About Our Guest
Heather Wick is the founder of Sacred Boardroom, where she serves as a Chief Energetics Officer for visionary leaders building companies that are meant to move culture forward. Through ritual-based strategy sessions and ongoing energetic stewardship, she helps founders meet the deeper intelligence of their business, clear unseen blocks, and bring their leadership into alignment with the frequency their company is here to hold.
Her work blends practical business experience with deep energetic attunement. After spending 15 years in the corporate world, including a successful career in the mortgage industry, and over 2 years of intensive training in energy work, Heather now guides founders through a radically different way of leading: one where intuition, integrity, and energetic coherence become strategic advantages.
The result is a business that moves with clarity, attracts the right people, and grows in a way that feels both powerful and sustainable. Because when the energetic operating system of a company is aligned, everything else begins to organize itself around that frequency.

Oftentimes, what I find is that as founders begin to meet the energy of their business, it can feel a little overwhelming because this source that has come in and is here to be an expression on this earth at this point in time is usually asking quite a bit of the founder, right? It's asking you to either, you know, if you're an actor, maybe it's asking you to be more visible than you're actually comfortable with, even as an actor where you would think visibility is kind of the goal. There's still some things there, right? That are like knowing that you are here on this earth to be a visible human and actually executing on that or embodying it are two completely different things. And so these businesses are a very direct invitation to operate in this lifetime as our highest self.
SpeakerThis is The Embodied Way Podcast, where creative people come to reconnect with their sole purpose, identify and release their blocks, heal old wounds, and manifest the life they've always dreamed of. Hi, I'm Natalie Necky farow, and welcome back to The Embodied Way Podcast. I'm so excited to introduce you today to Heather Wick, who is the founder of Sacred Boardroom, where she serves as a chief energetics officer for visionary leaders building companies that are meant to move culture forward. Through ritual-based strategy sessions and ongoing energetic stewardship, she helps founders meet the deeper intelligence of their business, clear unseen blocks, and bring their leadership into alignment with the frequency their company is here to hold. Her work blends practical business experience with deep energetic attunement. After spending 15 years in the corporate world, including a successful career in the mortgage industry, and over two years of intensive training and energy work, Heather now guides founders through a radically different way of leading. One where intuition, integrity, and energetic coherence become strategic advantages. Hi Heather, how are you doing?
Speaker 2I am wonderful. How are you, Natalie?
SpeakerI'm doing great. I'm so excited to have you here today. I just want to share a little bit about how I met Heather. We met at a very, very special time in my life. I was on the support team for Briana Borton for quite a while. And um, Heather had trained with Brianna. And so we actually met in a program. I think the very first program I remember meeting you in was actually a program where Briana was teaching us to connect with the energy of our businesses.
Speaker 2I did not know that.
SpeakerWe were in a program later that you probably remembered me more because then at that point I was more of a client than uh than someone on her team. But um, but uh I think that's really pertinent and interesting given what we're about to talk about today.
Speaker 2Cool. I love that.
SpeakerYeah. So I think it's really interesting that your title is Chief Energetics Officer. So would you tell us what that means?
Speaker 2Yeah. So Chief Energetics Officer for me has meant coming into a business and working to analyze energetically what's going on in the system of the business, right? Like each business has an energy field, or sometimes I call it an energetic operating system. It's just how if you think of source or universal energy or whatever you want to call that, it moves in a certain way as it enters in and travels through a business. And so as chief energetics officer, I really go in and sit with that energy in the business and help optimize it. If there's somewhere where there's a gap, I will work with the founder to see what needs to happen to fill it. If there is somewhere that there's like a, it's just like a lot more work than it needs to be to get through that part of the system. We'll see if there's some things we can remove. There's just a lot of, a lot of opportunity for better flow in an actual business system than we realize a lot of times. And as humans, we really like to mess with things and kind of get in the way sometimes. And so it's all about not only supporting the energetic energetics as they're moving through the business, but also the founder and that relationship between the two.
SpeakerThat's great. I love that. And I'm sure people have a lot more questions about it. But before we get into it more, a lot of my audience is creative. Um, well, all of my audience is creative in the sense that I believe that entrepreneurs are creatives just as much as an actor or a writer or a director. Um, but I'd loved for you to talk about this in the context of someone who might not necessarily think of their creative career as a business. Can you can you speak to that just a little bit?
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah. I love this question. And I think, you know, I've had a lot of creatives kind of coming into my sphere lately. And it's so interesting because what I notice a lot about creatives is that their body of work so often really is a self-expression, right? It's it is like coming from their heart and they're putting it out into the world. And so there is a certain level of like, this is your energy going out into the world and where the energy of a business comes into play, I would say, whether it is your business or a company that you're working for, you know, there's there's really this place where we are, you know, we're bringing forth our own creativity, but there's also this like currency that's actually coming from money, right? It's what you're the work that you're being paid for, no matter how that happens. If it's a if it's a 1099 contract, I would say that that is your business, whether you're stewarding it like that or not. Um, and so if that is confrontational for some people, I'm sorry, but also lovingly, you've got a lot more control than you realize. And so this idea of it's like this place where your creativity, currency of income or money, and then either your business or someone else's, it's like this melting pot where they all kind of mix and meet. And what happens a lot of times, and especially for creatives, because so much of your work is self-expression, that this energy starts to get really entangled, right? It's like all meshed up. You're like, if I have all of these, you know, bookings, then I'm doing so good, right? And really part of this is the energy of your business that's like working, whether you're working in it or not. And so it doesn't necessarily mean that you did a great job or you did not so great of a job as a person based on, you know, whether you're selling your art or finding these bookings or whatever the case may be. Sometimes it's just that there's maybe a block in the flow of energy in the business side of things, especially if you aren't acknowledging that you are a business owner as a 1099 contractor. Because I would say very clearly that you are, you know, you pay taxes to the US government as if the US government is recognizing you as a business owner. Yeah, yeah.
SpeakerYeah. And I think that that's so valid. And for you know, actors and writers, you know, most of the time our creative work is with many, many different people. And so it's important to recognize that that actually does kind of make you a business because of the very fact that you're not completely funneling your energy in one direction. It's going in a lot of different directions. Yeah. Okay. So I'm sure people have a mixed level of understanding about energy work. I talk about energy work in my community a lot, but I talk about it in relationship to the personal. So I'm wondering if you could share a little bit about what energy work is like when you're working with a business or um, you know, a cre a creative career, if it's sort of funnels under that headline and maybe how it's different from personal energy work.
Speaker 2Yeah. Yeah. So I will say working with personal, like with an individual, is almost like it just takes a bit more work, honestly. Um, as humans, we come in and we have a life experience. We've had a childhood that had that left some, you know, imprints in our energetic field, whether we realize it or not. Um, there's just a lot of stuff and a lot of interactions with other humans or other situations that kind of leave just little, you know, kind of little blips on our energetic field. Whereas a business, the way that it appears to me at least is that the energy of a business is an energy that is here to bring a certain mission or purpose or value into the world in the form of a business. And you, as the business owner, are a steward for this energy, right? You're an energetic match. At some point in time, there was a frequency between you and a frequency between what the business was here to bring that was like a thing, like this is this is like a go, right? And so as the founder, you can now bring that and steward it into the world and work with it like a business partner, truly. It really is when we sit down and connect with the energy of our business, it becomes a business partner that actually has feedback to give us that is maybe telling us a direction that it wants to go. That are like like knowing that you are here on this earth to be a visible human and actually executing on that or embodying it are two completely different things. And so these businesses are a very direct invitation to operate in this lifetime as our highest version, as our highest self. And also sometimes they have a life cycle that's shorter than ours, right? Like we're not always, not everybody keeps a business for an entire lifetime or works with a business for an entire lifetime. So sometimes there's these like your business is asking you to get to a certain point and then it's going to go to someone else or close down. You know, there's different iterations of that, but it really is for the most part, I would say, is a bit more like energetically, it's just had a lot fewer little dings in its system than the founder has. It's had a lot less life experience, it's come in as pretty much pure source and is operating in the world like that. And sometimes if it's like a generational business or it's been around forever, there are some patterns that that we can work on. Right. Right. Like if it's been here for a lifetime, it is all it also has a lifetime's worth of stuff. But you know, if it's like a new business idea that just came to you in the last few years or a newer career, it's pretty clear and easy to work with because it's just like this this iteration of source energy that's coming in and just ready to be presented to the world.
SpeakerWow. I love that so much. And I think it was really, really powerful when you were sharing sort of what you know, if acting is your career, what it might be asking of you or what your business is asking from you. And the fact that it's demanding, I think sometimes as an actor, we'll be like, oh, I love acting, but acting doesn't love me back. And I think what you and I know from this energetic perspective is wow, the business energy is actually much more evolved than us because it doesn't have all this baggage, which is just really, really cool to think about. So, how do you help people bridge the gap between the mission of the business, that energy of the business that's actually like really gear and game to move forward, and that personal friction because of all the things that that's bringing up in the individual?
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah. And this is so this comes up every day in my work, right? Like there's there's a founder that actually has a nervous system that we have to like work with and keep safe as we're doing this work. And we have to constantly remind the body that being visible does not mean we're going to die, right? I mean, that is literally like what our nervous system is. It's like, no, no, no, stay safe. You're gonna die if you go put your face on this, you know, production. And it really does think that sometimes, whether we realize it or not. And so the way that I tend to work with this is, you know, you have your business and it is this big version. And the the thing that's crazy about the energy of a business is it encompasses the energy that as it sits right now, but it also encompasses the energy that's 28 years down the road, 30 years down the road, you know, it's got it all. And so a lot of times that bigness that's felt is because you're tapping into the version that's 20 years down the road. And the truth is that you don't actually have to take action in the 20-year down the road version today. And I will say that the more you work with the energy of your business and learn to partner with it, you can begin to have some quantum leaps and skip forward in the timeline. And the way that we do this is we really work as the founder to learn your own frequency, right? Like learn your own energy body, learn what it feels like to be in this human, in this time, in this space. Like really get to know yourself and own that, right? Like fully embody and own that. And then we get to know the energy of your business. And you can do it the same way. Like you can invite it into meditations with you. You can, you know, I sit with my business every week and we have a sacred boardroom meeting where we actually work together. And what I found is that when we're in these meetings, I always start by noticing where I'm at in my energy and noticing where my business is at in her energy. And I always start by taking one step closer energetically towards my business. Right. I'm like, okay, how can I either every week it appears differently, but like, how can I expand a little bit more or literally like take a step? Or if we're looking like if sometimes energy shows up as color. So I'm like, if I'm, you know, blue and you're purple, can I add a little bit of red to my color this week? Like just those kind of things. How can we get a little bit closer? And then once I've made my move, I invite my business to come a little bit closer to me. And I do that as many times as I can until we go from maybe like operating like this to like now, maybe we're like this, or even sometimes like some weeks we're like this. And that's when I decide what I'm doing this week, right? When I have my energy as close as I can get to my business and she's as close as she can get to me, that's when I actually decide what goes on my calendar this week. Because it is me operating as the highest version of myself that I can get to this week. And some days it's real close to where she's at. And some days it is like all the way in the human. It's just how it goes. But I know that because I check in with it so often and regularly that whenever there's the opportunity for me to be closer to this 20-year-down-the-road version, I'm gonna take it. And that's what helps me move ahead into the next iteration even faster.
SpeakerI love that so much. It's so practical. And I'm like, oh, I haven't done that in a while.
Speaker 3Yeah.
SpeakerI'm wondering if you can speak a little bit to the multi-hyphenate folks who listen to this podcast. I know that for myself, I've always had many different things going at the same time. And I had like many conversations with Brianna about like whether my coaching business was actually separate than my acting career or not. Like there was a time when she was kind of putting them all together in one. And I was like, no, that actually doesn't feel right. So I'm wondering if you can talk a little bit about say somebody has a business and then they have a creative career and maybe they still have a side job. Are those three different energies that they need to connect with if they want to move all of those things forward? Or how would you recommend working with that?
Speaker 2Sure. So I would say it depends. Um, the first thing is you do always have the option to kind of to invite everybody to the party, so to speak. So you can say, okay, I'm gonna have my sacred boardroom meeting and I'm gonna invite in my acting career, and I'm gonna invite in my coaching business, and I'm gonna invite in the side hustle that I have. I'm gonna invite all of them into the same room, and I'm gonna let that energy kind of mix around a little bit. And I'm that's gonna be the version that I'm gonna work with, right? So especially for like short on time. Yes. I, you know, as as multi-hyphenates, I know how quickly the time goes. And so sometimes for the purpose of time, we're just gonna invite everybody into the collective circle around the campfire and be like, all right, this is like this this little melting pot right here of energy, this is what we're gearing towards. And that's gonna be like our attunement piece, right? Where we're kind of like working towards this. And it's gonna get you results. It's probably not going to be as impactful as if you choose one and like sit with that this week and be like, all right, I am this week, I'm really focusing in on my acting career. Maybe I don't know if your audience is like big on like cycle syncing or something like that. But if you're like, I'm in this phase where I really want to be out and open and visible and like it feels really good, and you're like, I'm just gonna focus in on my acting career this week. And so then you sit with the energy of that particular portion, and then you can be more nuanced, right? You can have those conversations with that particular piece that are really supportive to expand and grow that portion of your career. And also like it it can be in with the pot. It doesn't have to all be every time. Like it's not like you need to sit down for three hours a week and do energy work on each business, you know.
SpeakerYeah, yeah.
Speaker 2Um, and and also when you do find the time, like when you do feel like you really want to focus on one area, it's ready to be like pulled out. And like, you know, it's like having a group of friends and then going on a date with just one friend, where it's like there's just a level of depth and and attention that you don't get when you're in the group setting.
SpeakerGreat. That was really insightful to share some of the different ways that we can work with our energy as multi-hyphenates, and that it's totally possible to sometimes give lots of devotion and love to one area, but that we don't have to do that all of the time in order to move things forward. And I think that's really helpful because as you mentioned, multi-hyphenates are always being pulled in many different directions, and there's always more that we can do. I think that a lot of people in my audience struggle with overwork and burnout. And I'm curious about how doing energy work with their businesses is going to help them shift that pattern.
Speaker 2Right. Uh well, I will say first that energy work on its own for your business will not shift the cycle of burnout. It will not. You there is a certain level of self-awareness and willingness to rest that you need to discover on your own before you'll really ever begin to shift that cycle. It's it is not done in the energy of the business, it's done in the energy of the founder. And and you know, I'm sure that you probably speak to this even better than I do, but it is yeah, it is a no from the energy of the business. I will say though, that for example, I had a client this week and she just had this incredible event. It was, you know, it was a retreat. There was over 20 women there. It was so amazing. And we she came off of this retreat and is like immediately into the next thing, right? And I'm like, I when I sat with the energy of the business this week, there's a a recognition on the business's level of where the human's at, right? Yeah. Where it's like pushing for you to rest now because it can kind of see what's in the cards. Like it's done this a time or two with you. It knows your patterns. And so when we do listen to the energy of the business, usually if we're coming off of some big thing like that, it will be less demanding automatically. Automatically. It's like, whoa, whoa, wait, like let's integrate for a minute. It really does. It desires for you to be in your best and highest operating capacity because it knows having you as the founder in your best and highest self is like the fastest way for it to get its mission out into the world. And so there is that relationship. You know, again, it's like it's like another human observing you being like, are you sure you're okay? Like, do you need a nap? So there is that aspect of it, but it cannot necessarily be shifted in the business energy.
SpeakerGreat. I really appreciate it. And I love that I asked a question, which the answer was no, because I think, you know, sometimes it's like, oh, okay, well, this is going to solve everything. Um and we can talk a little bit. I'd love for you to talk a little bit about what uh this energy work does help with, but just reiterating that one, doing your personal work is always gonna be important. And two, that your business is not going to just demand that you keep going and going and going if you really need to take care of yourself and rest. And so being open to that and listening to that is also really, really important. Yes. So yeah, why don't you talk a little bit about what some of the benefits are from doing energy work for your business?
Speaker 2Yeah. So I will say the first one is that it really is like having a partner in the room that cares deeply about you and your well-being. And it really isn't going to, I not that it's not going to push you, but it's not going to push you in a way that you push yourself. Like you as a human, I I know probably most of the people listening to this can relate to the fact where you pushed beyond the point of reason. You were like, if I just make it through this thing, like if I can just do this one last project or this one last recording or this one last piece of art or this, you know, one more, one more, one more, that's the human that's like really tied up in a culture and situations where productivity has been highly rewarded for a very long time. And where we've had our worth be determined by our output. And your business is again like it really wants you to be at your highest level of operating so that you can go out and communicate its message to the rest of the world. And so um so by working in the energy of the business, first of all, like for example, this client that I was talking about, what happened is as we were doing this, like as I'm doing the energy work, I the questions that I kind of ask are, where are we now? Where are we going? And how do we get there? And then the how do we get there is where the work really is done. And so as I'm asking the questions to this week, uh, this week to that particular business, one of the things that came down is like actually like sitting down with the calendar and looking at the calendar for the rest of the year, like where are your launches or your retreats or whatever is going on, and like physically blocking off days after those moments. Like we're gonna plan for our energy to peak and then we're going to plan for rest. And it's like very practical advice sometimes. And sometimes it talks in metaphor and it's like all very like, what does this mean to you? But a lot of times it's actually very like direct and clear. Like, sit down today and block these dates off on your calendar so that nothing accidentally gets on there, like now and like right now. Like, did you do that yet? Are you done?
unknownYeah.
Speaker 2Because we're not moving on until you've done this one thing because we've had this pattern now and we recognize it and we can see it's unhealthy. And so, what are we gonna do about it in the future? Because the business doesn't want you burned out, it doesn't want you to be like going nonstop, and also it wants to be celebrated in those moments of success. It's like take some time and party with me. Like, we just did this really cool thing. Where'd you go?
SpeakerYeah.
Speaker 2Well, let's let's have a glass of champagne and like cheer ourselves on for a minute. So yeah. And and I think that as we begin to establish these relationships, that you start to also begin to understand the language that your business is trying to communicate in. Or, you know, if you have a chief energetics officer, then I communicate with you every week to let you know what's coming through. And the more you kind of get used to hearing that feedback and the more you learn to trust it and trust yourself to act on it, the more impactful it becomes and the easier it becomes too, right? Because in the beginning, you're like, this is really weird that business is talking to me and telling me to do something. Like, am I going crazy here? And then as you practice it more, you're like, oh no, the last time I planned that rest, what actually happened is that there was all this stuff going on in the background and I didn't have to do any of it. It was just taken care of for me. Like I didn't even need to be in the mix of that.
SpeakerSo yeah, yeah, that's great. All right. So, how can people start doing this work? And what resources do you have if people want to work with you or want to explore that kind of relationship?
Speaker 2Yeah, thank you for asking. So, the very first thing that I recommend uh is always getting more in tune with your own frequency, like understanding where we are at in our energy field is the starting point because it's really hard to understand where you end in your business begins if you aren't really aware of your own field yet. So, for that, I have a founder frequency audit, and I'm sure we'll have, you know, a link in the show notes or something like that. Uh, but it's just a guided experience that helps you tap into your own frequency and see where you maybe have some hiccups and some disconnections between like what's going on in your body. It really is tied back to business and like where you're maybe having some issues in your business and just helping you see how those are kind of related in your own field. So that's place number one. I also have a free business energy diagnostic that I offer to people. And that is um for someone who's really ready to get the know, get to know the frequency of their own business. And we do a 30-minute call. I will have you fill out a short questionnaire and uh usually look at any forward-facing social media or websites or whatever you share. I will take a look at and see what the energy of your business is communicating without you even realizing it. And so that's kind of a nice place to see like where your business frequency is at right now, and also where you as the founder are maybe like, you know, having your own stuff kind of come out sideways in your business. So uh that is uh sacredboardroom.com forward slash diagnostic, and you can go schedule anytime. And those are the two places where people start. If you know you're ready to do the work, then uh I suggest doing my sacred boardroom sessions, and it's two sessions that are designed to meet the soul of your business and begin to work with it like a business partner. Um, and this is where like you can actually, I feel like it becomes like tactile, like energetically. I'm like, I can touch it at that point, and I can actually start to work with it on my own. And um, so that is on my website at sacredboardroom.com.
SpeakerOkay, amazing. Thank you so much. All right, so there are a few questions that I like to ask all of my guests. Yeah. Um, so we're gonna do that real quick. And all right, so what does embodiment mean to you?
Speaker 2Embodiment means me using this body to fully express the source or universe or whatever you want to call it in this lifetime.
SpeakerThat's beautiful. All right. Do you have a daily practice that is really supporting you and staying present with this season of your life?
Speaker 2Yeah, I do. Um, I actually I'll have to see if I can get you a link for this. I just recorded it and it's not like super official yet, but I think this might be helpful for people. Um, but my standard practice that I start every day with is I draw all of my own energy back to myself from any way, place, conversation that it's leaked out. And I send any energy that's not mine back out into the world, and I really focus this in on my business because we get so tangled, so easy. And that singular practice and like really getting all of my energy reclaimed to myself and everyone else's like sent back to them is uh has been life-changing for me.
SpeakerGreat. The final question is what is one thing that's really inspiring you right now?
Speaker 2Gosh, I feel like I get inspired by so many things. I will say the one thing that is really inspiring me right now is feeling like we're at this time and place in the collective where we're really ready for some big transformation. And seeing all of these female entrepreneurs come into the space and really take up space and use their voice in a way I don't think has been done on this scale in the past. And I feel like I know, you know, even today, I think I posted a story on Instagram about like I was using an oil from a woman that I know that makes these beautiful oils, and I was preparing for your podcast. Like, I just feel like I have so many people that are living their dreams and going for it right now. And even if it's hard and even if it's like not going the pace that they want, but they're doing the damn thing, and it's so inspiring. And I'm just like happy to be in the mix with everybody.
SpeakerYeah, I love that so much. Well, thank you so much for coming on the Unbody Made Help podcast, Heather. It means so much to me, and I love hanging out with you. It this energy is just so magnetic, and I know it's gonna carry me throughout the rest of my day. Are there any final thoughts that you'd like to share before we wrap up?
Speaker 2Yes. My final thoughts are a reiteration of something that I've already said. But if you have this dream or this vision in you and it just keeps like keeps showing up and you're feeling like you're not ready, I just want to reiterate that the energy of your business is here and you are a match for that. You are ready to steward it, whether you realize it or not. And that like constant reminder is just that belief of your business in you. It chose you, it wants you. You can do this. You do have the skills right now that you need to bring this into reality. And your business is here, like ready to support you and go on the ride too.
