Mind Twin Movie Night
A podcast where two best friends, Mariko and JD, are often so in sync that they began referring to one another as "Mind Twins". They quickly realized that they are huge fans of movies (specifically Horror movies).
For years now, every Thursday night, the "Mind Twins" watch movies. Alternating on who picks the movie on a weekly basis, this duo decided to start a movie podcast. When they watch a movie. They talk. A lot. The Mind Twins decided to quarantine their commentary away from their loved ones in their lives and channel them in a podcast.
We watch a movie, record our reactions during the movie, cut that into our discussion and then talk about our thoughts on the movies. Come join us as we talk about movies we love, movies we didn't quite love, and everything in between.

How feeling? Somebody's watching me and I got no eye screen.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I got the song stuck in my head like the I always feel like somebody's watching me now because of that video. And but when I started the recording, I was like, I always feel like somebody's watching me, and I got no ice cream.
SPEAKER_06That worked very well.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And I got no prapsy.
SPEAKER_02My ice cream's starting to melt already.
SPEAKER_06One of the go-to songs for Halloween. Don't know why. The mailman's watching me.
SPEAKER_02Spooky. Well, I guess when you say it like that, yeah, I guess it's not spooky.
SPEAKER_05I wonder who's watching me now. The IRS.
SPEAKER_02We see you like the IRS is watching me again.
SPEAKER_03I'm thinking of spooky. I'm getting on it.
SPEAKER_06That is pretty spooky. I'm scared. That's adult spooky. Adult spooky. Adult spookies.
SPEAKER_02Different kind of spooky.
SPEAKER_06It's my band name in high school.
SPEAKER_02Adult spooky.
SPEAKER_06Adult spooky.
SPEAKER_03I don't know why that was a funny one.
SPEAKER_02Just that's my band. We're adult spooky. Hi, we're the adult spookies.
SPEAKER_03One, two, three, four.
SPEAKER_05That's so dope. I said that earlier. I'm trying to remember what I said it to.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_05Trying to remember.
SPEAKER_06Oh no, I oh, it was Graceful. I said Graceful is my middle name. And Rose was like, no, it's not. Alright, well, you ruined that joke, so the end of that smile. Could have been. My mom thought about it. She was like that it is a bit.
SPEAKER_02Rose? Wait, so you said Rose uh said that to you?
SPEAKER_06Yeah. She's like, no, it's not. Like, yeah, I know. I it's part of the joke.
SPEAKER_02She's savage. She's just like take it down.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, she's like, no. We uh it was the Jackbox game called Doominate, where you have to you get a prompt and you have to ruin it. And so the prompt was I have no friends. Ow.
SPEAKER_02A little close to home now.
SPEAKER_06And in which Rose's response to ruin that, because it's already bad, is good because you suck. Damn. Okay. Oh. Um she can cut she cuts deep when it's appropriate. Like a game. We're supposed to be like that.
SPEAKER_02That's funny.
SPEAKER_06Um I'm like, all right, geez.
SPEAKER_02Well, anyway, uh we are recording, so do you want to do the you have uh you have an intro wrote written. I do.
SPEAKER_03Uh binding it, I'm finding it.
SPEAKER_06I wrote it down on my phone, I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_02I will be starting to make sure that this is staying in the episode. So everyone knows we're hack frauds.
SPEAKER_06We're frauds! Welcome to Mind Twin Movie Night, a podcast where best friends with Sync Mind share their favorite movies and finish each other's dinner. I'm Oniko.
SPEAKER_02I'm JD.
SPEAKER_06And uh it is my pick for the week, and we're sticking with the rom-com theme. I am not a romance rom com kind of lady. Not my cup of tea when it comes to movies, but I did pick a movie that I remember liking a lot in high school.
SPEAKER_02And I haven't seen Chandler's List.
SPEAKER_06Close. P.S. I love you. I haven't seen it since high school. And for reference, I am 35. So I don't know how well it holds up. But we'll find out together.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm excited. I just finished high school. Please help. Cool. And you said this will make me cry.
SPEAKER_06I I predict it it will.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_06I'm I I'll cry at movies, but I think you're an easier cry than I am.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, no, I I I l I am a rom com guy. We'll say guy. Uh yeah. Yeah. Uh we will say that. We will say it, yeah. It's been said. Uh I am a rom-com guy and I uh tend to cry. And not all my sentences end in a rhyme, but it happens from time to time.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and and I the older I uh older I get, plus I have two kids, I I am a bit more I'm an easier cry than I used to be. But I still think between the two of us you are I think you'll cry.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so much. There's that from Elemental that you showed me I teared up in.
SPEAKER_06Uh I that was it's such a sweet movie. I that will that will be one of my my movie nights. Not not this time, but that will be a future one because I do like it a lot.
SPEAKER_02And this movie was directed by uh not elemental, PSI Lobby. That was who's who's it directed by?
SPEAKER_06That's a good question. Um quick Google search.
SPEAKER_02Well pretend you knew it the whole time. Or it's you knew it. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I I 100% know it. Uh uh Richard Link Ladder. Oh my god, you pronounce your last name, Richard. Richard Le Gravenese.
SPEAKER_02This is JD coming to you from the distant future. The correct pronunciation is Richard Le Gravinese. We were very close.
SPEAKER_06Totally pronounced that correctly.
SPEAKER_02Nailed it.
SPEAKER_06Nailed it. 2007. Um Hilary Swank and Tradler.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Hillary Swank's on the company.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_06Back in her Hillary Swankiness.
SPEAKER_02Who else is in it? Well, actually, I'll see it. I'll see it. I'll find out when I see them.
SPEAKER_06There's there's a lot of well-known actors in this. You'll be fine. You'll be like, oh hey.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm certain I haven't seen this. Um I'm I am certain, yeah. So I'm excited.
SPEAKER_03Let's go!
SPEAKER_02We cry. Do you do you want hit play or should I hit play?
SPEAKER_06Oh my god. The buttons are really tiny. I don't know why he does that.
SPEAKER_09Nothing in the world can you shoot me.
SPEAKER_06That's what I'm saying every morning when I kiss.
SPEAKER_02That's gonna be a fun stuff, but it's gonna be a funny.
SPEAKER_00Not even that much.
SPEAKER_06I don't like him at all. He's horrible.
SPEAKER_02Except we I should have a cry counter on this episode where it's a little ding every time I try to cry. I like it.
SPEAKER_06PS dang.
SPEAKER_02Dude! Oh god.
SPEAKER_06And that's PS I Love You.
SPEAKER_02Jennifer True Love, you're kidding me.
SPEAKER_06Second assistant director, Jennifer True Love.
SPEAKER_02That can't be a real name, is that? That has to be Steve's name.
SPEAKER_06Um, no, she was born with that name.
SPEAKER_02Really? That is I don't know.
SPEAKER_06I could look it up. That'd be funny.
SPEAKER_02It's pronounced Genevieve. Frankenstein. Gosh, uncultured swine. Abby Normal.
SPEAKER_04Abby Normal.
SPEAKER_02True love. If I got was someone whose name was true love, that would be horrible for them. I would just be like, this is true love.
SPEAKER_06Oh, that yeah, that's fair. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_02You know how I knew it was you. True love.
SPEAKER_06True love. Let's see. As far as I'm concerned, that is her name. Gosh, that's that's second unit director or assistant director, production department, or producer. She is known for the Adjustment Bureau, War of the Worlds, and the Stepford Wives.
SPEAKER_02That's like if you got a horror director who's like, hello, I'm Johnny Spooky Thrills.
SPEAKER_06I take that last name.
SPEAKER_02Oh boy, Johnny Mr. Spooky Thrills is my father. That actually kind of sounds normal. Like spooky thrills. Monico spooky thrills sounds strangely right.
SPEAKER_06It does. Is it a stage name? Stage name. No, no, no, no, no. I was born with this name.
SPEAKER_04I live this name. I die this name.
SPEAKER_02If you ever did take that name, for some reason, I will constantly stand behind you jazz handing while you do that. Oh, please. I am Martigo spooky thrills. Jazz hand as soon as you get the spooky thrill.
SPEAKER_06Lord of the darkness. We're going into a thundering sea.
SPEAKER_02Ah to the demon.
SPEAKER_06Father of a murdered child.
SPEAKER_02Husband to a murdered wife.
SPEAKER_06And I should get my revenge. And this life next. Jazz hands. Come out of the regions of the north. If you excuse me, I must use the little girl's room. I just wanted her name for the coffee. So this is a Wendy's. No, no, this is a Starbucks. Just needed the name for the cup. They spill it Jill.
SPEAKER_02Jill Jill spunky.
SPEAKER_06And I'm like, I hate a hair. I never get my name right. It's almost like I'm wasting my time with the monologue. Take my business elsewhere. Come, JD. Your jazz hands are needed elsewhere.
SPEAKER_02I'm running up with coconuts.
SPEAKER_06Come, Patsy.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. I I think if I had to write a biography of your life, it would probably be something like three degrees from Gladiator, two from Dr. Seuss. That's fair.
SPEAKER_06That's pretty accurate.
SPEAKER_02It's not uh the way I think that I could summarize your life better. Three degrees.
SPEAKER_05Gladiator, two degrees, tart seuss.
SPEAKER_02My life, my biography would be P.S. I'm hungry.
SPEAKER_05P.S. I'm hungry. Is that vegan?
SPEAKER_02PS this is vegan. Uh so that was P.S. I love you.
SPEAKER_05Um you like it. I it got you a bit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it got me a lot. It got me a little lot. A little bit. Just a lot.
SPEAKER_03A little bit.
SPEAKER_02A little bit. You know, I well, I think I cried like five or six times.
SPEAKER_06I I haven't seen it since high school. I think it's still good. I liked it still.
SPEAKER_02I liked it. Uh some parts of it are very very 2000s.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it's a it's a product at the time. It's a product of the time. It's not as harsh as I feel like maybe most rom-coms from that time.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no. It's not unheard of for a movie to be like, I'm in mourning and I lost my job, so I'm not gonna we're not gonna talk about money. Where like that would be my primary concern. If I was I live in the city in my apartment, it does not look like that. And if I lost my job, I would not be like, oh, I'll spend my more months just taking classes on how to do shoes.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, who took care of the rent while she was in Ireland? Like, I have so many questions.
SPEAKER_02Ireland's expensive. And I don't know how they afforded that.
SPEAKER_06Maybe he had a really high life insurance policy. She was she was set for a hot minute.
SPEAKER_02Oh, actually, maybe. Yeah, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. I'm gonna say that. That actually makes sense.
SPEAKER_03That actually makes sense. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06We'll go with that one, yeah. Really good life insurance policy. She was she's gonna be fine for you know until she's back on her feet, which apparently is a year without a job. Which jealous.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I didn't even I don't even think I had my childhood a year off of a job. I went right to labor force just in the factories.
SPEAKER_03Walking call on you. Sorry, I caught the black logs. Eventually to down their pop.
SPEAKER_02Please tell me, little JD, we'll see another Christmas. He's wearing a bow tie for some fucking reason.
SPEAKER_05Oh no, it's a silk.
SPEAKER_02This isn't coming out. Who's going to want you now?
SPEAKER_05They went to a really good drag theater.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, well, so I really liked it. I felt like it was a little on the nose of the score at a few times.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02A little bit, but not like in a bad, it's not a bad score. I'm not saying that. I just there's some moments like when they went to Ireland, they really want you to know that they're in Ireland. It's just like how in the thousands, like you obligatorily had to do like British invasion songs if you went to the UK. Like if you're in England, you just had to. Sure. Um, but yeah, I liked it. Uh, Gerard Butler does not do a good Irish accent, but I don't think I would do a very good one either. I think I okay one for Americans.
SPEAKER_07Why does he keep wanting me to remember all these things that make it harder?
SPEAKER_04It's cruel.
SPEAKER_07No, baby. I don't think he needs to be cruel.
SPEAKER_06I don't think he controlled the music uh selection of another person.
SPEAKER_01Here's the thing, Jeffrey D. Morgan, you're gonna go to Ireland. Cause I'm dead. I got brain too. Be dead as compete, and you owe me a favor. Who got you after the walking dead?
SPEAKER_06Excuse my goddamn friend. You threaten me? I think uh to me it's not distracting, but I don't have an ear for accents. Uh so I was like, yeah, sure. It doesn't sound like the other ones. But it's not a horrible distraction to me. But I I'm not from there.
SPEAKER_02You said he also apologized to Irish people or something for that?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, after the movie came out, he made an apology to all Irish people for his awful accent.
SPEAKER_02Oh really?
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's funny.
SPEAKER_05Like, yeah, sorry guys, I did my best. I'm Scottish, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I I really like it. I ugly cry always. I definitely like that. So the movie for the audience is uh Gerard Butler dies. Uh at the beginning. They dropped it on me when I got distracted by James Marston, which is a really mean thing to do because I was I didn't immediately recognize him because I I expect him to have like bleach blonde hair. And uh when it's a little darker, it was took me a second. I'm like, wait, oh my god, James Marsden. There you are. There you are. Suddenly, nope, it's the funeral. I'm like, oh why. Yeah. Who died?
SPEAKER_05Who died? Why is there a picture of Jerry up there?
unknownOh, John.
SPEAKER_02Where are we? Oh, um yeah, that's the same story. I experienced buffet vampire slayer pains off.
SPEAKER_08Oh, that's Jerry didn't die.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's her mom. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Wait, what?
SPEAKER_00Well, as Jerry would say, What let's get this party started. What? Jerry said a lot of words music. He was a unique young man. As you can see by the urn, he had designed by the love of his life. His wife, Holly. His life may be over for now, but we can still hear it. He lives in us forever in our hearts.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, this is so like, oh, it'll make you cry. I'm pretty sure you'll cry. Oh, they just made me like him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I didn't know anything about this movie going into it, so I definitely didn't see it before. But uh yeah, and so he dies, and then he creates a bunch of letters to help his wife move on. Surprise, Kathy Bates was the murderer the whole time. Uh she was the one helping to pull the strings, which did surprise me. Uh I like that.
SPEAKER_06But yeah, I'm just ending.
SPEAKER_02I really liked it. Uh I really like that he he was the perfect guy because in their fights he's he's just being sweet and funny.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, mostly. I mean, he he'll have little snarky comments here and there, but he conducts them with humor. Right. Which in real life might be exhausting. But in a movie, it's sweet and charismatic.
SPEAKER_02I hope if I uh I hope an ex of mine never listens to this podcast because I don't know if my hands are so clean there.
SPEAKER_06I if I'm like if we're using the the fight in the very beginning, she's upset because. He insinuates that she doesn't want children or she's not ready for children. And to her, that's like, How dare you? How could you? And so she's very angry about it. I think it's a little silly, but it's whatever. Uh but she's upset. And so if I was in her shoes and I was genuinely upset about something my husband said, and all he did was make jokes, it would piss me off more. Because I'm trying to be like, I'm trying to I'm not doing a good job. Granted, I'm screaming at you, but I'm expressing how angry I am because of the thing that you said, and I'm telling you why it's upsetting me, but all you're doing is making jokes right now, and I'm it's making me angrier because you're not taking me seriously. And so I kind of I kind of got that vibe, which I'm like, yep, accurate. Sounds good. But I also get his vibe because he's like, it's not that big of a deal. Like, obviously, I that's I didn't say you didn't want kids, I said you weren't ready, which there's nothing wrong with that. Yeah. A lot of projecting on her side, him being like, okay, you're, you know, blowing out proportion. So it's like, I get both sides. Makes sense. But I also understand it would be very exhausting if all they're doing is making jokes.
SPEAKER_02I guess the reason why I found that one more understandable and why I felt like that's something I might if I were to I'd done it before, and if I I've tried to grow past it, but if I lost composure, I could see myself trying to be funny uh to reflect. Uh but the part where he it didn't seem like he said he was making a judgment call for her. He wanted kids, she didn't yet, and then he was like, Okay, well, let's have kids then, and then she's like, No, we're not ready yet. So it's really that she wants the plan, she wants that stability and that foundation, but she's not yet understanding that she's that that's what she's asking for right there. Uh, because it it it connects back with her dad in a way.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, it does a good job at giving you clues and then connecting them all nicely.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it does. So I can see I can see that.
SPEAKER_07I know what you're really saying, even when you don't say it very often.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, you mean the two conversations thing, the one we're having and the one you think we're having.
SPEAKER_07You said that to my mother because you're mad at me for not wanting children yet, and because I'm no fun anymore, and because we don't have enough hot nasty sex, because I'm always bitching about bills. That's what you're really saying, isn't it? Why don't you just be honest and say it? Say what you mean.
SPEAKER_00All right. I wish we had more hot, nasty sex.
SPEAKER_02But uh yeah, so then he's so he's dead, uh, but he leaves notes and then they travel, and well, she goes to Ireland with her friends, but before then she's just doing things that remind them of their dates or moments together. And uh yeah, they go to Ireland, she bangs his friend. Um played by the yeah, I put that tactfully. Uh uh, why can't I remember his name? Jeffrey Dean Morgan. There we go. Yeah. And uh I guess that was an accident, but what a what a happy accident. It's it's a little dammy. Although Jeffrey Dean Morgan's very, very handsome and you know he's he's also very sweet in the movie.
SPEAKER_06He's not gross.
SPEAKER_02No, no, he's not gross at all. He's very sweet and affirming of her. Yeah, so that uh that's going on and all that time. She's kind of letting her personal life go because she's in her grief. But her friends are being there for her. And then also there's another guy who's the actor who plays the friend who's indoor.
SPEAKER_06Uh Henry or Henry. Yeah. No, Harry. Harry Connick Jr.
SPEAKER_02Okay. And yeah, so he plays the friend who's indoor. Uh the movie did do a psych out there with them. And I'm glad we ended as friends because I thought it would be not so good if they had this story of her moving past her grief, but then just it could be interpreted as a replacement.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. I liked that she didn't use a new relationship as a way of moving on from the dead husband.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_06They they let it turns out that they're better as friends. Which they both mutually agree, which is nice. Um, and then she has to actually deal with the grief. Because the entire time she, you know, husband dies, um, that sucks. But then she gets all these letters. And then there's kind of this area of is this a good idea? Is this healthy, or is this is healthy? And there's that kind of dynamic, especially with between her and her mother. Um and arguably it's not healthy because she's obsessed over these letters, which is understandable. So, but they run out. Now you have to grieve all over again. Round two. But they don't use a relationship for her doing that, which I appreciate.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they don't, and uh, that's good. It does psych you out though, so yes.
SPEAKER_06It was it was pleasant. It was a pleasant psych. Like, oh good.
SPEAKER_02I could see it embodying what people complain about in rom-coms uh about with it being very sentimental, and I could see people being like, oh, you know, blah blah blah, but also you know what? I live my heart on my sleeve, and that movie made me cry. It's a gooey movie. Oh, so gooey.
SPEAKER_06It's very, very sweet and gooey. So, which normally I'm not into.
SPEAKER_02And yet Monica the Magnificent seems to be endured this time.
SPEAKER_06Uh that movie, I don't it's just it's very sweet. I like all the actors. I like majority of the characters. Even Kathy Bates plays a mom who's a bit of a hard ass, in my opinion. Like, ease off a bit. Your your daughter just lost a husband. Um, and even then, you don't dislike her because she's a concerned mother. She just handles it differently, I guess. See what she does really good.
SPEAKER_02Um, really saves her character, like beyond reproach. Yes.
SPEAKER_03What happened?
SPEAKER_07When daddy left I was fourteen and I said never again, no man. I'm alone. It doesn't matter what job I have or what I do or what I don't do or what friends I am. You're not here. I'm not here. I mean you're alone no matter what.
SPEAKER_08That's right.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so that's fine, I think, or something like that. Lost out. I'm kind of dehydrated.
SPEAKER_04You just are shriveling.
SPEAKER_02Looking like the Nazis at the end of Indian Joe. Just tears blowing out of my face because I get all fucked in.
SPEAKER_05And it's just a very sweet movie.
SPEAKER_02I like it too. So I'm gonna give it. Do we have a are we going to rape movies? Oh, we could.
SPEAKER_06Um I give it uh five out of five rolling Irish Fields.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_06Uh boy, those shots are gorgeous.
SPEAKER_02It's a really pretty movie. I like all the shots in it. Um yeah, I will give it, you know, I'll I'll give it five out of five Jeffrey Dean Morgan's asses. Oh, that's way better than my score. Yours is good.
SPEAKER_06No, no, no, no, cut that one out. We're using yours. That's a way better rating system. That's gonna be the new rating system for all future movies. Doesn't even matter. That's gonna be it. So this movie, yeah, it's like two out of two out of five Jeffrey Dean Morgan asses. Well, no, no, I wasn't feeling it.
SPEAKER_02Because our last uh the last time we rated a movie, it was with the fake orgasm. So I'm like, let me just keep uh the theme of this, I guess.
SPEAKER_06I don't know. I'm I'm into the I'm into the Jeffrey Dean Morgan ass uh rating system. I think it's pretty I mean it's pretty accurate.
SPEAKER_02For all movies, all movies everywhere, everywhere is the perfect reading.
SPEAKER_06Jeffrey Dean Morganass. That's a hard one to say it five times fast.
SPEAKER_02That was four out of five Jeffrey Dean Morganassus.
SPEAKER_06I just meant Jeffrey Dean Morganass.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Jeffrey Dean Morganassis, Jeffrey Dean Morganassus, Jeffrey Dean Morganassus, Jeffrey Dean Morganassis, Jeffrey Dean Morganasses. I think I did it.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Well, I think we'll hoity toity. Look at you.
SPEAKER_05Look at me with your alliteration. That's the alliteration.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, but that was uh something.
SPEAKER_06That alliteration, articulation. That's the proper word.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's how I was sorry, I didn't mean to alliteration.
SPEAKER_06Nope, nope, that was the wrong word.
SPEAKER_02Uh but yeah, I do uh I do well also I'm gonna listen to this and see how bad that actually sounded because it felt right. But yeah, I like the movie. I liked it a lot. So five out five, Jeffrey Dean Morgan asses, and I it made me cry so much, and I will at the end, I don't know, I want to do a supercut now of me crying real quick. Okay, how long did we make it?
SPEAKER_03Nine minutes. Okay. Don't laugh at me. I'm sorry, I'm not laughing. No, maybe don't make it, I'm just Oh, damn you movie stop why I'm so emotional right now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. That's what God damn it. Was that four times already now? Fuck you, movie. Oh, yeah, that one actually got tearing from my cheek. Okay.
SPEAKER_06Did you cry? No. Not even Misty I no, I I've seen it before.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I've watched movies with you, I've seen before and I don't Yeah.
SPEAKER_06You know what? What gets me is old people crying. Uh animals.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I thought you were gonna do a roast on me. I was like, okay, we get ready.
SPEAKER_06These are what I to typically I find makes me cry in movies. Uh and um uh children, it you know, children upset at hurts my mama heart. Uh so those those usually are the are the ones that do it. The um I I don't know. I'm I was I haven't seen this movie since high school, but I remembered it pretty well. So I I think that was probably one of the reasons.
SPEAKER_02And you saw this movie with a friend of yours, if I remember correctly?
SPEAKER_06Um no, I saw this one on my own. Oh. I know, it was a rare moment.
SPEAKER_02Did you hear about Jeffrey Dean Morgan's ass and you're just like, I am I'm watching this?
SPEAKER_06No, I I had a huge crush on Gerard Butler.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_06So I was like, Gerard Butler in another movie, don't mind if I yes. And then I'm like, oh my god, he's so dreamy. Um, he's giving me the vapors.
SPEAKER_02He he really is throughout the movie. He's because he's consistently like he's like the safe wild, as in like he's not gonna do anything that actually messes with you, but he gets you to do things and live.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And he's so charming. Yeah, he's very charming, he's very sweet. I I don't know fully his dimensions. I will say he doesn't seem to have any bad side to him. Really, to me, like other than like maybe too many jokes, like at um not too many, but I mean we only see him alive you know, it's the exception of flashbacks, like once.
SPEAKER_06And then he's dead for the rest of the movie. Yeah. Um I think the only parts that were quote unquote bad, and it you know, it's just, you know, little tiny, in the end of the day, insignificant things. But him, Santa Cala, you're gonna be mad at me for. But yeah, don't say that when your wife is mad at you. Because now you've made her mad at you longer. Like, don't say that.
SPEAKER_02Um, you're gonna make me sleep in the tub.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. That yeah, yeah, yeah. Like it's an escalation. So, like little, little snippy remarks like that is it made them less perfect, which is not a bad thing.
SPEAKER_02No, yeah, it's not a bad thing. Uh nobody's perfect, so that was nice.
SPEAKER_06Or even like calling her out in front of a huge crowd to to dare her to go sing on stage, like I'd be pretty pissed too. Fuck you, Jerry. I'm not doing shit. I didn't want to be here tonight, and you're forcing me to get on stage and call me out in front of like a hundred people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06Well, he had moments, which is good.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Granted, she seems to enjoy that later, like think of it for a while.
SPEAKER_06But at that moment, she was like, I I can't blame her.
SPEAKER_02In her defense, she just like in the lot in the movie that she says, like, I just finished, like, I had a long day at work. Yep. And I have had those long days, as you have, where you the last thing I'd want to do is go out and karaoke in front of a bunch of people. I will karaoke, and half of my songs are going to be blondie covers. But uh it's gotta be the right time for it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, if you're not in the mood, if you're tired, you know, you don't want to do anything.
SPEAKER_02So yeah, uh, that was but yeah, like it's a really good movie, makes you cry a lot, and uh yeah, that's about all I have to really say about PS. I love you. Uh other than thanks for picking it, and thanks for it, and thanks for making me a little dehydrated.
SPEAKER_06You're welcome anytime. I've got lots of movies that'll destroy your heart. It's not hard to do, but I appreciate it. The next one, The Green Mile.
SPEAKER_02Oh no. Okay. No, no, no. Not again. I've seen it twice, I'm done.
SPEAKER_06No, that that that one makes me cry. I can't do that. I've only seen that movie once, never again.
SPEAKER_02Seeing it twice, and yeah, not I can not that second time was really bad. Eighty, oh Um, I could do that one again. That's fine.
SPEAKER_06I've only seen that movie once. And I was like five, and it destroyed my heart and my soul and my eyes, and I was like, I'm never watching this movie again, and I have it for the last 30 years.
SPEAKER_02Didn't the alien scene freak you out too, if I remember correctly? I don't remember much about the movie. Okay. I thought the scene well, that that's also really big, the alien scene and E.T. The scene where uh Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_06I know exactly what scene you're talking about.
SPEAKER_02I thought you you told me before, like uh or recounted like you when uh the girl screams and runs from him. Uh when she sees him, like E.T., uh that that freaked you out too at that age. I think.
SPEAKER_04But it'd be making it no.
SPEAKER_02No? Okay.
SPEAKER_04Nope.
SPEAKER_02Look at me, just casually being wrong.
SPEAKER_04No, that's someone else.
SPEAKER_02You whore.
SPEAKER_03How many friends do you have? You said that so quickly.
SPEAKER_06You son of a bitch. You whore?
SPEAKER_02There's something about calling someone a whore. That's just so funny. I mean you.
SPEAKER_06I paid my whore. I did send you five dollars for that, by the way.
SPEAKER_02Oh no. I sent you money after saying I paid my whore.
SPEAKER_06Yep. That's what I'm gonna put in the uh the description next time I send you money.
SPEAKER_02Please don't make my whore transaction. I oh god, that's gonna be hard to explain. Exactly. Oh no. Uh well, uh, do you wanna take us out then? I think we've talked about everything you can. Good movie, good director, GUI, uh Jeffrey Dean Morgan's ass.
SPEAKER_08Yep.
SPEAKER_02That's that's it.
SPEAKER_06That summarizes everything. Um, yeah. How did we decide to end this again?
