Lord, teach us to obey your word, even if we don't understand it, even if we don't feel it, even if we don't know why we are doing it. Teach us to hear your voice and to obey it, God. You have called us to a purpose, to an anointing, to an assignment. Lord, teach us how to tell our hearts and our minds to get in line with your will. Give us a desire for obedience. Heal the parts of us that want to be defiant towards you. Take away my desire for my own will, for my own thoughts. Your word says that your thoughts are higher than ours. God, let my mind be humble before you. Obedience to you is not optional. Just like we teach our children, Lord, let our hearts be humble in that way, that we will come before you in obedience, whether we understand it or not. We will call forth your will. We will speak boldly because you have proclaimed it. God, teach us your word and give us a desire and hunger to speak it. It's not our words, Lord. It's not my words here, it's yours. Speak through me, Lord. Give my heart humbleness to your will. I lay it all before you, Lord. Speak your will, speak your word through me, Lord. Speak your voice through this podcast, through these things that you've called me to, through my family, through my children, through my parenting. Pour out your voice, Lord. And pour out a new measure of obedience on us. Give us joy in that obedience. Give us willingness. Pour out a willing heart on your people. We know you have plans, Lord. We know you have a good purpose in all of this. Teach us to obey you. Pour out a humble spirit on your people, Lord. Give us the ability to see when we try to hold things too tightly. Give us a desire to see your will come and your kingdom be done here, not ours. Amen.
