001 - Hustle can look like ambition, but it often feels like pressure, exhaustion, and the quiet belief that our worth lives in our output. We are kicking off Flourishing Femme with a new invitation: slow down, come back to your innate feminine truth, and learn how to create a life that actually feels good. I am Marnae Bowcut, an Alignment Coach, and I built this show for women who want more flow, confidence, passion, and joy, without sacrificing their relationships or their health to get there.

I share the personal story behind this podcast, including years of caregiving, deep fatigue, and the relationship strain that came with doing it all while running multiple businesses. After loss and betrayal trauma, I found myself asking a different question than “What is wrong with me?” I wanted to understand what I never learned about aligned feminine energy, self-worth, and how a woman can invite a healthier masculine dynamic in love. That search led me into the principles I now teach, and it changed how I think about partnership, polarity, and what a “sacred union” can look like.

We also introduce the first foundational skill we will dive into next: receiving. If you have ever felt like you are overgiving, overfunctioning, or stuck in push-pull patterns, this may land hard. Sometimes what we call a money problem is really a receiving problem, and learning to receive support, love, rest, and resources can be a turning point for your nervous system and your life. Subscribe, share this with a woman you care about, and leave a review so more listeners can find Flourishing Femme.

Welcome and thank you for joining me, Marnay Boquette. I am so excited to share my first introductory episode of Flourishing Femme. I believe now more than ever it is so important for women to be introduced and invited to embrace these gold nuggets and gems that I am so passionate to share with you.

Why Feminine Alignment Matters Now

SPEAKER_01

Teachings, the concepts, the tools, the insights, the values, and the principles that I am planning to reveal to you have changed my life, my relationships, my body, my heart, and my soul. The goal with these podcasts are to invite curiosity as to what, why, and how our divine feminine essence and alignment can change the way we create, manifest our dreams, and thrive as women, as well as to empower our relationships with men, the men in our lives, our companions, our husbands, and how we can invite them into their divine masculine and give us the ability to really establish a sacred union and step into a united consciousness as a couple. I believe we owe it to ourselves, our spouse or significant other, our families and our communities to awaken to the inspiring possibilities of creating and thriving in flow and passion instead of hustle, pressure, push-pull, and competition. And always feeling like our worth and our value is determined by our performance and results, that is just absolutely destroying us. We get to know and understand what our true worth is, our true identity and our value as women. Sometimes we as women really overgive of ourselves. And that in that tends to set up the environment for us to resist receiving, receiving generously and graciously. What if we could experience this true divine identity and our aligned femininity and create through grace, playfulness, passion, flow, warmth, and even vulnerability. That'd be different for all of us, wouldn't it?

The Hidden Skill Of Receiving

SPEAKER_01

What if you came to the realization that you really don't have a money problem? You have a receiving problem. That was a huge aha for me. I can tell you right now that just that principle of receiving alone has changed my life in all areas. In all areas of my life, it has changed it drastically for the better. My next podcast, we will actually begin to address that principle and value of receiving in great depth. In fact, it'll probably take two podcasts. And I encourage you to join me for some empowering invitations and exercises to allow you to perhaps become aware of some blocks that you have around just that. Blocks about receiving, truly graciously and with great gratitude receiving. So stick with me, and I look forward to having you join me on the next podcast.

Caregiving Exhaustion And Marriage Strain

SPEAKER_01

But for now, I'm going to share with you how I actually got catapulted into learning more about these divine feminine. Six years ago, I was seasoned, and I was taking care of them. My mom had dementia, and my dad was severely crippled and needed a lot of help, in and out of bed, in and out of his chair. And of course, all the care that it took for that situation, as well as the sleeping with one eye open every night with my mom with dementia slash Alzheimer's. I really became very sleep deprived. And of course very exhausted and fatigued because I had been doing this for three years as well as keeping up with my business. Three of my businesses, and um watching my parents and taking care of them was really becoming I would never say a burden because I'm so grateful I got that experience, and it just increased our bond and our connection between parent and child, even though I was a grown woman, but or I should say between father and daughter and mother and daughter. But it was really wearing on me, and um so you know, I I can completely take accountability and say that I probably definitely wasn't on my best behavior and my most attentive behavior with my spouse. But we did the best that we could. We arranged to go on some vacations and and have somebody come and and give us a give me a respite. I was actually living apart from my spouse because he got to stay home to be able to go to work where he worked every day, and I was actually living three hours away with my parents to take care of them. I learned so much while doing all of that, and um I don't regret it, and I I would do it again, but it did, like I said, create some undesirable situations for me and my spouse because I was gone and he was traveling a lot, he was traveling to China for his work. Anyway, um, both of my parents uh passed on, I settled the estate, and I was just trying to get back into somewhat of a normal routine of running retreats and seeing clients um and what all the things that I was doing to run my businesses.

Betrayal Trauma Sparks A New Path

SPEAKER_01

And lo and behold, um I was pretty much blindsided by the announcement that my husband wanted a divorce and that he had found someone else in China. So uh the betrayal trauma, the rejection, the heartache hit me pretty hard, and I was already pretty traumatized through watching both of my parents pass away and my mom going through Alzheimer's is something I would never wish on anyone to have to experience. It was that alone was traumatizing to watch and experience and to walk through. But I was in a very hard, hard place. And after I did a lot of my own work to get through the betrayal trauma and the heartache and the loss and everything that just came with that whole situation, I was just contemplating in one day, and I thought, you know, a lot of this could be blamed upon things that I didn't do our distance, the stress, and the inability for me to be really super attentive to my spouse at the time, you know, could be could take me into a lot of shame. And I didn't want to go there, I just wanted to find out how I could do something different in a relationship in the future. So I was led, divinely led, I know, to learn more about the divine feminine. And that invitation took me down a path that I definitely don't regret, and that I learned so much and was able to be super raw and accountability for the things that probably even throughout my whole marriage I didn't understand or know or realize, and that if I would have known these things, perhaps there might have been a different outcome. So I really put on my accountability pants and looked into this and was like I really did relationships from what was modeled to me by my parents, from the people in my community, the people in my um church, and those types of things I would just watch and think, oh, okay, this is what you do to establish a healthy relationship. And so that's exactly what I did for 33 years is I was kind, I was patient, I was definitely very forgiving, I was hardworking, I served and served and served my husband and my children, you know, wash the clothes, clean the house, take care of um dinners and the things that you just do as a wife and a mother.

Breaking The Hustle Equals Worth Pattern

SPEAKER_01

And I was very driven by a more masculine template template of okay, just push through, make this happen, get things done, build a business, then build another business, and then you know, help more people, have more sessions with more people, do more retreats, and I I definitely was exhausted a good share of the time. And I lived in that world of competitiveness and push-pull and the hustle for worthiness, and I was entrenched in all of that. I did have, and I still do, have a very successful coaching business. I'm a master rapid eye technician. I run an Airbnb, I have a retreat center where I facilitate retreats for women, for couples, and I was just going like 90, hair on fire, all the time. And I was able to establish what I thought I wanted, but I wore myself out doing it. A lot of times I felt burnout and felt exhausted and fatigued, and I really started to not even really enjoy it as much as I did at the first. And so there became a lot of demands and a lot of have to, need to, ought to, shoulds, I need to get this done, I'm supposed to have that deadline, you know, project taken care of, and I'm sure that was not good on my relationship with my spouse or even my children, and maybe even my friends. So when I started to really look into this, and I thought I can create from a place of flow and warmth and passion and vulnerability, that one was a mind blower. And I can like move out of the hustle and the push and the grind and the do more, accomplish more, because I really allowed my performance and results to create my value, my worth, and my identity. And that was something that I saw, especially in corporate, in the corporate world. And I thought, there's a different way to do all of this, and to invite the masculine into holding the container for me to create like that, with joy and flow and passion and grace and playfulness, all those things, I was like, this is a whole new paradigm for me. But I got more and more curious and more and more intrigued about this possibility. So I was definitely choosing to immerse myself in this learning and this awakening. And so that is what brought me to learn these tools, skills, values, characteristics of the aligned feminine, divine feminine. And I was very, very intrigued with what me functioning from that paradigm could invite the masculine into something I always wanted. I wanted to be led, I wanted to be protected, provided for all the amazing things that we as women a lot of times really dream of experiencing.

What Comes Next And How To Connect

SPEAKER_01

And so that's my story, and that is what has brought me brought me here to create these podcasts right now, in this very time, in 2026. And I'm so grateful for this learning and for this awakening into these principles and tools, and I just am so passionate about sharing it with all of you, and hopefully can bring some light and some insight and some aha's into your life like it did mine. And so, with that, I am so excited to start with my next podcast that we'll really dive deeply into the first and basic and foundational principle of receiving. That one was just a mind blower for me, it really was, and how deeply I delved into that and looked at that and embodied that and the differences I started to experience just with that one. And then there's more on top of that to grow and to build upon. And so I really am so grateful that you took your valuable time to join me today.
