In this episode we talk about a few things like shopping scams, video games, UFC, and the NBA.
Hopefully you all enjoy!!
They're they're doing something in the county we're in, I believe, that when you order something online and have it shipped to your house, you have to now pay an extra tax on it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I heard about that part, but I don't remember what the whole deal was. I heard a whole I was talking to like a 50-year-old. I was gonna say that. I was talking to like an older person that's pretty knowledgeable in this stuff. And I said something about like you want to pay property tax on your house. I don't know. I don't know. It's gonna sound bizarre. They know more about it than I do. I don't know how it works.
SPEAKER_00Pay sales tax on something when you buy it. Yep. Why do I now have to pay another tax on shipping it to my house? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, cause now you go now if you go do your Walmart order thing embobe like online. It wasn't taxed city tax before, but it is now. That's it's going to be anyways. Like I go to the Walmart closer to my house, you know, in that one town. Yeah. And I don't have to pay online tax. So it's way cheaper. Like my groceries will be like twenty dollars cheaper than they are. Like, no joke. That I go to the store.
SPEAKER_01Hot take. If you do online Walmart ordering or capable to go inside, you are a problem. Hot take.
SPEAKER_02Like, like if you do it, like you're the guy delivering it and stuff?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_00Like the problem as in what?
SPEAKER_01Because I have stuff delivered to my house because I don't want to go on Walmart. No, I mean the people that sit out curbside and have them brought out their groceries. Oh and have all those. You're talking about the people who drive to Walmart. Yeah, then sit in their car and have them brought to them.
SPEAKER_00Bro, I do that every week. I don't do it. I don't do it though because I want to do it. I would rather go in and get the stuff. Yeah, me too. You have kids. The wife, the wife gets on her phone, she puts in what she wants, and I go pick it up for her. Well, here's the problem with that. Okay. Anytime.
SPEAKER_01It ruins the entire experience inside of Walmart if you decide to go. Because there's these huge parts everywhere. And they're take up the entire row and they sit there and just look because they don't they don't know where stuff is. Most of them are branding. I agree. And it ruins, it's ruined Walmart.
SPEAKER_02My problem.
SPEAKER_01They're everywhere.
SPEAKER_02My problem is if I go into freaking Walmart, dude, I'm going to buy like that.
SPEAKER_01Is self-control issues you need to work? No, it's not. That's what that's called.
SPEAKER_02No, it helps me.
SPEAKER_00It helps me if that's Walmart doing their job.
SPEAKER_02No, it helps me out so much. Hear me out. Because, dude, I I don't buy half the junk when I just I'm thinking off the top of my dome, like stuff I'm gonna need throughout the week, me, me and my wife. But if I go in the store, like I don't see that stuff, so I don't have to buy it. But if I'm doing online, I'll never see it because I'm only looking up specific things, so I only buy specific things and it's way cheaper.
SPEAKER_01Agree to disagree.
SPEAKER_00I don't want to trash on Walmart because it's absolutely essential to my life. Yeah, except for the fact that they took away like so many jobs with self-checkout. Listen, that's what I want to talk about.
SPEAKER_01The only thing about that is it did add a ton of jobs for the people that just shop. Exactly. I will say that. A lot of them people would not have a job if it wasn't for that. Yeah. But it is still such a nuisance.
SPEAKER_00But here's I had two in my head, but I forgot one of them. The biggest problem I have with Walmart, it's the biggest issue I've got. Shout out to Walmart. Shout out Walmart. Love you, gotta have you. Can't live without you. But how come every time I go into a Walmart store? And this isn't just our our local Walmart, every Walmart store that I've ever been in. You've got probably 20 or in the big, big ones in big cities, you got like 30 or 40 self-checkout little spots. Why are three-fourths of them closed all the time? The only thing I can guess is that there has to be a certain there has to be a worker, because you have the workers watching the self-checkouts. I think you have to have a worker for every certain amount of machines. I think that's probably their store policy. Because you probably gotta have like one one worker overseeing probably six or eight machines. I get that. That's cool. But in the big city Walmarts where they're all in like a circle on either side of the store, why not just put one worker in the center and give them a little desk or something?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, here's the thing, dude. Like sometimes I'll go into the store and I'll like, dude, I would never steal a thing in my entire life. And sometimes there'll be a person standing at the end of the thing and they don't really care.
SPEAKER_00I'd steal if I found a million dollars in a duffel bag on the side of the road, I'm talking about scanning your groceries at Walmart.
SPEAKER_02Like, oh, yeah. You see people on the internet just like pretending like they're scanning, get out of there. Well, sometimes I go to Walmart, there's someone standing at the end of all the checkouts, and they don't really care. Like they they're like, okay, yeah, I see you. They don't even ask for the receipt. But then there's some people that will walk up next to you like while you're scanning your groceries, and they'll be like looking at everything you scan, like, like, I'm not gonna steal anything, dude.
SPEAKER_00I know you're doing your job, but well, the problem is there are people that are steal and or are stealing, and there's people, and I think they've with the cameras kind of eliminated this, but there were people that go in there and scan every other item or every few items, and then you've got the people who take a tag off of a banana and put it on a PC on a PC or or not a PC because they walk up with you, but the TVs.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. They scan it and they leave it.
SPEAKER_00I don't want to expose them, but I know some people in my family that have just straight up walked out of Walmart with TVs.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I I would never do them. What were you doing?
SPEAKER_00But it's like these scanners, they're they're beepers and they go off on certain items. And I think if they just went off on everything, which I don't know how they would do that, probably negate a lot of stealing. But I think we talked about Target, they're not even allowed to stop them.
SPEAKER_01Well, they have a they have a strike policy. They use facial recognition. Yeah, and if you have about though, if you have yeah, if you have so many strikes, they it blocks because it scans your face, and when you go up to it, it'll shut the machine down and you can't buy nothing.
SPEAKER_00Well, I want can you still go to a checker outer and buy it with money?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Wait, weren't we dissing Walmart like on one of the first ones? Because they put like Hillary Clinton in the in Walmart or or am I tripping? I think you're tripping.
SPEAKER_01You're way out of line.
SPEAKER_02Somebody was talking about on the internet then. I I know I heard somebody talking about Walmart how they I bet Hillary Clinton. Wasn't Liam talking about that? I swear Liam was talking about that. Maybe not.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. We'll have to get him on here and ask them about it.
SPEAKER_01Next episode. No, better yet. Have you seen the receipt method? What's that?
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, that's where they wait outside of Walmart or Target or wherever. Wait for a person like coming out with like a TV or something.
SPEAKER_01And they'll take the receipt.
SPEAKER_00They'll take the receipt and go retract. No, they'll grab the TV and then walk out with it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, be like, oh, it's on my receipt, and they'll show it to them. They like, or they take it up, they take the TV and the receipt to the front and they say, I'm gonna return this. Yeah, that's what I was about to get money. Yeah, then they just get straight.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I seen a guy do that at a freaking Home Depot with a it's like a leaf blower or something like that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01No, that that I don't know you're talking about. He Home Depot will have stuff not actually listed in stores. Yeah, no, I'm not and they everything's listed as a penny because it doesn't actually exist.
SPEAKER_02Well, I know what that is, but I'm talking about one dude literally asked a guy for his receipt.
SPEAKER_00I've seen what you're talking about.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and they gave him like a hundred and some dollars or it's a funny video.
SPEAKER_00I'd say these videos go viral because they're funny, and it's like, oh, that's funny. Anyone could do that. Yeah. But it's against the law and it's not right.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Now, if I was less than fortunate, I would for sure take advantage of these strategies.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00100%.
SPEAKER_02Well, actually, no, you probably get exposed easy if you're homeless.
SPEAKER_00But like if you were Dude, if I saw a guy buy a lawnmower at Walmart and walk out, I'd for sure ask him for his receipt if I had no money.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Dude.
SPEAKER_00But anyway. How about uh I'm sorry, Walmart. I'm sorry, Target. You guys are great. All right. Gotta have it. Gotta have you. Uh but you for real need to turn on your self-checkouts because every time I'm standing in a line of self-checkouts and I'm looking at seven machines that are just off, I'm like, why?
SPEAKER_02Why couldn't I just go over there and scan these? And then they got a whole section for Walmart Plus members, which is cool, I guess.
SPEAKER_00But I only pay a subscription to Sam's. Why do I gotta pay another subscription to the same company?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah. Dude.
SPEAKER_00Which I do to get deliveries.
SPEAKER_02Fun fact, I actually have your Sam's card in my wallet right now. That's cool. You can hold on to it.
SPEAKER_00Um UFC Freedom 250.
SPEAKER_02Dude, I was just about to bring that up.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_02First things first, before you say anything, have you seen the people that are like when Justin Gagey got his hand raised and his hand wraps showing in his glove, people are like, oh, he had stuff in his gloves, and then there's conspiracies about it being all scripted.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, dude, white stuff coming out of his thumb?
SPEAKER_02No, so like right where his hand was, like when his glove wraps, there his hand wraps sticking out and it's like gold kind of, and people are like zooming in on that and taking it like, oh, he had stuff in his glove. It looked poor got his ass whooped, bro.
SPEAKER_00There was a lot of people saying he probably had something in his glove. But it was his hand wrap, dude. But listen, Justin Gagey is a monster. Exactly. If if if you've watched any of his wins that went to decision or he knocked someone out, their face was not the same as when they started. It's like Patty. I will say this Justin Gagey might be the best fighter to cover up eye pokes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. He did it to Patty, but Patty kept going.
SPEAKER_00He got Ilya Taporia's, I think it was his right eye. Yeah. With his I think it was his left hand, was it his left hand? It was, I think it was his right hand. And he was aiming for the middle, but he got to flick it. Taporia missed his, it was like this. Yeah. Because I don't I think he got a warning for the patty fight, but he eye poked paddy like four times or twice.
SPEAKER_02He got a warning. He got a warning twice, but he did it. But anyways, the thing is like Taporia, if it was that big of a problem, he would have eye poked didn't win him to fight. He would have addressed it. Dude, he was beating him up, dude. His uh both his eyes were shut, closed almost. The fight should have even been stopped soon. He pulled him after the third round. He's like, listen.
SPEAKER_00I can't see.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And then he they made him go. The doctor.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the doctor, I thought it was done. I thought, yeah, I thought when the doctor walked over there, he's complaining he can't see. It should have been stopped there.
SPEAKER_02Rogan and DC were like, oh, the fight's over.
SPEAKER_00But he was saying he could fight on. Now, I do think at the same time, if a fighter's saying they can fight, let him fight. But I don't know. Dude, you've got a someone who is potentially worth hundreds of millions for your industry. You don't want him to be eye-less. Look at Tom Aspinall.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Is he even going to fight again?
SPEAKER_02Do you see that meme where it was like Has he said if he's going to fight again? Uh I think he, yeah, I think he's supposed to fight again. Well, because if not, they're going to strip him of the belt.
SPEAKER_01Like, you know he said uh Cyril Gahn said uh he had he called and said he'd fight him in Paris, and Tom Aspinall made a video and said he would.
SPEAKER_02Well, did you see that thing? And it was like Tom Aspinall wearing uh it was a freaking it was like uh what are those a head thing like headgear and then he was wearing goggles and it was like Tom Aspinall gonna fight Cyril Gone and it was headgear?
SPEAKER_00His eyesight will never be the same. I know. And if they fixed it, his eyesight will decline way faster than any normal person. Wasn't it Cyril Gone that did that to his eyeball? Yeah. But he's a dirty fighter, bro. Did you see Alex Pereira's head? I'm telling you, dude, if you watch that in slow motion, which listen, I didn't care who won that fight.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, me neither.
SPEAKER_00I didn't care if Alex Pereira won. I had my parlay on Alex Pereira, but as I got closer to the file, I was like, man, Sirogon might do it. He's fought at this weight, he's super fast, yeah, and he's he's a good fighter. But he is a little bit dirty.
SPEAKER_02I feel like Alex Pereira probably should have like worked his way up to Sirogon and heavyweight because he just put on so much weight.
SPEAKER_00Alex Pereira looked fat. And and he was so slow. I can't say anything, but Alex Pereira compared to what he usually looks like cutting weight. And he's usually way faster than that, dude. He looked fat. And he looked like a snail. Like he but so did John, so did John Jones when he fought Cyril Gaunt. John Jones was a big guy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he looked fat. But John Jones is just a different guy, dude.
SPEAKER_00I don't I don't know that anyone could beat him. I mean, he's getting older, but I don't care.
SPEAKER_02I think Josh Hogitt should have. If he fights a little bit more experienced guys and works his way up to Cyril Gunn, like because I mean he beat Derek Lewis, but Derek Lewis has been basically needed to be retired for three fights in a row. He's so gassed.
SPEAKER_00They keep giving him money, though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but he did just fight that one dude. Uh one of his other fights. Well, he beat Curtis Blades, and that was a brawl. Curtis Blades is not an easy guy to beat. I mean, Curtis Blades, he beat uh was it Cyril Gunn or Tom Astrodon? He beat one of them and then they rematched and then he lost. But my point is it's Curtis Blades is a is still kind of decently in his prime. Like Curtis Blades is an animal, and he just destroyed Curtis Blades. Curtis Blades also kind of beat him up a little bit too.
SPEAKER_00But I mean, look at Derek Lewis's stats. He's the scariest fighter in the UFC.
SPEAKER_02He has the most knockouts in UFC history and also the most knockout losses now.
SPEAKER_00The thing about him is he may be way slower and way stiffer, but if he connects a hard one on you, bye-bye.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude. Well, when he beat when he knocked out Curtis Blades, Curtis Blades was defending and he hit him with an uppercut and just stars over. You're seeing cars by that guy.
SPEAKER_00Uh who else was there?
SPEAKER_02Diego Lopez. It was a freaking scrap, and then he just all of a sudden knocked the dude out because he likes the scrap, bro.
SPEAKER_00He was a good one. I liked that one. Uh Sean O'Malley, Sean O'Malley. That was Chano Malley's knockout was nasty. I don't know why. When I watch the video of the knockout, the second punch doesn't look like it connects.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_00Dude, I watched it to me.
SPEAKER_02I don't know like 17 times. Well, the thing is, is okay. Some people were saying he stopped it early, but okay, he hits him with the early early. I don't think they stopped. He hit him with a one-two. He's going down. He hits him with a one-two again. He falls over, and then he goes to get back up and falls over again.
SPEAKER_00Like he's done. Maybe the videos I'm seeing are misleading. But that second shot, I don't think that's what like it looks like that's what put him out, but I don't know that it was. I think the first shot rocked him. He fell, and then he was like, Oh god. So I'm going down.
SPEAKER_02So he won two, like he hits him with a hard one, and then he's like, decide he's still in there, and then he hits him again, and he's starting to fall, but then he's like, Oh, he's not done. So he goes bam, bam! Yeah, then he's done.
SPEAKER_00But the one where he's already falling and he hits him with that right overhand. Yep, for some reason, I don't know, it just doesn't look like it connects, but maybe part of his glove does. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02He probably at least knuckle shaved. He was already pretty much lights out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, it was great. It wasn't stopped early. He as soon as he started to get back up, he fell right back down.
SPEAKER_02And then Bo Nickel, dude, he's a freaking NCA double eight freaking champion. Like, what is it, twice or something like that? And he didn't even wrestle, dude. He just beat the crap out of that dude. Bo Nickel's a good fighter. He could strike. He that was a good fight for him. He showed that he could strike too.
SPEAKER_00He fight Kyle Dawkins.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02He showed that he can he can bot he can.
SPEAKER_00Whenever they were doing the the fighter announcements for them coming out, I was like, poor Kyle.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, dude, Bo Nickel.
SPEAKER_00Kyle, he's got one lock.
SPEAKER_02He's an animal. Did you know that uh he Bo Nickel beat Josh Hockett in NCAA or Josh Hokett in the champ in the championship? Like what they fought in college, yeah, he beat him in a wrestling match. And then Josh went to be an NFL practice team fullback or D line or lineman or whatever, and then goes to the UFC and he's just a dog, bro. And the whole thing, I don't know if we can talk about like his speech, what he said.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we can talk about that.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so he said he said most which I don't care, but he said Michelle Obama is a man. Okay, first of all, it's just like WWE, okay, he's kind of got a WWE personality, okay? Like he can, he's saying whatever he wants. Like that's his profile. Like Connor McGregor is almost the exact same way, except for Josh Hogan takes a little bit step further. But here's the thing when when people were freaking out on him after that, you know what he said? He's like, okay, how is it okay? How is it not okay for me to say Michelle Obama's a man? But it's okay for people to say that it's okay that like Charlie Kirk got murdered and they were happy about it.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. And you know what? It's a great marketing strategy. Yeah, you can't you're on the biggest stage in the world. You're in the White House lawn. What are the three things that are gonna be most memorable about that? That that whole event. One of the things about what you say the fact that it was on the White House lawn, Justin Gagey winning six to one odds, yeah, and Josh Hokett saying Michelle Obama's a man. That was badass when I got one, my dude. Now every single time he fights, and you see his name on a card, even if you're not a big watcher, you're gonna be like, that's the guy who said Michelle Obama's a man.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, then you're gonna want to see what he says again after that. Yes. Everybody now knows who Josh knows who Josh Hokett is. Well, when he beat that military dude in the prelims uh before he fought Curtis Blades, is a I mean he was a big dude, big, huge ex-military dude. He said Brittany Greiner's a man, and now he's saying Michelle Obama too. Oh yeah, dude.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Bro, see you should see that clip. You should see that clip of KD next to Britney Greiner being all like free with him. He was like, Yeah.
SPEAKER_00It's so funny, Brittany. Yeah. That's the scam, dude. Being able to be in a women's sport as a guy, and all you gotta do is say you're trans. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's so messed up. Well, hey, who do you think who do you think is the father to Alana Rhodes's baby? It's an NBA player, we know that. She said that. But some people have it confirmed, but I don't know. Some people are saying it's Blake Griffin.
SPEAKER_00That kid looked like Blake Griff Griffin.
SPEAKER_02But but it's like partially well, it's Blake Griffin is is mixed. But I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Can he say the N-word?
unknownHuh?
SPEAKER_02Can he say the N-word? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He can say he said it on podcast and stuff. Okay. He just tries not to, because he is half black, but he looks more mixed now than he did like Clippers era. Well, because he had a lot of freckles like when he was younger on his face, and he looked like a white guy.
SPEAKER_00When he was in the Clippers era, like I thought he was just white.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, me too. But he's mixed, he's actually mixed. Interesting. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Hmm.
SPEAKER_02But I don't know.
SPEAKER_00I mean was that racist that I asked if he could say the N-word?
SPEAKER_02No, no, no. Because because because I mean you're not saying it.
SPEAKER_00So I'm just asking how black is he?
SPEAKER_02Well, that's hey, he somebody could ask how white you are, and it's no big deal. I'm pretty dang white. What's up with the uh Ireland thing that's going on? Like, have you seen the whole Ireland thing? Ireland. Ireland. You know what I'm talking about, Levi? They're like, I don't know the full story on it, which you might have to look it up, but there's like a there's like people putting I stand with Ireland on I guess they're like holding people hostage in houses and migrating. I don't know. It's like a whole big deal. Like, I don't know the whole story. I wish I would have paid attention to it yesterday when they were talking about it. Some guys at work were talking about it, but I don't know. There's like people going in houses and trying to take over Ireland that are like completely from a different country. I don't know. It's it's like a big whole deal.
SPEAKER_00Is it like an immigration deal?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, kind of like that. I don't know. There's like there's like I can't say the word.
SPEAKER_00Let's bring that up.
SPEAKER_02I can't say the word.
SPEAKER_00Someone on Ireland right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I can't say the word, but there's like sexually assaulting and stuff going on. It's kind of like what's happening here with the immigrants, but it's a little different. They're trying to I don't know. It's it's I don't know the whole thing, but I just heard about it. It's actually like pretty hot right now.
SPEAKER_00I've not heard about that, but you know what? Uh if it is an immigration thing, we'll find out. Listen. I am for immigration. Legally.
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_00Legal immigration. Are there things that can be done, and I'm talking about the US here, to make it easier to get legal? 100%. Yeah. I know people I guess I shouldn't say people, I know of a person who it took them seven years to get legal.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, dude. But you know what's crazy about that? How I don't know, maybe this is different. So we were talking about the UFC earlier. Well, how is it so easy for those guys to get their visa? But it's like, is it just because they're professional athletes or so it it do they just do a quick background check on them and here you go?
SPEAKER_00Yes. They I think they background check you. You gotta have a passport, gotta have an ID, and you gotta have proof of uh the job, I believe.
SPEAKER_02Yep, immigration right there. Ireland is in the middle of a political and social backlash over immigration, and the government has recently started tightening asylum and family rein re reunification rules. The main drivers are a housing storage, strain on public services, rec record or near record asylum applications, and growing anti-immigration. Ireland has been dealing with rapid population growth and sharp rise in asylum claims, which government ministers say is overwhelming housing and supporting systems.
SPEAKER_00So ask us specifically is there a problem with the immigrants or with the the It says people coming in.
SPEAKER_02It says they're pushing higher on border patrol. It's kind of like what's going on here, but like Okay, so I don't know about Ireland.
SPEAKER_00I know the U.S.
SPEAKER_01right here. It says in plain English, the situation is basically this. Ireland still needs migrants for work and demographic reasons, but the pace of arrivals and asylum claims has created a political crisis around housing, public service, and national identity. So the country is not closing immigration, but it's clearly moving toward a more restrictive and enforcement focused policy.
SPEAKER_00So their problem is they need immigrants for work, as we do too. They need them, but they're coming in too quick, and there's not enough houses. That's per the Guardian. I don't even know how in BBC. I don't even know how big Ireland is. So they're getting more people coming in and they have space to house them.
SPEAKER_02Well, you just need to call Conor McGregor. He needs to just give him some money to build some houses.
SPEAKER_00This is the best immigration.
SPEAKER_02Dude, he was really running for was it governor or mayor or something in Ireland? Or president? Oh, whatever. That was fake. No, I think he was actually running. I'm pretty sure he was actually running.
SPEAKER_00How did he not win?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. I'm pretty sure he's actually running, though.
SPEAKER_00Is he not like the most famous Irish person?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm oh 1000%. I mean, besides Ian Gary, which isn't even close, but I don't even know who that is. So he's spite-he's getting ready to fight Islam, dude. He's like 6'3 and Islam's like 5'10, dude. It's gonna be an insane fight. It's a it's uh I guess. I don't know. Is it it's is it an international fight week? No. I keep up with the UFC enough to kind of know like who's at the top. There's no way McGregor doesn't destroy Max Holloway, by the way. There's just no way. Dude, the dude is jacked now.
SPEAKER_00But he looks so they're fighting at 170, aren't they?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, in 175, but he's so big. Or it's 170, I think. I think it's 170. He's so big. Dude, it doesn't matter, dude. You cannot take away striking from a guy that has literally, even since he hasn't fought in the UFC, every day he's training, every day he's making money moves, boss moves, and training, mostly training. But but I do agree with you, but he already beat him once.
SPEAKER_00That was one of Max Holloway's first fights in the UFC.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, but Connor McGregor also wasn't even that big.
SPEAKER_00How much better has Max Holloway gotten since that fight?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, I get it. And he can he can brawl. And he's been active. Dude, I think he's dreaming too much. Not gonna lie. I don't know. We'll see.
SPEAKER_00I think I think it'll either be one of them knocks each other out right away. Or I think it'll go decision.
SPEAKER_02I'm a huge okay, John Jones is obviously the GOAT. And he's he's my number well, okay. Him and Connor McGregor are tied for my number one to go. Just because Connor McGregor was the first double champ, and John Jones was the youngest champion ever, and they their stories are just insane. Like they beat all stories, like by far. Okay, is Ilya Taporia is up there, but then he just got destroyed by Justin Gagey.
SPEAKER_00You've got Connor above Kabib and George of St. Pierre.
SPEAKER_02Okay, well, for me, my goats, like your favorites, yeah. But but Kabib, obviously, 29 and oh, historical, probably the best record ever. Not gonna lie. He's insane. I don't think anyone will do it again. Well, no, but here's the thing. Kabib trained with bears at 12 years old, like wrestling straight up bears. Like, no joke. I mean, that was probably unheard of for bear cubs. Yeah, yeah. Let's put that out there. Yeah, I'm not gonna say he wrestles with bears. Yeah, no, here's the thing, dude. I mean, I'm not saying that's just what got him where he's at, but I'm just saying, like, Kabib is just a whole different animal. And he wrestles.
SPEAKER_00Their level of drive to succeed is insane.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and they're honored for it in their country, like very highly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's like we either win this or we're just you know, or you're cracked, yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_02And Islam is also from the same place, and he's isn't he cousins with Khibib or something like that? I don't know. I think they'll train together in Dagestan. Either way, Islam is right there with him, like he's insane too. He's and they're known for the wrestling, and they can strike a little bit. I'm not gonna lie.
SPEAKER_00That fight with two fights, Kabib versus McGregor, and Khibib versus Justin Gagey. Yeah, he's throwing hands.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he was, and he can, but I'm just saying, you take out the wrestling and the Mc McGregor and Khib fight, I think it would have been leaning a little towards more McGregor. But Kabib is also an animal and he's undefeated, so you can't really say that.
SPEAKER_00He only had one belt, too.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but Connor had two. And you know why he got stripped? Justin Gage, he's the first to have four. Yeah, but you know why Connor McGregor got stripped? Yeah, but not all at the same time.
SPEAKER_00Why did Connor McGregor get stripped?
SPEAKER_02So he had the featherweight championship, and then he had the lightweight championship. Well, he went flawed Floyd Mayweather in that boxing match, so they stripped him. But he was like, Dana White knew, like, they were like he was.
SPEAKER_00He was okay with it though, because he got a bag off the back fight.
SPEAKER_02He they stripped him of his title. But here's the thing, Tom Aspinall, okay, yes, I get he got poked in the eyes. But he, you know how long he's been holding on to his belt, dude? Just how long has it been? When was the yeah? It's been almost a year. There's no way. But they they gave him like, okay, you got the eye surgery, so you're gonna hold on to it. But dude, I don't know. I just don't like I get it. Conor McGregor did a promotion, so he got stripped, I get it, and then now but there's just so many times where guys are just out for so long and they hold the title, so they do the interim thing, and I don't know. I get it, I guess. Who's the current heavyweight? Tom Aspenall's a heavyweight champion. Who's the interim? Who's the Searle? Yeah, he just won it against Pereira. That was the second title fight. October 25th.
SPEAKER_00So would you rather Searle get the belt?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER_00Like the strip Tom, give it to Searle to the game.
SPEAKER_02Okay, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I think it's a good thing.
SPEAKER_00That's the next move.
SPEAKER_02Well I think he should fight him and get it, yes. But I'm just and I know I just said that he I'm not saying he should be stripped, but I just don't get the whole like just because Connor did another promotion, why did he get stripped? Like Well, I would like to see them do is strip him of the belt. Uh-huh. And then make him fight Sarah Gonzalez.
SPEAKER_00And say, hey, there's no champion right now. Yeah. We have an interim champion. If Tom Aspinall is able to come back, he will fight Searle for the belt. And whoever wins gets the belt.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And also, I guess the interim. Well, no, they would just redo the interim title after that.
SPEAKER_00They would then let someone else fight Searle for the interim.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That would be sick. But Dana White knows what he's doing, bro.
SPEAKER_00Like, I so no, they wouldn't even have an interim, because doesn't that just mean they were champion while main champion's away? So yeah, so so if if Paul Astonwell came back and won, he would have the championship belt and Searle would no longer be the interim champion.
SPEAKER_02Yes, they reset, they reset the interim. So that way there can be another interim.
SPEAKER_00Interim champion is like he this guy's the champion while the champion's away.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, so basically the interim is to set up a title fight. So like they used to do just like number one, number two ranked, gets to fight for the title after they win so many fights, but now it's like you fight for the interim and then you get to fight for the champion.
SPEAKER_01That's not true either. The interim is because if the guy might have a chance to be stripped, like Justin Ganshe was the interim because Ilya might have got stripped because they weren't sure when he's gonna come back because of his divorce.
SPEAKER_02So is that what happened?
SPEAKER_01They were scraped. Ilya didn't know what interim means.
SPEAKER_00Interim is like temporary.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. I was wrong. Yeah, because Ilya Ilya's fight was like a year.
SPEAKER_02That's not true because Diego Lopez was ranked like top five, and he just fought Volk and there was no interim. Okay, so ranked two whenever he fought Volk, and he wasn't interim champion.
SPEAKER_01It's just like whoever that guy fighting Islam, he's not he's not interim. Oh yeah, Ian Gary, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's just I was it's you have an interim champion while the champion isn't there.
SPEAKER_02So you're just basically reigning until the other guy.
SPEAKER_01Justin Genji would have instantly became a okay.
SPEAKER_02So I see.
SPEAKER_01He probably would have fought somebody else.
SPEAKER_02I just I never really looked into it. I just depends. Yeah, I get it. I I'm a big UFC guy, but I just I don't know.
SPEAKER_01I just interim thing is new. It's like it only lasts like three or four years or something like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what I thought.
SPEAKER_01And that's kind of stupid, dude.
SPEAKER_02Dude, I go all the way back to the freaking Shogun Rue, Latoto Macheta, uh, Chuck Lidell, all those guys. Like, dude, I I I watched that when I was young. I just never understood like the interim thing.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_00You remember UFC the game 2011 with Brock Lesnar on the title?
SPEAKER_02That game was insane, bro. I used to play that on the PlayStation, bro. Dude, that had to have been dude. I used to just do Letoto Machito for Shogun Ru all the time, and the mouth guards could get knocked out, bro.
SPEAKER_00That why don't they have that UFC? That games up there with 2K16 for me. Yeah, sports games.
SPEAKER_02Dude, have you seen UFC 6? It's insane. Have you seen it?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, flow state looks dumb.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, no. So what they just I just seen a post on it today. So what they did was is that was actually early access. Like they released the game, but it's early game. So now they're taking the game and they're editing the flow state. So they just announced it today. What they're gonna do is make it to where like the so like when you go flow state, your movements different. I don't know how to explain it, but all I know is they're they're changing the flow state. Because when you go into flow state, it's like this thing. So like I don't even know you get into flow state by like, I don't even know how you get into flow state. All I know is you get flow state. It's like a perk, kind of like takeover in 2K, you know, like you play good and you get and then like you're on fire basically for a little bit and then it goes away.
SPEAKER_01But it's like except it's extremely overpowered, right? Yeah, it's just everybody was just spamming Ilya and getting the flow state and just spamming right hook.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and you can just destroy somebody, like they could be full guard, like just guarding so heavily.
SPEAKER_01You could guard perfectly right, left, uppercut, whatever, doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you're gonna you'll get knocked out right through it.
SPEAKER_01Without inputting, just it doesn't matter. All they're doing is spamming right hooks.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so that's why they're editing it, they're changing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it just makes it overpowered because you're stronger in that flow.
SPEAKER_02So they're changing all that now.
SPEAKER_00Man, I wish UFC and 2K could do something different, dude.
SPEAKER_02No, listen. 2K14, if you go watch, I've been watching 2K14. Like, I'm literally gonna go buy another 360. I don't know why I ever got rid of mine, and just to play 2K14 or even just a regular Xbox One because, dude, 2K14, if you look at the movement, you had to actually grind so hard to be able to, and it was so much better. Well, that's just the same. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Here's every problem with 2K is first of all, you've got to have decent internet. You can play Call of Duty on pretty shit internet and still do alright. Yeah, 2K, you've got to have good internet. Yeah, delay is awful and the lag spikes are awful. Yeah. Second of all, with the way they have archetypes set up, it is way too easy to make a dude that's just not guardable.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like you can make a 6'8 shooting guard that can literally defend the crap out of you and also shoot in your face and dunk on your hand.
SPEAKER_00And then block everybody.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Where where is that in the NBA? Nowhere. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Doesn't exist. Another thing is cap breakers need to get the fuck out of the game.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00They need to leave.
SPEAKER_02You can literally get 28. You can make your guy literally so you could you could have your highest at like be a 95-3. Okay. Or you can have a you can literally have a 74 speed and get cat breakers and make it like a 90, bro. It's insane.
SPEAKER_00It's dumb. Where was I going? Then you get rid of cat breakers. I think they need to get rid of archetypes again.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. You seen a make your guy from scratch.
SPEAKER_00In 2016. So 2017 was the first game with archetypes. 2016, you just put points where you want them, and you only get so many points, so you better spend them good.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, in 2K14, you could upgrade like almost every stat in the 90s, but you had to like like there was no cap breakers, there's no archetype. Like you just build your guy. You can either be all around, balanced, whatever, three-point shooter, defender, athletic. Select your height, but it only goes to a certain height instead of like having a freaking 6'8, which there is six eight shooting guards, I guess, but I mean just not an absolutely insane. It's you had you either strive in one thing or you're like balancing all the others, but you can still get like 90s in your stats. I don't know how to explain it.
SPEAKER_00It's just well, 2K16 had mental archetypes. Meaning like you had your dribble gods, they had 99 playmaking, but other than that, everything else was like 70s, yeah, 60s. To shoot a three, they had to be wide open or come off of break breaking your ankles or something.
SPEAKER_01And that pure green window, too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Your shot was the same every time.
SPEAKER_02There's no RNG horseshit. I just don't understand why they want to change it all the time.
SPEAKER_01Like, why can't you just 2017 speed boosting?
SPEAKER_00If you just make that one nuts. If you just make one. Well, do you I'd rather have that than well, what was the last one you and I played 2K21 with glass cleaners could do everything?
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. No, now 7-1 glass cleaners that could shoot through each.
SPEAKER_00That game was atrocious. So that game, the threat you generated on defense was based off your height. Well, do you know so on a 2v2 uh my park, a 7-1 glass cleaner had max threat the the whole court. He could stand in the back corner of it, and if you were at the rim, he'd be at max threat.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Broken game.
SPEAKER_02But you know what you could do in 2K15? You could uh make a build, go online somehow, and like unplug the Ethernet cable out of your router, and then you could plug it back in, like unplug your Xbox from the power cord, plug it back in, and then your guy would be a 60 overall, but he would literally like you it would say 60 on every stat, but it would be actually 99. It's called a demigod. Literally, you could just unplug your internet and make a 60 look like a 60, it would be 99.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't know. I wish they they need to go back. First of all, listen here. I I don't know that I'll ever play a mainstream multiplayer game again if they don't figure out how to get rid of cheaters on a computer.
SPEAKER_02There's no dude, like, okay, so Battlefield, when it came out, they had like already deleted, like they already got rid of like a hundred thousand cheaters within like the first month of the game. I I don't know what they do. Like, I'm sure there's still cheaters, but and like I don't know how you can't there's no way you can't keep cheaters out of the game. There's just no way. There's just no way. Like, how is it that hard?
SPEAKER_00Just 100% away. Listen, Call of Duty doesn't ban cheaters like they say they do because over half of their player base is cheating.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_00Rust Pace Punch came out and said, I can't remember the number, but I think it was one in three accounts on computer Rust will eventually or have cheats on their account. Oh my bad. One in three. If that was the right number, I don't remember. I remember the number the number being absurd. It might be a little less than that, but even if it's one in a hundred, that's insane. Then Call of Duty, if you play ranked and you get higher than platinum, you're getting a cheater at least in every other game.
SPEAKER_02Dude, I literally I played uh Black Ops was it Black Ops 7 that was before the one that just came out?
SPEAKER_00No, Black Ops 7's right now. Before it's Black Ops 6.
SPEAKER_02So me and Hunter used to play that a lot, and we never played ranked, and then he told me he played ranked, and he's like, You don't want to do it. So I was able to play ranked and I was like, okay, let's play ranked. First game we go into, absolutely obliterated, getting shot across the map through walls, like the dumbest crap ever, dude. The dumbest stuff. Like it's stupid. And we couldn't figure out why we couldn't get matches in ranked. It's because nobody wants to play it because it's terrible. Like everyone's cheating.
SPEAKER_00Is that Black Ops 6?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Dude, the first month of Black Ops 6 was dope. Okay. Excuse me. And I think most of these calls, like I think here's the deal. There's Call of Duty's that are bad because they're bad. And then there's Call of Duty that are bad because it's plagued with cheaters. Black Ops 6 was bad because it was plagued with cheaters. Black Ops 6 was a good game.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I I like just going to be.
SPEAKER_00I didn't mind the Omni movement.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00The guns were fun. The gunplay was good. But I'd say about two months in, I think I was I was diamond, whatever the first diamond rank is. And then my buddy Isaac was the top rank of Diamond, about to go into the next one. Doesn't it start at three and go to one? Maybe. Or one to three? I don't remember. No, I'm pretty sure it was three to one. Maybe I was Diamond Diamond Three and he was Diamond 1. I don't know. He was Diamond 1 because he found a cheater to play with. It never got banned. We were the same rank. Didn't they come out with like an AI thing?
SPEAKER_02Like if you said to figure out if you were cheating? No, like with the chat. It was in one of the Call of Duty's where like Well, the AI would read your voice method. You get banned. Yes, that's still a thing. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I believe.
SPEAKER_02But how is that a thing but like cheating?
SPEAKER_00You can't just dude. If anyone played Black Ops 2 the original or the original Modern Warfare 2 and 3 the chats were diabolical.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Did did you see where they're uh dang, dude? I lost my.
SPEAKER_00I've never heard so many slurs in my life than on Black Ops 2.
SPEAKER_02Oh, they're putting Black Ops 2 on the new Xbox and PS5 now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't think it's gonna get played.
SPEAKER_02No, probably not, but I mean dude, it that's still cool.
SPEAKER_00It it's cool, but it's like it's already backwards compatible. What's the point in it?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Black Ops or Call of Duty I I think they just hate money. You think so? I really do. I really think they hate money. Well when did it start going downhill?
SPEAKER_02When did when did Call of Duty start going downhill?
SPEAKER_00Like what part of it? Like the games being bad or the cheaters? Just everything. Didn't like Call of Duty started going downhill and Call of Duty Ghosts. Which is the one after Black Ops 2. Yeah, that's when it started.
SPEAKER_02I know that game wasn't even that great. I mean, I thought it was alright for a minute. That's when it started. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00That game wasn't horrible.
SPEAKER_02Infinite Warfare. Dude, that was trash.
SPEAKER_00I think that's where it started. Yeah, dude, you could freaking didn't.
SPEAKER_02You had like the jetpack thing.
SPEAKER_00You could double jump and but like I guess you had Advanced Warfare after that, which I think was good. Advanced Warfare, and then they went to Infinite Warfare. Infinite Warfare was bad.
SPEAKER_01And then they had Black Ops 3. And then Black Ops 3 brought it back. I didn't like it.
SPEAKER_00I'll say this. After Black Ops 2, I think every other game was trash.
SPEAKER_01Dude, Advanced Warfare, you could double jump. Black Ops 4 was not good. Blackout was okay.
SPEAKER_00The competitive scene loved Black Ops 4, dude. I played like four matches of multiplayer Black Ops 4, and I thought it was garbage.
SPEAKER_01I did not like it. And then uh then they came out with Modern Warfare 2019.
SPEAKER_00Was that after Black Ops 4? I think so. Yeah, it was. It was Blackout and then Warzone.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because they today because they changed to Warzone.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I thought Modern Warfare 2019 was atrocious. First Warzone 2019, Verdansk was at the peak. It was good. It was good.
SPEAKER_00The ICR meta was where it was good.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but the they but like they I swear after they got rid of Verdansk, yeah. It all went downhill.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Dude, yeah. Did you guys like in elementary or middle school when Black Ops One was a thing? Did you so like for me, like my dad would be playing with his buddies online and I wanted to play with them, but I knew I was trash, like I never played the game. So after school, I would go to like the training camp and just play against bots and put it on the hardest level, and I would just get like 700-800 kills. I put it on like unlimited score and unlimited time, and I would just destroy like I would get I would get to the point where I was just so good. Like I'd get 700 to 800 kills a day after school, and that way I would be able to play with my dad, like and his friends. So that way I could actually be good.
SPEAKER_00I started off sniping.
SPEAKER_02Really?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like was it because like you watch phase and stuff?
SPEAKER_00Spawn trapping Black Ops 2. I I wasn't as much of a spawn trapper as I was just like a regular sniper, like Pomage.
SPEAKER_02Ground game.
SPEAKER_00Ground game.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I just love throwing tomahawks across the map as soon as you spawn in and just deny.
SPEAKER_00Like I was I was in I was in a sniper clan.
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00Okay. And we did clan wars.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
unknownOh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's a big thing.
SPEAKER_00And I shot all over everybody. Yeah. My problem was I was on PS3. So I couldn't play with any of the homies that were also sniping. What was the best sniper in Black Ops 2? The ballista. Yeah. Pre-patch.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Pre-patch DC.
SPEAKER_00For quick scoping be the ballista for sure.
SPEAKER_01Pre-patch DSR.
SPEAKER_00Pre-patch DSR. Maybe you hit someone in the toes and kill them.
SPEAKER_02You guys ever played uh insurgency sandstorm? Guys ever played Insurgency Sandstorm? Yeah, dude. Alex. Nah, dude, dude. I'm telling you, bro. You put your head. No, listen, listen. Well, we could disagree. Just hear me out. Just hear me out, okay? Because I play this like probably a couple times a week, just randomly. I put my headphones on max volume. Okay. There's no indicators or nothing. Grenade flying. You don't even know. You have to listen. You don't, you can't. If some guy is like let prone down with a sniper across the map or like an LMG, you cannot see him. You could just be like spawn in. And when people die, they freaking scream at the top of their lungs. Like if you put your headset on max volume and you're playing with your buddy and you're just playing multiplayer domination or whatever. Dude, I'm not kidding. It gives you like minor PTSD. Like I swear, dude, it's it's insane. Like I think I don't like.
SPEAKER_00Battlefield in that game in like other shooters as much anymore because I've played squad which is it's like hell at loose, but it's for like nerds. Uh-huh. Squad is like it's a I think it's 50 on 50 or 40 on 40 that hell at loose is, but it's it takes some serious strategy to win. The combat is very realistic. But the tanking, the the the tank commanding, and just the actual tanks themselves, better than hell at loose.
SPEAKER_02Did you ever play Chivalry 2?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Dude, that game was dope.
SPEAKER_00It makes me rage.
SPEAKER_02Dude, I know, but on computer. Dude, I love that game, dude.
SPEAKER_00Dude, people on computer are frame perfect in that game.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but have you seen the videos of the dudes and it's like two real guys? Because sometimes there's bots.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But if it's two real guys that are just freaking decked out, like they've been playing the game forever against this one dude, and he's on PC. He's like, when they think that they can just destroy me and he destroys both of them.
SPEAKER_00Dude, they're frame perfect. I think I think Chivalry 2 might have the best reaction time players of all time.
SPEAKER_02Dude, it's that game is insane. I like it. I think it's sick.
SPEAKER_00There are dudes that you cannot hit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Dude, they like when they block with their shield, like perfect timing and well, and I know for each like class you have a certain method of defending and attacking another class.
SPEAKER_00Different weapons. I think they just memorize what to do with each movement. Then as soon as it happens, oh I'm there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I don't know, dude. But sometimes I love this game. I love playing that game of Prince, but it's so hard. Even some of the bots are difficult to kill. Like, I'm not, I mean, like they can't.
SPEAKER_00Oh, for sure, they can be. Yeah. But dude, running running in on chivalry too and battle crying when you have 50 other bots around you, like four other real people in front of you. It's like it's fun.
SPEAKER_02It's a good game. Yeah. And you can blow the horn and heal your teammates. Yeah. Sick. Yeah. I've been playing Hella Loose. Yeah, me too. I just started playing it like a couple days. It's a fun game. Dude, it's sick. But the brand new.
SPEAKER_00It's so long. So long.
SPEAKER_02You start out in a brand new game.
SPEAKER_00Oh, dude. Yeah. I think, yeah, you can go for like an hour and a half, two hours.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, two hours is the max, I think. Dude, it didn't. Isn't it like 30 minutes per uh objective or whatever? Per takeover or whatever. I think at the beginning it's like an hour.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Well, that's offensive. I think it's 30 minutes. On warfare, you've got like the total time of the game that takes down. It starts like two and a half or two hours. But then if they And just where whoever has the most land wins.
SPEAKER_02That's the mode I like. Dude, I like that there's different countries. Like, I like how there's so many different variations and like different like helmets, and I like all everything about it, dude. You gotta level up to get different guns and they're coming out with Vietnam. Yeah, I know, dude. Uh that's coming out soon.
SPEAKER_00It's out.
SPEAKER_02It's out, it's out already. It just came out. Dude, I'm buying that tonight, bro. I'm not capping. Dang.
SPEAKER_00You might have to convince Isaac to buy that for me.
SPEAKER_02Bro, I might buy it for me. I'm dead serious. Dang. I got gamepads, so it'll be cheaper for me, but I can I'll hook you up, dude. That's that's awesome. Dude, I'll hook you up. Because the wife said since I quit, you know. The wife said I can spend as much money on video games as I want, dude. Straight up.
SPEAKER_00Anyways, New York Knicks.
SPEAKER_02Jalen Brunson.
SPEAKER_00Dude is a hoss.
SPEAKER_02Dude, they had a Jalen Brunson look like I didn't watch any of the games. I'll just say that right now. I'm telling you, bro. Okay, so he played for the Mavericks for the longest time, for like two or three years, maybe four years. And then he got traded to the Knicks, which was a huge flaw for the Mavericks. Just like how they had Luca and traded him for freaking Andrew and Anthony Davis every week. Big flaw. That guy got fired, I'm pretty sure. The manager or whatever. Nico Harris or whatever. Anyways, Jalen Brunson came, dude, he can score, and when it's clutch time, he he's your guy. And his whole team, Carl Anthony Towns, literally, okay, Chuck Holmgren looked like a baby bag bleep when they play when the Spurs played the Thunder last game. I know. But I like Chuck Holmgren because I'm a huge OKC fan. And when Liam's here, he'll tell you all about it. But he's gonna develop. He's still got he's young. Well, anyways, Kat and he he he played so much better. Chad Holmgren should have played how Kat played. Kat is just such a versatile guy, like he can hit the three, get inside. But just Jalen Brunson, what makes him even better, not because he could have a bad shooting night, but he his whole team is just so good. His whole team is just so good, dude. They had the highest point differential in in NBA playoff history. It was like plus 200 something. It was insane, dude. Like their their whole team, it's not just Jalen Brunson, but he's a great leader. Great leader. Uh Jordan Clarkson is on their team, and he he's always been a solid role player off the bench.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Like he went to the Eastern Conference Finals with LeBron on the Cavs. Uh he played uh with Kobe actually in his early years, like when Kobe's about to retire. I'm sure he got a lot of mentoring from Kobe or whatever, but he he's actually from Mizzou. He actually's from Mizzou. He's the first Mizzou player to ever win an NBA championship. Nice. But Jalen Brunson had 47 in the night they won the finals.
SPEAKER_00Do you think it's gonna be the same teams next year?
SPEAKER_02Well, here's a hot take. Uh actually, some some NBA analyst was talking about the other day. The best team didn't win the NBA championship. And I'm not saying this because I'm an OKC fan, but OKC had Jalen is the best team on the books. Best team is the best team in the world. They had Jalen Williams out, not J Dub, not their other Jalen Williams out. That's their second best player.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I mean, Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams Jalen Williams was an all-star this year, along with Chet and SGA. Yeah. And AJ Mitchell was out. That both those guys produce 15 plus points a night. Okay. They're good defenders too. You take them out. And okay, see, I mean, they were up three to two at one point. In game seven, Chet Holmgren, a guy that averages like 10 and 10 a night, had four points the entire night. Shot the ball twice. And you take out 15 to 30 points of scoring from the other two guys. Yeah. I mean, they were up three too. And they didn't even have Jalen Williams. They they played him off the bench for a couple minutes because he was hurt. They didn't want him to get hurt. Even worse. I mean, it I mean, but the Knicks, I'm glad. I'm glad. It was 57 years, I think, 54 years that they hadn't won a championship. I mean, that was big for me. Long time. Long time.
SPEAKER_00I think I was I seeing videos of people like freaking out in New York.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. They were cut, they caught a bus on fire, a transit bus. Even before they won, dude, every night. They were doing it.
SPEAKER_00Every time they won, they were freaking out.
SPEAKER_02Dude, there were four stabbings the night that they won the championship and like 50 stabbing people. If you're wearing a Spurs jersey that night, you're you're dead. You're dead. You're unalived. Even even before.
SPEAKER_01When they played the Knicks' team deserved win, New York did not.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Dude, it was I don't understand. Like, even the New York players were saying, bro, that's why would you do that? Like, yeah. You're not first of all, you're not even playing basketball. You're not even the guy playing basketball. So yeah, it means a lot to you because you grew up in New York and you've been loop dealing with losing for a long time, but there's no excuse for that.
SPEAKER_00No, I knew the New York fans were crazy whenever that that viral video came out of the dude freaking out about Christoph's Porzingis getting drafted to the North to the X. That's one of the funniest videos of all time. But dude's nuts. Yeah. They needed that guy at the time. Yeah. Well, now he's on the Warriors. Who the fuck is Tingus Pingus? Yeah. Hey, he's actually That's the same guy that did the crazy cat meme. Yeah, I know. Like, Ma, look at this fucking cat.
SPEAKER_02Dude. There's some crazy bro. Those guys with the Italian or New York accents on the internet. They're instantly famous, dude. Instantly famous.
SPEAKER_00Who's that comedian that's Lil Mozzarella?
SPEAKER_02That's a guy. That's a guy on the internet.
SPEAKER_00I think he went on Kill Tony recently.
SPEAKER_02He might have. That's a guy. I've been watching that guy for like two years. He's hilarious. Hey, who's that uh black dude that just is coming to Springfield or maybe already came to Springfield? Oh, uh not Darius. Uh, what's his name? No, he's a regular on Kill Tony. Yeah, yeah. He's a super cool guy. He's actually been to Springfield before. Did you hear what he said about Bass Pro?
SPEAKER_00Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_02He's I don't know what he said. I can't remember. But he went to Bass Pro and he loved it, dude. He thought it was crazy. He says like the only thing worth it.
SPEAKER_00You can't go into Bass Pro and be displeased if you're a man.
SPEAKER_02You see the video of that dude, that that young kid. He was probably my age, like in his 20s, and he goes up to the like gun counter to buy a gun. He's like, Here, let me hold that. He's like, here, sure.
SPEAKER_03He goes, get your black ass on the ground. And they kick him out of the store. He points, he takes the gun from the guy and points at the ground. He goes, Who did that? Some some just random kid. It was just a random video.
SPEAKER_00That sounds like a little competism thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no. No, he just he just like, can I see it? And the guy at Best Pro hands him the gun. He just points at the ground.
SPEAKER_03He's like, Get your black ass on the ground. They take the gun from him and kick him out. That's awful. He's like, he's like, bro, I was just practicing. You guys talking about Cam Patterson.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, that's the dude. Cam Patterson. Dude, he's dude, he's he's sick, bro. I like listen, he's he's on SNL now. He's funny.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Who else is on SNL?
SPEAKER_00I don't think he's that funny. Wait, is that a hot take?
SPEAKER_01He's okay. You see the one? Did you see the Killatoni episode where he showed up in boots and a cowboy hat? I think I've seen the clip. They've blamed him for like five to ten minutes straight. That's fair.
SPEAKER_00That's fair. But listen, I I think that any man, I think you just have this inner thing in you instinct, if you will, that when you see guns and fishing poles and outdoor things, I think it just draws you to it. Even if you're someone that's never been in the outdoors.
SPEAKER_02Dude.
SPEAKER_00I think you see that you can just go buy a 50 caliber rifle and you go, that is manly.
SPEAKER_02Like Joe Rogan, for example. He was a city guy, he grew up in the city, and then all of a sudden he just started hunting stuff.
SPEAKER_00Or bow hunting. Yep. Like I mean he's not into into gun hunting as much.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He loves bow hunting, dude.
SPEAKER_00Uh if I ever get skinny, I'm gonna do it.
SPEAKER_02Well, you don't have to be skinny to do it.
SPEAKER_00No, like bow hunting in the outback of like New Mexico on L.
SPEAKER_02He means like he means like what joke. You gotta go in deep. Going out on hikes for miles just to kill an animal.
SPEAKER_00Steve Ronella type shit.
SPEAKER_02Like me and Levi, a guy like us, we just set up a tree stand, go get in the tree stand for it, and then just boom, dead. You know? Like I saddle hunt.
SPEAKER_00I want to I want to go on a moose hunt real bad in Alaska. And it'd be fine if we had wheelers and shit, but if I had to pack that thing out, I'd be dead.
SPEAKER_02Dude, we just gotta get your dad.
SPEAKER_01You can't pack that thing out.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Parts of it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you'd have to cut it up.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah. Dude, well, but if if like if if you're even like for me, because I'm a bigger guy, if I'm a mile away from a wheeler, and we gotta pack parts of this thing packed to the wheeler, I ain't gonna make it.
SPEAKER_02That's when you just bring me with me being real. I'll record the whole thing and then I will do all the work. Because I mean, I'm not really in shape. I guess you really just gotta be in shape. It doesn't even matter how big you are, dude. You could be in shape and be able to do it.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah. I mean, I just have to to get used to it. You just have to like you don't even have to. You don't have to be skinny to go move. But yeah, right now I don't. Right now I don't. I could probably run 10 yards.
SPEAKER_02Run on a treadmill every day for like a couple months and then you'll be ready.
SPEAKER_00Whenever I was uh in the gym, right an hour. Well, on this off soon. When I was in the gym walking and running every day on the treadmill, I could tell that every day I did it, it got a little easier.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00So I'm scared, dude.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. There's no reason really to go to the gym. Like, I mean, okay, there is a reason. I'm not saying there isn't a reason, but I'm saying like if if you got mo if you want to do something, just have a little more motivation, just go to the gym. But I mean, like, I don't know. There's I don't see a reason to go to the gym like if you're working for me, for me, I don't mind working out.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. I don't mind doing cardio. I really don't. For me, it's the time. Yeah, like I don't have a whole lot of time to go work out, dude.
SPEAKER_02It's the time it takes. Like, yeah, we're doing this right now. We have to fucking gym. So, like, when I did fiber and I lived at your house, I would literally get home at seven or eight o'clock, come home, shower, eat, and or no, I'm just drinking my protein shake and head straight to the gym. I get home at midnight, but then I gotta wake up at six o'clock again and go to work at seven.
SPEAKER_00Like, it's so tough when you have kids.
SPEAKER_02Well, that too.
SPEAKER_00And by the way, that's why we've been away for a little bit. Had another kid.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Bingo bango bumper. I'm about to have one too, but we're still gonna film. Another kid up in the Congo. We're just gonna miss a week and then I'm gonna come back.
SPEAKER_00We'll see about that.
SPEAKER_02I actually I may not even do that.
SPEAKER_00I may just have Addison bring it over and then hang out with Lily and then I'll put 50 bucks if that's not happening.
SPEAKER_02What do you mean? What do you mean? It took me longer than a week. Nah. Yeah. Nope. Yeah. Nope.
SPEAKER_00It's okay.
SPEAKER_02Oh I'm maybe two at most. We'll see. I'm telling you, bro.
SPEAKER_00We'll find out when happens.
SPEAKER_02Dude, my son's gonna be important to me, but there's no way I can't take an hour or two out of my entire You'd be surprised.
SPEAKER_00You'd be surprised. I'm done. All right. Well, Levi's done. We're done.
SPEAKER_02We gotta get a guest for the next episode.
SPEAKER_00We'll see about that. Deuces.
