Welcome to another morning in heaven, grand rising, beloved eternal God of all of living creation, my God of all things majestic, beautiful, perfect. This God that is always on time, that knows my heart. Beloved God, I come to you today with all of me to remember my identity in you. Loving God, I'm so grateful to have another opportunity on this day to walk with you and to represent your love, to unveil your mysteries and return your truth to humanity. And beloved God, I know that there is so much more for me to remember myself. That if I truly knew who I was in you, if I truly knew who you created me to be, well, I would be walking this earth, proclaiming the arrival of heaven on earth, casting out demons, healing the sick, witnessing miracles everywhere I go. But instead, God, sometimes I'm just still shrouded in confusion and fear, and I don't really know what my mission is sometimes, God. And so, beloved God, I pray that you reveal to me the missing link today. That you reveal to me because I know to you all things are simple, that there is just one link in the chain, just one puzzle piece missing. Loving God, I pray that you reveal to me what that missing piece is today. So I can walk as the creature that you have created on this earth, one that is capable of fulfilling this commission, one that is able to be a bridge between heaven and the earth. And the beautiful thing is that God has already intended to answer this prayer before we even spoken it. The theme of this morning is identity. This is the word that God has placed in my heart as I was praying over mornings in heaven. Identity. Because if we knew who we truly were, well, how powerful would we be? Welcome to Mornings in Heaven, our spiritual warfare and casting out demons series. Settle in, and let's get to it. What do you do? What do you say? I'm a mother, I'm a light worker, I'm a helper, I'm a singer. Some people can say, I'm an accountant, I'm a zookeeper. What is our identity? And I tell you the reason why this word is so important. It all begins here. You say, Z, what does this have to do with casting out demons and proclaiming victory over spiritual warfare? Well, when you know your true identity, it is the place that you receive your inheritance. And so, of course, the identity that I'm speaking to this morning is that we are children of God the Most High. Sons and daughters. In the spiritual world, we say that we are God. We're not just children of God, we are God. You see, God created this world with order, with laws. And if we do not know the heart of God, we can assume that God created laws to stay in control, to have power over the creation. But because here in the mornings of heaven, we are chasing after God's very own heart, we know that our God is a God of benevolence, of giving. And so we know that God has created laws not to control us, but to give to us, to protect us, to give us a way to access what we're meant to. Order is needed for a creation to be a certain way. Like the fact that our arms do not grow out of our head. God created us so that our arms come out of our shoulder joints so we can move them. Not because God is controlling, God created a law in our body that forces our arms to grow out of our shoulders because that would give us the best experience. When we are in right relationship with God, and we know that we are a child of God, there is humility in our heart to abide by a higher order beyond us. Now, let me ask you this. Between someone who is humble to God, who knows that they are a child of God, and someone who proclaims that they are God, who would you want to have the power to uphold a kingdom on this earth? We would choose the one that's humble to God because we don't trust a human being with rulership over everything we can and cannot see. There is only one force that can see all things, that has a heart of benevolence for all of living. And so God created this hierarchy, this order, because God wants harmony in all realms. Right? We would rather have a million humble servants who know God because we would see God's will being informed on this earth, not some random guy's will. So, because of this, God has decided to not just give us free reign to our power. It means just because we're born as a human doesn't automatically mean that we're going to receive God's power. And it makes sense because even to become a doctor, you have to study and pass your exams. Because there's a lot of responsibility that comes with being a doctor. And so, what unlocks the power in us? The power that God has invested in a human to have authority over principalities and kingdoms of darkness to stomp on scorpions. How do we unlock that power that is dormant in us? And this is where we enter into our discussion about identity. It is our right relationship with God that unlocks our power. You see, this is why we might have the spiritual ability to enter into the spirit world without being with God. But it's dangerous because what gives us power is only the Most High. We do not cast out demons, heal the sick, perform miracles by our own power, not even Jesus did. Remember when Jesus talks about his miracles, he said, Without my Father I can do nothing, and so our identity is how we orient our human self to be in relationship with the Most High. A child is infinitely innocent and joyful, a true child has no selfish agenda, a child is humble, right in reverence to their parents. So when you are in the knowing that you are a child of God, this law unlocks something which gives you authority in this world. Now, let's think about it from the perspective of spiritual warfare for a moment and think about how many levels this world goes after our identity. When you're growing up, go to school, the TV, broadcasting this mean girl sort of consciousness where we're like judging each other. And so we grow up insecure. Right? We think, oh, I'm not good enough, I'm not worthy, I'm not beautiful, I don't deserve as much goodness as other people do. This is spiritual warfare that is waged upon our children because it's inserting a consciousness that forces us to depart from our identity. When we do not know the laws that protect us and gives us power, we relinquish our power. So, how is it that we have so much insecurity in the spiritual community? Almost every light worker I talk to say, oh, I'm not worthy of my mission. I'm not powerful enough, I'm not important. It's because the enemy is going after our identity. Here's what happens when we give up our identity is if we say I'm not good enough, I'm not worthy, we're basically saying, I'm not a child of God. And when we say I'm not a child of God, now we're an open book. We are free reign to the demonic principalities. Demons now have permission to access us because what protects us is our identity in God. Children of God have authority over demons, over the principalities of darkness. But if you don't identify as a child of God, you give up that right. So another way that we can give up our identity is when we go through childhood trauma. Right? Maybe our parents were really mad or they neglected us. And we begin to think, I do not have parents. My parents do not love me. Now, on an identity level, the demonic can come in and say, Oh, you don't have a mother-father god. You are an orphan. Well, if that is the case, then I have access to you. Or maybe we endured an assault and we felt so ashamed afterwards. That we think I'm now imperfect. There's no way for God to love me now. I've sinned or been soiled. And by believing in this, we turn our backs against God out of our shame. These are the ways that demons have access to us. That's the only power that they have, is the power that we give away by not claiming our true identity, consciously or unconsciously. Here's the truth: is that no matter what has happened to you, no matter who you have been, there is an opportunity for you to restore your identity in God. But when you come home to God, there is a humility where we now must choose to live our life in accordance to the will that God has instated for us. To know that children of God are holy, that our bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit, that being a child of God means that we follow and abide by those guardrails, knowing that God's laws are created in benevolence for us. So every curse, every spell, every psychic attack, every demonic entity attachment, every place that we are oppressed in our life is rooted in a place where either we are not in our identity as a child of God or in direct disalliance with God's way. Another word for that would be a sin, which in the original Hebrew language just meant to miss the mark. This is how the spirit world works, and that is why most people in the spiritual community are not walking with power. Because they haven't remembered where their power comes from. I pray that you reveal to me how this restores authority and power to my being, that I can cast out demons, heal myself and others. I pray that you cast out all the spirits of insecurity, unworthiness, self-hatred, self-rejection, self-criticism. That you cast out the orphan spirit and places in me that are angry with my parents and how they hurt me. I pray that you will reveal to my orphan inner children that you are my true parents. And that in coming home to you, it is so easy for me to forgive and let go and find wisdom. Beloved God, I offer you this day to teach me about my identity and how I have wandered away from you. Show me my inheritance. Show me the trust fund that I have access to from my soul, that you provide me with all things. You are the ultimate provider of all goodness in my life. Show me how I am blocking my blessings and my prosperity by not knowing what you have prepared for me, God. May you find your audacity to be a child of the Most High, to walk this earth in power and separate the day from the night. May you have peace today and all days.
