Mind Twin Movie Night
A podcast where two best friends, Mariko and JD, are often so in sync that they began referring to one another as "Mind Twins". They quickly realized that they are huge fans of movies (specifically Horror movies).
For years now, every Thursday night, the "Mind Twins" watch movies. Alternating on who picks the movie on a weekly basis, this duo decided to start a movie podcast. When they watch a movie. They talk. A lot. The Mind Twins decided to quarantine their commentary away from their loved ones in their lives and channel them in a podcast.
We watch a movie, record our reactions during the movie, cut that into our discussion and then talk about our thoughts on the movies. Come join us as we talk about movies we love, movies we didn't quite love, and everything in between.

This Movie Night JD and Mariko open their series with Wish Upon (2017) from John R. Leonetti! Jonathan Shannon (Ryan Phillippe) was just your everyday ordinary trash collecting single saxophone dad, when he gives his daughter Clare (Joey King) a mysterious music box that will grant the owner seven wishes. Yet not all is as it seems, as these wishes cause some problems for the Wishmaster... nope that's another movie. Anyway. WISH UPON!

It can't be an anime. I don't know any anime movies, so I think we're good there.
SPEAKER_04I know a few.
SPEAKER_03Oh no. I I don't even like this.
unknownOh thank god.
SPEAKER_04I will edit out us shitting on it would be smart. Um or I will put it in the beginning of the episode. That'll bring the people in. People love that. Because one, it's not about what we're talking about, so it sets it up poorly. And then it's also something people love. They're like, what?
SPEAKER_11The fuck this show. This is horse shit.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's how we get one stars. That's how we get the stars. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Um I like the mind twin one.
SPEAKER_04Mind twin movie night?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think it's it establishes and these people know what they're getting into.
SPEAKER_04A movie night with mind twins? I don't is mind twin a thing? I don't know. I thought it was just something we came up with.
SPEAKER_03Mind twins. Yeah, but I feel like with the con I don't know.
SPEAKER_11Look at mind twins. Twin.
SPEAKER_03A mind twin refers to a concept of a highly personalized AI assistant. Like the app Twin Mind that acts as your second brain. Oh, I don't like that.
SPEAKER_04Okay. That's us.
SPEAKER_03That sounds horrible.
SPEAKER_04That's us to a T.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's just talking about this AI app called Twin Mind.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that's on the same. Boo.
SPEAKER_03Mind Twin, human first AI assistant. Uh no, Mind Twin is not a thing. Okay. I think we have our own thing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I don't even know how we came up with that. I feel like you did.
SPEAKER_03Maybe. I don't remember. It was that was six years ago. Oh my gosh. Going on seven. It's closer to seven than six at this point.
SPEAKER_04It all started because you were like, hey, do you want to talk about movies?
SPEAKER_03I like horror movies. Do you like horror movies?
SPEAKER_04You just I mean shook me. I was all confused, and the break room was like, oh okay. I still remember that by the time we got back to our desks, I was talking about Lord of the Rings. I don't know how I got there, but I did lead it back there.
SPEAKER_03I just feel like that's just your natural state.
SPEAKER_04I don't think I've ever tracked it before in any other personal interaction I've had when I first met someone. Like I don't remember that with any any of my other best friends, but like not that I have other bizarre. Uh no, but you know what I mean. And uh I but yeah, I I distinctly remember Lord of the Rings. I guess the closest would be I mean, there's one time at a party, it's more of I remember cornering someone and talking about Lord of the Rings at them. But that's about it.
SPEAKER_03You you cornered them?
SPEAKER_04The way okay, so the way um kitchen works, where he's like a kitchenette thing. Like an island kind of vibe. Not we're like yeah, a half wall. So it you can there's some stools there and you you can look out to the rest of like his living room. And but that means there's really only one entrance to the kitchen, and it's like a mini aisle thing, and you've got like the uh fridge and everything, and the counters, and then the island thing that like the half wall. And when someone goes in there, for example, to grab a drink or a mix or whatever.
SPEAKER_03They are naturally in a corner.
SPEAKER_04They're now in a corner in which by we're in the same area, I could you know hold my position and socially restrain them.
SPEAKER_03In my head, someone is opening this fridge door, closing it, and then all of a sudden you're there. The Lord of the Rings.
SPEAKER_01Potatoes!
SPEAKER_03Spoil mashum. I mean, oh God, leave me alone for the love of God.
SPEAKER_04Maybe that is how it happened to them. They just closed the door and then just standing there with a bow tie.
SPEAKER_02Like, you want to talk about Lord of the Rings? And they're like, ah it's too many of you guys.
SPEAKER_04Uh not enough.
SPEAKER_02Not enough.
SPEAKER_04Speaking of not enough, so the movie today is Wish Upon. You've heard me talk about it a lot. I've got some favorite quotes I've said at you that you have no context for. This I didn't talk about until now because it was really important to me. And now we're finally here. Uh the director of it, his name is John Leonetti. Do you know what else he's directed?
SPEAKER_11No.
SPEAKER_04Does the name sound familiar to you at all?
SPEAKER_03Yes. But I can't I can't place it.
SPEAKER_04It's one of your favorite movies, actually.
SPEAKER_03Oh no.
SPEAKER_04He's also the director on a little movie you might have heard of called Mortal Kombat Annihilation. Not kidding.
SPEAKER_03Oh, everything's making sensed out.
SPEAKER_04So every time for years, when you've been talking about Morocco, like even today when you were talking about it.
SPEAKER_03I was just talking about a bad movie that I love. You're welcome in Annihilation. I hate it. It's a bad movie. It's awful. I love it.
SPEAKER_04And it's been years. I've been holding it in. I've been thinking about this for so long. And I can't bring it up because I'm like, one day I will show you this and it will be worth it. And it's been movie nights and movie nights, and finally just like the friend trapped in the kitchenette. I caught you quartered.
SPEAKER_03I have now said friend.
SPEAKER_04You close the fridge, and I'm like, you wanna watch Wishapon? No! You're like, oh no! You dig on multiverses? Wait. You dig on multiverses? Yes, I'm so excited. The movie is basically your classic monkey's paw. It's Wishapon.
SPEAKER_03See ya.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Hold on to that, because you're not gonna like it after.
SPEAKER_03Hold on tight. Let's go.
SPEAKER_04Uh Wishapon, and that's the movie. Without getting spoilers, we want to hit play.
SPEAKER_02Do I want to?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, right. We're starting to go fund me.
SPEAKER_01GoFundMe.
SPEAKER_04Are they starting to go fund me? But then also holding out a baseball cap with money in it.
SPEAKER_12Something happened to the dog. If nothing happens to this dog, I will go on a home set up baby trick.
SPEAKER_03What the fuck was that? I don't I have so many questions. I don't even know where to begin.
SPEAKER_11Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03Ryan, uh either you lose weirdo girl or keep you lose your cousin, and I think you know it worked out for him. Yep. So there's that.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_03What was the deal with the mom?
SPEAKER_04I don't know how she got the box. She wished for a bunch of stuff, and I guess she would didn't like it, so then she wrapped it up, threw it in a dumpster, and then hanged herself.
SPEAKER_03Did she wish that her husband was cool? And that's why he originally started playing the saxophone.
SPEAKER_04That actually would explain that. But then maybe she got worried because he was too cool to be married to, because like he's a big deal now.
SPEAKER_03So she's a he's way hotter than me. I s I did not think this through.
SPEAKER_04Make him less cool. He's like, yeah, that's fucking trash.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, that would make so much sense. Dad, what are you doing? It's a hobby. Jeez, Claire.
SPEAKER_02What are you talking about? I'm just hanging out with Carl, picking up some stuff.
SPEAKER_10Dad, we live in a freaking mansion. What else do you need? Claire. No, forget about it.
SPEAKER_04I love it. The confrontational scene. Like, Dad, you need to stop drinking, but just about him fucking picking trash with his buddy.
SPEAKER_03Dad, you need to stop that. It's ruining our lives.
SPEAKER_04He's just clicking out the spread. Go with the dumpsters. It's really not that harmful, too. It's fine. Just leave him alone.
SPEAKER_03If you don't stop, you're gonna lose your daughter forever. There's a group for people like you that can help you.
SPEAKER_04You have a space. I'm dad, and I'm a d I don't remember the character's name. I'm dad. And I'm a dumpster diver. I dad.
SPEAKER_03What if she does wish I missed it? I was too busy trash.
SPEAKER_04For her dad to stop being so embarrassing. Oh. Because her dad's gonna become hot. Like Saracha hot. It's due to finding characteristics because of the wishes.
SPEAKER_03It's so hot and cool. I mean, he plays a saxophone. Yeah, but he likes collecting trash, so never mind. And let me tell you, super uncool.
SPEAKER_04That's not hot sauce.
SPEAKER_03Like I don't know what that woman wished for.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I never goes into that. She wishes for her mom to be light, and then immediately like her mom comes in. It's sunny, then the mom goes in with two other kids, and then siblings, I guess, and then they're like, It's your birthday, have some cake.
SPEAKER_02She's like, Oh my god, glitters and rainbow and sunshine and flowers.
SPEAKER_01I wish my mother never committed suicide. I missed you so much. You missed me so much. Happy birthday, guy! Hold up, downstairs, you know, chop chop.
SPEAKER_04Happy birthday.
SPEAKER_03Okay, it's something your birthday's getting sex for me playing some happy birthday.
SPEAKER_04Just like that, he was hot again.
SPEAKER_11Just like that.
SPEAKER_04Saracha hot.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh, and that seems she goes flying across the street. She went flying at a diagonal which direction just pow.
SPEAKER_11What?
SPEAKER_04I was just trying to drive, winner. The fucking shot.
SPEAKER_03Across the frickin' road.
SPEAKER_04The school's right there. Why were you going that fast?
SPEAKER_03At an angle. She went diagonally.
SPEAKER_11Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I don't understand why. That's the other one. Because the box thingy said to give it away. And it'll cancel the wishes.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so for that one, I think uh not not that I'm trying to find this movie. I think because she used all seven to her wishes, though, then that means she has to die.
SPEAKER_03Got she? Is that the rule?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because that was the thing. They were saying, like, if you if you wish all seven though, then it'll kill you because that's what happened to uh oh my god, what's the actor's name?
SPEAKER_03Uh oh. Jerry O'Connell and his wife.
SPEAKER_04Exactly. That's why after Jerry O'Connell's character where he uh used all the wishes and then died.
SPEAKER_11Mysteriously.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because something burst into his house. They didn't explain that. Like why why did something go and he was ugly boogie too.
SPEAKER_03I I have to look up why Jerry O'Connell is in this movie. I don't honestly know. I are they friends? They've gotta be friends or something. Jerry. What are you doing in there, Jerry?
SPEAKER_05You know the number on the box that we couldn't figure out? Well, I did. It's a military ID number belonging to an airman by the name of Arthur Sands. That's him.
SPEAKER_03Is that Freddy Mercury?
SPEAKER_04It actually looks a lot like a military.
SPEAKER_03Strong jaw. Good-looking man.
SPEAKER_06A few years later, he opened up a very successful car dealership in Jersey. He lost his best friend in a freak accident. Here's the kicker. And that's him six months later.
unknownOh my god.
SPEAKER_03Oh. He was dressed up as Freddie Mercury in that picture.
SPEAKER_06He was actually. In the last five years or so, the box resurfaced again in Cleveland with a man named Lawrence Hart.
SPEAKER_03Jerry O'Connell.
SPEAKER_06He went to the year in Sweetheart and has two daughters.
SPEAKER_03That was his wife. That's what I think what I mean. Why are they in here?
SPEAKER_06His daughter's drowned. His wife died in a car.
SPEAKER_03Wait, hang on. What is happening?
SPEAKER_04Lost his mind. I have no idea why he's in this movie.
SPEAKER_02Are they friends with the director?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I don't know. Alright, I got just finished up kangaroo jack. I got to.
SPEAKER_11Why? Why are they here?
SPEAKER_03What was that? Rebecca Romain, we really need a picture of you and your husband. I've got several. No, we need a picture of you and your husband. It's for a movie. It's just a thing. Nobody's gonna notice the cameo.
SPEAKER_06After seven wishes, the Yagui claims the soul. Sorry.
SPEAKER_04That's what I was saying. Like, you're gonna see someone in the movie, and you're not gonna know why.
SPEAKER_02Why is Jerry in there?
SPEAKER_04Why is Jerry O'Connell in my movie?
SPEAKER_03O'Connell has an uncredited cameo as a previous of a music box. I know. Why? Why is he in there?
SPEAKER_11Uh single. Oh, I'm looking it up.
SPEAKER_03Why is Jerry O Connell? That's not how you spell it. Connell. What's it called? Push a pong.
SPEAKER_11Push a pong. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03The cameo is likely used in trailers to draw attention to the film leveraging his recognizable face for a popular horror movie. Is that it? That's the only reason why he's in there.
SPEAKER_04I never was able to figure out why.
SPEAKER_03Jerry. I like to think that the director was like, hey, if I got a picture of you and your wife, he's like, why? It's just, you know, for the movie.
SPEAKER_04You think he like showed up on there? He's like, how did you get this? He's like, no, let's start rolling. An action. Oh, and your character dies. Wait, it says here I'd have like four more pages. Nope, he's dead now. Anyway.
SPEAKER_03All right, get out of here. All right, bye. Bye. He got an uncredited cameo. No one even mentioned the fact that it's a picture of him twice. That is bonkers. This movie got a 20% shocker on Modern Tomatoes. I like this. Ed Potton of the Times also gave it one out of five stars, writing, Seldom has a teen protagonist been as annoying as the one in this high concept high school horror. Somewhere in here, there's a message about the powers of peer pressure and the cruelty of social media that's submerged below all this stagey angst and telegraph peril. By the end, you're hoping that Claire gets her just desserts. And I think she got a little bit more than dessert.
SPEAKER_04Did you add that last time? I had the last part. That's very that's very modicum, this reviewer.
SPEAKER_03That doesn't sound like an interviewer kind of switched vibes there for a second.
SPEAKER_04I would like to thank the screenwriter for a lot of lines in this movie, but specifically, I would like to thank them for the line of what's so funny, winner.
SPEAKER_00What's so funny, winner? I'm just gonna start calling everyone a winner.
SPEAKER_04Like your smegma, but like ultimate.
SPEAKER_03I won't say that one because that's just gross. Your smegma. But like ultimate smagma. I can call people a winner at work.
SPEAKER_04No, don't yeah, don't say in office like you're like ultimate smegma.
SPEAKER_10Smagma. It's a noun. A melodorous, opaque white or yellow substance produced by the sebaceous glands of male and female genitalia.
SPEAKER_03But I can call someone in a very sneer voice like winner. Yeah, winner.
SPEAKER_01Get off the road, winner!
SPEAKER_03I couldn't even ante it up and go winner, winner, chicken dinner. That's a compliment, but you said it like an insult. I don't know how to feel.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because you're a winner. Cause you're a winner. Hold up. You dig on multiverses? Wait.
SPEAKER_03You dig on multiverses? Because I'm a slut for wontons.
SPEAKER_05Uh well, she's a slut for wontons.
SPEAKER_04Oh no, but like your dad is like serious hot. Like Sriracha hot.
SPEAKER_01Your dad is like serious hot sauce. Like Sriracha Hots.
SPEAKER_03It would be really cool if she was like, I wish my dad was cool. And the next scene, him playing saxphone, was the beginning of Careless Whisper.
SPEAKER_04Ooh. That would have been I I don't I don't know if they could have afforded it because Probably not. That would have been cool. That would have been very cool. Again, we gotta stop doing songs because then I will have to edit around that because I cannot afford songs.
SPEAKER_03Uh I don't know what the rules are for that.
SPEAKER_04I I think it has to be less than like seven seconds. I know like you can't get super into music because like movies are not they're more okay, but music people are very litigious.
SPEAKER_03It was a movie. Uh that was a ride.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03Why?
SPEAKER_10Made me feel special.
SPEAKER_06Is there anything you wish for that you can't live without?
SPEAKER_10No.
SPEAKER_06See, you don't need it.
SPEAKER_04Are you seriously gonna go try and do it?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what are you doing? What's happening? It's your life. The humans aren't humaning in this movie.
SPEAKER_04No. They really aren't.
SPEAKER_11Where are you in here?
SPEAKER_04Uh yeah, there's some uh great scenes in the movie. I specifically love the shot the dad with the chainsaw. Or the dad holding the ladder for his buddy using the chainsaw in the most dangerous way possible.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's what's I'm sure me doing a balancing act with his chainsaw.
SPEAKER_11Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03Not like I can't just hop off ladder and scooch the ladder over a few inches. I'm closer. No, I'll reach. You'll be fine. What could go wrong? What could go wrong?
SPEAKER_04And then it slips uh after the ladder coming up outs, and he like throws the chainsaw down and he just does a hard cut to her, and you just see the blood spatter on her face.
SPEAKER_11No.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god, you guys like Cool dad. No.
SPEAKER_04No, not my cool dad.
SPEAKER_03Oh, her friend is gonna be so disappointed. Because she's never gonna recover from this.
SPEAKER_04Also, yeah, so when she wishes for him to be cool, then he's playing saxophone. Like it's pretty abrupt of a cut.
SPEAKER_11Yes.
SPEAKER_04And then they're all watching him play the saxophone with his two other friends who I don't know who they are.
SPEAKER_03I was really hoping one of them was Carl.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was so big too, but it's not.
SPEAKER_03Wow, Carl plays the drums. Who knew?
SPEAKER_04They're just two random people in his house that are playing for him, and he's playing, and they're watching him on the stairs for I don't know what reason. Because he's cool. Because he's cool. That was their version of cool tattoo. It never comes up like in any other interactions. Like, oh yeah, that you're you're this guy's daughter. He's really a great guy, or he's very cool. Like cool. The screamer's like, how do I come up with cool? Hmm. Well, okay, here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna put him in the living room. Two buddies. He's playing the saxophone. Yeah. Okay, but he we have him in an earlier scene playing the saxophone. Okay. But her friends are super into it.
SPEAKER_03And he's got friends now.
SPEAKER_04And he's got two friends.
SPEAKER_03Besides Carl. Carl is a winner. I think it would have been really funny if she says, I wish my dad was cool, and then you hear a saxophone, and the girl's watching cool dad, and the camera pans over, and it's like Idris Elba playing the saxophone.
SPEAKER_04Please recast on how I'm like, wow, your dad is so hot. Your dad is like hot, serious hot well. Like sterile rock. And then just hit yourself up. The rest of the movie. Yeah. Except for when the dreams come out.
SPEAKER_03And then you just did sort of fry and believe again.
SPEAKER_04And then as soon as she gets the box back, it's itch yourself up again.
SPEAKER_03Playing happy birthday on the sacks. Just said it would have made the movie ten times better.
SPEAKER_04That actually that honestly would have been like amazing. I would oh, okay. I'm pumped out they didn't do it. There's no changes to him other than his her friends like being super into him. That's it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was it. I I do feel like uh character-wise, didn't care about anybody. I was most invested in cooldown. Like he was the most I was invested in.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but cooldown has problems.
SPEAKER_03Like what? Name five.
SPEAKER_04Well, he's uh a hoarder and a dumpster diver, and his problem is that, and that's it. But like I like that she has to confront him. I don't know, I just heart me wonders. I would like to imagine in the screenplay, again, I can only have theories, but like, did he show up to pick her up at school? And everyone was like, oh, that's the that's the Aoki guy, you know, like that's the drunk guy, and like it's like, hey, where's my daughter? She goes here. And then she shows up, like, oh my god, you're embarrassing me. And then he's like, that's fine. But then they were like, hey, we can't do alcoholism or whatever, because we want PG13, I guess, and maybe it won't sell well. They just did a word search and then just changed all the words to hoarding and dumpster diving. So every time he's doing the drinking stuff, he's dumpster diving, but not at all. It's word search because they didn't find every instance of it. So sometimes he's still drinking in the middle of the day.
SPEAKER_03Just having a brew ski with my new curtain rods I found in the dump. Having a good old time.
SPEAKER_04Leaves there and then she bumps into it and like dad, come on!
SPEAKER_10What? We don't have room for all of this crap!
SPEAKER_02I'm gonna use them.
SPEAKER_10What do you what do you mean, huh? Dad, seriously, you can't get rid of anything. What would mom say, huh? Dad. Dad, are you listening to God?
SPEAKER_03But that is kind of the weird thing, because when they're first doing the dumpster diving, they're like, oh yeah, that'll be worth a pretty penny. I don't think that was an actual line, but it could have been. But he never sells anything. So I don't really understand why they're dumpster diving.
SPEAKER_04I don't know why either. I don't know if that's his job. I don't think it is. Because they seem to be doing fine.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, clearly. Because when they got kicked out of the mansion, we don't even know why that happened. They didn't even bother to come up with a reason.
SPEAKER_04Taxes. I thought she said something like, oh, they didn't pay taxes the whole time styling.
SPEAKER_03It's like taxes. Is that how that works?
SPEAKER_04And Wish Upon it is. I have no idea. Yes, the the government's like, alright, we'll let you out the hook, but you have to give us one of your houses, and it has to be the cool one.
SPEAKER_03Cool one it is. Then I'm like, how much taxes did you pay or didn't pay? What what do what does like uh I have so many questions. They're like we're gonna keep this cool, awesome mansion. We don't have to pay for anything else. I'm like, that is not how living works. That's it. That's how it goes.
SPEAKER_11Oh god.
SPEAKER_03There's so many things you have to pay for. Also, you have another house. You did not sell, clearly.
SPEAKER_04No, they didn't. They just go right back to it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like, do we even consider selling that house to pay for things? Yeah, I don't invest the economy and help out a lot.
SPEAKER_04It was kind of like a child, childish like screenwriting, because not to be at the screenwriter too much. They just go right back to the house that they lived in before. And I know like that's the crux of the movie. Yeah. But the people who died stay dead. They don't like go directly back.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I was really hoping for a zombie max. I'm like, it's reversed. That means he comes back to life, yes?
SPEAKER_04No, but yeah, he stayed dead until you go back in time. Which means that technically the only people died, uh only if you dig on multiverses, would be would like would be the mom and the daughter.
SPEAKER_11So Right.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and then uh Paul, uh, she wishes for Paul to fall in love with her.
SPEAKER_03Which he was very chill about until the end.
SPEAKER_04Until he's not, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I wish that whole middle boy would fall badly in love with me. Oh power choice of words. I love you.
SPEAKER_02I love you! And I'm mad about it.
SPEAKER_04Why wish I didn't love you? See, I would waste all my wishes on flaw.
SPEAKER_03I g no one can get hurt that way. What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_07I'm just not into it anymore. It's not you. It's just just I can't date someone I don't have feelings for.
SPEAKER_12Damn, Omar. According to my subtitles. I didn't actually learn her name.
SPEAKER_03Maybe that's why he dumped you. Jesus.
SPEAKER_08So will you?
SPEAKER_04Didn't ask her anything.
SPEAKER_08He just walked up to her and said, go out with me. Look, I know it's a short notice, but see new scavengers coming up, and I thought it'd be fun if we went.
SPEAKER_10Paul, you just broke up with your girlfriend. Like two seconds.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he's just walking in the hall.
SPEAKER_03I can still see her. She's still walking away. My shoulder still stings from where she slammed into me.
SPEAKER_04Never hasn't been truer. You just broke up with your girlfriend.
SPEAKER_03Calm down.
SPEAKER_04They had him stalk outside her window and take pictures of her.
SPEAKER_03I mean, didn't we all go to that phase?
SPEAKER_04He's madly in love with her, but he's just like stupid too, because she's like, hold on, what is this? Is this all me? He's like, yeah, what's the problem? He's like out of touch.
SPEAKER_10Well, let me see your phone now, or I'm out.
SPEAKER_08They're just pictures of you. Even cute when you're sleeping.
SPEAKER_10You've been spying on me.
SPEAKER_08Oh, yeah?
SPEAKER_10What is wrong with you?
SPEAKER_08Are you mad?
SPEAKER_10Yes, I'm mad.
SPEAKER_08Smoking when you're mad.
SPEAKER_10I think maybe that we need a break.
SPEAKER_08I don't.
SPEAKER_10I'm just trying to be nice. Paul, I'm breaking up with you. I gotta get out of here.
SPEAKER_09Claire, wait. This isn't over. Claire!
SPEAKER_04Like, why are you sneaking off and running if you know that this is wrong? But then the next time when you're caught about it, you're like, yeah, no big deal. I love you and stuff. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03People love to.
SPEAKER_04And then she tries to kill her himself in her room, and nobody talks about that.
SPEAKER_03They just are we're just not gonna discuss this.
SPEAKER_10What are you doing here?
SPEAKER_09Why haven't you answered my text?
SPEAKER_10You need to leave right now.
SPEAKER_09What if I said I don't want to live without you? And I don't want you to live without me.
SPEAKER_10Please, you just just leave.
SPEAKER_09So we're done?
SPEAKER_10Oh my god. Yes.
SPEAKER_04She said madly in love. I love you.
SPEAKER_03That's the better option. Oh, yeah, this problem solved.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that one really fixed itself for you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You know what could have ended. Much more worse. Wow, they're just gonna go right past that. That was that was barely a blip in the movie. Yeah, I know. Anyways, moving on.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Anyway.
SPEAKER_03Yep, so sad. Anywho, where's my music box that grants magical wishes?
SPEAKER_04That's a that's a sentence.
SPEAKER_03Acknowledge that. You could have taken out of the movie, nothing would have changed.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, a hundred percent.
SPEAKER_03No one talks about it, acknowledges it. Nothing. It was a very weird scene.
SPEAKER_04Not only does it never come in, even when you see him again back with his girlfriend.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04He doesn't nobody nothing. He just looks at her kind of sideways and then they keep going on.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_03Girlfriend takes him back. No problem.
SPEAKER_04Yep. No problem. You tried to kill yourself in front of this girl in her room. But no, you're good.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, you're so edgy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. She's she has a garbage compactor thing. Uh that's not the word. Not garbage compactor. I think it was Star Wars.
SPEAKER_03Disposal.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and then like she puts her braid in the sink like she's really crazy. Did she click? I thought I saw her click it, too. It's like it wasn't her knee. I thought I saw her go and actually click it while putting her hair in the drain.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, I think so. What the fuck?
SPEAKER_10No, not the neighbor.
SPEAKER_04I'm getting a sinking feeling for her.
SPEAKER_03Don't let it be horrible. Take anybody else. You gotta get the pot. Get the pot. Get the pot. No. Oh, just explode the house and make it end.
SPEAKER_04Damn it. Just put a garbage disposal thing right there? Just where you can accidentally bump it?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's a worse place.
SPEAKER_04You want you want kids able to reach it easily. Yeah. Everyone does that with their garbage disposal. Make sure you get your braid all the way in there. You know how you just leave your hair? She was trying to die.
SPEAKER_03She was just asking for it. I don't even care anymore. That's fine. And she can easily reach it.
SPEAKER_04No, this is tense. There's just no way.
SPEAKER_03Wait, what happened?
SPEAKER_04I think it broke her neck.
SPEAKER_03Is that what happened?
SPEAKER_04I think, yeah, you ever get your hair to break her.
SPEAKER_03I can't even think of an example right now.
SPEAKER_04It's stronger, but also her hair is stronger than her neck bones were. Her spine was weaker than her neck.
SPEAKER_03Her scalp is intact, let me tell you.
SPEAKER_04Sturdy.
SPEAKER_03She is a sturdy woman. Oh, not in the spine.
SPEAKER_04Why is this happening? And then that leads to the best scene where then they do the her body being crowned.
SPEAKER_03And the girls look a lot better than I anticipated.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it looks fine. It's like slightly discolored, I guess.
SPEAKER_03That's about it.
SPEAKER_04She's been inside for a few days. That makes sense. And then uh then you just see the uh the the hearers scream that's not the actor scream at all. At all. It's like it's just a stock scream. And then it cuts back to her halfway while the screen clip is going. They didn't even cut it right. He's cut back to her. You still hear the scream, but she's not screaming. Mrs.
SPEAKER_10DeLuca, are you home? It's Claire.
unknownMrs. DeLuca!
SPEAKER_03Oh, you're gonna find your dead neighbor, and she's gonna look gross.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Did you see that? They ADR'd the scream? That was weird. Because they cut back to her and she's not screaming. I know.
SPEAKER_01That was weird.
SPEAKER_04Or not even ADR'd. That was just a stock scream. That wasn't her. That's fucking so weird. We can't afford her to come back, guys, so find me a scream. Because the audience can't infer that she's upset by this. She looked horrified, so we need the screen. We need it. No, just cut back to her looking like she's not screaming. I don't care.
SPEAKER_11Oh, it was Yeah, it was bad.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. So yeah. The movie is Seven Wishes, Seven Deaths, and uh sequel to Seven Rides for Seven Brothers. I don't think I've seen that. What?
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh. It's an old movie.
SPEAKER_04Oh. Okay. Well now I've lost my cinema crowd.
SPEAKER_03Uh God. I don't remember much about it. Well, there's it's it's in the title. It's not much more to that. Seven Brothers, Seven Brothers. I think it's a musical. Okay. If I remember correctly. But um God, I saw that once when I was in like middle school because my friend Mackenzie was really into it.
SPEAKER_04So naturally you immediately remembered a lot about it to bring it up here.
SPEAKER_03That's how my brain works.
SPEAKER_04You saw characters that are actors and then you immediately like know their names and everything. Like, what the fuck? I don't know these people.
SPEAKER_03My silly brain.
SPEAKER_04Um, but yeah, and then um she dreams or sleep wishes for her mom to come back, and then it's suddenly her birthday, and kids come running in saying, Happy birthday. We got you cake.
SPEAKER_03You got you cake. Yeah, they said little twins I've never seen in my entire life. Twins!
SPEAKER_04They never show up again too, so that's picturesque, perfect life.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, until Carl chops off my father's head with the chainsaw.
SPEAKER_04Uh he went out on a limb to do that, yeah. Yeah, uh so it's seven where the wishes were okay, I'm just term make sure that I can summarize it for the podcast. So she wishes to be that the girl with rot that bullies her and calls her a winner a lot.
SPEAKER_00What's so funny? Winner.
SPEAKER_04Um the one that is S Magma E. And then Darcy Rot. Darcy. Is that is that really her name? Pretty sure. Holy shit.
SPEAKER_10I wish that Darcy Chapman would just I don't know, but just like go rot. What?
SPEAKER_04You know how you say that?
SPEAKER_02Just go rot!
SPEAKER_11Ew.
SPEAKER_04Okay. So then yeah, uh she rots, boy likes her, but that like doesn't really take effect for a long time until suddenly it really does.
SPEAKER_03It really does.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay, wait. I do want to say with you though, that scene where he's he breaks up with her, like it she's with the Abrector.
SPEAKER_03And then the girlfriend with me? You just broke up with your girlfriend.
SPEAKER_04Two seconds ago. You see him walk right over to her, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like you were only like six feet down that way.
SPEAKER_04He takes like eight steps, he goes walking over, and he's like, hey, you wanna go to the whatever event with me?
SPEAKER_03And it's just the way she says the events that these kids go to.
SPEAKER_04An effigy, like I think I think it was like a Guy Fox thing. That was bizarre.
SPEAKER_03It's more of a uh college thing, I feel like, if you're gonna see that in a movie.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it is. Like and it was under a bridge too, which like they went off campus for a high school thing and burned a Viking thing.
SPEAKER_03Right. Maybe that's more of a college feel than a high schooler's like if parties at a house, okay. That checks. I wasn't my attendy, but it's whatever. Uh making this about me now.
SPEAKER_04And suddenly the episode became all about you.
SPEAKER_03Became my therapy session. Uh but yeah, having it underneath the bridge, burning shit. Uh I'm like, yeah, it's not really high schooler. I don't know if this guy ever went to high school.
SPEAKER_04I'm the director. Yeah, or like he did so like in a in a different time, like, ah, walls, that was he, and then suddenly he's like, in Greece. Sure. And then that's it. And then that's his high school, because no one's acting like high schoolers there.
SPEAKER_11No.
SPEAKER_04So yeah, the boy like uh dad cool, um, which again he really doesn't change. Uh they learn the with the Chinese girl.
SPEAKER_03I think uh even though she's on screen for such a very Short amount of time. She is my favorite character.
SPEAKER_01That's a bummer.
SPEAKER_03Oh, right in the eye.
SPEAKER_04The the blood price, uh, and the phrases and all that. The box that was coppery is now red and black. Yep. And then what are the what the other wish was then be popular and which that this was, and then the Rome loved her, and then and the rich thing where he falls in the tub.
SPEAKER_11No.
SPEAKER_04Uh I will say he looks a little tuby in this game.
SPEAKER_03Oh.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_03I'm not as talented. Something something bad. Am I right? Got him. Got him.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_04I love the thing.
SPEAKER_11Why? I don't know.
SPEAKER_02I don't know why they decided he should get up out of the fucking bath and slam his head in there. It's like a cut back.
SPEAKER_04Uh the grandpa Uncle August. I remember his name was August, because when he died, I was like, guess it's September. I didn't say it because it's two years.
SPEAKER_11Guess it's September.
SPEAKER_04Because his name is August, so when he's the August is over, it's because it's September.
SPEAKER_11But that's a great one. So funny.
SPEAKER_04And yeah, and then he die, uh he dies. Well, he he falls from the tub and then gets up. It could have been a life alert thing, actually.
SPEAKER_03Uh oh. How did Uncle August get so rich?
SPEAKER_04They never elaborate on that. Just like they never elaborate what the mom's wishes were. Or why the mom I don't know. The mom sucks. Because also the mom, the one that killed herself. Not to be like flippant about it. She did she not think her daughter would ever come back and look for her? Right. And she just did that right upstairs, like in a sunny day. She's like, oh, go on the bike. Now is the time.
SPEAKER_03She'll never find me.
SPEAKER_04She'll never find me in the attic. And then me and her. Lo and behold, little did she know, the girl on the bike does not go very far on the bike. She goes to the end of the not even like two driveways over and comes right back.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, it took a grand total of two minutes for her to go up into the attic and kill herself.
SPEAKER_04She was in a hurry. She's like, shit, I don't got all day.
SPEAKER_03I gotta get this done now. Before she comes back. She's a little girl. She can't go far by herself.
SPEAKER_04She does it with the speed that I imagine like new parents do when they're trying to get, you know, intimate with each other. We're like, shit, we have no time before the kid like wakes up.
SPEAKER_11Set your timer.
SPEAKER_04Set the alarm. Set the alarm. We gotta do this now. But she does it with that urgency of like this haste of like I'm going to kill myself in like three minutes.
SPEAKER_02Go.
SPEAKER_04Kicks the stool and just immediately.
SPEAKER_03Eh.
SPEAKER_04Uh then becomes a doctor who episode at the end where she time travels. Everyone's fine.
SPEAKER_03While making wildly inappropriate advances on Ryan.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Unknowing Ryan.
unknownRyan, hey!
SPEAKER_10Can I uh talk to you for a second?
SPEAKER_06Uh sure.
SPEAKER_10Okay, um. First off, I just wanted to say um I'm sorry for the whole McFarlase thing.
SPEAKER_05Wait, what? Really?
SPEAKER_10Yeah. Um, but you know what? Maybe in the multiverse that didn't happen.
SPEAKER_04Hold on. You dig on multiverse?
SPEAKER_10Yeah. And also, maybe in the multiverse we're really good friends. Maybe we're even dating.
SPEAKER_03I mean weird. Well, have we done it?
SPEAKER_10No, not yet. I've also met your cousin Gina, hung out in her loft and everything.
SPEAKER_05Okay, you're freaking me out right now.
SPEAKER_10Good. Because I need a favor. Okay, this is gonna sound crazy, but please don't open this. Just just bury it, no shortcuts.
SPEAKER_03Why okay, whatever.
SPEAKER_05What's in it for me?
SPEAKER_10Dinner, if you want. And maybe we could talk more on this whole multiverse thing.
SPEAKER_04He loves the multiverse, you know him well.
SPEAKER_06And you can tell me how you know my cousin and that she has loft.
SPEAKER_11Done.
SPEAKER_02No! That's weird. Yeah. She's weird.
SPEAKER_11Dead. Dead. I'll see you around.
SPEAKER_04He said he was into her before she was he realized that she was the cause of the death of his cousin and like everyone around her.
SPEAKER_03Um, but she didn't know that. He never had mid feelings to her.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, she didn't know that, and then when they were talking after her the boyfriend or her ex-boyfriend now uh tried to kill himself in the room, the very next day, I guess we can presume when they're talking, because he's like, hey, we should do something about this box, she like bites her lips lip and then is like I'm gonna kiss this guy.
SPEAKER_03She's like, I'm so turned on right now. Just to talk about my box.
SPEAKER_11Take me now.
SPEAKER_04See for things plays music and don't. I don't know what that's supposed to mean, but there's no Ryan's like, um, chill.
SPEAKER_03Chill. I'm a serious wantons. Not you. Oh god, my cousin.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. It it's bizarre, it's all strange. And then yeah, she goes, makes weird advances on him. He's like, hey, I uh you like you like women, right? And he's like, sure. She's like, good, bury this backpack for me.
SPEAKER_03Yep. And then maybe I can take you out for dinner tonight, talk multi-person. She's like, you know what? While I'm leaving, let's go ahead and we'll just we'll skip to the very end of the date that's not gonna happen until later. And then just max on him, and he's like, uh. And then the friends And then she gets hit back her.
SPEAKER_04Before that, though, the friend does say the line, dude really reminds me of like uh something like a 90s comedy. Just like, dude.
SPEAKER_03Uh that was that the same friend with the whole tit pick?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that was the same friend who kept like taking pictures of her, like took pictures of her butt and then of the sh stain on her shirt, and then said that's hot.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's the only issue I had with Ryan is his choice of friends. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Well at the best.
SPEAKER_04Not good. Um, and then yeah, and then she crosses the street and immediately dies.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I'm not like upset about it.
SPEAKER_04Oh no, I'm not, she was terrible. She's a horrible. She was awful. She was horrible. Okay. Uh, but the scene where then the box vanishes, and then you learn the friend had taken it to school, yeah, which you pointed out. That's the only place that they would interact mutually at. So why would you take it there?
SPEAKER_03Like, there hasn't been a lot of scenes where uh actually, she there hasn't been any scenes where she's gone over to the friend's house. Not once. And then the friend, she's like, Why did you take it? And the friend said, Because I have two sisters, and I don't know what that means. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Why would you bring it here in the first place? Because I have two little sisters at home. Give it back right now.
SPEAKER_04I don't know. Okay, so my thoughts on that right now. I'm not sure if either she said that because she she was worried, of course, that like maybe that for some reason the box would now choose her sisters when it had never chosen anyone that she doesn't know uh for. Or it's she's like already dug into the role of being a mom. Like, you know, when they're like, please think of the children. I chose she doesn't have kids. She's like, please, I have two sisters.
SPEAKER_03I have two sisters who are like my children.
SPEAKER_04She's already been thinking, like, well, I'm basically a mom now.
SPEAKER_03Still waiting for Prince Charming to enter my life. What's your dad doing, by the way?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Still playing that mean old sax. I don't need a mansion. He's not Idris Elbe anymore, but I mean we can make it work.
SPEAKER_04I heard he likes trash. Well, he can take me out.
unknownOh god.
SPEAKER_03He could rummage through me. Oh god.
SPEAKER_04Okay. God. Especially because she's a teenager. That makes it so much worse. No, no, that's true.
SPEAKER_03The actress teenage girl says things all the time.
SPEAKER_04Sure. Sure, yeah, that's fine. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03We never had a hot for a friend's dad?
SPEAKER_04No, I don't think I've ever had a the hot for a friend's dad.
SPEAKER_03Weird.
SPEAKER_04Now, if that friend's dad had been eaterselba, then we're talking suddenly. That's a different story. I walk up to him like, whoa. Is this a mirror? Hello. Ryan Philippe. It's is that me?
SPEAKER_02How you've changed. Isn't that me?
SPEAKER_04Oh shit. But yeah. I thought the movie was interestingly not good at all, but it was a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_03It was a movie. It was fun.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so did you actually enjoy it?
SPEAKER_03I enjoyed watching it. I won't be doing it again. Uh but I did the yeah, it was fun to make fun of.
SPEAKER_04I think I've seen that movie honestly like five or six times. It's a bad amount. So when you're like, I'm not returning to it. I'm like, oh no.
SPEAKER_03I don't think I'll be watching it again unless I really hate my mom. It doesn't matter at her. I'll be like, great horror movie that I found. Right for Ellie. So scary. And then she's like, what the fuck is this? And I remember that time when I was 12. Just like boom. Boom. When you grounded me for being sassy. Well, who's sassy now?
SPEAKER_04You turned her and you're like, I think you're a selfish bull of bitch sauce.
SPEAKER_03I think you're a selfish bull of bitch sauce. Selfish. And storm out.
SPEAKER_04Storm right out.
SPEAKER_03Why are we even friends with her?
SPEAKER_04I don't know, but I love yeah. So uh at least now you know the quotes. So you will now have a frame of reference when I quote it to you.
SPEAKER_11Perfection.
SPEAKER_04And now I think I've learned that you'll say it work. What's up, winner? What's up, winner? I'm driving here, winner. That was so weird.
SPEAKER_03Uh I will just need to pick uh annihilation.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_03One of these nights.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03I won't say when. It'll be threes.
SPEAKER_04That's fine. Okay, okay. I didn't know if you were doing it like right now. Like, I don't know if I can hear the thing.
SPEAKER_03I'm gonna be like three months later. Surprise!
SPEAKER_04It's gonna be like I had a really hard week. A bad week, and then you're like, well, ow.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04You know, it's really getting hard to, you know, live my life. Well, too bad you will die.
SPEAKER_03That's such a bad movie. I love it so much. It's gonna be so great. I'm so excited. I'm so high on serotonin right now. I'm so excited. I do have to wait for like the perfect moment.
SPEAKER_04No, to attack me with it, yeah. I I'm gonna wait ever so patiently.
SPEAKER_11I know.
SPEAKER_04Um another one I think you should watch too, one of these days, then. This isn't the same, and I'm not gonna pick it for a while, if ever. But The Bye Bye Man.
SPEAKER_11The what?
SPEAKER_04The Bye Bye Man.
SPEAKER_11The Bye Bye Man.
SPEAKER_04It's in the similar vein of like Wishapon like terrible movies. Oh. Never heard of it. Not good, but it's a lot of fun. Uh I thought it was funny. I thought it was funny. It's not as funny to me as Wishabon. Wishabon has something special in it because it doesn't make a lot of sense. It's absolutely insane.
SPEAKER_03Do they actually call an individual bye-bye man?
SPEAKER_04Like, kind of. The basic basically, it's if you say bye-bye man, then like a demon comes and kills you. But you're trying not to say it. So the demon will possess you to make you say it anyway, so it really doesn't matter. I'm like, why do you need to say it then? But then also it's not a weird enough thing. You know, it's not like I am zoozu, or like beetle juice, beetle juice, beetle juice. It's not like something like you wouldn't say. So I I don't like what if you did say bye bye, man? I guess that's a weird thing to say, but it could happen.
SPEAKER_03You could say bye bye, and then right after you say the last bye, somebody trips and spills their soda on you. You go, man.
SPEAKER_04And then Demon. And then they look at you like, shh, I'm trying to recycle winner.
SPEAKER_02Ow.
SPEAKER_04There's gotta be an edit though, where the beginning when she gets when she drives her out into the trash cans on the bikes. There's gonna be an edit of that scene where like that it's that scene, but then instead it's the one where she hits her car, or so like it shows her a hitter. Like, I'm driving.
SPEAKER_03Those bullies are horrible bullies. So bad at it. Either they use compliments to insult, or when she's there, they just get up and leave.
SPEAKER_04Well, well, well. It isn't the woman who always smells like muffin mix. Muffin mix. No, if you're insulting me.
SPEAKER_03I don't know what that means.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I I don't know. And uh anyway, yeah, so thanks for putting up with my movie night choice. I I had a fun time.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, it was fun.
SPEAKER_04I liked also getting to make up a story about this one trying to be so mom.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was a weird plot that we just randomly put in there. We expanded it, yeah.
SPEAKER_11Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I have a family, and I want to be part of yours.
SPEAKER_04I can't let you use the box. I have two sisters.
SPEAKER_03Slappy, slappity, slappity.
SPEAKER_02Oh, mom.
SPEAKER_01Stop it, Claire. See what it's done. This is a bad idea. June, go away. Stop. Listen to me, just stop.
SPEAKER_03Why did she bring it to school? Where the person when you don't want to have it goes to school. Sorry, that literally funny is like slipping down the steps there.
SPEAKER_04And she's gonna run past her.
SPEAKER_03She's like just like when they were talking about his dead cousin switch down the stairs.
SPEAKER_04It's so weird, like so funny. Like, usually movies have some like flip and roll down.
SPEAKER_03Well, usually it looks super violent. That didn't look violent at all. It just looked more like uh inconvenience.
SPEAKER_04What the fuck is she gonna be okay? Like, I think she's fine, kid. Yeah, I think we're good.
SPEAKER_03She'll just be a little bit sore tomorrow.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, oh that hurt my face from that.
SPEAKER_03She's laughing about those. And then it's Ryan, what is wrong with you? You can't run away from this forever. She's like it's fine, I just need one more fix.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, she looks fine, just one more.
SPEAKER_03How about making more wishes? I just wanted a round.
SPEAKER_04This last one, unless you're careful. I still have two wishes left, and one of them could be you.
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh. She was annoying. Oh yeah. So many characters were annoying. Ryan was was okay. She's fine. Uh his cousin's okay too.
SPEAKER_11I do like his cousin. Yeah. That's about it.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I wasn't messed up with cooldown.
SPEAKER_04This character was confusing. I love the fact that the conversation is like, I'm afraid of like mom, you know? Like what's gonna happen? And then he's like, oh, you're a lot like your mom when like she's talking about how her mom killed herself. I was like, oh, but not like that.
unknownDo you think I'm like her?
SPEAKER_08Of course you are. No, no, no, sweetie, not like that.
SPEAKER_03I I just met because you're like, you know, cool. Nope, that's from me. Uh you pay me.
SPEAKER_04Play the saxophone. Nope, still me. Yeah, you're you're good at one man's trash and the other man's trash. No, that's me too.
SPEAKER_03You're blonde? No.
SPEAKER_04Uh you have a cool dad.
SPEAKER_03What can I say? Your dad's pretty cool. You're like your mom, and that you're nothing like her dad.
SPEAKER_04Your mom had dreams. She was always, you know, keeping her feet off the ground. No. She uh she was someone who hangs around a lot. Um she would really she'd stick her neck out for anyone.
SPEAKER_03Um adorable.
SPEAKER_04You know, sometimes she would choke, but ultimately, I think she was a completionist and she could really salt things through the end. What I'm saying is she killed herself. It's like, yep, okay.
SPEAKER_03Yes, dad, thank you.
SPEAKER_04Thank you.
SPEAKER_11Ah Get your fucking trash out of her.
SPEAKER_04Whatever those were, like toker. I don't know what those were, but like. Okay, curtain rods. And then he's like, score.
SPEAKER_03He's like, Oh my god, yes, this is exactly what I've been looking for. I want to put it in the corner. For some reason. Just in the corner of the house. The Fred's like, oh my god, yes, we can make so much money, and then they don't. They don't do anything about the shit that's like, or hear me out, I just keep these and add it to my collection.
SPEAKER_04And I love the weird boundaries they do. The dad's like, I got you something, and she's like, Dad, we talked about this. You have your space where you can keep your garbage, and I have my space. She's like, No more.
SPEAKER_03He's like, Again, I don't want trash presents. He's like, but I saw it and I thought of you.
SPEAKER_04You're gonna like this one. You know, you take a Chinese class in high school, well, it's weird Chinese letters on it. I thought you liked it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's because it's part of credits. I don't even care. I just need to graduate.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, sorry, talk about that movie makes me laugh even more though, because it's so weird.
SPEAKER_03Dad, you're so bursting. Uh you and Carl. Why is he always here?
SPEAKER_04They were so nice that I don't think that that's a problem at all. I uh other than the fact that like they were dumpster diving literally across the street. They had the entire town and they go across the street from the school.
SPEAKER_03Her school. Then they're like, let's go dumpster dying, just like old times. I'm like, she used to go with them. It's not like this is a new thing. It's been dumpster diving for years.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god, just like old times. You're like our old. Good luck, Char. Like, what is happening?
SPEAKER_03What have you guys found?
SPEAKER_04Um, I mean, I remember when I was younger, I we used to drive around sometimes and look for like this is when I was really young, we looked like for stuff people put in like their front yard or something that she gave away in like Philly.
SPEAKER_03Not sure.
SPEAKER_04But like we weren't actually digging in dumpsters.
SPEAKER_03No. That's not that's not the same as being like, oh, it's garbage day, guys. We better hit those cans before the garbage truck does.
SPEAKER_04I never seen it, but it really does remind me of an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where Charlie starts dumpster diving and then Frank does too. So like these two guys are doing that. They get super into it and they do things like that. They're like, oh, we really gotta hit it before like the the trash trucks come and take them. And like they can't they collect so much garbage they can no longer sleep in their apartment because there's too much stuff in there. So they start sleeping in dumpsters and then like carry a shopping cart with like a bunch of trash that they're finding that then they can go and empty out in their apartment. Honestly, a horror movie shouldn't remind me of an it's always sunny in Philadelphia episode.
SPEAKER_03I think horror movies rather putting it loosely.
SPEAKER_04It's technically in the horror section.
SPEAKER_11Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I mean so it's May 13th, part three, so part three. Yeah, that's in the horror section. I don't think that should be it.
SPEAKER_03That's true. Anyway, Elm Streets.
SPEAKER_04Nightmare Well, the first one I could see vague.
SPEAKER_03The first one, yeah, second one same. Third, yeah, but I think after third.
SPEAKER_04Uh is the is it I thought okay, so it's the final nightmare. Uh Freddy's Dead, the final nightmare. Is that the one where he also had takes someone like the bunch of people's faces being pizza, and like he takes their meatball like faces and eats it? Pretty sure. And he does like the Game Boy fighting thing too? Yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Oh, what's the claw?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. The power claw. The power glove.
SPEAKER_03Something like that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, something that sounds right. Or power glove or something or a gunt.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, or something like that.
SPEAKER_04Got it. Well, anyway, uh, movie night. Thanks for putting it. Um what are you planning on picking up for movie night?
SPEAKER_02I have no idea.
SPEAKER_04I take it. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Oh, there's so much pressure.
SPEAKER_04Alright, but Groovy, uh, thanks for movie night, and uh I'll talk to you later then. Bye. Bye.
