Welcome to Living in Lavender. It's controversial. It belongs in the pond. Always where the heart is, babe. Do you smell the toast? Is that supposed to be a read or then one thing led to another? Don't was see though too much. You make the schedule. Don't be fucking rude. Welcome back to Living in Lavender. Yes. Happy Sunday. Happy Sunday. The Lord's Day. Or something. Family Day. Yes. Why are you making that face? We just had a beautiful family day together. I was like, what the fuck? I was like, you gay ass. And then I was like, oh wait, we just had a family day. I'm like, chosen family. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sorry. Okay. Okay. How was your week off? My week off was liberating, refreshing. Eye opening, maybe. Eye opening. Q, Hallery Duff, come clean. Yeah. And I return tomorrow. And I just I keep telling Matt that I'm meant to be a housewife. I'm meant to be pregnant and at home taking care of the children and cooking him meals as I already do. Right. And he just keeps looking at me like I'm insane. Oh well. There's always next year. I live to see next year. No, but I had a great week off. Um we didn't do anything like crazy. We didn't go away. We stayed home. Got lots of projects done. Beautiful. Yard work, spring cleaning, packing away the winter clothes. Always. What else do we do? Oh, we went to the zoo. I heard. Went to Roger Williams. Oh, we did painting. Uh-huh. I'm like, I was a little concerned what that hand gesture was because um Shana knows the story. Relax. Relax. And I know. I'm like. Matt was over there making that hand gesture, and I'm like, that is not even a relevant story. And we're not gonna be fucking talking about our extracurriculars after hours. So, anyways, we went to the zoo, which by the way, I want to touch on that. Have you been to the Roger Williams zoo before? The only time I've been there is for the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular. Oh, my favorite. So fun. That used to be like my annual like birthday outing. We would all get together and do that. Um, but Matt and I went the other day during the school day, and there were some children, and by mean some children, there were bus loads, because that's clearly still a field trip that the young'uns go on. And it's the end of the year, so it's like the kids are running a muck. No, honestly, it was fine. Everyone was tamed. Okay. I am concerned for the safety of the animals. So, yeah. Mm-hmm. Why I I want to know why all the animals seemed like they were on 300 milligrams of Zolof. Because they probably are. They were sedated. Like they them shits weren't doing anything. They were laying in the corner of the cage and no, it was sad. It was heartbreaking. Yeah, because they're not in their natural habitat. I makes me like never wanna go to the zoo again. I don't want to condone that. I haven't been to a zoo probably since childhood, and I don't even remember that. Other than going for the Jack-o-Lantern spectacular, in which the animals were nowhere to be seen because it's nighttime. In hiding. They're in hiding, they're hibernating. Um, well, it was daytime, and these things looked like they were hibernating. Oh my god. They were comatose. Like it was sad. I kept saying to Matt, I'm like, there's something wrong with the animals. They're not doing anything. Like, did any of the signs say like bread in captivity? Matt, did no. Uh yeah. I was trying not to read any of the signs because I just to be quite honest, can't be bored with that literature, but yeah. Right. Yeah. Okay. Well, I can guarantee you most of them were probably not bred in captivity, so that is why they probably seemed a little down. That was very sad. Very heartbreaking. I'm about to storm the gates and rescue them. They're like, what are you doing to the animals? And as you should. Save the fucking animals. Period. It was sad. Oh so that was like our big outing for the week. Sounds a little uh dark. Yeah. Stayed close to home because you know, with um $5 a gallon, who wants to travel in these conditions? Correct. Wow, you were really on your um your fucking what? My what? What do you call that? Um I'm blanking on like the word for it. You're really on your activism shit right now. Oh what, yeah. Save the animals, lower the gas prices. No, no, no, no. Let's not get it confused. It's tapping into the Birkin money. That's what it's doing. It's tapping into the handbag handbag fund. We can't have that. Yeah, we can't have that. So if we could like lower the bucket prices, or I'm gonna have to get a tricycle at this point. Not a tricycle. Oh my god, excuse me. Am I boring you? Fucking bitch. We've had a beautiful long day, a family day. I mean, long day. You showed up late. Uh what are you talking about? I said when I was going, I in fact I showed up early. I just was hoping for a better timing. You could have voiced that. You could have communicated that. I'd have, but I thought that would be inconsiderate because like you had other things that you had to take care of beforehand. But like by 11 30, like the day's over. And I just but my day was just beginning, babe. No, well oh did I have I told you that the past week I've been up every morning at 3 55. I mean, you did tell me that, and that sucks when you have a week off. There no, there's something wrong with the body. Something is happening. Maybe you're pregnant. The 5G. The birds. Here we fucking go with the birds. No, but I just every morning for the past week, 3.55 sharp. I feel like that's a sign. There's spirit. It's my father. He's coming through. He's coming through. He's got a message. He has something to say. He's telling me to get to the construction site. Oh my god. So yeah, I'm a little tired by the time 11:30 rolls around. I mean, it's fair. It's fair. I've been napping the last few days, too. Yeah. By like 1, 1:30. Taking a little siesta. I look at Matt and I'm like, I'm gonna go upstairs. I'm gonna go have a lay down. I'm gonna go upstairs. And then like he follows, and then I get snug as a bug. Yeah. And I sleep for like an hour, hour and a half, and then I like rise and shine. Yeah. And I'm like, okay, next task. Yeah, you're like second half of my day. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I think Matt wanted to kill me the other day when we were painting. Why? Because you were like, Because I was like, no, more like he was done. Like I said to him, it's just one wall in the hallway, the stairwell. It will be so easy four hours later. Right. Matt was not having it. Yeah. He was. I was like, all right, we have one more room to paint. And no, the face was saying at all. So I was like, we'll revisit next weekend. Put a pin in it. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, well. So that was my week off. Great. Return tomorrow. Yep. I can't wait to go a maternity. Yes. I'm like, is he really about to say that he can't wait to go back? Well, not too. I do, I do love it. But I just I can't wait to go a maternity. Yes. Start having children. Okay. Same. Yeah. Mm-hmm. I can't wait for the day where I'm like, I come into work and I'm like, I have something to tell you. Well, I feel as though I would know before it was brought to work because you are going to be carrying said child for us. Oh, were you gonna say something else? No. Oh, okay. I I was gonna be I was yeah, I mean, yes, but not your child, my child. Oh, well, your child is my child. Oh, this is awkward. Mag get legal on the t on the phone. Let's go. Um she's trying to take our kid. Oh my god. Uh listen, I deal's a deal. You can't go back now. I am more than happy to carry your child. Blah blah blah. I also am even more over the moon about carrying your own child. Carrying mine and my my beautiful man's uh child. That's gonna be a basketball player. Yeah, it is. I can't wait. My mom and I were talking about that last night. I can't wait. Why? Because you can't wait to laugh at my pain when I'm pushing a fucking level. No, I can't wait. I can't wait until my nephew makes it into the fucking NBA and I'm sitting courtside with fucking Jordan Woods. With your birthday. Yeah. Like, let's go team. Like, you're doing great, sweetie. That we're like and I'm gonna be his manager, of course. Of course. Of course. Of course. Auntie knows best. Auntie knows best. Auntie Johnny. Oh. No. No. Not Johnny. Auntie Jojo. I had an uncle that would call me Johnny as a kid, and brings back. I want to spring down, spring back up, and high kick. I hate being called Johnny. Yeah. I hate it. Yeah. And I know that about you. So why would you do that to me? Because my child won't know any better. You're bringing me back to a dark time. My child won't know any better. Well, that's why I'm around to teach it. Okay. Doing God's work. Right. Teaching. Anyway, yeah, that's gonna be a 6-4 baby. Good thing for stitches. Yeah. Yeah. And a big ass dome. Oh my god. Big head, probably, but. Does he have a big head? Yes, but like in a long way, not in like a round way. Like he's I feel like his face is very long. Oh my god. I did not like that hand gesture. It's giving cone head. That is I don't mean to call like that's giving egg. I don't mean to call my boyfriend a cone head. That's not what I was trying to depict. Oh. He's just he has a very oval-shaped head. Okay. I got a fucking pumpkin. This thing is a dome. Thanks, Dad. Like. I think I have a pretty big head too. I feel like I always have to adjust the um like on hats. Like I always have to make it. At least you can find a hat to fit you. My god. You know it's bad when you have to take an ibuprofen before you put the hat on. Oh my god. Because it cuts the circulation, and I just continue to do it. I'm like, Matt, can you grab me an ibuprofen? You need a fucking hat that has like fucking waistband. Like what the hell? Yeah. It's not cute. Matt's always like, did you adjust it? I'm like, I'm on the last setting. Sweatpants are the only thing that's like. Literally. Literally. The struggle is real. Oh my god. And then not to mention when I'm nervous, I turn beet red. So it just looked like a fucking heirloom tomato. Like. Between fucking circulations. Ready for a Caprice salad. And you fucking take your hat off, and there's like a white line. Yeah. Yup. Oh God. And you want me to push your baby out? Well, I actually Matt and I were having this conversation. Was it yesterday morning? Matt was like, I feel like we should just like try. Put it into a cup. Both of them spin it around and whoever wins wins. And I was like, I don't think it really works that way, but who are we to know? I mean. What? What? Oh, don't play hard to get now. So what? She's acting brand now. You are what? She's been flirting all day. She's been leading. Okay, okay. Now she wants to act different. I see you. I see you. Mm-hmm. So carry her water and everything. Load her shit into the cart and then into her car for her. And this is the payback. No, here's the thing. I'm just confused. Do you think that you guys are gonna fucking run a train on a bitch? And just see whatever and I'm up. This is this is a family show. Suddenly it's a family show. We were talking about baby dying weekend last weekend and now it's a family show. I wonder how baby dying weekend was. Probably a washout. I think the girls still arrived. Oh yeah, they were not. Like I said, it rains every year. I think it's tradition. Yeah. So the girls can fucking take their flannels off and run around in their tank tops down commercial street. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm. As they should. As they should, honey. As they should. Yeah. Good for them. Because that's like pony slides. Oh. Woo. Anyway, we'll put a pin in the biological uh development of your child that's going to form inside of my uterus at a later date. That's yeah, we'll leave that to the lawyers. Yeah. Oh, I don't like the attitude I'm getting. Don't like it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Listen, I'm just How is your weak without me? Um, you know. Even though we saw each other multiple times. We did. Yeah. And we did. Um was fine. I was very bored. I was very bored. I feel like it's now that weird in between like Memorial Day. Like everyone's coming back, so it's a little busy, and then that happens and then it drops now until like the third week of June when everyone's out of school. Yeah. We did have quite a few people, you know, that came back that were like, I've been gone all winter. And I'm like, it shows because you look like a fucking leather handbag. How was Florida? Out here looking like a baked step lobster. Legit um came up here with their crusty attitudes, and I'm like, oh, bring it back to Florida, bitch. You are not the one here. It's gonna be a long season. Yeah. Long season. Yeah. Speaking of long season. Mm-hmm. I just I need to rant for a moment. It's been on the tip of the tongue, it's been at the fingertips. I I just if I see one more knit sweater with a fucking American flag, I'm gonna. Babe, I think we're still in the era of clean girl, whatever that is, and I think that that goes hand in hand. Like I don't think it's just so it's cookie cutter. I I can't, I I can't shall we get old Mamie on the line? Like not even. You know, if you can't get the original Ralph Lauren version of it, I don't want to see it. I don't want to see your Amazon dupe. I don't want to see your Chatham Bungalow dupe store have an I don't want to see any of it. I don't it's overrated, it's overcurated, I don't want to see it. I don't want to see your get ready with me to go to Nan Socket for the weekend. I don't care. That is just so boring. Boring. Yeah. I want to tap back to the days when it was like, okay, Memorial Day weekend, pack the fucking cooler, we're going to the outer beach, we're getting litty titty. I'm gonna shotgun a case of twisted tees and end up at the woodshed. Like shotgun a case of twees. Like, that's what it was. Yes, that's that that is Memorial Day weekend. Yeah. I don't want to see the knit sweaters and the come get ready with me to go to Nantucket. I just come shop Main Street chat with me. I uh oh, okay. What are you getting a fucking vineyard vine shirt and a piece of fudge from the manor? I don't care. It's not cute. It's been done. Let's do something else. Yeah. Roll down the embankment of Chatham Light. Give me some excitement. Scale the fucking lighthouse. Be exciting. Be risky. Yeah. Shake your ass in the middle of our own. Come from Monomoy Island and mimic a seal. Yes. I want, I want different. I want charisma. Okay, okay, but maybe we are the different. Honey, we are the adobo. The other bitches are salt and pepper. Not not even. Pepper's too spicy. Ketchup is spicy. Not the ketchup is spicy. But that also speaks to the meal that we just had for lunch. I am devastated. Okay. Yeah. Here we are having a beautiful family outing at BJ's, buying a new vacuum, as families do. And of course, shopping makes us hungry. We're in the area, one of my favorite places. Welcome to Mouse. I say to Shannon, you want to go to Mo's? Me and Matt love it there. Like, always a great time. I'm even telling Shannon about what my favorite employee there. Because okay, frequent flyer. Like, give me a punch card. Give me a sponsorship. Yeah. So we go to Mo's. Customer service was great. No issue there. Nothing with that. The food. The food. Yeah. I was devastated because this has never happened to me there. How can you call it adobo chicken with no adobo? Where there's no fucking adobo on it. It was soap. I think the sour cream had more flavor than everything else in my bowl. I'm devastated. White people are ruining everything. Okay? And here comes the activism again. You're right. You're right. Put me on a billboard. I have a message. And I'm here for the people and the animals. Yeah. No, but like. No, I I hear you. Oh my god. My my meal was not what I wanted it to be. It didn't hit the way it should have. And then I felt like trash because here I am, like, oh my god, you're gonna love it. Let's go. Well, I had been to Mo's like years ago, but it was in an airport, and that was like also like a forgettable experience. So I was like, you know what? Let's give it another go. I I mean, I guess I need to start traveling with my own spices, cuz which sucks. No, I don't want to carry my big ass fucking bottle of Adobe around. No. If you ain't sneezing, you ain't seasoning. Mm-hmm. That that's that is what it is, honey. Correct. Correct. I'm gonna start fucking stealing fucking Sean's. He always has a what a hot toss. He he I mean he probably would if he felt comfortable doing that, but I don't think he would. Um he has not only at his own house, but at my house, has um he calls it his Cajun persuasion. Oh, Cajun seasoning. Yes. Oh yeah. He puts it on, I'm not kidding, everything. Oh, same. Like he puts it, like the way that I use Adobe, he uses Cajun seasoning. I love that. And um, that's about to be me. Like, he will love my cooking then. Yeah, probably. Gotta have him over for dinner. He'll love it. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Make him some Cajin Alfredo pasta. Oh, he would devour. Yeah, he would creep over that. Yeah, we'll make that happen. We'll put it on the calendar. We'll put it on the calendar. Put that on the to-do list. Like, when we're playing all these fucking restaurants adobo, because I I just can't. Simple seasoning. Come on. I'm just asking for some like garlic powder. Yeah. A little onion powder. Some fucking Italian seasoning. Something. Something. Not nothing. Yeah. No. I can't have it. I'll even take a little bit of paprika for some scala. Yes. Something. A little smoking. Yeah. Something. Something. Yeah. So we need seasoning. No more cable knits with the fucking flags. Okay. Get a fucking band t-shirt. Wear some cutoffs. Wear some bands. Pack it away. Pack and play. Put it away. Okay. I'm done. No, I'm not. No, I'm opening that bag up again. Fuck it up. I think the common denominator there's me. I'm the issue. No. Okay. It's white people. Really opening a can of worms. I'm gonna leave it there. Yeah. I'm just saying. Yeah. As a white boy who grew up in the ghetto, and I mean the ghetto, like my street was like getting drive-bys, like was almost hit in the head at eight years old with like the smash bar because the SWAT team like raided a house. Yes. No, like legit almost cranked in the head at eight years old. And my mother on the third floor hanging out the window screaming. Like Karen was having a meltdown. And I was held in the neighbor's arms across the street and watched the house downstairs get raided. Yeah. So in the ghetto, okay. Yeah. The flavor profile. It just, I mean. The flavor profile, the style. At six years old, I was hanging out with the little girl next door, and we were playing with her rabbit, and then the following week I went over and I'm like, where's the rabbit? And she's like, What do you mean? I'm like, where's the rabbit? I want to play. She was like, We ate the rabbit last week. And I was like, No, we didn't. And she goes, Yes, you did. Yeah. Yep. Flavor. Like. Yeah. That's giving like what? It's giving eight miles. I'm just I'm just reflecting on that for a moment because like you're not wrong. But I'm also like that's not accurate either. Like it's it's giving both. Yeah. It's giving both. Yeah. Yeah. Who plays MM? Me. I guess the girl. Oh, okay. Okay. Mom spaghetti. And she yeah. And that was and the rabbit was mom spaghetti. Yeah. These days I do eat rabbit. It's delicious. Do you? Yeah, it tastes like chicken. Okay. Like everything. Yeah. Okay. I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food. There's like very few things that I won't do. Yeah. Like I don't like Bambi just because I've tried it and it just for me it's gonna say I can't do the cast of Bambi. Yeah. Like I'm not doing thumper. I'm not doing Bambi. No flour, please. Yeah. Like I've tried it and I I know it's like so good for you. And I, you know, I I think for you. Bambi. It's like lean or whatever. I don't that's I don't know. Maybe that's a lie. But everyone around me that eats it, they tell me that. So elk. I know people that eat elk, they love it. That's like the same thing as Bambi, is it not? Yeah. Okay. Just bigger. Right. Yeah. Medium. So a little tougher. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. A little spin smelly. Yeah. That's okay. But everything else I'm pretty much game for. Okay. I mean, I like pretty much everything. Okay. Yeah. I can't say the same for myself. I mean, I shouldn't say that. I am open to trying different cuisines. Different meats freak me out. I don't know if that is that's like a childhood thing. There was a point I was I was vegan for six months of my life, and that was a beautiful time. Until it wasn't. I remember that. Yeah. It didn't last long. It was six months. No, I know. That's a long time. Yeah, true. When you love cheese and shit. Yeah, that is. I would never I could never. I said the same thing and then I did it, and I was like, honestly, this is good. Like I feel I felt so good. Like I was so energized. But then there was one month where my period came and it was well the worst. And I needed Gimme's steak. Yeah. I was like, I need a cheeseburger. No. No. So where did she go? She went to fucking Dairy Queen. Oh. Broke her veganism at Dairy Queen. Of all places. And let's just really thought you were gonna hit us with a BK burger. Oh no, I wish. No, it should have been that. I was like, oh, she got a whopper. No, I hit it with the I hit it with the DQ with the fucking with the fucking burger and the fr and the cheese curd. I was just gonna ask, did you get the cheese curd? Oh and I got like a baby blizzard. She was blowing the toilet up later. It was not good. It was not good. I was on the toilet for what thought like days. It was she was coming in hot. It was, but it was worth every bite. Yeah. So savory. So savory. I was unwell for a long time after that, though. Um, and I was like, you know what? I'm just gonna like go back to being vegan, and then I very much did not. See, Matt and I tried this diet. What was it? It's complete opposite of veganism. We did the carnivore diet. Why? So um Matt has an uncle who actually does it and has been doing it for years, and we were talking, and he was like explaining all the benefits and like how good he felt, and so we were like, you know what? Fuck it, let's try it. First couple days are kind of rough because here you are just eating all this meat, and you get the meat sweats like straight up, straight up. So like it's literal what is it? Is it like literally only meat? Yeah, you literally eat just cheese and meat. Oh my god, I know you're gonna eat like your poops were insane. No. Were you backed up? No. Oh. They were like this was so foul. They were the cleanest shit I've ever taken. Like BM. So smooth. Okay. Cleanup was chef's kiss. Love that. Like it was great. Wow, okay, great. And I felt amazing. Okay, great. No carbs? No carbs. Okay. No carbs. So, like, at the time when I was doing it, like at work, I would order from the 99, I would order the kids' burger. Okay. Because it came with two patties, cheese, and then I would just throw the bun away. Okay. You could also have been like, no bun, please. True, but I felt like I was already breaking the rules getting a kid's meal. I didn't want to be more of an asshole. Okay. Because I'm thoughtful. Um I don't know who you're picking up for. But that is when I found out my husband could lie to me. Story time. Oh boy. So here we are. Doing this diet together. Just telling each other the woes and the struggles. I really want this, but I know we can't. We're sticking to this. And one day after work, Matt and I decide to go for a brilliant little ride in his car. And there I find a Burger King receipt. Here I am at work depriving myself. Because I'm like, I have to be loyal. Matt is doing it too. He can do it. I can do it too. Yes, exactly. We're gonna do it together. Time to find out I was left high and dry. And then I was like, I'm disappointed because there's been so many times when I wanted to break it, and I just kept telling myself, Matthew, Matthew, and here you are just breaking it. Oh my god. I still love to bust his balls about that. What did you get? Don't lie. Probably double bacon cheese. Okay. Which you could eat the bacon and the burger and the cheese. But you were eating the bun and the fries and a soda. Yeah. Meanwhile, I'm just eating my two fucking kids' patties in the fucking butter. So dry. So dry. I couldn't even have ketchup. Really? Yeah, no, no condiments, no artificial sugars, nothing. See, I was You weren't even supposed to have coffee. Like we were breaking it and drinking black coffee. Oh my god. Or you could have um heavy cream. Oh yeah. So it's kind of similar to keto. Yes. Similar, but like more strict. Because you really can't be eating fruits, veggies. Yeah, it's a big thing. So where do you get your fucking nutrients? The meat. Does meat have like fucking the vitamins that vegetables have? I don't know, girl. We did it for a couple weeks. I felt great, and then I think same thing happened. Summer came and I was like, we want to go get a blizzard. Like I'm pretty sure that's what happened. Yeah. And then the next day I was like, fuck this. Do you even want to do this anymore? Do you want to go get a bagel? Like and that was it. Okay. Getcha. But yeah, it did feel amazing, but whatever. Yeah. Hmm. Hmm. I don't remember why I brought up my veganism. Because I'm an activist. No. No? No. I have nothing to do with it. I think I'm a vegan. Because Jonathan. I'm not done active activizing. I'm like, where's my billboard? Where's my campaign message? Oh my god. No, it was because you were like, I'm adventurous and like my food. And I was like, me too, but like not really with my meat. Yes. Not really with my meat. Do you like seafood? I love seafood. Okay. I love seafood. Great. Um I have a love-hate relationship with steak. Mm-hmm. When I was a kid, I hated it. Like it was the food that my dad would make me sit there and not move until I ate it. Trauma. Can't relate. Yeah, not a lot of people can. Yeah, I love steak. Um now I can eat. I like I enjoy eating steak, but I really have to be in the mood for it, and it has to be cooked. Don't break my heart. Then I won't even say. Um, it also has to be like heavily seasoned, heavily like sauced of some sort. Okay. Um and like potentially like something I can like Do you want it like a hockey puck? You like it, like leather, like well done. But like mm, like medium wellish. Okay. Oh, you would not like my steak then. No, because I know you like it fucking mooing. She's like mooing on the plate. Disgusting. Like put your fork into it and it goes moo. Yeah. Straight up. Like I've had to I've had to scale it up a little bit because now like I cook it for me and Matt. And I know there's been a few occasions where Matt is still like, ooh, but he like pushes through because the flavor is there, honey. But yeah, I would have it like no raw on the plate. That's disgusting. Hillary Duff does the same thing. Yeah, I bet she does. So yesterday. Um yeah, I can't, yeah. No. Me and Steak is like a yes right now, but we go through moments. Okay. Okay, that's right. Um, I love a burger. I do. Um, again, though, has to be cooked right. Can't be can't be still bleeding because that grosses me out. Um don't like lamb. Lamb. Lamb is so gross to me. I don't know what the hell. So good. No, girl. And then um I like certain pig meats. Okay. Can't do a pork chop. Don't know what it is about a pork chop that I can't, I just can't handle it. You know what I think that might be? I feel like pork chops are so hard to cook because like you overcook that thing and it's dry. Yeah. So I feel like seasoning. Do you like fig? Yeah. Like a fig glaze reduction with a pork chop. Okay. So good. Matt has done that so good, Chef's guess. So I feel like you would enjoy it that way because it like stays kind of moist, it's not dry, texture's good, flavor's good. Fair. I think you would like that. Yeah. My parents loved pork chop when I was growing up, and I'm like, I fucking hate this. Oh my god, growing up, that was like my mom's thing. Her fucking shake and bake pork chop. I can't always making shake and bake pork chops tonight. And I would be like, okay, great. Like, great, Karen. Thank you, Chef Karen. Oh my god. Uh yeah, no. My yeah, no. No. No. So you like the ham? I like ham. Okay. Like deli meats or like um either or at like holidays. Yeah, like holidays, love a ham. Okay. Love a deli meat ham. And I hate ham. That's so funny. Hate it. So many people I know hate ham, but I love ham. I love a gliz. Love me a good huzzelog. Love me a sausage. I eat a hot dog maybe once a year. Okay. Okay. Once a year, I get like this craping. And she's gotta be like cooked just right. I don't want like thick char. I don't like that. Oh see, I love it. Nope. I like I love my hot dogs like kind of burnt. And see, I like hot dogs how I like my steak, like raw. Which is interesting because you don't really like ham needle. It's kind of crazy. But I like just the slightest crisp to it, and she's gotta be condiment out. Like I mean, yeah. Ketchup, relish, mustard. Yeah. If we have some raw onion, throw that in. Love me a grilled onion on there. Throw some fucking chili on there with a little spice. Oh, chili dog. I'd love a chili dog. Speaking of which. Love me a chili dog. I have one of those from DQ one time. And that was the last time. Haven't been back since for a chili dog. I mean, I think it's kind of like an honorary thing. Something in the chili they're not telling us about. You have to have a chili dog from DQ once, and then that's the only time you'll ever have a chili dog. It was a learning experience. That's for sure. Yeah. I said get me home. Because that is honestly like uh yes, I had the I've had the same experience and never had it again. Eye opening. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah. Uh hot dog once a year. And apparently I'm craving it this week because we bought them when we went grocery shopping. I was like, we'll make burgers and dogs one night. Burgers and dogs at summer time. Yes. God bless me, it's fucking summer. Oh my god, get my knit sweater with the American flag. I want a hot dog. Oh my god. It's like the 4th of July. Please. Please. Do you know some people don't travel over the bridge? Yeah, my mom being one of them. Well, that's different. Your mom grew up over the bridge. I guess. So I feel like that's like different. Um but you want to take that? No, just uh fucking total free call, get probably twelve of them a day. So annoying. Um what's on the agenda for the week? Do you want to take my shows? I would love to accept my vaccine. No. Perhaps catch up on the sleep that I'm in missing since I'm up every morning at 3.55. I'm looking forward to um because I was up early pretty much every day this week too for not because I wanted to. Not because I couldn't sleep, because I definitely could have, but I had a lot of things going on in the mornings this week. Disruptive. Disruptive. Inconsiderate. So tomorrow and uh Tuesday, I'm looking forward to having a little R. Love that. Yeah. Would you um like to try our delicious snacks from our non-sponsor? Sure. Sure. We have a couple flavors. And this is Wiley Wallaby. We did uh feature them in last week's episode as well. We are we are their number one fans for real for real. We have so many flavors here. We're trying um flavors that we haven't tried yet. I did try the classic red flavor. Yeah. So good. Okay. The face. You haven't had it yet? No, I haven't. No, I've only had the watermelon in the uh berry blast. So we know that we love the watermelon. We love we love the the berry blast. Yeah. So we have a couple other flavors here. We have original fruit uh fruits, excuse me. Okay, what is that supposed to taste like? It is a mix of strawberry, green apple, and watermelon. Okay. Okay, she sounds delightful. She sounds summery. Yeah, she sounds like summer. We have classic lemonade. Okay, fun. Can't wait for that. She could be a good topper for like a vodka drink. Ugh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then we have classic red, which is your strawberry flavored. Yes. That one is so good. These are vegan. Yeah, it says right here. Where? Oh, maybe just the strawberries. Oh no, it says plant-based right here. Oh my god, I love that. She is fat-free and no high fructose corn syrup. We love that. You can tell honestly with the shit because it doesn't like the strawberry one. I was a little nervous about because of like the strawberry twisler. Yeah. Um let's hold on, hold on. Let's give it a little ASMR. Oh. Sorry, I had to put you down for that one. But oh, she's hitting me right in the face with her. Yeah. But it doesn't. Oh, this is what we mean, people. Yeah. Flavor. Flavor. Flavor. Like take the notes. Fucking up the mic here, sorry. Oh, I can smell her from over here. Oh my god. I just like threw the fucking wrapper down your fucking couch. Sorry. Disrespectful. Oh, this is good. So is this like is it like, oh, they're all mixed in there, so you don't really know what you're gonna get. I haven't had the I'm gonna try a green one because I haven't tried the green apple. Same. Matt's like, I want the green. Okay, the classic red is really good. I enjoy her. Okay. But I love green apple. It's giving green um green Jolly Rancher. Maybe I should see, I don't really like artificial green apple. I'm gonna try it. Let's try it. It's really good. Alright, let's. Oh wow, Matt. Only one green left. Sorry. What a bitch. Waiting for her to tackle me. Oh my god, the green looks like gushers. No. Alright. I'm waiting for the flavor to hit. There it is. Okay. Ew, I hate you. No, no, no, no. You know why? Because I was chewing gum first. Right. Then I had the strawberry. Mm-hmm. So it was like tasting like mint strawberry the whole time. Okay. Green's not bad. Whoa! Um. What? So the lemonade smells like lemonade. Is she giving crystal light? Kinda. Okay. Oh my god. Remember your crystal light phase? What do you mean I'm still in it? No, when you were like showing up to parties and making your vodka cocktail cocktail with crystal light. And I still do. Do you? Yeah, except now it's with now it's still with tequila because I'm not a vodka girly anymore. Oh my god. Yeah. Wow. And here she was giving me shit about carrying a flask. Well, actually, I've never carried the flask, but having one. Oh, she's wow. It's like delightful. I want that like in a glade thing. Oh, I think I think the lemonade's my new favorite. Oh shit. Oh my god, this tastes like It tastes like something. It tastes like fresh lemonade. Like fresh squeeze lemonade. No, but it tastes like Lemonhead? No, I mean yes, but it's it's giving. It's reminding me of something from my childhood and I can't put my finger on it. It's um like a lemon starburst. Lemon Starburst? Is that like there's a lemon starburst? Yeah, yellow. Really? Oh, wait, yeah, he's right. Don't talk about candy with Matt. He'll ruin Skittles for you. I have not been able to eat Skittles since I started dating Matt. He ruined it for me. Tell her, Matt. Tell it for the people. The inside is the exact same flavor. Except the inside has just the flavor differently. So they're all the same on the inside. I don't believe that. No, that's not what you told me before. You told me they're all the same flavor, different scent. That's what I'm saying. I still don't believe it. Sorry. He also lies about eating BK, so you can't be trusted. Oh, the classic red is so good. Yeah, it is good. Um So out of everything that we've tried so far, what do you think is your fave? I still think watermelon's my number one. I know. I'm like watermelon is that one just hits. And then I think I like lemonade. And then I think I like berry blasted. And then red. I think I like today, Junior. Relax. I think I like watermelon's first for me. Mary Blasted might be my next. Okay. Then lemonade. Yeah. And then Strawberry is probably last for me, to be honest. Okay. The green apple honestly is somewhere in my top top, but I can't place her right now. She's not bad, but she's definitely not in my top. Oh, okay. Well. Well, there were only three of the green apples. Three only green apple. Oh. A little stingy. I know. I was like, let me try it again. But they sell it individually, right? Yes. Green apple is its own flavor. We just haven't been able to find it. Yeah. We need to shop at Ace. Yeah. They have a lit candy section. We need to go. Yeah. Um. I love this candy. So good. I need them to sponsor us. I don't want money. I just want you to send me a lifetime supply. I just want boxes of candy. That's it. Like literally. I want to I just need to be reminded of this. Let me just see. Yeah. Refresh the palette. Refresh my palette here. It just smells good too. It just reminds me of a blueberry pop-tart. Yeah. Yeah. Like in the best way. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. Because what? It's a mix of huckleberry, blueberry pomegranate, like please. And triple berry flavored licoricees. If you can hear a smack in our gab, we're sorry. But these are fucking good. Hey, and I'm not sorry. Delectable. Go buy some. Who knows? Maybe we'll get a coupon code for you guys. That'd be awesome. But also send me a lifetime supply. Yeah. Honestly, if you could just send over a case. I bet they could turn me on to black licorice. Have you tried that? Have you tried it from not from them. Oh, let's just try it. We'll get that next week. I fucking hate black licorice. I actually don't mind it. Okay. I know it's kind of psycho, but. I will say, I'm wondering if because I'm about to be fucking 30. Oh, I thought you were gonna say something else. If my fucking um my flavor palette is changing or something, because recently I went to a Greek restaurant and had um, I don't remember what the liquor is called, but um yes, uzo. I had um like an uzo uh cocktail, uzo martini, and he was the bartender was like, you know, if you're not a black liquorice person, you might not like that. This is not gonna be for you, but my friend got it. And I and she was like, you have to try this. And so I did, and it was probably one of the best cocktails of my I've ever tasted in my life. I've never had that before, oozo. It isn't it supposed to be sort of like sambuka? I don't think I've ever had sambuka either. Sambuka is nasty. Nasty. Honey, if you could drink a grape crush, you could drink anything. I mean, there was a time where I could, and that time is not now. Get the shamboa. Help the shampoo. Let's make a drink. Oh god. I can feel the heartburn. The heartburn. I had never been so hungover in my life. All the sugar. All the sugar. I uh I think before attending that shindig, I had pineapple and I had yeah, it was just let's just say my hangover included having pineapple chunks lodged in my fucking sinus cavities. This it was not good. It was a not a good day. It reminds me of a time that I got blackout drunk and before drinking. I had cheesy hash browns. Oh no. And no, we're done. We're done. We're done. I had to clean that up out of a friend's car the next day. That was not cute. You live and you learn. It's all part of it, you know. I haven't had cheesy hash brown since. I bet you haven't. I bet you haven't. I couldn't have pineapple for a very long time after that. Anyway. Well, it was a glorious week. This has been a glorious week. We'll see you on the next one. See you next Tuesday.
