We're talking about looking and saying, God didn't order that. I only want the honor that comes from God. Because you know, the Lord has been saying to us, He said in April a door to more was opened. Well, you know, that that more is not just financial. It's this. It's being exposed to a higher standard. Honor from men is one standard. The honor that comes from God is the higher standard. What would a person's life look like if they were just simply going after the honor that comes from God? Nothing else matters, I just want what you want. I'm not concerned about what people think.

I want what you want more than what you can do. How would that change things? See, it would change things drastically. Because then my pursuits would be different. My desires would be different. Because I just want the honor that comes from God. Other things wouldn't matter. I told some ministers not too long ago, I said, I don't, I don't care, I've reached a place in ministry. I don't care what anybody thinks. I don't care what they think about what I believe. I want the honor that comes to you. That's it. And nothing else matters. And so this more is a higher standard. And in Psalm 115, 14. It says, The Lord will increase you more and more, you and your children. Amen. So he'll increase you more and more. So when he says, I'll increase you, that means to do more or to do more again. Meaning that whatever God has done for you, he's going to do that again and give you more. When I hear Christians say I feel cold, I feel away from God. That always concerns me. Because we should have more of God. We should have a deeper relationship. We know Him greater than we did six months ago.

You know, when you first got born again, it was exciting.

It was life-giving. And there's a reason for that. You were made a new creature in your life.

And he said, here's why. You want the honor that comes from men. You won't believe because you want the honor that comes from men. You remember the Bible talks about men that were disciples of Jesus, but in secret. Do you remember why? It says because they feared men. So they believed Jesus was the Christ. But they wouldn't say it openly. Because they feared men. Now what could those men have done? Taken away their position. Taken away their title. Taken away their standing.

And so Jesus is saying what people think.

But not what God thinks. He said, because you want the honor that comes from me. You have no desire for the honor that comes from God only. Nobody else can give it to you.

This is important. Because that stops a lot of people from moving into more. Oh, hallelujah. See, God desires to do more. He desires to do more. And he said you honor men. Or you glorify men. But you're not worried about the honor that comes from God. Amen.

It was their desire for honor from men that stopped them from receiving Jesus. They did not receive the Son of God. There was no question that he was the Son of God. No question. Remember Nicodemus came to him? And said, It's evident you're a man sent from God. Nobody could do these works unless God was with him. Right?

Desiring the honor that comes from God is the higher standard. That has to be our desire. When we desire what God wants, we'll receive the honor that comes from God only. As a husband, I need to get on my face before God and say, God, what do you want for my family? Father, what's in me that needs to be a child? Because I desire what you want for my family. And you start praying those dangerous kinds of prayers. And God can start moving in your life. Because what are you doing? You're knocking everything off. And saying, I only want what you want. No man in here has broad enough shoulders to make things work out on your own.

You can work every hour they'll give you and still miss what God wants for your family. They need things.

But they need God more than they need anything. And a husband that's after the things of God. And the only way you get there is get alone with God.

But see, this requires this laying aside. See, don't just go pray because you need God to bless you. Go pray and tell God, I only want what you want. Because you're a good God. You want to bless me. So there's got to be something stopping it. I'm just as the head of this home, I'm laying everything aside. And I'm saying, what do I need to do? Now I'm after the honor that comes only from God. And if I have to repent, I have to repent. If you have to say I'm sorry to my family, I have to say I'm sorry. Listen, I can only preach about me, I don't know about you. The whole time our children were growing up. I would go and call the whole family to the living room. I've been on my knees in front of the whole family. I repent.

You're going to go after the honor that comes from God. And you know, when you pray for your spouse, you pray for your husband.

That's a pride breaker. See, what makes you care about what people think is pride. And going after the honor that comes from God breaks pride. And so when you get on your face before God and you begin to say, I just want what you want. Don't worry if it takes an hour. Or two hours. Don't get in a hurry. Get in his presence and say, I only want what you want. You're here, you're here in this church because you want what God wants. You're here this morning because you want what God wants. Everywhere you find yourself in your life, you want what God wants. And you want it for the reason God wants it. Amen. Glory.

When you sense there's a change and you say, now Lord, I'm gonna fast a couple meals and I'm gonna seek you a little extra. I want the honor that comes from you. Every man in this room has the ability to do everything that God wants you to do. You just gotta go over the after the honor that comes from God. I'll say this, Holy Spirit. He said, That's gone. We gotta be honest about it. So there are people that reminded Paul of his past.

And he said, That's right, I was a blasphemer. I was a mean guy.

But God showed me his grace. And forgave me and set me free. Amen. I'm going after the things of God. Am I helping you today? You know, for anybody, but I for qualke persona, especially for these men as heads of our home. There is no substitute for just getting in the presence of God. And being honest with God. If you don't know how to fix something, just tell him, I don't know how to fix this. He'll honor you with wisdom. Right? Correct. Because he said, You come to me and I'll no wise cast you out. Can you repeat that please? If you come to me, I won't cast you out. James says, if you lack wisdom, ask and God will give it to you. See, honor and the fear, the respect of God go hand in hand. And he said that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. He said the fear of God was a lifeline to us. So Acts 2 47, notice what it says. Concerning the early church, it says they were praising God and having favor with all the people and the Lord added to the church daily as should be saved.

And having favor with all the people and the Lord added to the church. So they're praising God. The meaning of the word honor in John chapter 5 is praise. Amen. So they're telling God how great he is. They're honoring him. Favor with all the people. And the Lord added daily to the church such as should be saved.

You need favor on your job? Here's the answer. Honor God. Go after the honor that comes from God. What happened?

You'll have favor with all the people. As they honored God, God honored them. Amen. We honor and we honor God because of who God is. Amen. Why do we consult God about all of our decisions? Why do we ask God about everything? Things that we're asking, should we do this? Because he has a right to direct our decisions. Why he purchased us? By right of purchase. Now what the scripture says, it says we're the purchased possession of God.

Anybody else has a right to help with my decisions. See, when you start living that way, you're living in the honor of God.

Let me ask God. Let me go check. Yeah, but it's such a great deal. Let me check. Well, we need to go here, we need to do this. You better check. Right, there's one that has a right to make those decisions. I need to check in with him. Hallelujah. That's important. And that's how you live your life. You live your life like you're bought by the blood of Jesus. I can't just live my life ever how I want. I know there are other people who just live ever how they want. I can't. Because my life was bought with the blood of Jesus. And when I want the honor that comes from God only, that's how I live. Oh, hallelujah. See, this is so important. The word uses those words, purchase.

God does that. And then he doesn't make you do anything. He purchases you and buys you, and then he doesn't make you do anything. Are you gonna uh uh honor him like he's the one that has the right to make those decisions? Hallelujah. We are because we don't want it on the table if he didn't order it. Do you see that? So when a church body wants to do what God wants them to do, God will honor that. They want to be in that city to do what God wants them to do. Hallelujah. Because everything comes from that honor.

And again, we're not talking about sin. Now sin dishonors God.

I mean, that's the ultimate dishonor. Because I've been bought out of sin.

So for a person that sin has no dominion over, so live in sin is dishonorable to God is dishonorable because I have victory over it.

But this is this is more, it's mass. If you look at your life, ever how much or little you have, God made that possible.

No Lord, my mother's in heaven today, Mother's Day. The Lord woke her up at three o'clock in the morning. He said, You need to pray, the devil's trying to kill your son.

It was a thousand miles away in West Texas, and the devil was trying to take my life. And the Lord spared my life.

Now let's look at 1 Kings chapter 3. Because I wanted to show you an illustration of this. I believe I'm helping you. First Kings chapter 3. And we want to read 11 through 13. And God said unto him, Because you've asked this thing and have not asked for yourself long life or riches. You've not asked of the life of your enemies, but you've asked for yourself understanding to discern judgment. Behold, I've done according to your words. I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so there was none like before you, neither will after you arise any like unto you. And I have also given that which you did not ask, both riches and honor, so that there will not be any among the kings like unto you all your days. When God appeared to Solomon.

So that there'll be no king like you all of your days. God made this possible. You know, parents will tell their kids, now you know what if you just work hard. Good things will come to you. That's a lie. Because there are people that have worked hard all their life and they don't have anything good. Because you can't get the honor that comes from God only by working hard. We need to work hard.

But my life is not at the mercy of my work.

He said, I've given you what you didn't ask for. The spiritual things came first. Then the natural, but they all come through the channel of the honor that comes from God. Every time, for instance, something very simple. Every time you give God the first part of your day, you're saying, I want the honor that comes from God. Amen. When you get your family around, you say, now let's let's let's look at the scripture. Let's pray today. Before we all go about our way, let's let's pray. Let's let's get in the word. Every how you have to do it, I want the honor that comes from God only. Hallelujah. Do you see that?

And so when you begin to honor God, by asking him what he thinks, that moves you away from some things. If there's a financial shortage, this is what I recommend.

You do what you want. I always go to God this way. Now, Father, you know what I need before I ask. Your word says you know what I need before I ask. You said you would supply all my need according to your original word. I'm a tither, and so the windows of heaven are open. You said it would come, press down good measure, press shake it together, run it over.

I receive that and I thank you for it. And now I ask you, is there something I need to do different? What do I need to change? Is there somewhere I'm missing it? And then just begin to praise and glorify God.

Because I'm entering into the honor that comes from God. See, it's not honorable just to present my request and then go on about my day. Hallelujah. And that's what a lot of people do, oh Lord, we have this need, we have this problem, we have this issue. And Father, according to your word, you said you would do this. Now, Lord, I really need you to move. Now I gotta go, Lord, thank you. Well, I did two things. I I got out of his presence before he could help me.

But if I get in his presence and I say, What do I need to change?

If I need to change something, show me, tell me. I don't ever want to start my day without consulting the one that has a right to direct my decision. That's why in 1 Samuel 2 30, we won't turn there, but 1 Samuel chapter 2, verse 30. The prophet said this. He said, Those who honor me, I will honor. It was many, many, many years ago the Lord imprinted that on my spirit. Those who honor me, I will honor. I'm honoring God because of who he is. And built into my honor for him. It's his honor for me. Hallelujah. Doing what you want me to do. That's honor. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Say out loud. I want to honor God. Amen.

I don't know anybody's life unless you ask me to pray for you and God shows me something.

But here's what I know is that anything that you need or desire starts with just getting alone with God and asking him, what do you want? Because I need to know so that I know how to direct my life.

And there are multiplied numbers of people that are gonna get up in the morning and they're just gonna go about their day like they're in charge. I've got to go to work, and they never stop to ask God, is this what you want?

If you know there's more, somewhere I need to ask God, what do you want me to do? Because that yearning is my spirit yearning for more of what God wants. Do you see that? And then that's when the fulfillment and the joy and the peace begin to show up. Because I'm I'm consulting with the one that has a right to help me make those decisions. And my family, this never ends. Never ends. I'll soon be coming up on 52 years born again. And you still have to go ask God. Is this what you want? Hallelujah. But I want the honor that comes from God. And we're gonna pray. What decisions you may be trying to make. I don't know what steps you need to take. But I'm no one that does.
