We'd love to hear from you!

Our Summer Sermon Series and Summer Bible Reading Plan will walk together through some of the foundational practices and invitations of the Christian life: following Jesus, loving our neighbor, forgiveness, generosity, prayer, peace, community, gratitude, and more. This isn’t about adding more pressure or more “religious homework” to your life. It’s about creating just enough space for Jesus to meet us in the middle of our everyday lives.

Our back to the basics Bible reading plan is not an invitation to do more. It's an invitation to do what matters most. This week we're looking at prayer. My prayer life has changed over the years. It's become something that I do quite regularly, something that I'm quick to invite others into, but that wasn't always my practice. It took a discipline of prayer for me. It took an intentional finding time where I can be with God and talk to my creator. It's hard. Isn't it hard? More than ever, it's hard to just hear nothing, to not be distracted or needed to look at a device or a screen. Scripture calls us into this relationship with our Creator. There's this great Psalm, Psalm 46, and there's this verse 10, and it says, Be still and know that I am God. I love that because all of us need to slow down, and many of us need to just stop. So for a moment, wherever you are, I invite you to just stop. Take a deep breath with me. Close your eyes and hear these words of scripture. Be still and know that I am God. Be still and know that I am. Be still. Church, so many of us need to just be, just for a few moments each day. My encouragement to you this week is that you'd start your day and you'd end your day in communion with the one who has created you and equipped you for so much. Love and peace to you all.
