Swift T.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Well, if you guys thought you were sick of seeing us all over your feeds, you're gonna hate this now because we've started a podcast. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Swift T. Our first guest is a Lake Local, graduated for Sales High School. Bartended at Shady Gators for 18 years, bartended in the Keys for 15 years. He's newly single. He's the second fastest guy in the room and the third fastest person in the room. Ladies and gentlemen, Brent Morrison.
SPEAKER_03Brent Morrison. Thank you very much.
SPEAKER_01What an honor to be the first guest on your guys' Swift T. I appreciate that. Also a Swift T. First, yeah, now a Swift T. Now the Swift T. How's that feel? Being the first of a lot of uh guys in the room, huh?
SPEAKER_05I mean exactly. That's what we told Chuck.
SPEAKER_02Full disclosure to the 10 people listening is that we tried this and it didn't really record. So this is roughly around two, but so we get like 11 people on this one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02We get up to 1215. So yeah, it's a new podcast at the lake. So we're gonna bring on some lake locals and just kind of chill and talk, see what happens.
SPEAKER_03Lake life, all the things, no rules.
SPEAKER_02The big news is a lot's happening in Brad Morrison's life. He's after working at Shady Gators for 18 years, he's at a new spot, and he's also selling the real estates with us.
SPEAKER_03So cut all his hairs off. Tell us what's going on with you, man. The man of many hats. Yeah.
SPEAKER_0118 years at Shady's, and it was time to hang the hat up and try something new. So um I thought, why not come join a little real estate team? And still in the process of needing money, I'm working at old Dock Knockers. Yeah. Oh, Tony Babarito, you know, something different.
SPEAKER_03We like seeing you there.
SPEAKER_01Something different. Um the most delicious Bloody Marys. Yeah, you don't have to deal with many college kids, so something new, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_03I feel like it's shifting to Dock Knockers now. I feel like you're bringing those here. You're gonna do it there. Let's be honest, you kind of attract dudes.
SPEAKER_01No, no, but you attract.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you're easy to get along with and talk to, so any college-aged, I guess, female is probably feels comfortable, like, or whatever, they go there. Well, guess what follows? The college females. The bros.
SPEAKER_01The bros. The bros love me more than the girls do, but um for for for the fact of I ran away from shadies because of the college kids. You ran away? The first the first group that we had at Doc Knockers was 180 college kids.
SPEAKER_04Oh, we came in right after that. That was a brutal that was like a couple weekends ago.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and and and not that you guys know this or not, but uh Doc Knockers does an old school system, so they don't have a computer. It's all handwritten. Oh. So try to um accommodate 180 people that are trying to start 180 tabs was brutal, to say the least.
SPEAKER_04So the good thing is you can do math.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, that's what you have to do. Well, I don't do math, I just take my phone out and type in the numbers. And that was how dumb I've gotten to this point.
SPEAKER_03It's just like we all rely on.
SPEAKER_02What's cool about the college kids is that they usually just start a tab and don't close it every time.
SPEAKER_01So next day we had seven cards, just people, hey, you got my card.
SPEAKER_03Or Mike Swift leaves his card places too.
SPEAKER_02I would leave my card at um GQ a lot lately. Uh Riley's been looking up for McDonald's. Oh, McDonald's.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, where is the weirdest place we've ever picked it up from? I think it was McDonald's.
SPEAKER_01Oh, he left it at uh tire biter's a couple times during that. That's everybody does that, though. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I'm used to the swiping it and giving it back, so that when they hold on to it, I'm like it's gone.
SPEAKER_01That's the I can't ever, you know. That's an easy way of doing stuff. It's weird when somebody holds on to your card, right? That's why I don't start my own tabs usually.
SPEAKER_03Thank you, Brian Hills.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was gonna say that it's the new age thing, is to swipe it and get it back so you forget that you opened a tab and then you have to do the walk of shame the next day.
SPEAKER_03It's easy because usually I can't, by the time I'm tabbing out, I'm like, I don't even know.
SPEAKER_01I would tip more. Yeah. So I'm like, please keep tab.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, by then it's either I tip more or I can't figure out I can't see it. So you want me to tip it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. No. I make sure that I give Claire the tab before she leaves.
SPEAKER_04Extra tip.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, hey, yo, Claire, don't forget to sign up.
SPEAKER_04Claire is the best tipper. She is a great tip. But she's she knows she's been in the uh that side of it.
SPEAKER_02I feel like I tip very well, and I am like, I know that the bartender is like, we always give it to Claire, and I'm like, I'm tipping like 30, 40 percent. Claire's like, Claire will give you her car and like pay for your health insurance. It's nuts.
SPEAKER_01Every time that she would come in, everybody'd be like, You got them, you got them. I was like, I know. And make sure that Claire pays. I was like, I got it, dude. So she is uh an overachiever when it comes to the tipping game.
SPEAKER_03Well, speaking of, you know, seeing all of us out on that, you know, in that realm of being out socially or whatever, and now that you're here in the office with us, you see us in work mode. How's that going? How what are you we about the same?
SPEAKER_01Like ask me mid season, but right now, um, this is more of a structured lifestyle than you know the chaos that you get whenever you go to a bar. But um, I like this.
SPEAKER_04This is uh So we seem semi-responsible. Absolutely, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01I like having some sort of uh nine to five in a certain sense, you know? Yeah, more of a structure to life um on that aspect. But I mean, always will love the bar business because you get that entertainment value of drunken people all the time.
SPEAKER_03So but it also goes hand in hand. I mean, social, you you know, just being social, you find out a lot about people and you get to I mean it's gonna benefit you in your real estate.
SPEAKER_01Everything's relationship based. I mean, everything's one of those um you're building something with somebody to try to get them to purchase something from you. That's why you're gonna crush it. Yeah. I mean, I feel like it's in the beginning of the gift again at this point, but uh I do feel like I do feel like it's going to take off at some point.
SPEAKER_02So um I'm just perfect, it's a perfect internship for real estate because you get to you don't even know you're doing it, and you meet all these people and then they just feel more comfortable with you, and it's yeah, you've already built that bond or that relationship.
SPEAKER_03That's the hard and they feel like it, they know you and they trust you.
SPEAKER_01And I I catch it a lot at the bar where people are like, Oh, I see it, you're doing real estate.
SPEAKER_04So or they're into dogs, one of the topics.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah. I mean the dog aspect of it. She's she comes to work, I think, just as much as uh anybody else here does. So she's the the ride-along, the one-eyed woman.
SPEAKER_03We like having her here.
SPEAKER_01It's weird.
SPEAKER_02You'll see people that call you and they'll just be like, you'll be like, Oh yeah, vodka tonic. And you'd be like, I remember that guy. But it's like those drinks and stuff. Oh, you're the bushlight guy, you know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that is a weird attribute. Like you guys, it doesn't matter how quick you pick up on it, but it's crazy. You might not remember her name, spouse's name, anything, but what that drink is.
SPEAKER_02It's it's called the I think it's called the Dunbar number, but it's like how many people you can remember in your head. So it's like only like 150. So like you just meet so many people that like you can remember drinks, but you can't remember like the names. So it's like not like you're trying to be Ruby, like shit.
SPEAKER_04Well, then you're the tall guy, so everyone remembers you too.
SPEAKER_01I and here's the thing is that uh the man bun used to be the big thing. So when I cut my hair, thank god, that's gone. Thank god that's gone.
SPEAKER_03I almost forget what you look like with that. Because you look an island boy.
SPEAKER_01I know, but there I would wear it down. So whenever I would be here, and that's obviously way more humid here than it is in Key West, uh, and I was always in Key West in the wintertime, but you would wear it down there, and then when I get here, it's always up, it's always uh in a bun. So I know I know that wasn't um attractive, but it looks like you care now. I mean, you pulled it off, but it wasn't like it was bad. But some do some guys can't for letting me know that I didn't look that good with it or not.
SPEAKER_04You just look better.
SPEAKER_02You didn't look good. When I tried to grow my hair out, me and Matt Stevens did a hair growing competition, and he had like a shaved head, and his started curling and turning blonde and going back. And mine was just greasy and screaming. And it was just it looked horrible. I was like, I'm not gonna win this. You can't win in everything, so I'm not a long hair guy.
SPEAKER_01I try that has the long hair, it always goes through the weird stage, which is called the hat stage where you wear a hat all the time until it gets until it gets nice enough where you can you know wear it how you want.
SPEAKER_02I forgot how long your hair was. You take it down. I was like, yo, yo, mid-back.
SPEAKER_01I mean, it was that is what I mean.
SPEAKER_04We we pay for art to get to the city. We see that long your video should have still been when you join the team, it's just we should have just like let it. Ah, yeah, that would have been the greatest.
SPEAKER_01I took a trip to Jamaica and uh was swimming and was at a resort, and they take pictures of you and then try to sell you the pictures. I come out of the water, and the guy says, Oh my god, I thought you were a girl. I was like, Hey, don't say that to people. Don't say that to people, man. Uh but yeah, they got the beautiful long hair and no more. So beautiful. More of the colour. Did you save any locks? Did you buy the funny enough? I was going to uh do it to locks of love, but um after I got it done, I got a couple of locks of hate? It was all locks of love. Locks of love. But uh whenever we got done with the hairs. It was all on the floor, and it wasn't one of those things where the guy's like, Oh, you want to donate that? And I was like, Yeah, not really. So, anyways, I was going to, you know, and potential to be a a good um potential to be a good human in your yeah, and and and I just threw it away. Listen, if I would have gotten your hair, it would have been hilarious to put it into a what do you guys call your tracks? Yeah, extensions. There you go. If I would have got those put in extensions, man. Oh I would only donate if I got to see where it went. Exactly. I want to see somebody with it on like you have Brant's hair on that.
SPEAKER_03You didn't have enough to like. I mean, they usually put it in wigs and things, right?
SPEAKER_01I there's a certain length that's you have it's like eight inches.
SPEAKER_03You have to right? Oh I don't know. Gutter. I take that back.
SPEAKER_02So so you're having some new theme parties. I'm excited. Doc knockers and the get down guys. So you're throwing some shindigs over there.
SPEAKER_01He kind of gave the free reins on um to do some parties, and you guys know that Tuesdays are industry parties uh during the summertime. So we grabbed the first one, I'm pretty sure, which is the Tuesday after Memorial Day.
SPEAKER_02So last one in May.
SPEAKER_01Yes, so last one in May, and we're doing a nineties party to kind of kick it off. I'm excited. Everybody um obviously being 21 or above has has experienced the 90s, I would guess, right? And everybody that no, we're not. We're I don't think so. We were born in the 2000s, so some of these are Oh, they don't know. They don't know about the nineties. But anyway, so we're doing the 90s parties. We'll we'll have DJ there, and I think that we're trying to get DJ Mikey to do that one. Um but yeah, and then a pirate one that comes mid-July. Arg. And there's another one, an ABC. We'll do the pirate thing because we get a lot of people there. We have like a lot of pirates? Pirate.
SPEAKER_04Mike Wright likes to dress up like a pirate and stuff.
SPEAKER_01And we have Joe from Jolly Rogers that that brings the the ship over all the time. So we're gonna try to incorporate that. People can get on and take pictures with the on the pirate boat. But uh the most popular one is the ABC party. What's that? They they've repeated that from last year, and it's anything but clothes. Oh. So you're supposed to wear anything but clothes, wasn't it? That was huge. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But that was their biggest party was the earboxes, or you gotta like make something that's not clear.
SPEAKER_01Like you can't wear clothes at all? Well, they wanted to. I think there's kind of a law to having to put clothes on. You gotta like make something public.
SPEAKER_02Make something that's not typically closed, clothes. You gotta get creative.
SPEAKER_01So people were doing caution tape and boxes was another one. But there was a big thing. Yeah, you gotta wear caution tape and boxes. It should be caution tape box party. Caution tape, just put a bunch of caution tape on.
SPEAKER_03Or do you take pictures? I don't know.
SPEAKER_01Like, so what would you do if you did anything but clothes? Because now you have to come to the party. So you wear like a Christmas tree. Something ran wrap. You gotta have an outfit. I mean a costume is a tough not clothes, right? Just not normal clothes.
SPEAKER_03I'm just gonna get like a an extra large dog outfit. You know what I mean? Like, you know, like a furry, like a furry thing?
SPEAKER_02That's this is people clothes.
SPEAKER_03No, it's dog clothes. Oh, like a big dog, yeah.
SPEAKER_01What are you doing? Like a like a leash with like a home dog. No, no, no, no, not going that route.
SPEAKER_03I'm just saying, like I don't know, maybe they have like a costume, like a Halloween costume for a dog, like it's a slug or the main purpose. There's a Christmas tree one. I don't know. Or I'm gonna come in like a Spider-Man outfit.
SPEAKER_01That's that's not clothes, it's costume.
SPEAKER_03I'm just it's I'm super happy.
SPEAKER_02Me neither. I'm trying to think. Oh no. I mean, it's I mean, it seems like you'd go just for the people watching, because 100% just to see with the creativity. And then, yeah, someone's just gotta be super creative. Someone's gonna be you're gonna be like, I should have thought.
SPEAKER_01And on that note, they do give out a prize for the best dress. And when is that one? Get down guide to look you're gonna have to look on the get down guide to just be.
SPEAKER_03But it's not, it's like later in the summer. So I got some time.
SPEAKER_01It is, it is, it is. If I'm not mistaken, I think they're in the the the June. If we were there in the June, right? No, I think that's in July. It was July. Yeah. And I might be getting the the ABC. Hannah, when is that? Can you look it up for us?
SPEAKER_04Hannah's our producer behind the scenes here. She's checking out, she'll find out.
SPEAKER_03With the uh on the bike. Cruise ship.
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah, she's got the cruise ship flu or whatever.
SPEAKER_03Oh, the new virus.
SPEAKER_01Anything that you have uh that's supposed to be like a promotional type of thing. Um, and that being said, it was a bike that that blended margaritas, right? Um we'll put a little promotional video out there, people would come in. But everybody's like, it's like that if you put some food out, no one eats it until one person takes a bite of it, type of stuff. So they really didn't blend it. I I blended two to start the day off, and then no one wanted to get on the bike. But once we got everybody drunk and about like 10 o'clock at night, it was every person wanted to hop on the bike and do it. So we had it turned out well. But the next day, uh, for Mother's Day, they left it up and a bunch of people took pictures by the sign by the bike. But mom's day. Um, I tell you what, even um exercise and alcohol together is kind of a roll of the dice. Not everybody wants to do that.
SPEAKER_05So speaking of it. Cassie did, she got on there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I was gonna say she was one of the main early people to do it, but I made her. Did you remember that I made her do it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_01I was like, here, go.
SPEAKER_02The hard part with real estate is like when you go from bartender to start and sell real estate, is like wearing clothes because you're like, all my shirts are bar t-shirts and costumes, and you're like going through your closet and you're like, I can't. I have my trusty white shirt or my trusty blue-collared shirt, and that's about it.
SPEAKER_03I've seen Brant in several different types of outfits. You had a deeper I mean, you've deeper batteries. You got some flip-flops, t-shirts, bar. I've seen you, you know, look like today. You look very nice very nice in your shirt and your shoes, and then you've worn you wear regulars? Were they regulars? Yeah, I got some regulars. And some boots? Do you have flipping?
SPEAKER_04Do you have flip-flops shit?
SPEAKER_01I don't. I the only flip-flops I have are some janky ones that I have. You gotta get some of that. Well, we haven't gotten into that yet, you know.
SPEAKER_02I don't think I've ever seen you wear flip-flops. I used to wep-flops all the time. I have flip-flops.
SPEAKER_03Okay, question. If you two were gonna race in flip-flops, who do you think would win?
SPEAKER_01Swift. I got him smoked. He always tries to race in a lot of drunk.
SPEAKER_03But you're in shoes.
SPEAKER_01I'd like to kind of up to this flip-flop because if you flip-flop goes, wait, wait, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, wait, wait.
SPEAKER_02The one in Key West pointing at the video.
SPEAKER_03What about the yeah, did you have flip-flops on in the Key West one? And that's when you ate it.
SPEAKER_01You ate it? I don't think I'm allowed to be able to do it. I didn't have shoes on it. Yeah, I had to be. No, he probably had shoes on. He always tries to cheat somehow because he knows I'm fast.
SPEAKER_04I knew this whole thing was gonna end in like a foot race again at some point.
SPEAKER_02At some point, my favorite part about that story was I think we were going to tree bar and and QS at Rick's, and then Mark Waddington is like, Swift, like, hey, uh, come over here. Like, like one of something's like, Do you know that video of that race? And I was like, What? And I was like, Oh, like the foot race, and I think you had it on your phone, and I went and showed it, and it was all these boat guys, and it's like millions and millions of dollars of powerboat races, and all these boat guys are watching you and me race, and like if you walked by, you're like, are they looking at like the turnaround Mallory Square? Like, what are they watching? And be like, no, just two kind of fat middle-aged white guys running as hard as they can in front of the boathouse.
SPEAKER_01Do you remember everybody at the boathouse was standing outside? Like, we got to be able to do that.
SPEAKER_04You guys originally started to you were gonna run into the restaurant and were like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, because you thought it was so turned up.
SPEAKER_01Roderick even came out to watch that one. I was talking to him, and you were like, Are we doing this? And I was like, Hey, I got he's like, What's going on? But then you're like, you're like, I'm about to sue you.
SPEAKER_02He's like, That's city property, buddy.
SPEAKER_04That aftermath.
SPEAKER_01He said, I'm about to sue you because I felt it so hard.
SPEAKER_03Here, we'll give you a little toe seek of that.
SPEAKER_01Dude, my whole body, I had a bruise for like the next day.
SPEAKER_03I think they saw you the next day, and you're like, we went out or the day after that.
SPEAKER_01One of the and it was soon after uh the bite that I took at the bite. Um, we went out on a boat day, and so I got tan, or I got sun on it, and it didn't go away, it didn't go away for four months. For being an island boy, not very and then didn't you fall and didn't you fall and bust your other hip like on a hammock? Yeah, like a week later, I fell on a bed. Okay, and that was it was uh it was I was on a hammock, and and we would rent one of these boats in Key West, and it's a pontoon, but it's like an oversized pontoon, and you could hang a hammock in it.
SPEAKER_04So you were just trying to chill.
SPEAKER_01I was, and then we hit some rough waters, and your boy didn't didn't fare very well. I fell out. I mean, I had one hip was busted, the other hip was busted. I was looking real piratey. Yeah, I had a limp going for a while.
SPEAKER_02But that uh three rivers run I did a long time ago, and I wore a bandana, like a douchebag, and I was like, I cooked like the bottom part of my face, and this was all white. And we were bartending at horny toed, so I couldn't wear a hat. So I like I'm like, oh man, I look so bad. And I'm like, maybe it was not that bad. And the first guy that comes up to the bar all days goes, Hey man, nice face.
SPEAKER_05And I was like, Oh man, he's like, damn, did you notice it? It'll be a long day.
SPEAKER_02But nothing's worse than bartending with a black eye or something stupid, because it's like you have to explain it blind. And then even like the jokes are sick, like you see the other guy.
SPEAKER_04I'm just trying to ask that question if there's like cat fights at the office here, since you're used to breaking up fights.
SPEAKER_01Well, you mean nothing nothing work here at the office because everybody thinks it's that's the you think you would think whenever you come into an environment where there's this many girls that there would be some sort of drama.
SPEAKER_04So I don't know if you'd already been approached by that.
SPEAKER_01No, and then that's people do ask that question is there a drama? And but you girls all get along. I think they've done a good job of of placing the right people in the right places that uh that no drama really happens. So uh I feel like if there's a girl fight, I'm gonna watch it out. I don't think I know you're not gonna you're not gonna interfere. I don't think that you guys would hurt each other too much, you know what I mean? Share it on. And I don't want to catch a I don't want to catch a straight.
SPEAKER_04I think you were in bad shape the last time you fell off that hammock on that boat. Just think of what happened to you then.
SPEAKER_01If any of these girls are fine, I'm not sure. Exactly. No, you guys and oh we know. Yeah, yeah. I think you guys get in fights with other people, not each other. So that's that's always a positive. I am Switzerland. That's fair.
SPEAKER_03I'm not I'm definitely not that.
SPEAKER_02I think the last year I worked bartendon, I got decked like three times, just random, just nonsense.
SPEAKER_01You remember when we first started doing shady gators, there wasn't security there. So we were the security through the first couple years that that they were open. So there'd be fights and you'd be in part of them. And I remember getting in a fight and having my hand broken for uh a labor day or uh 4th of July.
SPEAKER_04Like right or left.
SPEAKER_01It was a boxing fracture in my right hand, and you have to carry trays. I was at that time I was serving, so I pee rumpy.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, good. The uh one time we were out in front of the gator and um we were going in between stuff, and like there was a bunch of dudes, and I was like, Man, I'm about to get beat up, you know, because we're trying to count stuff down. And one security guards was there, and Trey was our head bouncer, he's an awesome dude. And he got and I was like, Will you get Trey? And he's like, Trey, and there's like another tray, and I'm like, big black Trey. And he's like, Yeah. So he runs and he gets one of the big black big black serving trays and hands it to me.
SPEAKER_03And I was like, Not that one. What am I gonna do with that?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, the big black one.
SPEAKER_04And you may have needed it.
SPEAKER_02There's a whole uh book of Shady Gator stories. But what's crazy is when we started working there and the pool blew up and it was crazy, and now it's like there's so many pools like that that are everywhere and they're all busy, and it's just nuts because it was kind of like the only show in town.
SPEAKER_01Besides um your old topsider pool, that was Shady Gators was the first pool, like party pool, you know.
SPEAKER_02And then Hornytail they had they put in the pool at the resort, but it was just for like hotel guests for a minute, and then the gator was the first one that kind of opened its eye because it was so confusing because it was just like, where do all these people park? And then it just got crazier and crazier.
SPEAKER_04So find a way.
SPEAKER_01Well, you would think now this is a question, but if I were to come to the lake and not live here, let's say I was a city person, I would want to do like coving out, but it seems like the bars have taken over precedence of like what people do when they come here. I mean, that's just me personally, but I feel like the bars are.
SPEAKER_03I mean, it it depends. I mean, we it used to cove out.
SPEAKER_04But I mean, people still like to drink out of their cooler. I think they just want to go where their friends are.
SPEAKER_03Well they don't they don't have access to a boat to cove out.
SPEAKER_02The uh the like make party cove great deal we do every year. Like, you gotta go to that this year. It's sweet. But it's every time we do that, I'm like, we could do this every weekend, like this is awesome.
SPEAKER_01I think it's really cool. That's the lake, right? Right. That's when I was a kid or when I was younger and I couldn't get into the bars. That's what you would do. You would just go cove out somewhere, you'd have a cooler and you'd drink your drinks. But I just think it's weird where people come down here to do to just stand around a bar and then a pool.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I guess it's the same, but it's the same as it's like. But the boats have gotten larger too, so like literally instead of it like having like a powerboat with two people or three people in it, you legit have like these cruisers with twenty people on it, so they're just they can just drive around and entertain themselves all day, much less cove out. But I do miss it.
SPEAKER_02I remember seeing Hills pull off on the bubboat with like Steve Meyer would be DJ or something, it'd be a bunch of people, and like they'd be going to party cove, and I was like cutting limes, and I was like
SPEAKER_01That would be fun again. Exactly. I didn't get enough of that. I think that's kind of why I I guess what I do is work at a bar. So that's I mean, you work at Shady's uh for forever and doing the pool bar at lazy's. You like see everybody having fun doing that, but my day off I want like I wanted like the peace and quiet. We can disconnect coven out, yeah. Just just with people that I that I want to hang out with versus, you know, getting stuck with a bunch of randos.
SPEAKER_02But I remember I used to be like, man, Tuesdays are the most fun days at the lake. When I was bartending, I was like, those are the funnest days. And then I started hanging out on Saturdays, and I was like, oh man, I can't believe I was saying that out loud.
SPEAKER_04You were like, you did say that even when I joined you, like you still were in that caught up, and I'm like, what's wrong with you?
SPEAKER_02Well, it's tricky because like when we started doing this, all my friends were like bartending, so I was like, Who am I hanging out with?
SPEAKER_04So yeah, regular people.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Now you get the regular people.
SPEAKER_01Now yeah, now you get to hang out with all the bar customers.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But now you're in that zone where you can hit both and you can hit the Tuesday parties and set, so it's kind of hard. Midsummer gets to be a lot. That's tornadoes like you call it. Yeah, party tornado starts.
SPEAKER_01But I mean, I there's no days off, you know, in that sense of it. There's always something going on. July's July's a breeze in my mind. I'm like, damn, that was a whole month.
SPEAKER_04You wait for it all year and then it's here, and then in a millisecond, it's gone. Just figure you just you just sleep when you're dead.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. That's it. In May. Yeah. I'll sleep in the month after.
SPEAKER_02We had that week that salt and pepper played. It was like this crazy week of stuff, and it was so fun. And then we had like one of the biggest days here ever on like a Thursday. And I remember in here, like we just had called the IV lady in. We had like a bucket of ice water, we were dunking our heads in it, and it was just like chaos. And some lady was like one of the IV ladies, and she was like, I saw her like a year later, and she's like, I went to your office one day, and it was like some Wolf of Wall Street stuff, and I was like, That's cool.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the yeah, yeah, that's the vibe we're actually trying to give away.
SPEAKER_04I think I missed that. I missed that. I don't know if it's a good look, but yeah, it works.
SPEAKER_02The IVs, yeah. The IVs are lifesavers, but you gotta get the idea.
SPEAKER_03We did it before, yeah. It's the before you go out for the long weekend.
SPEAKER_04I think afterwards is miserable because you're sitting there and you're already hungover, and then just all that cold like going in your veins. It's I feel like it's it's done. I think there's nothing.
SPEAKER_02The damage is already done at that point.
SPEAKER_01Go in and previously. Try it before. You know, I'm always there. We'll do it. It does make a huge difference. Yeah, but afterwards, I feel like I put a bunch of good shit in my body. Now I should feel like that.
SPEAKER_04So at that point, just go to work and drink like a bloody berry from Dr.
SPEAKER_01100%. That's the the shampoo effect's a beautiful thing. You know, just rock right back into it.
SPEAKER_04I never heard that until you told me that. No.
SPEAKER_02New spring wellness to trade out with the get down guides, so we all get IVs one day. So we'll do it like for white party or something. Please, let's do it beforehand so that I could test this theory that you guys have out. Once it stops, or once it starts, it's crazy, especially with lake race at the beginning of the year. There's just a lot of cooking.
SPEAKER_03Let's just hope it does not rain. Every party, I swear, that we put on it rains.
SPEAKER_02Well, knock on wood, but uh the forecast for Memorial Day doesn't look bad if you look at it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and usually it's always cold or rainy and it's a little bit more.
SPEAKER_01It does, and then it clears up when it gets closer to it. But yeah. Well, that's good.
SPEAKER_04Let's hope that chicks are like they're all shopping for the bikinis and everybody's getting ready and they're getting fit and getting tan, and then you see the weather forecast, and then everyone has like a 3X hoodie on or something like that on the memory.
SPEAKER_01I remember that was for the last two of them. I remember shady's people were wearing hoodies, or at least at nighttime it got cold enough to wear it, it was just dissipating the whole crowd. Everybody would go home, or you know. Um, and it does affect it. It if you get a warm one, it just it makes it so much better.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like you know why party last year it was like looking at the forecast. You're like, Because a lot of times you're like, maybe we can dodge, and it was like, Man, we are gonna do it.
SPEAKER_01It's like right when it's but it added it added to the element. It was fun. I mean, we saw a great time. It wasn't like a cold rain, you know, like you would still be in the room. That's true.
SPEAKER_04It wasn't thunderstorming, like it wasn't like life-threatening.
SPEAKER_02And Greasy and Nick killed it. So they kind of we turned the stage, so it was like a boiler room, like on that backside, and it was just super fun. But then it was raining so hard, like wherever you're at, you're just kind of stuck.
SPEAKER_01So I I came, you know, that was my first white party in probably four years. Yeah. But we were supposed to go on the boat, correct? And then that got that fell through. Yep. And then I uh ended up going with um Rowan and JG, actually. Funny enough.
SPEAKER_02You would be like there'd be like 80 billion people going, and Brand would be like, I'm not gonna make it.
SPEAKER_01And I'd be like, Oh, dude, we're gonna cancel the whole thing. Yeah, it would be like two hours beforehand, and we'd be sitting there like, you call them and tell them no, you call them and tell him no.
SPEAKER_02Well, there's like people that fly in for that party, which is crazy. And like last year, people were like texting being like, not gonna make it. Like, that's 20 people, that's 30 people.
SPEAKER_01So how did your buddy with one leg? How'd he lose his leg? Do you know?
SPEAKER_04He had a bout with uh cancer.
SPEAKER_01Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_04And then just basically where they took it is uh the whole reason why he has that uh implement basically. He doesn't have the carbon fiber type because of where they took it at. So like you see those guys with the military, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like when they've been in war and they had like that really soup sleek like carbon fiber. It just it all depends on where they actually take the extremity from.
SPEAKER_02He says, like such a baddest I forget he has one leg, and we do I'll be like, dude, come on. He's like, I have one leg. Like, oh yeah, shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Or like he was uh he was uh when we were at uh Omnia when we were in Vegas, Steve Aoki was playing, he's playing down here, Memorial Day. Yeah, uh he was trying to cake people, like throw stuff, and then he looked and Sean took his leg off and was waving it around, and Aoki just stopped everything. He's like, That's good.
SPEAKER_05Oh yeah, this is awesome.
SPEAKER_02The party trick part is insane.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he sometimes you'd see it passed around the bar and be like, Is there somebody passing a fake leg around? Like it's somebody.
SPEAKER_02At Tapin Girl, I remember they were doing the putting competition and he gave it to Chuck and Chuck uses as a club and he almost basically won.
SPEAKER_04Like that's not the first time those bros have done that trick, though, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Um always tends to work out when he's gonna check when he's gonna run in security.
SPEAKER_02Important doggy stuff.
SPEAKER_01It's kind of a lot more work than than I initiated uh initially thought. It's one of those things that you look at it and you see like somebody just wants to buy a house and and that's kind of the it, but there's a lot more to it. Uh and they don't teach you it in school. Exactly not. And even the real estate classes that you take um are very vague in learning. I don't think that that taught me anything about the real life of reality.
SPEAKER_03I think that um you learn the most when you're actually in it and doing it from you know your other college.
SPEAKER_01I'm still trying to learn. I mean to be completely honest with you.
SPEAKER_03Um it's uh I mean I learn stuff all the time, still to this day. And I've been doing it for almost 11 years.
SPEAKER_02It's weird because I was like telling you, I was like, it'll take two years before you even kind of figure out what's going on. You'll be like, oh shit.
SPEAKER_01I mean, right now, filling out a contract is still a I need my hand held for that type of stuff because I don't know what I'm doing. I don't want to miss out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Well and you want to be you want to be careful. Exactly. I want to make sure you're doing it right. I mean it's a big I mean it's a big deal.
SPEAKER_04For sure.
SPEAKER_01But you're here, like you're in, like I feel like you just absorb so much more with like all the lingo and I know you learn you learn certain skills, and and I by the end of it, I'm excited to see where I'm at in a year. I'm excited to see where I'm at in five years. Like this is just a roller coaster, and um just on the up and up right now. You gotta be closing Friday? You already closed the lot? I know, yeah, I know. So two and one, man.
SPEAKER_05Nice.
SPEAKER_02Uh Claire closed the deal before I did, and I was like, damn it, I gotta get one of these things.
SPEAKER_04I don't think I ever knew that.
SPEAKER_02The first deal I closed was with the Cotrols, and we were strapped for money, and uh my car broke down while I was showing them, and I ended up riding with them, and then they wrote an offer and dropped me off, and I was like, Oh my god, these guys are awesome.
SPEAKER_01Thank God you guys wrote an offer. I was like, you know, I'm like, is there a problem?
SPEAKER_02Like, you okay, I got a ride? I'm sorry about this. I went full because they're super nice.
SPEAKER_04And then so when I joined him first thing, that was the first um one that I got to hit out of the room. Really?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so Mike and Volma Catchell. Well, they look at it was okay.
SPEAKER_01Hold on, let's keep some campaign. Let's roll, let's keep this rolling, you know. Maybe Friday. That's like the new person's people, you know.
SPEAKER_02Like you just they're they need to buy a uh Rector Drone, me and Claire were like at a dumb fight or something, and she was shooting pictures, and I was driving the drone, and we go outside and I wasn't paying attention. I backed it into a bush that was like this high and just destroyed it. And then those things are yeah, so then I walked back in and I was like pouting, and she's like, Dude, crash the drone. I was like, Yeah. I was up in Eugene, Humble Andrew Hills, and that golf course up there. I was trying to shoot this lot on the highway, and they were hitting golf balls at it, and I didn't know. And a golf ball, you saw it go in front of the camera. I was like, oh man. But then if I was thinking about it, I was like, I thought I couldn't have to go.
SPEAKER_04You would have probably cheered actually the only thing that's like.
SPEAKER_02If you did it with a golf ball, I'd be like, I'm not even mad. That's pretty cool. That guy's gonna talk about that forever.
SPEAKER_01Because I can see like, damn, dude, if you can hire if you could hit a drone.
SPEAKER_02Some of those drones, like I like started like watch number, I went down this rabbit hole of like drone racks. So they'll put you can put like a $30,000, $40,000 camera on drones for like movies and stuff, and then they'll crash and you're just like, oh better.
SPEAKER_01So which one's better now? Because I've flown a small drone only, but I see in the back that you have a big drone. Yeah. Is that one?
SPEAKER_03You're still on the baby ship.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, and I'm not plan on.
SPEAKER_02Those bigger ones now aren't as good. Okay, like so that that one's really good. The the drone technology has come crazy. So the one that I have is a little bit bigger, it's got a longer lens. The one that you've been driving, that's the one that I've I love that drone. Yeah, no, it's it's phenomenal.
SPEAKER_01But I just think, I mean, in that sense of like when I think about it, the bigger the better, you know. So I'm thinking that the bigger one's gonna be better than than the smaller one, but obviously it's not the case.
SPEAKER_02Some of them have like these crazy zooms on them where you could take them up and like look right at nuts. So it's like it's starting to get creepy now. Well, and Michael Jordan's uh golf course, they have drones. If you order drinks, you order them from an app and a drone takes them to your uh shut up.
SPEAKER_04It's like they're developing groceries and stuff out west.
SPEAKER_01Ten years we're fucked. And that's scary, yeah. They're starting to take everybody's job at this time.
SPEAKER_02It's gonna be wild. The drones are the robots.
SPEAKER_01Well, drones period in general, yeah. I mean, now with this AI, you don't even have to you just put a picture of somebody and you just make them do action.
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, we're supposed to get that robot. Uh it's supposed to be August, like that that watches, like that'll fold your clothes and you teach it to shut up. But then you click a button, it's called I forget the name of it, but uh you uh click a button and um it you can train it so it will like somebody will take it over and they can look through it at like the company and like learn how to do it or the robot so it like can watch you. But then it's like I don't really care if they're watching through my robot, that's on the robots cost a lot.
SPEAKER_04It was like an entry, it was like it wasn't crazy your deposit was what, like 200 bucks?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the deposit like 200. I think they're like fifteen thousand dollars. Okay, but but I'll sell my car. I just want a robot.
SPEAKER_01If you want to come over and I'll be like, you want a pizza roll and a robot walks out, I'd be like, dude, I'm I mean, like yeah, the flex on that would be phenomenal. Like, hold on, you want to play rock, paper, scissors with this bitch.
SPEAKER_04Dude, your robot is gonna know so many random things that are not gonna apply to any laundry folding whatsoever at your house.
SPEAKER_02I just want it to be like dancing with googly eyes on.
SPEAKER_03Can we have it here at the office?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Can you like travel or can you take it in your car and like walk around you can yeah, drive around with it?
SPEAKER_01No, we'll kind of know. We'll take this one out, but does it do anything? You do there's robots that are like give you blowjobs and shit like that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I think those are already online.
SPEAKER_01Not like a real like like one that'll walk into your room and be like, Good morning.
SPEAKER_02I think they I don't know if it'll wake you up at the hand.
SPEAKER_04Well, your phone's listening to you, so now it's gonna automatically feed you one. No, now you're just gonna get it. Now we know what you're doing with your first closing money on Friday. I think weird.
SPEAKER_02I think we're like less than five years away. You're gonna be at some restaurant and you're gonna be like, You're not gonna believe this. Some dude was there with a robot having dinner. No question. Are we dating robots?
SPEAKER_03Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_02No, because it's gonna be honest. Because it's gonna be some dude that can't get a date and the robot's gonna be like, You're the man, you're also gonna be like, you know what? The superhero one. Yes. And it's great. That's just from a picture and a prompt and all that stuff. So it's like, if you're like, uh, I think Tyler Perry was building the big movie studio and he like just pulled the plug because he saw all this stuff and was like, This is this is gonna be yeah, no need for half that stuff. And if and if the only people who lose their jobs like movie stars, you're like, oh sucks. But this movie is probably gonna be awesome.
SPEAKER_01RIP.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. But that's coming right on the corner.
SPEAKER_01Like at some point you're gonna be like, what kind of movie do you want to watch? Like I want to watch an action movie that has a hero, and then that's just gonna create some movie for you. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_04It is crazy how quick it like even just working with Gemini, and you had a way larger platform than even what I had, and I did I don't even know how to do anything in 10 seconds.
SPEAKER_02That seed dances though, the one that's like that's the one that just came out, and that's like that's just from one picture. There's one I saw you tried to mess with it, the um uh the soul one or whatever it's called, but you put like 20 pictures in and then you're supposed to be able to like I don't know, I can't be able to drive it yet, but it's crazy. Yeah, it create like just creates a whole like profile, like because they said like 30% of OnlyFans are like fake people like that on that. So you could be like, you'd be like, man, I love I'm in love with Ashley, and you'd be like, Ashley's like some Indian guy.
SPEAKER_03Well, I mean, even like if I'm on Instagram or Facebook, I you know, they I just see things and I'm like, is that AI or not? Like it's really hard to tell sometimes. But that's why I it's really, really hard.
SPEAKER_01That girl that we had the the video of that works in she was selling real estate, and I thought she was AI.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, the little guy from Oklahoma. Yeah, the little blonde or wherever.
SPEAKER_01And she looks like a porcelain doll. Like the chick doesn't look real. Yeah, but obviously.
SPEAKER_04She's doing it.
SPEAKER_02She is real the crib. You're gonna like be you're gonna be able to like make videos of something and show it and be like, look, Brandt did this, and she would be like, Is that a big one? Well, that's the scary part, is they're gonna, yeah, you gotta like shit it could be start hitting the shaggy song, just like it wasn't me. And like be like, be like, because oh like now you like that's AI and be like, no man, they were there and be like, nah, that was AI still.
SPEAKER_01I don't have to explain it anymore to anybody, so we're good on that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, speaking of interesting summers, I guess you're single now, so to the hopefully we're up to 15 people listening by now, but are you looking for in a lady? Uh I'm not or are you looking, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Turn and gay, man. I'm over these. What are you looking for for a dude? Boy, these bitches, dude.
SPEAKER_04I cannot wait to see the response for that. Uh just date outside. You're gonna get a lot of themselves. That's not a first rumor. We let's pinky promise than herd. You're dating outside of the Swift and Co. circle.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I think that I'm not gonna I'm not gonna date anybody. I think I'm gonna concentrate on myself or the at least. You're having a hot girl summer. Yeah, I'm just gonna, you know, we'll we'll we'll sell some houses. Yeah. Kind of concentrate on it, you know. If they come around, they come around. If not, I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_02I think well, what are you gonna say to the people that think you just had the pirate party at Doc Knocker's so Winnie could wear an eye patch? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Wait, all right, so uh funny enough, um Winnie has one eye. My friend Amber got her an eye patch, so she will be wearing an eye patch. Does she have like an outfit too? Uh sh I've got her to put it on and kind of walk around, but she tends to try to knock it out.
SPEAKER_04Maybe we can get her something that's let's like.
SPEAKER_01But I'm gonna I'll I'll make sure, or I'll just glue it on her so that she can't take off. Please do not super do that on her. Just kidding. But she's definitely gonna wear it. Um most Sundays that I do work at uh at Doc Knocker. She puts on a crab outfit and hangs out. And she's kind of a mascot for it. So uh thank you for Tony to let letting me uh bring her to work. But she uh Yeah, the one eye, I'll tell you, dude. Um it's beautiful that her name's Winnie, because then I just changed her name to one-eyed Winnie. Um tell everybody real quick how what happened. A degenerate uh retina uh issue, and it usually just tends to be in shih tsus, um but was just uh made aware of it around Christmas, and it was one of those last minute decisions on take the eye out or pay a large amount of money to keep the eye, and she would still be blind. So you said see you later, I just chose to go for the cheaper option. And that the quality of life doesn't change. Uh the lady that was doing it was like the head of MU um veterinary school. So she was like the head lady and she's Oh no, she hasn't missed a beat. She's like, I've had dogs my entire life, and I've had shih tzues that also had their eyes taken out. So it was uh on her.
SPEAKER_03Didn't you tell me that when you were going through all of that, you asked them if there was like an implant that was all right, so yeah, thanks for making me look dumb here, but yes, no, I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_01Uh, I've never I've never went through this issue. I would I would ask the same thing. So I was like, Do we get a glass eye for her? And the lady laughed and said, No, we're gonna sew that shed. And I said, I said, okay, she said there was be a lot of problems for infection and shit, but I was like, you're getting a big thing. I created with like a party trick where I could be like, watching. Oh god.
SPEAKER_04So you're basically going back to the shawk.
SPEAKER_01I could like do my dog's eye. I'd be like, yo, it fell out. Oh my god. You know, you could really love or get her a really cool eye, you know, maybe like a snake eye or something.
SPEAKER_02We were at uh something really wild. We went to the uh oh, how was the sushi bear for you guys last night? We got soft opening for the floor.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm really excited for it all. Um it was really good. Yeah. They did two soft openings in Monday night and and and last night. So they forgot friends and family. It's it was just friends and family.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, just friends and family.
SPEAKER_03Maybe you're just friends.
SPEAKER_02I guess not us.
SPEAKER_01No, uh I just forgot that maybe because he probably mailed it to the product's address or something. That's what happened.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04No, well, speaking of eyes, the reason why they're going to for that fish, they're gonna buy fish whole because that way you know how fresh the fish is, because if the eyeball turns gray, then they know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, Scotty's like, I always when we get fish, I always look at it and it's in its eye to make sure it's not gray, and I was like, Oh, yeah, that's the last thing I want to do is look into a dead fish's eye.
SPEAKER_01But they buy fish with heads on it. I was like, ooh, but I'm like way to go show. If you go anywhere else, uh Costa Rica, Jamaica, they serve the fish that way. We're the only country that cuts the head off and serves it as a food. So you don't see it. A square. Anytime you get a do you would you you don't eat fish then if it has the head on it? Does it kind of freak you out a little bit?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_01See, no, I mean I'd still eat it, but I'd be like, man, if you give me a snapper that I could still see the head on it, that I can go on vacation and stuff, and you they dense it taste better, but it's awesome.
SPEAKER_02No, but Scotty liked the attention to detail, like that. Yeah, like every fish that we cook here, I look in the eye to make sure you're like, holy cow. That's awesome. That's awesome. That's good. I mean, it makes sense. Yeah, 100%. They had a scallop there. Did you eat the miso scallop? That might have been the best scallop I've ever had. I mean, I don't know what to do. Did they keep it in the shell? Yeah. It was like a miso base scallop or something. I love it. It was crazy. It's gonna be good.
SPEAKER_03That Hamachi was bomb.
SPEAKER_02Do you know when they open or when they're shooting for it?
SPEAKER_03Um, I the word was you know June 1st, but I don't know. That's gonna quote us. Yeah, don't quote me.
SPEAKER_02We could probably walk to the days away. Yeah. We walked to the they put a big balloon on the gas station the other day for grand opening. We went in there thinking they'd be like some kind of shoe carnival environment. Nothing.
SPEAKER_04Like it was just not even like free corn nuts or something.
SPEAKER_02It was buy one, get one free um beef jerky.
SPEAKER_01Beef jerky, that was it. That was about to just but we were kind of disappointed because it the balloon got us to go there. Yeah. And then I thought we'd get like a t-shirt or something. I thought you know a raffle. And it wasn't anything, it was just that the there was new gas pumps there. It was pretty much the gist. And if you want to buy one, get one on beef jerky. You could have done that too. But there was no sort of like free appetizers or maybe at a gas station? Some free sodas or not, I mean you put it on a tornado.
SPEAKER_02You've got a lunch on top with some flags. I want it something. I want something. Yeah, we need a quick trip.
SPEAKER_04I love Casey's. I do love me some Casey's, but I do miss me some chicken.
SPEAKER_03Quick trip is pretty legit.
SPEAKER_02I'm kind of glad we don't. No, no, no. No, because it's like a destination. It's like excited. That'd be just crushing those triple meat sandwiches all day.
SPEAKER_03I mean, the food is really good there. It's weird. I mean the Philly, like I know. It doesn't seem right burrito from Bucky's.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_03Like Philly cheese sticks. We should.
SPEAKER_04I wonder if the fruit are really, really good.
SPEAKER_02I only really had one thing.
SPEAKER_04Bucky bikinis for Make Party Co. Great again, because everybody wants a theme. Oh, that's okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, should we take a vote on what kind of theme we should do?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we should actually everybody coat great again to all people that are listening. Like uh what should we do for the theme for Make Party Co Great Again?
SPEAKER_02Probably the easiest run it back is it's World Cup, so you gotta go almost America again.
SPEAKER_04But yeah, but I mean how no offense. Soccer players, they're Batman pajamas, but I don't know how you incorporate that.
SPEAKER_02Well, they're probably gonna lose right away, too.
SPEAKER_04Because Mexico and USA are supposed to they don't have the best odds, I guess, to go all the way.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I looked at it, it's not looking good. But I don't think it's ever been looking good for us. It's not our thing. But it the fact that it's here like swale or something. But all the times are gonna be like it's all gonna be primetime stuff, so like everyone's gonna get caught up in it.
SPEAKER_01That's in Kansas one of the city.
SPEAKER_02It's like mid-June, and then at the the the finale, I was looking at it's like July 19th. So it's like a month.
SPEAKER_04Fun fact the bars are not closing, correct?
SPEAKER_02I am scared of that. And not 100% they're supposed to if that's that they won't close, they don't have to close.
SPEAKER_01What I hear, they even said in Kans City they're not supposed to open till 5 a.m. But how do you think you're supposed to do that? Like that's what I'm saying. Lakehouse have the option of, I guess.
SPEAKER_02If Lake House stays open on that Sunday until 5 a.m. God help everybody, like that's gonna be wild. Yeah, because you I mean I mean, I'm here for it, but I'm also I'm gonna be going to that like I'm going to be.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna start drinking at three in the morning. I can't you imagine starting at midnight and having to fucking run that thing till 5 a.m. Well, like in I could have done it in college, but not now.
SPEAKER_02I I used to think it was cool. Like when we started going to Key West, I was like, it's awesome, the bars are open late, but like if you stay up until five, ten o'clock in the morning is still there at 10 o'clock in the morning. It's not like everything else moves back.
SPEAKER_05So you're showing then too.
SPEAKER_02It's just like and I will stay till somebody makes me leave. Like I'm not like we stay there for four months. Everybody knows that, I think, about you. Yeah. I love hanging out. Yeah. He does love the house.
SPEAKER_04Speaking of, you're having the after party too for white party?
SPEAKER_03Oh, you are? At the house?
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. They said they will take over the shootout party, but they're like, no, they'd rather not do much.
SPEAKER_01Is he coming to DJ though, at least?
SPEAKER_02That I don't know. The goose is gone. Goose was scary. We had a big goose on our dock that chases people away.
SPEAKER_03I had one too. They always do with that.
SPEAKER_02How did you get rid of it? Uh it had its babies and it took off. Okay. But it was not happy. And we parked that boat right next to it, so everybody walked by and this goose was just flipping on everybody. But yeah, I guess we have to get some soup dumplings and uh frozen pizzas, be a little more prepared.
SPEAKER_03Brian Hills would be very mad at you if you didn't. Well remember, they were gonna fill your freezer with steak or something.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, is it?
SPEAKER_03They were like, don't we have a whole bunch of frozen meat in our fridge?
SPEAKER_02There's frozen meat everywhere.
SPEAKER_03Well, where did it come from?
SPEAKER_02We have an empty like freezer in our garage, and Hills and Mike right were like not having it, and they're like, We're buying you half a cow right now to put in this. I was like, don't. Like, why would it like I don't even know? Why would I need that? And they're like, we gotta fill this.
SPEAKER_01And I was like, I took uh two steaks out of that fridge.
SPEAKER_03Diddy cake. Oh yeah. How were they? He's like, I'll take that.
SPEAKER_01Really?
SPEAKER_03Did you did you eat it? I thought I'd eat it. Was it good?
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. I'm not a big like they were T bones too, so it was like expensive steaks. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Where did that come from?
SPEAKER_01That's a good question. Oh, snap. Well, there wasn't anything wrong with them.
SPEAKER_02So I think some of it was from Claire's dad got us some.
SPEAKER_01It might have been him, or there was some other there's some good stuff in there. There was phenomenal stuff in there. I was like, well, we'll take this for cleaning the boots.
SPEAKER_03I don't like thawing out meat for some reason, but sometimes I guess it's okay. Like it just doesn't taste.
SPEAKER_02I guess the impatience is freezer burnt, but those aren't freezer burnt. Those aren't those weren't burnt. Like if you like something like come in.
SPEAKER_03And just watching it on.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01I'm hungry hurry. Let's go.
SPEAKER_04He sits there all day. Did you uh are do we have a an ad or a sponsor that you were speaking of for our soup dumpling sponsor?
SPEAKER_02I would be full.
SPEAKER_01I mean anything. Let's get some energy drinks. Let's try some. Shout out to Runzel Hair Care Products.
SPEAKER_02They sponsored us as well.
SPEAKER_03We get enough.
SPEAKER_02We got some hair care products sponsoring. We got that coming up. If we get soup dumplings, we're really gonna we we start doing some ad reads here. If we get up to 20 people, I think we start doing that.
SPEAKER_04And according to Savannah, we need uh squishy heads. Oh we need squishies.
SPEAKER_02So this podcast is brought to you by the dog. If we get Nido sponsorship, Nito. Oh boy. What's the Nino? Oh geez. You had to be here the other day over there. Like squishies. Like I guess kids are all into the squishies. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Stress relievers, like stress. Sort of, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Ty Beanie Baby's like the name brand. Nido squishies are like the big dog squishies. It's like a new thing, right? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And you know what the most like like the if you want to be a big dog, evidently you have a Dr. Pepper one, you're like in. Oh, it's like the coolest one. Dr. Pepper.
SPEAKER_01You got Hannah excited about Dr. Pepper one, okay.
SPEAKER_02She was hardcore squishy. Like I she knew this. She knows all of it. Yeah. Is it a kids thing? Yeah. But we were at a we were at a dock.
SPEAKER_01I was like, man, how come I haven't heard of this?
SPEAKER_02It's all the cool stuff, man. We were on this dock party and this guy's like, man, I spent like 600 bucks at a squishy store the other day. And I was like, what are you what? How are you?
SPEAKER_01What? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, but I guess for resale value, if you're trying to, I guess. It's just I mean, we know I don't see it.
SPEAKER_03They fly off the shelves.
SPEAKER_02What was your go-to kid toy? Like if you it was like your favorite.
SPEAKER_01It's gonna be a wild. So I'm just going, maybe not go-to kid thing, but I'll go to like something that was a fad at one point. No video game, like straight toy. No, no. Bogs. Is that a weird one, right? Pogs. Bogs? Pogs? Yeah, the like collector deal? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Am I saying it wrong? No, it was POG. Yeah, pogs. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then they had slammers. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I had a bunch of those and I didn't know how to play. You'd be like, and then if they flip over, you get them. So it was weird.
SPEAKER_01There were these circular things, and then there would be like a heavier one that was like a slam slammer. Oh, yeah. Anyways, I don't know. And this is why I come back to it, it was a fad at one point. Like I remember being, it was maybe eighth grade or freshman in high school, whatever it was, maybe even younger than that. Uh, but it was like a thing because my buddy and I would collect them and you'd trade them in and out, and I guess kind of like what your what are the cards?
SPEAKER_03Pokemon cards, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Kind of the same aspect uh as as that. But that was my weird one. But I don't know if I had like a besides playing sports and video games, that was kind of like.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what was the little it was like a keychain and you could feed it Tagamakus or whatever? Yeah, right. It was an animal, and then you didn't it would die. Like Tamagotchis chimney. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Something like that. I can't remember.
SPEAKER_01But you're right, it would make a noise once you like fed it or maybe have tea or whatever the deal was.
SPEAKER_02My dad, uh, they were talking, he was with some guy at their house, and he was saying that he's gotta go home and feed his cows, but he's gotta do something. But he was talking about Farmville when that and my dad got so mad because he figured out they were fake cows, and he's like, What is he talking like?
SPEAKER_04He's talking about phasing a dope man. Somewhere at my mom's house, there's like probably boxes full of garbage pail kids cards. You remember those?
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh. And you had like those are sweet.
SPEAKER_04Like the what A and B. You had two, you always wanted like the A card rather than the B card, but I mean, I have like photo albums full of these collector cards. I don't know. Let's hope those come back. I do because my sister's name was Larkin, and they had Barkin Larkin. Okay. And that provided hours of torture. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02They named this after you.
unknownThat's good.
SPEAKER_02I have to go to Ninja Turtles. It's my jam.
SPEAKER_01Did you ever do anything that you collected? All right.
SPEAKER_02No beanie babies, no nothing like that. The turtles had the van, and they also had the blimp, and the blimp was next level. So and these were like action figures, correct? Yeah, but you can put the action figures on the blimp, and it was it's basically like Barbie for boys.
SPEAKER_04Exactly.
SPEAKER_01That's like holding on here. Didn't have a car and a house. At a blimp. A blimp was the house.
SPEAKER_04You had you had blimp. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Blimps are the weirdest. I wish I had a blimp right now.
SPEAKER_03The weirder, the better for him.
SPEAKER_02We need to get a blimp. We need to get a from Katie's wedding, we need to get a helicopter. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Oh. We have to get a helicopter. Wouldn't that just be if you left like that, like oh guys, our ride's here. And you hopped in a helicopter and left. We need a few. Oh, we're gonna land it.
SPEAKER_04And then we blew the whole reception away. Right. I was gonna go. We won't do that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm sorry about that. And I don't think we'd like you can't wait for it. Like when it gets to we have to like run to get into it. I think that would be the funniest.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I mean, that's the whole yeah.
SPEAKER_01Are you the funnest outfits? And are you are you uh officiating it, correct? Yeah, I think this is my how many how many weddings is this?
SPEAKER_02Six or seven. Damn.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's pretty solid. And how'd you go about you did not just do that? That's for how'd you go about uh acquiring the license? Because I might want to start doing something like that. Hey, you can do it all, you can take my spot.
SPEAKER_03You'd be actually really good. I mean, you can use your starting the show, but you're like you're really good at it.
SPEAKER_01I just would I wouldn't want to.
SPEAKER_02I don't mind public speaking at all. I can't sing like in public that like karaoke freaks me out, but I can talk all day, it doesn't bother me. But uh, but no, it's you sign on to the uh United, whatever it's like a 10-minute deal.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and then you sign to be a religious person at all or anything like that.
SPEAKER_02But like it's really just paperwork, so it's like you get a license from the church, you sign it, uh the Brian Groom, they don't really sign it because they already filed for it with their socials and everything. You have a witness sign it, and then the officiant signs it, and then they go back and file it.
SPEAKER_01You know who my officiant for my wedding was? Wedding. Winning. That's nice.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_01I know, isn't it wild that there's only like five or six states that you can do it at, but one of them is Colorado, and you just put some ink on the dog's paw, and that was the signature.
SPEAKER_02Ariel and Travis asked me to do it, the first one, and uh, and they kept being like, they're like, We need to talk to you, and I was like, What are they talking like? And it was like really weird, and they kept like asking me, and then they called and asked me, and I was like, Do you want me to marry you? And they're like, Yeah, and I was like, I'm at a golden corral by myself right now. Like, you're sure you're just what we need to do this.
SPEAKER_04Swift married Chuck and I, and he had uh he wrote the quotes from uh Huey Lewis, Power of Love. He's like reading the he's reading the vows to us, and I was like, This sounds like an 80s song. I'm like, oh my god, it's Huey Lewis. Don't need no money. Don't need no fans. That's perfect. And now every time it comes on, it doesn't matter who anybody is, and your friends will automatically get a text from somebody because they know that's what he did.
SPEAKER_02He would listen to the news, it's the great American poet.
SPEAKER_01He's we're trying to we did those fake weddings at uh bootleggers, and he's like, That's funny you bring it up because I was at Shady Giddy's last night, and they have a uh fraternity in town from Nebraska, and there was a girl sitting next to AJ and I, and she's like, We're doing a fake wedding tomorrow. And AJ proceeded to tell them, I think I don't know who the first one was. Was was it Sloan and I were the first one that you guys did? There was somebody before. Fletcher did it after me. Yours was the first big one. I think there was one. There was one that went before Spencer, wasn't it? Spencer and I think it was Colin. It might have been Colin Keeley. Okay. Or Colin and somebody, something like that. Yeah, somebody.
SPEAKER_04It's fake, it doesn't matter. Yeah, it's fake.
SPEAKER_01But that turned out that was one of the and people thought we went to Baxter's the next day and someone delivered a like a congratulation. Oh, it went. It went like a lot of things. Yeah, I remember it being like at a week. We people were like, I was like, oh shit, man. People really believe this. Like, you can't be telling people that.
SPEAKER_02It started out like as a joke the first year, and then the next year it was like we all missed everybody's wedding because we had a bartend, so we're like, let's have a bachelor, bachelorette party on Monday, and then do the wedding on Tuesday at Bootleggers, and then it just got out of control.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and people wanted to do it.
SPEAKER_02People were like, I want the next one.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, we're like, uh wait, hold on, hold on.
SPEAKER_02It was like I had more fun at those weddings than real weddings. Oh, real wedding. Yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER_04What is your ratio for what the people that you're married? How like are they still together? What's one?
SPEAKER_02I'm down one. Yeah. But who's that one? What's that? Who's the one? That's a lovely couple. That is the most flippo answer.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That was a beautiful answer.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I think it was either your wedding or Fletcher wedding because I was officiating it. I was doing it like real. Like, there was all we brought all the chairs and had them all sitting out, and it was like bootleggers was full of people. Yes. And there were people there in suits that I had no idea who they were at this fake wedding. I remember like, I was like, what is happening? Who are you guys? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I miss bootleggers. I know everybody that was involved with it doesn't necessarily like it, but I truly miss it in the wintertime. That was so fun.
SPEAKER_02It was a good I miss it and glad it's gone at the same time because it was like so fun. But at the same time, it was like somebody borrowed, dude.
SPEAKER_01You'd couldn't go to sleep after you left that.
SPEAKER_02Walsh is a really good pure pressure guy, too. So you'd be like, I'm taking it easy tonight, and Walsh would be like, You sure you're not gonna come up here? Like, send you a picture of a bomb, and you're like, Yeah, it was like so.
SPEAKER_04Of course, I was all for it, and everybody else is in there.
SPEAKER_01I bet for his health, he appreciates that it's not around either. You know, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Mallory is definitely like that would be one of the it would not be American, but still.
SPEAKER_02I think at your your fake white Sloan, you married fake married Sloan, and she started crying at you. Yeah, no question.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's how real she thought it was. Just kidding. They got real, but no, that's yeah.
SPEAKER_04Did you officiate it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I just said I had to read her vows because I wrote her for it because it was it was pretty much all jokes making fun of brands.
SPEAKER_01No. No, it was jokes. Yeah. On jokes, on jokes. Um, she would she she couldn't read her own. She was either too, she's like, I this is too real to me, or something. She was too like nervous. I was like, this is a seriously? Yeah. I was like, give me these jokes, these are hilarious. We also had been probably drinking all day. This is one of those things that she was like, um, this is too real. Like, I don't like why I don't want to do it. I'm like almost about to back it.
SPEAKER_03And then here she is, like, she's like, oh no, wait a minute, what am I doing?
SPEAKER_01It's kind of like imitations, like people talking about big. She wore a wedding dress. We it was if you would have been outside, she starts singing you would have thought it was a wedding dress.
SPEAKER_04And like she had Baxters and people send you presents and before. 100%.
SPEAKER_01Congratulations. I was like, shit.
SPEAKER_02I forget the words, but instead of Huey Lewis for that one, I did uh it was like a Method Man song. It was like about being down for your shoddy or something. Oh my goodness. But you're like reading it and everyone's sitting there like, Yeah, it's good.
SPEAKER_04I mean when you slow it down a lot of lyrics, you're like, all right, anything.
SPEAKER_02It's it's always beat that's it's like not what you're saying, it's how you're saying it. So we uh but uh I'm usually pretty good at that at my grandma's funeral. I went up there and I was like, I got this, and I had to read something, and I was like, it was like um a letter from John to the Philippians or whatever, and I was like, I was like Corinthians that you're still trying to say. It's somebody, but I'll tell you what. I said, but I go uh I went up there and and everyone's like, you know, sitting there like said at a funeral, it's like full of people, and I'm like, a letter from John to the Filipinos, and then I just kept talking, and then I went and me and my sister were sitting next to each other because she had to talk to, and I sit down and she's like, Did you say John to the Filipinos? And I was like, shut up.
SPEAKER_01Well, you know, everybody started to look at you then, like hey, you thought you were sad.
SPEAKER_03But if you say it, what did you say it with confidence? Yeah, nobody probably was.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, he just bubbled his weight through. Yeah, he's like, I I heard that wrong. No, I definitely said that you right, yeah, I didn't dude. No one's but weddings, you just gotta I like to keep it 10 minutes-ish, you know, you get in there. I think it's cool if like bride and grooms like say a little something, but then I mean, yeah, there's too many, you know, like a full. I mean, our wedding was what?
SPEAKER_03Oh, yours was ours was pretty fast.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's what like Yeah, you keep it at like really you can keep it at 20 and be good, but you mean you knock it out at 1015 and you get everything done.
SPEAKER_01Food and drinks. No one's there like, all right, cheers, you know. Yeah, all right.
SPEAKER_03I mean you want to see that part, but yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Your family does, but 90% of the people you invited are just true.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they're there for the free the meal and the drinks. I get it. I get it.
SPEAKER_02You gotta have a strong opener. I remember um one of them, Clint, was there, and I was like, All right, you know, like everyone, you know, you uh remain seated during this part. It's not, you know, for to be cordial, it's just so Clint can see, and everyone's like, oh so like you gotta get everybody laughing.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, break the ice, you know?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's like a little baby stand-up routine. So yeah, we got that, and then helicopter. We go and we can land at a Hannah. And then different eight person.
SPEAKER_01Do you have anybody you know that does helicopters?
SPEAKER_02Uh I was talking to Ryan Kelly about it. Apparently they got a helicopter guy.
SPEAKER_01Damn.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01All right. So what what is that? Like four people can fit in a helicopter? How does that go?
SPEAKER_02Uh it depends on the helicopter.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, okay. So I'm gonna do that. I mean, there's one cedar, yeah, eight packs. I think eight's like the max. The backs, yeah. That's back, but it's a big helicopter. What is like Augie Bush whenever he flies his around? What is that? Like a four phone.
SPEAKER_03He had a four pack.
SPEAKER_01It sounded right, you know. Four packer.
SPEAKER_03He doesn't have one anymore, but I mean, his I think it was he had a six, he had a four. Well, what about Gary?
SPEAKER_02Gary Pearl's got one, right? I don't think Gary's ever had a couple. I think he just has a plane. No, uh, plane plane. Yeah, helicopter just seems it's cool.
SPEAKER_04I know, it's like what you'd want it, you could get everywhere faster.
SPEAKER_01Easier to take off and land.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we can stick it anywhere, I think.
SPEAKER_04But more dangerous.
SPEAKER_02So is that a Kobe joke?
SPEAKER_04No, it really is. They're more dangerous.
SPEAKER_02We uh Clara's birthday, we were gonna go on a helicopter deal in the Grand Canyon because we were in Vegas, and then her birthday is the 29th, Kobe Bryant died the 23rd in January. And then so I was like, she ain't getting on a helicopter. So I called the lady and uh they're like Kobe Bryant, and I'm like, yeah. She's like, we can get a lot of cancellations. I was like, yeah, that was must have crushed the helicopter tours.
SPEAKER_01No question. At least for like six for a minute. That's a billionaire damn near.
SPEAKER_02So it's like helicopter looked like Batman's helicopter too. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_01And it wrecked? You're like, I'm good. I ain't going to be like, I'm not going on one of those tours.
SPEAKER_02Well, I think we're on an hour, so I don't know how long these go. So I guess wrapping up.
SPEAKER_01Do you feel like you've got good enough content? And then when on that aspect of it, are you doing like a half hour thing? Is it a 20-minute like short thing?
SPEAKER_02I think we're gonna let it rip, and then hopefully we have like a couple clippable things that we could put on. And we'll have to figure out how to go vertical.
SPEAKER_01Or you do like the clips, and then if you want to watch full video, then edit up.
SPEAKER_02We'll probably put it on Facebook and YouTube and then try and put the audio out. Hopefully, that's why we're trying to make sure the audio is good. I love that. Yeah, perfect. But then hopefully we keep dialing it in.
SPEAKER_01So well, I hope that me having me as uh your first guest um works in your advantage. I really hope it moves the needle for us. I mean, I'll be honest with you. I feel like it would. Yeah, you know, everybody's gonna watch it to make fun of me, is is probably what the deal is. I mean, I promise you, that people are gonna watch it. I feel like I get uh not like some of these other real estate people that put a video out and only get a couple likes on it. Like mine hit mine hit a couple thousand, you know.
SPEAKER_04So I'm just saying you got that likable face.
SPEAKER_01Don't put that on there if you would, please. But nope, it is I'm not trying to shit talk the rest of them already.
SPEAKER_02When you're like a good talker, but I'm like, it's weird when you get on camera the first time at like when you know what you do through a house. And I was like, yeah.
SPEAKER_04And that was a big week for you too, because you had come out be at the bar. I didn't even think you knew how to stand when you're at a bar and I'll be on the other side of the bottom.
SPEAKER_01I'll be completely honest on that whole adventurous thing is that I thought I went in with the most confidence ever. And then as soon as he turned that camera on, I was like, It's weird. It happens. It happens. I'm you know, occasionally like I get I'm used to it, but I got this, and then I was like, I don't got this. There's there's he's like, you keep cocking your head to one side.
SPEAKER_03I was like, I feel it, and I'm like, it's weird how you you're doing it, and you didn't realize you had these weird ticks or things that you do, and then all of a sudden when you're on camera, they come out.
SPEAKER_04And you talk like you had a cement mixer in your mouth that you can't get it out like you can't get together.
SPEAKER_02You just get that, but no, you think you got it, and then like the more you try and be cool about it, like, oh, it doesn't matter. You see it, and you're like, oh, I should have taken that more seriously. Like, I have some ones that are real embarrassing.
SPEAKER_01So it's like, and just picking everything apart. Yeah, damn, that's stupid. That's horrible.
SPEAKER_02We did this one for the reserve, and we thought it was like real cutting edge at the time, not a green screen. And I'm it looks like the shirt I'm wearing, I found in a dumpster, and the whole time my eyebrows are just like up like this when I'm talking, and I'm like, what is happening?
SPEAKER_01Because in normal, you'd even watching the videos, you're like, damn, why are you being awkward? You know what I mean? Because you're like, you're used to seeing you as a making you sweat while I can't be like a yeah, like a personal conversation, you act completely different than you do if somebody's sticking a camera in your face, you know.
SPEAKER_03All right, well, how do you want to end this? How do we end this tea? Well, I mean thanks for hanging.
SPEAKER_02I think we say, What are you guessed? What are you doing this weekend?
SPEAKER_01Oh this weekend. Uh Saturday is uh the precursor to uh Memorial Day weekend. So uh we're at 85 degrees, so I'll be working on um Saturday. But that being said, a huge shout out to Hannah because it is Hannah's birthday on Friday. So uh probably gonna have a couple drinks uh Friday and Saturday. That's the the plans.
SPEAKER_03It is gonna be a nice weekend, lots of sun. Cheers. See you at Doc Knox. All right. See you next time.
SPEAKER_00Swift tea
