Welcome to Recapped Reality, where we keep your favorite reality TV shows alive after the credits roll. I'm Ashley, your host, and today we're recapping Love Island Season 8, Episode 2. Um, I have been so excited about this show. Um, I love that it's every day, and it's gonna be fun to recap it. Couple housekeeping items before we kind of get into the second episode. First of all, I do tend to swear a lot, so I don't really want to filter myself, but I do just want to give you a heads up. If you have kids around, you're in your car driving with them or whatever, maybe this is just your warning. Maybe listen to it another time or turn it down. It's just gonna warn you. All right. Um second is I'm gonna be recording episodes for every episode of the show. So I'm not gonna be doing one uh recap video for the the week's worth of um episodes. I'm gonna be doing literally one per episode. So that means they're gonna be coming out for Love Island specifically. They're gonna be coming out fairly regularly, uh, since they are, you know, pretty much five or six days a week, I think. Um may not do one for the after sun, uh, just because they're literally recapping their own show. I don't know that there's gonna be that much to talk about, but the actual episodes, I'll be recapping all of them and just kind of sharing my opinions, kind of going over it, and that'll be according to the show. Okay. So usually the next day or two days after. Um, so that's pretty much it. Um let's get into episode two. Okay, so we left off. Uh episode one, we left off with everyone had decided if they're gonna couple up or not, and we're left with seeing the aftermath of the two bombshells come came in. If you remember, we had Gabriel, the guy, come in who took the two women away that were sitting on the or standing on the red circle saying, No, I don't want to couple up with my current partner. So he came in, took those two two women away. That was Beatrice um and Trinity. Okay, that was Bryce's partner, and then Sean's partner. All right, and then we had the uh woman bombshell Ada. Um, she came in and took away Bryce and Zach. Zach was um Kenzie's partner for the time being, and then Bryce was Trinity's partner. So those two decided to split up. So she ends up taking them, and so we're kind of left off with the other couples figuring out if their partner stayed or not, because the girls and the boys don't know on the other side what does it look like, who left, who's there, they have no idea. So the first you know, few minutes of the episode is kind of going over showing everyone who stayed and who did not. So uh the first couple was Sincere and Melanie. For some reason, I keep calling her Natalie. I think she looks like Natalie maybe, but I keep saying Natalie, but it's Melanie. I really like her. And Sincere, really like them. So they realized, oh my god, we both picked each other. They seemed surprised, but also very happy. Um, I didn't think that he was into her from the beginning, but I guess he is. I mean, they seem like they're into each other. Um, so I'm kind of like, okay, I'm really more interested in them now as a couple. So I'm I'm excited to see how that goes. The next couple uh who also picked each other was Casey and Anaya. They seemed super thrilled. Um, and the um God, the host, I'm like, why am I blinking on her name right now? She said, Oh, congratulations. And then I think they were kissing. She goes, Congratulations. Uh, it was really, really funny. Um, so they are they're thrilled, they're coupled up. I feel like they're kind of like that couple that um may last a while uh in this in this season. So I'm like, I'm watching them. Um they have a very high possibility of working out for some reason, I think that. Um, and then we have uh so Trinity and um Bryce, uh, they both decided to explore their other options. So their door was shut, and um, you know, she announced they're both not here and their door shut, we're gonna move on. Okay. So then uh Kenzie uh is the next one. She opens up the door, she realizes Zach is there. She wasn't surprised, but obviously she's pretty upset. She's like, I I knew, I had a feeling he wasn't there, I kind of knew it. She could kind of sense it. Um, but she was disappointed. Um, you know, and she did like him, and it was obvious it was obvious. Now, a few minutes later, she does start crying about him, and she says she picks guys that cheat or suck, which I mean I personally think he sucks, but I I don't consider that cheating um because they just met 24 hours ago. Uh they weren't in an exclusive relationship. Um, but yeah, yeah, it sucks for her to open the door and he's not there, and then she's like, I thought we liked each other, but she I think had the signs, she just wasn't totally she was probably hopeful, letting the hope take over. Um, because he's even mentioned you're not my type, you're not who I usually date. I mean, that enough is enough of a hint, not that it's super direct, um, but he definitely is not worth her tears, uh, especially so soon, within a day. So she's disappointed, and then it moves over to Sean. Sean um was expecting Beatrice to be there. He says they've got great, a great connection, get great chemistry, great every he says everything felt felt really good, really natural. Um, and she was not there. So he was like really, really shocked, like, oh my god, I can't believe she's not here. Um, which I you know I felt for him. Um okay, so it it uh the next scene we go to where the bombshells are walking their two people to their what looks like their shared room, which is like a ginormous bed that they're all gonna share, I guess. So Ada takes the two guys to their room, and um they're just they're convincing her, oh, you should be a model, you're totally a model. They're just kind of like talking about what each other does and how she used to kind of be a model, and they're like saying how 5'9 is so tall, and they can't believe she's so tall and a model, um, just kind of being guys who are uh a little uh interested in her. And then it turns to uh Gabriel, the male bombshell, he's taking the girls to their room, um, and so they just kind of start chit-chatting. He's he's like, Where do you think I'm from? They're like, I don't know. He says, I speak Portuguese, which I am like, I don't know what that means. Like, where would you be from? I don't know. So I did look it up, and in fact, it was usually Portugal or Brazil. Uh so he's from Brazil. Um, he makes out with Beatriz right in front of Trinity, like just like his other makeouts, hardcore. I mean, his mouth and tongue are like open and all over everything. I'm just like, it's so awkward. Um, Trinity's like, oh wow, okay. You know, they don't care to have some privacy. Uh he just went for it. Um, yeah, he has this thing with just like aggressive. It's not even like hot to me. It's just like it's like almost too much. It's like he's literally eating their face. He's eating their face. It's a lot. Uh next we go to the hangout, so it shows a couple little things. So sincere and Melanie, they're just being super cute, they're all like all excited that they picked each other, just talking. Casey and Anaya, they're basically sitting in the um outdoor like bed area. I can't remember what it's called, just making out. They're basically just talking about how they love making out with each other and enjoy you know how it feels and whatnot. Um, and then and then the next scene, now Gabriel's making out with Trinity, aggressively, obviously, his usual style. Um, and then Kenzie's crying again about Zach. She's very upset and hurt, you know, having having a moment. The night ends. Um Sean and Kenzie are the two uh that are solo right now, so they end up sleeping solo. And then the funniest thing, I think, of this entire episode is um Ada, the bombshell, has Zach and then Bryce in the room, and she's actually making out with Zach. She like turns to like kiss him, and they're like, it's it's dark, it's in their bed um at nighttime, and she's you know trying to kiss on him, and then Bryce jumps in. He's trying to be funny, like I think it was kind of funny. He's like, jumps in, like, oh, don't forget about me. Like, I'll I'm here, we're gonna all just kind of enjoy each other. And I'm like, it's kind of funny, but she turns to him and says, You're gonna be left out of this one just tonight. Um, yeah, you're gonna be left out just tonight. Ouch. And he's just kind of like, Okay, he's kind of like smiling, like, don't show that you're totally like feeling like totally rejected. Um, it was super awkward, but it was I feel for him, but it was also kind of funny. And I think he took it well. I mean, as good as you can take it, but his he didn't react, so that's good. In the morning, uh, I thought the funniest part, Ken Kenzie was jumping up on the bed. I'm not gonna cry today. And I'm like, great, don't cry today, make your statement, but then she turns it into a whole song, I'm not gonna cry today, I'm not gonna cry today. And I'm like, God, it's just too much. Just say it once and then start living your day. Like, let's go. Um, so Sean, they talk about, oh, how are we gonna make your day better, Sean? He's like, I'm gonna make you breakfast. So he ends up making her breakfast, it's in a heart shape. He puts the eggs in the sausage, the sausage is like the outline of the heart, and she's just like all smitten, like, oh my god. Um, and then you just see Casey um walking out, like after dropping off the food back into like the kitchen area, uh just saying, Happy wife, happy life. That's how you do it. Um, and then we're basically just gonna go through a bunch of scenes of people sitting down in certain areas talking about their choices or getting to know each other. So we got Bryce and Zach out. It's like after their night with Ada. They're sitting there on a picnic table discussing their choice. Obviously, Bryce is like, how was your night? Because he was he was left out of it. It was basically Ada and Zach having their own night together. Um, so they're kind of discussing how uh, you know, Zach is like very happy with his choice, and Bryce is kind of, I'm happy I made it, but you know, obviously he's not as excited because it didn't really work out in his favor. And then Beatriz and Trinity, then also, you know, it turns to them, they're discussing their choice with Gabriel. You know, how are their men back in the villa gonna feel, or how are you gonna feel if he gets upset with you about it, or how would you feel if he also did the same thing? Because they don't really know what each other has chosen at this point. They're still kind of in the dark. Like um, Beatrice doesn't know that Sean didn't, I think, did not pick to explore. She hasn't she has no idea whether he did or not. Zach doesn't know that Kenzie picked him, like they don't know that yet. They'll figure that out when they go back and they're talking with everyone. Okay, so at this point, they don't know that their partners did or did not pick someone else. So they're kind of running through scenarios of like, if this happened, what are you gonna do? How are you gonna feel if he says this or if he acts like this? Um, so it's kind of interesting. Um, I think that they're all aware that, you know, they're not in exclusive relationships. They can kind of this is Love Island, after all, like they are here to date around and play the game and, you know, find the connection. Um, and they don't necessarily need to settle on the first one, or they just need to see is it even the right one. Just because we found a connection doesn't mean it's the connection. Um, Kenzie uh shows her sitting down with two of the guys saying how kind of admitting Zach did tell her, you know, she's not his type. Um, so she had her heads up. She knew. Um, she shouldn't be upset. Obviously, she is upset. Like it is kind of, you know, it's unfortunate that she opens the door and your guy's not there, but I mean, he's not your guy. So it's good that she's like, okay, he did tell me that he's not attracted to me, and and she did mention that she doesn't she's never gotten that before. Um, that someone hasn't ever told her that I'm just not like into you or attracted to you or you're not my type type of a vibe. And I thought that was kind of funny. I'm like, well, first time for everything. Um, because most people do hear that at some point in their life for sure. So now it's like the bombshell has a little sit-down mini date with their two people that they pulled in. It's gonna be one-on-one. So Aiden and Ada and Zach, um I've noticed he says like very general things to her. He doesn't really say a lot, and she's usually the one kind of leading the conversation. He's the she's the one complimenting him. Oh, you look really cute. And then he's like, Oh, so do you. She's like, Are you just saying that because I said it? He's like, I should have said it first. It's like, no shit, you should have said it first. Um, so she, I feel like, is leading the conversation, and that makes me just kind of think, I wonder if she's gonna get a little sick of him, or like she wants a man to take charge, and he's just kind of more like laid back, you know, more of a quiet, which is fine, but I don't know that she's gonna want that. So I'm not really feeling him. Um, not that it matters how I feel about him, but I for some reason I'm not I'm not thrilled by him. Um let's see. Um Sean. Yeah, sh so Sean, um, the one that Beatrice did not pick, he's asking the girls about their choice, and um basically what he's trying to suss out, I think, is should I be mad that she did not pick green? Stand on the green and pick me. He's like, How did you decide? How did you know, like, how'd you feel when you were given the choice to pick green or to pick red? What what were you thinking? And they're like, Oh yeah, no, I knew, I knew for sure, and I I picked green and I knew it. And he's like, Really? Um, and it's just more confirmation or validation for him that this girl didn't pick me, and so you know, I want someone who's gonna pick me, basically, who's someone who wants me. I don't have to like want to have to fight my way to get your attention or your love or whatever. So I'm I I get it. Um, and I think hearing that was was real validation for him. Uh and then it's it goes to Beatriz and Gabriel, these two. They're just sitting and talking deeper. They're talking about how, oh, you're kind of a flirt, you're you're a playboy. Um, he's saying he's not a flirt just to just to her. And I'm like, that's such bullshit. She does catch him lying. She says, she's like, Oh, you're already lying, I already caught you in the lie. Um, he just seems totally full of shit, honestly. Um, it seems like the way he kisses these women to me, it's like I think that he just wants to fuck them, just wants to have sex and and mess around. Um, and that's just the vibe I get, just seeing how he basically sticks his his entire mouth, like his whole tongue down their throat. Um, it's just very it's just a lot. Um then it goes to Casey and Sean working out. Thank goodness, because we need to work out here. Um if I was there, that's the one thing I would be doing like all day, hitting those weights. Um yeah, I love it. They're always like working out, talking about their relationships. It's like the best. It's the but one of the best parts. It's like the classic Love Island. That's what you do. Gabriel and Trinity. Uh, so then they're they're sitting and talking. So now he's with the the next girl, um, sharing how he came to the US three years ago. He says he want um he wants to have um, or she was saying, Oh, I want to have kids and have a family, and he was saying, I want to have kind of go with the flow and kind of dodges the question about the kids, like if he wants them or not. He kind of acts shocked that she would expect him to want to have kids when he's 30, he's 26, so he's got like three, four years now. Um, and he was kind of like, really? Um, that just tells you he's like here to just have fun, which is fine. You do you. Um, but she obviously is thinking more like she has a timeline, she wants to have the family have the kids, and this guy does not want that. So you had you had his choice at the way he responded just on his face. It said a lot. Then he goes to Bryce and Ada. Um, so they're uh stuck on a date basically. You know she doesn't like him, she doesn't like him, she's just there because she has to be there. I thought the funniest thing was she said they were talking about like who you're normally into, and she's like, Oh, I like dark features and tattoos, and um, and then they kiss. I'm like, I don't know why you're kissing. You don't like him, he's not your type, you didn't want anything to do with him the other night, like last night. Um, we know you're not into him, and so I'm just like, I think maybe they were forced, I don't know. But I do want Bryce's black shirt, though. It's very cool. Um, like I gotta find it. I looked on the app, which by the way, you guys need to get the Love Island app because you can um you can vote uh for stuff that's happening in the show. Um, I know that they are actually turning on the like the actual voting that impacts the game uh soon. But yeah, they have the Love Island app here um on your phone, and then you can um partake in like um votes, like not show impacting votes, and then there will be those show impacting votes soon. Um you can also um you know buy all the swag and stuff, which I did just order some water bottles, so very excited about that. Um gotta get into the Love Island spirit, so um then we're back to the gym. Kenzie's coming up, walking in her bikini up to Sean, grabs Sean, takes him from his weight training. Like, come on, girl. Um now they're sitting down, just kind of a few steps away, and she's claiming she does not give a fuck about Zach. I don't give a fuck. To be honest, I don't give a fuck. And it's like, okay, two minutes ago you were crying. Then you said, oh yeah, he did tell me he doesn't like people that look like me, and now she's saying I don't give a fuck. So it's like progressed. It's progressed. At least she's on this side of it that you know she's mad now. She's going through all the all the phases of rejection and disappointment. Um Sean says something I love, which I feel like this is gonna be the new quote of the show and just like life in general, that he wants someone who stands on the green. On the green circle. He wants someone who picks him. I'm like, I fucking love this. This is amazing. I want someone who stands on the green. We all want someone who picks us, we all want the person who's like there, they're always there, they're picking us all the time. They're they choose us, we choose them, vice versa. So I'm like, oh my god, that's amazing. He did say he uh we know that he had a long term relationship prior to him um kind of hoeing himself out and knocking someone up and having a kid, and that it comes up that it, I think. It was his high school sweetheart that he was with prior to the hoeing and having the kid. And that was for nine years, which um yeah, that's a long time. So it's like they started dating when they were literally in high school, which is crazy. Um, so now they're all getting ready for nighttime, um which is generally bonfire, right? So Kenzie, she's all fuck Zach energy, right? I don't give a fuck anymore. So she is, I'm gonna get fucking hot. Someone's gonna appreciate it. So she wants someone to appreciate it, someone will eventually. It's just not Zach. So she gets into this. I think it's a leopard striped leopard. Like, is a leopard striped? It's not a cougar. Cougars are s are like spots. We got we gotta we gotta chat GBT those. I think it's a leopard stripe. It looks leopard colors or cougar colors, but it's stripes. This outfit, right? In black. She gets all done up, her stomach and her boobs are kind of out, you know, she's like feeling herself, she's feeling good, which is awesome. Um, and then all of a sudden, I got a text. Okay. Um, so now they're all told, go to the fire pit. This is everyone except Gabriel and Ada, and they're two stolen people. So everyone else is going to the fire pit to see what's next. All right. So they bring out Gabriel and the two girls, so they walk out hand in hand. He's holding both their hands, walking them out. They bring out Ada and the two guys. Again, they're holding hands, but she's walking them out. Gabriel and Ada, one by one, they have to decide. You have to pick one person that you want to couple up with, and you're going to tell everyone who you're going to couple up with by kissing them. Okay, so you're going to kiss your choice. Gabriel, who does he pick? We already know. Beatrice. Uh, again, aggressive, aggressive, aggressive kiss. They had to wipe their mouths. They had to wipe their mouths off. They made out so much. I mean, they basically eat each other's face. Um, I just can't. Ada picked Zach. We knew that. She doesn't like frickin' Bryce, which I do, but she does not. It's not his type. He doesn't have tattoos and he's not dark features. So, uh, no shocker here at all. All right. Kenzie is giving Zach weird looks all night, rolling her eyes, looking at him like I'm gonna fucking kill you, you know, the the normal. Um he doesn't really, I don't know if he picks up on it, he doesn't really show, but you see her doing it a few times. Bryce and Trinity end up defaulting back to a couple because they were not picked by the bombshell that came in. So they were both told to sit down. And then, oh, by the way, since you both got rejected by the bombshell, you're both now a couple again. So they're like, oh yay, yay, I'm so excited. We know they're not into each other, obviously, that much, and but then now they're back, they get to stay in on Love Island, which is great. Sean, uh Beatrice's now ex-partner, and then Kenzie, they're up for elimination. Um, their exes end up getting a text, and they have to tell them, hey, this is uh potentially your last night, you're up for elimination because you don't have a couple. Way to just rub it in a little bit more, put some salt in that wound. So Sean is told by Beatrice that you know you're up for elimination since you don't have a couple uh tonight, and then Kenzie's told by Zach, and pretty funny. Kenzie blows Zach a passive aggressive kiss and says, Thank you. And he says, You're welcome. It's like, dude, she's not really thanking you, she's telling you to go fuck yourself, uh, honestly. In the next episode, we're gonna figure out what happens. What happens to Sean, what happens to Kenzie? We don't know. I hope Kenzie stays in, honestly. Um, I feel like she just has that like bubbly, goofy, you know, personality that it's like it's good for the it's good for TV. So we gotta keep her in. I'm I'm rooting for her. Um she deserves a chance. I like Sean too, he's fine, but not as much as Ken C. So what do you guys think about episode two? Who do you like so far? Who do you hate? I think my favorite people right now, if I had to pick. Ooh. Casey and Anaya are sincere in Melanie, couple wise. I feel like I think Casey is like a closet dork. Like he's like, I think he's kind of like silly, you know? He's kind of like a little dork. Um yeah. I really like Melanie. I don't know if Sincere is gonna last with her for like the whole time. I don't know. I feel more like Casey and Anaya will definitely last, but I like Sincere and Melanie about the same amount. So either of those four I really like. Kenzie's my girl. Super excited for her. I hope she can stay in and she's she'll make it. Um, that's pretty much it. That's it. That's all I got. So we'll be back uh for episode three very soon.
