Too THURL
Jay & Tai host this lifestyle comedy podcast that dives into candid, unfiltered conversations through personal stories, work experiences, and relationship highs and lows. Each episode keeps it honest, relatable, and a little bit hilarious—because being “thurl” isn’t always perfect, but it’s always real.

Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The boys are back after a week off, and they come out firing with one of their most packed episodes yet. In case you haven’t heard, the GOAT of all GOATS has officially picked and signed with Philadelphia… kind of a big deal.
Jay also recaps his latest trip to Atlantic City, which leads to a gambling-filled conversation as Tai reflects on his short-lived—but surprisingly profitable—betting career. From there, the guys somehow end up debating dice games being played outside 7/11s, proving that no topic is too random for the Too Thurl crew.
And the chaos doesn’t stop there. Tai somehow manages to lose the kids during another unforgettable trip to Dorney Park, sparking another hilarious story that only gets crazier as the episode goes on. One conversation leads to another until the rails completely disappear.
Whether it’s sports, gambling, parenting, or pure nonsense, Episode 9 has a little bit of everything—and plenty of reasons to keep listening.
He likes that we have YouTube shorts. I show him the views. You don't know any of the shit we got. The YouTube shorts. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I thought we're gonna have t-shirts.
SPEAKER_03Short right now.
unknownBro.
SPEAKER_03I'm a big guy.
SPEAKER_04Everybody wants to bully me.
SPEAKER_03That's why he got kicked out of East Orange. Oh, you hooked yourself to a coaster. I ain't in the reason why I got kicked out of East Orange. Why? Why'd you get kicked out? I never went there anymore. I moved out here.
unknownAll right.
SPEAKER_03How many fights did you get up there in North Jersey? Too many. Yeah. Too many to count. I've only been in surprisingly one fight. Yeah, surprisingly. I was on four locos. It's all coked up on the four loco. She kid had three inches on me and probably 30 pounds. I went to the club with a black eye afterwards.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy. And I got a girl after it with the black eye. Yeah. Come on. You always got your biggest thing. Kid thought I was trying to get with his fiance. Because I was sitting there talking. But man? Whatever he was. I wasn't. But whatever he was, don't matter. I know. That's what I said. So did you kick his ass? Yeah, well, we got an argument over whether hot dog was hot dog is a sandwich or not. No. It's not a sandwich. It's not a sandwich. Yeah, and I will wholeheartedly fight to the death. The hot dog is not a sandwich, bro. At all. And he thought it was. Fuck no. Yeah. What the Jeff because it goes on the bread? I guess. I don't know. People people say it's a sandwich. It's wild, dude. I don't get that. Yeah. But anyway. How was your week though? It was a good week. Like what, two weeks now? Yeah, it's been a minute. I had uh Bryce for 10 10 days straight. How did I know? It went really well. He was really good. Yeah. A little vacation for him. It's nice. I bet he enjoyed that, didn't he? Yeah, we had a lot of fun. Played outside a lot, went to the pool. Yeah. Where'd y'all go to the pool at? My aunt. She's a fan. Oh, for real? Yeah. Talked to her earlier. She's like, are you guys recording? I was like, yeah. I send her the raw edits right after. I guess.
SPEAKER_04Tell him I'm coming for the pool. I can't swim, but tell him coming.
SPEAKER_03I did.
SPEAKER_04Just put my feet in. You can swim. Doesn't put my feet in.
SPEAKER_03My head comes up above the deep end.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03She said it's seven foot, but there's no way.
SPEAKER_04Oh, you stay on that end. Yeah. I stay right where the five yet. So, like, you know, touch my neck, and that's about it. Touching your neck.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_04The water comes right here.
SPEAKER_03If it goes a little above, I'm out of there. She used to have a basketball net. That would have been great. Or volleyball. Wow. Have black people ever been in that pool?
SPEAKER_04Her pool? Yeah. That's a good question to ask her.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04You should. So that way that can be a content when we get there.
SPEAKER_03That would be uh that'd be pretty great. Yeah, she's got a pool. Or not a pool, a slide. Sliding board, yeah. Oh, so is it in ground? Yes, it's in ground, not above ground.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Well, yeah, Tom, I'll stay in the five. I watch everybody else play. Me and Bryce would be on uh what three?
SPEAKER_03No, Bryce Bryce Bryce loves the defense.
SPEAKER_04Oh, he can swim.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I don't know how. He just, yeah, he learned.
SPEAKER_04K really showing out nowadays because uh winded don't he park. Again? Yeah. Any tornadoes? Nah, not this time, but my son used to be scared of roller coasters. Okay. And guess what? He's not scared no more.
SPEAKER_03He's terrified. No, you're not scared. Did you offer McDonald's to go out? Wow. No. What roller coaster do you go on? I don't know the name. I know the one called Possessed. Possessed? Yeah. Is it named after that girl from last time? Probably. But he got on that one.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he got on the wood roller coaster. The wood row? The wood. Wood. Yeah, the wooden on roller coaster.
SPEAKER_03Did you miss me correcting you? Yeah, a little bit. That's a little bit. The wooden roller coaster. I think that's a good start.
SPEAKER_04So you wanted to get on a big one, the hydro. I'm not sure you promote it.
SPEAKER_03Is that the one that like straps you? It's like yeah. Oh, yeah. The harness. That's what I was gonna ask. I'm not getting on no robust after that.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I could own a wooden one, but nothing else.
SPEAKER_03The woods aren't that bad.
SPEAKER_04It's not. It's just a little drop.
SPEAKER_03Because you can't go upside down. Yeah. Love wood for that. Good job, wood. Yeah. A little shaky, but okay. Oh, yeah, it shakes. But the harness is that you're thinking that's why I can't go on them. My head's like, yeah. And then my head's in a trash can afterwards. Cause you Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But yeah, he wanted to get on a hydron tone. I said, start off small. He said, What does that mean? I said, you know, get on a wooden roller coaster with the kids, you know, if you like it, because don't got the deep drops or anything like that. Deep drops. See how your stomach feels like that. He said, Okay. Like it was nothing. I'm like, I mean, you must not know it's a roller coaster. Was it a big wooden one? No. No, it was a wooden one. It wasn't big at all. All right. So he gets on, and as they about to take off, you see him in the you see him on a rock like this before it took off. Just having a party. By himself. The roller coaster took off. He has it going. I said, okay. I mean. Just pumping on that representing Jersey, baby. He likes it. He said, okay, cool. Can we go on to Hydro now? I said, okay. Is it Hydro or Hydra? Hydra, Hydra, I don't know. I don't care. I don't get on him. So either or worse for me. Okay. So he said, okay, can we go eat on that one now? I said, all right, give us a second. Let's try one more rock. So does he have to be accompanied by an adult?
SPEAKER_03No. No?
SPEAKER_02He's five feet tall. Was he that tall? He's five feet tall, bro.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, okay. So he's good when he's on the ride. Yeah, yeah. So we get on, so we go to this other one, it's called Possess. It's like it shoots you up, comes back down, back up, like backwards. So it's not a roller coaster. It's not, but it's going to be swinging, yeah. Yeah, but it is is literally like it's they call it a roller coaster, like the possessed roller coaster. That's what they call it. So when it goes up, it starts twisting and then come back down, twisting, and then backwards. I said, what the fuck? I said he got on that. They was like, yes, okay. Fuck that.
SPEAKER_03That's a corkscrew, I think they call that.
SPEAKER_04So I'm like, okay. It made me proud. Like another proud moment because I'm scared of roller coasters. You feel me? I won't get on one, but I get like I said, I get on the wooden. But he got on roller coasters, he enjoyed it. He we went on to the wave pool as well. Okay. And you know, he's in the deep end. With his socks and shoes off, bathing suit, no jeans. No jeans, no socks, no shoes. So he's in the deep end. I'm the I'm the only one by myself, and the five feet, the only one by myself. I say, This is crazy. Y'all really have guts to do all this. So yes, my son can swim and real quick. Oh, because you can't swim. How deep, how deep was he out? He was, I think, well, it wasn't too far out. And it was the wave pool? He was in the sixth, but when when you hear the alarm comes for the wave, he runs back to me. Oh, like you're gonna be able to do it. So he ran back to me and sat next to me just in case anything happens. I was like, all right, cool. But other than that, before he's out there.
SPEAKER_03Damn, good for him. That's awesome. Yeah. I bet you Bryce would no Bryce would make me go with him, and I would reluctantly go. I mean, it's fun. It's fun. That's cool.
SPEAKER_04I live, I mean, watching him do that was like very, very exciting. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's awesome. They're growing up so fast, dude.
SPEAKER_04Are they nine years old and he's five feet tall for a nine-year-old, bro? Oh, he's nine already. I thought he's still eight. Oh, eight, sorry.
SPEAKER_03Well, about to be nine. Why do I know? Come on. Bryce is still seven. He's about to be nine nine. Eight in a month and a half. I still don't call him eight. He's seven. It's crazy. He's gone from seven to thirteen over the summer. True. And he's yet to turn eight. All the kids are. You should hear him announce. Bro, if he is not a sportscaster, I've failed. Like he's doing the shit that I was doing, like 12, 13, 14 years old, he's doing right now. Like he'll sit there and play the video games. He shoots he's going, oh, bring it out. And he nonstop.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So we're gonna make that happen. Yeah, we got bring him on the podcast. Let him announce us. Yeah, he he likes that we have YouTube shorts. I show him the views. You don't know any of the shit we got. The YouTube shorts. Yeah. Not shorts.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I think we're gonna need t-shirts. Shorts. Right now.
unknownBro.
SPEAKER_03I'm deceased. Shorts, that's what it's called. YouTube shorts. Like a short film, not like shorts. Bro, I don't know. Not by YouTube, bro. I'm sorry. Oh man. I'm old. I'll be on my own. That would have been hysterical if you were making a joke. Like I would have made that joke, but you weren't making the joke. Yeah. No. Yeah. Don't know nothing about it. He's a he's a fan though. He got the experience. Oh my god. That's go to an Eagle's tailgate with this clown two, three years ago. Needs a bottle opener for Corona. I go to grab one. He's got a bottle in his teeth, rips it off. Just like that. I'm pretty sure that's a twist off, dude. Nah, I tried it already. Alright.
SPEAKER_04It might have been on it, but I did try it.
SPEAKER_03That's wild. What? Speaking of biting beer caps off and drinking beer. Oh what? LeBron James. Yeah, buddy. The GOAT. Ah, broke out my 2003 rookie LeBron Bobblehead. Yeah. I kept it. That line now is here. Crazy. Trust it. And then TJ. The lineup would be more crazy. You don't even know who that is. No. Yes, I do. What's his name? TJ. Timothy James. TJ. Okay. But that's.
SPEAKER_04We all know TJ, like we know LJ.
SPEAKER_03Is that what they don't? I'm not calling him LJ. MJ. Speaking of the MJ versus LJ debate, let's go, LeBron. Win the six goes. Oh, let's go. Everyone keeps saying there's only one ball, but I think they'll be fine.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no, we're going to be perfectly fine. Yeah. You know what they're trying to um give us Brownie James, though?
SPEAKER_03Nah, just smoke and mirrors.
SPEAKER_04We do not want him.
SPEAKER_03Well, the joke is that you were going to have to get Browny Jr. wherever his dad went. So that's what that's another guy.
SPEAKER_04Keep him, keep him in Lakers or somewhere else.
SPEAKER_03Why not? They win a title together in Philly. He's not going to play. He's going to be the 13th man off the bench.
SPEAKER_04You're going to be the bench warmer.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. It'd be great. Find me up there. Yeah. No, you got to be good at basketball and have a real special. I'm good at basketball. Is LeBron James your dad? That we don't know. Are we serious right now? LeBron, need a paternity test out of you. Why not? Do you think that you could be LeBron's son? We look alike. No, you're not. No, that's crazy. We both got the same hairline. So why not? Do you have a bad hairline? I feel like he's got a bad hairline. And he and I have a bad hairline too. Yeah. And you're what, eight years? No. Shit, five years younger than him. Wow. We're old too. So he might be. That's crazy, though. I can't believe he came the day after what? It was Friday. Friday news dump.
SPEAKER_04Was it Friday? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It just happened. If we had recorded last week, we would have missed it. But because life happens and we're busy as shit. Man, you should have seen the work. Should have seen the job. At the smile. Boy. What's it? What's it a busy time? When he got traded. Oh, the parties in the trailers.
SPEAKER_04Night and on the floor. Everybody just running, jumping. That was wild, dude. I say, yo, like what the hang? I looked at my watch. I said, holy shit. Dude. I was, yo, you should have seen. I wanted to cry. I got hair snaking up. I wanted to cry.
SPEAKER_03It's not, it's just like he's the probably the most He's one of my favorite players. Achieve. I don't want to say this. Most prolific, profound athletes ever to do it. Yeah. I mean, from age, what, 24 years ago, 16, 17, or whenever he was in high school on the cover of Sports Illustrated to now with social media in the way. Like MJ didn't have social media and all that shit.
SPEAKER_04And everybody always asks, who's the goat? And honestly, tell you true. Me personally, don't get me wrong, I love LeBron. I love MJ and I love Kobe. But LeBron passed both of them already twice. Yeah, but he's all longevity. I'm just saying. I think they're everybody keep saying they're the goat just because they got rings.
SPEAKER_03LeBron's the GOAT when it comes to the greatest overall basketball player. MJ's the goat when it comes to winning. And Kobe is the GOAT in clutch time and the whole mama mentality and all that.
SPEAKER_04They're all the goat in their own way. In their own way.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But I've always been a LeBron James fan, bro.
SPEAKER_03As long as he came to the NBA.
SPEAKER_04That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03It's been a roller coaster for me. Up and down. He may be bet, but yeah, with the whole Heat decision. That was enough. Enough of that. And then he went back to Cleveland. It was cool. I love Steph Curry. So I hated LeBron. And then when Durant went or went over to the Warriors, was he on when LeBron beat them? You don't know. He might have been. I think so. But I did not like the Warriors that year. And I wanted LeBron down 3-1. That was cool.
SPEAKER_04I never liked Steph Curry. Why? Too overrated for me, bro.
SPEAKER_03I'm tired of hearing his name. How's he overrated? He's the best three-point shooter in the history of the game. He changed the game of basketball and the way it's played. I hate hearing his name, yo. Curry? Is this an Indian thing?
SPEAKER_04Steph? Bro, every time. Oh, Steph Curry this. Steph Curry that. Oh, Steph. Yeah, because he he's a generational talent.
SPEAKER_03Like he Steph Curry, like how people go, Kobe.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Now now Steph Curry now, right? It's just Kobe was annoying.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04But I guess. And plus the reality he's overrated, bro. Come on. He's shooting the ball from behind the bleachers. He's shooting the ball from the uh sign, the logo. Yeah. Like, bro, okay. You could you can do that. We know that. All right. You don't have to keep showing out. So people can dunk, but they still dunk in warm-ups. Everybody, okay. Do you remember when everybody used the hate um TL for showing out? I mean, I guess. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So I can't hate Seth Curry for showing up? Yeah, I guess. I'm curious to see if he wants, like I'm the behind the scenes to it. Does he want the camera recording him? Does he say every time words? Sometimes it could just be a fan recording him. I don't know. No stuff. I think he asked for it. Ask for it?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah, come record me.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, probably.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I want to be on I want to be on the uh camera. You already on TV every day. You on TV every day.
SPEAKER_03His wife see your face. His wife's hot. Yeah. Aisha. Did Nason married? Huh?
SPEAKER_04Are they still married? I know, probably. Although they got a divorce for her, I think I don't know, somebody cheated, she cheated, son. I don't know. Shocking.
SPEAKER_03That was probably a rumor that was true. Probably, but. I don't think I think they're still together. But anyway, speaking of players, do you see what's going on with AJ Brown? Okay. Yes and no. I haven't been caught up on it, but I've been watching it. I'm hearing Drake May is missing him by a lot. No, Dre May is throwing straight dimes at him.
SPEAKER_04I heard the complete opposite. No, bro. If you watch all the videos, they are in his hand. He's dropping the air opposite. He's dropping everything, bro. Like it's going to him.
SPEAKER_03Oh, he's dropping the ball. Yes. Oh. Yes. Yes. I've seen that. I was seeing Drake Mays missing him, but that's hysterical. There's videos. Bro, he's in the air.
SPEAKER_04He's one-on-one, right? One-on-one. They say the best quarterback. I mean corner. One-on-one. He's I mean, yeah, AJ Brown's completely open on this one. Bounce up. You could have caught the ball, bro. Put it right in the breadbasket. Right there. Touchdown. Okay. Yeah, AJ. Give me my points. He dropped it. You dropped it. There go my points. My points down the drain.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you got them on fantasy that you drafted in May? Yeah, but I ain't playing no more. I told him I'm done. I ain't playing it. So you did a draft. Two months have gone by. We've hit training camp and you're no longer part of the league. No longer part of the league. Alright.
SPEAKER_04Where do I start? They took all my players. I just gave them all up. Y'all can take them out. How did this happen? Did you say, guys, I'm out? Yes. They wanted to, we won't play for money, but I say, I'm not playing. I'm done. They say, why? Bro, look at my team, bro. Y'all did this way too early. Look at my team. I'm done. I'm not, I'm not playing. Damn. Yeah. So they all start fighting. Who's one who? I say, man, y'all about to flip a coin. Who's gonna get who? I don't care.
SPEAKER_03There's a lot of teams. There's a lot of coins to be flipped. Sucks to be that commissioner. Yeah. Being a commissioner fantasy sucks. It's the worst.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, my brother was one. Well, he's doing it again this year. Yeah, it's just the worst.
SPEAKER_03Come on. Alright. Is it for free? $25, $100, $250? I think it probably no, not that much. Dynasty. $50 in a pot. Keeper. PPR. Flex? Flex? How many wides? Can I make the league? Can I just run it? No, show him running it. I know, I'm kidding. I mean, I miss being a few.
SPEAKER_04You can talk to him about it. Maybe y'all both can run it together.
SPEAKER_03Alright. I'll give him some insight.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Alright.
SPEAKER_03But that was crazy. Yeah. So there I saw something. It's Kate Scott and Allah Abdenabi or whatever, however you say it. I don't know. Sorry, I butchered it. Who? Kate Scott and Alla Abdenabi. No, no, who that is. They announced the games. It used to be Mark Zumoff and he retired. And they put something out earlier on social media saying they're looking for like a third person. I'm thinking Mark Zumoff comes back, and I wore this shirt in honor of him. Why do you think he's coming back? I don't know. I don't really. Just I wanted the camera to see it. Hold on, Tom.
SPEAKER_04Y'all did not see that. But Jay. But I do. You like six three, six. I had to get over LeBron and this, our business cars.
SPEAKER_03You did not have to stand on your toes, bro. No, because it says hang on a la, we're coming in for a landing. You did not have to stand on your toes. I had to get my chest out and everything. Yo, that was crazy. But anyway, I can't wear this shirt out because it kind of looks. Well, it says a la and a guy driving a plane. Okay. What's wrong with that? Some ala. Okay. Like, oh, I don't know. Like Iraqi or yeah. And he's driving the plane. Some people could think that. That's the first thing that someone told me. Sell it to me, I'll wear it. No, I wore it on the podcast. I saved it for a reason. Shoot.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_03You might worry about what you wear. Yeah, but when I put it on right away, and my dad was the first one to see me in it, and that's the first thing he said. So the first reaction I got, so pumped to wear this shirt, dude. Because you tore a ray, got scared. Oh my god. Yeah, I was like, I guess I can't win now. Now I'm overthinking this shirt. So if I'm overthinking it, it becomes a chore. Why? So it goes in the end of the closet. But this is such a great shirt. So you take it straight to the end, huh? Well, because I don't want to think when I'm picking out my outfit. It's a lot. I don't know. Maybe people let me know. I like the shirt. Yeah, so do I. But no, that was I was so excited, and that's the first reaction I got. Devastating. Man, not me. I'm cool. I'm wearing whatever I want to wear.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so do I. But if I had not got that reaction.
SPEAKER_03Are you overthinking a shirt? Right. But listen to me. If the first reaction I got was like, oh wow, Mark Zoomov, that's awesome. And then the next reaction I got was that I'd be fine. It was the first reaction. No. And this was years ago. I'll rock this out. Let's go out this weekend. I'll rock it. Let's go out. All right. Don't wear that down. No strip clubs, please.
SPEAKER_04No sugar clubs. All right. None. First of all, speaking of club, because you know sure club gotta do with money. What the happened?
SPEAKER_03I was waiting for you to bring it up. I didn't want to jump into it. Nah, this is a story. All right. So because I wasn't invited, but you weren't invited several times. So my buddy, well, I made friends with him a couple years ago through one of my closest friends I grew up with, one of my best friends. And we've played Xbox and gotten close. He's a really nice kid. Okay. Couple years younger than me, but he loves to gamble. He worked at a casino. He likes to drink. He works at a liquor store. Yeah. So he has a good time. Okay. Great kid. He's so nice. Has an awesome heart. He always goes to AC and always has these crazy stories. Brings a lot of money. Has a poker tournament the next day. Poker tournaments a hundred couple hundred. He brings a couple grand. Last time he went, and he lost all of it before he got to the poker tournament. So he booked a room for four nights and then came home after one. So I was like, bro, I gotta see this. Wait. He lost all his money. Yeah. This was the before this past weekend. Okay. Yeah. So and I've heard stories of similar incidents in past trips. Yeah. So he him and AC don't get along, I guess. And he's still going, still playing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So the poker tournament was what was it called? The Mighty Open or something. I don't know. I've recorded it's in my one of my 70 clips. So we're going down Friday. Now I didn't think I was going to go. I thought I was going to have Bryce. Ended up having him for 10 days and got the weekend. So I went. Okay. I joked about it saying like he's going to lose all his money, not enter the tournament. And that's why I'm going to record that. So I drew up a contract and everything, but I I didn't really think that that was going to happen. Jinx there. No, I didn't have to jinx. I need no one needs to jinx this kid. I watched it all unfold. And it was starting out hilarious and it was great. By the time I was done, I felt like a piece of shit. But I'm like, like, this is a problem. He knows he has a problem. Like, that's a problem.
SPEAKER_04And me if he goes every time and then if he lost that money and he went again, right? And keep on losing and keep going again. Right. That's a problem. Yeah. He needs to go into an AA class. Wait. Right. That's what they got that? Or is that for drinking?
SPEAKER_03That's for drinking. But I mean, the the drinking and blacking out coincides with the losing at the money. Yeah. We're at the blackjack table, and he was put in 100 to start, and then it went to like he was gonna lose the 100, so he put 200 more in. And then he was like down to 150, so he put 200 more in. So he's like, got 500 invested at this point. And then these kids just turned 21. Vibes were immaculate. Three of them sit down, they didn't really know how to play, but they did. They started hitting blackjack left and right. So it's these three kids, and then an older woman next to him in the dealer. This dealer, 21, 21, 21, deals him a 19, 21, and then the dealer hits a 20. Yeah. Holy shit. Yeah. How many was he? Uh he just oh that I think that's when he got up and walked away. I don't know. But it was terrible. Had to go smoke. Yeah, he smoked a cigarette. We were going outside, and that's when I lost him. He was down 1100, brought 2200. Yeah, so he said he was gonna go play poker. So I'm outside, having a good old time, bae, nice, you know. And then I go back in, he's he lost it all. And at first I'm like cracking up, and then I'm like, oh he had money for food at the end of the night. Yeah. He just lost everything. Yeah, but he ended up at least trying to talk him out of it at the losing. Yeah, I I did try and take, I like I tried to help, but half his money was when I was gone. I'm not going in the poker room. Poker room's off limits. Oh, you so you can't go in there? No, yeah, exactly. And when we were walking to the poker room, he V-lined it for some virtual reality poker thing. I'm like, bro, I'm going outside to smoke. Like, you're coming or you're not. And yeah, that was over. But yeah.
SPEAKER_04I remember you say he said you say he left 500 on the table and gonna find it.
SPEAKER_01So that how did that happen?
SPEAKER_03So I don't we're at a ultimate hold'em table, and he's got 500 and chips there, and there's two people to his left and three or four people to his right. It's a full table. And he just we go outside to smoke a cigarette, he leaves all his chips there, one, which to me is crazy. I call him, I'm not a gambler, I don't go to casinos. Me neither. Like that's crazy to me. But one time he forgets where the poker table is. Yeah, so we're walking around look trying to look for people. Yeah, it was wild. Look yeah. He signed a contract though, so but hopefully contract for what? For all the content I was recording. I was recording him non-stop. Yeah. What? I'm trying to get I'm trying to be like Ohio Tate. No, I'm shaking my head at the fact that all this money situation he had. Yeah, but wait, here's the so then the next night, his buddy loans him the money to get in the poker tournament. He lasts a couple hours. He did all right. Then our other friends show up late later Saturday and they spot him like some money. He gets back after it goes up and down, up and down, up and down. He ended up walking with I think $650 after paying the loans back. So once he pays the poker $500 back, he'll have left with $185 and he brought $2,200. So he's yeah, he's leaving with money, but no, he basically left with nothing. Right. Like that wasn't fun to me. It just ruined my whole vibe. Yeah, I'm willing to admit.
SPEAKER_04I went on the car and left him.
SPEAKER_03Well, I had every intention of leaving Saturday, but then when he entered the tournament, I stayed in the room, and then that nice view and everything. Like I enjoyed myself, and then my other friends came, and yeah, it was just wild to witness firsthand. Yeah, gambling addiction. It's a real thing. That is crazy. That's gonna be my thorough thoughts. Started writing about it already.
SPEAKER_04Because my first time, I had a first-time gambling win. First and only time. Yeah, and I went back. Where at? Lena City. So we were supposed to go on a trip, honestly. Family was like, hey, you know, everybody, their trip is $1,000, $1,500, whatever. I said, alright, cool, bet. And they say, oh, let's go gambling. I say, okay, let's go. I have nothing to do. Nothing, bro. I can't. I went there with about $50 for my hand. How old are you? This happened about maybe three years ago. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you don't know anything about sports batting batting, so I can't imagine the gambling.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so I went there with $50. I said, this is all I'm playing. And I get on the table, the uh roulette table. Before we even enter all that, let me run we rhyme back. Before we enter all that, an old guy.
SPEAKER_03Anter or enter, I'm sorry. Before we get into that. Okay, into that.
SPEAKER_04The old guy walks out with a bag full of money. Come and his wife. He looks at me out of everybody, it's like 10 of us. So out of everybody with us, he looks at me. Don't you take point, don't you take everybody's money? What are you talking about? Don't take everybody's money. I said, okay. I don't know what that means, but alright. Okay. My sister went and fixed his hat. His wife came to me and hugged me and said, That bag he has is filled with money. So go there. Don't take everybody's money. Still over my head. I'm so confused myself. Yes. So I get to the table. Get to the relaxed table. I start playing little shit. Okay, boom. Paid. So remember, I went to a 50. I played 20 on uh red. Mistake. No, I won. I hit. So I started playing little now. Then I won that. I'm playing little. Boom. Black. Little what? Like little, like little pocket change or whatever. Like $5, $10, like that. So and while I'm hit, I'm hitting everything, Jay. And because at the end of the day, I see the old man sitting, dancing on the numbers and colors that I want. And like I'm just picturing him just sitting there, just like real tall at me.
SPEAKER_03So you really went on a trip. You're hallucinating seeing this man put the chips down. Yeah, so I'm putting my money, I'm putting my chips there. On the numbers or just the colors?
SPEAKER_04Numbers and colors. All of it. I'm just every time that she's winning the ball, we could put my number.
SPEAKER_03Do you remember she answered or asked you if you wanted to play inside or outside?
SPEAKER_04She if I want to play inside.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so you okay.
SPEAKER_04So I was playing it. After that, I'm hitting, I'm hitting, I'm hitting. This dude sit next to me.
SPEAKER_03This doesn't sound accurate.
SPEAKER_04You're just hitting number after number. And I'm dead serious. This dude sit next to me, right? He put his chips, he put, so I put money up there. He's losing bad. Mind you, just me and my family. We playing. This dude hit, like missing everything. Money getting taken from him. I said, damn. What's okay? So I now put my stuff there. I'm winning. I came up with $500. I want to go walk away. She said, Do you want to double that? Yeah, so she's like, You want to double that? Why not? I'll double it. Red. That's what I wanted on red. That's my favorite color. You put all 500 in. Listen, I put it on red. The dude that was losing took his chips and decided to put it next to mine. I said, when do I have the time to take it off? She likes before the ball stopped. I said, okay, cool. So she spins. I say, uh, yeah. Took my money back. Why the hell did he hit double, bro? So it hit red. It hit red.
SPEAKER_03Damn.
SPEAKER_04It hit red.
SPEAKER_03You would have been up a grand. Oh, yeah, but I'm fine. I walked with $500 off out of $50 that I went there with. That's the story. You won $450. But I won. It was my brain. It's a good one and only story.
SPEAKER_04Yes, because mind you, I'm not a gambler, bro. I don't know none of that. I don't know nothing.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's what I'll the only thing I'll do is roulette. Yeah. Because it's kind of easy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So I don't know nothing. So when I was winning, I'm like, oh shit, I'm winning, I'm winning. Like, I'm getting hype. Smiling, laughing. My sister don't stop playing. I'm still playing ahead. They're like, yo, stop. But I'm still winning. When I should have doubled it. I would have came up with all the thoughts, but I said, hell no. Because mind you, he was like a bad luck dude. He kept losing everything. Kept losing. I said, yeah, he's not putting his shit. Bad vibes. He's not putting his shit with my shit. Hell no.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you can't mix shits together.
SPEAKER_04Can't. Yeah, shit may stink. Mine's don't.
SPEAKER_03Isn't that just a saying your shit don't stink? Like your shit has to stink.
SPEAKER_04But he won. He he won his money. And he won a lot too. He put everything that he had. Damn.
SPEAKER_03I was expecting a lot more losing. And no, the story checks out, putting five on numbers.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I was winning, bro. $500, yes. Good for you.
SPEAKER_03$450. My brother did that on his birthday a couple years ago. Him and Goofy was there, dude. I you had to see this to believe it. I'm so mad I didn't do it. They all combined put like, I forget what it was. It was like $250, maybe. I don't know. Like my brother put $100 and a couple people put $50 on, I forget the number, but they were talking about it all day. They couldn't wait. And they got to the end of the night and they do it and it fucking hit. Yeah, it was like over 10 grand. He had to have people walk them out, and yeah, it was it was wild.
SPEAKER_04So he felt like a celebrity. I would have been like, yo, take that picture.
SPEAKER_03The amount of attention on them at this point was insane. I was I was fearing for him. I made sure I would have walked out. Like I've I had bodyguard. Dude, it was wild. Goofy was. I forget if Goofy was part of it. His ass was louder than anyone. Yeah, yeah. I remember it was another time too.
SPEAKER_04Like we played Dice. Oh never played Dice. On the street corner? Nah, we was in the building. Uh yeah, we started playing outside, but then the cop was like, hey, you know, y'all gotta take that. You know. What? Yeah. So we went inside the building. It was for my dad's birthday. Dice? Oh, I guess if it's for money. No, yeah, we played. No, they was playing for money. I never, I was not playing at first. So I was like, oh, I want to give it a shot. They was like, you got money? I'm like, hell no. My cousin, like, well, fuck it, don't worry about it. And they try everybody still throwing money down. I'm like, bro, I don't get it. What kind of bills are they throwing? 20s. They say, bro, don't worry about it. I said, I don't have money. Nobody shooting me over no dice. He said, what? He's like, no. So I roll, bang. I hit.
SPEAKER_03What does that mean for a lot of people out there? Okay. I hit it at seven. Is seven the money? Yeah. He was like, oh shit.
SPEAKER_04He's like, go ahead. Boom. I hit it again. 11. I said, Oh, like seven and eleven.
SPEAKER_03Seven, eleven.
SPEAKER_04So I'm like, oh shit. So I just kept going and going. So when I he was like, the money's yours. I said, the money's not mine. I didn't put nothing down. He said, bro, the money is yours. I picked the money up. He said, now play something. I say, no, I'm good. I'm born.
SPEAKER_03How much did you walk away with? It was only $40. That's hysterical. That's something I would do. He didn't try to stop you. Oh my God.
SPEAKER_04The money was mine. I won. He was like, go ahead, put something down. I said, no, I'm good. I walked away.
SPEAKER_03It's like me at the strip club. Nah, I'm good.
SPEAKER_04He was like, you can't do that. He said, once you play, you say I put money down. I looked at my dad. My dad said he's not playing no more.
SPEAKER_03That's hysterical. You had a good dice and roulette career, huh?
SPEAKER_04One time. That's the big what's they call it? The beginner luck?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Beginner's luck, that's a thing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that was me. Nice.
SPEAKER_03That was me. So 7 and 11 are the two numbers you gotta hit in dice. So do they play outside of 7-Elevens? I feel like that would be the spot.
SPEAKER_04Sometimes they do. It all depends on what you're playing.
SPEAKER_03A couple slurpees. I don't know gulps.
SPEAKER_04I don't know all the rules. I don't know all the rules. I don't know all the terms and stuff.
SPEAKER_03We should make up our own rules, kind of based off what you know, and go to the 7-Eleven.
SPEAKER_04I don't know nothing. I just know 7-11.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so we'll go to the 7-Eleven by Timber Creek and we'll just start playing and we'll see if anyone wants. And then we'll teach them our rules. Come on, that's good stuff.
SPEAKER_04But yeah, the beginners luggage was fun. It was definitely fun, dude. Alright. Well, good thing you're not gambling at it. Nope. And I'm not gambling no more. Yeah. If I gamble, it'd be like the penny machine. Penguin machine? The penny machine. Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna throw this down. I gotta stop doing it on the little ones and wasting them and just save them for the penguin machine.
SPEAKER_04The penny machine. I know, I got that. That's the only time I'm I waste money because it got free drinks. It'd be worn down, but it'd catch up to you. I can drink a lot.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And no, I'm not a drinker. I'm not a drunk, but yeah. Yeah, no. Thankfully, my stomach will never allow that. What? To be an alcoholic. Oh my god. Yeah. Give me three shots, I'm done. I only throw up once on Saturday. Yeah. It's bad.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I don't do that.
SPEAKER_03I got too many stories. That could be a whole episode. You started hearing some of them. Well, maybe hear some more next week. Yeah. We gotta that'll be good because we gotta record again soon. Can't be missing these weeks. I know, I know. Sorry guys, we've been. It's both our faults. Yeah. I just I if I had Bryce, I can't get into podcast mode. Nah, I feel you. That's how I am. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Like as long as I leave here, I gotta go pick out my son.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. It was nice though. Ten straight days, dude. So much fun. You should have hit me up. We all could have gone up. We did. We we conversed a little bit during it. Yeah, I mean, we did, but you were at Dorney Park, remember? You should have came. You know.
SPEAKER_04Bryce would have had a ball running around the seat.
SPEAKER_03See, I'm curious to see how he reacts because we took him to the boardwalk a couple years ago and he was not about it. But he was a lot worse with his sensory issues. Oh, and the kids got lost too. You lost the kids? Please. Did they call over the loudspeaker? No. Okay, so it wasn't that. I'm fat.
SPEAKER_04I'm not that, I'm not, I'm not fast like I used to be. Okay. So we walking, and I don't know if you're familiar with Dunny Park, but they got a hill going down on at the hydra on Hydra. So they started walking down, and they want to get on up the red one called Terry or something. And they started running. So I said, you know what? I'm not running after these kids. I know where they're going. How many? Six. Six. I mean, it was it was a couple big kids there too with them, so they was good. So I was like, I'm not, I already know where they're going. I'm not running after them. I get it to Terra John, they not even know where they're. God.
SPEAKER_03Different type of Terrajon.
SPEAKER_04That's not good. I said, holy shit. I said, where these damn kids at? Did you start panicking? No.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna start freaking the fuck out.
SPEAKER_04So I started calling their phone. Guess where their phone was at?
SPEAKER_03Well with the parents or in the bag or something. Yeah. The parents.
SPEAKER_04Everybody, everybody's phones was with me in my boot bag. So I said, I know for a fact I'm gonna see one of these kids walk by. So I'm still walking, walking, walking, walking. I see my son. You must have not taken probability and statistics in high school, but keep going. Nah. So I see my son. I said, oh, did they go over there? Think they better get on a ride that's on the other side. I get over there, they not there. I said, yo, I literally just saw my son. It was a mirage, dude. Hallucinating again. No, this I know. So gonna find out, I I hear screaming. I said, okay, okay, I know where they at. Gonna find out. They over there by the I forget the name called. It's a car. Wait, you heard screaming? Yeah, I know my son's scream. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So they inside the car where it's it drives a little bit and then whoops you. Yeah. So it's like it goes, and then when you get to the edge, you go, Oh, yeah, that whip. Yeah, yeah. So they was over there, all of them.
SPEAKER_03That's the mousetrap, some of them call it.
SPEAKER_04It's like goes up, but not high, and then just like. Yeah, but not that. So I was like, yo, y'all can't run off with me like that. They said, oh my bad. We wanted to get on a rise. There was two longs too long, so we left. I said, okay, cool. I said, one of y'all take the phone. Get on the phone, kinda found out the phone was dead. Lost them again. I was like, you know what? It wasn't twice. I said, I'm not, I'm not doing anything.
SPEAKER_03Don't call Difus people. He found them.
SPEAKER_04Like I said, it was with older kids though. Yeah, how old? So my son's nah. Eight. Dear Lord. Eight. Yeah, Lord Jesus. My son's eight. Everybody that he was with was about 15. Oh, okay. Yeah. So older, there was older people. So I was like, all right, cool, I'm good. I'm like, you know, they all, everybody had each other back. So and they all, and this crazy part about it, they all stay together. That's good. It's numbers. They stay together. Nobody's separated. And like it was one time too. I was just sitting in the chair watching them. And then he got off the rod. And as I'm sitting there, I'm trying to see if they're going to recognize me. They walk completely away from me. So I'm just sitting there watching them the whole time. And as I'm watching them, my son goes over to the other side of the rod and was like, I want to get on it. The teacup. Oh. So as he's better get on it, I look, I say, I want to see what they're going to do. The 15-year-old ran over and gripped him up and said, Let's go. I said, hey. Go over dab him. Like he knows what's good. Not grip, but like, yo, let's go. Like, you hitting the grips. I was like, hey. And then after that, I walked up behind him. I said, Congratulations, y'all did good. He was like, What are you talking about? Like, you were talking to him the whole time. Yeah, I was like, I watched y'all the whole entire time. Y'all didn't see me. They're like, no, what you were saying that. Yeah, I was sitting in an open spot. Nobody was sitting with me. I was by myself. No, it was like four or five chairs lined, like little benches lined up. Bro, kids are oblivious. And I was by myself just looking at them.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So self-awareness is laxing them a lot of times.
SPEAKER_04But and it's crazy, the great part about it, you know, with the 15-year-old, he kept all the little ones in the front of him anyway. So yeah, he got to.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. No, yeah, you can't lead from behind. No. Well, you can't lead from the front. There you go. You gotta lead from behind.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So I was like, hey. But they did good. All right. All stand together.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So yeah, don't call Difers.
SPEAKER_03My reaction would have been Bryce like serious do that again. Feels good being back. Yeah, the LeBron, dude. He had like oh, you see all that black. Oh, he been to war. The bottom of my my uh dude. He sits next to a Randy Moss autographed mini helmet. Yeah. With a certificate of authenticity. Hey. Yeah, maybe that'll be worth something.
SPEAKER_04Well, since we got a little bit more time, so I seen it, I came across these questions. I want to ask you. What questions? So you got one time. Okay. You can either shoot over LeBron or get hit by prime Dawkins. Oh, and you get you get 500K without being taxed cash.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so that makes that better.
SPEAKER_04Just for Dawkins. Just from Dawkins, you get one hit.
SPEAKER_03From Dawkins, or you get to try to shoot one time shoot over LeBron. Yeah, well, it was a no-brainer until you brought the cash into play. I think I would take the hit. Me too.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03I know I shoot on him. I get pads and everything, all right? No. No. Nobody get pads. Hey, Doc don't get pads. Fuck. I'm shooting over LeBron. Take my chances with two thorough. Maybe we'll make it. Nobody get pads. Yeah, no, I'm not doing that. Alright. Last question.
SPEAKER_04First 500K. I just got that from Dawkins. Okay, but okay. Got another 500K. No tax, cash. Alright? Alright. You get to pick any animal in the world that chases you with emu. They chase you for 24 hours, and you have to survive. Emu. What the hell is that?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. It's like an ostrich and a kangaroo, maybe. I don't know. And that's what you're getting chased by? Yeah, why not? For 24 hours? It might be fair. So should I say turtle?
SPEAKER_04Whatever you want, though. It's your choice. Alright. I'll say. Hmm. But you have to survive at the end. 24 hours.
SPEAKER_03It seems so easy. I feel like turtle. A turtle? Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03Or a snail. A sloth. That's what I picked. Yeah. Alright, so same concept. You gotta get better questions. No, the sloth is way better than all of them. Yeah, but you gotta get better questions. That's easy money. A lot of people didn't pick that. A lot of people are dumb. Yeah, they probably said emu. No.
SPEAKER_04I heard a lot of people. I don't know why, bro. I mean, yeah, it's still in the movie. Somebody said shark. Somebody said killer well. Free William? I say, damn, what are you on the land? Dude, was this swimming? He said, I'm gonna just sit by the wood and watch the whole time.
SPEAKER_03Oh, he doesn't think he's gonna be in the waters. That's kind of he's playing chess, not checkers.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03Somebody said they go they rather get chased by a gator. You gotta preference that when you say if you're if you choose a bird, you you're flying. If you choose a shark, you're swimming. But somebody did say they'd rather choose a gator. That's wild. Yeah. Gators can go and land.
SPEAKER_04And anywhere. Yeah. Gators. Tripping. But yeah, I'm choosing a slow. I'm sleeping for 24 hours. You're sleeping. Yeah, I'm running, sleeping. Running. Sleeping. I'll be good.
SPEAKER_03All right. Sloth is slower than a tortoise and a snail. Okay.
SPEAKER_04A sloth is really not a killer animal. It's got those claws, dude. Neither is a fucking snail. A snail, yes, it is. How? I don't know, but it is. Somehow, some way it is. A sloth, you never heard anybody down over a sloth, bro.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's because they A turtle, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but if you're sleeping and the sloth starts to hit you. By the time you wake up, you're gonna still see it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, dude.
SPEAKER_03He goes like that. That thing, yeah. That's moving. That's a good two inches an hour. Can't do miles per hour. Yeah. I wonder how much times this thing flickers while it's recording. I should use my phone. At least. At least they see the business cards. You see that? I put that Gorilla Marketing, I think they call it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Oh, are we gonna take gang this year or not?
SPEAKER_03An Eagles game? A Sixers game? Oh, hell yeah. We're gonna get the cheap tickets where you can stand up top and they have the ball. Yeah. You know don't tick on the high as hell. Yeah. Then we hi. But we'll go. Yeah. Yeah, we got the business cards to hand out. I gotta give you some. They scan and they can follow us. And then we got the the shirts.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, people asking on at work too.
SPEAKER_03So started them out at work. Yeah. If they want an autograph on it, let me know. I'll sign it.
SPEAKER_04Somebody came to me at work and was like, I stumbled across your podcast. I said, How you know it's me? They said, come on. I said, Oh, Jesus, you saw one black guy come across your screen with a white guy. You decide to follow and listen? Because you thought it was me? He said, Wait, it's not you.
SPEAKER_03It was him. Do I know? Do I know this person? Oh, yeah. Did they know that I they didn't know about it? No, they didn't know about it. That's bad gorilla marketing audio. How? I told everybody on the floor. It's not my fault, he don't be there. Did you make an announcement over that PA system they got? Shut up. Yeah. Matter of fact, I'm gonna put on the on the board. Yeah. TV. Yeah. Yeah. Is that they still got that whiteboard? Yeah. Bread a message from me up there. Put the put the card. No, I no.
SPEAKER_04I don't know, Jay. Yeah. You hurt a lot of people. Huh? You hurt a lot of people. Why? I don't know, but you did. They don't like me? A lot of them don't.
SPEAKER_03Really? Why? I never asked. Oh. Well, we gotta find out. Get to the bottom of it. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Who cares? They like you, they like you.
SPEAKER_03Are you still sleeping at night? It depends. Most of the time, yeah. Is it because of them? Yeah. Nah, put the cards up. Let them know.
SPEAKER_04Nah, most definitely will. Most definitely will. Alright. I'm gonna put them around the bathroom.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04You know how they do the installs.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I know about those.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna put them right inside the install video.
SPEAKER_03That's fucking good. I can't do the girls' bathroom, but I'm gonna know people.
unknownShh.
SPEAKER_03Alright. Don't let everybody know I know everybody. So we we got the business cards and we got the merch coming. We've already sold pre-sale. Oh, you ruined it. I already sold like half of them.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I heard Atlanta City. Uh-huh. In Atlanta City.
SPEAKER_03What? In AC. Well, I'm talking about the shirts, not the cards. Oh. I gave out a couple of the cards. Yeah, I was in the hotel room partying up by myself. No, they invited me. They can't. They stopped me. They're like, you're a Yankees aren't Mets fan. I was like, do you see my hat? And I said it kind of like smart ashly, smart assly. But they were like, they started laughing. And then they were the ones bumping like Shakira at like.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah, they're thorough. Yeah, they were thorough.
SPEAKER_03They were they were too thorough. Was it old Shakira or new? I can't tell you that. That was before I got in the room. When I got in the room, I told them to put on DMX. Did you party up? No, they laughed at me.
SPEAKER_04They're not your friends.
SPEAKER_03No, but they were thorough.
SPEAKER_04No, they're not your friends.
SPEAKER_03I didn't think I only have a couple friends. But why would they laugh at you for DMX? I don't know. People laugh at me. I like I like I don't know. I made them laugh. Regardless if it's at me or because uh some clown walked into their room and asked for DMX.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Well, you're a clown. I am a clown. Alright, cool. This is a long episode. But two-parter, I guess, since we didn't record last week. And then we'll record this week and we'll we'll get back on track. I got someone to help us with social media. So maybe I'll alert. Yeah, because I don't know what the fuck I'm doing, dude.
SPEAKER_04Maybe that person can allow us to shout her out.
SPEAKER_03Maybe. Yeah. Not now. Yeah. After she sees us. But all right. Well, for LeBron James, myself, and this guy over here, just remember clear eyes, full heart. Stay thorough. Yeah.
