Good morning and welcome to the poll list for Monday, June 15th, 2026. Before we get to the new books, here's a little history. On this day, back in 1941, the artist Neil Adams was born. So here's the thing. If you've ever looked at a Batman comic and felt the Dark Knight could step right off the page, that's Neil Adams. He and writer Denny O'Neill pulled Batman back into the shadows and gave us some of the sharpest superhero art the medium had ever seen. And here's a part a lot of readers miss. Adams spent years off the page fighting for other creators. His work helped Superman's creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster, finally win public credit and real support from their publisher. Not a bad legacy for One June morning. So what's the story everyone's actually reading right now? It's Marvel's big summer event, Avengers Armageddon, and it's shaping up to be the team's biggest shakeup in years. According to Marvel, it's a five-issue event written by Chip Zidarski with art from Frank Alpazar and Delio Diaz. The setup is wild. After Doctor Doom's defeat, Thunderbolt Ross has seized Latveria, renamed it New America, and he wants to spread his version of order worldwide. The Avengers and the Fantastic Four are racing to stop him, all while Steve Rogers is out of the fight. And Marvel says this leads straight into a brand new Avengers number one in November, from Zadarski and Marco Cicchetto. In other words, if you've wanted a jumping on point, this is the road that gets you there. And speaking of jumping on points, what's hitting shelves this Wednesday, June 17th? A few big ones. The book getting the most buzz is Spider-Man Long Way Home number one from Marvel. It's a five-issue saga from Jonathan Hickman and Adam Kubert, and it throws Peter Parker together with The Hulk and The Punisher, all chasing the same dangerous prize. A creative team like that on a first issue is exactly what collectors watch for. So if you want one, a pre-order is the safe play. Right alongside it, the Trillion Dollar Kid number one from Image and Ghost Machine. This one's from Jeff Johns, Peter Tomasi, and artist Stefano Simeone. It introduces a 13-year-old trillionaire who goes hunting for a team of heroes called the Unbelievables, and it doubles as Ghost Machine's very first crossover. So it's a real cornerstone for that line. It's a two-issue story, which means the print run is worth keeping an eye on. Rounding out the most talked-about books for Wednesday, Absolute Batman number 21 keeps DC's reinvented Dark Knight in the conversation. Superman Unlimited number 14 lands just as the Man of Steel heads back to theaters this month, and Something Is Killing the Children number 48 continues one of the best horror runs going. We can pre-order the two new number ones for you. The rest are worth grabbing at the shop. For the spec corner, I'll point you back to that long way home number one. Hickman launches have a habit of climbing in value over time. And a Kubert-drawn debut on a flagship character is the kind of book people wish they'd grabbed early. I'm not promising a winner, nothing's guaranteed, but it's the one I'd personally keep a clean copy of. Now, the rumor mill, and the usual reminder, this is unconfirmed, and you should treat it as rumor until someone official says otherwise. There's chatter, rounded up by superhero hype, traced to a social media scooper, about surprise hero cameos in the climax of the upcoming Avengers Doomsday film. Nothing's confirmed by Marvel, so enjoy it as speculation and nothing more. On the collection shelf, two handsome books stand out this month. There's the Commandy Omnibus gathering Jack Kirby's full run on The Last Boy on Earth, and a new Teen Titans Artist Edition showing off George Perez's original art in oversized form. Both are the kind of book you clear a little shelf space for. That's your briefing. If this helped, do us a favor, subscribe wherever you listen, and come find us on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Just search Epic Panels Comics.
