Hello everyone, my name is Christopher Liam Rose. I'm an author, mentor, life coach, motivational speaker, evangelist, musician, and activist. Today we're going to be sharing my gratitude journal for the 5th of the 7th, 2026. I'm just going to be sharing my thoughts, my feelings, my emotions, and how my day's been today. So today's just been, I would say, a productive day, but a quiet day. Um I've been at home all day. Um normally on Sundays I would go to church and be a part of the corrugation to attend the church service. Normally between eleven o'clock and I think it's three o'clock. Um it's very rarely that I'll spend like a whole day just working and just focusing on the work that I was doing. So obviously I didn't attend church today, I didn't go to the church service. I don't think I've been to church for the last probably I would say two weeks now. It's been a long time since I've been to church. But um for my work that I do and opportunities that I'm a part of, sometimes you know, you have to I'm not gonna say not go to church or do go to church. That that depends on the individual. I'll just say, you know, focus on what's important to you, you know, and you know what work you're doing and also where you're going. Um so today I've just been working from home. I basically spent the whole day sorting out piss port referrals, emails, um and just focusing on doing my work basically. So I've just been at home. I think I've had I think I've had two meals today just focusing on my work really. Um the two meals that I had was food that I cooked last night, which is um egg noodles, uh, onions, spinach, and I think I had sweet and sour sauce with the noodles. Um it's a new meal that I've been cooking. I don't normally eat noodles very often, or egg noodles or spinach or uh sweet and sour sauce. So it's just like a new meal that I've been creating. Um it's a very simple meal to create, and um also as well, like it gives me a lot of energy when I eat it, so you know I try to cook it when I can, when I have the opportunity to, or when I have the time to, so that's very important. And as you already know, that I'm a vegetarian as well, so I don't eat meat, so I don't eat no pork, fish, chicken, lamb, steak, or any type of meat, so I just don't eat no meat, no animals, no meat, um I I've just completely cut out of my diet. So I don't eat meat, I don't smoke, I don't drink, um, and it's just completely out of my diet. I just I just don't do those things. Um I think some of the learning that I've done today is that you know, um I think one thing I learnt today is that you know when you're on your path, I think sometimes you'll think, Why am I doing this? Why am I working when everyone's playing or having fun or why am I busy working when everyone's doing something else? And and you you say to yourself, like at those times, like you know, what's important to me? What do I value? What gives me meaning? What gives me purpose? What gives me um something to look forward towards? And I think for me it's always been the same thing that I focus on helping other people, the spiritual music, and then faith and spirituality. I try and focus like my life on those three areas b in my own understanding of things and learning from things. Helping other people, the spiritual music, faith and spirituality. And um normally in any work that I do, you know, day to day, it could be in the community, it could be at home, it could be an opportunity that I am able to support people in. Um I I remind myself like you know, my life was always in this way, and I wasn't always knowing what work I should be doing or how I should be working or how I should be living. I was always like um it's like a learning process, isn't it? You learn, you start to you know understand things, learn from things, see things, develop your skills, develop your abilities. And then slowly after you start to kind of go on this path. I normally call it a path in life, and it's normally like a path that you go down. I wouldn't say it's a destination because a destination is different from a path. A destination is saying, for example, I want to do this, and this is the destination I want to get to within my life. A path is normally saying that I'm on this path, I'm learning from each opportunity, um, each work that I'm able to be a part of, each insight, each inspiration, each motivation, each encouragement. And um you start to learn that the path is more important than the destination, and that's normally what I say when I say my gratitude journals, and I'm very grateful for my gratitude journals because I remember saying before, like it's always a process of me just sharing my thoughts, my feelings, and emotions, and um I'm very grateful to have the opportunity to have, you know. I wasn't always doing podcasts, I wasn't always in gratitude journals, I wasn't always helping other people, doing spiritual music or faith and spirituality. Um I was just a young person trying to figure out life, what am I meant to do, how am I meant to live, you know, what are my interests, what are my hobbies, what are my passions, what what do I like to do, and it's always a part of life, isn't it? So normally I think sometimes it's important to learn and understand, and when you learn and understand, it doesn't mean like you're um sort of like not processing things or not learning from things. Normally with learning and understanding is that you get these insights, they normally call it insights, and these insights depending on who you are, and depending on what type of person you are, um, it's different for all human beings, it's different for all individuals. But normally these insights guide you to what you need to do. It's normally like an insight, so it's not like um, for example, you watch, I don't know, like a YouTube video, and then something tells you to do something in the YouTube video, then you go on doing it. I don't think that's the insights that I'm talking about. The insights that I'm talking about is very spiritual insights, you just know you're on the path. I don't say the destination, you know you're on the path. So these insights guide you. So normally they say that you don't need a teacher or guru to help you find your path. A path is a path you walk down, it's a path of where you've discover who you are. I normally say within my podcasts and audios, it's really about discovering who you are. You know, what's important to you? What what do you want to do in your life? Like what where's your interest? Where's your intention? What are your hobbies? You know, what type of life do you want to live? For some people, they find the answer, they say, you know, I want to become something in life, you know, I want to achieve something in life. For me, it's very subtle, it's very simple. Um, it's not about I've said this before in podcasts and audience in my gratitude journals before as well. Sometimes, okay, I'll put it to you this way sometimes when you're on like a um I'll just say this. Should I call it like a hamster will, or should I call it like a a continuing, how can I put it, working pattern. So you're always working, like you're never having time to be with yourself, to have a cup of tea or coffee, to eat healthy food and drinks, or to find fun, or just things that you want to do that's outside of just this this never-ending work cycle, you're working, working, working, working, working, working, working, working, working, and it seems like oh, you know, you know, if I'm working, working, working, then my life is gonna be better that way, and sometimes I s even I even I'm still in this journey of discovering this for myself, and sometimes I think to myself, like if you're always working, working, working, like, and you're always I've got to do this today, I've got to go ahead today, I've got this to sort out. It's like you're never content that way, and it's like a it's a subtle, it's a subtle feeling. It's a subtle feeling where you you don't have to do anything to feel contentment. I don't say like um like stuff or materialistic things. It's not what I'm trying to say in my gratitude journal or or my podcast today. I'm just saying a s a sense of contentment. So you're not worried about possessions, you're not worried about a house, you're not worried about a car, you're not worried about family, you're not worried about friends, you're not worried about children, you're not worried about finances and money and income, you're not worried about possessions, holidays, food and drinks. You're just content with how your life is and you're basically present. It's a very hard thing to find because I find uh I see it in a lot of people, it's like they feel they feel they have to sort of um what's the word for it? They feel they have to work harder in order to achieve uh accomplishment or achievement. And I'm saying I normally say my podcasts, my audio, my especially in my gratitude journals very often, I normally say, but when are you gonna feel contentment? When are you gonna feel pit peace? When are you gonna feel happiness or joy of fulfillment? And it doesn't mean you have to work harder in order to find that. I think work is not I'll put it to you this way, because I'm starting to learn this myself as well, and really starting to learn this. I think when it comes to work, there's no such thing as a definition to work, and I think I've said this before previously in podcasts or audios as well. Is that people they put I put it to you this way, they put a label to work, so they say, for example, I'm a I don't know, like an engineer, I'm a mechanic, I'm a bus driver, I'm a baker, I'm a footballer, I'm a doctor, I'm a nurse, I'm a professional, I am a accountant, I'm a lawyer, I am a um scientist, I am a psychologist, or I am a psychiatrist, for example. It's like from what I've learned on my journey and what I've learned probably I was about twenty-four when I learnt this, and it's normally this. It's normally there's no labels to the work you do, it shouldn't be you shouldn't classify yourself as a label, I am this or I am that or this is my life, and this is my situation. Normally, when we get to gratitude, fulfillment, happiness, strength, contentment, you just it's one of those I can't explain it other than you just know who you are. Like that's the only way I can describe it, and then normally when you know who you are, you know you're on the path, and the path is there's no people say with with the path, you know, you have to be something, you have to become something, and I try to in my own ways articulate to people it's not about becoming anything, you don't need to become something to do something, it's more about I've said this before in podcasts and audience before, uh in especially in my gratitude journals that I've been sharing over the years and over the months, you don't need to become something, you don't need to strive to become anything in in life itself. That becomes egotistic when you live like that. I'll put it again in the um podcast and audio today. When you when you have when you have the mindset of you want to become something, so it could be like I said, I I already put some definitions in this podcast and audio today, like a lawyer, a scientist, a psychologist, a psychiatrist, a nurse, a bus driver, a baker, a cook, a chef, a lawyer, an accountant, a doctor, a it's just labels that you put on yourself to find security in the work you do. But when you find the path of your life, which is a path of your life, it's not a path of you know, I get more successful once I work in this sort of pattern, I get more successful once I do these sort of things, I get more successful once I achieve things in a certain way. It's just labels, it doesn't have the meaning and it doesn't have the value. True meaning and value comes when you know yourself as a human being. I've said this before, probably you know, a lot of times on this podcast already. True meaning and value comes when you know yourself, and when you know yourself, it means you're on the path, it's normally it's normally saying you're on the path of yourself, so it's not the path of yourself doesn't have a label to it. You can't you can't define yourself as a something within life. So the path to yourself, I must be a doctor, I must be a nurse, I must be a psychiatrist, I must be a psychologist, I must be a consultant, I must be engineer, I must be a bus driver, I must be a lawyer, I must be an accountant, I must be a preacher, I must be a pastor. There's no there's no label to it. I think a lot of a lot of people get confused because they feel like if I class myself as a label, then that gives you that security of being that in life, isn't it? So I'm classed as a lawyer, I'm classed as an accountant, I must be a doctor, I am a nurse, I am a psychiatrist, I am a psychologist, I am a consultant. These are labels that human beings puts on themselves to find security. The path that I'm talking about is a no-path. There's no path to it. There's no um I'm this I'm that, this is my life, I'm great, I'm fantastic. I've got family, friends, relationships, children, houses, cars, money, possessions, holiday food, and drinks. That's the path of egotism, that's the path of materialism, that's the path of just and you and uh I think millions and billions of people are living like that at the moment. They they don't know, they don't know at all. Um so it's hard to it's hard to explain this, but so many people don't know. They say, but you know, um I'm living my life, I'm being successful, but when you're in the path of knowing who you are, then there's no path to it, because you you're always on a journey, and I think that's the slight difference that I've noticed in myself as I've I've actually noticed this in myself for a very long time now. I don't I you I'll I'll be honest as well. I used to class myself for certain things like a musician, like a life coach, like a mentor, like a um I don't know, a motivational speaker, like an evangelist, like an activist. But when I really think about it, who is the person that's putting those labels on themselves? And the answer to that question is a very simple question. Because I used to say I used to say it all the time to myself, I am an evangelist, I'm an activist, I'm a motivational speaker, I'm a preacher, I'm a I'm a um life coach, I'm a um, I don't know, like um a mentor, right? But the question that comes to my mind when I think about, especially in my gratitude journals, who is the person that's putting those labels on myself? And normally the answer to that question is a very simple question. Yourself is doing it, your own self is doing it. It's not anyone else's doing it, yourself is doing it because you label yourself to find security in those attachments. So I think the hard lesson that I've learned in my gratitude journals, especially for a long time now, as I've been sharing, is that there's no path to just living your life. I don't I don't think it has a path. And then people say you must become this, you've got to live like that. There's no path to it. If the say for example, say for example, um you you can do this lots of different ways as well, as I'm sharing as well. Say for example, if like I don't know, and this is I think this is a lot of I think prob majority of people's aspirations to actually do this one that I'm gonna say. It's actually I'll say like thousands and millions and billions of people's aspirations to to do this in their life. It's normally this for most of and I don't know why it is, it's just the way life is for those human beings, isn't it? It's like for like millions and billions of people or thousands of people, I don't know why it is, it's just it's something I've noticed, and lots of people. It's like they attach themselves to want to become like a millionaire or a billionaire, and it seems like within the world of society, being a millionaire and a billionaire gives you that status, or that I'm not I'm not judging, I'm not judging people if they are a millionaire and billionaire. I'm I'm actually not I think it's a good thing to actually achieve that because I'm not, but I think it's a good thing to have that motivation or that aspiration to do that. I think it's good, but normally how it is is that people put their um how can I word it, their like um their status on their millions and their billions, and I think when you put your status on your millions and billions and who you are with the labels that you've attached to yourself to find your own security, so for example, what happens for very rich and successful people, they say, I am a millionaire, I am a billionaire, I am an entrepreneur, I am successful, and it's like and then they live their life in that sort of direction, and most of the actions are based on that direction, and it's like you never contend in the present moment, you never contend with the living, you never contend with the presentation. I think an important thing about my gratitude journal is especi especially this one for me it's something I've learned in a long a long time now just appreciate the now I think if you appreciate the now and and that and when when I say appreciate the now it doesn't it doesn't matter like where you are in the world like specifically what you're doing in the world it could be I don't know like um going out or going to a restaurant or I don't know like um being at a park or being with friends and family or loved ones whatever you do within the now you appreciate that now so whatever you're doing it could be uh for everyone would be different things it could be you know cooking for example it could be talking to a loved one for example it could be if you have children looking after your children be present now don't focus on the ambition and normally I think that's the word I would use the ambition working harder and in my millions and in my billions because it becomes self it's it's selfish when you live like that it's very um it's like egotist it's very egotistical when you live like that my millions my hundreds of thousands my it's like I I I'll put it in the podcast and audio for today it's like I don't know how to explain it other than this it's like I I've only learned this at a young age for myself and I think my gratitude journals become more important because what I teach is what I've learned at a young age and it's like I find this in like hundreds and thousands and millions and billions of people in all aspects of life I find in I find I find this in nearly everyone in in nearly all human beings all human beings have this ambition they have an ambition to become something an ambition to be something a desire to accomplish something a dream to fulfill um a I don't know how to word it something to achieve so they spend most of their life working hard and it goes back to what I said earlier they spend most of their life working hard and then it's like I'm working hard I'm achieving something and then it's like when you think about like Jesus Christ Jehovah and Buddha and you think about a spiritual path or a spiritual life right most things that come into life are very spiritual and I think this is what confuses a lot of people most of the time they think they think life is about what you accomplish and what you achieve and who you become and I've got a different point of view with that because that still leads to the path of ambition and I'm I'm ambitious to become something I'm ambitious to dream something I'm ambitious to desire something I want the pleasures of what I become I want the successes of what I become I want the riches and the prosperity and the happiness and dream fulfillment for what I become but that becomes a selfish ambition of yourself it doesn't it doesn't lead anywhere and then like for millions of billions of people they stay on that path they never seem to see something opposite than that so they say I'm I'm becoming a successful person and that's a lot of people's aspirations that I'm becoming a successful person which is a label when you think about it and becoming a family member or a family I want a family and a family I'm becoming a family member that's a label that you've put on yourself I want the riches I want the prosperity I want the fulfillment I want the happiness I want the joy I want the pleasure I want the excitement I want the joy and that's a label that you put on yourself so majority of people putting labels on themselves they class themselves as a Pacific label I am this is my role this is my job this is my career this is who I am this is my life and when you when you live your life in that way it leads to and I'll put the definition to it I'm only sharing my gratitude journey for today as always it normally leads to materialism because you're not content with the now when you think about now so wherever you like I said earlier wherever you are in the world whatever you're doing so you could be at home you could be in the community you could be driving could be at church could be in an event could be with your friends could be with your loved ones could be with your family could be with your children no matter where you are in the world and like specifically at this precise moment what you're doing in the world whatever that is if you don't find contentment within just living now so living now doesn't mean you focus on the future for example my future is to become I don't know like I said before engineer an accountant a lawyer a uh some I want to become something that's normally focusing on the future of what you want to become if you stay focused on the future of where you want to become it's it's a good thing to have of course it gives you direction and you could say purpose in life of course but it it goes back to what I said you're always working working working working for something that may not possibly happen in the future so you're not you're not guaranteed you're gonna become who you're gonna become in the future I'll repeat that again you're not guaranteed you're gonna become who you want to become in the future you're not guaranteed by that there's no human being that's guaranteed by that no one is you're not guaranteed so when you spend and this is how people it's normally like I've got to work harder this is my career I am this this is my life this is my family this is my business this is my it's it's egotistic it's egotistic it's it's materialism I've only learned what I've learnt because I'm not materialistic and I've only learned what I've learned because I don't spend time in egotism it's not because like I'm I'm saying I said the word earlier ambition I'm not saying it's wrong to have an ambition or it's right to have ambition because normally will say but I need to get something out of life if my life is living yes why don't I become what I want to become why don't I achieve what I want to achieve why don't I get what I need to get that's egotism and materialism that's not you living in the present moment now think think about think about when you live in the present moment now so say for example I put you put different definitions into it because so important say for example now and I'm just putting different def definitions into it say for example now you're living in the present moment right so this is the present moment today there's no future aspiration family friends loved ones weddings marriages possessions holidays food drinks partners relationships houses cars money business careers this this that doesn't exist in the own understanding and learning of things then the past I did this in the past I lived like that in the past that's the way I was living that's the way I was behaving this is what I was doing oh I've got a traumatic past I've got so much problems that I've experienced I don't know how to live with my life that is the past so you can't live in the past because it's already gone and you can't live in the future because it's not here yet so why am I focusing on the present moment because the present moment is all there is your past is not your past now your future is not your future now because it hasn't it hasn't come yet so you can't worry about the past that's already not here it's it's not existing it's gone it's not it's not it's not reality now you can't focus on the future so much because it's like this is the future this is my business this is my entrepreneurship this is my because you don't live in the now so the the word I use is ambition it's normally the word I would use is ambition and I think every I think all human beings have an ambition in some part of their life I'm ambitious to grow into a better person I ambitious to live um in a successful way an ambitious to become who I need to become I'm ambitious to desire and dream of what I desire and dream of I'm ambitious to live in a certain way I'm ambitious to create things within life I'm ambitious I'm ambitious I'm ambitious I'm ambitious I want more I need more I desire more I I need more and having more and I think people don't see the trap that they're in they don't they never see it because they're so ambitious or they if it if they're not if they're not necessarily ambitious to achieve what they want which is that I think it's at least 99% of human beings are all ambitious in some part of their life then it's normally the other thing they keep working for something that's not important. So I'll repeat it again if they're not ambitious to sort of um become who they want to become because some people are like that and like I said I think that's like 99% of human beings are like that they're ambitious that that's their nature that they're ambitious to become something they they want to become something they're ambitious to do that of course if they're not doing that then it's normally they're working something that isn't important to them so when it comes to work from my own understanding and from my gratitude journals work has to be something that's important to you if it's not important to you then the question that I normally ask people is why are you doing it I mean I I mean I might I I'm actually not even gonna go there in the podcast and all the today because I could spend hours talking about it but I'll repeat it again if the work you do isn't important to you then the question I would have for those people is why are you doing it but I'm working in this career job because it gives me lots of things okay but that's not the real reason isn't it I'm ambitious to achieve my dreams my desires my motivations my aspirations my goals everything that I want I want it all I I need it all I desire it all but why this is my motivation I've got my family I've got my children I've got my wife I've got my husband I've got my partner we need to achieve something in our less but why ambitious to do that oh this is my life okay but why so sometimes it's not necessarily oh I'm just working for the sake of working if you're just working for the sake of working then you're just working for the sake of working there's no meaning behind it there's no purpose to it it's like a they normally say it's like a a means to an end I'm working because it's a means to an end when I work I can pay for things when I work I have an opportunity when I work I get things when I work I become ambitious there's always this ongoing ambition desire dreams aspirations motivations encouragements achievements accomplishments and it never ends don't people don't people see the trap that they're in your relationships your children your partner your spouse your husband your wife your work your education your business your volunteering your entrepreneurship it never ends it never ends it's always the same thing and it's like can people just be content in the present moment now can people just live in the present moment now and not think I've got to work harder to become something I've got to achieve more to live like this I've got to be more ambitious to become more ambitious because it's it's the same thing that people are doing all the time and this is what's happening to people because it's like I'll put it to you this way because I I've learned this I've learned this at a very young age a very uh I I've been younger than I am now to learn this and I I've learnt it for so for so many years it's like it's it's this is what it's like and I'm just gonna explain what it's like people talk about business and money and careers like it's like it's like it's the best thing in the world to have a business career and money business career and money doesn't make you present business career and money doesn't make you spiritual business career and money doesn't make you faithful business career and money doesn't give you truth it's not about the business money or career but that's what the world is built on if I don't work then I don't have a family if I don't work then I don't have a career if I don't work then I don't have a business and it's like if you if you see this in people you see their journey you actually see you see their traject what's the word their trajectory for trajectory or something like that I think the word they call it trajectory right so it's like for example I put it I put it in different ways in the podcast and audio today it's like for example they'll say um I'm becoming I don't know I'm becoming I'm becoming a I don't know how to word I'm becoming um a a doctor or a pastor or a um or or like um I don't know like a evangelist or activist or um a creator or entrepreneur or podcaster when you meet people that ambition that's inside of them because it's normally the ambition that's inside of them that makes them want to do that fuels their life it's not it's not the people say it's the past trauma that fuels their life if you've gone if you've gone through past trauma that fuels your life that doesn't mean you're gonna become who you're gonna become because becoming who you want to become is not a path to it you can't look it's like you can see you can see the trajectory of people when you've learned this and you can see it clearly people go um okay I want to be I don't know a musician for example I want to be a content creator for example I want to be a um I don't know an entrepreneur for example I want to be an engineer a lawyer an accountant I want I want it I really really want it from the start of their journey to the end of their journey it's ambition that's motivating their life all the time so what's the reality you have to stop ambition you have to stop materialism you have to stop ambition and materialism to find who you are and finding who you are can happen right now without you achieving or working harder for something it can happen right now as you're listening as you're learning as you're growing you don't need more to necessarily have more you don't need to work harder to necessarily work harder you don't need to become in necessarily to become those are the labels that people point themselves and their ambition it's normally the ambition it's that's majority of the time it's the ambition the ambition leads them to do more within that specific field so if you want to be I don't know a pastor or a content creator or entrepreneur you will take actions within your life through your path that you've chosen which is your destination your path for those people with ambition and the materialism to have a destination to it for example if you are say if you say for example you're entrepreneur that's owned like 10 million dollars within your business you have a destination to achieve a hundred million that is the destination of the path you've chosen which is your ambition which you have chosen of becoming an entrepreneur so you're not going to be content until you reach a hundred million but then the question I have for those people is if you reach a hundred million but you never was content when you had ten million you never was content when you had no millions you never was content when you wasn't working you never was content when you wasn't actively doing something you never was content then you you achieve that to gain the same thing that you had in the very beginning which is the ambition to want more to have more to desire more to achieve more to accomplish more but you're never content with what you already have and that's what happens to people they're never content they're always like me me me hundreds and thousands and millions of billions of people and you see the same thing they're on a that they're they're on a path which is basically a destination of ambition they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't they don't word it in that way they don't word it as this is my ambition this is my motivation but that's their life that's that's what their life is and and it's like but why but why did Jesus christ and Buddha teach the opposite they wasn't teaching about ambition here or or um like achieve more they weren't teaching that it's normally spiritual things that they were teaching but majority of these people the the thousands and the millions and the billions of people they're just stuck on ambition their life is is their life is full of the ambitions that they have in their life I'm ambitious to have a business I'm ambitious to work harder I'm ambitious to have a career I'm ambitious to it's normally the same thing and then you see the trajectory trajectory of their life when they live like that they're ambitious to become something The path of no path means you're not ambitious to become something. When when when you're not ambitious to become something, that's what gives you more meaning and value because you're not you're not ambitious to become something. People say, but what do you mean you're not ambitious to become something? Is it not important to become something to society and to the world, which is life, of course, to society in the world, the motivation for them is become something. That's all it's basically all humans being all human beings' motivation to become something. I don't want to live in the path, the past or the path that I've already had. I I I encourage myself to become more in my life, I encourage myself to become bigger within my life, I encourage myself to gain more within my life. I'm not gonna be content until I have the ambition to achieve it all, and that's what my life becomes. But you're never spiritual that way, you're never content that way, you're never happy that way, you're always it's like a never-ending treadmill. Having been to the gym before, and you've been to the gym, and you're at the gym, and because in the gyms, when you're on the treadmill, you don't have like a path, so there's no walking path, like it's on a machine, the treadmill is running the walking machine on the treadmill. You're walking or you're running on the machine, and you're just constantly running or walking on the treadmill. But you're walking and running on the treadmill, but you're not going anywhere, you're just a const it's like a fight, isn't it? You're constantly running and walking, running and walking, running and walking, running and walking, running and walking, running and walking, running and walking. You don't reach anywhere, you don't achieve anything that's important for you, but you assume that running on the treadmill for hours, which is what I'm basically trying to get at, the ambition, the materialism, the working harder, harder, harder for money, possessions, family, friends, relationships, children, and the so-called what we call it stuff within your life. I think there's a difference between doing and being and just doing. Most people I believe for a very long time I've I've learnt this for a very young age as well. I'm very young learning this. Many people should I say are stuck on doing. The life is about doing the career, the business, the family, the friends. They're always doing the family, the friends, the children, the relationships, the work, the business, the career, the car, the money, the houses, the clothes and possessions. When you're always doing, you can't sort of learn about the being. I normally say the being is more important than the doing. People may disagree. People may disagree, they'll say, Oh, it's gonna be I don't know, uh, Monday, and I gotta wake up early to get to work. It's gotta be Friday, I've got to finish work early to have my weekend, it's gonna be the weekend, I've got a socialized party as much as I can on the weekend because that's giving me some security and comfort. It's a never-ending treadmill, it's a never-ending thing. You know, you can't be content now. You can't be look, I for me, for example, I just want to put this in the podcast and audio today. I actually want to share this briefly today. Actually, I for me, I just want to share this, and uh normally I wouldn't share this, and as I've spoken for nearly 50 minutes now, I actually want to share this. I was content and happy when I didn't have things. That doesn't mean um, and I'm just putting it out there, that doesn't mean um like um I I I was ambitious to accomplish something or achieve something. I wasn't ambitious. I wasn't I wasn't I wasn't egotistic to achieve or accomplish something. I was happy when I didn't have anything. I was happy when I wasn't working, I was happy when I was just being wasn't working, wasn't helping people, wasn't in spiritual music, wasn't in faith and spirituality, wasn't I I I was content. Normally, what happens with ambition, I'm just gonna explain it, and this is the reason why I'm sharing this specific part of it. When you're ambitious, yeah, and this is what's happening to people at the moment when you're ambitious, it always motivates you to try and achieve and accomplish something for yourself when you're ambitious. When you're not ambitious, you don't worry about what you achieve or what you accomplish because you wasn't ambitious in the first place for it. Doesn't mean you don't have things, doesn't mean you don't get things, doesn't mean you're not living a set up where you are, but you're not ambitious to live that way. You're not it's not like you're going, I'm ambitious to achieve something I want out of my life, I want a family, I want friends, I want a marriage. It's a never-ending tread meal that doesn't really end, it's always the same thing. For example, if you uh I'm not married and I don't have children, so I have all the authority to say this. For example, if you're married, what is the process of marriage? Normally, dating from dating, you have a relationship, boyfriend, girlfriend, from boyfriend and girlfriend, you get engaged from engagement, you get married, from married, then you live in your marriage. I'm in a relationship, I'm getting engaged, I'm getting married, and then I'm living in my marriage. But while I'm engaged in a relationship, getting married, I want more out of my life. So is that that that's one part of viewing ambition. The next way of viewing an ambition is a career and a business. For example, I have a career. I want to work in I don't know, construction, for example. I want to work, you know, in engineering, for example. I want to work, you know, in um I don't know. Accounting, for example. What's the what's the ambition again? I'm just sharing it again. The studying, the university. From studying in university, where is it again? The job, the career. Where's it again? You're not content when you were studying, you're not content when you was in your career. Where's it again? Promotion, where's it again? Promotion, more opportunities, where's it again? Promotion, more opportunities, more money, where's it again? More promotions, more opportunities, more money, more possessions. Where's it again? So the ambition leads people in a certain direction, which I'm basically trying to explain. I'm not saying I won't I wouldn't say it's like wrong to have an ambition. If you have an ambition to do something, okay, that's fine. Because it's part of your life, and I guess that's how you want your life to be. I guess you're ambitious to do something. You you're ambitious, okay, fine. Spiritual people are not ambitious. Spiritual people are not we don't we don't we don't focus on money that that much at all, even though we have money, but we don't we don't focus on it. Most spiritual people that I'm aware of are very um independent. We're independent, we don't rely on people to give us what we need or rely on a loved one to give us what we the love we need. We're very independent. We don't we don't need that. Spiritual people are not what we call um bankers, um, accountants, engineers, lawyers, uh content creators, um, entrepreneurs. Spiritual people live differently, and why why am I mentioning this at the very end of I'm just gonna finish up up I can go on for hours, but I'm aware of time and um I'm always aware of time when I when I talk and speak. Spiritual people are not ambitious, spiritual people are not materialism, spiritual people are not egotistic, spiritual people just be, which is which is the being the being is more important than the accomplishments, the being is more important than their achievements. Look, people are uh like I said, look, I explained it very brief briefly. I'm gonna explain it just again before we finish. People and this this this is this is why for at least millions and billions of people that life is the way it is because they're ambitious, and they don't some people not they wouldn't call it that word because that's like a strong word to use. They wouldn't say I'm ambitious to achieve something, but most people are, or I'm desire of an enjoyment of something. I don't people don't word it in those ways. Women say, But I like doing what I'm doing, I'm enjoying myself, I'm getting something out of it. Okay, okay, okay, but there's a hidden motive when you're like that. I'm achieving more, I'm getting more and more successful, okay. But there's a hidden motive when you're like that, and the hidden motive is normally this you're not content, you're not content with how your life is, you're striving for more, you're working harder for more, you're you're you're you're doing things because you want more out of your life. Why can't you just be content with how your life already is? Why can't you be content with how things are within your life? Why is it you why why do you have the need and the thin and to always want to work harder towards something? Why can't you just be content? Don't don't pursue the future, don't pursue the past, don't worry about the present, just content. Just live now, live. Don't don't don't worry about the the I think I'm finished for today. Um, and I think my gratitude journals are important for me. So this is this is my way of processing my thoughts and feelings and emotions, and this is my way of sharing just some of the things I'm learning. I think the lesson that I've learned as I've been sharing today is this never have ambition, never I wouldn't say desire or dreams because that's a bit different. Never have ambition, never have materialism within your life. If you can get to that point, never have ambition, never have materialism within your life. Only when you get to that point in your life can you say you know yourself. I'm not gonna spend the time talking about know yourself because that'll be a bit too it's too it's too hard to learn, is it's very difficult. Spiritual people know themselves. Spiritual people are not like everybody else. Spiritual people are more independent. We don't for a spiritual person they don't rely on other people to give them what they already have. A spiritual person already has what they have, they don't they don't they don't need more to be happy, they don't they don't need to work harder to achieve something, they don't they don't it's not the motivation they don't they don't want money at all they actually to be honest they don't they don't want money spiritual people focus on the present moment spiritual people focus on not when even it's it's even happening in my life. I'm not saying that as I as I show this today, I'm not saying that like I haven't had like a dream and desire to to do things, of course I have. It's a natural like an ambition on a dream and desire is natural in human beings, so it's always natural, but you don't want to get to the point where you're too ambitious, and that that might come across wrong to people to say too ambitious, but it life about going for it, achieving your dreams, achieving your desires, becoming more successful, getting more rich, having more accomplishments, achievements, being an entrepreneur, minimal, billionaire, achieving more, going for more, having more friends, more family, more loved ones, more children, more possessions, more holidays, more food, more drinks, more love, or romance, more possessions, more holidays, more food, more drinks, more stuff and things. Always focus on a destination you're never going to get because you're not content now. Spiritual people live now, they don't live in the future. I'm not saying they don't work towards the future, and they're not doing things within the present moment to work towards the future. That's a different topic. I'm just saying, spiritual people live now, they're not ambitious to become something. When you're not ambitious to become something, then your life changes. Only then then your life changes because you say I'm not ambitious to become something, but I want to. I want a motorbike, I want possessions, I want friendships, I want a degree. I don't you see the trade trajectory of what people are on. So my gratitude journal for today is very very simple. Um I'm always happy to be sharing what I can when I could get the opportunity to. Um I think normally for me it's just the same thing really. Focus on living now, focus on what's important to you, focus on that. If you focus on living now and what's important to you, then whatever you become, if you do, if that's the path. I I don't think I don't think a spiritual per person is on the path of what they become. I think a spiritual person is more like do you know what? I'm just gonna live. I'm gonna live my life, um, do what I can. Um, I may not get it right all the time. I may have a bit of for a spiritual person it happens, I may have a bit of frustration, anger, resentment. I may feel a bit disappointed at times, I may feel a bit unhappy sometimes. Okay, habits of spiritual people, yeah, it's fine. But living in the now, living right now, so you're not focused on, but I was an entrepreneur, I was a doctor, I was a I was a um I don't know like a engineer. I was an accountant, I was, I was, I was. Does anything when I say that matter right now wherever you are in the world? So I was a doctor, I was an accountant, I was an engineer, I was a millionaire, I didn't show I didn't achieve billions, I was successful, I am prosperous, I'm very wealthy. Does when I say that does any of that wherever you are in the world matter right now? Let me just say that one more time, please. It's so important, it really it really is so important. So I was an engineer, I was a doctor, I was an accountant, I was an entrepreneur, I had millions, I was a billionaire, I was so successful, I had everything in my life. Does any of that matter at this present moment, specifically as I'm showing it in the audio on the podcast right now, of wherever you are? And the answer to that simple question is no. Where you are right now, wherever in the world, you're not a millionaire, you're not a billionaire, you're not successful, you're not prosperous, you're not wealthy, you're not a label, there's no attachments to anything, just living now, so it's the living now which becomes more important than the doing. Alright, that's my gratitude journal for today. I I don't know why I showed this today, actually. I don't I don't know. Really, um, in my gratitude journal. Um But I think the lessons learnt today, you know, never never have ambition 'cause it lead it leads you to it leads you to a certain destination. We have ambition. And um like I said earlier like never have materialism it's so important. So um I think I finished there, I think I'll finish there. Um I think you know just my gratitude is always the same thing. Um so I'm grateful for you know um Jehovah Jesus Christ and Buddha for making me be content and I I already know I don't have to work towards something to become something. I'm grateful to my heroes as always, Paul Dornton, Dr. Karen Michigan, Christian Augy, Doug Hoe and Mills for just showing me that life is meant to be now. You don't you don't need something in order to live now. Um you know it's just now however however your life is now is how it should be. That's that's that's what I normally say to myself alone most of the time. However, your life is now is how your life should be. There's no past, there's no present, there's no future. You're just living, which is just simple. Simple, yeah, very simple. Alright, I'll finish for today. Um, I'm gonna wrap it up there. Um, thank you for listening. It's a long one today, and um have a good evening now. Take care now. Bye bye. Thanks.
