Welcome to Day 2 of The Yielded Mind – A 50-Day Journey of Reflection and Renewal. As Revelation Week continues, you'll discover another beautiful truth about your identity in Christ. The God who created you knows you personally, has redeemed you through Christ, and lovingly calls you His own. Through Isaiah 43:1, you'll learn that your relationship with God is rooted not in your performance, but in His redeeming love.
In today's episode, you'll learn why God calls His people by name, how redemption establishes your identity, and why you can live each day from the security of already belonging to your heavenly Father.

Welcome to the Yielded Mind's 50-day journey of reflection and renewal. My name is Eric Hayes, and this is your daily invitation to quiet the noise, yield your thoughts to the indwelling Holy Spirit, and allow Him to renew your mind through the truth of scripture. Doing so will best equip you to follow along as we walk through these 50 days together. Now, please pause and begin where every yielded mind begins, gratitude. In your journal, write down three things you're grateful for today. Consider sharing those gratefuls with someone you love, because gratitude shared strengthens both the one that gives thanks and the one that receives it. Now take a slow breath and prepare your heart for today's passage and teaching. Ask the Lord to make His word personal. Ask Him for revelation. Ask Him to expose all things that need to come under His authority. The yielded mind is formed through surrender. Open your heart. Open your journal. Open your mind to the indwelling Holy Spirit. Here is today's teaching. Welcome to day two of your 50-day journey of reflection and renewal. This week, you're discovering who God says you are and learning to see yourself as He sees you. Yesterday, you learned that the Holy Spirit bears witness with your spirit that you belong to God. Today, you'll discover that God doesn't simply know you, He calls you by name. Today's lesson is called Called by Name, and today's scripture is from Isaiah chapter 43, verse one, and I'll be reading from the NLT Bible. "But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, 'Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name. You are mine.'" Now consider what the Holy Spirit is teaching you through this passage. Isaiah spoke these words to the nation of Israel during a time of uncertainty and coming judgment. Although God's people had wandered from Him, He had not abandoned His covenant with them. Before speaking about their future, God reminded them of something they desperately needed to remember: they belonged to Him. Notice how personal His words are. "I have called you by name." In the Bible, a name represents far more than a label. It speaks of identity, relationship, and purpose. God wasn't addressing an anonymous crowd. He was speaking to a people He knew intimately. The same God who formed Israel is the God who knows you completely. Nothing about your life has escaped His notice. He knows your victories and your failures. He knows your strengths and your weaknesses, yet His knowledge of you is not accomplished by rejection. It is accomplished by redemption. Before God says, "You are mine," He first says, "I have redeemed you." Your relationship with God has never been earned by your performance. Your relationship is established by His redeeming work. That is why you don't have to live as though you're trying to gain His acceptance. In Christ, friend, you live from the security of already belonging to Him. Yesterday, you learned that the Holy Spirit bears witness with your spirit that you are God's child. Today, Isaiah reminds you that the God who saved you also knows you personally. You are not forgotten. You are not an afterthought. You are known, called, and loved by the one who created you. This is another critical step in the yielded mind. As you yield your mind to God's Word and His indwelling Holy Spirit, you stop believing the labels the world, your past, or even your own thoughts have placed upon you. Instead, you begin to believe what your Creator says is true. Friend, He has called you by name, and you belong to Him. Today, yield your mind to this truth. The God who created you also redeemed you, knows you by name, and calls you His own. Let's pray. Father, thank you for knowing this listener today and knowing them completely and loving them perfectly. I pray that you would free them from every false label and every lie that has shaped their identity. Help them to receive the truth that you know them by name and that through Jesus Christ, they belong to you. Father, renew their mind as they yield their thoughts, their will, and their emotions to your indwelling Holy Spirit. May they walk today with the quiet confidence of knowing that they are fully known, deeply loved, and securely in your hands. And I pray this in the precious and perfect name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. As today's teaching comes to a close, do not rush past what the Holy Spirit may be revealing. Return now to your journal. Write down the revelation you have received. What truth stood out? What challenged your thinking? Next, prayerfully consider opportunities to serve today. Ask God who He might place in your path. How can you encourage, help, listen to, strengthen, or simply be present for someone in need? Be specific. Journal who, when, and how you plan to serve. And finally, as your day comes to an end this evening, return once more to your journal and invite the indwelling Holy Spirit to debrief about your day. Where was obedience strong? Where might repentance be needed? Are there persons to whom you owe an amends? End this day where it began, fully yielded to the indwelling mind of Christ, and I'll meet you again tomorrow on this fifty-day journey of reflection and renewal. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. In Jesus' name, amen.
