Hello everyone, my name is Christopher Leon Rose. Um this is my gratitude journal for the 15th of the fifth, 2026. So um yeah, today's been I would say a very like busy day. Um I woke up late in the morning for work because I was basically so tired in the morning and um you know um I kinda had like a busy day trying to get to work and sorting out like medication and um obviously sorting out the repairs for one of my jackets and it was just a very busy morning and um I was just trying to get to work because obviously I had to work in today's shift, so I was just trying to get to work and you know it was just a busy morning. Um but as far as being grateful, um I'm grateful for the opportunities I'm able to do, um, the work I'm able to do, the way how I can continue to, you know, do the work that I'm doing and you know, try my best to um like um support people and help other people with my work. Also as well, I realize today from just a lot of observation and learning that you should never feel like um the work that you're doing is just gonna be too overwhelming or too stressful or too busy. I think um what I'm learning is that you know work's meant to be enjoyed because um if you don't enjoy your work and if you don't enjoy spending time at work then it becomes overwhelming and stressful and you're always sort of going on to task to next task to next task, and um I think that's how you get burnt out. So one thing that I learned today is that in my gratitude journal is that you gotta appreciate the journey of what you're on, and like today was very busy for me. Like I was I was so I was so like focused on just getting tasks done that even though I um did complete the tasks and they got done, but still you know I should have been enjoying the journey, enjoying the journey of doing my work and enjoying the journey of being in the office and um like um yeah, just like doing the work. So I think sometimes, especially when you're busy as well, your mind it gets like focused on just the daily grind of work where you're not appreciating how important the work is. Um, you know, um also as well what I'm appreciating is that you know I've got so many like health conditions, so I've got my mental health conditions of schizophrenia, psychosis and depression, I've got my physical health conditions of diabetes, I've got my learning disabilities of dyslexia, but even though I've got all of these ongoing problems that I'm facing, which is just part of my natural life as part of who I am, I'm still able to contribute in some way and do the work, so it's quite amazing actually. And I think sometimes when you're um like busy all the time, you don't appreciate the journey you're on, and just sort of how much work you've done and the way of how you've contributed, so it's so important just to like should I say appreciate it, you know, appreciate the journey, and um I don't I don't want my work to feel like it's just a task duty sort of thing. I'm just completing tasks to sort of um fulfill a deadline or fulfill a commitment that I've done to my work. It shouldn't feel like that. My work should be more um aligned to who I am, the person I am, what I'm trying to do for others, and my contribution really. So, you know, this is a really simple gratitude journal. You know, I'm just gonna appreciate the journey and um you know work shouldn't be work just for the sake of working, it should be much more spiritual and much more um sort of aligned to who you are. So with my work, um especially in the mental health sector, um, because I've always had mental health myself for many years of my life, um it's sort of aligned to who I am, so I think I think that's I think that's the thing that makes it more enjoyable because it's aligned to who I am. Even though today was one of those days where it was very, very busy, I was yeah, I was just trying to get to work. I I I was trying to do the tasks, I obviously my diabetes was playing up, you know, it does affect your moods when you have diabetes, it does affect your energy levels and your sugar levels. But um other than that, you know, I managed to get through, you know, do the day I could have even stayed in later than I could have today, but I chose to leave a bit earlier, not in a sense that I left early before five, I mean leaving at a time when the things were done, so it's like um yeah, I'm I'm proud of what I've done, you know, I'm proud of just being able to keep persisting um in the work I'm doing and um the resilience that I have to keep on like doing this type of work, so it's quite amazing actually, and uh um the persisting, you know, is a really um important thing. So I think like you know I'm I need to start aligning my work to who I am and you know I think that's the way you know I don't like I said, I don't want my work to feel like just ticking off a tick box of you've done this, you've done that, you've done this. I don't I don't want it to feel like that. I never I never want my work to feel like that. I want my work to be meaningful, valuable, uh contributing, making a difference, making a contribution, and um yeah, like I just have to keep it going and um you know just continue to grow and to continue to like help people the way I'm aligned to help people, so um yeah that's my gratitude journal for today. I could go on, but I think that's that's that's it for today, okay. Thank you for listening now. Bye now, thanks.
