those lessons to our lives and our nations to make our lives and our nations a better place to be. So I'm really grateful for that.

SPEAKER_00

Nathan, your gratitudes are always huge. Well, so are yours. I love that. I love that that your gratitudes are huge. I'm gonna have to make a list.

SPEAKER_05

You guys can't see this right now, but she's doing this thing that I find absolutely adorable. She's kicking one of her legs like a little girl when on a swing. It's just adorable. Rat it out by the boy.

SPEAKER_00

Rat it out by the boy. I don't know why I taught him about parts of self, you guys. I have paid for it ever since. He's like Sherry. The look he's giving me right now is looking down. He's got his head tilted forward and like giving me like a fatherly look. People randomly say, Sherry, are you being kind to your little girl? I don't oh. I don't say very nice words back when you do that, do I?

SPEAKER_05

I I think they're nice, but other people might receive them differently.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I think other people would. Anyway, um, what am I thankful for? Um I can't repeat what I said in the last podcast because we're still we're talking about Isaac and um I am thankful that okay, this is from the Lord. I am thankful that the Lord is not a man that he would lie. And that's a scripture. I am not a man that I would lie. So here's another word from the Lord for you guys. I know a lot of people that have been told many prophecies and they're waiting, they're pregnant still with those prophecies. Um, one of my daughters is a spiritual midwife. Um, yeah, she's so, so gifted. Um, and I know that a lot of you are still pregnant with the word of the Lord that either he's given you directly or you've got a prophetic word or something like that. Do not give up hope for that prophetic word to be born, because this is also the season of those words for you to give birth in the spiritual realm because all of this happened. Uh, Nathan became my Isaac because in that process, while he was a client, I gave birth to that word. And I I know somewhere along the way, I was like, Did I did I hear things correctly? Did he really say this or that? And and you guys, oh you guys, at the at the writer's advance, the conference I went to a year ago, they gave me a scripture, and I I wished I had the address of it in front of me, but the scripture was, you have heard me well. Now I will walk out the word that I have given to you, the things I have said to you. That was the scripture. They didn't know any of this story, they didn't know what I had carried for 18 years, and that was the scripture that I got along with the word elevate that changed all of that, changed my life. There's so many things that God has done in the past 61 years. I was gonna say five, I was gonna say three, but let me tell you, 61 years. There's so many things that he's done in the past 61 years that have radically changed my life, radically changed my life. Um, that's what I'm grateful for. All the things over the 61 years.

SPEAKER_04

Well, I think you just corrected yourself because that was a pretty huge thing to be grateful for.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the Lord let me trim. I won't say I won't no, I won't say I trumped in, but the Lord gave us both. It's okay. You you can win. No, no.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. All right, guys. Well, we're gonna wrap up. Thank you again for devoting your time. It's very valuable. Can't make any more of it. You've chosen to spend some of it with us, and we hope you'll come back and join us again on Divine and Most Unlikely.
