This week after a lot of wedding hair and makeup trials, we decided to talk beauty trials. What to do, and what not to do before a big event.

Happy Monday morning. How was the weekend?

Uh the weekend was fine. I feel like it was short because uh Saturday was busy at the salon. We did three trials between us, wedding bridal trials.

Three trials between us, which is honestly where we came up with the idea for this week's episode is wedding. We're gonna talk all about weddings. So yeah, Saturday was a day. It was a day.

It was good, but it was just it was one after the next. I couldn't believe you had a we had I had done one, then we did one together, and then I couldn't believe you had a whole other one to do after that.

Right. Exactly. I know, and she was my final bride trial on Saturday was pretty easy. She's still trying to decide what vendor I think to go with. So she is a STEM girl. STEM girl, girl, STEM STEM. I love my STEM, I love them. They're so well one year we did so many STEM girls, remember? I feel like we did anyway. Everybody was like a scientist or a chemical engineer or and we've had some years where everybody was doctors.

Yep, or dentists. Yeah, we did have a dentist here, doctor dentist year. You're right.

Yep, you're right. We did. You are so right. So it was it was good, it's always fun, and what's crazy to think is one of our own little girls that have worked with us since well, it was 2020 because you were out with 1.0, and I was looking for an extra set of hands to help me do weddings, and she was in the cosmetology program. And let me just quickly cover just because you choose to be a cosmetologist does not mean you're not intelligent enough to go to college. Let me just say, and she point in fact was in cosmetology, she loved weightlifting, and to see her evolve into going to Kennesaw, paying her way, being an RA, all of the things, and then she decides to get into law.

Well, she had a minute there where she thought maybe like exercise science. Like she had a she had a second where she thought she was gonna be like a personal trainer or something like that. And we were kind of like, that doesn't make any money.

No way. One of my clients told her, Alan, he was like, uh, you'd be better off cutting hair or doing hair all day because you'd make more money than a personal trainer. And I'm not saying personal trainers don't make money, but it's a hard business.

Very hard business. Um, so I I'm not sure if that was her inspiration or what, but she totally changed majors, totally changed life paths, and is you know, going through law school now.

So and tested very high on her LSAT too. And I can brag because she's not my kid.

But all day long we could brag about her because she's just the most wonderful person, and being able to be a part of her wedding day is like the joy of our lives. Like, we're so excited. Um, so she had her trial this weekend, and it was just it was so fun doing it. Like, it just felt like we were working together, but like honest to goodness, she's truly the most beautiful bride I've ever seen in my entire life.

Like, and you know, that sign that Nick got me when we opened the salon about the Audrey Hepburn quote in our salon. To me, that is the essence of that. Absolutely because she's happy, she's bubbly, she radiates beauty from the inside.

Absolutely, absolutely, so she is stunning outside, but the inside is just really what makes it. So we are so lucky to be at part of her day, and doing her trial was the highlight of Saturday for sure.

My other highlight of Saturday, I should this is unrelated to hair, honestly, but um, my best friend brought in her boys to get their haircut, and her oldest is um practicing German. He's learning German, and he's how old is he? He's in between my two, so he's nine. I was like, How old is he? He's practicing German. And so I was like, Oh, well, give me a little something. And so he said something in German. I was like, Can I get a translation? And he was like, he said, Kiki, which is what he calls me. Kiki is the best hairstylist. I was like, What? He said it in German. It was the high that was my second highlight of the day. I had a solid Saturday, even though it was kind of exhausting. I had some highs, high highs on Saturday.

Me too. I mean, it was an overall good day, and I even came home and kept working. Like I worked on the dog and I worked on randomness.

I did not, I went home and crashed all the way out. Like, no. Oh, but I did start Saturday with a low low. Um we had picture day for they call it media day, but let's be honest, it's picture day. Um for football and you know, it's supposed to be there and you know, look like the coach's girlfriend, and I'm like, great, got it, not a problem. Um but I had this panic wake up at probably five, which is on board for me. Um and I was like, did I forget my makeup bag at my house? Do I have makeup today? And I'm like, surely I have makeup. I've never forgotten my makeup bag. Yeah, right. Okay, so um but Holly's hack should have done. Should have done a hack with Holly, should have done it, should have already had a whole entire makeup bag because I did not have a makeup bag. I was thinking, oh my gosh, I have to go take this picture. It's gonna be printed in these programs and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, for the whole football season with zero makeup. What a nightmare. Um, so I ended up at the drugstore and I was buying makeup at 7:45 in the morning.

Um what time does the drugstore open?

But it was open by the time I got there. The sweet guy there asking, uh, are you having a good morning? I said, uh, no, buddy. I'm having the literal worst morning. I was like, absolutely not, not having a great morning.

Um wait, did he think you did the walk of shame to the drugstore?

SPEAKER_01 7:10

But that's honestly what I looked like. Zero makeup. My hair was done, and I had a cute dress on. But that could have really gone from night, you know, walk of shame night before. It was not the walk of shame, but I looked pretty rough. Um, anyways, I got the barest of bare minimum makeups, and I was shocked at how much I spent. Shocked for drugstore um makeup. I'm gonna be honest. I felt like I I don't think it's that big of a difference in pricing. Pricing is not different. Maybe five bucks. Maybe five bucks like per thing. I spent I was right at a hundred dollars, and I got a a little thing of brushes because how was I gonna apply this stuff, right? So I got a little thing of brushes, which by the way was locked up, lock and keep. No, they weren't little miniature, it was just like full only four.

No, I'm thinking about like when I was a teenager and I'd buy cover girl blush, no chain, that little mini brush in there.

Like they do not give them anymore. They don't. There was no like powder puff, like a pad, you know. Like, remember how some of those like press powders had like a pad thing in there, like a spongy pad thing? None of that was in there. So, which I actually didn't know before I bought them, but it come to find out, there was not. So I did buy the I bought a little set of brushes. There was like four brushes and a beauty blender. I was like, all right, well, that's gonna work. Um, those were under lock and key at the drugstore, which I was like, is this frequently stolen item?

I really it is because I went in to the Walmart on Windward Parkway, and a hundred percent of the makeup, lashes, all the health and beauty was behind a lock and key. I'm like, great, you can't even get a darn cashier at Walmart. How the hell am I gonna get this antifungal polish out of the makeup?

I would have said, forget it. I'm out of here.

No, there was somebody there, a clerk there. And I said, Do you have that much shoplifting that you have to lock all this stuff up? She looked at me like, girl, you just don't know.

Okay, so, anyways, apparently that's a thing. Um, so I got my makeup brushes, I got a thing of concealer that I was just like hoping and praying was gonna be the right color for under my eyes. It was. Um, I got a little thing of bronzer and a little thing of blush and my mascara. That was it. Five things for a hundred dollars. Like, I'm telling you.

Um, question. So now that you're telling me this story, which I kind of knew a little bit of this story, to the afternoon of us doing these trials, both, two trials came with Dior, or we're talking about Dior lip.

Yes, for $42. I did something too. I did not, it was like a gloss. No pencil gloss. I did not get a pencil and a gloss, I just got like a little gloss.

So I think one of the trials had a Dior pencil, and one trial had the Dior lip, like a lipstick. It twisted up, but it's not like a fat lipstick. So that would be our trial. What we should do for a trial and report back is get a high end and a low end. The one product, like whether it's a lip or something we decide upon, and you get it, I get it, and we see the difference. Probably a lip is a good test because we'll see how long it lasts.

I think so. I think it'll be fun. Let's do a little science experiment.

Science experiment. So, since we did so many trials and we're gonna talk about weddings, um, by the way, I'm gonna digress because I did mention something to you when you texted me I had to buy all makeup from the drug store. Well, when I was in Maine, I bought a curling iron from a department, a discount department store, but it's still a Revlon. When you're in a small town America, there's like little discount or little department stores, and it was like multi-level. And the first time Sean went there when he was probably Parker's age with my mom when he'd go up there for the summer. He's like, Nana, where's the escalator?

He's like, This is it, buddy. What you see is what you get.

That's right. So I had to go there and get something else. So I was like, well, maybe I can just pick up a curling iron because I have to go out to dinner tonight. So I bought a curling iron, and I am like, one, two, three, four. On the highest of heat, what we told everybody not to use. So not all electro electric, I don't know, appliances are made easily.

So it was really a rough time up there.

It was a rough time. It's okay. It's okay. After my son said I already stand out like a sore thumb. So it's okay. I can't change and not wear makeup or not do my hair at all, or not. And honestly, this whole midlife thing, and it's so hot this time of year everywhere. I so I wear a dress every day.

I'm not dressed up, I'm just in a sundress. Like I will leave the pool and still be covered in sunscreen, put on a sundress, and go to the grocery store or meet my girlfriends out for dinner or whatever. Like, and no part of me took any effort, but I threw on a dress. It looks like I it's effortless. It's so effortless. And I live in sundresses this time of year. Absolutely.

That's right. That's right. It's easy, it's cool. Anyway, so as far as weddings, people are always asking us for tips like what should I do with my skin? What should I do with my hair prior to the wedding? Absolutely do not start anything new days or weeks into the wedding. If you're gonna try something new, a facial, a new product, um, any kind of lasering, waxing, do it months out and make sure it works. That it would be my key. You know, don't try a new hair color, don't try a new haircut, nothing new.

Yeah, I had I feel like a mother of the bride, um, a client who, you know, her daughter's getting married or whatever. And she was like, I just want to like, I just am tired of coloring my hair. Like, I feel like I want to let my gray come in. Like, but um my daughter's getting married in, you know, four months. And I'm like, okay, let's not do that right now. Like, let's not let your gray come in in this next four months. We can talk about this after your daughter gets married, but like that's about the last thing you're gonna want to see in your pictures at your daughter's wedding for the rest of your life, is an inch and a half of gray hair with your, you know, medium brown hair on the rest of your head. Like, don't try anything new, like, still be who you are. So, you know, have your roots tend to try something new, don't be like, oh, you know what? I've been a blonde my whole life. Let me see how I look as a brunette. Absolutely not. Do not do that.

Like and changing your hair color means you've got to change your makeup. It affects the way the color top top half. Whatever color you wear on the top half of your body reflects against your hair. There is so many changes that go along with changing your hair color drastically.

Um, my aunt, she decided that she was looking very old before my cousin got married and her son. And so she decided she needed to get Botox, but it was her first time ever getting Botox. And so she did get it. Um, but I'm pretty sure she hated it. I'm pretty sure she was like, I can't move my face, like I don't look like myself, like this was a mistake. But then of course it was too late because it wasn't gonna wear off by the time the wedding came. Like she did it way too close.

Oh my gosh. So a client last week or the week before, who knows? Time is an illusion. She told me it's an illusion. Let's just, it's fake. So let's just be real. She goes and gets but she usually gets Botox. She tells me she gets it twice a year. Who do I care? I don't care. You could get it every month for all I care. Um, so she talked to her doctor about her lip, her lips in general, and she said with age that typically our lips don't lose the thickness, they curl inward. I don't know. I'm not a doctor. This is non-fact, this is just secondhand information. So she had a little bit of injection in her lips to help, I guess, pull them outward. Exactly. She said, I can't even drink out of a straw right now.

Okay, so it uh okay, to to be fair, this can like you can have that.

I've never heard of that lip flip.

Um I okay, if you don't have any top lip in the first place, that's when you can't drink out of a straw when you get the lip flip. Like, I have plenty of top lip in the first place. You can't I'm can't even tell. Have no problem drinking out of straw. No one would even know I had a lip flip done. Like it's oh we didn't when you had your Botox done? Yeah, it's just like a couple little um units of Botox like right at the top of your lip. Can't even tell. And I I've never not been able to drink out of a straw. Like I I talked, but that was one of those that I like talked to my girlfriends about like heavily beforehand because I was like, what if I can't drink out of a straw? I'm constantly drinking out of a straw. Like, what it you know, and so one of my other girlfriends got it done first, and she was like, Oh no, it just gave it just gave a little bit of like plump looking, but honestly, like it I feel like it wears off faster than any other Botox on my face.

So I think you can have that I'm not gonna say reaction because that's kind of the wrong, but like outcome, I guess. Um you I think the only time you have that outcome is if you don't have very much top lip in the first place. Like my top lips are or was it injected differently? That's true. I don't know. My injector, I have always told her I want it to look very, very natural and not be too much.

So I'm the science girl inside me because I wish I was a woman in STEM. It because I like to know how everything works and I have to understand the chemistry or whatever. So my inside brain, STEM brain, wants to say they just injected it differently or injected the wrong muscles to give her that result.

I mean, possibly, possibly, but like, I mean, is there that many muscles up there? I don't know, not a doctor, but I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 19:03

So no Botox a couple of weeks into a wedding, because A, it takes at least depending on your metabolism, it takes, you know, 10 days to 14 days to get a full effect. So it's and if you've never had it, it takes longer.

And it's like then you really don't know what's gonna set it. You're like, oh, it's fine, it's fine, it's no big deal. I can still move my face, and then two weeks hits, and you're like, oh, that's different.

And some people get sagging too.

Or like sometimes I just saw I think one of the first times I had Botox, I was going to a different injector, and um, and I felt like my smile was different, and like I could like it was really fresh Botox, and we had like family photos at the beach, and I was like, I why do I look so weird? And it was because like the Botox was not where I wanted it to be. So keep that in mind if you're you know, take you're gonna be taking pictures and your face is frozen. Um, you know, you may not quite look like yourself in pictures, so keep that in mind, and like lasers or any of that kind of stuff, like you want to give ample time for your skin to recover from that. Um, but I mean I do recommend those for people before they're you know, brides and stuff like that, before they're getting professional makeup done. You know, it is nice to have your skin looking you know great and glowy and healthy beforehand, but just time, yeah.

Cause because when I do makeup, I think the biggest I mean if you think about the face, if you have a beautiful glowing complexion, you don't need that much foundation and your face is going to glow. And plus, like to our point about Emmy, if you're happy and you're radiating that joy and happiness, you're gonna look beautiful no matter what. A hundred percent. And as far as hair goes, I would say this girl on Saturday with the most beautiful straight dark hair, glossy hair, asked me, What should I do to have my hair look more beautiful? I'm like, your hair already is perfect, like it's shiny, it's straight. Not saying that curly hair isn't beautiful, but it can look more dull, maybe, than straight, glossy, dark hair. But I said, your hair looks fantastic. So I would just leave it alone. And then if we need to cut a few pieces or face framing around your face, that's great. Because don't you love it when the girls come in with one-length hair below their bosoms and they want tendrils?

I that that is a conversation. I feel like I could have like in my sleep. Like, I feel the amount of times I have to tell brides and bridesmaids, I understand you want stuff hanging out around your face. You don't have a haircut that actually does that. Like, what are they doing in their Daily day-to-day life for their hair that they think that now all of a sudden they've got these curly tendrils they can have up front when their hair is all one length down to the middle of their back.

Like right, and they don't want to look like they belong married to George Washington or a founding father.

Like it's just like if you want stuff hanging out, we have to cut this. This is not this it just doesn't work. Like the math does not math. You have to have shorter pieces if you want shorter pieces hanging out. You can't have full-length pieces that hang out of an updo. You look like you got these like um I don't know, like you're right, George Washington, some sort of, I don't know.

Bridgerton with the coily pieces hanging. Like, be realistic here. Or be willing to have your stylist. Exactly. So just because you want to wear your hair up doesn't mean that you have to have hair halfway down your back. True.

And again, like I said to one of the other girls that's getting married that works for us. She's away usually at college. Don't be somebody you're not. Like, be you. Choose a style that fits your style. You can wear your hair up. I would say, do you get nervous when you get nervous? Do you get hot? Are you hot natured anyway? What does the top of your dress look like? What style is it? Is it romantic? Is it bohemian? Is it what's the what's the vibe? And then go from there and just start clipping pictures or pinning pictures with like hair color as yours. Because if you start pinning brunettes and you're a blonde, that style is gonna look a hundred percent different on you than it does on the photo. Because don't you agree? We could do the same hairstyle on everyone in the bridal party and it looks different on everybody.

Different hair colors, different textures, all of it looks different. So, you know, treat it as an inspo, not as a carbon copy, you know. I want to have this exact thing. Um, because it's just not gonna turn out like that, honestly.

Right. What about mothers said the bride, grandmother said the bride, you know, or mom or or groom? What do you think?

SPEAKER_01 24:28

For the most part, what I see is like they just want to look like themselves, um, but like a little like gussied up, you know, like most of them don't want to do um like a full updo kind of thing. Some do, some do, because they're like, oh, I'm just so hot natured. They're you know, they're in that time of life where they're like, I'm having hot flashes all the time and I'm gonna be running around. So I need it all up. But a lot of times it's really just doing what they would do on a normal basis, but in a you know, more professional way. So, you know, the grandmas, it's a lot of just blowouts, giving them fresh curls, teasing it up, making sure, you know, if the wind blows, it's gonna all blow the hair in one helmet, you know. Um, and then the moms, it's just really like this is what I normally do. Um, but I like some volume here. I have a little bit of a hard time getting volume here. So if I could have volume here and um, you know, just make me look nice.

But and their makeup, I feel like how do you feel about a trial for a mother of the bridegroom?

SPEAKER_01 25:37

Do you want my honest opinion? That always feels like a red flag to me. Um because I generally have seen that those are it's either like a really nervous Nelly kind of mom and really unsure of literally everything, which that kind of energy throws me off. So that is, you know, I'm like, oh no, red flag energy, or or it's the mom who is trying to make the entire wedding about her and not about her bride, daughter, daughter-in-law, whatever.

I think a lot of people have questions, especially moms of both sides, about the makeup and how the makeup, because I would say 80% of them maybe have never had their makeup professionally.

SPEAKER_01 26:37

I think that that day in time, like it just didn't go get their makeup professionally done, even for their wedding days. You know, like I think my mom had her hair done, but I don't know that she had her makeup done. I'll have to ask her that, but I don't think she had her makeup done. I think she just had her hair done professionally, which you know, I mean, it's beautiful and you know, has beautiful skin and everything, so that probably worked out fine, but I just don't think that that was done like like my generation coming up, you know, like we we get our makeup done for prom and for homecoming and and our hair and all that.

But wouldn't you go to the makeup counters?

SPEAKER_01 27:14

Makeup counters, makeup counters, but but also there's not that many stores to even do that in anymore.

SPEAKER_02 27:20

Right, and I think social media has brought the accessibility of that as well, because individual freelance makeup artists can advertise, like, hey, I do bridal makeup, da-da-da-da. So maybe that's how it's become a thing because I didn't know anywhere that you could get makeup done other than in-home Mary Kay way back in the day, or at a makeup counter, and then you're pretty much feeling like you have to buy something from the makeup counter.

I remember that. Like they might not charge you, but you need to buy like three products or something like that to like make it worth their while, which I mean, rightfully so. It's work, and you know, they're putting in their you know, time and effort into it, their time. Um, so I will say I do feel like it's sort of red flaggy, but I do think that a lot of times the moms who are a little bit anxious once they see what happens at their daughter's trial, they're kind of like, oh, okay, this will be fine. Like they don't feel as anxious, I guess.

Right. And one of the things that a lot of people ask me, clients in the salon, what type of makeup we use for events. We use airbrush foundation. And so I think the curiosity lies it will it sink into my wrinkles anymore? Will it do this? I don't believe it does because it goes on light, it's buildable, it stays in place, so it's not going to make wrinkles stand out any more than any other type of wrinkles.

And I think also like dressing, you know, with the right stuff, like having the skin moisturized and adding in, you know, the um primer beforehand, like all that fills in a little bit of those cracks so that the the makeup can just lay seamlessly on top. So I think that's also important with it. And but I I and I also think that a lot of moms get a little feel a little more comfortable because you and I are not 20-somethings putting on their makeup. You know, I think they can see like, okay, these women are one, they've been doing this for forever, and two, like they've got more mature skin like I do also.

Um and I think the key with that, at least with my own, and I don't have a crazy makeup or facial routine or anything. I cleanse once a day, and I am a huge believer in exfoliation and moisturizing. Two things, but I don't use a scrub because my skin would not do well with a facial scrub. My my skin's too sensitive. So I find just using like natural HA's alpha hydroxy acids from usually they're derived from like fruit acids or different things like that to help exfoliate the surface cells and moisture, moisture, moisture. That's it.

I think that's solid, solid advice.

SPEAKER_02 30:26

And I think that goes for everybody. I mean, really, because if you're 20-something, you're still dealing with acne. So exfoliating or doing a good toner at the end of your cleansing and then moisturizing, no different than if you're in your 40s or 50s or 60s. So I think solid for mothers of the brides or grooms out there. Find a good exfoliant for you and moisturize your face.

Right there. And somebody else the other day told was talking about back to getting their hair used to not shampooing their hair every day. It's like training your hair not to get oily. It's no different than with your face. So, like in your if you're 20-something and you're overcleansing, your face is trying to make up the oil, the natural oil production that it's losing. So it goes into overproduction. And I did that to my skin in my 20s. I never had acne till my 20s, and I was overcleansing, overcleansing, and then all of a sudden, boom, I have adult acne. Yeah. So don't overcleanse your hair, don't overcleanse your face, just moisturize though.

Um, okay, so what do you how do you feel about trials for brides?

Trials for bride.

I think a trial for a bride is money well spent because whether you choose, and I tell people this on the bridal calls we have, whether you choose us as a vendor or somebody else, you need to vibe with that person. Meaning you, it's our business is all about communication. And if you can communicate well with your stylist and convey the look that you're wanting, I think that's a go versus going to somebody because your friend went to this bridal stylist and they had a great updo. And I don't necessarily think the more you pay, the better results you'll get either.

I think that's and especially honestly, just not in the bridal realm, you know. I mean, I hear so much from brides, like everything is just so expensive, and like I've been a bride, Holly's been a bride, like everything is so much exponentially more expensive once you say this is for a wedding, you know. It just does, and I it's you know, BS that that's what it does, but it's true. Um, so I think a lot of times um the hair and makeup just gets outrageous, and I can't really figure out why it's so outrageous, um, as far as pricing goes. Because I mean, we've had brides that have told us, you know, they price chopped around and you know, this, that, and the other. And I mean, they're paying, you know, a thousand dollars for a bride to get her hair and makeup done, which is um, I don't mind pricing our services for what we offer because like I I'm a talented artist, Holly's a talented artist, like absolutely like we're not gonna look, we're not just gonna be like, oh yeah, we can do your hair for $20. Like, no, no, because we've practiced our skills, we've gone to schooling, we've done all the things, like absolutely education, but price it fair. Like, sometimes it just feels like gouging for no reason. Um, I agree, but that's how I approach it. I and that's not every stylist to say that you know that uh maybe she is worth a thousand dollars. I don't know. That just seems a little steep to me. I don't know.

But know your market too. Like the the majority of our girls are probably under the age of 40 getting married, obviously. Like not 90%, maybe are a hundred percent. So, with that being said, like income level, like literally, it may be they may be on their parents' budget, but why gouch people? To put yourself in their position. That's how I've always tried to run business is yeah, I value my time and my skill set. And but how would I feel on the other end if I was the client or the bride? Agreed, right? Agreed. And one thing that I'll say about you and I, and not to toot our own horn, is we are dependable and we are timely, and we have a system down that could rival a lot at teams out.

I think that that's like that's part of the trial is just getting to, like Holly said, getting to vibe with a person and make sure, like, okay, this chick, like, she's got it together. She's, you know, she knows what she's talking about, you know, they've got a system down. You can see Holly and I working together, um, whether you know I'm the only one doing trial or Holly's doing the trial or we're doing it together. Um, I mean, you can see us working in the salon side by side and chatting with each other. So I think you just get to see all that and feel all that when you do a trial. Um, so I would always recommend a trial, even if you're like, oh, I'm not really a you know makeup kind of girl or I don't really care. It's you know, whatever. Um, I still think it's good to just get to meet the stylist. I was laughing when Holly was out of town. I was trying to actually give her a vacation. And so I called back one of the wedding, um, the bridal inquiries, and had a chat. It was a mom, and actually the her daughter was she came for one of my trials this weekend, um, and she was lovely. But I talked with the mom and I was like fumbling through this phone call. And I after a went minute, I was like, I know I sound like I don't know what I'm talking about. I just don't generally end like I don't deal with this side of this part of the business. Holly deals with all these calls. I was like, so I know I sound like a flake, but we really have done this a billion times. Like, I'm not an idiot, I just don't usually have these phone calls. And she was like, no, no, no, sound fine. It's okay, it's okay. But I thought, I sound like I have never done this before. Total amateur hour, like I don't know what I'm talking about. And I just I had to tell the lady, like, I'm so sorry. One, it's been a long day, and two, I this I'm not usually on the side of this business. So, but I will show up for you and we'll do your hair, we'll do your makeup, and we'll do a great job. But please don't make me have any more of these conference calls because I stink at them.

Oh my gosh. And I really think that the world has gotten engaged this summer because how many calls like I was when I was on vacation and you had that call with the mother of the bride, yeah, you have three more calls that day. Like I had four, four calls that one day, and then I had four calls sign up for last Monday, and then I had more calls scheduled like every single day, like my schedule. I don't really feel like this is a big engagement season.

Like I feel like it's the holidays that are engagement season. So what's this about?

Yes, yeah. So we've had like brides galore lately, so we'd really felt like talking wedding talk was key because coming up, most people think we're busy in the summertime doing weddings, and that's not true. It's just too darn hot here in Georgia. So our wedding season is really moving into September, October, even to November. So we have a lot of upcoming weddings, like every weekend, I think in October is booked, which should be fun because that's probably around the time frame we'll be moving this along to. It's gonna be one day last week. I said, I don't even know how I'm alive and handling all of these things and moving parts right now. So yeah, if you don't get the best version every day of us, that is probably why. We've just got a little bit going on. A little bit going on. So I would say, for a word of advice, your goal for your wedding day, whether you're the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom or the bride or bridesmaid, try to look like the prettiest version of yourself. That's our goal is to help you enhance your own look, enhance your beauty, to make you feel comfortable and beautiful on the day, your special day. I would sum that up to that. Don't try anything new. No new hair color, cut, skincare routine, no lipo, no, no BBLs, no any of that. Like, do that. Don't do your face on and off time. No facelift, no makeshift facelift, like with the tape that we've seen. Yeah. Oh, all of the things. But a trial is exactly a try. We're trying a look, we're trying a makeup, we're trying a hairstyle, and then we build off from that. But don't you agree that all of our brides or mothers or whoever gets a trial look more beautiful on the day of the wedding?

Oh my gosh, I always feel like it turns out better the day of the wedding. Like the makeup, the hair, it's just like I maybe they're just glowing more on the day, but like I just it always comes out better.
