SPEAKER_02

My name is Sam Russell. My name is Jaden Robbins, and this is Create Your Story. Just a quick disclaimer before we start. Or book an appointment with your GP and talk about a mental health care plan today. That's true. We're on.

SPEAKER_04

We're on early Thursday morning. He's already in the lollies. I'm having a fucking mentor today. That's why I'm having it. Blues got a everyone that down this, including myself. You can all get fucked. Brah. How good. Yeah, look, I didn't even. I was saying to the boys yesterday, and I think I talked to a few people, but I was like, it doesn't even feel like origin yesterday. I think it's because we're always the under uh we're never the underdogs, so we're always getting hyped up saying we should win this, we should do that. Yeah, no, I wasn't expected to win at all. No, not up there. No. But guess what? We fucking did. And we took that shield home.

SPEAKER_02

And if anyone out there wants to turn around now and say Nathan Clear, he's he doesn't do it in big games, that was a pretty big game. He's done it. Game three, Suncourt, become the equal top um most points by an individual in a decider. Why didn't they take that two at the end? If he took the two, he would have been top. I don't know why they didn't.

SPEAKER_04

Fuck it, we don't need it. Yeah, we don't need it. I don't even think he would have we're talking about it at the end there. I don't even think he would have realised that that was a thing because he wouldn't think he was gonna score two tries.

SPEAKER_02

And New South Wales top point scorer all time. That's wild.

SPEAKER_05

Hmm.

SPEAKER_02

But I suppose we've had some pretty big wins where he's a goal kid. Yeah, true. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But uh anyway, we've we've we've got that shield and we're coming back. Hopefully the boys are ripping in up there.

SPEAKER_02

Bro, that's like when we did it a couple of years ago when we won the decider up there. Yeah. And um that was the first time since like 04 or something. So but I think we've won four of the last six games in s at Suncorp now.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I don't think Queensland really get origin in Suncorp, that's all it's all fucking is, eh? It's not hard.

SPEAKER_02

No, but to be honest, I was I was a bit sus on Laurie Daly's selections.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, a hundred percent.

SPEAKER_02

But um I think everyone was I think I feel like his strategy, his like in-game strategy was a lot better this year. Um, this game. Like Payne laid that platform, we were up 12-nil, and then he put Fanawell Blake on. But I still think Fanel Blake probably played five minutes too long in that second half. He should have just quickly changed it. And Brad, do you know what was really pissing me off in that second half? Um, we kept kicking the Cobbo. He'd run back at the line 100 miles an hour, skittle three blokes and get a quick play of the ball. I'm like, cuz Jojo's dropped about three footies. Yeah, let's kick it to him for once. Nah, Cobo was strong, series A.

SPEAKER_04

That try they he scored was just luck, but yeah, I know. That that happens, it always happens to them. Just ball ends in their fingers. But nah, shout out to the boys and Laurie Daily. I know I bagged you out, but it was good to see him get a win. Yeah, I wonder if I can find this press conference. I can't imagine how much how hard it'd be fucking just copping slack all the time. Like we seen him in the in the pre-game interview with Joey, I think it was, in the sheds. He just looked drained, bro.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, you know what the coach does? The coach drives it. So just just frustrates me. Just frustrates me a lot. Um but the coach sits the time, the coaches um talk to his coaches about how they want to implement plans. Um some of the stuff that's been written still to me. Come on. Um but anyway. Hopefully, um hopefully those parts probably have a decent look at themselves. Oh, it wasn't about the last laugh, I was just about these parts probably the best I possibly thought. Well, I don't even come to a training station and won't find up to press conference. Where are they? Well, you know what? You know what? I'll see. I'll see. I guess that's not if you'll put it after after. Sometimes things are played with intermediate, so I'd love to know where that comes from. Um how it all worked. Um Yeah, but when you when you put a lot into a game and put a lot into um trying to be the person you are. Um it's not probably rare, but um hoping it happens to you one day.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no. If you lost I've always said he's the greatest coach of all nickname.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, hopefully he signs another. Nah, nah, he's done, he's done. But it was good to see him get the win, but yeah, still questionable decisions.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think um Braddy Best, he's a game three specialist. Yeah, put it in his name, eh? Like, there's certain players you just gotta pick him in origin. Like he's one of them Steven Crichton, just defensively, and there was a couple reads there that there was too much space, he just got burnt. He did he did a read real early where he cut in on Cape Well, yeah, and um Cobo, it was it Cobbo, yeah, he had a break, but he slipped over and went in the touch. Yeah. They I thought they would have gone down that side a bit more.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um but he's just like that. Martin's probably another one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You just gotta pick him. Yeah, he brings that that bit of dog fuck. You know what I mean? Like I was worried about Huddy early on because I thought, oh, he's gonna get himself button. Yeah, and you need that button. Yeah. You need that.

SPEAKER_04

Straight out of greater Brankston. Hey. All the Maitland boys stepping up, Payne, Hardy, all of them. But no, it was mad to see, but I think just the the the quick play the balls at Payne gets and off the back of that, and I think Robson was really good too. It was really good. Um getting actually getting out of dummy half. I think there's so much that's where you get those six agains, or you get that sort of off-the-cuff play when you're when you're scooting out a dummy half. It's not just like bang past it. Yeah. But nah, look. Stoked. It was mad. It's good to get the win.

SPEAKER_02

Up in Queensland. No, it's good. We I like I said, I wasn't expecting it. Moses' kicking game was pretty good. Race. Just banging him long, eh? He's got a massive boot on him, eh? There was that one decision that we got this we clearly put a grab root and we got a six to get like six six to go. And Moses tried to go down the blind. Could give it away in worse places. We could have pumped him.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Well, I think it would have just gone easy on the counter. They made it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they just don't get origin. Fuck not really rocket science, is it? Yeah, score more points than the other team. Um and I feel like when you got players like Reese Walsh on the bench and you start losing, there's kind of too many options. They like pulled Ponger off, they put him in there. Yeah, I don't know what was happening there. Like they had to pull Walker off for a head check.

SPEAKER_04

Like, there was a bit going on. I look, I was a bit scared when I when you see Walker, I mean, when you see Ponger and Walsh in the same field, you're like, fuck. But I don't, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

We lose Bostok and Teddy, the HIAs. Like that's pretty resilient from our boys.

SPEAKER_04

When you've got every single pretty much every single um position on the bench bar. Well, once collar come on, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, that's right. So nah, all in all, good win by the boys, eh? Good win, eh? What else you been doing? Nah, it's just been a busy week. Nadoc. Nadoc, huh? Nadock, Monday, Tuesday. Um cruise along, did some stuff there yesterday. But nah, it's been a busy week. Sort of shooting this potty. I'm pretty tired to be honest.

SPEAKER_02

I think staying up that late there after origin win. Yeah, good's luck after an origin win, particularly at a cider. And after the game finishes, you just go and lay in bed and you're on your phone, you're just reading all the comments and riling people up.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and you all your stories, you just have run sharing origin stuff. Yeah, it's good. I love that. Yeah, there's nothing worse than when it's the other way around. Yeah, I was about to say it's even worse. Now what you're watching all the awards and shit, you're like, how good is this? Then yeah, if it was Queensland line. I'll turn it straight off the Queensland line. Fucking dogs. What have you been doing? How's your week been?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, flat out. We just had a few Nadox. We had a stall yesterday at Singlo, so shout out to that mob up there. That was good, it was a good day. Um, busy day, but yeah, we just um went up there, had a bit of a stall, and I drove the van up, which was good. Holy, I don't trust you driving that. Hey, that's me. Um but yeah, it's it's such a big week, you kinda get to the end of it, and you're like, oh, because like you know, you got I was like only saying the other day, like, there's some people um that you have like a lot of time and and respect for, but I swear you only see him on 8 okay because you're just so busy through the year.

SPEAKER_04

And it's like I found it hard, especially like during the march and stuff, like when I was marching, I'd see so many people I want to I know, but it's hard to talk to them in that setting as well. Um and you sort of want to get around to everyone and have a yarn tour.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Um but no, it's been good, it's been busy, like you said. Um, but we got um fills your cup up, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Minders family fun day tomorrow. Yeah, no, I can't go there because I'm fucking going away for work. True.

SPEAKER_04

Hopefully the rain stays away. Are you going Ballinar? Going up to Ballinor just for this weekend and then I'll have a gonna have next weekend off. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we got I was telling Yelboy there, but um we got indigenous round at Pickers is Saddy. So you go over a yeah, hopefully.

SPEAKER_04

Nah, that's good. It'll be a good day. Paul's on a good week. It would be mad if they played the hawks, I reckon. Yeah. If they played the hawks on Indigenous round. Yeah, play legs.

SPEAKER_02

Fucker. So yeah, do that on the weekend, but I don't know, bro. That's that's been the week. It's just it's good to have today as a bit of we'll restock all of our stuff and whatnot, just do a few odd jobs, but cruiser down there.

SPEAKER_04

But fuck. I don't know, yeah. It does you sort of just gotta roll the punches for Nadock and just keep going, but it does fill your cup up, but it also drains a little bit as well. Yeah. Yeah. And then we head to Sydney next week. Yeah, nations. Nations of origin, me and semi, coaches down there.

SPEAKER_02

I got your gear in my car. Yeah. If anyone if anyone wants a nations polo or hoodie, send through an offer and I might be able to sell jibs. Yeah, signed by me. Whoever wants it. No, I'm looking forward to that. I reckon um we might try and take the mics down and do a bit of content. Yeah, I hit them up. I hit them up and they said yeah. Yeah. They said there's stuff, so I'm gonna take some mics down, we can get some boys on the we'll do the create we'll do the create your story. We'll do a bit of a mic'd up on a training session or something. Mic'ed up, eh? Mic'd up at the zoo. Mic'd up at the zoo, jib at the zoo. Hey, back home. Where I belong. Jib in the enclosure.

SPEAKER_04

The zoo.

SPEAKER_02

I don't even know if I've I don't even know if I've been to a zoo before. Yeah, well, this is not Toronto, it's Sydney. Oh, Sydney's, isn't it? Yeah. I'm not going there. Um yarding about how I'm actually excited because I think all like so what it is, it's PCYC, so it's nations.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um, but all the PCYC clubs that are involved in it, they all come to the zoo. Um and you go. Oh, really? Yeah. So you There'll be heaps of people there. Yeah, you get like um two hours to just free walk around essentially. Yeah. And then um and then yeah, yeah. And then it's like everyone has dinner together at five, but then you do cultural exchanges. Yeah, right. So every club has to provide something cultural. So dances, um, things like that, where providing an artwork, yeah. Well, and then you exchange it with another PCYC. Like, yeah, I think so. That's pretty cool. Or or like you we just give it to someone, but they're obviously the dances are different, but Yeah, yeah. That's pretty good. It'd be hard it's a bit hard to orchestrate a dance with 48 kids, so we'll just do an artwork, but I'm keen to see what people come up with. No, that'll be good. I didn't know it was like that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so cruise down there Monday um to play Tuesday, Tuesday all day, and then Wednesday morning, I believe. Yeah, I think so, yeah. I think that's how it works. But no, it'll be good. Depends how we go. Depends how we go, yeah. Easy. But no, I mean, Sammy, you just thought, I don't know, there's a lot of young people in our community here in Maitland. Um that Maitland, well, Monaro haven't had a side in a while. Yeah, so a lot of people that we know too. So yeah, a lot of families and a lot of young people in the team that we know, and um I guess we want to sort of build something from here and from the ground up for Wonderville to be a bit stronger in that sort of sense with the PCYC Nation.

SPEAKER_02

It's a good opportunity for the young people to go down and represent their their community and get some kit and play footy. Hey. So in the school holidays too.

SPEAKER_04

I'm looking forward to it. No, it'll be good. No, I'm looking forward to it. Stay down there in Penruff, I believe.

SPEAKER_02

So Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It'll be good, bruh. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um then kit wee. We'll just um shout this out. So I guess for anyone that is interested, um, there is like some Wesley Life Force suicide prevention training. So obviously, you'd like you do a bit with you matter. I think I'm probably gonna jump on the board as well. Yep. Um, and they're providing that Wesley Life Force there, are providing free, it's free for everyone that wants to be involved. So um they've got two sessions. Thursday, the 13th of August is um East Maitland Bowling Club, 9 to 1.30. So we might be able to put the link somewhere, we'll post it or something. But um I think that and then there's another one, I think it's on the Friday, the 14th of August, um, same time, but it's at Ruddho.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Is it Maitland City?

SPEAKER_04

No, I believe it's the the community centre that they do that program.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, man. So um it's free training, and I think for if you if you got some time available on that Thursday or that Friday, I reckon you should go check it out because we always talk about um what you don't what people a lot of people don't realise unless unless they've been kind of like struggled with mental health or seen people that have struggled with mental health is it's not the psychologists and the counsellors and the actual people like that that deal with it on the ground, it's everyone else. Like, you know, it's you it's it's the friend, it's the mum, it's the dad, it's the cousin or you know, like the partner or something. So it's just good to go and upskill yourself in in that suicide prevention. And um I remember I've done like a heap of different kinds of that training, but it's always good just to yarn about what the current um appropriate l like language is to use and what you should say to someone that is struggling, and um I think that when someone is in that crisis situation, the way you speak to them or what you say to them could be, you know, a reason why they don't um go through with that plan.

SPEAKER_04

So and I think with the probably the cohort that listened to this potty is like sort of um that our sort of age as well that mate might struggle to have that conversation. Like if you see a mate struggling and you sort of know it and you you you can see that um I guess this training's designed to be able to have those conversations or how to at least start those conversations. And for me, I thought I did it not I don't know if it was last year, it might have been the year before I did the training, and it was good because you had people from all different experiences there and telling their story and what um how what they've yet done or or what they've used um to help them or someone else. So if you're out there, me and Sam will be attending the my uh the Thursday one at East Maitland. So if even if you want to come along with us, just sing us a message. Um be more than happy for you to come along. But I think it's very valuable for anyone um to sort of jump on and and check it out, I reckon. Yeah, for sure. It's the go. Well, so we're gonna do some facts. Yeah, I actually I struggled with this because I swear I had heaps of facts and I thought you know how you hear cool facts, you're like, oh yeah, I'll remember that.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I don't remember fuck all.

SPEAKER_02

The one I don't know if I've told this on the potty before, but have I told the yarn about like the Canberra number plates? No. So I was told this when I was in Canberra. Is it fact or cap? Oh I was told this when I was in Canberra for E6. Um must have gone down there. It was actually active Matt. It's mad. Yeah, because we um we went down and you know how you go to Parliament House? Yeah. Yeah, well like a week before we went, we're at school, they all call us into this room and they're like, um we have some exciting news to share. Um, but we need to do some like safety briefings, like when we go to Parliament House on that day, um it's the same day that Barack Obama was flying into the country, so he's gonna be at Parliament House. That's wild. Um so bro, like spin out. Didn't say him, but yeah, I shook his hand. No, you didn't. Swear mum's cars. Mum's. Do you got any photos? I got photos of it. I don't have photos of me shaking his hand. I'm six years old with a fucking disposable Kodak and wasn't allowed in there. But bruh, we're walking to Parliament House. Do you have heaps of seckies and shit? Yeah, bro. We're walking to Parliament House. I'm a 12-year-old kid from Dungog. I'm looking around going, that's a sniper rifle on the roof. Like, just a guy sitting up there, there's like people everywhere. But have we got the kids from Dungog coming in now? Have I keep an eye on them? Bruh, so you go through security and they full check you down. Um, our president, our prime minister of our school, our school captain, she was of African American descent. He basically, we're all just got our arms reached out like that. Um, he walks past, he shakes everyone's hands. Um she ducks under everyone, gets to the front, she looks at him, she's like, Can I have a hug? And he gives her a hug. Bang, brah, like that is news everywhere. Um True. Yeah, cause like That's pretty wild, eh?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I'll show you, bruh. Um Dungong High School meets Barack Obama. Who is our prime minister then, Kevin? Julie Gillard, I think.

SPEAKER_02

Dungog Girl Snakes hug from President.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, so he's not lying.

SPEAKER_02

True.

SPEAKER_04

Chelsea Gallagher. Shout out. Shout out Chelsea, that'd be I'd be talking about that all the fucking time. Right, it's mad.

SPEAKER_02

And like, um There you go, eh? 2012. They got all the news out of the out there. Um fuck that's wild, mate.

SPEAKER_04

You might be able to see like Sammy somewhere.

SPEAKER_02

True. But they were taking like all these interviews and everything. Um, and then so we went there, I was like a spin out, it was mad. Um the next morning we go to breakfast at our little hotel, and um the chicks like the teachers like we've had Sunrise call up and the Today Show, and they did want to do an interview at Federation Square or whatever, the park or whatever, near Parliament. So we're gonna draw out 20 names, I think, from the hat for the year, and they're gonna go with Chelsea um to there to do like a little thing. And I was one of the 20. Oh, it was mad. It was a good experience. Um straight on. But what I was gonna say was the bus driver told us this fact. I did some Googling last night and I found that they don't really there's nothing to confirm it being true. But you know, this part this part's true that all camera number plates start with Y. True. Mm, and he told us it was because the two roads and then the main road on Parliament House. Oh, because they can because they go like Y. Yeah. Yeah, right. But if you have a look at a camera number plate, they all start with Y. Next time I'm down in Canberra, I have to do that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so that's that's a little fact. Well I put one to test actually last night. Only because I was looking at one of me and Ali were making pizzas and she reckons that if you wet a paper towel and put it right near the onion that you cut and your eyes don't water.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It didn't well, it did water. So it actually worked. So if you're out there cutting onions, red onions, um, I feel like it just depends on the the onion, really. Sometimes they're fucking potent, sometimes they're not. But look, I chopped half an onion with not the sharpest knife, and it didn't fucking hurt my eyes. So if you're out there, suss the paper towel out and let me know. But I had way more, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But um, and then I was trying to find them, and then no one, I can't find any. Well, I was looking at um I was seeing this video on this podcast the other day, and this guy told the maddest yarn about a fact, and then the other guy's like, oh, that makes my fact look silly. And he's like, What's your fact? And he's like, Shaquille O'Neal's only ever shot one. I've seen that video actually.

SPEAKER_04

Whatever he told I do remember that because I was mad. I feel like the Shaquille O'Neal one even is pretty good, but then it fucked that up. Whatever he told was so good. Can you type it in on TikTok on that? I don't know what to type in. Just say Shaquille O'Neal fact. Yeah, right. No, I do remember seeing that video. But let's try fucking nah, they're all fucked. Five facts about Shaquille O'Neal and that. Yeah. If I have one more lolly, I'm gonna I'm gonna skits.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna be on a skits mission. Yo, I couldn't find the video again. I thought I might have saved it, but I didn't.

SPEAKER_04

I thought it was way easier to find facts. Maybe that's a fact. It's hard to find facts. It's hard to find actually half decent facts.

SPEAKER_02

You wanna play a game? Yup. Two truths and a lie. Yeah. There you go. Come out with them.

SPEAKER_04

God is fucking put it straight on me. You've obviously thought of something. No, I haven't. Um that's red hot. Two truths and a lie, right now. Um fuck. You go first. Right now.

SPEAKER_02

Um I never I never been overseas. My nan is Chinese and my um grandfather is um well, no, I gotta go again because I just told three truths.

SPEAKER_04

Fucking I mean you think we would have done some more research of this. I was gonna say I knew the first one was right and then I know the second one I thought the second one's a liar. Might have been you thinking yours too liar? Yeah, I am boy, I've got 'em. Oh, you go there. Two truths and a liar. Um my middle name's Harrison Harrison. Um I refed footy for I refed um footy before and pi and worked at Maccas, that was my two jobs when I was younger. And I was school captain in primary school.

SPEAKER_02

Harrison.

SPEAKER_04

What about it?

SPEAKER_02

That's not true.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Jaden Harrison right, what it doing. I was thinking of a fucking random name there. Thought I did alright. Um, alright, we'll go. Fucking thinks of the game and doesn't even know.

SPEAKER_02

We'll go with um. I got two middle names. My nan's Chinese, and I have once travelled over uh upper into Cairns before. Yeah, you don't have two middle names, bud. Yeah, I do. I do. Yeah, actually. Yeah, Samuel E, Nathan Russell. True. I've never been to Cairns boy. Fucking. My nan is actually an Aboriginal Chinese bra. Hectic. There's actually a few of them.

SPEAKER_04

And you know, I want to know why. Well me then. Nah, well, a while but this is only from you know where um like outpass Maureen stuff, a lot of the Chinese come over here and was pushed out to them like remote Aboriginal communities. So there's a lot of Aboriginal Chinese getting around. Yeah, it's been at some games. We need to do some more um research. Yeah, this was a bit of a random pod because we already recorded on Monday. Yeah. And now it's Thursday. This is app nine too. App nine, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

We'll try and get someone on for app ten.

SPEAKER_04

Hey, when I fucking post it on Instagram, can someone can you fucking engage or I'm gonna start skitching out? No fucking point listening near if you're not gonna engage with the Instagram. Proper. Share it out.

SPEAKER_02

Pull your heads in.

SPEAKER_04

Pull your fucking heads out your ass. Nah, but I think it's been look. Did someone send in a fact or not? Yeah, I did. Nine apps in, but or actually I've got a fact. Keep talking for a bit.

SPEAKER_02

No, I've got a mad one. It's not yours, but no.

SPEAKER_04

I'm gonna stop chilling chip. We've done nine episodes on our potty. Around 90% of podcasts don't make it past three episodes. Roughly 75% never reach ten episodes. So we are currently in the top three percent in the whole world. The podcast. Getting on here and talking shit. That's hectic. It's been good. But yeah, we're thinking every tenth episode we're gonna get a um guest on. Sort of someone local, I reckon, that's got a bit of a story. Or or just can come on and spin a good yarn. Well, my cousin replied and said it's a fact I'm the better-looking cousin. That's that's no fact. But got one here. The oldest customer complaint in the world is nearly four thousand years old. Google EA-NASA. True. I wanna just Google it. Wait, what was it again? It was the oldest customer complaint in the world is nearly four thousand years old. They told me what to Google. EA NASA We got scammed.

SPEAKER_02

There's five colours that appear in every flag in the world.

SPEAKER_04

White? Wait, what? Yeah Well, there's only five colours used.

SPEAKER_02

Like Yeah. Yeah, they appear in every flag in the world. These five colours.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah. Red.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_04

White. No. Black. Yeah. Green.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yellow?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Blue. Yeah. That's why they're chosen as the colours to represent the Olympic rings.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. Was that it? Yeah. Was that your actual fact that you were talking about the whole time? Yeah. Nah, I'm just saying. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I always go to I remember when I was doing stuff in school, I was like, oh, you know what Aimu and the kangaroo are the um what is it? What are you talking about? The um, is it the kangaroo and the emu that are the coat of arms? Yeah. Yeah, because they can't walk backwards. True. Yeah, because we just keep moving forward.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Create your story and just fucking keep the time.

SPEAKER_02

That's a lot of emu and that is the but I got like nothing infuriates me more than people that just say the dumbest stuff that I'm like, have you even thought about that? Yeah. Like, how can a country be in debt? Why don't we just print more money? I'm like, do you understand that? Like, that's just gonna drive the dollar down.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I might start printing money, but if anyone's gonna want to print it out there or something like that, I might start printing.

SPEAKER_02

Or they're like, I don't understand why people wouldn't about fuel prices because I put $50 in, I still put $50 in. It's still $50. I'm like, cuz you get less fuel, you put more $50 in.

SPEAKER_04

Maybe back then tomorrow we're doing the same thing. Fucking fuel prices. Yeah, they're fucking going down anyway.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, well, they're going back up a little bit because they got rid of the tax.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I fucking want to drive in a ball and it takes it out of you, out of your fuel. Wait, that's a mad drive, but oh no, that's a fucking that's a fucking lie. It's the shit that's dry.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what's your do you have um just like a negative you want to talk about from the week? One thing that pissed you off. Cause I got one.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I want to say, but I don't I I don't think I can drive this bookie.

SPEAKER_02

Mine is Telstra. Get your shit together, cuz. How do you have so many outages? Well, that didn't even affect me, eh? Are you Telstra?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Where were you yesterday?

SPEAKER_04

Fucking cruising at Mount Huntington.

SPEAKER_02

Doing what? Work stuff.

SPEAKER_04

No, I went to the yeah, work stuff and then went to the gym in the morning. And then well no, I didn't really check my phone in the morning. No, but then I seen like there's a massive outage, but it doesn't affect me. I I pay that good that good Telstra.

SPEAKER_02

That was like it happens so much. It's wild.

SPEAKER_04

It's how does it happen?

SPEAKER_02

What are you doing?

SPEAKER_04

What the fuck are you doing up there in Telstra Box?

SPEAKER_02

Like, and there was so many triple zero calls that didn't go through. 300.

SPEAKER_04

I thought that doesn't matter. Doesn't it?

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_04

I thought if my phone was an aeroplane mode, I can still ring Triple Zero.

SPEAKER_02

And what about this um thing they're sending out on the 27th of July?

SPEAKER_04

That alert thing. Yeah, and they've I've seen posts saying like if um you have like a safe phone. A safe phone and stuff like that, it'll still go off even if it's turned off. Have they done that before? Like an alert like that? What's the point is it to know that they're all fucking tracking us all while Yeah, probably know how many phones there are. Scamming cunts.

SPEAKER_02

Um also if this might be this is something that I found out the other day, but might be useful. Um I think before the end of this year, it might even be in effect now, but you can um transfer across your rental bond to another property.

SPEAKER_04

Really?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so for example, I'm renting at the moment, you're renting at the moment, if you decide to move into a new joint, instead of waiting for them to pay your bond out, then use that bond to pay that bond, you can just digitally transfer it across and then pay the excess if you have to. Or get a refund on the excess if you have to.

SPEAKER_04

How does other people get their bond back? Or if you're through a real estate.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, right. True, that's alright. Wait, can I say a negative? People that have fucking think they're too entitled, eh? Like just like at the cafe or somewhere and they just they're just rude as fuck.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, people that don't say hello when you say hello to them.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's another one. I fucking did the thing and I've done it a couple of times, like I was in New We going for a run, and I'm like, fuck this. I'm gonna say hello to every single person that doesn't have headphones in pretty much.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And see who says hello back, and you just you sometimes you get fuck all fuck them.

SPEAKER_02

This wasn't a question in our office the other day about what's what's like a what's a unwritten rule that you have that isn't an actual rule, or like what's a law that you'd bring in, like a small one. Mine was um if you're at if you're at the shops and you're on a travelator thing, escalator, firstly, don't stand still, just keep walking. Like you get a mad opportunity to walk quicker than you normally would, keep walking. Secondly, when you get off the escalator, if you see someone that you haven't seen for ages and you want to have a yarn, don't do it as soon as you get off the escalator because everyone else is coming, they've got to get off the escalator, step to the side. Get the fuck out of the way. That goes in general. If you're gonna stop and yarn to people, step to the side, get out of my way. I've got stuff to do, and going to the shops for me is is already like a triggering. It's just like there's two types of people. Someone will go shopping, they'll walk around all day and they'll look at things and they'll spend six hours in there and they'll buy one thing. That's my missus, that's what she likes to do. Then there's me. I'm like, all right, before we go, what are we going for? This, this, and this. What shops are we going? Bang, bang, bang. And I'll just go and I go to them shops and I get it out of there.

SPEAKER_04

And most of the time I go to them shops, I'm like, fuck, I can't really be fucked. I'll just go.

SPEAKER_02

You know how many times I've been like, oh, I'll get paid and I'll go shop and get some new clothes and that I get there and I'm like, can't be fucked, can't be fucked.

SPEAKER_04

Get something else completely different.

SPEAKER_02

In um a funny story, like me and my mate, that my mate that um passed away in 2019. Um we used to go to Green Hills, we'll drive in there, like, yeah, we'll go shop and we'll get some clothes and that. We'll get the Green Hills. He'd be like, Mmm, can't really be bothered. He'll go and get a haircut, get a haircut, and then we'll just end at the George. Oh. Just just betting on heads or tails on keynote.

SPEAKER_04

No clothes aboard.

SPEAKER_02

Nah.

SPEAKER_04

No, I'm fucked for it. Like, I'll go up there with it. I don't need a new jumper on you, and then I'm like, nah, okay, fuck. Just get a new clone or something.

SPEAKER_02

Wait, if you want a new jumper, um is it narrable? Nurable, yeah. Yeah, they're black ones with the pink, they're fresh.

SPEAKER_04

They lost 10k worth of stock at the new E. Now the the tent. Yeah. Apparently they lost heaps of stock as well got wet. Real. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Just discounted half to the mob.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, USHG one.

SPEAKER_02

I seen the gazebo was like half down.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, if you any sponsors out there. They're good for sponsors, eh?

SPEAKER_02

Sitting here talking shit. Nah, I've got a positive, but some gratefuls. Let's do some gratefuls.

SPEAKER_04

I've got a positive. So, um, for those that don't know, can you see me?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I can hear you.

SPEAKER_04

For those that don't know, um, probably the last three to four months, I've probably been working casually and like doing stuff on my own business. Um, and I'm one that really is massive on routine. So when I was working nine to five, I'd have my routine down pat, training five times five to six times a week, up before work, steps after, had it all in, you know. And then obviously going to do your own stuff and working different hours. That there's no set time really through a spinner in the works. So I was trying for ages. I took a step away from my my coach, my PT, um, but I've just restarted back with him on Monday. Um, and he's someone that for those that don't have one or are unsure about it, he's someone that um because I was one of them, like I was unsure about at the start. And I was like, oh fuck, like do I need that or I can't afford that when I was spending money on fucking piss. Um, but it's someone that holds me accountable in so many different aspects of my life, like it's obviously nutrition and and training, but um, I feel like if them two things are on point, everything follows suits. Yeah, your sleep's good, you're more productive. Um yeah, I I'm staying off the piss because I'm with him, you know what I mean? So so many different things fall in place. And I had a good yarn to him, shout out Tyler on Monday um for about an hour, just discussing all things life. It wasn't even things related to that, just sort of a few goals, but also um just checking in on each other. And um yeah, I I think it's been it's been something that obviously I I was gonna do after Bali, so I was always keen to sort of get back and do it. Yeah, so it's just been good meal preps done, straight up, been training, and like we've trained three times this week. Yeah, that's a bit of a positive going into it. So I'm grateful for people that um and he's honestly someone that I've one of the only people that I've met, well not one of the only people, but one person that I've met that is just so passionate about his job. Like he's just so and he's so good at it, bro. Like everything that he does um comes from a good place, it's the way he speaks and and sort of pumps you up, but he's he's not afraid to tell you if you're fucked up as well, which I like. Yeah, at the time I don't and probably want to call him out, yeah. But um it's something that I need. Yeah, that's good. So I'm grateful for people that are in roles or in jobs and they're fucking passionate about what they do. Um not just on a specific day or um when it suits them, but they're always passionate about it, and you can see you can see that in their eyes, you know what I mean? Yeah, um, so I'm grateful for you guys out there that if if you're out there and you're passionate about your job.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I I I'm along I'm alongside that. I like that. That's good. I think if you're not passionate in what you're doing, go and find something that you are life's too short to bro.

SPEAKER_04

I spent too many, too many years doing something that I for for the good money, you know what I mean? Everyone's like, oh, you're doing that, you're in the mind, so it must be mad. Yeah, no, it's not actually for me.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Um, and for so many people different people would be passionate about working in there, you know what I mean? But you need to find what's right for you, not what suits everyone else's um agenda.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Money comes and goes, oh, I've seen a mad quote. Money comes and goes, no. Um you'll nearly always forget how much money you spent on one trip, but you'll never forget the memories.

SPEAKER_02

That's good.

SPEAKER_04

Um, and it's been something that I've been focusing on. Like, I've I haven't done that much traveling to be honest. Yeah. Um, but I've always wanted to. I know we we had a Europe trip booked a while back, but COVID fucked that up.

SPEAKER_02

True.

SPEAKER_04

Um, but um Bali this year, like I went to Bali and go to New Zealand soon as well.

SPEAKER_02

True.

SPEAKER_04

Um, and I've yeah, I've in the next couple of years, bro. Like in this little bit of a next phase of my life, I just want to travel around a little bit. Yeah. And before I reach the next phase of my life, you know?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Um and I feel like it's so easy to get stuck into going out every weekend in your hometown and spending all your money and doing this and doing that. Bro, you can save that for a month and you can go away. Yeah. You can fly up the Queensland, you can fly to the Goldie or something like that for like 400 bucks return, not even.

SPEAKER_02

They're do they actually got um free trips to the NT at the moment. True. Mm, just trying to get people to go there. Where did you go check out Uluru? Fuck yeah. How do you how do you get on it? Sponsored. Um I'll search it up.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, and yeah, I'm flying to New Zealand um to why not Wellington. Um, one of the things. It's only 600 bucks by return. True. From Sydney. I'll fly to and I want to go to Loura, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You can get up to 750 back on your airfare when you book a legible holiday package featuring at least two nights' day and local tours. I think you've got to fly an Alice Springs button into a bus.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I think. Oh no, I think they do have an airport there. I'd do that. We were gonna do it when I was living there, but we never did. Should we send the putty up there? No, I'd definitely do that.

SPEAKER_02

Right, three nights, twin share, fifteen hundred and thirty-nine, but you get seven fifty back, I'm pretty sure.

SPEAKER_04

358 or 375 each.

SPEAKER_02

No, because that's one person.

SPEAKER_04

Oh.

SPEAKER_02

And that is take your Uluru holiday to the next level with our package including our most adventurous activities.

SPEAKER_04

Plus there's a there's a remote community right next to it too. Might have to fucking send it, eh? Desert lights? Yeah, that's mad.

SPEAKER_02

Is that on now? Three nights. Um $909 each. Sure.

SPEAKER_04

That's a combination and everything, baby. That could be on, boy. We could be on there.

SPEAKER_02

We could be we could be um Uru Uluru Sunrise. That'd be mad. And Field of Light. Um That's only $989 each. But I think you get $750 back.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, well let's fucking suss it out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. We're going to the NT.

SPEAKER_04

We're going to the NT, we've just decided.

SPEAKER_02

Option mine, how outback hotel, three night stay in Olaroo at the Ayers Rock Resort.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that one's got a pool, I think.

SPEAKER_02

Desert Gardens, three night stay at the Ayres Rock Resort in a standard room or a superior room. They're all at the same thing. 25 minute Uluru and Kata Katajulda. Helicopter experience. Holy tonsy. That'd be mad. Right, that's a thousand dollars each. Free parking, thanks, I guess.

SPEAKER_04

Um plenty of places to park out there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Free Indigenous activities program. Free in-room Wi-Fi, three-day Uluru, and national park entry. Free. Alright, we're going there.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we're going to LaRue. We just worked it out.

SPEAKER_02

We're gonna drive free parking. Yeah. Would be.

SPEAKER_04

Send it, you reckon? Yeah. If the missus listen, we're going a Laru. Yeah. Boys trip. Sorry. Tour inclusions, yeah, sunset camel experience. Camels are freaky. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That's that's him. That's only a day's work, would you Yeah. That's his party.
