Gregor and Hattie are kicking off their first ever podcast.

In this episode, they share how they met at the gym, the story behind Gregor’s long-running gym crush, and how a random Instagram message eventually led to their relationship.

They also talk about how they started creating social media content together, why their gym comedy videos took off, and some of their most embarrassing gym moments - including broken feet, falling barbells and questionable old TikToks.

Expect gym chat, relationship stories, quick-fire (not quick) questions and a proper introduction to who they are beyond the videos.

SPEAKER_01

My name's Gregor.

SPEAKER_00

And my name's Hattie.

SPEAKER_01

And this is the Gregor and Hattie Podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Where we're going to talk everything gym, life, relationship, work, a bit of everything, really.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and also you guys, as we'd love you to get involved.

SPEAKER_00

In this episode, we talk about how we met, how we started social media, some embarrassing moments in the gym, and we also go through some quick fire questions.

SPEAKER_01

Let's get into it. We are very excited to announce our very first podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Yay!

SPEAKER_01

If you don't know us, my name's Gregor.

SPEAKER_00

I'm Hattie.

SPEAKER_01

And we are a gym couple. You've probably seen our videos, Jim Creep, Jim Crush, but we wanted to do a podcast to show who we really are, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Which is very exciting.

SPEAKER_00

So for the first episode, we thought we'd talk about kind of how we met, who we are, and what we do.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So I guess you all will wonder how we actually met. Yeah. And it's quite an interesting story. Um, I will explain where how we met from my side, and then you can explain.

SPEAKER_00

And then I'll do from my side, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Your side. So we met at the gym, the gym that we film at, every single video, if you've ever seen it, it's in a big yellow gym. Very, very easy to see, very distinctive.

SPEAKER_00

Recogn distinctive, yeah, yeah, very distinctive.

SPEAKER_01

No, I get that right. But yeah, we film every every single video in there.

SPEAKER_00

Um for like five years now.

SPEAKER_01

For like five years. So I'll explain my side. We basically met in Simply Gym, and I Hattie was my gym crush for probably two years. Long time. You and my gym crush, and I used to get excited, I used to come to the gym at the same time. Sounds really weird. I used to go to the gym at the same time, obviously, because I'd finished work and I'd go at the same time. So what time?

SPEAKER_00

6 p.m.

SPEAKER_01

It would be like 5 30, 6 pm. But that was your window. Your window was 5 30 to 6 30. And I just had to be there then and I'd see you. Some days you weren't there at last. Yeah, I'm gonna say, was there any days where you went and you were like, Yeah, because it was like if you've ever had a gym crush, you'll know what I mean. But it's like gym crush motivation. So when I when you were in there, it wasn't it was good.

SPEAKER_00

I've never had a gym crush.

SPEAKER_01

Really?

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

It's kind of sad. Anyway. So I used to go to the gym at the same time after work every day. Sometimes you'd be there, sometimes you weren't. But I used to have a good session if you were there.

SPEAKER_00

Now and it was a bad session if I wasn't there.

SPEAKER_01

It would just be just a normal session. But I used to go with my mate, I used to be like, oh my, that girl's like we were quite obsessed with you, and also your friends. Both of you were obsessed with me. Well, I was obsessed with you, and then Will was obsessed with you, or every friend.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um, so that was that. But then obviously you're never really gonna approach a gym across like I never came up to you, I never spoke to you. Um probably should have, probably should have manned up and actually done that.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like not a lot of people do approach people in the gym though.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not the right place to do it, I don't feel. Yeah, a strange one. But you should do it because you have so much in common already, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but the way you went around it was actually a bit better, but yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I think the way you go about it is probably quite important.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So anyway, the way I went about it is didn't know Hattie's Instagram, so didn't actually know what her name was at all. And then someone, literally two years later, after I first ever saw you, someone posted you and tagged your account. Now, clicked on it, and lo and behold, she actually had a well, it looked like she had a boyfriend, so I stood well away, and then I was like, oh well, that's that then. She's not my drum crush anymore, or she can't be because she's got a she's with someone. Anyway, then someone else posted her, and I clicked on that, and it was a different account, it was still you again, and I was like, but there was no boyfriend on there, and I was like, okay, this is weird. Do you have a boyfriend or don't you have a boyfriend? So I just thought, shoot my shot. So you found my old account I found Hattie's old account, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That I was locked out of.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that you were locked out of, so you couldn't. So it looked like she had a boyfriend. So I was like, okay, now does she have a new account and just like not have a boyfriend? So I've shot my shot, shoot my shot, and then I messaged you, didn't I? Yeah. And said, really, really, really random question, but do you have a boyfriend?

SPEAKER_00

And I thought, that's not random at all. That's not a random question.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not, is it? It's just a question completely random. Um but yeah, you said no, so I was like, okay, well, I'm sort of in, but I'm not actually in yet. And then we were just chatting a little bit, weren't we?

SPEAKER_00

I think we had like four messages.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then I ignored you.

SPEAKER_01

And then you ignored me. Well, I actually asked, I actually asked you, do you want to go for a drink? Oh, yeah. Some food. And she ignored it.

SPEAKER_00

But I had a weird thing when I was younger, and like around that time that I didn't like eating in front of people.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yeah, fair.

SPEAKER_00

So that probably was like, oh, there's a lot of new person don't want to go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And that's one of them. Yeah. Um so yeah, then I got ignored, and then I was looking for a GIF for honestly, about an hour.

SPEAKER_00

With my sister, we were going for all the gifts that I could send to a gift as if as in like a GIF on Instagram.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. To send to you so it would be like so I could get your attention, maybe make you laugh a little bit. And I looked genuinely for about an hour, and then I found one from Star Trek that said, My communication has been ignored. I'll try and find it and put it on the screen because it's hilarious, and it worked. And then, like, maybe six hours later, you replied and go, Yeah, I'd love to. And then that is how everything started, really.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then I'll probably explain a little bit more about how we met, like our first date and stuff. But do you want to explain your side?

SPEAKER_00

So my side starts with the Instagram messages because I didn't know who you were. So in the gym, obviously I'd been Greg's gym crush for like how long did you say? Two years. I didn't and apparently you said that we kept making eye contact.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I thought we did anyway.

SPEAKER_00

But I didn't I didn't make eye contact with you once. I didn't know.

SPEAKER_01

Well, you need glasses then.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't know who you were. And at this time I didn't have glasses, but I have contact lenses now. So I probably didn't even see you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Probably a bit of a blur.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So at that corner of the gym.

SPEAKER_00

My first like communication with you started when you DM'd my new account, the one that I, you know, actually had. Um, and it's was the random question thing. Do you have a boyfriend? So then I looked at your account and I was like, he's like 40.

SPEAKER_01

40?

SPEAKER_00

I thought you were so much older than you are.

SPEAKER_01

And you replied to a four-year-old, that's weird.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe not 40, maybe like in your 30s.

SPEAKER_01

But from your Instagram pictures, if anyone Well, I just put like an edit, like a massive edit, like uh not massive edits, it was just a different colour change.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like that that filter.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, filter, that's it.

SPEAKER_00

That makes you look really tanned and like I used to lift them. Like the 2016 filter.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But it was probably when was it?

SPEAKER_00

2020. You look really old, and you had pictures with your sister, and I thought your sister was younger. But your sister's like how many years older? Seven, eight?

SPEAKER_01

No, she's like, yeah, five, six.

SPEAKER_00

Five, six years older than you, but I thought you were like way older than her. Yeah. And I think a lot of people do.

SPEAKER_01

Mad.

SPEAKER_00

So I thought you were older. And then I did a bit of like stalking, and I realised there was like people we knew that followed from like the year of the same year as me, so we were probably similar age. And then the next thing I didn't know how tall you were, because I'm five foot ten.

SPEAKER_01

So I was like, She's about tall.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So I thought I can't really well I could, it doesn't I just like taller people. So I was like, I need to know how tall he is before I reply to him. So in the gym, I saw you there like maybe a couple days later, and I was literally measuring Craig on the machines of how tall he was, and then going and standing so on the on the cables, it's got the little holes of the measurements of how tall you are, but not how tall you are.

SPEAKER_01

So you were basically seeing where my head finished.

SPEAKER_00

And then going and standing next to it myself and seeing if you were taller than me.

SPEAKER_01

And was I?

SPEAKER_00

And you were by quite a lot. And then I think I did article height at one point and you said six foot three.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I was like, yes, that's good.

SPEAKER_01

Because you wouldn't want me shorter than you know. No. No problem.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well nothing.

SPEAKER_01

Would have been a big note. I would have got fully ignored, would I?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Which is, I don't know, I think it's just a thing for girls. And also short girls like tall guys, so it's kind of difficult to get a tall guy now. Um and then you messaged me, no, then I ignored your message of asking to go out for food.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know that hurt.

SPEAKER_00

And I was talking to my family about it. And I was at I'd only just come out of a relationship like not long before, so I was like, I don't want to see anyone, I don't want to speak to anyone, like I don't want a boyfriend. And then my auntie was with me when you sent that GIF. And she was like, Oh, just just like go see him. Like, what's the worst that could happen? And I was like, No, no, no, I don't I don't want to, like, I'm really not bothered. And she was like, Go on, go for it. So then the next thing I did was go down to Devon to see you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, which was like wow, rogue.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so Greg had like a holiday family home in Devon that he you went there most weekends.

SPEAKER_01

Probably about 10 lads, all down there.

SPEAKER_00

All of his friends, and um I just he said as a joke, I think, come down and see me. It was a joke, it was a joke, yeah. And I said, Okay.

SPEAKER_01

But you did.

SPEAKER_00

So me and my friend went. Um, this is a big caravan.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, this was that was crazy. Like the fact that you actually did that, I would never think you would do something like that. But you did it, it was very rogue.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was really rogue.

SPEAKER_01

And I just said it because I had a few like you know what, a few sh few drinks, and I thought I'd look tipple. We learnt that word the other day. We learned that word the other day. Tipple means drink, I guess. Did not know that. Um But yeah, then you came down, didn't you? And then we've literally spent every day together since that day, every day.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Literally every day we've been with each other. And now it's five years on.

SPEAKER_00

Five years later.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe six?

SPEAKER_00

No, it's five. Okay. It's literally five. It's our anniversary this month.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, is it? Yeah. I knew that.

SPEAKER_00

Do you know Greg doesn't know when my birthday is?

SPEAKER_01

I do. 22nd of September. 22nd of September.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he's made a real effort recently to know because I caught you out.

SPEAKER_01

Just guessed. No, I'm joking.

SPEAKER_00

And I know your phone number off by heart.

SPEAKER_01

No, I don't know that. Yeah, but I'm not very good with that. As we'll get into. That's not I'm not good at that. You're you are. What? Just like numbers and like remembering stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's fair. Yeah, so that's the story of how we met.

SPEAKER_01

That is the story of how we met. Crazy story.

SPEAKER_00

You were head over heels.

SPEAKER_01

And you weren't.

SPEAKER_00

I thought I was why is this guy stalking me?

SPEAKER_01

I was just a blur, a blurry image in the gym. Yeah. Because you couldn't even see me. And I was certain you were making eye contact with me, but I was so wrong. Oh well. Still got ya.

SPEAKER_00

Still got me.

SPEAKER_01

Still got ya. Alright. Do the first impressions.

SPEAKER_00

What was your that was it?

SPEAKER_01

No, but I I Okay.

SPEAKER_00

My first impression was often.

SPEAKER_01

I was just gonna maybe like a one-word thing. What my first impression was of you.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Are you ready?

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_01

I thought you were tall.

SPEAKER_00

Really? I thought you were old.

SPEAKER_01

No, I didn't actually think you were tall. I f no you were quite tall, but I just thought you were very, very friendly short, though.

SPEAKER_00

Five foot two.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So you didn't know.

SPEAKER_00

All my friends are five foot two, five foot three.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But yeah, no, you were very beautiful.

SPEAKER_00

Aww.

SPEAKER_01

And all. Um right, what's next? What's the next one?

SPEAKER_00

Wait, say it again.

SPEAKER_01

What? Say what again?

SPEAKER_00

What your first impression was?

SPEAKER_01

At all.

SPEAKER_00

No, the other one.

SPEAKER_01

Beautiful.

SPEAKER_00

Aww.

SPEAKER_01

So this is another story of actually how we started social media.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Quite crazy. So we met in April. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Started social media in November. So we were we met in April. We were together in well, July officially because I asked you to be my girlfriend. You asked me to be your girlfriend in July. Yeah. Which is another story.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

And then November we started social media. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That's actually quite crazy because how we started it is I was out in Cheltenham and I was on the drinks. And then I came back and I was like, oh my god, I've got an idea. And like when I have an idea, as you will explain, it's an idea, right? And then I'm like, I get so carried away with it, and I will just keep pushing, pushing, pushing until it's until I've done it. Like if I say something, I'm I'm doing it, no matter what it is. So I came home, I was like, why don't we start social media? We both love the gym, like we always went to the gym together, we were obsessed with it. Let's make a joint account. And I said joint account straight away. And it was probably like not it's not even been done before in like the gym. Like no one, no gym couple was ever thing.

SPEAKER_00

There's more now, but this was in 2020.

SPEAKER_01

20.

SPEAKER_00

2020.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so I was like, let's be like the first gym couple. So yeah, we started making videos. The first video is honestly very tragic. I think it was just us doing like six sets of whatever. It was really, really bad.

SPEAKER_00

I always had really bad form.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It's actually tragic. We looked so serious in it as well. But yeah, that was jokes. And then we were just making video after video, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And we were doing all gym workout stuff. Which was not really doing very well.

SPEAKER_01

No, they weren't doing around. Maybe like 20 views.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they weren't doing great.

SPEAKER_01

Um which is fair. And then we did one, didn't we? And it was like it was like loads of clips.

SPEAKER_00

No, I think no, the first one that blew up was trying different weights in the mach trying different weights on the machines in the gym.

SPEAKER_01

Really?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, do you remember because I had a camel toe?

SPEAKER_01

Uh oh yeah, that one blew up. Mind. That one went up.

SPEAKER_00

That one, but that is why it blew up.

SPEAKER_01

That was like millions of views, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was a lot.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, crazy.

SPEAKER_00

But we kept it up.

SPEAKER_01

For the wrong reasons. But we thought. And then yeah, we just started making like just came up, we just sit there and come up with idea after idea, video after video.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That's when we realised that like comedy.

SPEAKER_01

Comedy hit.

SPEAKER_00

Even though that wasn't really meant to be very funny, but comedy is what would do well for us.

SPEAKER_01

People just love to laugh at us.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they didn't really care about our workouts at all.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_00

So that's when we started Gym Crush.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Which is like that's what's carried through all of our videos, pretty much.

SPEAKER_01

But it's like so relatable even to us, like you were my Gym Crush. I mean, Gym Creep, that's that's that didn't happen, guys. No, that was that was made up. Yeah, that's all made up. That's just like quite jokes to make them up. But yeah, that is how we how we started social media.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Just you drunk on a night out, and I just went, yeah, okay. Shut you up, really.

SPEAKER_01

And I was there like making all the accounts on Instagram, TikTok. Yeah. I was like, what should we call it? What should we call it? Gregor and Hyde, let's just name it our names.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And that was it.

SPEAKER_00

I'm glad we named it our names though, and not like something weird. Jim Couple. The best gym couple ever.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Forever. Jim Couple forever.

SPEAKER_01

That would have been tragic. Yeah, I'm glad we just stuck. We've never changed it.

SPEAKER_00

We've not changed our profile picture on TikTok.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

I'm I'm I was gonna say fluorescent blonde. I'm like bright blonde platinum in it.

SPEAKER_01

And I'm way bigger now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Agreed.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But I don't know, I feel like that's part that's like our identity on TikTok. I don't want to change. Maybe we should change it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But we don't have really very nice pictures together now.

SPEAKER_01

No, I know.

SPEAKER_00

We need to probably take more, but we just Even our Instagram pictures quite old.

SPEAKER_01

They're both really old.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they're both old.

SPEAKER_01

One's at Gymshark, HQ, and then the other one's at when we did the Everlast. Everlast, which was probably like our first ever First shoot. Shoot, yeah. Crazy. Definitely need to change that. That's a long time ago.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Embarrassing moments in the gym. Have you thought of these? Have you had a think?

SPEAKER_01

I sort of. It's not really that embarrassing. No, it's no pretty mate. It was pretty embarrassing, actually.

SPEAKER_00

You gonna say it?

SPEAKER_01

Yours is really embarrassing.

SPEAKER_00

My embarrassing moment in the gym. I didn't think I had any embarrassing moments in the gym, but I do.

SPEAKER_01

You do have an embarrassing moment. I do have embarrassing moment. I have an embarrassing moment in the gym.

SPEAKER_00

Do you want me to say mine?

SPEAKER_01

Go on.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so mine was This is really embarrassing. It's not that I'm it's embarrassing, but it's actually quite sad for me. So I was basically on a barbell what's it called? Rack.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

A barbell rack. And I had the I had the barbell with no weight on, and I was moving it from the floor to put on the rack.

SPEAKER_02

And you didn't.

SPEAKER_00

So I flipped it, think I thought I looked sick flipping this barbell. And then it just fell straight out of my hands.

SPEAKER_01

Straight from like from like my shoulder height. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Straight onto one foot. It didn't hit the other foot. It literally landed on one foot, and because it had no plates on, it literally all the weight of this 20 kilogram barbell went straight on the I don't know what bone it was, but it was like the top bone of my foot. And honestly, I I don't know if I made a noise, I don't know if I screened or anything, but you know when you're just hopping around like in pain, when you stub your toe and you're like hopping around. So I was doing that, and I was trying to get Greg's attention and I was like, oh my god, I'm like in agony here. And you were, I don't know what you're doing, you were just like listening to your music across the other side of the gym, bopping around. So I think I called you and you came over and I was like, Greg, I've just honestly, I don't know what's happened, but I've I've really hurt my feet. And Greg was just laughing at me, and then he was like, Well, I'm like halfway through I'm halfway through my workout. So, like, do you want me to help you like hop you over to this bench and you can just sit down and like wait for me to finish?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I didn't actually understand what you're doing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I know, but so I was like, yeah, okay, fine. So I had I took my shoe off, I took my sock off, and I was just sat there with this like fat foot on a bench waiting for Greg to finish his session.

SPEAKER_01

Once I like came over, no, it was only like five minutes. But once I finished I came over, I looked at your foot and it looked like it was blowing up. Awful.

SPEAKER_00

It was blowing up.

SPEAKER_01

It was tragic.

SPEAKER_00

And so I was like, I was crying at this point because I was like, this is actually like agony. Probably waited like three days after this, went to get an X-ray and it was broken. Yeah. And I sat and waited for you to finish your workout. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I sound like a really bad boy from that.

SPEAKER_00

But you didn't know it was broken. No, I didn't know it was a big thing. No one knew it was broken. And it wasn't like and I am a bit of an overreactor.

SPEAKER_01

Massively. But But it was bad. It was bad. Like, can you imagine 20 kg from like up there?

SPEAKER_00

Oh and that is embarrassing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that is bad.

SPEAKER_00

Like I even think sometimes getting hit by a car would be embarrassing.

SPEAKER_01

But like I just don't get how you've just gone and just like dropped it.

SPEAKER_00

It slipped out of my hands. I was flipping it, because obviously you've got to flip it around, it's gotta be a bit loose.

SPEAKER_01

I thought you might have just dropped it from like maybe like knee height. No, shoulder. That must that's that must be.

SPEAKER_00

It fell straight out of my hands.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's embarrassing. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But that was actually a blessing in disguise because that made me quit my job.

SPEAKER_01

True, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's when I quit, isn't it? Yeah, yeah. Because I work part-time. We're not talking about our jobs. Are we in this or not? I can't remember. But anyway, I worked part-time. I dropped out of uni and then I worked part-time as a receptionist and I hated it. And this was when we were like just starting our social media. We were maybe we were like a year in.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I dropped this on my foot, and obviously, like walking up and down stairs at work and everything would just was just not possible. So I I had to have a certain amount of months off, and then I just handed my notice in and I just went full time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, mad.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, some good came out of that.

SPEAKER_01

What done for breaking your foot now? My most the most embarrassing thing that's happened to me at the gym is I don't even no, it is quite embarrassing when it happened. So, like, you know, the barbell. Don't worry, I didn't drop it my foot like you. But the barbell, and then I don't know why when you just like in the zone, I took there was two 20 plates on each side, and I took both of them off just on one side. Yeah. And it just weren't cool. And like the noise was so luckily, obviously, no one was there.

SPEAKER_00

That is embarrassing, and you've just got to stand there and watch it.

SPEAKER_01

And you just gotta stand there, and it's just like you can just it's all happening like in slow-mo, it's like going, go, and going, there's nothing you can do, you just gotta let it happen.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And then it makes like the I thought no one was there. I know. Dangerous. Gyms are actually could be actually called.

SPEAKER_00

Gyms are dangerous.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, you broke your foot.

SPEAKER_00

I broke my foot, you could have killed something.

SPEAKER_01

You could have hurt someone. Yeah. But yeah, that that's pretty embarrassing. It was just a little bit.

SPEAKER_00

I've got something that's embarrassing that you've done.

SPEAKER_01

And then everyone stares at you like that's just not good, is it? And you go bright red. Yeah, not a good feeling.

SPEAKER_00

Did you just have to go clear it up after?

SPEAKER_01

What?

SPEAKER_00

The all the stuff that had fallen on the floor.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah, I was saying I shouldn't just leave it there.

SPEAKER_00

That's the most embarrassing part, I think.

SPEAKER_01

What were you about to say?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, there's something embarrassing you've done.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, what?

SPEAKER_00

For a video that we've done together.

SPEAKER_01

I've done a lot of embarrassing things for a video.

SPEAKER_00

I think that's probably the embarrassing things you've done mostly.

SPEAKER_01

We've done stuff that like makes me want to like vom.

SPEAKER_00

It was like getting ready for the gym, and you laid everything out on the bed. Do you know which one I'm on about?

SPEAKER_01

And then there was a fong in it.

SPEAKER_00

And then he wore my thong.

SPEAKER_01

And then and then I like I went, so it was like at the start of the video, it was like putting everything on the bed, shorts, t-shirt, shoes, socks, fong. And then I like squatted down in the squat, and then you can see the fong.

SPEAKER_00

Hanging out the top.

SPEAKER_01

Oh god, that's awful, isn't it?

SPEAKER_00

Honestly, if I if I go still gets likes to this day.

SPEAKER_01

If I go back and watch videos, our old videos, I can't.

SPEAKER_00

There's ones of Jim Crush and it's like when my Jim Crush used the machine before me, and then you go and sniff it. And it's just you following me round sniffing all the machines.

SPEAKER_01

It's always those videos that get like that do well.

SPEAKER_00

Millions of views. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Do you remember the one like the cable one, right? So you're like Pulling the cable and it goes through you between your legs. Yeah. And it's like rubbing on you, and then I ro run over to it in like a slow dramatic way and then like sniff it like what?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like how I miss those videos. You miss them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we should do them. We should do them again.

SPEAKER_01

The views were crazy.

SPEAKER_00

I know.

SPEAKER_01

I'm I'm a little bit older now. Don't think I can. Frental lab has developed. I don't think I could do that in the gym.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe.

SPEAKER_00

You I think you would really, actually.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you've got to hype me up. You'd have to always have to hype me up.

SPEAKER_00

Thing is, yeah, you would do anything if you're getting hyped up. I've noticed.

SPEAKER_01

You hype me up and I'm doing it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You just have to hype me up.

SPEAKER_00

Anything if I go, yeah, go on, Greg, let's go. Come on. Yeah, yeah, you'll go. Yeah, okay, I've got it.

SPEAKER_01

I literally like a kid, aren't I?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like, yeah, I can I can do that.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It's sick.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_00

What was it the other day in the house? We were trying to do that trend where you hold your toes that yoga pose. Yeah. Me and my friend were going, Greg, you've got it. I reckon you've got it. You're so close. You're so close.

SPEAKER_01

So I was million miles away. You were so close to giving up, then you're like, yeah, I've got it. My legs had to like come behind me, didn't they?

SPEAKER_00

And then I couldn't do it. I don't think I think gymnasts can do it. Yeah, it was pretty hard.

SPEAKER_01

I did really you didn't really make me believe I could do it, though.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I know. And you were so far off.

SPEAKER_01

I know, it was tragic. Tragic.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so we've got Who's More Likely to Gym Couple edition.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so we well these are Who's More Likely to? Yeah. Quickfire edition.

SPEAKER_00

Not quickfire, because we're just gonna talk about quite a bit.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, who's more likely to questions?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. Do you want me to read them?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, go on. Hit it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Are we just gonna point?

SPEAKER_00

No, we're gonna it's not quickfire, we're gonna talk about them.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Just questions. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Who's more likely to skip a gym session?

SPEAKER_01

100% yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I agree.

SPEAKER_01

Yes yeah. It just is. I go to the side.

SPEAKER_00

Only recently. Because you're on it with your training.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But you because you're training for something makes difference. And you've got a coach.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Makes a difference.

SPEAKER_00

Makes a massive difference. Whereas love the gym? You love the gym. But also like I would skip it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's that then. Don't need to talk anymore about that. Okay. Who has the worst gym music taste?

unknown

Ugh.

SPEAKER_00

This is just like I would argue you have the worst music.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, but this is this is our the one thing that we do not have in common. We are like on the other side of the spectrum. It's music.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I love like house, afro house. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I do like that as well. But with words.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But our p our whoever's driving the car gets the music. Gets to play the music.

SPEAKER_00

Which is fair.

SPEAKER_01

So I just drive all the time, it's easier.

SPEAKER_00

You don't drive all the time. I drive all the time.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know. No, you don't. I drive. I do the long journeys. You do the short ones.

SPEAKER_00

We drove five hours the other day. Yeah. How long did you drive?

SPEAKER_01

Half of it.

SPEAKER_00

Half of it. And on the way back, how long did you drive? Half of it. Half of it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know, but. So that's exactly the Usually though, come on. Like if we're driving for sisters.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not coming on, no.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

I don't agree. Anyway, my music that I listen to is I listen to really slow songs at the gym.

SPEAKER_01

Don't know how you lift to that.

SPEAKER_00

No, I I find it better.

SPEAKER_01

You just like listen you like your charts music, don't you?

SPEAKER_00

I listen to the official top 40, yeah. But at the moment I've been listening to for the last two gym sessions, same song on repeat. It's called Say You Love Me. By Jesse Ware? No. I don't know who she is, but you'll know this, you'd know the song.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I really like Justin Bieber at the moment.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

After Coachella, his tunes are actually so good.

SPEAKER_00

Because Greg came to me and said, Have you heard Justin Bieber's new song that he sang at Coachella? And I was kind of like years old. I don't think he's got a new song. And he was like, Yeah, yeah, his new song is so good. It's a banger. What was it? It's a Daisy. Play it for me. Play it. It's Daisy's.

SPEAKER_01

How long's it been around?

SPEAKER_00

So long.

SPEAKER_01

So long. It's like years. But every it is trending again.

SPEAKER_00

Because he sang it.

SPEAKER_01

Because of Coachella.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's a good tune.

SPEAKER_00

See, so you you're not really in the music world of like is it like commercial music? I don't know. You're in more remixes, E.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

DJ.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You're top 40. I'm more of like.

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm not always I'm I listen to my DJ on Spotify.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I just love my music. That is my guilty pleasure in that music. Like I love music. Like I will fly to Mexico to loom to watch DJ. Because I love DJs.

SPEAKER_00

You love DJs.

SPEAKER_01

No, I love music, not DJs.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, next question.

SPEAKER_01

Um I don't know, what is it?

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna say it. Go on. Who's more competitive?

SPEAKER_01

Me.

SPEAKER_00

You.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Just because I compete in high rocks and running races. Just really competitive.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I hate losing.

SPEAKER_00

You do. So whereas I prefer other people to win.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you are.

SPEAKER_00

It's a really bad trait of mine.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_00

I'll there'll be an idea, there'll be like an opportunity that I could do, and I'd be like, you'd be so good at that, go do it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and you just wouldn't do it yourself. That's that is It's a really bad trait. It's nice, but it's like also For everyone else. Yeah. You should really do that, but really like Really, I should do it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But I'm like, you go do that, yeah, that would be really good for you.

SPEAKER_01

That is what you do.

SPEAKER_00

That's why you're good with me because you push me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But otherwise I'd just be like.

SPEAKER_01

Meh.

SPEAKER_00

Nah. It's really bad.

SPEAKER_01

It is bad. That's a bad trade.

SPEAKER_00

But at Netball, I'm competitive.

SPEAKER_01

But that's why like our relationship works so well. So like if I have an idea, I'll come to you, like, and like I will like push it. I'll be like, we're doing this. We have to do this. But then you're like the brains behind it because I don't like awkward situations.

SPEAKER_00

So like if if you're pushing for something and someone's saying no, I'd be like, oh, they've said no, that's really awkward. And you'd be like, no, no, I'll try again.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'll keep trying.

SPEAKER_00

I'll keep going.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sure that's true.

SPEAKER_00

What is that saying? They're only ever if they don't say anything, they're only ever gonna say it's that no, every no is closer to a yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That is it? Is that what I say?

SPEAKER_01

Is it what is what do I say usually?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know, but what you say about money is if you don't live like that, if you don't buy like that, you'll never live like that. That's my favourite saying of yours. That's the one that always sticks in my head.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And it really helps me out because I spend my money.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So you run out of money and then you're burst.

SPEAKER_00

And then you are a bit stuck, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's true though.

SPEAKER_00

But it really helps me when I see like a nice outfit I want, I'm like, if I don't spend it, if I don't buy it, I won't have it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And then you like nice you will like nice things and nice things cost.

SPEAKER_00

Cost money, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Next one.

SPEAKER_00

Next one. Oh, I look really awkward and stuff like that.

SPEAKER_01

How can you see yourself?

SPEAKER_00

No, I could just feel like I was like something like that. Who's more likely to start an argument during a workout?

SPEAKER_01

Interesting.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um no, I might start the argument, but you would be the one that starts it.

SPEAKER_01

Huh?

SPEAKER_00

Do you know what I mean? You would uh you would annoy me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I would probably do something because I'd be asking.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you would do the thing that would start the argument.

SPEAKER_01

So you would I would I would do the thing, but you would shout at me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, fair. I can get that. You agree? Yeah, only because I'm annoying. Yeah. And if I'm like in an annoying mood after I've had like my pre-workout.

SPEAKER_00

You've only recently started having pre-workout as well, which is kind of scary.

SPEAKER_01

Why?

SPEAKER_00

Because you're not used to it.

SPEAKER_01

True.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I like it though. It's good, isn't it? It's good stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Does yours make you itch? No.

SPEAKER_01

Mine is it? You've got one that anti-itch is anti-itching one?

SPEAKER_00

Mine makes me itch. I like it.

SPEAKER_01

You have those little shots. They're pretty powerful though, to be fair.

SPEAKER_00

I've got ten of.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. We won't talk about that. We'll talk about that in the next one.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Because it's quite funny.

SPEAKER_00

Right, so you would start the arguments.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Who's more likely to skip legs?

SPEAKER_01

100% me. Yeah. Yeah. It's me. I just don't like the feel of it, it just hurts.

SPEAKER_00

It's a lot harder than upper body, I've noticed recently.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Just hurts. I always do it. I will always tick a workout off and I'll always push myself. I don't necessarily enjoy it.

SPEAKER_00

No. See, I like training legs. Not quite.

SPEAKER_01

But then you say actually, you skip more sessions than I have ever skipped. So maybe a year.

SPEAKER_00

No, I wouldn't. I don't.

SPEAKER_01

I'm on a plan. I've got to tick those workouts off.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but no, I do go to the I do go to every session, really.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, you are good. You are consistent. You look great as well.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. I know.

SPEAKER_01

So you must be going to the gym if you look good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So I I actually don't think I do skip workouts unless like we so we'll say we went to stay with your sister and we were doing something at 9am. I wouldn't go out of my way to get up at 6 to go to a gym that I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

When I haven't eaten.

SPEAKER_01

So that's the difference between me. Like, I will be planning if we're going to look at the local area. I'll be like looking, okay, I'm a member there at those gyms, I can go there. Like I'll search it out. Because if I don't train, like even when we were in Wales this weekend, not angry, just like feel guilty. I hate the feeling. I didn't when we went to Wales this weekend, training in the morning before we drove there, and it's supposed to it was supposed to be a double day.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So when I got there, even though I trained, in my head I felt guilty because I didn't I didn't do the other session. So it's just like on my mind. It's awful. I hate that.

SPEAKER_00

But what you did do was spend quality time with me having a cupper watching Tyson Fury in bed.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that was nice. Really like tea at the moment.

SPEAKER_00

You've had it too tight.

SPEAKER_01

I know, but I like it. I like tea at the moment. I've never drank tea. She keeps making she keeps going randomly. Do you want a tea? And I'm like, no, no, we don't want to tea.

SPEAKER_00

Literally the last two nights.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We don't have a kettle, so I boil it in the No you did it last week as well. You didn't have a tea. You had a you didn't have one. I had you said no. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Oh yeah, but you didn't have it.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, I haven't had it.

SPEAKER_00

So we don't have a kettle, so I've been boiling it in the pan. Did you know I've been doing that? Um and I bought a pack of PG tips because like we had some like floral tea, but I didn't really like it.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think you tried it, did you?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Like it literally tastes like you're drinking a flour.

SPEAKER_01

PG tip tea bags.

SPEAKER_00

PG tips. That's what my parents have on the page.

SPEAKER_01

Real. Having one of them and I squirt a bit of honey in last night. Wow.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Felt so like it's good. Felt so like chilled. Forget why you have the tea now.

SPEAKER_00

Better than decaf coffee.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know, it's just it's a different mood, like tea at night, watching the TV. That was nice. I like that. I'll do it again.

SPEAKER_00

We can keep doing that. You can do the boiling water.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no. I was just about to say if can we just keep doing it so you can. We can get a kettle. We'll get a kettle. Yeah, we need to get a kettle.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I like that smeg one. Can we get that smeg one? Promise?

SPEAKER_00

You get it.

SPEAKER_01

You've just said it on the podcast.

SPEAKER_00

You get it.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, I'll bet. Can we get that one then?

SPEAKER_00

You can get that one, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I like that one. Or go with the kitchen.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I don't know if there's any more. Hang on. That was it. Have you got any more to add?

SPEAKER_01

No. That was the that was our first ever pod.

SPEAKER_00

No, I mean any more who's more likely to's add.

SPEAKER_01

Oh no. No. I didn't write any down.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but can you not think of any off the top of your head? Go on. One.

SPEAKER_01

Who's more likely to I actually don't know.

SPEAKER_02

Just a quick one.

SPEAKER_01

Um, because it's just like throw myself in You can't do it. No, I can't, because it'll just be it'd just be me or something. Everything that's I'm thinking of is like me. What is it like putting you in a bad life? Yeah, it's out in myself. I don't want it out myself anymore. You've already out with me with all of them with me anyway.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um no, I don't actually, I can't really think of any. Who's more likely to sweat the most? No, huh? Yeah, I'm I'm a sweaty guy.

SPEAKER_00

Very, very sweaty. Very sweaty.

SPEAKER_01

Do you know what really concerned me yesterday?

SPEAKER_00

How much you sweated?

SPEAKER_01

How much I didn't sweat.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

Honestly, I did an hour and 20 minutes on a treadmill. No puddle around me or anything. I was I was actually a bit worried.

SPEAKER_00

You and your friends disgust me.

SPEAKER_01

I know we are disgusting. Do you know the worst bit about it all?

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_01

Washing? I actually cannot deal with.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I think you've all like got something weird about you where you try and sweat.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, if if I don't sweat, I'll it's like I haven't had a workout.

SPEAKER_00

But no one I'll do the same workout as you. Kind of like a different level, but same workout.

SPEAKER_02

Will you?

SPEAKER_00

So if we went for a run together, same I will sweat with the same speed, same run, same distance, you will literally be soaking wet, and I'm not even sweating.

SPEAKER_01

I know, yeah. You just might have like a sula.

SPEAKER_00

What now?

SPEAKER_01

No. Sweaty upper lip. That's what you get.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I get a sewer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you do get a sea.

SPEAKER_00

I thought I had one now.

SPEAKER_01

No, no. No, but you do get them. Quite funny, actually.

SPEAKER_00

Um but honestly, no one understands how bad it is in the gym. Greg and his friends all go on the treadmills next to each other.

SPEAKER_01

Jucking people just like think we're disgusting in the gym.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and it it's sweat flying like on each other, next to each other, all over the I'm surprised the thing doesn't like set on fire with your sweat going on in in all the buttons on the bit that you run on, like you probably could slip over.

SPEAKER_01

To be fair, I always do clean it up. To be fair.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well done. I do clean it up.

SPEAKER_01

There are people in the gym that don't. Not that I know, but and sweat worse than me. Who? Don't know. Don't know anyone. Don't know the names. But no, you should clean your sweat up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. You should. Some gyms make it compulsory just to like even put a towel on it. Machine when you sit down.

SPEAKER_01

That'd be effort though.

SPEAKER_00

Want to carry a towel around with you?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I think so.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

What? And you've got to lie it down on everything. I don't know, like in like different country, like the whole of Europe, they do that. They just don't do it here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I quite like the idea of that actually, but I wouldn't want to be the only one doing it in the gym because then I'd think everyone was thinking that I think I'm really sweaty. Yeah. If everyone did it, I'd like it, but I wouldn't want to do it myself, just my just me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, that wouldn't be.

SPEAKER_00

Then it's like shit telling everyone you've got a sweating problem.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah. I think that maybe they should do it here.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Put it to them.

SPEAKER_01

I think I'm gonna start a petition.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

You're gonna sign it?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'll sign it. That's all my sections I had down to speak about, yeah. So if you've got anything else.

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm I'm happy with that. That was our first pod. I really like speaking to you. I did. I feel like we should do it more.

SPEAKER_00

Well, speak to each other. Yeah, I feel like we just don't You're really bad at speaking to me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, only because I'll tell you why.

SPEAKER_00

Your brain it was feels like it's gonna self-combust constantly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because there's just so much going on.

SPEAKER_00

And since I've had my retainers as well, it I hate it because I'll say something to you and you'll say, What was that? I'll say it again and you'll go, sorry, I wasn't listening. What was that? And then I'm like, I've got a list. That is my struggling to speak and you're all making me repeat myself.

SPEAKER_01

I will admit that is a really bad trait of mine.

SPEAKER_00

But it's just sometimes it's quite awkward because you're just like you're just sat like on your phone or whatever you're doing, and I'll say something, everyone else hears that I've said it except for you, and I'm just sat there, like even if I do it again, he's not gonna respond to me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but like I feel like I'm talking to you now and like my head's not gonna self-combust. It's great.

SPEAKER_00

It's good, yeah, but yeah, it's because you're concentrating.

SPEAKER_01

It's really good.

SPEAKER_00

That's good. Do you know I haven't been able to see your face this whole time?

SPEAKER_01

Really?

SPEAKER_00

Can you see mine?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, that's us.

SPEAKER_01

That's us. This is who we are. That was our first ever pot. High five. I don't want to be a mum. Can't be asked. That was sick.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But yeah, we'll be back. Let us know what you want us to talk about next time. If you have any questions, if you have any embarrassing moments in the gym. Embarrassing moments in the gym. Let us know. DM us, DM us anything. If there's anything you want to know about us or yeah, absolutely anything.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're open to it.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely. Thank you for listening to today's episode. If you did enjoy it, like, follow, subscribe, wherever you're watching. We will be seeing you again very soon.
