these moments where we're like, God, what is your part and what is ours? 00:09:46.480 --> 00:09:50.080 And so they get ambitious and they go, okay, maybe we need to do the rest. 00:09:50.159 --> 00:09:51.840 And listen, ambition is a good thing. 00:09:52.320 --> 00:09:58.799 I believe that when God gives you something to steward, when he gives you something to manage, and you have ambition for it, I believe that God smiles upon that. 00:09:58.879 --> 00:10:01.919 But here's the thing the ambition can never precede God's permission. 00:10:02.159 --> 00:10:06.720 Because ambition without sometimes the problem that we run to run into is trusting God in the process. 00:11:10.720 --> 00:11:14.399 And so if we're gonna journey from here to there, listen, we're gonna need to trust God. a little bit pretentious because I'm reading the story about Abraham, and I see where God literally shows up to Abraham, and he's like, Abraham, I'm going to give you all of this. 00:11:39.759 --> 00:11:42.480 I just need you to have faith, and I need you to trust me. 00:11:42.720 --> 00:11:45.840 And I read this and I go, Abraham, you couldn't have waited more than 10 years. 00:11:46.000 --> 00:11:46.559 Let's be honest. 00:11:46.639 --> 00:11:49.360 Some of us we ask God for something and we can't wait more than 10 minutes. 00:11:49.440 --> 00:11:53.360 So let's set our pretension aside, and let's actually read this for what it is. 00:11:53.519 --> 00:11:55.759 So, Sarai and Abram, they're in this moment. 00:11:55.840 --> 00:11:58.480 I want us to actually put ourselves in Sarai's And so also, too, if she did not bear a child for Abram, then she was considered cursed. 00:12:16.399 --> 00:12:19.279 And so she goes, Okay, maybe, maybe, maybe I'm the problem. 00:12:19.759 --> was also a man, and Jesus was a carpenter, and so Jesus He built things with His hands, so He put things together in a specific way, in a specific order, and a specific time, and when the time was
