⨠Talk Blonde to Me â¨
And we're back. We're back in the tub. I love it. Back in the tub. Tub talk with Tam and Tam. Or Tam and Jill.
SPEAKER_00Jill and Tam. Tam and Tam.
SPEAKER_01Here we are. How do we end up in here, Jill?
SPEAKER_00Oh gosh. Well, one day I was like, Tim, let's do a podcast. And she was like, okay, let's do it. That was clear back in December, people. And so I was like getting the microphones, the lighting just right. I was getting ready to get ready. And we know when you're trying to do stuff. Don't go for perfect. No, it does. Yeah, you just can't go to perfect. So I just kept saying, I'm like, Tam, let's do the she's like, let's just jump in the tub and start. So we started with live streams. We jumped in the tub one night. I did not know what was going to come out of Tammy's mouth. So that was fun. So episode one ended up being what?
SPEAKER_01Episode one, Jill had a phone date. At her age, a phone date. You only talk on the phone. I'm 54. You're getting older. But anyway, no, but it wasn't FaceTime. It wasn't phone sex, nothing. So episode one was talking about what you do on a phone date, which is nothing but talk on a phone. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And it wasn't, it wasn't even FaceTime. It was just a phone.
SPEAKER_01Just a phone.
SPEAKER_00Phone.
SPEAKER_01Episode two was the recap of episode one of what happened with him, what personality color, how she felt about it.
SPEAKER_00Because I did the phone date.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. She did do the phone date. Yes. And from episode one, she got slapped in the face a few times from people, just their opinions. I did. It's fine.
SPEAKER_00Yes. But after episode one, I had another guy reach out and say, I want a phone date. So I had two phone dates.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Not FaceTime, just phone.
SPEAKER_01I had double date that day. One was at night, the one night, the next was at noon. Then we went to episode three. We needed a therapist. That's where the Marilla Garcia came in. Because we need all the help we can get.
SPEAKER_00And I'm like, this dating thing. And Tam Tam's single. She just doesn't, she just picks on me. She doesn't even date. You don't even do phone dates.
SPEAKER_01I'm smarter than you, Jim. But anyway, we really want to come into that dating over 50. Then episode four, we had Marella. We were talking about trying to help her. And finally, I stepped in and lined her up with this great person, a lot younger than I, knew him when he was a little kid. Yes. Lined him up. Here we are. Did she or didn't she?
SPEAKER_00Right. And during this whole time, we've been talking about color code, like personalities. Right? Yeah. So go over the personalities with them really quick.
SPEAKER_01Okay, really quick. If you are red, you move fast, fast decisions. You're the you're the boss. You're in charge. Yes. Show me the money. If you're yellow, which is me, and part and part yell. She's part. Anyway, it's like a butterfly. Never put them in the bottle with the lid. They're going to die.
SPEAKER_00If you do, that's why I think we've been divorced a couple of times. Yes. We felt like we were like a butterfly put in that. Remember when you were little and you put it like in a mason jar, and then what did happen? It you even poke holes in the top, but when they can't like a few times. When you can't spread your wings and fly, you just die. So we kind of felt like we were dying.
SPEAKER_01So we're not really good at that. We're I'm kind of a lever. She's a sticker till she can't stick anymore. So that's the yellow. The blue is most people really, I think, I'm half blue. She's half blue. They are very responsible, literal, mean what they say, say what they do. You're not literal. Yes, she is. Are you kidding? Literal. You guys, she is so literal, you cannot believe it. And what literal means to you, if Jill tells you she's gonna be there at noon with gifts for all of your kids and party hats, she will. If I tell you that, I probably won't because I'm somewhere else with my girlfriends. There you go. Or my secret lover. Okay, so then um the blue, so they're the best, they're responsible and everything. And the white's very analytical, and that was your second trial at marriage, which didn't go well. Very nice man, very white, literal down the line. So we did the color code. Yes. Finally, I lined her up, you guys, with this great guy. Now I haven't seen him in years, right? So it was a little risky, but because she was literal, she believed what I said about him when he was a child. And you went on the date. So let's go. I've had tips all day long.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. Well, I am exhausted today. No, that didn't start well, actually. I'm just tired because I it was a great date, but I didn't sleep last night. I didn't do my hair, didn't do my makeup, and I'm still in my robe.
SPEAKER_01So I assume if you didn't sleep, he slipped over. And I didn't know what to do. I am not like that. I don't well, I don't know. Oh my god. You guys, I don't know. I have my wing of the house, she has her wing of the house.
SPEAKER_00He left out the door. Great. Okay, yes. He did not sneak back in. Okay. I just didn't sleep. Anyway, I'm exhausted. Tammy's like, no, we're getting in the tub to recap your date. And I'm like, can we just do it tomorrow? I can't keep getting the phone calls about you, Miss Personality. She's like, no, just get in the tub. So again, we're getting in the tub. No rehearsed. She doesn't even know how our date went.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So we're gonna talk a little bit blonde here. That's how our brains kind of work. So, Jillie, let's start from the front. All right, let's start because we gave you tips. Marilla gave you tips what to do and not to do. Yeah. Okay. So everyone he came to the door, of course, I answered. She sure did. And he said, I wish I was going with you, but I'll take her. Anyway. So I answered the door. I greeted him really kindly. He was very nice. I thought very good looking. Yeah. Okay, man. Very good looking. Dressed amazing. Here we go. Jill comes out of the bedroom, and what happened when he saw you?
SPEAKER_00Well, I think he thought I looked great.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, his mouth dropped open. He liked, I could tell you guys he liked to write off. She did not let him down.
SPEAKER_00Well, and he was so kind. Like he's like, hey, we're going to this restaurant. I'm wearing this. Like he said, he's wearing nice jeans, button-down, black shirt, just so I knew how to dress. That was very kind. So I'll right away I'm like, oh, he's even telling me what he's wearing so I could dress accordingly, right? And it took her two days to decide what to wear, you guys. So Julie, what did you wear? Oh my gosh. So I wore like some black leather pants and a cream-colored ponies and stressful doodles. She always seemed the salmon wore. Anytime I say cream, the word cream, like the salad.
SPEAKER_01You guys don't ever say that word to her. She seems the whole chorus. Okay. So she looked really good. Oh my gosh. And your makeup looked really good. Oh, thank you. Coming from Harry Kane, your makeup looked really good today. Okay, so he comes. Did I open the door to get you guys out?
SPEAKER_00Did he what help? No, he did. He let us out the house. And then he opened my door for me. And his one thing I really appreciate and I think is super hot is that his car was spotless. Like inside, outside, spotless. And what does that mean? If a car is super spotless, what does that mean? Your life is spotless.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. You are organized, you guys. I learned years ago. People make judgments in five seconds. And if I believe if you have a clean car, you have a clean soul. I think so, too. Clean house.
SPEAKER_00What happened to you? It just sounded good, Jim, because you're a blur. Your car is spotless. What happened to your soul? My kids wonder. It's too much. Okay, so we get you in the car. Nice car. Super nice car. A VW, um, like a spore utility VW. Yeah. Super nice. Okay. So then we just chat all the way to dinner. Okay, so he he's not from he's kind of from St. George. He has a second home here. Anyway, he Googled like fine dining in St. George. I found this out later. So we pull up to this place and we're like, oh my gosh, are we in the right place? It's like this strip mall by a gas station and a car wash, and it's like this hole in the wall. And we're like, are we at the right place? It's so if you're from St. George or if you're coming to St. George, Utah, it's called Arabottas. Okay, so it's we walk in. Oh, it's adorable.
SPEAKER_01Who opened the door? You or him? He opened the door. Okay, another tip that guys are watching or girls that don't open that door, you just stand back for the door. That's right.
SPEAKER_00You just sit there, you just sit there until they open it. But he came right around, opened the door, and then we walk in. Darling Place only sits about 20 people, and it was a chef's side five-course meal. Like it took us three hours to eat this meal. And the chef would bring it out. He even brought out like the cut of meat to show us what he was gonna fix for us before he even cooked it. He came out with each plate and watched us take like the first bite to make sure that we like loved it. And oh my gosh, this food was incredible. I even had Esther go for my first time ever.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Chilly, so the chef is sitting there. He's watching you eat. If it's not good, do you spit it in your napkin? Like, what do you do? Well, I don't know, because everything just like melted in your mouth and was just delicious.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Okay, so conversation. Oh my gosh. It was so good. Like great conversation. We talked the entire time. Um, it was just so fun.
SPEAKER_01It was just didn't have his hand on your knee. You know how there's a connection.
SPEAKER_00We were in we were across the table.
SPEAKER_01Well, there's just a connection, you know, where you touch the leg or they rub your arm, maybe touch feet. So it wasn't anything else. Oh, no, we were just sitting across the table. Okay, that's about that's good.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so then what happens? So, I mean, it took three hours. So then after that, um, we left and went to this cute little, like what's it called? Up by the Dixie Rock. It's like a natural path. It's not makeup. It's makeup points. I knew you were gonna say that.
SPEAKER_01I'm promising George Steel. I know what points about.
SPEAKER_00It's like a little nature walkie path kind of thing. Anyway, and it was all lit up. So he took me there and we just strolled through the cute little nature park, and then there was this this cute little swing that we sat on. How fun. Yeah. He sounds like a that's a really um kind of he grabbed my jacket out of a car and he held it out and let me put it on, like helped me put it on. That's extra points. Yes. That's extra points.
SPEAKER_01Wait, you guys, we have to go back to the restaurant. So the bill comms, it's over 300. How much is that bill?
SPEAKER_00Well, he doesn't know that I know, but I saw that like the owner's phone that had a it was $389. That was it.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_01So who paid? Like, did oh now here's where it comes in. This is the closing. He's like, um, Jill, I was wondering if are we going to split this? How how'd he handle the money? Show me.
SPEAKER_00No, in fact, he saw he's seen some of our tuck talks that we've done. So he on the way there, he's like, hey, just so you know, I brought the coupons and I hope you brought your credit card. And so he was teasing me. But no, he paid. He paid, yeah. Okay. I know it's a win for me. A win for me. Because usually when I'm with someone in the past, they've like forgotten their wallet or all of them. Because some haven't, have they? You've had a few dates that have paid. Yeah, I've had it. Yo, oh, first of all. No, I've had great dates. Yeah. Even recent great dates.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Very recent great dates. Yeah. Okay. So after you pay, he opens the pulls your chair out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, I was kind of against the wall. Like he stood by me, but yeah.
SPEAKER_01Good.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. These are points.
SPEAKER_01He was trying. We're giving you guys tips to follow on. And these aren't my tips. Believe it or not, when I was younger, I have data, just so you know. And I've been treated very, very great. Yes, you have. Okay, so now we're in the swing. We're out of the swing. What do we do next?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so then we just come back to the house. Uh-huh. That was that was fun. And then the bet, you know, we come back to the house where we we go into the we go. We go into the living room. And Tabby's right there. She was just right there. And she's like, oh, hey, hey. She sits and she talks to us. You guys were like, oh, we're trying to get to know each other. I'm like, Tam, no, come on, come on. And she doesn't, she doesn't catch the So she just sat and talked to us for the rest of the night. And then he left.
SPEAKER_01You guys, she's being honest because I didn't think about it until about how it lasts Nile, 11:30 or so. I realized that I shuffled them in like they were my children.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I told him where to sit.
SPEAKER_00I sat so I could converse. And I really investigated. No, you did. You had him sit in the recliner. I was across the room on the couch. And she's like, You sit in the recliner. She sits right next to him on the couch. I well, I wasn't next to him.
SPEAKER_01I was over here. I know. But I wanted to get the view of the because we guys, if you're good at this.
SPEAKER_00The big sister has to get to know all the things. Because here's the problem, Jill.
SPEAKER_01You've been conned a lot and you didn't catch on. I can catch the con. Yes, you can. You can't bullshit a bullshitter. That's our slogan around here. I'm telling you, I'm in sales, I'm not buying what you're selling. So I felt it was up to me to really get into the dip. And then about 11:30.
SPEAKER_00I'm a dirty. I thought I gotta gracefully leave out of here.
SPEAKER_01And Jill was so happy. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You might be. Oh, she's gone. But then we were just exhausted from talking so long, but he just left. He left.
SPEAKER_01So anyway, but that wait. Oh so did he leave right after I went in the room? Then maybe he liked me more than you. He's like, oh, she's gone. I better leave now. Yeah. Okay, so he leaves. Now, let's critique the date. Okay. Number one. Okay. Do you think he will first off, has he reached out to you since the date? Yeah, for sure. Yeah. Okay. Did he play hard to get, maybe take a day to do it? No.
SPEAKER_00No. He's just like, oh my gosh, I already missed you.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah. He's a ladies' man. Okay. So then, then, so that was last night or this morning? Um, last night and this morning. Okay, good. So, Jill, you guys, talking to women, she did a good job. Let's go through her tips. She dressed really nice. Thank you. Her handbag matched her outfit.
SPEAKER_00Thank you, Tammy.
SPEAKER_01She stayed off to phone. Yeah, I did stay off my phone the whole time. Stayed off her phone. She wore a nice outfit fit that was sleek that showed yes, you did that. Yeah. You didn't boss him and try to open the door. No. No. And she empowered him. I'll bet you listened to his story. Did you ask him tell me a little bit?
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, for sure. And you know what was so nice is that he asked me about me. And I that's that's rare on my last dates. Like how would he ask you? No, just he got to know me and asked me a lot of questions. Like, what would you want more people to know about you? Like, just great questions about me instead of but I'm really good at like deflecting and like, no, tell me more about you. But he's like, no, stop. Like, what I want to know more about you. So that was refreshing. So that was good.
SPEAKER_01So, guys, there's a tip. So he asked about her, not just told his story. Yes, for sure. Like the one guy that came here that day that said they own half the town of this one. Oh, yes. I was dying like that.
SPEAKER_00Oh, he just gloated the whole time. The whole thing. It was terrible.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so he did that right. Now, is he serious? Will he take you out again?
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, I think so. I mean, he hasn't asked me out again, but I think he will.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's good. And girls, don't get nervous. This is like closing a deal. Don't get nervous and start texting him. No, do not do that. Okay. Not at all. And you didn't ask him, are you interested in marriage? Women, no, women do that. Did you on the first date?
SPEAKER_00Yes, some want to know. Yes, they do. Good. And even if he was interested in marriage, I need time. Time and space. Time and space. You gotta get to know someone all four seasons in a road trip. That's my rule.
SPEAKER_01That's a good slogan. And our girlfriend, if we can say Jilly Bettridge. Yeah. She said, you go a full year, you go through every holiday. Yes. Every season. Yes. Do not mention the M-word. And a road trip. And a road trip is very good. Okay, so if you guys were going on a road trip, where would you go?
SPEAKER_00Oh, um, I have no idea. We didn't talk about where we could go. That's a road trip. That's a good thought.
SPEAKER_01Thinking about girls what road trip you're going to go on. Yeah. And what other tips would you give women, really, that are important to date after 50 or yoker? What do you can tell them?
SPEAKER_00Oh, I don't think you can be too picky, honestly. Okay. I want to talk a little, well, can I talk about manifesting a little bit? So oh my gosh. It's been, I did I've done this manifestation for 33 days now. Today's 33. So I'm on the app Mind Valley. I don't know if I pay for it anyway, but they have great, great meditations on there. So a meditation came up from Bob Proctor, and I love Bob Proctor. His my first personal development book was written by Bob Proctor. It was called You Are Born Rich. If you haven't read it, it's the best. And that's where I first started learning about personal development. So I saw him on there with an abundance mindset. I'm like, our meditation. I'm like, oh, I love Bob Proctor. I'm going to start listening to this. Well, in there he says, listen, listen to this for 30 days. Um, at least one time a day, if not two. So I've listened to this abundance meditation for twice a day for 33 days now. And I cannot even tell you what's opened up for me, right? Yes. Yes, yes, yes.
SPEAKER_01Amazing things, you guys. Oh, large, but so many things.
SPEAKER_00So what I'm saying about this is that have in your mind, because what he says in there, whatever you can hold in your head, you can hold in your hand. I love it. And I love it too. So whatever you can put in your mind, and then you can hold in your hand. So the best time to visualize these kind of things in your head is um when your subconscious mind is the most readily available. That is right before you go to sleep at night, right in that place of you're kind of falling asleep, and right when you wake up in the morning. That is the best time to um to just really get clear on the abundance and what you want in your life. Get really clear on that. And gall, I could go into so many things right now, right? But what I want to say is to do the meditation, but have it in your mind what you really, really want to attract. Because my favorite quote is God adores me and is anxious to give me all that I will receive. All that we will receive. So it's about being open and ready. But God wants us to know, He wants to know if we really want, know what we really want. Right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and if I can jump in on that, Jill knows my story when we bought this home here in Bloomington. It's a beautiful home. And I, when I got the payment, that you know, I asked my husband at the time, how much is it going to cost me? And I thought I I didn't think I could keep this house. So as Jill talked about, God, I would walk through my um foyer. A large abundance of money is coming my way. Thank you, God. I am so blessed. I told DJ, I told Tara, but thank you, God, I am so blessed. And I've lived by that, and I haven't been afraid of that. And I think things, kind of life Jill and I are living right now, I think, is through really believing and manifesting, thinking, and coming out of the box. And thank you, DJ, for teaching me that. Always reminding me, mom, everything's great, everything's kind. And so, Jill, how do you feel? We've given tips to the girls about dating. Hopefully, there's some guys on here. Treat women really great. Yes. Because we are the feminine source and it empowers us. You didn't bring up, though, Jilly. I think a tip for men to women is send flowers. Oh, that's awesome. Like to me, amazing to answer the door. We always get the same girl.
SPEAKER_00I love flowers, you guys, and they're not expensive. It melts my heart. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So that's a tip for the guys. Um, for the women, a tip I want to give you is even if you're gifted a gift and it's not exactly what you wanted, please don't ever tell them that it's not what you wanted, that you really don't need it.
SPEAKER_00I love your tip from Tam. Yeah, that's what I think. I love that. I want everybody happy. Yeah, for sure. Oh, I have loved our Tub Talk tonight. I didn't want to do it at first because I was exhausted, and now I'm like, oh. That's what I think. She's in the robe. Yeah, I'm just the robe.
SPEAKER_01But how do you feel next? The next Tub Talk about let's talk manifesting. Oh, yeah. Let's do it. Let's go.
SPEAKER_00Yes, let's do it. Okay. All right, you guys. Thank you for being live with us tonight. We love you. And remember. Talk blonde to me. All right. See you next week. Manifesting. Have a great day. See you later.
