I missed my boy, my cost host birthday. He was talking crazy so I had to respond to him
What up, what up, what up? This is your boy Cal Wood. One half of Frequency 99 media. The one half of We Got Motion of Podcast. And Frequency 99 is the umbrella. Global Mafia Entertainment is the shooter. And listen, special video, man. Listen, I owe my boy, my brother, the other half of Frequency 99 of media. The other half of We Got Motion of Podcasts, my boy P Dub. Listen, his birthday just passed. July 15th. I didn't wish my man's a happy birthday. Crazy. I had things going on, man. It didn't matter. I didn't wish my man's a happy birthday. I didn't wish him well. Happy G-Day to him. You know, I know he had so much fun. You know, I wish I could have been there, but I just want to let him know, man, that my apologies for that, man. And I got I want to tell y'all, I want to tell y'all a quick story about this man. A quick story about, you know, what we did and what we're going to be doing, right? I meet him, man, right? I was running an ad on Instagram. I meet him, he, you know, he slid in the DM, wanna do business. And I'm gonna be honest. In the beginning, I didn't know who the fuck this dude was. I'm thinking he's just another, you know what I'm saying, independent artist trying to be something. But when I tell you, man, I spoke to him, he impressed me. Now I talked to a lot of artists that don't have a lot of knowledge, and I don't mind teaching the game. But sometimes being a teacher can be exhausting. When I tell you this man had the structure, I tell a lot of artists, you ain't gotta have all the knowledge, but have the structure. He had the structure to with global mafia entertainment. Roster artists, videos, catalog, graphics. He knew, he was like a well, well machine, you know what I'm saying, to get things done. He just needed the proper marketing, um, a little bit of other game, things that he just didn't know for him to just be able to take off, him and his whole team. And he also wasn't selfish. You know what I'm saying? He was the CEO, but he had artists that he put before him. And that's real rare in a CEO, especially when you're an artist. You know, that uh it's very rare. So, you know, he is he got these artists, and I'm seeing what he's doing, and you know, everything's going good. He's getting his numbers together, I'm helping him with his data, I'm helping him with his marketing, I'm doing all of the work behind the scenes because he's doing all the work in front of the camera, shaking hands, kissing babies. He gets into a situation. I want to tell his business, he gets into a situation which caused me to have to fall back. I ain't know how to, I ain't know how to navigate it. You know what I'm saying? I ain't know what to do. And I was just being honest, and I'm the guy that has the answer to almost everything. But I did not have the answer to what he was going through, so I fell back, you know, and he felt the way. His family felt the way, the other part of his team felt the way. And they were all in their right, too. You know? And one thing about friendships, one thing's about brotherhood, when if it's real, it's gonna come back around. It's gonna be like it never left. And that's what happened. You know, we we we didn't speak for a couple years. It wasn't no beef. You know what I'm saying? It wasn't anything like that. Again, I didn't know how to navigate his situation. And I didn't articulate that to him. He was going through a rough time. And I just didn't, and and I and I left my brother something that I'll never do again. Ever do again. So we we we reunite. You know what I'm saying? Like like the splash bros. We reunite and we are rocking. We we we we were rocking like like nothing ever happened. We spoke like men. He told me some things how he felt. I told him some things how I felt. And when I just tell you, man, the the brotherhood just got is it's super strong. You know what I'm saying? Like, can't nobody say anything about him without going through me. You know what I'm saying? And that's just what it is. And you know, it's it's more than business. It became more than business, so I can understand why he took things personal, why I took things personal. But that just made our bond stronger. Now we're in business together, rocking, got the Frequency 99 media strong, got a plethora of artists, content creators. Um, you know, we're doing amazing business together. Um, and I'm just supporting everything he got going on. He got other things outside of Frequency 99 and Global Mafia Entertainment and um We Got Motion Podcast. He has another podcast, Sunday Cook Out. Shout out to Rec. You know what I'm saying? He got free, but not free. About to be one of the dopest nonprofits y'all ever seen. I promise you. I'm not just saying that. He already got the structure. I'm telling you, he already got all this stuff down packed. You know what I'm saying? He got so many things going on, working with some amazing people. You know, I can't speak on all this business, you know what I'm saying? But he got a lot of things in the work, and I'm just appreciative that he circled back around and said, Hey, yo, Cal Wood, listen. Regardless, I want you, I you know, I want to work with you. And I'm like, look, I'm honored that you want to work with me. Guess what, nigga? I want to work with you. You know what I'm saying? So, you know, through through that, and we've been rocking, you know, six, seven months doing what we're doing. I feel bad, you know what I'm saying? Missing his birthday. He may not feel, you know, no way, you know what I'm saying. He he's super lighthearted with a lot of things, but I told him, I said, bro, I fucked up. You know what I'm saying? Like, regardless of what I was going through, it ain't nothing but a call, it ain't nothing but a text, and I'll never want the miscommunication of mess up anything like it did before. So how I wasn't able to tell him that and you know, in private or publicly, yo man, I I have humility. I lead with it. You know what I'm saying? I lead with an iron fist, but I lead with humility for the people that I care about. It's my fault. Now I make sure that that shit don't never ever happen again. Regardless. That's my man, 100 grand. And you know, we're gonna be taking it to the top, taking it to the moon with this We got Motion podcast. Um, y'all go check it out. It's everywhere. You know what I'm saying? YouTube, Spotify, um, Apple Podcasts, Amazon, it's everywhere. I'm saying it's it's rocking. Check out his other podcast, the Sunday Cookout, rocking. Check out all the artists that we got. You know what I'm saying? Candy the violinist, uh, W I Mies, man, we got man, uh, man, it's only it's uh TELUS, um uh shit, uh Deleon's. We got a lot of people, you know what I'm saying? It's it's a lot of people, you know, a lot of people new to the roster, and I'm just appreciative that they also are rocking with us and trusting us with their careers, trusting us that we're gonna do the right thing. And because we are, because we we are we are men that lead with integrity, you know what I'm saying? We cannot be bought. Again, we cannot be bought, and we're here to just rock out, man. So again, dub, my brother, my brother, I apologize, my nigga. It ain't never gonna happen again. Because I know you wouldn't have done that to me, but listen, dub is listen, dub is he this nigga's like the hulk. You know what I'm saying? He's like a superhero. If it was my birthday, the man could have got shot in the arm, broke his leg, got a concussion, and still picked up that phone. And that's a fact. And I know that. So it ain't no excuse on my part, man. So I love you, my nigga. We're gonna rock out. We're gonna get this money, we're gonna get this success. We're gonna make sure these artists have everything that they need, everything that they want. And I'm out. Peace.
