An authentic view of my prayer life to bring words of hope, revival, healing, and beauty from the dry/scorched seasons of life.
May every wasteland overflow with wildflowers. (Isaiah 35)

Lord, you are so gracious and kind. Your heart is so richly full of love. You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and you are also a loving father and a gentle and kind shepherd. You don't waver at our emotions. You don't waver at our thoughts. You are steadfast. Lord, thank you for being who you are. Thank you for being the one who is all-knowing and all-powerful, all-present. God, we are unworthy to be before you, Lord, but you call us worthy, and thank you, God, for that. Lord, pour out heart like Daniel had. Bold, trusting, fearless, consistent. Lord, give us consistency. That we would come before you consistently. Not when we feel ready. Not when there's time. Give us discipline, Lord. Let my heart come in line with that posture. That I would be disciplined to be in your presence. That it would be like taking a shower in the morning. That it would be part of my routine every day. And Lord, pour out blessing and your spirit and power through that. Lord, speak to your people. Open our minds to understand your word, to understand your scripture. God, that you would pour out a fresh understanding on us. Reveal the things that we have taken and interpreted with our own minds. God, we're not that smart. We're not all wise. Pour out wisdom and understanding so that we can see your word for the way that you intend us to see it, Lord. Don't let our minds hold back your words that you want to speak. Give us a boldness to accept the interpretation that you give us, Lord. Jesus, bring revival into our minds, revival into our hearts, but revival in the way that we think about things, and the way that we view this world, and the way that we view your word, and the way that I view you, Lord, bring revival. Bring a revival of understanding. A revival of understanding what your word means. When you speak, it is with all wisdom. And Lord, I want to understand that. Open our minds to understand. And God, unlock something new in us when we understand what your word means. And we understand what you are leading. When we understand what you're leading us towards, Lord. And God, don't let your word be tamped down by how we view it. Don't let your word be tainted with how we've been taught. Drench us with your Holy Spirit, Lord, so that we can understand in wisdom and in leadership for the pastors and the teachers that you have put in our lives. But God, give us an understanding for your word for ourselves. Redeem the things that we have learned that are not true of your word. Restore in us a clean mind, a clean heart. God, let amazing and awesome things be done when we see your word for what it is. Give us a hunger to be in your word, Lord. Your word speak life like it does. Let your word speak wisdom like it already does, Lord. We come before you, God, with open minds and open hearts this morning. Reveal your word to us, Lord. Speak clearly. Give us a spirit of understanding in Jesus' name.
