Speaker

Life is difficult. Life is unstable. Life is uncertain. Life is insecure. How does the Christian faith, how does Jesus Christ speak into the reality of life today? My name is Santosh Ninan. I've been a pastor for over 20 years, and in that time I've preached hundreds of sermons. I've talked with dozens of people about life and about faith. And I'm excited to share what God has taught me through all those sermons, through all that studying, through all those conversations. I'm excited to share through my new podcast called The Long Obedience. This podcast is a teaching podcast. You know, one of the gifts that God has given me is that of teaching and preaching. And so I want to share that gift with you by studying the book of First Peter. Why First Peter? 1 Peter is a book written to ordinary believers facing pressure, opposition, and suffering. They're trying to figure out how to stay faithful in a culture that no longer feels like home. We're going to study First Peter because that's just not their story. That's our story. 1 Peter reminds us that we are exiles, that we belong to another kingdom, and we live in tension with the kingdom around us. And when you live like that, you start to ask real questions. Questions like how do you endure when life does not go the way you expect? How do you respond when your faith costs you something? How do you live with hope when everything around you feels uncertain? My hope for this podcast is that it's not just more noise and more knowledge and more information, but instead it can become a tool in your life for spiritual formation. My hope is that each episode will help you slow down, open scripture, and learn what it means to live with resilient faith, with a faith that holds steady in suffering, that stays grounded in truth, and most importantly reflects the character of Jesus Christ in everyday life. Following Jesus is not a sprint, it's a long obedience in the same direction. Whether you're rebuilding after disappointment, whether you're walking through a hard season, or whether you're simply hungry for something deeper. I hope that you will join me. Join us. I pray that we would even become a community together as we study First Peter verse by verse coming soon.
