A prayer over prodigal hearts ❤️🩹
Lord, it is heavy on my heart today to pray over these prodigal hearts. God, you know I have prodigal hearts in my own family. My brother, some of my children. Lord, your heart for them is so richly deep. You love them. Your word says that you do not delay your promise as we understand it, but you are patient, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance, Lord. Thank you for your heart and your compassion. You are patient, Lord. You don't grow out of your patience. Nothing turns you away from who you are. It's your nature to wait, Lord. Thank you that you wait, that you are patient for these hearts, God. We want them to come to you. You don't desire that any of them should perish, Lord. You are a compassionate God. You are kind, but you're also just. You know our nature, Lord. You know the defiance that we hold on to, God. Let defiance fall off in the name of Jesus from every prodigal heart. God, today let them see you. Let them see your power. Let it overshadow their hearts, the hearts that have been hardened. Visit them, cud in undeniable dreams. Pour out your spirit on them in a way that's so powerful. They have to see it for who you truly are, Lord. Not the version that's on the news, not the version that's on their social media. Let your name be honored, Lord, even by the ones who don't know you. Let your word come alive today to them, Lord. Let it come alive to the eyes that were once blinded. Open their ears to hear. Open their heartened hearts, God, to receive your powerful light. Let your light come into their dark places, God. Come into their loneliness, Lord, into their depression, their anxiety. The things that hold them from your presence. The things that hold them captive, God. Let your light come into their dark places and reveal your love and your compassion there. Your name is worthy, Lord. Your heart is purely love for them, for all of your people, Lord. Let your love be the thing that changes everything for them. Turn their hearts to you, Lord God, today. Amen.
