SPEAKER_01

Hello everyone, my name is Christopher Rose. I'm an author, mentor, life coach, motivational speaker, evangelist, musician, and activist. Today I'm going to be sharing my gratitude journal for the 29th of the 6th, 2026. And today I'm just going to be sharing my feelings, my thoughts, my emotions, and how my day's been. So today I didn't go into the office today because I basically decided to work from home. Normally on a Monday morning I would uh commute to the office, um, work in the office from around 9 to 5, and then normally come home in the evening after work. Um today I decided to work from home. Um I have been a bit busy today. I had to sort out a few things at home because there's a few things I need to sort out. Um, even though I was working, but I had to sort of sort out things at home because sometimes it's like that when I um I don't get all the opportunities to do it in my week, I may have to do certain things when I work from home. Um, so that's always a good thing to do and um you know, some things have to get done. Um so working from home was alright today. Um just sorted out as normal my work, so as a Peaceport coordinator, referrals, emails. Um you know, um I don't think I attended I attended, oh yeah, um some uh meetings and um yeah, just like working from home and working from home is fine. You know, I do sometimes I need that like quietness to myself where I don't sort of go out, I just sort of stay in, um, work from home and like do my work at home. So I do appreciate it when I have those opportunities to. Um, you know, it's quite an of it's quite an amazing thing to work from home and not having to commute to to the office to um, you know, do your you know, your work and um obviously your shift in in your role. Um today I've just been sort of like um focusing on what I need to do, you know, especially when it comes to helping other people, the spiritual music, and my faith in my spirituality, which is what I try to focus on every single day and make time for it. Um I have been journaling today, I've only been journaling about certain things I did throughout the day, so I think I paid my rent today because I always have to pay my rent at a certain time of the month, so I just paid my rent and um what other things that I do today I oh actually that's yeah, I yeah, I actually brought some books. So I normally when I buy books it's like a um I normally call it a conscious thing because um majority of the time I do read, so I try to read books when I have the opportunity to. So today I actually brought nine yoga and spiritual yoga books and um yeah, just thinking about it, you know, I've you know I actually am interested in yoga and spiritual yoga and just buying the books would be very beneficial. You know, I have got um in my flat like a library of books that I've collected over the years, you know, ever since I've been like um like uh helping other people, giving back, making a difference. Um I've collected a lot of you know books that I can read. Um some of the books I do read and then some of them I don't. But you know, you never know what books you can read because there's always lots of information that can be shared to you. So um I have to wait for the next couple of days for my nine yoga and spiritual yoga books to come to my address. But that's okay because I'm not in a rush to just read them so quickly. I want to take my time, uh, get the books, of course, and read more about yoga and spiritual yoga, and hopefully it'll be beneficial for me if I can practice it. So it's all good like reading, but you know, are you going to practice like what you read and sort of um like do it within your life? So it's quite it's quite it's quite different when you read a book and then you actually actively do what the book says, so that's quite important, and um hopefully with the yoga books I'll be able to practice some yoga. I think I've done yoga a couple of times before, um, but I've never done it like properly alone, and I think for me it's gonna be like a very um that healing experience to just yoga and like be alone and sort of practice the positions and uh postures. Yeah, it's gonna be good. So I'm looking forward to see what I learn and then sort of like make it part of my journey and part of my life, so that seems to be a very important thing. Um today I think I've spent some time doing some book writing as well. So I was um basically writing I think it's my 46th book at the moment, so previously to this book I've written about I'll say 44 to 45 books, which I think now um a few of the books are available on Amazon as um ebooks, but I also have paperback books as well, so there's either e-books or paperback books that um I've I've shared over the years, and um you know our books are always available. Um but this book is a very specific book. Um when I write books I really take my time to, you know, just really write the book as best as I can. And um sometimes I could be, you know, busy, you know, working, you know, as a principal coordinator or on my second role as a bank support worker in the community because most of my work is done in the community. I don't normally work from home, I'm always in the community. So um when it comes to my books now, this is something I have to make the time for and the effort for. Especially with book writing, y you're not gonna just write a book in a couple of hours, it's gonna take a gradual, slow, steady process. So today and then tomorrow and then the next day, and the next day, and slowly eventually it becomes completed. I think in my um journey and especially in book writing, for example, it's like I've never rushed what I've written, you know. Sometimes I'm not gonna say I haven't been like I would say like um I wouldn't say angry, I'll say like a bit tired or a bit fatigued or a bit you know, frustrated sometimes because I'm trying to get information across in the book, and then you know, you get as as human beings do you get your feelings and emotions. Oh, should I be writing that? Why am I writing that? What are you saying? What are you trying to discuss? You know, and those sort of um feelings and thoughts come into your mind. But when you focus on the book you're writing and just think, do you know what this is gonna be an important book? How can I make it be the best book it can be? You know, how can I impact the most people? How can it serve as many human beings as it can, and what difference can it make? And I think you know what, like um, especially when I think about what difference can it make, it it it it it's like a it's like a it's like a project sort of thing, and with a project, you don't just say I'm gonna just do it quickly, I'm just gonna rush through it, I'm just gonna do what I need to do with my activities and jump onto the book. You know, you make in anything that's important to you, you make time for it. So for me, I made time for my book, and I don't always have the time to write my book. Normally, I wouldn't even share what I've written, but I'm gonna share a few things what I've written. I think it's quite appropriate for this podcast or for this audio. I'm not gonna go through the whole chapter because that'll take too much time, and time is not what I've got a lot of at the moment. So just gonna read a few things that I wrote today. Um, hopefully it helps, and um I hope it helps in some way, basically. So I was basically this chapter was a very important chapter that I wanted to write. So this is gonna be a new book that I hopefully get published at some point. I don't know when, I don't know when it's gonna come out. My books always have different time frames of when it comes out, but when it comes out, it'll be the right time in the right way for my new book. Um, this book was a very um important, you know, book, and this book has basically got a chapter in it called The Spiritual Silence is Spiritual Truth. So I spent some time today writing this. Um, and this is uh everyone will have their different ways of writing books, you know. Some people go, I've been a successful person, and this is the inspiration I'm gonna share. I've got like lessons I want to teach, and this is what I'm gonna share. I had this idea, and this is what I want to share. Um, my books are quite different in that aspect of things. It's not my book saying something like I'm just gonna share this because I want to share it. It has to have like um should I say a purpose to it, a meaning to it, a value to it, and if I find the chapters that I write valuable, then it'll be more valuable for the people that read it. So it's always that sometimes when you're writing books, you don't think about yourself, you think about your audience. What are they gonna learn? What are they gonna understand? How they're gonna grow, how would they evolve, you know, what would they get out of the book? And when you change your perspective, especially in book writing in particular, because a lot of people and authors are normally self sort of like self-um portraying sort of thing. This is the information I'm gonna share, this is how I write my books, this is my inspiration, this is my motivation, and my book's completely the opposite of that. I don't I don't I don't I don't sorry for laughing, I don't I don't I don't um I don't I don't brag and boast about what I write. I don't I'm not a flamboyant sort of person at all. I don't go this is my inspiration, this is my motivation. I've I've I just I can't I can't write books in that way. It's just not the way I write. For me, a book has to have a purpose to it, a meaning to it, a value to it, something that can help and and support people in some way. So I'm just gonna share a bit about what I was writing today. I'm only sharing a bit of it, not not all of it, it'll take too much time. So I said, um, through spiritual silence, we could discover the spiritual truth of Jehovah, Jesus Christ, and Buddha in the spiritual realms, which I think is important, especially in faith, spirituality, faith, and religion. Um faith, spirituality, faith, and religion is discovering the spiritual energy and the spiritual nature which Jehovah, Jesus Christ, Buddha wants us to find, seek, search in spiritual living and spiritual life. So this is very important, you know. Without faith, spirituality, faith, and religion, how would you ever know the spiritual energy or the spiritual nature? No one can explain to you how to find, seek, search your own truth. I think it's important that I read that in the world and society because that's not how you discover your relationship with Jehovah Jesus Christ the Buddha in faith, spirituality, fear, and religion. This is very important to learn and understand. So in spiritual truth, no one can tell you what it is for your own self, and that's it's it's it's it's it's one of those hardest lessons to learn. It's a very hard lesson to learn because there's always like um people are saying do this, live like this, behave like this, but you can't no one else can teach it for you. It's something you have to find for yourself. And if someone else teaches it for you, then if imagine if someone else took taught you how to find your spiritual truth, then what if their guidance wasn't right? What if their inspiration wasn't right? What if their motivation wasn't pure? So that's why you can't rely on another person's thinking, thoughts, or behavior to let you know what you need to learn for your own self, and that's quite true, actually. Um spiritual truth comes from spiritual silence, but you must connect to the spiritual silence to discover the spiritual truth which no one can give you. It's something that you find, seek, search within yourself. So it has to be found within yourself, no one can give it to you. You know, if anyone says they found it, they probably haven't. It can't be given by another person, you know. And I wrote I had a diagram basically saying spiritual silence, the no self, selflessness, know thyself, the spiritual truth, which is basically the journey of spiritual silence, the no self, selflessness, know thyself, the spiritual truth, the the journey of spiritual silence so it's so important, very important. Spiritual silence connected to faith, spirituality, fate, religion through spiritual silence, the no self, transformation, the self to the no self, no I no my no self, selflessness, spiritually helping other people and giving back the no self, faith. Oh sorry, find seek search for who you are, which is faith, spirituality, faith, and religion, the spiritual truth, learn and understand Jehovah Jesus Christ and Buddha. So the spiritual journey, spiritual silence, faith, spirituality, faith, and religion, spiritual silence, connecting to the spiritual present moment, spiritually living within the now, faith, learn and understand in Jehovah Jesus Christ and Buddha through faith, spirituality, spiritually connecting to humanity, animals, and universe through faith and spiritual silence, faith, your life purpose, your spiritual calling through spiritual silence, faith and spirituality, religion, spiritual change, and spiritual enlightenment of the no self, selflessness and know that self, which is spiritual energy and spiritual nature. Like I said, these are just things that I was writing in the book, you know, it's just just important lessons, you know. Um spiritual silence is everything in faith, spirituality, faith, and religion, which is something that needs to be a spiritual practice daily. Spiritual silence does not get discussed within the world of society because it's just something that humanity never discovers because discovering through a busy chaotic lifestyle, which is many human beings cannot find seek search for spiritual silence. I think that's quite true actually. Through spiritual science, you discover the spiritual alignment that makes you into the into become you will become in spiritual living and spiritual life. The no self, selfness and know that self is no not role, position, status, no. Um it is a way of spiritually learning daily life through spiritual truth. Um the spiritual truth is the most important thing in spiritual living and spiritual life. Fine without finding this finding seek and search in spiritual science, you cannot live in spiritual truth. Spiritual truth has no label, no role, no status, it doesn't have any attachment to it. That is how spiritual truth is no attachment, no label, no fear, no anxiety, no depression, just pure spiritual silence. Wow. When there's no mind becomes a spiritual liver, you go through a spiritual transcendence, which is spiritual change and spiritual enlightenment of the no self, selflessness, and know thyself. Wow, no mind, amazing. Faith, spirituality, fate, and religion truly teaches the no-self, selflessness, know thyself, which comes from spiritual silence. Spiritual silence brings spiritual beauty of spiritual living in all spiritual development. But the spiritual silence is hard to find, seek, search in a busy, chaotic lifestyle. So something about this book and something about this chapter that I sure I need to highlight in this podcast today, it's very important, and it which is if you have a like a busy lifestyle, chaotic lifestyle, always I I shouldn't say this too deeply, but it's just something I have to say right now. If you have a busy lifestyle, a chaotic lifestyle, constantly just doing, doing, doing, doing, doing, like you're never content, you're never happy, you're never joyful, you're never fulfilled, you're never being in the present moment, which is now. Then you realize this work, work, work mentality. It's just like you need to be, you need to just like live, like not always like working, working, work, working, working, working, working harder, harder, harder. Like it's like there has to be like a balance of just being, like, not always working on something, not always doing something, not always like um I've got this to go to, and then that to do, and then I've got this to do, and then that to do, and I've got this to go and on, and then that I need to do. I just be sometimes, just live with yourself, be content, be happy, be joyful, be fulfilled. I don't always assume that it has to be this like busy, chaotic lifestyle of just doing, doing, doing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and it's just this never-ending work mentality. It's it's not healthy when you live like that. You need that balance of just being, like, just living, you know. Just gonna share a few more points, and I don't want to go into the whole book well chapter of just what I've written today, it's a bit too much, but just a bit more. Um, you know. Oh, this is what I was yeah, this is something important actually. So I wrote in the chapter that suffering, pain, and adversity is what can lead to the spiritual truth of the no-self, self assistance and no dust self, which takes time and patience. I think as I wrote this today, it kind of reminded me of just like how important that suffering pain adversity is, you know. Like, I'm not saying that you know, like it's it's not easy or it's not difficult to go through suffering pain adversity. But I think in my own understanding of things that suffer and pay adversity makes all of the difference. If you develop the qualities from suffering pay and adversity, then you can live in spiritual truth. Spiritual truth doesn't mean you don't like live your life, it's it's more simple than that. It means you do live your life and you have that spiritual silence with with the spiritual presence within you. So you know, wherever you are, whether you're with people or not, whether you're alone or not, whether you're doing something or not, you're always content, you're always spiritual, you're always fulfilled, you're always happy. So you don't need another person's perception to make you feel a certain way. You you're naturally like that, you're happy, you're joyful, you're fulfilled, and it takes time to get to that point. But normally it's like suffering, pain and adversity you go through that least that spiritual truth, and that takes time, it takes patience. It's not you can't rush the no-self, self just and know those self so quickly, you know. And I think people don't discover this, they don't they don't know. It's it's one of those strange things, actually. They'll say, But why you keep why do you keep saying suffering, pain, adversity? That doesn't make sense. And I go, it does make sense when you've experienced it. When you've experienced the suffering, pain, adversity, that's what leads to spiritual truth. So normally it's the suffering, pain, and adversity you go through that leads to that spiritual truth, and that's very it's like it can work in lots of different ways, but the reality is it brings that compassion, it brings that kindness, it brings that generosity, it brings that love, it stops all fear, and that's a difficult it's difficult. Like it's not I've never I've never said it's that easy to go through like suffering pain and adversity. I think it's a difficult thing, I think it's challenging. I think it's the thing that do you know what it's it's very difficult, it's very, very challenging, but you can transcend it, you can change it, you can evolve from it, which takes time, it takes patience. And just before we finish, um I don't want to go too much more into this chapter because it's quite a lengthy chapter. Um basically said without the costly without costly paying without the paying the costly price of suffering pain and adversity, you do not know spiritual beauty. So this is a very important one. Without paying the costly price of um suffering, pain, adversity, you do not know spiritual beauty. So anyone that says that suffering, pain, adversity doesn't come with the prices that's involved with it, may have not experienced it to the fullest degree. Because the reality is majority of the suffering, pain, adversity we go through comes at a costly price. It's costly, it's not if if it if it wasn't costly, then do you know what why why why would we not experience it? If it's not costly and it comes at a price, then why would we not go for it? So that to find spiritual truth is costly, it's gonna it's gonna cost you something, it's not simple, it's not easy. And people say, but paying the prices uh it's just a costly price. It's it's part of your journey if you discover it. And you're saying suffering pain and adversity is a costly price, yeah, because it's costly. No, look, human when when you when you look at humanity, I've I've said this before briefly uh a few times in my messages and my podcast, my audience before. When you look at real reality and humanity, you don't want to suffer anything, they don't want to go through pain, they don't want to go through adversity, they more like it, you know, uh doing this, work, socializing, friends, family, it's it's like it's like oh my goodness gracious It's like it's like um it's like it's like most people are like like friends, family, relationships, work, career, opportunities, socializing when when you look at human beings that haven't paid the price to get past suffering, pain, and adversity, how how would you expect them to know what the spirit spiritual beauty is? Because they never went through suffering, pain, and adversity to discover it. They've always lived a life of comfort, they've always lived a life of security, they've always lived a life of reassurance, they've always live a life of happiness and joy. But that's not life. Life doesn't just come with happiness and joy, does it? I think there's always a balance to things. So when people say you're not meant to go through suffering pain and adversity, I always have to remind them. I say your life is not gonna be joyful for all you're living, you're not gonna have happiness every single day of your life, you're not gonna find fulfillment and meaning in the work you do every single day. Life has its ups and life says its downs, and life is like a journey, isn't it? There's no such thing as like a I'm just successful, rich, prosperous, and then the more happiness I get, the more joy and fulfillment I get, the more my life seems to be going in a great way. Life has it's it's never been like that. Everyone has the suffering, everyone has their pain, everyone has their adversity. So one part of this chapter that I was basically mentioning quite briefly in the chapter was basically the response. So the response makes all the difference. It's actually and I actually call it I think a word that I used in the book was the spiritual response. So your spiritual response makes all the difference. So I'm not saying that like um you know suffering pain and adversity is gonna be easy for every human being it'll be a different type of suffering pain and adversity experience. The only question that I have, and I've I've normally mentioned it in books and videos and audios a few different times as I talk and discuss these things. I normally say, like, what is your spiritual response to it? How what how is it the question that I normally put, and this is just me sharing my gratitude during as always? The question that I normally put is what has that taught you? Like what has the Saffron Paniversity taught you? Like what what have you learnt as a human being? How how has it shaped your um sort of morals, your values, your principles, your beliefs? Um how has it shaped the way you behave, for example? How does it shape your characteristics, your personality, your mentality? These things come to people who are prepared to go through suffering paying adversity. I think for most people who are not prepared to go through suffering paying adversity, they don't reflect on these things. How has it moulded you? How has it changed you? How has it encouraged you? How has it improved your life? How has it given you meaning and value? Where have you discovered your purpose from it? How have you found who you are from it? Because the suffering, pain, and adversity is always inevitable. It's going to happen. The only difference is the way you respond to it. How are you going to respond to it? Are you going to be unhappy for the rest of your life? Are you going to feel sad or depressed for the rest of your life? Are you going to feel miserable and down for the rest of your life? Are you going to use it as motivation? Because there's nothing in life without that suffering pay and adversity involved. So use it in some way. That's what I try to encourage in my books and my videos and my my audios and my talks. Use it in some way. Don't let it just be something that you know what I've gone through this, and this is my life, and you know what? I don't I don't have anything good in my life, and I'm going through this, I'm going through use it in some way. You use whatever you've gone through in some way, and however you use it will be different for the individuals. I'm not saying do what I do or live how I live. That might not be appropriate for some people, probably not, but for some it may for some it won't. Choose to use it in your own way. Um I could go on with what I read today. I I I choose not to do that because it's just too much information. But the reality see, the reality of this chapter basically is it's just that spiritual truth, really, and um, you know, it becomes everything basically because you're living in truth. If you if that's if you can discover it though, I'm not saying like you can't, and this I know it gets complicated as I and I'm just sharing my gratitude journal, but it gets so complicated. I'm not saying you can't have like um I don't know how to word it, like you can't have like family, friends, relationships that I'm not saying you can't if you know what if you're gonna like live your life, have your friends, have your family, have your children, get married, have your business, have your career, have your um possessions, have your holidays, have your food, have your drinks, have your love, have your romance. But it comes a time in your life where the spiritual truth has to be the answer you're looking for. So it goes back to something I've always said. It's not necessarily always the fun, joyful, happy things of life. If you live with the life of the joy and happy, fulfilled things in life, you miss what people are going through that way. You miss the suffering within the world, you miss you even miss you even miss the suffering within yourself because we've all suffered, isn't it? There's no human being that hasn't. So this is a it's a tricky one, isn't it? Because they'll say, But the suffering of yourself that that doesn't make sense. I'm had a I've had a joyful life up until this point. I've been content for most of my life, I've been joyful and happy. I don't look the suffering of human beings is not necessarily how joyful you become and how happy you get. Um I don't I don't find that as the um you know the the realness of of daily living. Daily living's difficult, isn't it? It's not like um you've got to work harder, you've got to earn more money, you've got to be bigger successful, you've got to have a people, it's like people put labels on things that don't really exist. There's no there's no such thing as a like a successful I don't know how to word it, business. There's no such thing as a successful marriage, there's no such thing as a successful educational children. It's it's there's no such thing as that. That's not how life life life is look when when when when when we when we when we get to the aspects of life itself, it's always the same thing. It's not it's not like um how successful you're gonna become, it's not how like bigger your life gets, how much joy and happiness you seem to find. Life look without without learning the suffering pain and adversity of your own life, then how would you develop that spiritual beauty? Because you have suffered, everyone has. Okay, you may be a faithful and spiritual person, that's fine, we get that, but what do they go through to get to the faith and spirituality? So there's no such thing as a definition of who you are, isn't it? So people say I'm like a um I'm a I don't know how to word it, I'm a uh entrepreneur, for example, I'm a um business owner, I'm a volunteer, I'm a career worker, I'm a professional, I am a mother, a father, a brother, a sister, a son, a daughter, a um there's no there's no there's no there's no label to it, is it? Is there is there a label to it? Or is it just life is moving, isn't it? And I think this is what gets confusing for a lot of human beings. They don't see that life is moving. The life life ain't moving with the labels you attach yourself with to it. Life is just moving naturally. So the labels you attach yourself to it. I am this successful entrepreneur, I am this wonderful um creator, I am this artist or um laborer or I don't know worker, for example, professional. When you get into life, these are just labels. They're the labels that we put on ourselves to find security and find comfort. When you put labels on yourself to find security and comfort, then you don't find the spiritual truth of your own life. The spiritual truth of your own life can't be discussed by somebody else giving it to you, can it? Can someone else give you the spiritual truth of your life? Or is it something you find in your own personal life when you discover it? So it's it's tricky. That's that's why when I write my books, I don't I I try my best not to go too deep into like I want to call it my philosophy or my way of living, I just call it just the way how I view things because it can become very complex and it can become very difficult to find out. But are you saying to me to not become entrepreneur? Are you saying to me to to not become a mother? Are you saying to me to not become a father? Are you saying to me to not have children? Are you saying to me to not live lavish? Are you saying to me to not live wealthy? Are you saying to me to not become rich? Are you saying to me to not have money? Are you saying to me to live faithfully and spiritually? Are you saying to me to live truthfully? And it goes back to what I just said now, it's all labels you put on yourself to find comfort and security. You're not your marriage, you're not your friendships, you're not your relationships, you're not your children, you're not your house, you're not your car, you're not your money, you're not your finances, you're not your career, you're not your business, you're not your volunteering, you're not your possessions, you're not your um belongings, you're not your food, you're not your drinks, you're not your socializing, you're not your um inspiration, you're not your motivation, you're not your encouragement, you're not your um goodness or gratitude or empathy or kindness. These are all labels we put on ourselves to find comfort and security within our own lives. A lot of people in life they search for that security, right? I have to be secure working within a job, I have to be secure working in a business, I have to be secure having a family and children, I have to be secure by getting married, I have to be secure by having a relationship, I have to be secure by having a lot of money and having wealth, I have to be secure by having a home and possessions and belongings, I have to be secure um because it's very important to my livelihood. These are the labels we put on ourselves as human beings, our securities, our um what we call attachments, isn't it? I'm attached to my wife or my husband, I'm attached to my biolog biological children that I have, I'm attached to my career, I'm attached to my business, I'm attached to my volunteering, I'm attached to my car, I'm attached to my motorbike, I'm attached to my clothes, I'm attached to my possessions, I'm attached to my belongings, I'm attached to my friendships, I'm attached to my jobs and careers and work. All these attachments are just labels, and that's how you have to view it. When you view it as just labels, then you don't have that attachment. But you say to me, Don't have a family, don't have friends, don't have a relationship, don't get married. I'm not saying to people to do it or not, it's up to the individual. I I I don't I don't choose to tell people what to do. If you want, for example, a relationship or a marriage or children, okay, get it, isn't it? Or if you want a business or of entrepreneurship or volunteering or jobs and businesses and careers and self-employment, however you want to word it, then by all means you you have to find a way to get it in your life. Look, I'll tell you, I'll tell you something before we finish, and this is what I'll say just before I can go on for hours and I've I'm mindful of time because you know I'm just a bit mindful of time, but this is just a simple thing I've learned all this time. Now I think this is this is this is what I've learned, and this is it it could you could say it's like faith, spirituality, fate, and religion. For me, I'm not gonna put a label to it or any I just I just won't put a label to it. I think that's just the way I would view it. In and I think this is it's it's basically for all human beings, all human beings will go through the same thing in their life because they're just human beings, so it's fine. It's okay to have this what I'm about to say, and it's okay to live like that because you don't like know any better, you you don't know anything else, so it's completely fine. And this is what it really boils down to, and I call the word attachment, I I think that's the right word to use attachment. Now, look because all human beings have attachments, right? And this is just the reality of human beings, we all have attachments, even even you can even say faith and spiritual people have attachments. Every human being has attachments, so there's not a human being that doesn't, right? So everyone does. If it's for example, I'm just gonna put different examples in this uh podcast and audio today. So for example, if you have an attachment to a career and a job, then that's your attachment to your career and a job. If you have an attachment to your friendships and relationships, that's an attachment to your friendships and relationships. If you have an attachment to your children and the children you have, that's an attachment to the children that you have. If you have an attachment to your spouse, your partner, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your husband, your wife, that's an attachment you have to your spouse, your husband, your wife, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your partner, and that's an attachment. So attachment is a natural part of life because if you don't feel attached to somebody or something, then you normally then not people normally say you you go off the wrong path, you know, you you do you do the wrong things, you live in a certain way, you I don't know. There's so many situations that come with attachment when you discover, and it it takes this to discover the spiritual truth of what I just written this chapter today, and I actually I don't want like I said, I don't want to go through all of it because it's quite complex writing that I did, right? If you don't stop attachments within your life, then your life becomes a life of always. Seeking for somebody's approval, always seek for someone's love, always seek for someone's happiness and joy if that's something you want to fulfill them. So you're never complete within yourself already. You're never complete with what you have, you're never complete with who you are. You're always attached to another human being or your children, or and that's a it's a difficult thing to learn that because it's just part of life. Like it's it's it's natural. Look, it's natural to have attachments to your family, it's natural to have attachments to your your children, of course. It's natural to have attachments to your spouse if you are married and you have a partner, it's natural, it's just a natural part of life, but slowly, after a couple of years, after a couple of months, after a couple of days, you're still gonna feel that attachment. So, for example, and I don't want to put this on people's lives because this will be wrong of me to do this. I'm just trying to share this in my gratitude journal today. Okay, for example, and it's happened to me, this has happened to me, so it's not like it hasn't happened to me because it has happened to me, so I'm I'm actually aware of me sharing this myself because I've actually gone through this myself, and it's a very painful thing, and um I think it was because of my attachment to that particular particular person, right? So, say for example, if you're attached to your partner, so it could be like um I don't know how to word it, it could be your spouse, it could be your partner, it could be your girlfriend or boyfriend, someone that you're attached to, right? And then, say for example, within that you call it a relationship, if you want to name it that that relationship, something happens. You do not see that person, you have a disagreement or argument, you may have a conflict of some kind, right? And then slowly the relationship fades, it sort of like dies down, it goes away eventually, because obviously the attachment of you with that person fades, it's it it doesn't become a long-lasting thing, right? Normally, after that, this is what we call breakups, it's normally what we call a breakup, right? It happens to all human beings. Normally, when you have a breakup with a like a husband or wife or children or spouse or partner or boyfriend and girlfriend, because of that attachment there that you had with them, it brings the suffering, pain, and adversity, right? And that suffering, pain, and adversity can go on for a long time if you're not mindful of it. So, for example, you'll try and start a new relationship, but you still have that suffering pain and adversity, you'll try and start new friendships, but you still have that suffering pain and adversity. You'll try and date another person, but you still have that suffering pain and adversity. So that's because of the attachment you had to that individual. You haven't healed from the attachment you've had with that individual, but you're still trying to go on. So sometimes in life, people go on, right? So they move on, they find another partner, they get married, they have children, they but you don't realize what you're doing because you're just on a treadmill, you're just going from one partner to the next, may have children, may not have children, going to a next partner, may have children, may not have children, may be in a relationship for a long time, maybe not, but you're not you're not learning your own self, you're just moving on and on and on without learning what did it teach me? How did I grow as a person? What did I learn from it? How can I heal from it before moving on? And this is what comes to the point of moving on, right? So moving on doesn't mean oh, you haven't gone through your attachments. Most of the times, with moving on, you always have those attachments anyway, because it's part of your life, right? So, look, say for example, I I don't want to put like names or anyone into it. Say, for example, you had a breakup with a partner, back in your mind, you're always gonna think, Oh, but I was with somebody and they left me, or I was with them, or I left them, and the attachment that I have with them is still with me. I'm still attached to their love, the who they are, you know, their qualities. Okay, that's fine, but it comes back to attachment. That's that's what you're attached to. For example, if you think of like it can it this can go in multiple different ways. If you think of, for example, I don't know, like um a career for a job, uh an opportunity. I'm attached to my job in my career. So if something happens to it, then you're gonna feel suffering, pain, and adversity. So, what am I trying to say here? What what what is the essence of what I'm getting at? And I'll explain the essence of what I'm getting at from a gratitude journal. The essence of what I'm getting at is basically your attachments is gonna bring that suffering, pain, and adversity. And it's like what I said earlier within my gratitude journal already. I said that suffering, pain, and adversity is inevitable anyway. So there's no you can't you can't live life without attachments. Sorry, I I know that might sound a bit odd for a few. Oh, I love I think spiritual people say uh especially faithful spiritual people and religious people say, Oh, but there is a life without attachments, isn't it? I don't think there is a life without no attachments. Everything in life has attachments to it. Your parents that brought you into the world are your first attachments, your relationships that you have in your personal life are another sets of attachments. The job and careers you're a part of are another set of attachments. The um car or the motorbike or clothes and possessions you have and belongs you have is another set of attachments, so you're always gonna have attachments. That's gonna be a part of your life. The only thing I'm trying to mention is can you disconnect from that? Can you disconnect from the friends? Can you disconnect from the family? Can you disc disconnect from the partner? Can you disconnect from the money? Can you disconnect from the finances? Can you disconnect from just working, working, working? Can you disconnect from it? Can you disconnect from just being being being? Can you disconnect from it? Can you can you disconnect from it? And if you can't disconnect from it, then you're gonna live in suffering, pain and adversity. You will you will live in suffering pain and adversity if you can't disconnect from it. So the reality is with the spiritual truth, and I think this is what Jehovah and Jesus Christ and Buddha is teaching us. Don't be attached to anything, have that open mindset. So I'm not attached to anything, but I'm open to everything. I think I think that quote came from Wayne Dow. I'm not attached to anything, but I'm open to everything. So it's a different way of living. I'm not attached. I'm I'm not attached to my partner, I'm not attached to my children, and I know it becomes a difficult thing, it's always difficult to learn that, but you have to find it. Don't have attachments because I don't know, I put this at the very end, so we can finish off this part. I can go on for hours about this. Attachments brings suffering, pain, and adversity. It's even happened in my own personal life, so I'm very aware of it. I'm saying attachments brings suffering, pain, and adversity when you're attached to something. Attachments is a natural part of life, like I said earlier, so it's natural. So it's okay to have the I'm not I'm not s that's but as I'm saying this, I'm not saying to not have no attachments at all. You can't live life without having no attachments. There's always gonna be something you're attached to in in some part of your life. My understanding and learning is can you be dis disattached to certain things? Can you live freely? You know? Can you develop that learning understanding, which is a different type of not being attached to what you have or your belongings or your friends or your family or your children or your clothes or your possessions or your holidays or your food or your drinks or your love and your romance because those are always gonna bring pain. Pain comes from attachments, suffering comes from attachments, adversities come from attachments. It always comes from the same thing that's been mentioned, the attachments. So you have to find a way to be disattached. That's not saying you can't have a family because if you want a family, that's your choice and that's your decision. That's not saying you can't have a marriage, that's your choice and that's your decision. There's not saying you can't have a relationship with friends and family and live that type of life, that's your choice and that's your decision. But can you be de-attached from that? Not live constantly worrying or thinking about it or um living like that. Can you be detached, you know? Like um, I think there's a certain freedom when you find that, it's a certain liberation, it's a real freedom and liberation, and then people say, but spiritual truth, I I don't I don't want spiritual truth. Of course, people say they don't want spiritual truth because it you have to learn how to be de-attached. Like, if you if you if you think about how important the de-attachment is, I don't say the attachment, I don't say when you um like um I don't say when you have a family, I don't say when you get married, I don't say but as I'm saying the de-attachments, I don't say when you believe in buy books, for example, or go to university or go to college. I'm saying the opposite of what people normally talk about because they're attached to everything. They're attached to their job, they're attached to their career, they're attached to their family, they're attached to their children, they're attached to their possessions, they're attached to their holidays, they're attached to their car, they're attached to their money, they're attached to their motorites, they're attached to their clothes, they're always attached. So why why why why is it that you can't find that spiritual truth? Because you're attached, you're not you're not you're not mindful, you're not spiritual, you haven't developed that quality because you're so attached to who you are, so attached to your life, you, your family. Like and and I'll say something just before we finish, because I can go on for hours about this, and I I I have to be mindful of time and as I share. My gratitude really my gratitude is a simple gratitude for me, and it's always it's always been the same gratitude from the very beginning of my um I'll say just what I I share and what I talk about. It's it's always the same, it's always it hasn't changed over the years. Always there's always something, and if like like I said before, I even said before in the in today that it's not it's not like you're not gonna be attached to something. You will you always will. There'll always be some attachment in your life. The only question that I'm gonna say now is what are you attached to? I think that's a different question. A different question is not saying I've got my family, my houses, and my cars and my money. Okay, you can have that, fine, great. I'm successful within my life, great, fantastic. Okay, if if that's how you want to view it, fine. Another way of viewing what I'm about to share anyway, is like what are you attached to? What what is it? What is it really? Is it like um I don't want to get too specific here? Is it the romance? Is it the car? Is it the money? Is it the friends? Is it the family? Is it the children? Is it the marriage? Is it the engagements? Is it the um holidays? Is it the food, the drinks? What are you attached to? And this will I'll finish my podcast after this statement. I can go on for hours and I know it will take too much time. And I maybe at in in some point I can actually spend I don't think I've ever spent more than probably four hours to three hours on a podcast. I still haven't done that yet, and it's quite rare that I would I don't think I have in all my podcasts and my audios. I don't think I've spent more than like three to four hours just talking about something, but maybe eventually one day I can, but until then um I'm okay with not spending as that much time and just talking, it's it's fine, but and it goes back to actually what I spoken about just now about the attachment thing. So for me, it's it's quite simple actually. Um I wasn't always like um I wouldn't I'm not gonna say faithful and spiritual because I don't want to put that label on myself, so I'm not gonna say that for me. I just say I wasn't always like doing what I was doing in my life from the very beginning of it, you know. And I I don't want to go into my story, I think I'll just take too much time, and it's it's just not irrelevant uh in my gratitude journal. I think when you when you find something that's important to you, you know, when when you just find something that's important to you, um, and it could be different things for different human beings and different motivations for different people, and that's completely understandable. And um I don't judge I don't judge people based on like who they are, what they do, how they live. I I'm not I'm not like that. I'm I'm just a bit of a simple person, and I keep it quite simple in what I do for a living as well. It's very simple, it's not it's not complicated to me. It comes back to the same thing that's motivating me all this time, and um I'll just share this in this podcast and audio today. Normally, and this is I don't know this this comes to attachment, it does come to attachment, but it's a different type of attachment I'm talking about. When anytime when I'm alone by myself, or sort of when I have the time to do what I I need to do for myself, anytime when I am, and it's it's not every day I get the time just to be by myself or to do what I need to do. It's it's my life is quite complex, it's not it's not like a straight line, you do this, you do that, you do this. It's just it's very complex, very, very hard to discover. But anytime I'm alone by myself, or I get a time to just to go, do you know what? Yes, you know, um this is something that's gonna motivate me to move forward. I come back to the same two people that got me where I am today, and and I know this it may divert what I was talking about in the podcast and audio today, which is completely fine. But this is more I call it um spiritual reasons here. Uh I just call it spiritual reasons. Now, I'm just gonna explain this as I share this last bit in this but I just want to share this at the last bit of this podcast today. As I'm alone sharing this information today, as I'm alone, and no one's with me. I don't I don't have a relationship, I don't have children, I've never been married, I've never been engaged. I have had relationships which I've told you. Well, it's kind of my attachments to certain things. Yes, I have had relationships. Um like I don't socialise very often. Um more of the time I'm alone most of the time, and more of the time I'm just focused, slowly, slowly moving forward. And what inspires me are the same two people that inspire me to get here. The it's never changed, it's always been the same, it's like for me, it's always the same thing. It hasn't changed, it's not going to change, and it's just like as I'm as I'm alone by myself, I I realize it every single day of my life, and it's what what what so it's so you you're you've made this podcast talking about attachments and the reason why m at least hundreds of people are going through suffering pain and adversity is their attachments, but it's saying you're attached to something as well. But the the the the the slight difference to what I'm attached to is different to what other people are attached to. I don't I don't I don't have any children to be attached to my children, I don't have any relationships to be attached to my relationships, I don't have any spouse or wife to be attached to my spouse and my wife. Those are not a part of my life, it's not it's not what gets me to do what I do. Um I'm very different, I'm very um I'm just different. That that's that's what I would say. So what so why why are you mentioning this? Because I I want to get a point across now and I'll I'll finish this podcast just with this little statement. Because because attachment is part of life, it's it's basically a part of life, right? Your attachments, right? So you're not you're not you're not you're not gonna live your life without having some sense of attachment to somebody or someone or people or whatever it is, you will be attached to something. But this is what this is what spiritual people talk about most of the time, and it's it's majority of the spiritual people that talk about it most of the time. When you're attached to something that makes you spiritual, it changes your life. So for me, I don't have friends that many friends anyway. I actually quite quite alone, actually, to be honest. I don't have many friends, I don't have a husband or wife or children because I don't I it's not part of my life at all. I'm not in a relationship, I haven't haven't been in a relationship for about 12 to 13 years, which is a very long time. I don't have any children, so I have no children to look after, no one to feed, no one to look after their clothes or wash, I don't have those responsibilities. So then it comes back to a simple question when you're attached to something that makes you spiritual. So for me, what's been my attachment all this time? The two people that put me on this path, Paul Doranton and Dr. Karen Mitchigan. That is my attachment, but that doesn't mean I can't have what I want, that doesn't mean I can't have what I need, that doesn't mean I can't have what I enjoy and I feel happy and fulfilled about. It's a spiritual reason to why I do what I do, it's spiritual, it's very spiritual. So I normally say for me, what's more important is is an attachment for um and I don't want to say this in a rude way at the end, but it's attachment for okay. I I I don't want to say it in a rude way, but I'll say it in a in a in a serious way at the end. Stuff in your life are those things gonna make you spiritually attached to somebody. My motivation for that is normally the materialism, it's normally material things that lead people in that path, their attachments. I said most of the time, it's most majority of the time, night 90 at least 95% of the time it's their attachments to certain things. So, what makes you spiritually detached? Your spiritual influences, your spiritual heroes, your spiritual role models, the people that have got you to where you are. Now, this is I don't want to spend too much time on this. I don't actually don't want to spend too much time on this at all because it will take another couple of hours to discuss. Every human being has people that's got them to where they are. You can talk about this from the most wealthiest people in the world to the most spiritual people in the world. There is no human being that doesn't have another individual that hasn't influenced them in some way. Everyone has, everyone everyone will. For me, it comes back to the people that helped me all this those years ago. I remember the help, I remember the support, I remember where I was, I remember how I am now, I remember how I've changed, and I remember how my life used to be. So that's what's more important than just attachments to materialism. Materialism, as in my own experience of where and I I know this people say, but are you saying this is in a Buddhist or Christian sense? I'm not saying this in a Buddhist or Christian sense, I'm just talking about materialism at this precise moment. Materialism brings suffering. Materialism brings pain. Materialism brings adversity. Not what you do for a living, not how you're being in your life, not what you do or not do. That's not what basically brings the materialism. The materialism is natural. In our world and society, it's become natural. It's natural to pay for a house, it's natural to drive your cars, it's natural to earn money, it's natural to wear clothes, it's natural to have a relationship, it's natural to have marriages, it's natural to have children, it's all natural. But when you don't find the spiritual motivations for your life, then you skate, you you stay stuck on the materialism, the material life. This is me, and that is me, and and I don't want to go too deep in it, it's just materialism. So normally the motivation is something has to change within your life to not live like that, right? Something will have to change. Normally, what the spiritual truth leads to is the suffering adversity you experience. Say for example, and it goes back to what I was discussing earlier. Say, for example, if you're like say, Oh, but like, wow, I'm I'm successful, I'm rich, and okay, fine. That that's nothing, there's nothing wrong in that. There's nothing wrong in saying you're successful and rich or wealthy or well off. Okay, fine, brilliant, great. It's a good it's good, it's good to it's good to feel like that, it's good to be appreciated in that way. Great, fine, great. Most people, and I put it to you this way, that I finished I will finish after this last part. I keep saying I'm gonna finish and I'm still talking, so I will finish off this. People are normally like um they're like how can I word this? Like um, I want to be happy, I want to be fulfilled, I want to be joyful, and this is my life, and my my relative and it's like I I get I get it to some degree, I get it to some degree. I I do understand why people live like that. I do I do get it for to some degree, I do get it. This is my life, this is my partner, this is my children, this is what I'm posting, this is what I'm sharing, and I think just for someone that's like my heroes, basically, then I think when my heroes like that, were were the people that helped me to get here like that, and that's when for me, just just for me personally, that's when things change for me. It changes a lot for me, and I think when my heroes like that, where were the people that got me to where I am like that, where they really like that, like this is my spouse, this is my children, this is my house, this is my car, this is my holiday, these are my possessions, these are my food, these are my drinks, these are my friendships, this is my socializing, this is my gatherings, this is me, this is how I'm living. Look at me, I'm and for me, it comes back to a simple thing. The most spiritual people are the ones that are silent. I repeat it just at the end, please. The most spiritual people are the ones that are silent, they don't brag, they don't boast, they're silent, they're very quiet. You wouldn't you wouldn't know what they're doing at all, they're very secretive, they don't they don't boast at all, really, to be very simple. And um I think that's that sense of like spirituality for you there, they're just quiet, they don't they don't and and when I say quiet and silent, I don't mean they don't you know live their life, of course they do, but they have they they there's something they have, there's something they have, and it's like um I don't know I don't know how to describe it, it's like um beauty. I feel that's the only way I can word it, it's like beauty, they have beauty. I don't if if I could if I could find another word to sort of describe it, I I don't think I can. It's just they they they have beauty, they're very spiritual. And I think when it for everybody for every person it would be different for them, you know, we all have attachments to um you know, people and things that are important to us, I guess. But when you have the beauty, then um it changes life, it changes everything. And I think you know, sometimes in life you need that beauty. I think it I think it's important. Um not because you become more successful from it or you achieve more from that beauty you already receive. I think it's just a natural thing. When you have beauty, you're more transcendent, you're more mindful, and you're very careful about what you do. You know, you care you care for people, you you work in certain ways, you're not like I'm a CEO, for example, I'm a founder, I'm a uh lead, I'm an entrepreneurial type of human being. It's just labels at the end of the day. So I think I've finished there from a gratitude. I could go on for hours about this, I'm just mindful of time. There will there will be a day when I can spend at least four to three hours talking, and uh that day will come, but until then I have to keep moving forward. So um my gratitude for today is definitely the people that helped me to get uh Paul Dorenton, Dr. Karen Mitchigan, Christian Naughty, and Doug Hein Mills. And then my own, I've always said this in my podcast and my audience, my own relationship with Jehovah Jesus Christ and Buddha, you know, um, that I've discovered, you know, for myself. So um beauty is precious, it's very, very precious, and it's hard to find. It takes a lot to find it, but it's possible though, it's possible, it's possible if you spend time in spiritual silence, you know, you you tried to you tried you try to just like think about like you know who's helped you, who's been there for you, who were the people that like got you on your journey, and those are the things that you really spiritually think about. And even for me, uh after all these years, those are the things I think about the most. I don't think about the most of like my accomplishments and my achievements because it it means nothing to me. I don't I don't I don't anything I've done in my life or is is basically based on those two people that helped me. So it's not based on like because I wanted to do it myself. It's not I don't I don't live like that. I don't live like oh it was me that done all the work, it was me that I don't I don't live my life like that. It was me, me, me, me, me. I I I choose not to live like that. I don't I don't live like that. It was me, me, me, me, me, me No no no no it comes back to the people that got me on this path so it's not based on me for that that's just my that's my that's my um that's basically my learning and understanding if if if what I do for a living was based on me then I I would choose other paths in life. I I I wouldn't be doing podcasts or audios like this, so it's not based on me. And it it goes back to just everything that I've learnt along my journey and it's it's taken a lot of learning. So um I think for me the most important things is that spiritual silence. You you must find it daily, and however you find that daily, connect to it. Find find time to connect to it. If it if you have to, you know, go on your lunch break to connect with nature, then please do that. If you have to just stop caring for your family and friends or children, if you have, then you know, by all means, please do that. If you have to stop doing certain things, then you know, by all means do that.
