Good Morning, Subconscious
What if the most powerful work you could do for yourself happened while you were falling asleep?
Good Morning, Subconscious is a guided meditation podcast designed for the two most receptive moments of your day … the quiet just before sleep, and the stillness just before you rise.
No busy mind to push through. No willpower required. Just you, your subconscious, and a direct line to the beliefs that have been quietly running your life.
Each episode combines the science of cardiac coherence with subconscious reprogramming techniques to help you identify, release, and replace the patterns held deepest in your body and mind.
Episodes come in groups of three, each one building on the last. Moving from, releasing what’s been stored in the body, to tracing it back to its origin, to installing a new identity that your nervous system recognizes as true.
Topics include money mindset, worthiness, self-worth, receiving, generational patterns, anxiety, and the stories we inherited and never thought to return.
This podcast is for you if you’re done with surface-level affirmations that don’t stick. If you’ve done the work, read the books, been to the therapy, know the patterns intellectually and you’re ready to change them at the level where they actually live.
Good Morning, Subconscious was created by Stephanie, a certified HeartMath Practitioner specializing in stress, anxiety, and self-regulation, and a certified RTT Practitioner. Her work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, somatic healing, and subconscious reprogramming and her voice has a way of taking you somewhere you didn’t know you needed to go.

Your body has been sending you signals your whole life. A discomfort you couldn’t name. A knowing that something wasn’t right. A feeling you pushed down because you were taught that there wasn’t space for it.
This episode is the beginning of something different.
In this first session of the Becoming Yourself Freely series, we go back to where it started. Through a heart-centered induction and a subconscious regression, you’ll find the part of you that learned to abandon yourself in order to belong … to keep the peace, to be loved, to hold everything together. You’ll understand what job that part has been doing for you. You’ll thank it. And you’ll give it something new to do.
Then we install the truth your nervous system has been waiting to receive: your feelings are real, your needs are valid, and you are the one worth staying for.
Best listened to at night as you fall asleep, or first thing in the morning before you get out of bed. Headphones recommended. Please do not listen while driving or operating machinery.

Welcome back. This episode is going to be quite different from the many episodes that started this podcast. I would like you to think about your life. Think about all the times that your body gave you a signal and you ignored it. And that signal could have felt like being uncomfortable around a certain person or in places. And now think about what you did when you received that signal. Did you act on it? Or did you dismiss it? Did you push it away and tell yourself it wasn't real? Or that you were being too sensitive? Or that now just wasn't the right time. If you acted on it, that's great news. You're further along than you probably feel like you are. And if you dismissed it, that's okay too. Because now you know where you are and where to place your focus. And having that knowledge is the first step. So let's focus there for just a moment on having dismissed that feeling, that thought, that knowing that came up for you. Is there a certain event, a person, a place, or a connection that you can make to when those feelings came up and why you might have pushed them away? Because those signals were giving you real information, evidence about your safety or the lack of it. Evidence about whether you felt like you belonged to that place or the people there. Evidence that something just isn't quite right here. And I genuinely feel, especially for women, that society has told us for so long that we should just suck it up, stuff it down and get over it, or that what we sensed isn't real, that there's no proof. So what we felt isn't valid. And that is just not the truth. Everything in us is real. We are real and we are valid. So I want you to think about this. How can you move through even just a single moment differently? How can you move through one moment where normally you would stuff that feeling down or push it away, ignore what's coming up for you, and ask yourself, what would happen if I didn't stuff this down? What would happen if I acknowledge this feeling and I took action to validate it? What would happen if I got that feeling that the place I'm about to step into just isn't where I need to be right now? And I turned around, walked away, and got back in my car. What would happen if during a conversation with a friend who really wanted you to agree with them, that you allowed yourself to be okay with not agreeing? And instead of nodding along, you simply said, Yeah, I can see how that makes sense for you. And you moved on. And if they pushed, if they really needed you to agree with them, what if you gave yourself permission to find your way out of that moment? Compassionately, of course, because you love them to the core, and what they're saying just doesn't resonate with you. Because both of those things can be true at the same time. What does your life look like if you keep doing that over and over and over with every moment that comes up, with every situation that walks through your life, with every person, every place? What happens if you just listen to that internal voice, that internal knowing? What does your life look like? And if you're local to the Lake Norman area, I hope to see you at our live event on Sunday, August 2nd at 10 a.m. Details are in this episode's description. Now, back to the show. This series will follow a thread of how to recognize and feel and allow our emotions to be present, to take up space without trying to fix them and being okay with that. I believe that so many of us have simply never been taught the language of our own emotions. Nobody showed us that what we feel is important, or that the body speaks before the mind has an opportunity to catch up. That stuffing of feeling down does not make it go away. It only makes it louder, heavier, or possibly even physical. Stress, anxiety, a body that aches in ways that you can't quite make sense of, or all your nervous system trying to tell you something. And tonight or this morning, we're going to start listening. In this session, you'll be guided into a deep receptive state using the heart to guide you. And from a place of spaciousness, we're going to find where one of those dismissal signals lives in your body. We're going to understand what it's been trying to tell you and release the old story around it. Then we're going to install something new in its place. And just a note before we begin, this meditation is designed to be listened to at night as you fall asleep, or first thing in the morning before you get out of bed. And this is when your brain is naturally in the fatest weight and your subconscious is most open to receive the information. For the deepest benefit, listen consistently for two to three weeks. Your mind thrives on repetition, and real transformation happens in layers. Each time you listen, it goes a little bit deeper than the last. Also, please never listen to this recording while you're driving, operating machinery of any kind, or in any situation where your mind and body cannot fully rest and relax. This session is designed to bring you into a deeply altered state, and your safety always comes first. This meditation is not suitable for all listeners. Please use your discretion. You are in full control. Just make yourself comfortable, either sitting or lying down. Allow your eyes to naturally find a focal point. A spot on the ceiling or the wall, and just let your eyes be fixed there. Softening your gaze, keeping your eyes on that spot. Notice the edges of your vision beginning to blur. Notice that your eyes are starting to feel heavy. And you might notice that your eyelids want to close down. Maintain your gaze, allowing the spot to become fully blurry now. And just let your eyes close gently all the way down. And with your eyes now closed, take a deep breath in, all the way down to your lower belly, and let it all the way out. Take another deep breath in and let it all out. And one last time, deep breath in and let everything go. And now bring your attention to the space in your heart. Right there in the center of your chest. Feel your heart beating. Notice this rhythm and pulse. You might hear it in your ears or notice the pulse in your hands and arms. Tune into that rhythm. That steady beat. Just notice it. Feel it. And allow yourself to relax into that rhythm. And now notice that heartbeat beginning to expand. Like ripples on a still pond. Each beat of your heart sends a ripple outward. From the center of your chest out through your body. Feel it ripple up towards your head and down through your legs. Feel it in your fingers and toes. Your whole body pulsing with that rhythm. And as it does, your body begins to relax all on its own. Feeling the rhythm moving through you. And as the pulse of your heart moves through your body, feel it expanding outward. Past your body, filling the space around you. Feel your heartbeat filling up the room you're in. Every corner, every edge, expanding, relaxing. Feel your heartbeat pulse past the room, filling the entire building. Your heartbeat moving through the walls, the floors, the roof. Expanding, relaxing. Past the building now and into the neighborhood and city. The steady rhythm rippling outward in every direction. And with every beat, you are expanding, relaxing. Past the state and the country, your heartbeat expanding, steady, strong, expanding, relaxing. Past the coastlines, oceans, and the curve of the earth itself. And in this vast expanse, everything is possible. Creation is at its height. Everything can be seen, felt, and experienced. And you are here, connected to all of it by your heartbeat. And from this place of deep connectedness, something that has always been true is now fully visible. Notice what's around you. What do you see, sense, or feel is present? Are there any memories surfacing? Like old photographs turning through an album before you scenes playing like mini movies on either side of you as you walk slowly through a corridor. You are safe here. You are the observer. You are watching as the person you are today. And as these memories move slowly past you, your subconscious is drawing you towards something specific. A moment, a pattern, a belief where your feelings weren't welcome. Where you were too much or told that what you feel isn't real. Where you needed something and learned that your needs don't get to take up space. Let these memories turn slowly. And when something catches your attention, when a scene or a face feeling pulls at you even slightly, let it come into focus. Allow yourself to be right there. What feeling is present in this scene? What is being learned in this moment? What is being decided about yourself, about your feelings? Allow whatever it is to just rise naturally. And now staying right here in this expanded space, I want you to become aware of something else. Because in that moment, in that scene, a part of you stepped in. A part that looked at what was happening and made a decision. A very intelligent, very loyal decision about how you handle this, how you stay safe, and what it would take to stay loved and connected. And that part has been with you ever since. And I want you to find that part of you now. Maybe you feel it somewhere in your body, or you might just sense it as a presence, something that has been quietly running in the background of your life for a very long time. And I want you to ask that part, just gently in the quiet of your own mind, what job are you doing for me? And allow whatever comes up to just naturally be there. Maybe it's saying that my job has been to put others' needs before your own. Or maybe it says that its job has been to need nothing so that nobody leaves. Maybe it says something completely different. Tune into it. And now ask, how old were you when you decided to take this job? You already know the answer. Just allow it to be there. And ask, what were you trying to protect me from? And now acknowledge it. I see you. I understand why you came. And I know that you have been trying to take care of me. And now from this place of complete understanding, I want you to have a conversation with this part of you. Because the decision that this part of you made and the job that it took on made complete sense for the age that you were then, for the environment that you were in, and for the understanding that you had and what you had access to at that point. But you are not that age anymore. And that version of life is not the only version available to you now. So I want you to speak to this part now in your own words, in your own mind, and tell it. I understand why you're here. I know why you were trying to keep me safe and loved. And that I want you to know that I have heard you. I see everything that you've done for me. Thank you. And I want you to know that your job is complete. I no longer need to abandon myself to belong. I no longer need to silence my feelings to be loved. I no longer need to give everything and ask for nothing in order to be valued. That version of survival has served its purpose. And now it is done. Thank you. Thank you for helping me in all the ways that you have helped me. And now feel that part of you beginning to shift. Maybe it softens or exhales. Maybe it simply releases its grip. Every belief that told you that your feelings weren't real, every moment that taught you to push your needs aside, every decision that had you abandon yourself to keep the peace, feel it all releasing right now, dissolving, lifting, moving out of your body and into the vastness around you. Where it is received, understood, and transformed into something that you can use today. And if that part of you needs a new job, a new role, give it one now. Maybe its new job is to remind you to check in with yourself first. Or to notice when you're about to abandon yourself and pause. Maybe its new job is to be your advocate instead of your silencer. Whatever feels true for you, allow that to settle in. And now your subconscious mind is wide open, is listening. It is ready to take in everything I say and make it your reality. You learned a long time ago to push your feelings down. You learned this as a child. And that child made a decision. That child said, My feelings are too much. My feelings are not welcome. I need to make them go away to be loved. And that was never true. It was just never true. But you believed it. That small child's mind believed that those things were true. Because it's your mind's job, its only job, is to keep you alive and to move you towards pleasure and away from pain. So your mind said, That's how we stay safe. But you don't need that anymore. This is done. It is over. It is in the past. You are not that small child anymore. You are a fully grown, fully capable adult. And you get to choose differently now. So tell your mind right now. Tell it directly and clearly. I don't need that old program anymore. Delete it. It is finished. I am finished with it. Your needs are not a burden. Your exhaustion is real and it matters. Your joy is real and it is welcome. Your anger is real and it belongs to you fully. Your grief is real and you are allowed to feel every single piece of it. You do not need to fix it. You do not need to explain it. You don't need to earn the right to feel anymore. You were born with that right, and it has always been yours. And here is what is true. Here is what has always been true. Your feelings matter. Say that to yourself. My feelings matter. You are enough, exactly as you are, the way that you feel. Right now, in this moment, you are enough. And from today, your mind accepts these new beliefs as absolute fact. You feel your feelings fully and freely. You trust what your body tells you and you listen to it. You ask for what you need because needing is the most human thing available. And you are wonderfully, beautifully human. You say no when no is the truth, and you say yes when yes is the truth. And you stay with yourself first because you are worth staying for. You have always been worth staying for. And your mind knows this now. Your mind believes every part of this now. Your mind is making this a permanent and dominant belief right now, in this moment, for the rest of your life. You are enough. Your feelings are enough. And you are safe to be you in every moment from this day forward. This is the truth. You know it, you believe it, and you accept it. So rest here now, in this body that just did something extraordinary. You went back, you found the part of you that learned to disappear. You understood it, you thanked it, and you gave it something new to do. And now everything that follows will follow differently. Your subconscious carries this forward now through every breath, every moment of sleep, integrating everything that just shifted, making it real, making it yours. And if morning finds you here, still soft and still open, place your hand on your heart. Take one slow breath in and carry this with you. Your feelings are real, your needs are valid, and you are the one worth staying for. Rest now. All is well, all is safe, and you have become yourself fully and freely.
