SPEAKER_06

What's up, guys? You're listening to Swifty Podcast. Uh, we're all a little gassed from an epic white party last night, and uh some of us saw the sunrise. Um, and we're gonna see if this one makes it out out of the drafts.

SPEAKER_03

Our next guest is the second most famous person from Marceline, Missouri, only to Walt Disney. He does the soundtrack to your summer. The police might be looking for him because he killed it last night. The dude from Doodeville, ladies and gentlemen, Nick Neymar.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, welcome to the white. Yeah, that was a lot.

SPEAKER_03

There's a lot to talk about. I think we unpack White Party real quick. I mean, I have a point.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, let's get into it.

SPEAKER_03

So Nick and Greasy did White Party again. This is uh your second year doing it?

SPEAKER_04

Second year doing it, yeah. Long time attender, uh first uh, well, second time player, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Nice. It's so fun. And uh you do it with Greasy, and uh like you guys never work together normally, but it seems like you guys work together all the time. I don't know how that works so well.

SPEAKER_04

Uh dude, Greasy's a great dude, by the way. Like uh just great great guy, great DJ, um, you know, great vibes, you know. So it's easy to play with people like that, you know. Um you know cut that. To DJ with people like that, I should say. All right. So uh yeah, you know, it's it's it's really natural, honestly. And uh he he's got he plays great music. We're you know very similar in kind of what we do and everything, and uh so we just it flows good, you know.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, the trans your transition from and you guys like he played, you're you played, he played, and then you went back to playing, so it was really when you when you do something like that, you know.

SPEAKER_04

I always like to ask the other DJ, you know, well, how do you want to do it tonight? Do you want to you know go 30 minutes, 45 minutes, you know? And uh he was like, let's do 30, so just go we'll rip them and that's cool. Some people are like, oh, let's do like one or two songs and you play one or two songs. I'm like, no, that's a little too hard. That's too too quick of a switch. Yeah, yeah. So the sets are sets are better, yeah. Very cohesive.

SPEAKER_03

That party's so wild because it's like you try and keep people off the stage because it just turns into one big melting pot. We do like those stanchions and like try and keep you guys safe, but then it just like it gets to a point where like everybody's just like on top of you, and we're trying to like figure it out. And at one point last night I was like, we need to kick some people off the stage, and then I was like, I know all these people, and everyone's like jumping.

SPEAKER_06

It's hard, it is very hard.

SPEAKER_05

It's like you see one person in the crowd, they like make eye contacts and do a little finger gun, and you're like, you're like, hi, stay down there.

SPEAKER_03

My favorite part of last night that I wanted to talk to you about was so you like looked at me and you looked like something was wrong, and my boy Brandt. So we had we normally get two CO2 tanks, which is more than enough. And then and then Cassie, Cassie wanted to get 22 for the 22 anniversary of the white party. So we went with six, which I thought would have been plenty, but it was not enough. And then last night you go, you look at me and you're like, hey, and you point over at Brant. And so I thought he was spraying your equipment. I was like, oh, that's not cool. So I was like, Brant, chill out. He's like, dude, I'm I'm spraying it over here. And then you like you point at him again. I was like, what's Brandt doing? And then I walk up, I was like, what's going on? You go, he keeps spraying this one drunk girl, man. And I look over and this girl's like, and Brandt's going, shh, and you go, we're gonna get lost.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, dude, why are you spraying that girl? Or though spray down the barrel. Spray down the barrel, bro. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

I go, Brandt's gonna spray that girl.

SPEAKER_05

He needs like to be on timeout for on the CO2 guns because he's the new Chuck.

SPEAKER_03

Leave it to Chuck. He's the new Chuck. Chuck Chuck Chuck loves it so much, but Brant was like, he was.

SPEAKER_06

He's not there yet. No, he just doesn't know how to bump. Well, he's still a beginner.

SPEAKER_04

You said, well, we got we got you know three CO2 tanks or whatever, and you know that should be plenty. And I was like, Well, not if Chuck behind the bell.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You always gotta watch. Never enough for Chuck. Our favorites. So we did the parade, and there's we won the parade two years ago, and um, and then so we were the next year, we're like, we have CO2 guns. Right when we get to the judges, we're gonna spray them off, right? So the whole parade, the judges are at the end of the parade. Chuck's got he's going double gone and he's like dancing with them, and we're like, Chuck, dial it back a little bit. And he couldn't help himself, and he just kept going, and we're like, Chuck, chill. And then we get in front of the judges, and Claire and Nikki grab the CO2 guns, right in front of the judges just go, and Nikki looked at Chuck and I was like, Oh shit.

SPEAKER_05

It was the most anti-climatic. Like I know you like expected to be this big thing, and it's just like the judges were like, more CO2.

SPEAKER_04

He always has the best look on his face when he's when he's shooting it off.

SPEAKER_03

And if you just look over and see him, and he's just smiling ear to ear, and you're like, man, that guy's having a lot the closest thing to Chuck shooting off a CO2 cannon is when they put those glasses on the babies and they see you for the first time, and they're like, It's like he's so happy. I love it.

SPEAKER_06

That's actually a very solid of what it looks like.

SPEAKER_05

It's so much fun. That's like you when you saw the sunrise this morning.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, I had so many dumplings. So we had some dumplings.

SPEAKER_06

I you know what? I did not have any. I am so mad I didn't get a single soup dumpling last time.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, I think we made like eight bags of dumplings right now.

SPEAKER_06

You got none.

SPEAKER_03

So I'm not the best cook. And then the first one I made, Michael Jackson and his brother, shout out Jackson Brothers. They were uh over there, and I I'm I was like, Mike, try one of these. And he ate and he goes, That's ice cold, dude. You can't give these people. I was like, Yeah, I've been drinking. And then I was like, so we had to test them out. So his brother was our official dumpling tester. So he'd go over there, test it, and he's like, Everybody's good. And then everybody come in and eat them. So except Landry.

SPEAKER_06

Take one for the team.

SPEAKER_03

What time did you guys leave?

SPEAKER_06

Uh we put out, we don't need to know. Yeah. I did not leave, I I know I stayed longer than Cassie did.

SPEAKER_03

Cassie left um right when the party started. She said, I know Nick and Grease are great DJs, but I have other things to do. And I was like, That's great. Maybe we'll check on Holly's back and get ready for open house.

SPEAKER_05

We were literally standing on the stage, and like Cassie and I go everywhere together pretty much. Four separate people came up to me. They're like, bro, Cassie just left. And I was like, What? And then we timestamped it, so we have proof of what time she left.

SPEAKER_03

Claire did not handle her leaving very well.

SPEAKER_05

No, you didn't either, I didn't either, Landry didn't, Brian didn't, Lucas didn't.

SPEAKER_03

Claire was ready to go, and I was like, we had Lake Ride pros picking us up, and I go, There was a party ambulance coming to get everybody to take them to our house. And Claire's like, I want to go now. And I was like, if we wait five minutes, there's gonna be a party ambulance. And she goes, Let's just go. And I was like, Party ambulance. And then the Uber didn't come and the party ambulance came.

SPEAKER_06

So have you ever ridden in that? The party ambulance?

SPEAKER_04

I've never ridden in the party ambulance. I see it all the time. Go by. It's fun. It's wild.

SPEAKER_03

It's better than a normal ambulance.

SPEAKER_04

Well the probably cheaper too, because it's more part of the cheaper rides.

SPEAKER_03

Lake Red Pros. So uh how many days because you're playing all over you're on the world tour this year, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, well it's uh yeah, the uh the laws tour is what I you know I called it here. You know, for the summer, obviously, yeah. And uh yeah, a little bit of here and there. Um, you know, level five, um dog days, uh course Lake House 13, um shady gators, do some lazy gators. Yeah um yeah, we're out and about.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, you like it so far? You like venturing out and about?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it is, it is. It's uh, you know, after 10 years on the west side and you know, being over there and living over there, um, you can imagine coming to this side is is a whole different world. A whole different world, you know, it's a whole different experience down here at the lake. And uh it's it's been amazing, it's been fun, you know. It's uh every day is like a new adventure over here. And um, you know, I live uh like five minutes from Walmart, and that's cool. You know what I mean? Dude, yeah, you know Walmart.

SPEAKER_07

Like just little things, you know?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, that's good. So speaking of Sunday Fun Day, that has turned into uh quite the event at the lake. Like, what are some of the craziest things you've seen at Sunday Fun Day at Lake House 13?

SPEAKER_04

You would probably have to pay a subscription to uh you could do that, get those services to be able to have to tell you on you know what I've seen. But uh you know, that thing went from uh uh you know, they used to do karaoke nights on Sunday nights there, and uh which I which I saw a video from it way back then, and uh, you know, it was it was it was good, you know. They had had it going on. But uh, you know, Dustin gave me a phone call and uh this was dude, I mean, long six, seven years ago, you know, whenever we started this thing. Yeah, yeah. Oh my god. See that? And uh and he's like, you know, let's uh let's let's do a DJ on Sunday nights and let's uh you know let's run it. And uh, you know, I started playing in the the little center host stand. Um and it it really started out as an industry party, you know, and everybody when they'd get off work and stuff, they would flood the place and um and uh it really snowballed into what it is today. And it's it's it's grown. You know, I moved to the stage and now we got big sound and lights and and haze. I mean, it's it's yeah, it is what it is. You know, it's it's it's it's legendary on a Sunday night.

SPEAKER_06

Every time we go and uh we get home or whatever, we're talking about me and Brian, and he's like, Man, Nick just he's awesome. He really truly loves your sets.

SPEAKER_03

I really do there's such an energy to that, like more than anything else when you go on those Lake House Sundays, it's like nothing else. There used to be these really cool Sunday Fundays at the Gator at one and two bar, and it's the same energy because it's like you know everybody, so it's like packed, but everybody's in there and it's just it's exciting.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, it's uh it's definitely a uh a lot of fun from my perspective. Um, it's good energy in there. Um, and it's just I I love you know, I look forward to Sunday nights. You know, I love all my gigs, obviously, but Sunday nights are just if you've ever been, you know.

SPEAKER_05

And if you know, you know, you know you know.

SPEAKER_03

We got there last Sunday at like our Sunday Memorial Day like 9:30, 10. And like when we were walking in, they're like, we need 90 people to move their cars, and there's like a line over there, and there's like your car will be towed.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah. They will get they'll get you on that hill. You don't wanna, you know, if you're listening, don't park on the hill. No hills allowed.

SPEAKER_05

And that's why the boat is superior to Sunday Fun Day.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, always boat is superior. I can't believe that Dustin, I think like Dustin is so good at like making stuff sound good, like when it's Cuddy Cabin, uh Lake Oz 13. It's almost like a little nightclub and it's got like big lake feels, and it's like a lot of people that aren't in the industry wouldn't get that, but it's like it's almost like a nightclub in there. It sounds so good.

SPEAKER_05

Because it's all open air, or most of it, you know, which makes like dialing sound in a lot more hard because you gotta appreciate that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I do, I do. And Dustin, uh, he loves that, and he loves uh, you know, uh the nightclub feel and stuff too. And and he's really good with um the audio and the lighting and all that stuff. So everything that you see in there, he did. You know, he put all that together. He's got the going and everything's about he's going through, making sure everything's good. Um because we have blown a couple subs. I've done that. R.I.P.

SPEAKER_03

It happens, you know. It's just part of the process.

SPEAKER_05

You know, it happens.

SPEAKER_03

It's like one of those SpaceX things blows up. It's like it's all part of you know getting higher.

SPEAKER_05

I thought you were gonna say the submarine.

SPEAKER_03

The what, the submarine? RIP submarine. Yes. We actually uh Brant went missing last night, your boy with the CLT. Speaking of submarines, yeah. And we were like, uh, I think we were we were like, we were making toast to him last night and we're like, Brandt, R.I.P. couldn't make it. And then Michael Jackson's like, man, I'm not worried about Brant. Let's talk about it's the 250th anniversary of America. They're like, USA.

SPEAKER_06

That's gonna be wild speaking of. Yeah. For 4th of July at Lake House 13 on Sunday Funday.

SPEAKER_03

Are they are you guys gonna go late, late on that? Everyone's scared of it.

SPEAKER_04

Well, um, we've been tossing around the idea. Oh my god. You know, and uh please, you know, I think uh, you know, a lot of people are opting out of doing it, and so if one place maybe opted in, it could be uh something.

SPEAKER_03

So don't park on the hill.

SPEAKER_04

Don't park on the hill. Don't park on the home park on the hill. Those extra hours will definitely get you that night. So uh yeah, you know, that's uh yeah, with the the World Cup uh and everything, and uh you know, I had opportunities to to go back to Kansas City and do stuff there, but it's you know, it's gonna be a lot and you know, bouncing, going and doing stuff like there during the week and then coming back down here. It's just you know, I really wanted to keep the focus on the lake this summer and um you know making sure that every place that I'm at gets the best show and I'm not you know wearing myself out or you know too thin or anything like that, and you know, we just throw a party, you know, a good one.

SPEAKER_06

So you DJ in uh Kansas City quite a bit in the offseason though.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So uh yeah, yeah. I uh that's where I live in the offseason. Uh I've I've lived there since 2015, um, which was the same year that I came down to the lake, um, oddly enough. And uh, but yeah, so I do a lot of gigs in the offseason there. I also go down to like Miami and Tampa, and uh we do um it's called Shut Up and Dance, and it's uh it's like a headphone disco party thing. I mean, it's not really disco, but it's three DJs, and you know, everybody's got a different color, and uh, so it'll be like you know, the rock boat, um, it'll be like these big like music festivals and stuff, which Sasquatch, you know, we'll talk about him later coming up. You know, he played on there. Um, but we just got off of uh the guys from Workaholics. Um I did their cruise. Um it was literally like a four-day frat party. I mean, just keg stands on the pool deck and and and just comedy. They had all kinds of awesome comedians on that cruise. Um, so those are a ton of fun. And um, so uh yeah, just kind of you know, a little everywhere here and there.

SPEAKER_03

Where's the main spots in Kids City? Because every time we go up, we try and catch you at 10 roof around games, and you guys kill them, and that's cool. Is it the 10 roof? And then there's the one place I want to go that looks like a house party that you DJ, I forget what it's called. No, it's like it looks like you're like a there's a ton of people, it's like a little room. Uh where else do you DJ up there? I'm trying to think.

SPEAKER_04

Um let's I mean, honestly.

SPEAKER_03

Can I give you a vaguer description of a place?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, people on a roof, house party.

SPEAKER_03

Um but is 10 roof the big spot for you up there? Where else is it?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I I do a lot of stuff at 10 roof. Um there's also some other spots there in Westport. Um, the landing, Westport landing, the patio out there, uh Barn Wreck, a lot of different spots there, uh Jungle. Um, but I've I've been doing a lot of stuff on the uh KC live stage. Which is a lot of fun. That's power and light, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Um and sometimes I've done I've done like a like a 90s party there where we did the music videos up on the big video wall, and uh I did uh I opened for Bonnie and Clyde, you know, for St. Patrick's Day um there. That was fun. So that's another, you know, big stage, big lights, big sound. I love it. I eat that stuff up.

SPEAKER_06

Casey's the best. How did you get into DJing? Have you always I mean you've probably loved music or have been musically inclined, but how did you get started?

SPEAKER_04

Uh so when I was in high school, well, when in school, uh I played drums and uh I was I always loved the drums, always loved music, and eventually that led me, you know, I played in like the band and stuff like that, and uh so I ended up having a like like a kind of like an alternative rock band. And um so my dad bought a PA system for this band, all right. So um one night my cousin is like, yo, you should bring that PA system over and hook a computer up to it, play some music. My parents are going out of town.

SPEAKER_07

I was like, Hell yeah. Yeah, house party.

SPEAKER_04

Sounds cool, I'm in, you know. So I did. I packed it up the mixer and the two speakers, and I had a little laptop, and uh dude, we had a house party, and uh I was I was I was the DJ, you know. I was playing the music off my computer, and uh it was literally uh like a Windows media player, and it would just like crossfade in the next song, and I was like, yeah, you know, people loved it, you know. You cook, do you cook? People were like, yeah, yo, and I made a I remember I made a hundred dollars in just tips that night. People just came up and I I was like, oh, that was cool. That was cool, yeah, yeah. And uh, you know, I was like, I'm gonna I'm gonna do this. So I just started doing like small weddings and and gigs and stuff like that, and then eventually um, you know, got into getting some decks and started mixing the music a little bit more, and then it snowballed, you know, from there. And uh so really it was you know being being in the band and just being musically inclined, you know, shout out to my uh my music teacher, Mr. Park. He uh you know held it down, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So you basically kind of taught yourself, just yeah, giving it all.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, for sure. You know, um yeah, pretty much. That's you know, just just kind of figuring it all out. And um, you know, I didn't really have anybody to kind of teach me or anything like that. So I just kind of rolled with it, and uh, you know, there wasn't a lot of you know YouTube videos and stuff back then that on how to DJ and stuff. So that's really what it what it was was just kind of figuring out yourself and mixing and mashing stuff up.

SPEAKER_06

Do you listen to like music when you're driving or just all day long? And then because it's like how do you choose what songs, you know what I mean, and to mix or to to bring out depending on where you're DJing and the party is?

SPEAKER_04

Well, it definitely depends on yeah, where you're at. So like I I try to be as open format as possible, just like try to like you know know as much music as I can. That way I can always shift, you know, if you need to shift and everything. Yeah, everywhere is obviously different, you know, with the sets. Um so like one thing, like if I am going back to KC or coming back, um I have serious XM. So like I'll just like start scrolling and like I'll be like, oh, I've never heard that one before. Shazam, you know, and uh, you know, so I'll just I'll just roll through all the stations and and listen to all kinds of genres and stuff. And of course, I you know, off days I'm always I'm literally I work on music like every day. Yeah, like I'm I'm I'm trying to like you know, mu music's coming out every day so and and new stuff, so I'm trying to make sure that every weekend, you know, I'm bringing some different stuff and a different vibe and and stuff like that. So it's like you're I'm constantly listening to music.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. What what uh genre you think is like coming back or making a big comeback?

SPEAKER_04

Man, you know, I that's a that's a great question. Um you know, I don't I don't I don't know as far I I like one thing off that I I did the other night Saturday night at Lake House. Um this girl came up and she was like, Can you play a drum and bass set? And I was like, I've never played like I have it, but I've never, you know, I've played a little bit out. Yeah, I played like a small little set um from the Bonnie and Clyde show, but I had like a folder of it that I worked on for that. I was like, you know what? Okay, I'll do it. And uh boom, knocked out a for like an hour solid drum and bass, and that's like 174 BPM. I mean, we were up there.

SPEAKER_07

Up there, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And it was and I was afterwards I was just thinking, I was like, wow, I've never done that before. And that was like, you know, that's just it's not you know, it's just it's like you know, people were getting down with it, and so I thought that was kind of crazy.

SPEAKER_05

But do you uh do you like when people give you song requests? Yeah, and so you're saying next time I'll instead of Instagram DMing you, I'll just Venmo you and have the song to show you.

SPEAKER_03

It's the QR code. It's official. Well, a lot of DJs, like we uh when we were at Shady's, you know, we hear a million DJs, we used to do the DJ competition, and there's DJs down here where you're like, you know the next song that they're gonna play. Sure. And it's like the it's like a stand-up set where you like hear it again, but like every time you play, it's like nothing. Like like in the middle of uh in the middle of uh Lake Australian to like uh what is it, the Meek Mills nightmares and like I was like, fuck yeah, like out of nowhere. I'm like, that's just wild, like you don't know what you're gonna play. So that's what makes it so fun. And I feel like Dustin lets you like play a little bit more of just yeah, all open format, just whatever you want to hear, type of shit.

SPEAKER_04

For sure. And I mean he he trusts me um on that deal, and uh and I I mean I have full full control, really. I mean, it's it's it's it's just playing, you know, the good music, right music, right time and everything, and uh just keep you know a fun party going.

SPEAKER_03

So we've like we've done a bunch of like really fun parties or big parties like last night, yeah. But we've also like in party throwing days, I've thrown some bad parties where it's like nobody's there and it's like when it's fun you couldn't feel cool or couldn't feel awesome. But like you've we've done stuff where you're like, this sucks. Have you ever like done a gig where you're like, what am I? I have two more hours of this, or like, yeah, I'm sure you have, it's just part of the gig.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, for sure. Especially, you know, uh in the early years and stuff like you. I mean, that that's gonna happen from time to time, you know. Um, just depending on what you get hired for and stuff, and you know, uh you just gotta bring it every time. You just gotta bring it every time. You know, there's definitely times where I'm like looking myself in the mirror and I'm like, yo, pull together, entertain the people. Yeah, that's what you hear. Give the people what they want. That's right. So I always try to put on a show, man. You know, no matter what.

SPEAKER_06

No matter what. So do you like just like two people or a bunch of kids out there? Yeah, still, whatever. Let's go, let's go.

SPEAKER_05

Who wasn't the DJ that uh just DJ'd his like kindergarten sons graduation party or something? Did you see that on the diplo?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's funny.

SPEAKER_05

Imagine just Like DJing to a bunch of kindergartners, like doing babies started.

SPEAKER_04

There's actually a guy that goes around and does uh like baby rave.

SPEAKER_05

I would go to a baby rave as a baby. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

There was uh I think it was Scotty Boy played at Lazy's one time, and we had like an opener that didn't show up. And this is like we were buddies, but you were there with Brian. This is like a long time ago, and we needed there was a bunch of people already dancing in front of the stage, and we needed somebody up there. So Landry just went up there and put headphones on and just danced, and everyone's dancing. I was like, this is crazy.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I was like, oh, we'll go with that. We'll go with that.

SPEAKER_05

Landry is a pretty good DJ, not to you know, tutor on winter about it, but DJ just kidding.

SPEAKER_06

It literally reminds me of the plane ride from Vegas.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Cut back and we uh we have a really cool friend named Jeff, and he has a plane, and sometimes he takes us places.

SPEAKER_05

My name is Jeff.

SPEAKER_03

And uh we were leaving Las Vegas, and uh we're getting on his plane, and Landry like little kidding me, walked up to me and put her hand on my shoulder, and she goes, I'm gonna have to sit next to you on the plane. And I go, Why? She goes, Claire and Brian want to kill you, right? And I was like, Am I being that bad? And she goes, Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And then you just proceeded to sit there and scream in my ear.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I couldn't talk, so I just kept making that weird noise in my voice.

SPEAKER_06

I was like, I'm like, well, you still have to do that. But we sat by the bar. Yeah, that was real.

SPEAKER_03

Shocker. But uh, before we get too far off white parties, shout out Mickelson. So we did that AI video, which was uh awesome. You were in the hot air balloon, I believe. And uh, and there was a lot of people that were like, Man, I can't believe that you got a helicopter, you get and it was like AI's getting so tricky where people don't get it. I think, especially some older people that are like, sure. There was people that were like, dude, Mark got a white Lincoln now, and I'm like, that's not real. And they go, what part? And I'm like, the whole thing. The whole thing. The whole thing. So the the point of the video is like it doesn't matter how you get there, just get there. So I don't even know if you know this, but Jason Angela Mickelson, it was their uh 26th wedding anniversary yesterday. They were in Iowa and they were sitting by a pool and they were like, We need to go there, it doesn't matter how you get there, you should just get there. This was at like 7:30, and we're like, they're full of shit. At 9 30, they go, We rented a plane, we're coming. It doesn't, and they go, it doesn't matter how you get there, you just get there. And I'm like, You're shitting me. They, I'm like, you're joking. They're send us pictures on the plane, and then they show up and they're like, We're it was so cool. And then they had to go wheels up, they left at like 12 45. But like, that's how cool that party is that someone's like, I have to be there, chartered a plane for three hours, jumped around. I mean, that's so cool. That couldn't be cooler. Happy anniversary. That was so dope. Yeah, that's cool.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it really is. I mean, it's a good thing.

SPEAKER_02

Yesterday was Tuesday. That's crazy.

SPEAKER_04

And it's it's a big, it's a big who's who party, you know. I mean, it's like you're looking out there, and I'm just like, you see everyone, yeah, and you know everyone. And and then, but you there's people from you know, Kansas City coming down, St. Louis, and yeah, they're coming from everywhere, you know, and they're coming in just for that. And then you got other people, well, why are they doing it on Tuesday night? Well, that's how we get it. That's how it works. That's how it works here at the Landscape. That's you know, that's when uh you know, obviously a lot of the industry parties happen on Tuesdays and stuff. That's always kind of been a thing.

SPEAKER_06

So um I mean, could you imagine if if we threw that party or if they threw that party off? Saturday house to charge like $50 to be insane. It would be insane. Yeah. I mean, but I guess it's like any other like zero ducks or you know, but still right.

SPEAKER_03

We had uh like nine boxes of those light up sticks, and I feel like we could have done a better job distributing them because everyone was just taking handfuls and throwing them to the same person, and they'd be like, It didn't go very far. There'd be like one girl with like 20 of them, and then someone just throw 10 more at them, and I'm like, guys, let's get these spread out a little bit. Well, you can't throw them.

SPEAKER_05

I guess we if we could I mean if you can spray someone in the face with CO2, you can throw a foam stick at them.

SPEAKER_03

Actually, we turned the whole box on and I went to the bathroom because there's a big line in the bathroom and I said it there, and I go.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, I actually was over there. I I saw some these people are just like, here you go, here you go, Mike.

SPEAKER_02

I said I go, hey, when you're done peeing, get a light up stick, and this girl's like, fuck yeah.

SPEAKER_05

People go crazy over like those are what, like a dollar light up sticks to make, probably, and it's like we'll eat it up.

SPEAKER_03

It just makes the like the whole like ambiance of everything. It's like its own property, it looks so cool. So those are so sweet.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, they even do that like um like uh Saturday nights there at the Westport Lane in Kansas City. Every Saturday night at midnight, they hand out glow sticks. I mean, they just go crazy over them. There's literally this girl last night, she's like, Hey, can I have one of those? This was like before they were like going out, and uh, I was like, Oh, I think we're gonna, I think we gotta wait for a little bit. And she's like, Okay, she turned around and walks away, and I like look up at the crowd, and there's like 15 people with glow sticks.

SPEAKER_07

I'm like, oh shoot.

SPEAKER_04

I guess, yo. Come back, come back. We we were hoarding like 2,500 glow sticks on the stage. I'm like, my bad. You can't you gotta wait. Sorry, little shoddy. Oh, I guess they do. My bad.

SPEAKER_05

If you're listening, this we'll uh we'll give you a glow stick for sure.

SPEAKER_04

Just four glow sticks. Yeah, rather get a glow stick again.

SPEAKER_03

That's how Hannah got that surfside.

SPEAKER_05

Uh yeah, the surfside chain, baby. Shout out to Surfside. Shout out Hannah.

SPEAKER_03

Lighting up the night. I couldn't be more happy about this sponsor. Do we even get the sponsors now? This is a whole bunch of things. Sponsor babies super lights.

SPEAKER_05

Let me get a little AS4 for you.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So the Super Lights, the only thing they're doing everything right is that the oranges are my favorite by far. Really? So I could do the big picture or blue is the best. Blue's the best.

SPEAKER_05

Blue is the black.

SPEAKER_04

You told me it was green. Blue is the best.

SPEAKER_03

Well, yeah, because I wanted all the orange. Well, we can try every single one.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, we got plenty.

SPEAKER_03

Have you had the orange?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I haven't had any. This would be good for the three. Oh, you haven't had them at all? There's so good.

SPEAKER_05

They are literally a game changer because you're getting hydrated while you dehydrate yourself. Oh wow. I had probably we did the great American challenge thing.

SPEAKER_03

What was that crazy shit? Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Pause for comedic timing.

SPEAKER_03

How good's that? Cheers.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, that's delicious. I know. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

So um, our friends, we had a dock party because you know, we're at the lake, and we had three teams of four people. You had we called it the Great American Challenge. So each team had to drink 30 McUltras, 12 super lights. We had to eat an entire pizza um that we all got delivered from Domino's. Like this Domino's guy came down the entire hill, walked all the way down to the dock, and dropped the pizzas off. And then so before you or like after you finished all of that, then you had to start on a 200-piece puzzle. And then whoever, like it took us an hour and four minutes to do all of it. And you won. My team won. Shout out blue team. Shout out blue team.

SPEAKER_03

Shout out blue team. I could crush all that puzzle would get to the phone.

SPEAKER_06

But you had to, you didn't each like you had to as a team consume the 30. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

So like it didn't matter if like pizza Swift ate you know, four pieces of pizza. But we had kind of all said like the math, I think, was like eight or something drinks per person, two pieces of pizza. So um, like I drank a couple more super lights because the guys were drinking beer, and that's obviously harder to go down, but it was it's it's like a super mix.

SPEAKER_03

When is that by the way? It's coming up, right? This upcoming Tuesday. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

No way.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they're bringing B back to B BMC.

SPEAKER_05

Nice. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

Next boy. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That uh those surfside chains. Hannah posted a really cool picture on like the national like surfside deal, and and so they give one away, uh they give one a week, right?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's like the no bubbles, no troubles.

SPEAKER_03

So then I was like, I gotta win one. So I wore a beaver head mask and I took on and I won it, but the last day it was between me and an old folks home. Oh, and all these old people were like at it, and they were like cute. And I was like, I'm not, I was texting everybody to go, you gotta vote for me. Vote for me in this beat. I was texting people from high school, like, you gotta vote for me. And I won by like one percent, but we got two chains in the chains, two chains. Yeah, and that old folks home, come at me next time. I'm a winner. Read them and we money winners. No chains. I mean, old folks home with no chains. I feel bad. I don't they should have brought it harder.

SPEAKER_07

No, literally.

SPEAKER_05

When it comes to when it comes to Michael Swift, like he will die before he loses something. That's fine. Whether it's a race or oh my word.

SPEAKER_03

No, these super lights, they're my new favorite drink. But the orange, if you do a shot, so it's vodka based, but if you do a shot of vanilla vodka in it, you go creamsicle mode.

SPEAKER_07

Whoa.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, and that's when it's so good. On ice, it's really good.

SPEAKER_05

They're really easy to shotgun, too. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. We're at Lake House, and Hannah can open up our shotgun stuff with her teeth. So I'll be like, Hannah, open this. So we were like passing beers and shotgun up at Lake House on Sunday. It's pretty pretty wild.

SPEAKER_04

Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_06

I'll do it right now. Your dentist is like, oh, what do you think?

SPEAKER_04

Wouldn't matter. I I already got spilled and stuff. Swift said, Wear your outfit from last night.

SPEAKER_05

I didn't take it off and select.

SPEAKER_03

We made the agreement, and then we go, no matter what, you gotta wear your outfit. And the Landry's like, I'm wearing this. And I was like, I'm gonna try and throw up on you at the end of the night so you have to wear it.

SPEAKER_05

My dress is in the washing machine right now because it has stayed.

SPEAKER_03

I think I threw mine in the trash. This is gonna be trash. I don't know how to wash this thing.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, just put in like one of those mesh sacks. So wait, did you buy this from somewhere?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I ordered this two years ago. It's nice. It got here like late. So this is a really good one. I ordered this in I think. Where'd you order it from? What's that?

SPEAKER_07

China.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. Somewhere in Italy. John Flippo knows where it is. He orders John Flippo ordered a suit from there.

SPEAKER_07

It was probably expensive.

SPEAKER_03

Our buddy's uh Loud Luxury. He got married in one of their great close to friends, our friend's loud luxury. We've met up a couple. We had dinner with Maryland. Yeah, yeah. That was fun. That was super cool.

SPEAKER_05

I love loud luxury.

SPEAKER_03

That was uh they're from uh Canada, or the one guy's from Can or where Drake's from, and we were talking. It was right when uh Toronto. We were talking about it.

SPEAKER_05

Anyway, I love what do you think about Drake's new album, Iceman? I mean, three albums, because he's shocked us all and dropped three albums at once.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean, uh it's it's yeah, I mean it's it's it's it's good. I don't I'm not convinced he hates it.

SPEAKER_03

I'm team Drake, but that I I can't get into the new show.

SPEAKER_04

Not gotten any requests for any of the songs.

SPEAKER_06

So I mean it's good, but that is like music. I love rap like in like the old school 90s. Yeah, like that. Well, the three album thing was jam, but now it is so different.

SPEAKER_02

It's very different.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, shebang is pretty pretty good.

SPEAKER_03

I don't even know what that is.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my god, it's like so.

SPEAKER_03

The three album deal is that it'll get out of his contract with Universal, and now he's gonna go like on his own. So he just he had three deal uh three albums left, so he just released all that to get out of it.

SPEAKER_05

So I was really hoping he was gonna have like a Lil Wayne feature on one of the songs because he like advertised like Iceman and Fireman, and it was a picture of both of them, and then there just wasn't a Lil Wayne song on there. I wish he would have had us.

SPEAKER_02

And I was like, oh Cassie likes Cassie likes it.

SPEAKER_05

Shebang's good. Back me up, please. Janna, shut the fuck up. Yeah. He literally on my Instagram dump from the White Party. Yeah, I there's a song, and he says like something about the White Party. Like, I sent you the lyrics, and so then I put that as my song behind my pictures. So shout out Drake.

SPEAKER_03

Damn, I wasn't with that. But also, Drake, though, I couldn't appreciate this from you, but so when we were at Gator Forever on NFT, it was like my Super Bowl end of the year, but it was always we'd play over, and then like even for office or for everything, it's such a applicable song because it's like I know way too many people here right now that I didn't know last year. And it's like it gets me so jacked up. And like the fact that you've picked up like done that and you'll play that at the end of the night some night, I'll like run through a wall when I hear that. I get so excited. It's it's so exciting.

SPEAKER_04

I can see it literally from the stage, and and I know I know, and I'll I'll look out there and I'll see you arms wide open, and you're like, yes, and I'm like, he's in it.

SPEAKER_05

How many times has he held up his phone while you're DJing and it says play over by Drake?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Several. Does that get annoying when when people do that?

SPEAKER_04

Or do you get um it it it depends? Uh yeah, it's you know, I mean that's that's obviously been you know how people are are you know requesting songs. But you know, it's it's all about the approach, really. You know what I mean? It's like, you know, you miss out, and like some people come up like, hey, you know, could could you do this? You mind if and you know, I don't mind song requests at all because sometimes you know sometimes people will put something up and I'm like, yo, that's a good one. Yeah, I'll play it next. And like, especially, especially if I if I'm somewhere where like I can play their song request, like literally the next song, and I'll just like oh, and then just like boom, start like mashing it into the next song, and they're like, Whoa.

SPEAKER_06

Blew their minds, yeah. Oh, yes, I did that.

SPEAKER_04

So and it's like they're like that's awesome, you know. Like I live for those moments. I love that stuff. Yeah, mate.

SPEAKER_03

You want to hear something you make fun of me about? This is this is good, and I don't think we've told this story yet. Just lock in. But we uh we always go to boat races. We have a bunch of friends that live in QS because we go back and forth, and uh and Jim and Summer are like the coolest people in the world. Jim took us down on his boat from Miami to QS for boat races. So uh uh him and Summer stayed on the boat, the sorensons and us stay on the boat. Jim is the best, and so he takes us to this island, Fisher Island. It's like a subscription-based deal. You got to be a member there. There's peacocks. I'm taking pictures of Nikki and Peacocks. I'm like, how'd you guys even get peacocks? And they're like, Oprah's got a house here. I'm like, is she here? Like, what's going on? You get a peacock, you'll get a peacock. It was peacocks. It was this bar was crazy, but they made these margaritas, and I hate pulp. And it was like, I mean, you could. I was eating, I was eating this margarita, and I just and then we stop by uh ocean reef, another place. It's like another subscription or like thing that Jim Best hosts, unbelievable time. Like, so we so all this stuff, and then we get on the boat, and that uh Chris Hager usually DJs the boat, and so he wasn't there. So Jim's like, Swift, you're on music. I'm like, I got this. So I got a playlist, now I got a playlist, whole boat. It's it's like over hit, unbelievable. All our friends are there, and then in the middle of it, I'm like, I gotta switch to big booty mix because that nirvana opened. So I'm like, I'm gonna do this. So plays it. I don't have ads turned off on my YouTube, so a whole boat full of baller ass people, and then everyone's jumping on the boat, and then it goes, Do you have allergies and need clericine on something? I was like, I was so embarrassed, and then afterwards I thought about all the stuff that Jim like paid for, like, and I was like, And then you can't do it. I didn't have $12 ads to it.

SPEAKER_05

Do people have subscriptions to entire fucking islands and you don't have a subscription to Spotify for me to grow?

SPEAKER_03

I put it on the buy it? No, I put it on the list for Cassie to buy it. Oh still. It's on the list for Cassie to turn it off. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I just downloaded Spotify like last month and I already have premium.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, that was like when I heard the clariton ad, I was like, Which phone is that? Whoops, whose phone is that?

SPEAKER_07

Everybody goes dead side, everybody goes swept, swept.

SPEAKER_05

That is like the worst when you're like on aux or something, like on a boat or like wherever you're at, and like like some one of your like unhinged save songs that you have pops up, you're like, oh shit, shit, like next, next, next. It's like a like a minute of panic.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, that's a hard like launch from that to Do you like big rooty mixes?

SPEAKER_04

I love them. Yeah, yeah. They and you know, the a lot goes into making that, you know, and uh they're uh I you can see they've shown their production before, and you just see their screen, and there's I mean they got stuff everywhere, and you know, they're they're killing those.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you've got to meet Jason DeRuishi, yeah, like so. He's the man, but one of the cool stories was he had twins uh last year or two years ago when he had his kids.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, last year.

SPEAKER_03

So on the the two friends rider, you have to have a picture of two friends in the green room, and he had his kids three days before they played. So the picture and the rider were the twins. Oh, the two friends. That's cool as shit. I love stuff like that.

SPEAKER_02

That's amazing.

SPEAKER_03

There was uh like all the rider stuff's really weird. There was uh I think it was Blink 182, didn't want to um didn't want to play places, so on their rider it was like you could they wanted a skeleton of a baby monkey or something. Like people were like, How do you do that? Oh my god. Hopefully not.

SPEAKER_05

What's the little monkey's name? What would be what would be on your writer's lunch?

SPEAKER_04

Um you know, I've I you know you know I don't I don't I wouldn't need a lot, you know. I really don't I I it it depends on you know, a lot of times people have a lot of stuff on the writers because like Steve Ayoki had a lot of stuff, but he had a show that he was going to uh you know right after that. So like they He's gotta eat lunch and yeah, like dude, they'll get they'll get like packs of shirts and like underwear and stuff, and it's like dude, they just you just toss that stuff, you know what I mean? It's like when you're out there like that, you just you know, uh hair products and you know, just all kinds of you you name toothpaste, all that stuff. You you name it, but yeah, then you'll get some people there like I'm the only blue MS. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You'll get yeah, your crazy uh baby monkey skeletons kind of weird. That's you know, but yeah.

SPEAKER_03

It was uh bullying. When I was at the toad, there was bigger acts there, and there was like riders, and one was like bowling for soup. They needed porn, so we had to go buy uh no, we had to go get uh like a party code DUD from uh the Lafadas. It was really weird, and then uh on air supplies, there was like the I forget what uh I think it's like I'm all out of love. I guess what he's gonna do. But they needed uh 12 dozen white roses and red roses, and I'm like, dude.

SPEAKER_05

Come on. Come on. What would be on your rider if you were a DJ? All kinds of weird shit. Yeah, could you imagine his writer? Actually, I need four orange super lights and soup dumplings.

SPEAKER_03

The uh the one thing, uh Miss Pat, the comedian, uh, she's the best, but she was like, she has a big wine cellar, and she says on every rider, her assistant, they have a list of all the wines, yeah, and she doesn't even drink wine, but she's like, I want this bottle, this bottle, this bottle. She doesn't drink and puts them in her bag and then goes, puts it in her wine cellar. Oh, actually. And I'm like, that's some next level thinking stuff.

SPEAKER_04

So yeah, you can look at you can look up people's writers, a lot of them online and stuff, and uh, you know, and see that stuff. Uh, you know, if you're ever interested in seeing people's riders, but yeah, there's some crazy stuff. I've seen some crazy stuff dude.

SPEAKER_03

Uh your uh you and your boy Mitchell were on stage at Lake House a c a couple years ago and you had a water gun full of tequila. And it was so funny, like out of a cartoon, because no matter wherever Landry sat, it kept landing like on the side of her head, and then she like consciously moved to the other side and guys brought it in there.

SPEAKER_02

She's like, what is going on?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm not sure why we thought that was a good idea. That's terrible. We picked that bad boy up at the gas station on the way, and it was originally filled with green tea, and we were just kind of shooting it in people's mouths, but then the night got lit. And there might have been a little cross mixture of the two in there. Yeah, I remember Mitchell was like pumping that thing up, and I'm like, dude, that's a lot of pumps. That thing's gonna squirt all the way across, and then he shot her all the way across the room, and I was like, there was like this one dude who was like smoked right in the face, and he was so mad. He was so mad, and he came like rushing the stage, and I was like, oh, like, we'll water go, we'll wanna go, yeah, we'll wanna go.

SPEAKER_05

We should we should put some super lights in some water guns when we go out and just like you like the backpack water gun, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_04

With like the little electricity, don't give them anyway.

SPEAKER_07

Sorry, sorry.

SPEAKER_03

One of my favorite uh like those front tables, uh, people dance on them, yeah, and they're awesome. And our buddy Q our buddy Casey from QS hit the splits on them one time that got kicked out. It was amazing. There's a video of it.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah, there's a video of it.

SPEAKER_05

Seeing it.

SPEAKER_03

It was wild. That was scary. Shout out Casey, he's the man.

SPEAKER_05

But uh he got kicked out of Lake House for doing the splits, right? They never kicked out.

SPEAKER_03

It's a party start, he's a big dude and he can do it. So he's uh he also uh he won a drag queen contest in Q West, a big fun fundraiser. Yeah, and his uh drag name was Winona Juggs. Amazing, dude. He's the fucking man, he's the mayor of QS, he's the fucking one. Dude, he's the man. Yeah, I love it, Dad. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Uh but uh uh Cassie, when she um she started hanging out a little bit more, yeah, so she got into party mode and she was dancing on a table, and Nikki was looking out for her, and she was dancing with her purse, and it was one of the funniest interactions of two chicks I've ever seen. Nikki's like screaming at Cassie, and I'm like, what's going on? And Nikki grabs her purse and rips it off her like shoulder, and she goes, If you're gonna do hot girl shit, you can't have your purse on you.

SPEAKER_02

And I was like, damn, I was like, Good look it out. Like, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But she was just doing it right, yeah. Yeah, hyperbag.

SPEAKER_05

We were on the Landry and I were on the tables at Lake House 13 Memorial Day weekend, and there were so many cans of surfside and other stuff on the table. So Landry and I like looked down at my younger brothers, are like, clear a path, like so we could walk back and forth. It was so funny.

SPEAKER_04

I love Lake House. It is, it's it's a lot of fun over here. I've got so many crazy videos from that place, just so much you know, crazy stuff and funny stuff, and like literally, there's there's this one video, and uh, I'm like filming my buddy, and he had like just ordered these like Vegas bombs, and they're like sitting there on like a tray, and there's this girl that's like dancing on the on the bar, like right by him, and she just hits like the splits and like Trey goes flying off, and I go right to his face, and he's like I was like, yo, that's hilarious.

SPEAKER_03

Like there was a twerk contest, and one time it was like a dude twerk us or something, and Chuck was there. Yeah, and I look over, and Chuck is like, I'll never be in as good as Shake as Chuck is now, and he's in like He has money boxers on and he's doing pull-ups on the bar. Like I was like, oh my God.

SPEAKER_02

Dude, it was crazy. I was like, dude, that was so wild.

SPEAKER_06

He always has like nice bunnies, but oh, that's good. You never want to wear that idea.

SPEAKER_04

And then we cover them white tidies up there.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, they were talking uh earlier this week about peak male physical fitness, and they were like, Well, you and me are at the top of it, you know. And I was like, I get I get it, I get it, I get it. But uh what you guys were saying, like you know, real male, and uh and I was like I think we said Riley Green was, but whatever. I don't know, but anyway, so it's not Riley Orange. Speaking of orange, orange super lights, uh but uh but when you were you went speedo at uh uh oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like you were like is a speedo coming back? You were tiring that because I thought you would go like, hey, I'm in a speedo and like get in, get out. You were like, you'd go all out, man.

SPEAKER_04

It was like yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Um yeah, you know, speedo headband and uh didn't you have like a wig or something? You're killing or just a headband? I uh I have a lot of thing of props. Or no, you put it in your pants. Yeah, clip it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I actually had to um uh get the like the little bro like brawl insert and I had to put it in my pants because some of those uh some of those were a little tight. I think they came from China and uh uh men's and medium in China's a little different than we're here. So that's it. So yeah, I never thought I'd have such a large collection of of Speedos, and they're just on the shelf right now. So you never know if they're gonna come out or you know. It is you know, 4th of July. 200.

SPEAKER_05

Sounds like you need to wear a speedo to make party go great again.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, if you can get to make party go great again and then get if you work that night, that is fun. That's coming up. It's so much fun. So we're in the mix. When is that? Yes, yeah, there's a lot going on.

SPEAKER_05

July 25th, 26th. Let's grab a good time. 16th. Oh, yeah, I always get them confused. Yeah, it's your birth Nikki's birthday weekend. Speaking of 4th of July week, where else are you gonna be 4th of July weekend besides Sunday, Funday, Lake Out 16th?

SPEAKER_04

That is a great question. Um I'll have to look at my calendar, but uh believe that weekend is uh level five um during the day. Um obviously uh Shady Gators Friday night. Um five, I believe they're gonna be there for the Zero Ducks Given. Um with Snow West Coast. Yeah. Um and then I might be there on Sunday too. I'm not sure. I probably should have looked at that before the podcast. That's okay. We'll pop your skin. It is on yeah, it is uh the the whole um the whole list of everywhere that I'm playing each weekend and all that stuff. It is on my website, DJnikneyer.com. Oh yeah, so if you ever ever looking, there's also um you know some different sub spots out there that that have some stuff for me as well. So um yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

How was your uh AOG experience with all that? That had to look wild.

SPEAKER_04

That and it was unreal. Yeah, it really was. And and uh to to see that down here, I was I was I mean, I don't know what you compare to Vegas, maybe. I mean that's a lot, you know, it's uh you know, and being on the stage and looking up and just seeing the amount of people, and I was like, wow, this is really crazy. And then uh, you know, everybody packed the stage there, um, the pools were packed, the VIP was packed. I mean, uh and and the whole the whole crew over there did did great. The hospitality was great, they were they were running around all that's a big property to to cover, you know, side to side, up and down. Um you're really moving, but dude, the sound is amazing, the the videos, the video walls are cool. I get to do like visuals and music videos and stuff over there. Um but C-Man's got all that dialed in, right?

SPEAKER_03

He's doing the walls and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Got her got her dialed in. Um, but I mean, and then Steve came out and just I mean, absolutely tore us, you know, ripped a set. It was amazing. And and and he loved it. Uh, you know, and he told him that uh that he wanted to come back, you know, multiple times and gave him a big uh shout out you know on Instagram and stuff like that. So he's posting stuff, yeah. Yeah, and that's you know, that's huge, you know, especially for an artist like him.

SPEAKER_05

So is he like probably one of the coolest guys you've met doing the DJ stuff, or is there like another celebrity that's been like cooler or more famous than I don't you know it it really depends.

SPEAKER_04

Uh everyone that I've met usually is is pretty nice or cool, you know, to an extent. There was one guy who was kind of a beehole. Uh-oh. Who's the beehole? Goose by the name Ludacris. He wasn't very cool. Luta Luda. Yeah, he was uh that was that was one of the first people I opened for, and that was back in college. And uh yeah, he was he I remember there was tell you to get out of the way? Yeah, literally, dude. I remember there was this there was a meet and greet, and um, you know, all these kids were excited for this meet and greet and everything. And he goes back there to it, and then his his entourage, he had an entourage around him the whole whole way, and uh they're like, all right, everybody get in one photo, and he's gonna take one photo, and meet and greet's over. And I'm thinking, dang, you're grouping all these people into one photo. That's wild. And so, yeah, and so I I I I of course was in the photo, but it was behind like a green screen, and I wore green. And uh it's just a floating edge. So it looks like I have like yeah, yeah. And I'm like, man, so that sucks. Yeah, but you know, so that was crazy, but you know, yeah, I usually everybody's pretty cool, you know. And everybody everybody knows, you know, they're out on the road doing this or you know, wherever, and you know, got it.

SPEAKER_06

It's like that's that's what you're doing. You kind of have to expect and be like, well, if you don't like it, then don't you're literally an entertainer.

SPEAKER_03

Like, yeah, don't do a meet and greet then. Right, yeah. Yeah, it's a fast and furious money again, too. So yeah, that was that was when they were they were ripping through. Yeah, there's a ludicrous instrument. It was like a post that some guy was waiting tables and he goes, I waited on a ludicrous one time and uh they overcooked his spring rolls. And he goes, Ludacris said, Hey man, spring rolls are unpredictable. And he goes, and I think about it all the time. And now that guy posted, and I think about every time I see a spring roll, I was like, Spring rolls are unpredictable.

SPEAKER_05

You know what else are unpredictable? Your dumplings.

SPEAKER_03

We'll cut that.

SPEAKER_06

Wait, what'd you say? Nothing. I was just like, where did that come from?

SPEAKER_04

I will say your dumpling presentation is amazing. You know, I've never seen good such a um dedicated dumpling host. He is a dumpling. Yeah, no, and I mean a professional. I mean, look at those on camera. Yeah, and everything.

SPEAKER_03

Now, I would like to uh they're probably cold now.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, but not the like authentic.

SPEAKER_01

There's a big difference between a normal dumpling and a soup dumpling. Okay. Soup dumpling is what I'm into.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, interesting. Because I thought the only way you could eat soup was like this.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, sure. Oh, there's like soup in the dumpling. It's like a little envelope for soup.

SPEAKER_05

It's like a little envelope for soup. Hey, production team, can you keep it down over there? Thank you.

SPEAKER_03

Soup dumplings is the way to go. I didn't know they were things till like a month ago, and now I'm like obsessed. I even got the little spoons now, sounds like the flexor one of the things.

SPEAKER_06

They're not very hot or soupy. So they're probably from Austin. Um I first had them, he made them at his house, and I was like, these are amazing. And I was craving them, and he has this whole like steamer basket deal, like official. Yeah. I'm like, okay, where did you get those dumplings? Where did you get this steamer basket? So I ordered all of it. So I'm making my own dumplings too. See, if we get it, since you won't let her let me have it.

SPEAKER_03

If you're listening, shout out soup dumplings at Target.

SPEAKER_02

What's that?

SPEAKER_06

How many of those have you had? How many of those have you had? I this is my only one.

SPEAKER_05

That's definitely like your fourth. It's not. He's had three orange ones and now a pink one.

SPEAKER_04

I can't see him anymore in the box. It's getting deep.

SPEAKER_03

Nick, speaking of uh Super Lights, would you like to do a segment sponsored by Super Lights?

SPEAKER_05

All right, we have a little game for you.

SPEAKER_03

Oh we reached out to the guys that take out our trash, but we couldn't get a hold of them because the name of the segment would be put it in the trash or not. So we get we um we put out a playlist every um holiday weekend pretty much from Swifter Co. It's me, Landry and Cassie for the most part, and we put stuff out. Sure. And um we've gotten into huge arguments about songs where they they're ongoing. So there's songs that that we feel strongly about. You don't have to be married, but so would you put this on a playlist or throw it in the trash?

SPEAKER_04

So this is like this is is this like for for my personal listening to or what I would say?

SPEAKER_06

So yeah, whatever what do you think? Whatever you think.

SPEAKER_03

If you're putting if you're if you're like, you know, you don't marry to it, but if you're gonna put it on a playlist, you're nah, throw it in the trash.

SPEAKER_05

Just basically like smash the song or trash the song.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

So smash or trash.

SPEAKER_05

Here's the list.

SPEAKER_04

Let's hear it.

SPEAKER_05

First song is um In This B by Chris Lorenzo.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah. Uh definitely smash that one. That's a that's a great one. Yeah. I got like probably 10 remixes of it right now, too, and they all they all slap. You can play either you can play any of them.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it is such a versatile.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Um Opalite by Taylor Swift.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I mean, I I'm not on my playlist. It's not on my, you know, I and I don't mind Taylor, and I I feel like I just disappointed you. I'm so sorry. I thought that was my playlist.

SPEAKER_05

I just, you know, us being like Kansas City people and all, you know, we gotta we gotta support.

SPEAKER_04

Well, no, I I definitely support, but I just you know, I'd rather, you know, I mean in streams. I mean, I'm for everyone. I play everyone. I play it.

SPEAKER_03

Well, for the segment though, when Hannah makes big facial expressions, if she doesn't agree with you, I like that too. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I'll tell you what, if there's a remix, I would I would put it on. Just don't say it. Don't say it.

SPEAKER_05

Okay. So like, or got it. Okay, um, Texas by Big X the Plug.

SPEAKER_04

Uh Smash, yeah. I love Big X Plug. Yeah. I love that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Um No Broke Boys, Disco Lines.

SPEAKER_04

It's getting it's a great song, but it's getting I mean it's getting played out quite a bit, yeah. Pretty heavy.

SPEAKER_03

I feel like No Broke Boys. I feel the same way uh when Blurred Lines came out, where it was like the song, and now if I hear it, I'm like, turn that shit off.

SPEAKER_05

You know, you're just like we requested that song from you last summer. That was the one we Instagram DMG, it was on in like two minutes, and I was like first or whatever. Like, he heard us.

SPEAKER_03

Let me let me grab a song here.

SPEAKER_05

Hold on, I got it. It's coming. Miami by Will Smith.

SPEAKER_04

Um, I'm gonna say smash because I know that's his favorite song. Yes!

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Never mind. Thank you, Nam. Thank you.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Yeah. Okay, how do you feel about that? Are you disappointed?

SPEAKER_03

I don't like it. Like, I mean, Will Smith, like for Miami, it's like, you know when he was like, keep my wife's name out your fucking mouth? Keep that song out my fucking ears. That thing crashed, bro.

SPEAKER_04

Like, you know you want to listen to it?

SPEAKER_06

Like when you're in Miami, like we put it on the one of the playlists, I don't remember which one it was. And he was like so mad at me, and we're like, This is good. Let's bring it back. Give the people now. We put it on everyone.

SPEAKER_03

We've like literally yelled at each other about it. Like, I don't like it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, maybe more, but damn, I I love Miami by Pitbull. You know, that's uh maybe a little better. You don't like that one should I do it?

SPEAKER_05

I like Miami by Morgan Wallen. That's a banger. Miami?

SPEAKER_03

It's better. What else?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, uh that was that's on the list, but we also were curious what your favorite big time DJ like right now is, besides yourself.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, good question. Um I would say if I had to uh put one, um you know, I'm a big uh I'm a big John Summit fan. I mean, that's that's you know, um, for sure. That's okay. So, but yeah, if you have to dial, you know, one in. But I mean, I dude, I listen to them all, you know, all on Dude.

SPEAKER_03

If John Summit does a spear again, we gotta go with spear.

SPEAKER_04

We are going. I'm going. Count me in.

SPEAKER_03

I've been to the spear twice now, or three times. I gotta check it out.

SPEAKER_05

John Summit could play like anywhere and I would go.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Dude, Spear is unbelievable. We went and saw uh Hey, do you want to go to the Spear?

SPEAKER_05

I'll go to the Tell us how much you love the Spear.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. And I wanted to get an apple.

SPEAKER_05

We went and saw Spell Spear.

SPEAKER_03

What's that? So I wanted to get an apple. I want to get an apple the spear. And when they drop him out, and there's an apple that landed between me and a guy, and I was like, I'll die for a second. Yeah. And then Claire just caught one and gave it to gave it to the guy. I was like, what?

SPEAKER_04

You wanted it.

SPEAKER_03

No, I we had we had plenty of apples. I just wanted to catch one.

SPEAKER_04

They like showed like the movie there?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, Wizard of Oz. Yeah. Wow. It was epic. So cool. Yeah. There was flying monkey spears going around and everything.

SPEAKER_07

It was not actually originally.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, dude. It is so trippy. Wow.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, that movie used to scare, like, terrify me actually when I was little. They couldn't.

SPEAKER_03

So it probably would like to be a wild. It's got a horrible, I forgot how bad the ending is. Like the ending of Wizard of Oz, there's a bucket of water and they spill it on the witch and she melts. And you're like, that's the climax of the movie? Like, sick. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, when they made it, that's just what it was. Good thing you don't live in the wheel.

SPEAKER_03

She got uh she got sick because all that pain had like lead in it and stuff. Oh, yeah-based pain. Yeah, so don't do that.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Don't put it in your house either. Okay, I won't. Um you know, AI is such a big thing, and and we see all of this stuff. Sure. We were talking about it earlier. Do you I kind of just went off on a tangent, but do you see AI changing the like music industry at all?

SPEAKER_04

I mean, it's it's it's crazy um that you can tell uh AI to write you a song, you know, and uh obviously people are are doing that and stuff. Um but it's just it doesn't, you know, it doesn't really feel right, you know, and yeah, and you know, musicians work hard and what they do and you know putting stuff out. So to have something that can generate that, uh it's it cool for like scenarios if you wanted to come up with like a jingle or a theme song or stuff like that. But if like you're out there like trying to like do a lot of that and stuff, it's kind of it really won't take away. Yeah, you know, and that's as far as like creating music now. AI can definitely help in the music industry with different, you know, all kinds of different stuff with it, but you know, actually creating um you know full you know music and stuff like that. It's kind of weird, you know.

SPEAKER_05

Well, it's also like when you hear an AI like song, it's like no it's AI.

SPEAKER_03

I think it's like another tool. So I mean, you're still gonna need creative people, and creative people are trying to do something cool with it, but I don't think it's gonna replace anybody. So it's gonna be something else to do. I see it all the time.

SPEAKER_04

They're like, well, do you think it'll replace DJs? Nothing's gonna replace uh seeing somebody in a room and you know, and and and having that interaction right there. And you know, they're like, well, but robots you ain't gonna go somewhere to watch a robot DJ, like, well, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I'll be like, that robot didn't play over. I'm gonna put it in time. Kill it. Clunker, dude.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he's got a shot.

SPEAKER_03

We're getting a robot, supposedly it's gonna come to the office and hang out. So are you getting a robot? Supposedly, whenever it gets delivered. So two years.

SPEAKER_04

It's coming from China. You were from weird websites.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Timu.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

What if we get a Timu sponsor?

SPEAKER_03

That won't sponsor it.

unknown

Fair.

SPEAKER_03

We should get a smelling salt. We need a smelling small. Do you have the smelling salts? We should try that.

SPEAKER_04

I've never, I've never tried it.

SPEAKER_03

Strong smelling salt. We can cut this if it doesn't work, but boy.

SPEAKER_06

I didn't open them though.

SPEAKER_05

The bag is enough for me. It says to nothing.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, what's uh what's the what's the end game here?

SPEAKER_05

What are we the name of the smelling salts are ah contents under pressure to nine?

SPEAKER_04

Can I smell it a little bit or open that and go like that?

SPEAKER_03

No, no, that's not even that's the bag I think.

SPEAKER_05

Okay, but let him start with that.

SPEAKER_03

Well, so maybe a starter, a microdose here. Yeah, yeah. So Landry, Landry hit this, and she got like a lazy eye for a minute. Like her face melted. It was crazy. So Nikki was being a boy to her kid Hudson and goes, Oh my god. No, I'm scared. Uh and she goes, Don't open that. And and so Hudson, like Bosan hit it, and then he flipped out, went to the bathroom, and then Hills was kind of laughing, and and I could hear Hudson in the bathroom, he was freaking out, and he goes, Dad, why are you laughing? I'm gonna die.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Alright, I'm gonna open it up. I mean, he got it his nose in there, and you're not supposed to do that.

unknown

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

Also, I think it's really funny when Cassie throws up, so she almost throw it up from these last time.

SPEAKER_06

Throw it up. He almost throwed up.

unknown

I couldn't breathe, actually.

SPEAKER_02

Oh this is not okay.

SPEAKER_06

Oh my god. It's it it's actually kind of nice because it's like you know when you go swimming in a chlorine pool and you get chlorine water up your nose? Yeah, no, weird feeling and it hurts like it hurts, but at the same time, it does. It's weird. I'm scared.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that little puff down there, that was a lot for me.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I can smell it from over here. Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, you really got out. You really got in on that thing.

SPEAKER_05

Why is it wet?

SPEAKER_03

We're trying to figure that out.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, why is why is Mike wet? We've been trying to figure that out podcast. I'm just soaked. Yeah, dude.

SPEAKER_06

See, I like it.

SPEAKER_03

I do.

SPEAKER_06

Okay, I like it. And it just what so what is that what do they do exactly?

SPEAKER_03

Juju Mooftu.com that sounds like bandit in the NFL. Like they won't let it be. Oh, yeah, it's boring.

SPEAKER_05

So you can't you have like the little like pouch. No careful, careful, don't get too close.

SPEAKER_04

It looks terrible. Looks like something you shouldn't own.

SPEAKER_06

It's from China. Get it in there.

SPEAKER_03

I like how you try to smell like a cartoon, like you're trying to suck it back.

SPEAKER_04

That's real close. Like it's like it's like fixed vapor rug. Yeah, it is. Oh man. Wow, I like it.

SPEAKER_05

That'll wake you up.

SPEAKER_03

Dude, I can't believe Brandt died last night.

SPEAKER_05

R.I.P.

SPEAKER_03

Straight down the barrel. That's so but yeah, there's Bar Olympics next Tuesday, and then it's I mean, we're not too far off from Fourth of July.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that's where are you DJing next? Where's your next? Do you know?

SPEAKER_04

Um let's see, Wednesday. So Friday, I'm off during the day on Friday. Um then I'll be at Shady Gator's Friday night. Um we know Friday night. Yeah, the rooftop. Friday nights have been a lot of fun, and it's uh, you know, I doing the video mixes up there. Um and I'm playing a lot of cool stuff that like you know I Miami. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A lot of Will Smith up there now. Uh playing some cool stuff that that you know, mixing around and stuff up there that they're really responding to well. And uh man, it was crazy. But I I played um I played Nickelback, Burn It to the Ground the other night there. And it looked like something out of a movie. Like they were going insane, and I was like, dude, I never even really played this song. Like you know what I mean, but like in the right setting, um, you know, you drop in the right tracks and everything, and then you go, you know, you go into something crazy after that. It's about all about the whoa, you did this, and then we went here and there, and um, but it's been a lot of fun playing there, and even uh JG came up um on Friday, and he's like, you know, this it's probably gonna be a little bit slower night. Um you know and uh I was all right, and within an hour it's like the place was packed, and I was like, oh, this is a slow night. Yeah, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Do they still do the foam party up there?

SPEAKER_04

No, uh see so so on uh growing up in Marceline, I I got Columbia Radio Station. So on Y107 they they they still do advertise. So I always heard, you know, I'd always hear it on the radio and stuff. And so literally the other night I go in there and I see the Y107 van and everything, and I'm like, yeah, they're gonna they're in here. And so I went upstairs and uh um the guy was there and he's like, Oh, hey, I'm you know Cosmo, and I was like, Oh, Cosmo. That's cool. I said, I used to listen to you on the radio, and I was like, you know, kind of walking by him as I was like getting ready to get set up, and he's like from behind me, he's like, Well, what do you mean you used to? Oh, Cosmo, my bad. I said, I said, Oh no, unless you're like, I mean like when I drove here, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So no, it's cool. And uh and he's and he's like, Well, we got live streaming. I was like, I'll get you on the live stream, but yeah, uh, but it's cool, yeah. Um, and and I think uh JG said that they're they're advertising me on the radio there on Y17, so it's like what a full circle. It's amazing.

SPEAKER_03

So we used to uh when those foam parties started, it happened a couple times, but you gotta you gotta start any party, you gotta start the phone party. So there'd be these uh we called the foam dome, but you'd buy all these bubble beds and it would uh just you know it'd start. So they'd start with like a big pile of foam, and two times I saw it where someone went and just belly flopped into the foam like it was like a mattress. Yeah, there's concrete under the foam. And I don't know if you're really familiar with foam, but it doesn't catch you. So like people would like go in like it was like a big pillow and just bust their face, and you're like, Yeah, but what are you doing? Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Like, what did you think was gonna happen?

SPEAKER_03

Foam got wild, and then every once a while at the end of the night, it would just be like foam dripping down, and just be like two people grinding in the foam, and you're like, That's romantic.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm sure it was a lot.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. Yeah. That's how it's romantic.

SPEAKER_03

That's how Brian and uh Landry met in the phone. In the foam.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that's how we met.

SPEAKER_03

Foam dome. I met your mother. But that's it's it's a cool space up there. And you're trying to find like uh a big room to like there's so much room up there. It's so sweet. Like that that when uh we talked about one of the other podcasts, but Friday nights up there for you, like that's sweet.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it is, it's a lot of fun, man. And uh, you know, I I was uh you know, there was you know, it's just yeah, it's a it's a good party up there. And um, you know, the other night I walked by and I uh I like looked over to see how the band was doing. The band had like 10 people down there, and I had like everybody upstairs, and I was like, dang.

SPEAKER_03

It's just kind of kind of so bad.

SPEAKER_06

I mean if you ain't first your last your last baby.

SPEAKER_03

R.A.P. Ricky Bobby, the real Ricky Bobby passed away. What? Got in a car accident or a motorcycle accident. Oh sad. Wow. The uh one of my favorite parties that you've been involved with was when we were doing the belly flop contest over at um Tap and Girl and Mike Wright's dad, Brown Bear, shout out Brown Bear Legends, went full speedo. And like there's a banana hammock. But like when there's just like a there's in there's parties, there's fun, and then there's like a different level of energy where I feel like everyone's like on the same page. And that and when he did that, that whole place was like that was like brought down the house. It was unbelievable. It was just so cool.

SPEAKER_04

It was just and the I mean the the picture that was taken and you made like a Nike ad out of it and just do it hilarious.

SPEAKER_03

It was um like the best part about that is everyone in the pool while he's doing it is like like the faces. If you zoom in on that, it was so cool. Yeah, but dude, that was that was um that was so fun, such a good day.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, dude, fun fact about that. Uh also like so um uh X Insurance was was doing a uh uh a contest and it was like, hey, if you can throw the best X Insurance, you know, watch party, um, you know, we'll we'll fly out to Key West, you know, for the it was like originally for the races and stuff like that. Well, it just so happened to fall on the same day as that party, uh the Billy Flop contest. So we had like this awesome video that was made.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And uh, and then like we looked at like the other like people that were like competing, and there's like it was just wasn't anything. And we ended up winning the contest. And they they flew us down to Key West. Hell yeah. And uh we had to go down there for like four or five days or whatever, and uh it was all expenses paid. We stayed in uh Cossum Arena or something like that. Yeah, yeah. That place is amazing. Insane. And um, so yeah, so yeah, that was that's literally I was like, dude, yeah, we're slam dunk this contest.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, we did. Did you like Key West?

SPEAKER_04

I did. It was cool. It was uh yeah, it was really cool, and um, you know, it's a lot of fun to to go down there and see all that and everything. And literally, I I played on a cruise like a few days later, and we had to like port there because we got diverted, and I was like, Man, I've never been in the Key West in my life, and now I've been there twice in the same week.

SPEAKER_05

Right.

SPEAKER_04

Uh so yeah, it's cool down there.

SPEAKER_03

We uh we used to live on top of the Melfisher Treasure Museum, that's where all the cruise ships come in. We had a dope ass apartment, and um you saw people come in, but they charge by the minute by boats. So, like like if you're on a cheap cruise, they might be like, Hey, uh, you get key west at seven in the morning to leave at 10 because key west doesn't charge anything. Uh-huh. So if you're on, but it's like weird, they'll charge by like the minute on what time you come into harbor and stuff. And there's only two dudes that can park the cruise ships like into Key West. So they'll go out and like slide them in. Oh really? Yeah, they'll like go out there on like a little uh what they call it, tender and then drive it back in. But that's cool. I love it down there.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I was just down there not too long ago. I actually DJ'd um one of my buddies' weddings down there, and it was magnificent. I mean, right on the water. Um it was such a cool setting. We did uh we did one of the like party tiki boats the night before. I love a good tiki boat. Dude, it was yeah, I mean it was an absolute blast. Then afterwards, you know, after we shut the wedding down, we went downtown and turned it up and turned it on, and then I had to get on a flight the next day, and then it's always wrapped roughly. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. That that airport, as we know, is a little while trying to get your bag when everybody's plane lands and that little thing.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, but they're they've they're redoing it. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But still, that's my favorite airport to fly in and out of, so yeah. Yeah. I uh I had an incident in Q West with that airport. So we were uh it was my last time leaving, or we'd go back and forth, so I was moved flying out of QS to go back home, and uh we were waiting on a cab, and Claire started mouthing all these people, and so I step in there and um and got beat up at this cab, and I had a big black eye going into the airport. And uh uh the night before we had barbecued in uh in on the beach, and so we had uh like knives. I put like you know, utensils to barbecue on the beach. I also had a huge steak knife that I put to like cut up steaks. So we go out. I wasn't gonna go out. All our friends like, you gotta go out your last night in QS. So I'm I'm I thought I dumped all the utensils out of my bag, and I didn't. And then again, some incident happened by so I'm I have a red eye out of QS, I'm sweating, I just got punched in the face, and I go through TSA and they they flip out, all these people, and they pull me into a back room and they're like, We found this in your bag, and I'm like, What's in my bag? And he pulls out this huge steak knife, like in my carry-on. And I was like, Oh, oh shit. And I was like, dude, I'm not a terrorist, I didn't mean to, and then so I'm like, I'm like, I barbecued on the beach, and then they were all like mad, and I just go, dude, look at my face. I had a rough night, and the guy goes, You good, and just like you know, buddy.

SPEAKER_07

That's insane. Yeah, that's so crazy.

SPEAKER_03

Also, one more. We go this, but uh, we went out, and speaking of John Summit, Nikki was with me. We were at uh this the green room or whatever, and we were hanging out with this guy. This guy's like, I'm John Summit's dad. And we're like, Yeah, he's showing us pictures of John Summit, and he's and this chick's like, I'm John Summit's dad. This very attractive young chick just started making out with this old dude because he was John Summit's dad. Wow, he was not John Summit's dad at all. We looked it up, he wasn't, and it was just a crazy thing to like because it was such a weird you're like, I don't even know.

SPEAKER_05

Well, like of all the people to be like, I'm so and so's dad, like John Summit is so niche.

SPEAKER_03

Like, obviously, it worked before. We had to fly out first time. I lost my ID at that bar, and I had to fly out the next day. So I got how does this work? So I go to the airport and I go, Hey, I'm sure this happened before, but I don't have an ID. I need to get on the flight. And they're like, Well, whole thing. So they're like, Okay, so we go to this lady and she goes, Ask me all these questions, my social security number, everything. And she goes, It was like a weird thing. She was on the phone with somebody and she goes, Well, I'm gonna ask you a series of questions only you would know. And I'm like, Perfect, I'll know this because it's me. So the first question, the first question she asks, is she goes, You're traveling with your wife, Clara Swift, right? And I go, Yeah, she's right there. And they go, Cool. Name somebody that you know other than your wife. And I go, Jim Swift, who's my dad. And the lady goes, Jim Swift. And then she looks at me and she goes, No. And I was like, What? I was like, James Swift. Jane, his name's James, it goes by Jim. Oh, that's correct. So it was like a game show, and they're like, the question was name somebody you know, and she goes, You didn't get it.

SPEAKER_07

You tried.

SPEAKER_03

But they ended up letting me on the flight and going, so that's cool. That's and I saw Frank from Papa Chubby's at the bar. So shout out Frank.

SPEAKER_05

The amount of name drops in podcasts are crazy. It's like we should just go through and tally it up and be like ding ding ding, and it's like take a shot for every time we name dropped.

SPEAKER_03

Speaking of name drops uh in QS, uh the QS mommies are coming up, Cassidy and Maria from Tets and Scars. And they're they've uh they've gone viral with those hurricane shots, so they'll throw it and slap you. Yeah. So Lander doesn't know it yet, but uh they're both gonna give us hurricane shots on the pod. So you gotta pick which one you want.

SPEAKER_06

I'm definitely going Maria. Yeah, Maria's mine.

SPEAKER_03

No, Cassidy's gassy.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, no, yeah. We saw Cassie down in uh Key West when we were down there, and uh yeah, she took care of us there at the bar, and she's awesome. Yeah, shout out to her.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I love it down there. I want to like I almost live down there like full time, like so. It's great.

SPEAKER_06

And then one time one time. Any more stories for anything else?

SPEAKER_03

No, I was just talking about um Nick and uh the island boys. Speaking of island.

SPEAKER_05

This episode is brought to you by Super Lady.

SPEAKER_06

Oh my gosh, I haven't laughed this much in a while. Same.

SPEAKER_05

I'm still sweating from last night.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, dude.

SPEAKER_03

Y party is so it's 364 days till next white party.

SPEAKER_06

Woo! So it was the 22nd year. 22nd yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, okay. Yeah. It looks great. It looked really good out of it.

SPEAKER_05

I used it. It's cool.

SPEAKER_03

And then James is killing it. I can't wait to see what he does.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, James is awesome. Dude, he's amazing. Yeah, he is amazing.

SPEAKER_05

Last night, James, like his camera. I mean, I'm kind of I don't know how much these things cost. His camera is probably like $5,000, I'd say. He just hands it to me. He goes, Here, start filming stuff. And I was like, You trust me with this? It was so funny. Oh god. So that footage didn't leave it or did who left it? No, he had he left um like his little GoPro or whatever on the DJ booth. It's the the mount there. I just took the camera off. So there's there's a mount on your DJ thing. Sorry.

SPEAKER_04

For next leave there for next time. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

We'll just start like taking it to every Nick Nameyer DJ set and putting the camera. There we go. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

We got that Insta360 camera we could do some cooler stuff with too. So those are cool.

SPEAKER_04

Yep. I I shot some of that uh at level five. I got some cool content on those. And uh I mean I set it up everywhere. It's one of my favorite things to do, especially at Lake House setting it up, is the next day to go back through and see what he caught on camera. Especially 360, you're like, whoa, that's crazy. Oh, that's crazy. Oh, what the hell was I doing? That's crazy.

SPEAKER_06

It's on you. It's like when you open up the phone and then the front camera's on you.

SPEAKER_03

So we're only like three or four Sundays in, but on normal Sunday Fundays, are you mainstage now, or do you go back to the Yeah, on all Sundays, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It's yeah, that thing's got hand, yeah. Yeah, yeah, literally, I I'll never forget, like, it got to a point where I was DJing and Dustin comes up and he's like, Do you know these people behind you? And I'm like, Oh, I didn't even know what was behind me. And I look behind me and there's like all these people like standing up in like the host booth behind me, and I didn't know any of them. And I'm like, I no, and then like people would come over with like drinks and stuff, and my stuff was right there, and I was like, dude, we're gonna have to move this to the stage as things getting a little bit big. And this summer has I mean, it's just it keeps growing. And Memorial Day weekend, we were one in, one out, and um, you know, it was like 12 30 at night, and there's still like 70 people in line just like trying to get in. And it's just literally just one goes out, one then one we let it one in. And I mean there's cars everywhere, and you know, so it's really is it, you know, it's awesome. And it's it I love that the lake supports that thing, and um, you know, every Sunday is a new adventure down there.

SPEAKER_03

You guys kill it so good. So fun. Uh we were there's always like uh Mitchell who's the man, and then there's always like three dudes in cowboys hats I've never seen behind you. And then uh I was sitting next to Dustin, and there was this older gentleman that looked like he was having so much fun and he was jumping it. And I go, I look over to Dustin, I go, Who is that guy? And Dustin goes, That's my dentist.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. And this dude was raging. He was having a ball, it was awesome. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And I'll see that a lot. Like, I'll like I one of that's one of my favorite things is to see you know older generations of people that getting it that love it, you know, that are that are having so much fun, and then they come up and they say nice things to me, and I'm like, dude, I that's awesome that that guy was having just as much fun as this 21-year-old over here.

SPEAKER_03

Like, you know, you can't fake fun when you see someone like really getting it. Like, you're like, that's awesome.

SPEAKER_04

And I'll see him, I'll see him in the front row and stuff like that too. And I'm like, that's awesome. You know what I mean? That's cool. And um, you know, people that just really love, you know, feel the music and the energy, and you know, that's what I love about that place. There's there's you know, it's all good stuff there.

SPEAKER_03

So I like it there because it's so busy and you like to jump around, but like you don't have to dance. Like, if I had to dance, dance, like it would be rough. It's it's bad. Anytime I dance, like the next day someone's like, heard you were dancing last night.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, shit. Well, see, and like you know, on normal Sundays, there's a little bit of room, you know, to and you'll see people dancing and stuff like that. But on those big ones, like people are like packed in there. There's really not a lot of room to dance, it's pretty much jumping up and down, type of thing. There's no movies. Yeah, that's why people go on the tables. Yeah, yeah. Except the ledge. Yeah, see it up there. Ledge is the colour. Ledge surfing, babies. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Stay off the ledge. Yeah, but the ledge is our little swift plaque on the ledge up there.

SPEAKER_03

Ledge is the move, just sit up there and shotgun beers with Hannah.

SPEAKER_04

So it'll be a statue of you out there with a Sasquatch. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Sasquatch, though. That's coming for uh Shady's 20th year anniversary. So we met in our well not, we didn't make it there, but we met up to go to Sasquatch. And I was I was excited about it because I thought it was like kind of funny and weird, and then I was like, I got I want to see him. And then it was like the Chiefs played the Raiders, and then we're like, we gotta go to Sasquatch afterwards. Yeah, and then we all bought tickets, there's like 30 people, and then it sold out. Yeah, and then I texted you, I go, Are you going to Sasquatch? You're like, Do you have any tickets for a while? Yeah, and that was I remember you texted me the next day and you go, What a night! And it was I mean, it was like what a night. Like it was wild. And then uh JG was with us. Yep, and uh, and then he's like, they got him down here. This that's gonna be a night.

SPEAKER_04

It is, yeah. Very excited for that.

SPEAKER_03

Um it's a Friday, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

It is Friday. I'm gonna be uh playing that show as well. So look at that. But yeah, dude, he he he's awesome. Um, I mean, anytime you get to see a seven foot sasquatch ripping the saxophone over fat beats, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_05

It's like trippy. Is he actually seven foot?

SPEAKER_04

I mean, well, and his and his cost if you look at his his boots, I mean they're they're huge. And uh literally, I remember watching him um on the rock boat, and um he had uh uh so many fans on him. I mean, you'll see every time he plays, he has so many fans on him. Well it's gotta be hot. And yeah, and and you can literally see like the side, you could see like part part of his skin. I was like, I think that dude's like in his underwear in that thing. You'd have to be hosty, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

That's just like me moving around normally.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's a ton of fun. If you've never seen of them or heard of him, or if you have and you've never seen him live, you have to go because it is an awesome experience. It seemed like I miss the Kansas City coming.

SPEAKER_03

It seemed like a novelty, kind of like weird, and then you went and like he kills it. Like it's unbelievable.

SPEAKER_04

You really need to see it, see it live. But you know, he has all kinds of cool videos out there of you know him in the forest playing and stuff like that. And he's done some cool music festivals in there, and uh um, but yeah, you really have to. I mean, his he's got some cool beats that that he's that he plays sacks over, and I mean he rips it, and it's it's a cool idea, it's fun.

SPEAKER_03

The only person that doesn't like Sasquatch is Nikki because she didn't go last time and then she's out of town this time. So she anytime he plays, he leaves and it thumbs me out because it's like tough.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, I want to go.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, but also there's a seven-foot guy dressed as Sasquatch ripping fat beats, right? So Alan Jackson can be it man. Hang it up, Alan Jackson. I love Alan. Get the rice out of the microwave and go to the Sasquatch show.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we'll we'll get him back.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, you're gonna miss Nick and Sasquatch. Yeah. Um, dude.

SPEAKER_04

It's gonna be you should wait to see what I'm gonna dress up in.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, Requiem. Alex is playing that too, right?

SPEAKER_04

Uh I think so, yeah. That'll be, I mean, unreal. It'll be it'll be such a fun night.

SPEAKER_03

He messaged me and he goes, I'm playing that too. I was like, let's go. Cool me cat. You ever did a job in Columbia at all?

SPEAKER_04

Uh yeah. So um I've done I've done the social room there, which they are also they just opened up a spot in Westport. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

So uh Was that Roxy's or Penguin? Is that what it was? Or that episode?

SPEAKER_04

Uh they they had no they I think they also maybe owned that or something. They they did or something, but I I or I'm not sure. Um but they had some connection with it. Um but I never played there. Um but I yeah, I just did social room. Um uh I played the Blue Note one time. I did a uh randomly got hit up to do uh Caitlin Bristol or something. She was on the The Bachelorette. She had a she has a podcast, and uh I got hit up by her management um to go like be her DJ for a podcast on on at the Blue Note. So yeah. Played a couple places, trying to do a little bit more. I've done some tailgates there, you know, for Mizzou and everything with uh uh tequila? Univida, yeah. We're gonna be doing some stuff with them, me and Mitchell. Um uh they they're like the official tequila sponsor of Mizzou Athletics. So the main guy with that he was there last night. Zach, yeah. Zach, I see.

SPEAKER_03

I wrote the shot right when I saw you, we were getting off the boat.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's like somebody came up with a shot at tequila, and it was like it was it might have been like the Hornitos or something, I don't even know what it was. And I and I took it, and then I turn around and he's standing there with Una Vita, and he's like, You know mine's better. And I was like, Yeah, I know mine. It was it was it was you know, I I I love Una Vita, so I love tequila, so um, you know.

SPEAKER_03

That's the move.

SPEAKER_06

Tequila's the best. Well, Nick, what a great time we've had. Special time.

SPEAKER_03

Podcast is sweet. It's just yeah, I feel like we could do this forever. Yeah, we could.

SPEAKER_06

Swift would never stop.

SPEAKER_04

You asked me, you asked me you know four hours if I thought I would have made it here. I wasn't sure if I would.

SPEAKER_06

But here you are.

SPEAKER_04

But you made it, and we appreciate you coming and chatting with us. Super lights are keeping me on my feet.
