My heart cry this morning—to have patience in the presence of the Lord. He is worthy of my slowness. Let a banner of peace settle when we set aside our busy minds.
Lord, you are worthy of all praise. God, this morning my heart is longing to worship. This is not a day of request. This is not a day of fighting and battling. God, you are worthy of the songs that I sing and the praise that's on my lips this morning. You send rain and abundance. When you speak a word, when you speak a word, it never returns void. Every one of your promises have come to pass. There's not a single thing you have spoken that you have not done or that you will not do. Your presence is holy and perfect. Your presence, Lord, fills us with peace. It gives me strength for today. There's nothing like sitting here in the peaceful presence of you, Lord. All the world washes away. The struggles, the heartache. Let it settle in your name, Jesus. Let peace come into this place. Let this be a place of peace. Put a banner of peace over this place, Lord. There's coming a season when you will do everything you said you will do. The words that you have spoken to us in quiet will be seen. And God, we're holding on to that. Your word is always good and perfect. Lord, we want to see you move. We want to see your power and your glory, but it's not for us, Lord. It's for you and your name. For your name's sake, you move, Lord, because you are a great and awesome God. You don't rely on me. I could never bring anything to you that would bring something new. You created all things. By you they existed and were created, Lord. You are all-encompassing, all-wise. You are everywhere. You're present with me in every step that I take, whether I feel it or not. You don't change based off of my feelings and emotions. You don't change based off of the things that I see in front of me. When you speak, your voice thunders. When you stand, the earth shakes. Your name brings swift resolve. Let my heart hold on to that today, Lord, because I don't have to worry about you changing. I don't have to worry about you speaking a word and then backing down on it. Let my heart grow in confidence in the waiting, Lord. This time of waiting is to bring faithfulness to my own soul, to my heart. God, let this time do what it's meant to do. You will unfold in perfect timing everything you have spoken that will come to pass. Let your people carry a mantle of patience. And bring peace as we bring that patience, Lord. Let the fruit of your Holy Spirit be evident in our lives. That patience, Lord, it's from you. Let all striving cease here. We don't have to work harder. I don't have to work harder. I just have to be obedient to you, Lord, and to your presence. The call of your voice, Lord. Give us ears to hear. Don't let our confidence be shaken. God, give us faith to hold on, to not be disobedient and unfaithfulness, Lord. Let my heart long for you in this waiting. And let that be the only thing that is important in this season. I want to wait patiently on you, Lord. When you bring the rain, it's going to be in abundance. When you bring your powerful move, it's going to be in abundance. It's not going to be a small thing, Lord. Don't let me lose hope and confidence in what you're doing, because it's awesome. I don't want to be shaken here, Lord. Don't let me lose the confidence you gave me. Let your word go out before me. Let your presence be here, Lord. Settle on this place. Thank you, Lord, for your word that is spoken. Let my heart find that peace here in your word, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.
