Welcome And Monopoly Legends

SPEAKER_00

Swift T.

unknown

I will.

SPEAKER_04

Welcome back, guys, to Swift T podcast, where we spend our time hanging out with some questionable people, making questionable choices, like going boating all day before maybe coming out on a podcast.

SPEAKER_01

Oof, our next guest owns more restaurants than I own ties. He has dinner with his mother every Sunday. He owns the one house on the lake that everybody wants and nobody can have. His brother says he's never lost a game of Monopoly, and the lake that you know and love would not be the same without him. Ladies and gentlemen, George Tucker.

SPEAKER_04

Hey man. Glad to be here.

SPEAKER_02

No. I was like, it's like published somewhere.

SPEAKER_05

You probably just made it up.

SPEAKER_02

It's like Monopoly. You always win? I mean, I haven't played in 15 years, but if you don't play, you can't lose.

SPEAKER_01

So your brother went into descriptions of like, he's like, we would play for days and then he would win. It drives me crazy. Are you texting him or I texted him? No, I texted him at night, and then he hit me back during the day, and it was this long paragraph, and he seemed mad about it. Yeah, like he's still really butthurt that he liked Monopoly.

SPEAKER_04

That's probably why he never played forever.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. He's probably still.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, honestly, anytime I've seen your brother or other times past, like he's been out and he gets a little aggressive, you know. He gets he's really sad about the monopoly still. Yeah, and so he's still mad. So I could only imagine your games of Monopoly would be just like tables are bright.

SPEAKER_02

It's like, yeah. Do you ever flip the board? He seems like a board flipper. Yeah, for sure. Um, I don't know. Honestly, it might have been longer than 20, 15 years ago. Damn.

SPEAKER_04

So Nolan my brother always won when we played Monopoly. So I feel like.

SPEAKER_01

No, I haven't played that one. Our buddy uh Casey did the key west monopoly, and he licensed that with Hasbro, and it was a whole thing, and you can't have bars on that one because it's like so with like the bank and pool cleaners and stuff. But that one like went crazy. Really? Yeah, you can have bars. Harsboro does or Hasbro doesn't want bars and stuff because they've talked about doing it. But yeah, I think it's like it's a chunk of change to get like the official Monopoly.

Iowa Roots And Paradise As A Kid

SPEAKER_01

But when you were playing Monopoly with your brother, where are you are you from? Or where was that in Iowa, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm from Des Moines. Well, Johnston, Iowa, which is a little suburb of Des Moines, Iowa, which is five hours north here. But moved down here 20 years ago, right out of college. Kind of did you guys come visit down here like when you were in high school and stuff? Yeah, my parents would I mean we didn't have a house here, but we would come down twice a year. My parents had boats and stuff, so we would come down, bring the boats, boat.

SPEAKER_01

So when you came down here initially, you guys got into paradise, right? You and your brother? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I mean, my parents had been taking us to paradise as kids, and it, you know, it was a lot smaller back then. I don't know if we can pull up a video, or but it was like a quarter of place now. But I remember going there as a kid, it was packed, you know, uh little place. John Sibatov, I remember seeing him at the hostess stand. Yeah, but I remember sitting there as a kid being like, who the who would want to work here? It's hotter than shit in here. It's falling apart. And I would think that. I actually brought it to my parents, like, why are these people working? It's got plywood floors.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's so hot, and there's no, there was no windows, it was screens and like some busted up fans. And uh you know, like karma could not be able to do that. Right, right, right.

SPEAKER_04

So you gotta deal with it.

SPEAKER_02

So how did that all work out then when you so I when I my last semester of college, I did a internship at FC Stone, which is a commodities brokerage. My dad's an investment banker, was an investor banker. Kind of wanted to go into that area. Well, I did the internship for a full semester, it was like an eight to five type of thing. I was like, I don't want to do this at all, you know. So boring. You know, yeah. I mean, you know, you're in a cube goal, you're nothing against it, that they're making good money. But you know, they start talking about going to Hooters on Friday, on Wednesday, and I'm like, well, just go to Hooters now.

SPEAKER_06

Like, what's like what?

SPEAKER_01

When I uh when I was in college, uh McDorman and Gino and all those guys worked at Paradise.

SPEAKER_02

That's what kind of there for a bit. He kind of taught us how to bartend there because he was there with the old owners and then with us for maybe a couple years.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, but you started working

Buying Paradise Without Experience

SPEAKER_04

on it.

SPEAKER_02

No, bought it.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, you just bought it and then you just like full send. Here I am, gonna be.

SPEAKER_02

I bought how to run a bar. I never bartended, never served, but I like going to bars. Yeah, let's buy this. I mean, and I remember like the McDizzle Sizzle. We were buying Dave, right? Dave probably comes through there and gets it. R I P McDizzle Sizzle. He beat out my door the uh last summer. He's got like a bunch of kids and stuff. Oh, yeah. His dad lives down the street from me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, my yeah. There was a guy that worked there named Dog.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, he actually works at Tucker's from time to time. Yeah, or he he doesn't anymore, but then he would pop in for a weekend.

SPEAKER_01

There was a guy named Bob Peterson that worked on the dock. There were like KA's at Westminster, and we were eating there, and dog jumped in the water, and Bob was working on the dock, tried to save the dog, and the dog bit Bob in the face and had to get stitches. Heard that. So we were in the restaurant and everybody was like, dog bit Bob, and I thought it was dog the bartender, and I was like, Oh yeah, what was freaking out? Did that really happen?

SPEAKER_02

And then they're like, No, there's an actual dog down there, and I was like, Thank God. I remember uh the owner telling us, like, hey, if a dog falls in the water, don't get it, it could attack you.

SPEAKER_04

I'm like, yeah, what has to do with that? That's crazy. That's cool.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just glad the dog didn't invite anybody.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So you never been in a bar, never in the industry. I've been to bars. Well, I mean, never been working or all of that. So then you you buy paradise, and then now you have a few restaurants. How many restaurants? Like that's pretty wild to think about.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it really expanded. But when did you add on to paradise? Because did you do it right away? No, so it took a few years to like it wasn't making money, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like, and then I remember going to the bank and being like, I need more money. Yeah. Redo this place. And they're like, no. I'm like, well, then I'm leaving. Yeah. Like you can't just leave. I'm like, well, I'm watching you. And they're like, well, your dad co-signed this and that. I'm like, he don't care. Yeah. And uh they're like, well, how much do like are you really gonna like not like I was like, I can't make money, like it's just like I sold my car to pay my staff. I was gonna say, you know, like you know, so they're like, okay, you know, we can give you a loan, and then that's where it started. We added on once, it worked, and then we added on again to that sports bar. Yeah, you know, kind of was the last move. So 10 2010, we got the first edition, and then 2013 the the second. Nice, but it had evolved way before me, too. Like it started in 88, and I guess it was a in 88 it was paradise. They opened paradise, but before that, there was a grocery store on the dock. I didn't know that. That dock, that barge was still there with gas and uh snacks and groceries, uh you know, before then.

SPEAKER_05

I love you guys' gas dock. Yeah, it is the best.

SPEAKER_01

You guys have uh quite the uh illustrious alumni crew on that gas dock. There's a lot of people. I don't like to leave, you only stay there for a while. Like Cassie worked there? Yeah, you work here. And then we were trying to figure out did you make the move to Frankie and Louise, or was it Tucker's was next on the uh monopoly board of the lake?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It was Paradise, Tucker's, Frankie's, Monkey, Neon.

SPEAKER_02

Nice.

SPEAKER_05

And then the new one now, right? Three. Three, so that's gonna be why nine.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't know what happened there. But it's happened.

SPEAKER_06

It just kept going.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's like let's add a pool to Neon. That looks stupid. Let's add a building too. Oh, that's too small. Let's make it bigger. That's 50 million square feet.

SPEAKER_05

There's a lot of rumors going around

Expanding Paradise Into A Powerhouse

SPEAKER_05

about your new building. So will you? I want to hear rumors before I've heard the bottom is gonna be a pool with like a Dave and Buster's vibe. Wrong. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

That sounds wild though.

SPEAKER_05

Damn it. I mean, I was really puking everywhere, like, well, that sucks. I was really looking forward to that.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean, there could be like a truth to that in the within the building, but we're just not on the bottom.

SPEAKER_05

And then I've heard the top is gonna be like a what's the word I'm looking for? Like an open air, badass, like a rooftop bar.

SPEAKER_02

Which that's it's like a rooftop Mediterranean restaurant, so it's like a higher end restaurant on the roof. Then in the middle you have two floors of it's kind of like it's got duck pin bowling. We have a contract with DI in Kansas City. They're building all like they do all this stuff for like Gatorade, and they built the tourist Radier Stadium. They're building 18 holes of putt-putt, 18 holes of tabletop putt-putt for us. There's cash prizes in those too, so it'll be kind of a you ever heard of tabletop putting it? No, you're gonna say buttons. Yeah, I'm very excited. It's like a kind of like the a small pool table. Yeah. You put your putter, it was like a pool cue. Boom. So it's like you know, so it's like you're putting and you can win cash?

SPEAKER_01

You can win cash.

unknown

Damn.

SPEAKER_02

Skill, it's not like the gold. We're gonna be in that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So it's almost it is. I mean, I guess.

SPEAKER_02

It's like a rolling prize, too.

SPEAKER_04

I get where they're they're coming up with the David Busters and the kid because there's like there's some, but but DJ in their after nine, it's not the only game on the strip I play is that claw game at the strip where about 50 bucks and then a week. You should look into one of those. 30 bucks every night.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I haven't got one yet. Ooh, you should get more money to that thing.

SPEAKER_04

I had one at uh in uh Vegas.

SPEAKER_01

They have like nice ones at Dock Knockers, but I bought one or I won one in Vegas and it was like for a dollar, and they cooked it and it was gray. And I drink it. I ate it, and I ate self fish all the time, and I was walking with a bunch of people, and I felt my like throat closing up, and I was like, oh no. So I go into like one of those quick shops on Fremont Street and I took some Benadryl and I ate it and it fixed it. But in my head, So did you continue to the bars or did you go home? No, I kept drinking. I bet I was like, but in my head, I thought I was gonna- in my head, I thought I was gonna have to go to the hospital, and they were gonna be like, What happened? And I go, I ate a lobster out of a claw gave and the doctor was gonna go, you should die, you white trash piece of shit. That's all I could think of be like explaining like I feel like that would have been a great story for you. Yeah, that's how I wanted to die.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, gray lobster. No, but wait, are you allergic to shit? No, it was I'm allergic to just that one because it was probably old clawfish lobsters in me, just don't sit right.

SPEAKER_01

But I imagine that's what they're doing.

SPEAKER_02

When I was like 20, I was drinking and wrecked the four wheeler and broke my collarbone, and my buddy took me to the hospital, and the doctor's like, have you been drinking? I'm like, no. Yeah, clearly drunk. She's like, Okay, well, good, because when I give you the shot, if you had been drinking, it's gonna kill you. I'm like, Oh, you've been drinking. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Gotcha.

SPEAKER_05

Gotcha.

SPEAKER_01

Oh man. So the other rumor I've heard is that it's gonna be open for 4th of July weekend this year. Is that true? Uh we should have it open, yeah. By then, two weeks? What was that?

SPEAKER_02

Three weeks? Yeah. Nah, we're shooting to have so one concept's open. Well, let's just start at the top. So high-end Mediterranean restaurant. In the middle, there's like a restaurant with games and scratch made food. So it's it's not like you don't go to Dave and Buster's for dinner. You can do that here. You know, kids go back table with drinking, whatever. Two bars, great lake view. And then on the pool side, it was like a Tulloon kind of vibe, pool bar, Bohemian, but it's taken me so long to finish this project, I've changed the concept already. So now it's like a it's like a modern Mediterranean vibe on the pool side. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Nice. Either way, I mean it sounds awesome, all of it.

SPEAKER_02

It'll be like a higher place, like not Dave and Buster's.

SPEAKER_01

So not Dave and Buster might show up, but not Dave. Is it gonna be the pool gonna be more like adult, family friendly, kind of a little mix? It's leaning toward adult. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know what the cool ones would look like, but for sure weekends. I mean DJ vibe, but it's not like screaming DJ, more of like a like a day kind of like a vibe, but yeah, like a vibe, not just like everybody drink a party. Yeah. Like, hey, just we got to service here too. That's good.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, you could always, I mean, I get the weekends, you know, they are busy and and having kids around is not necessarily the vibe that a lot of people want, but throughout the week, I think it would be good.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, so Landry wants to bring her kids.

SPEAKER_04

I'm doing this for me. I'm saying, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not making an agreement right now, but we can probably well what's crazy on the weekends really kids. I don't care about anybody else. Can they just wear like snapshirts?

SPEAKER_02

For sure, yeah. Put them to work. I've got to pick up the shit.

SPEAKER_04

I'll bring them so they can work and I'll be right back.

SPEAKER_02

And then they can just like get paid with your drink tent. Perfect. Like these little bounces are weird. I might go to jail for that.

SPEAKER_04

Actually, Savannah would be a great bouncer.

SPEAKER_02

She would treat me.

SPEAKER_04

Like, who are you?

SPEAKER_05

Get out.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, who's gonna like push a kid down? Nobody. If they do, that's a problem. I don't want to mess with Savannah. Tell me about it. I don't think I met her, but no, I don't think I do. She's like, you don't want to use four foot or something like that. I kind of picked that up.

SPEAKER_01

But pool like on the weekends, you really only have till from two to six. And if you you know crank it up and making money, but then if you have some kid in floaties float through in the middle of it, you're like, ah, yeah, I think I like figure out whether you're gonna try to like push a nightcrowd in there to be like like a full.

SPEAKER_04

I think a good night late night, because there really isn't, you know what I mean. I mean, we've got the strip bars and and gator and things like that, but it would be nice something that's a little more elevated. Yeah, because we're gonna just gotta go and show, but not like crazy.

SPEAKER_02

And we got a DJ on the roof that's gonna start late nine too. So we pop in like that. So I like that a lot.

SPEAKER_04

Excited. Okay, so when is this gonna be done? The DJ? I'm there.

SPEAKER_02

We'll be done soon. How about that? Soon. Every time I sit tell somebody, they're like, you didn't finish it by then. I'm like, you told me to remind you. Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it's like this is you guys don't realize I know there's a lot that goes into it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there's actually way more than we like had anticipated for this project, just like with the just the setting there. Yeah, you know, we didn't hit bedrock in a lot of spots. We had to pour massive piers, bringing St. Louis. You just got to be like, okay, what's next? Like, what are you doing?

SPEAKER_01

Are you doing more docks? Are you just doing the docks? You got because you got plenty of docks there right now, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so we were way more we put a dock in last year for that project, just so it for boat races and stuff like that. We could use it. There is no more room for other docks, but you know, we'll see.

SPEAKER_01

So I mean there's plenty of parking there right now. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Luckily, there's a lot of Ubers and stuff dropping people off in that area. People are not in your store, they can use Ubers.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but city. Yeah. Well, you if you mess around on the strip right now, you end up on those articles. Yeah, you gotta be busted. Nice.

Races, The Strip, And Tucker’s Impact

SPEAKER_04

So you just had the shootout races.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's how was that? Shootout races are kind of confusing for people because it's the offshore. Right. It's like offshore races, offshore shooting. But we did better than we've ever done with it this year. There was more people walking around down there. Like last year was 100 degrees. And you just don't want to you have to park so far away during those events that I think people are deterred by walking down the room. Yeah. Um but with the weather the way it was, you know, it was beautiful out of the morning, and then it would be you know, 80 in the afternoon.

SPEAKER_04

And then Sunday was great. Like the weather was amazing on Saturday.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Sunday was awesome. It's usually Sunday is kind of a dead day for the races. Even the big shootout in August, like Sunday is not really a showstopper. But that's when they're doing the best times and are the best speeds. But yeah, this Sunday at Neon was packed, so yeah, a lot going on.

SPEAKER_01

I don't remember seeing the other thing.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so and that's another thing because the boat races are fun, but like there's downtime and you can't see the whole track, obviously. The wave runner races, you can see a lot more of the track, you know. Yeah, basically see 80% of it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I that didn't I forgot they were doing that, and I went and dropped off get down guides there on uh was it Saturday morning, and then I was driving your car. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Your get down guides like, I need to start texting more because every my manager's like, we need more get down guides. That's always keep down. Like, well, yeah, they're texting me that they're up.

SPEAKER_01

I know we have to run some to Bulldogs and like J Rogers places. I'm like, damn, we just need to bring a bunch out there. But at least people are grabbing them, so yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

People want to run around. Behind all the bars, I know the bartenders reference them all the time for the customers. Right.

SPEAKER_01

I use them all the time. I'm like, when's this? So slide in. But when you started Tuckers when you get down the strip, like that kind of changed the landscape of the strip. Because I remember being like, when I first got down here, it was like, let's go to the strip to be ironic or go to some like you know, hole-in-the-wall bars. And then when Tucker's come in, you're like, oh shit, you can eat down here, it's like a whole thing. And then I remember you were craning in that crisscraft like boat up top, and I was like, George is not fucking around on this thing. Like, this is gonna be cool.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, I mean that was kind of a like, you know, you have paradise, and it's like, well, I need something else to do.

SPEAKER_06

So I don't need to lose.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, I'll build a gastro pub or something like that. And then I was in I went to Florida. I was gonna go for the winter ended up being like a month because I was like, I can't drink all day.

SPEAKER_03

Keep your mic to your mouth so I can hear you.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway, what how close am I supposed to get?

SPEAKER_06

Right, yeah. These are good stories.

SPEAKER_01

You guys did what part of Florida did you guys go to?

SPEAKER_02

Well, we were gonna go to Key West. I remember that. Yeah, we ended up at Key West for like three days, and I was like, I can't live in Key West. That's tough. I went straight to Miami.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, Miami's not.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so we stayed there for like five weeks. Oh, Jesus. Anyway, and the whole time my buddies I'm with are like getting eating oysters everywhere. Yeah, like and I'm like, I'm not a big oyster guy. But then when I came home, I'm like, I'm gonna make that oyster bar. Yeah, that's kind of where it kind of stuck from.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, and now you have sushi.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, sushi's been a hit. Yeah, especially because you can have like a burger, like you can have a burger, your wife can have sushi. Yeah, you know, a lot of times you can't do that. So you don't really see a lot of tables with just sushi.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You know, you might have an appetizer with sushi, and so it's kind of a good blend.

SPEAKER_04

It sounds like you know, kids.

SPEAKER_01

Sounds like you set up a bar for the Sorensen's. So Nikki's gonna have sushi. Chuck won't touch sushi.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so he's got wings, and yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You know, there's one girl that doesn't like sushi or one guy, you know.

SPEAKER_04

So your food's always been really good ever at all your restaurants.

SPEAKER_02

And that's it's always evolving. We're always trying to get better. Like it's not like it's not like right now we're not trying to make more money, we're just trying to be profitable and do a better job. Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_05

Well, it gets old to like going to the a restaurant like for years in a row and then eating like the same thing. So it's nice to have like a variety and like have something new on the menu.

SPEAKER_01

The Nashville chicken sandwich, these shitheads. I was like, you need to try. I go, you need to try how good this is, and I give it to Cassie and Hannah for a minute, and I wouldn't did something, I came back and it was like almost all gone.

SPEAKER_05

It was like a that was a misunderstanding. But how she goes, Swift and I are sharing this sandwich. Do you want some too? And I'll just go.

SPEAKER_01

I said you could have a bite. It's a big sandwich, though. It's a big sandwich. It's still plenty. It is a big sandwich, but that sandwich is I've been door bashing a while.

SPEAKER_05

And the buffalo bites. We had it too well. Yeah, we ran it back. But I still wanted it because you ate it all. Did you eat them at the end?

SPEAKER_02

Were you in fasting since then or what? We split it. Probably gonna get it today now that we're talking about it. Actually, you could have warned me, I would have brought a couple of them. It was messed up with all of it. I left there and came here.

SPEAKER_01

You messed up. And did I see you're doing sushi later now? Is that or did I make that up in my head?

SPEAKER_02

So it's it's uh Friday and Saturday, we serve sushi until midnight. It's kind of like you can get away from the crowd at the strip and go there, have a cocktail, relax.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, you don't want to see me eating sushi at midnight. No. Well, yeah, I won't be there.

SPEAKER_05

There's seven Jaeger bombs, you just go eat a roll.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, just don't puke on the sidewalk and for that's walking. I don't puke. I won't do that. Okay, well, maybe you should puke.

SPEAKER_04

No. Spears does. Yeah. It's too much drinking. It's all right. All the make all the things, like kind of like what we have right here.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, speaking

Sponsors, Drinks, And Boat Day Stories

SPEAKER_01

of too much drinking.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, look at all this.

SPEAKER_01

This year we have another sponsor, and we've been lucky now because all our sponsors are really like a bunch. Yeah. So this week.

SPEAKER_02

We got a problem though. Like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You should have like an apple orchard or something sponsors. Try to get soup dumplings. Dude, soup dumplings is a few.

SPEAKER_01

So far, I'll not have an alcohol after all. But Jameson, Malibu, and Kodago sponsored this week. And absolutely. George Strait. Oh, George Strait and Bret Hall.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

They own it. But that's delicious. We were down in uh cabo and they brought some, and then Jameson is my jam. They were nice enough to give us a little neon.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Hockey player? Celebrity or a bunny hunt? I was like, oh, Kodago.

SPEAKER_05

I just assumed it was like one of your guys' friends, and I had no idea.

SPEAKER_01

No, but these waiting, Jameson's always always the go-to jam. So I'm still going to be able to do that. What's your drink of choice? Oh, I'm unpredictable.

SPEAKER_04

Unpredictable hot card. Really?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, it's just whatever you're feeling. I'm kind of simple. The super lights are kind of a go-to right now.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You know?

SPEAKER_04

The vi uh the vodcades are really good. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Those days are there. Those days are there.

SPEAKER_05

I'll tell you what the move is, is to do Malibu Sprite and then put it in a ninja slushie and make like a little. Oh, you're doing that at Tucker's or not Tucker's Neon, the frozen.

SPEAKER_02

They have a soft serve margarita. It's like crazy selling like crazy.

SPEAKER_04

I ate them last week. Soft serve margarita.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so she was making this like scratch too.

SPEAKER_04

Like an ice cream, like a little cup.

SPEAKER_02

It's like a cup, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So good.

SPEAKER_02

It's a twist. Or you can get either or, but twist is a seller.

SPEAKER_05

Where's this at? Which one? Neon. Oh, at Neon? Ooh. We had them last week, and I probably could have eaten five of them. And you can get a floater in the top, which is, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It comes with a floater. Yeah. That's not an option.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. Are you big? Are you a big Jameson drinker?

SPEAKER_02

I am not. I'm gonna see if George can hit that.

SPEAKER_04

They did tequila on mine, but I put Malibu. Hair and the dog?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we had a boat day yesterday.

SPEAKER_04

Too bad. This is the one. You knew better.

SPEAKER_01

I said doing the best tequila around. Tequila? I'm running to be a straight tequila. We don't have a Cred Hall.

SPEAKER_04

Not a George!

SPEAKER_01

All right. So this is Kodega. This is Kodega.

SPEAKER_05

Cheers. It's 11 a.m.

SPEAKER_01

Why'd you have to dump that in there? See, I think that's delicious. It is so good.

SPEAKER_05

It's so smooth flinch.

SPEAKER_01

I'm telling you that's the best. They have a rose so good. That's a sign of something. There you go.

SPEAKER_05

Wait, is that what we were drinking on the boat last weekend on Jim Lee's boat?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Oh, we know we drank um we drank some of the rose one that's delicious. Oh, the roses, and those cocoa's the sleet. I mean, it's so good. I've been Malibu for a while.

SPEAKER_04

Like, I I mean, this is actually really good. This is why Hannah, Hannah and I are drinking the pink lemonade. Yeah. That's a new flavor that's like guava and you were on this before.

SPEAKER_01

Before they even said they were sponsoring it. Yeah. Jameson's old old trusty.

SPEAKER_05

But it's like slept on too. Like if you're going on the boat and you make like a little yeti with Malibu and like a mixer, super wild. It's refreshing.

SPEAKER_01

If you're making you're putting that in Sprite with a chick, she's gonna like it no matter what. They're not gonna something sweet. Something sweet.

SPEAKER_02

What's your white girl? When you're a bartender, what's your drink that you like making? That I like making?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, like what's up with my bottom line. I like the I like making a bunch of bombs because I the big hands, so I can hold multiple Red Bulls, yeah. Put them all out in the bottom. Put a shelf. Yeah, could you? I can't stick it to my head, but I could do that. And then I don't know. You gonna put Fletcher on here? Probably. You should. We'll see. Maybe a good one.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. I don't think anyone we'd have to have the subtitles on if he was we'd have to do it at like three in the morning or something whenever he's awake.

SPEAKER_01

I never know where he's at. It'll come on. But uh Jameson's always been one of my favorites, so thanks for sponsoring those guys.

SPEAKER_05

Talking about your Walmart story, I really just wanted you to tell George that you bought a giant pink hippopotamus in Walmart last week.

SPEAKER_06

We've got to cut it.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, you're gonna be. I'm so confused. Wait, do you not know that there's something that's like the hippo that's in my car? Yes! Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

What did it do? Did you know that was oh yeah, I saw it.

SPEAKER_04

It's like Lily the silly hippo. Oh, I had that. I found some like spray.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Mr. Fresh.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I found all this stuff in my car. Swift called because he's driving it. Yeah, because he didn't have his. My car was at his house.

SPEAKER_01

Spears left his phone on the boat, and then so I had to go get it. And then I was McCartin called me every five minutes to see if Spears got his phone. Then I was at Walmart and she goes, Are you driving Landry's car? And I go, Yeah. And she goes, You should buy something really stupid and put it in there. And I was like, You're right. And then I went and found that big hippo that eats walm that eats uh watermelon, I hit it in your car and so what's funny is I almost gave that to my niece for her birthday on Monday. I wish we had to do it. Yeah, I was waiting for you to say something about that hippo. I like how you're like, oh cool, birthday present.

SPEAKER_05

He's like, see, I'll have to go buy anything. Bro, you want to see what I'm putting in Landry's car? And I was like, yeah. And he goes, It's Sally, the Selena pup.

SPEAKER_04

Of course, you know, Savannah gets in and she's like, What's this? What? Oh, she's like, what the hell? I had no clear.

SPEAKER_01

I think it was like 60 bucks, too.

SPEAKER_04

I was I would I bet it was not she.

SPEAKER_01

You gotta return it. Like it has batteries, it eats watermelon. It what do you mean it eats watermelon? I don't know yet. I haven't turned it on yet. I left it in the box. Like, does it poop too? I hope so.

SPEAKER_04

I hope not. Probably like a real life. All right, I'm bringing I'm bringing that one back. Yeah, definitely returning. Buy some more Malibu.

SPEAKER_01

So then when you make your watermelon on hippo.

SPEAKER_06

Right. Stupid.

SPEAKER_05

You ever seen a hippo eat a watermelon?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_05

They can just like salt, maybe.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Hippo's killing.

SPEAKER_05

I thought it was so weird because I hate mustard, but I put mustard on watermelon one time and ate it, and it's phenomenal. Why did you what made you do that? Oh, I saw it on TikTok.

SPEAKER_01

These kids.

SPEAKER_05

These kids these days. Kid.

SPEAKER_01

Sad for that mustard.

SPEAKER_04

Thank you. You're the one putting mustard on watermelon.

SPEAKER_05

That's good, bro.

Frankie And Louie’s Community And Events

SPEAKER_01

So when after Tucker's you I know I was talking to well, I was living with Sinclair at the time, and they were talking about buying Frankie Luce from Dan, and then you guys got involved, and then you guys took it over, and then you really changed that whole place, and it was already awesome.

SPEAKER_02

It was already a successful place. Yeah, you guys really were nuts with it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So Randall's really good over there. Uh Ryan was born there and worked there his whole life, right?

SPEAKER_02

I think he worked at one other place, but he worked there since it opened. How about that? Yeah, he was working there a long time. Three or something like that. As long as I was at the link, he was always there. Yeah, his mom's a manager. Yeah. But yeah, no, we've added on to that place. We've got more campsites over there too. That's a huge deal. Yeah, it's a whole community of that. So many people talk about more people than the city of Sunrise Beach down there. That's wow.

SPEAKER_05

I always thought it was like that part just in the back of the cove, and then I showed a house like down that street two weeks ago, and it's like up and down the hills. Like I was like, oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

It's like its own ecosystem over there. It's crazy. I'd never been back there before.

SPEAKER_04

That's really fun. You know, I used to go camping growing up, and like it's it was loved it, but we'd be out in the middle of nowhere. But this is like that vibe, plus you can just pop over to the restaurant, the bar, you're at the lake, you know, you've got the if you've got kids or grandkids or whatever, I'm sure people bring everyone, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's year-round, so it's like you pay once and it's done for the year.

SPEAKER_04

And they most of them keep them there, correct?

SPEAKER_02

So I think years ago, there was like the realtors said, hey, the average home in Lake of the Oz are actually zoned for seven years. I don't know, is that a thing still? I think it's probably less than that.

SPEAKER_01

Really?

SPEAKER_02

So we're we're our our campers that rent there are less transient than your homeowners. That's crazy, right? Right. Because you can come up. You can lose your job, probably still keep your camper. Yeah, maybe lose your wife. And not like it's not a huge expense like a home is right, right. You know, you also think that, hey, this is a beginning thing to Lake of the Ozarks, maybe you'll get a house later. That's not the case either. Like some people have a house in Portucima and a camper. Yeah, they want to find the husband doesn't want to go to his house in Porto Chima because his friends won't be there. Yeah, so he pulls his truck into the campsite, get sits on the porch, he's got six friends there within 30 minutes, he'd even call. Yeah, just showed up.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, Frankie and Louie's like campsite people are ride or die for Frankie's. I have a client right now that's looking for houses, and he will only look at houses that he can take a golf cart to Frankie and Louie's. Yeah, it's insane.

SPEAKER_01

That's what we love. And it's like you guys do such a good with entertainment, like in the get down guide, it's hard to fit all the stuff you guys do. The bands are awesome, but it's like uh was it Missy Midwest? She's always playing before, after. Like there's something going on. Now she played that or six days a week there. Yeah. So she's on it. Yeah. It's playing the tunes.

SPEAKER_05

Isn't the uh summer summer solstice there next week?

SPEAKER_02

Next week. That's one of my favorite parties. Yeah, that's pretty fun. Yeah, we'll have a uh celebrity guest there. Ohlamas? Yeah, it's got four legs. Yeah. There will be a llama in alpaca there for sure. And there he's trying to get the guy who picked up another animal the other day and he's like, I think I'm gonna bring it. I'm like, do it. Wasn't there a zebra there?

SPEAKER_05

Like, is it a cabi bearer?

SPEAKER_02

No, there wasn't a zebra. We had kangaroos. But the kangaroo is like I feel like I don't know, they're tired.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know if they tranquilize them or something. Kangaroos, yeah, they were very sleepy for they were over.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, but that's a fun party, yeah. I think that's it. You have fire dancers again. Yep.

SPEAKER_02

We're bringing the neon taco bowl over there. Okay. Love nice.

SPEAKER_01

Are you doing fireworks? Yes. Fireworks are the best. The best. It's like a Tuesday. That's what it looks like. Next Tuesday, a week from yesterday. Yeah. So like it's like a Tuesday. Oh, I'll be there. I don't think I've missed one.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I think that's always like one of the industry parties that you're at.

SPEAKER_01

That one, white party, mustache badge on Thursday, go that with Philbose. But no, the summer solstice is always super fun.

SPEAKER_05

So fun.

SPEAKER_01

And it's just like you're there, it's like a Tuesday night in the middle of summer. It's like fireworks going on. Weather's great. Yeah. It's been a llama. You're sitting there having drinks, a llama walks by, there's fireworks. Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

It's like a line. Just what I want it.

SPEAKER_02

What is happening here?

SPEAKER_01

Everything good. I would think that that's probably that's one of the best Tuesday parties of the year. I think it's that one. I think that's a good party. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But that's like it's like one of those Tuesday ones that's like built, but I think that one's like you can like, if you're not into drinking, there's still like you're still entertained.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, there's just stuff going on. Yeah, yeah. Stuff going on. Yeah, just outside.

SPEAKER_04

It's it's the whole vibe, the beach, like yeah, all of that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I'm sure Hannah's probably gone since she's partying nonstop all summer.

SPEAKER_05

If you got llamas, I'm gonna be there. Actually, if you got anything, I'm gonna be there.

SPEAKER_01

I got a cat running around. They got music, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, a straight cat running around. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

When you ended up getting Tucker's, did you have the like the malted monkey property already? Or did that come with Lublies? Or how did that come?

Malted Monkey Origins And Safety Planning

SPEAKER_02

No, so like I bought this building. This is kind of cool. Because it's a wild idea. So I'm like, So like the Tucker Shuckers building is in the same spot as another building. I planned to remodel this building in there, but we so we gutted it. And you're like, uh, let's tear it down. Like this is not salvageable. Anyway, what I would it was like a furniture, like a consignment store of some sort when I bought it. Oh yeah, I remember that. But then I like Googled the address after I owned it, and it was Wiener World. Oh I I don't remember it, right? And then I put a business card somewhere. I'm like, this is the building. This is Wiener World. I don't know. I never went there. Well, what was it? But yeah, it was a hot dog place. Yeah. I mean, I never made it there. But anyway, so yeah, built Tucker's, and then there's a jewelry store next door, and that lady was retiring, bought that, and then it was kind of we didn't know what to do. We tore the building down eventually. And so then there was a pad, there's a concrete pad there after the building was gone. And Tuckers would be on a big weight, and there'd be kids out there just wrestling, you know, we give them chalk, stuff like that, throwing rocks at each other. And I'd be going back and forth because I was there all the time before, and I would be going taking trash, and I'd be like, geez, there's like 60 kids out there. Like, let's make some money off of them. Yeah, so try to find something that could fit in that small footprint, and that's what we came up with. That's awesome, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Roller coaster tycoon of you. Like, I remember seeing that, and I was like, This is what's going in here. I was like, That you're doing that?

SPEAKER_02

It was cool. Well, at first we wanted this drop tower, which I'm glad we didn't do it. Yeah, but the guys that we're gonna sell it to us are like, you don't have enough people.

SPEAKER_01

So I was uh I've been on it a couple times with Claire's nephew, and her one nephew was like scared to do the swing around thing for a while, and I kept being like, You gotta do this, let's go, bro. And then he finally did it, and then he was hyped up, and then he like got another kid hyped up and he was doing it. But has anyone ever gone all the way up and like spazzed or anything like that?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we've had to take down some adults. Like, so we have an emergency takedown procedure. Oh no, let's say someone you know had like a heart attack or something, yeah. Right, nothing's ever happened like that. We're supposed to get the person like we can get them down easily, but like the fire department can't get their ladder, they can't, it's like weird. So we everyone's taught very like I guess safe through the company. Yeah, there's like a big training thing we have to go through with every staff member that we can remove them easily from the course. So there was some adults that get to the top and are like shaking, and we've had we've only had to take down like two. Dude, Claire didn't like it. She went up there and she's like, I'm done with this. I mean, my mom's 75, she'll jump up there with my nephews and stuff. Yeah, you know. So I mean, it's any age. The the drop in the back is the thing that still kind of gets me to this day. Yeah. It's like I'm jumping into concrete.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I'm just distraight. Right. The swing around thing's the best part. Yeah. Yeah. Do you ever get up there with the kids? I've never been. You haven't been out there? No. I haven't. I know. You could have had this podcast up there.

SPEAKER_02

Oh man. Shit.

SPEAKER_05

All right. And eating smash burgers. I might be one of those people you have to rescue.

SPEAKER_04

Aren't they good?

SPEAKER_05

I've been telling them, bro. I'm like, everyone at the lake is like, where do you get the best burger? And I'm like, you're gonna freak, but it's malted monkey. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We tried to DoorDash went to the office one day, and I think it was like closed, but the cook those cookie buckets that came in, those are yeah, those are dangerous. Oh, yeah, we're on the yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. But I didn't see it, so I asked the guy.

SPEAKER_05

So many missed that.

SPEAKER_02

Those uh those in the actually we changed the recipe again, so they're even better. It's kind of like we kind of roll and then adjust. Yeah. You know?

SPEAKER_01

We uh we were watching those fights and I ordered papo's and got a bunch of papos cookies with salt, and the no one ate them and they were sitting there. I just had to throw them away because I was like, I'm gonna eat all these. Nobody ate the cookies. Oh, yeah. So I don't have to. I was like, 'cause I'm not about to eat 16 cookies. But those the little cookies I like because you can just pop them. Those those papos cookies. Yeah, but it makes you feel better about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I eat a half a bucket. That's that's what I'm saying. But they really have a bucket.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, bite size.

SPEAKER_02

Healthy. But no, the cool thing is it's it's like we make those from scratch, so you don't have them like a bunch of chemicals and whatever they're putting in this stuff, you know, so it's you know, cane sugar. Yeah. The chocolate chips have some ingredients, but other than that, you did you did one of the most Mr.

Jet Ski Giveaway And Viral Marketing

SPEAKER_01

Beast things I've ever seen at the lake last summer when you did the Jetski giveaway and you had people hold hands on it. That was funny. We were there for a while, and then I was like watching it, and then I remember one night I was like, I'm gonna be here at three in the morning with you to judge, and then I was like, I'm gonna sleep. Yeah, but but they went way longer than I thought.

SPEAKER_05

That's too bad it wasn't one more.

SPEAKER_02

And honestly, I think I was I don't know. I thought that. I thought that literally was like, come on.

SPEAKER_05

Come on, that's why I'm on the podcast to say the perverted things that everyone's thinking about.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't know. Like we we love how bathroom breaks and stuff too, so it's not like gross. Right. So like when the guy took his hand off, the second the last guy took his hand off, I didn't even see it. Or I don't remember if I was there or not, but Facebook saw it.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So we had to call them out.

SPEAKER_04

Because you live streamed it all and everything. Yeah, I watched it on Facebook.

SPEAKER_02

It was insane.

SPEAKER_04

How did you come up with that idea?

SPEAKER_02

Something that you're gonna play Mr. Beast, something like that. I don't want to buy a learned jet. Well, we got a Wave Runner. Yeah, didn't they give away a jet or something? Can you do that?

SPEAKER_04

So I'll enter if it's a good one.

SPEAKER_01

I thought I'd be like, I could do that, but there's no way I could go.

SPEAKER_04

No, I mean that's a really long time. Also to just stand there that long and your legs, your body, you know, it was raining too.

SPEAKER_02

And then it was raining real bad one time, and I I would have to, I was the judge that night, and it was like I had to come in at 4 a.m. Because you're trying to like kill your staff either. So give me the worst stuff you can. And actually they gave me a bunch of them, and I'm like, can you do that?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, actually, it's like 4 a.m. I'm like, oh man. I take it back.

SPEAKER_02

But like it got so bad we had to, I'm like, okay, we have to go inside. Everyone pulled the table. It's like if you let go of the table, like then you're out. But like I was like, these guys are gonna get hit by lightning out here. Right, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Safety first, safety first.

SPEAKER_02

Like some of them had uh like support teams like bringing stuff, like you know, damn. Yeah, you're gonna do anything like that again, or is that a lot of people? No, no, it's like it spread it out a little bit. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Something else.

SPEAKER_02

Because also put you out there and everybody just hold you. Just like crowd, just crowd.

SPEAKER_01

Nobody wins. We all just drop you. But also, I feel like now, like, if if before I was like, I could do that, but now that you know kind of the time from last year, you need to go a couple years to let people forget how cool. I feel like they won't care.

SPEAKER_02

Like we had so many applicants for that. So we went through and like handpicked who we wanted out there. Oh wow. Like we didn't want to fell in out there, we didn't want you know we didn't make sure that like these people are good people.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, I didn't.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, no, we vetted that 150 people.

SPEAKER_04

Wow, that's crazy.

SPEAKER_02

I was pulling for Zach Lentz, and then he just didn't make it. The guy that won, I guess he would he ended up trading or taking the wave runner back to Surdike and getting his money. Good for him, man.

SPEAKER_04

Hey, whatever.

SPEAKER_02

He literally was like, No, I'm keeping it like Surdike called me like 20 minutes later. Yeah, bringing it back. That guy literally just said he was keeping it. Just see him right off into the sunset. Straight to Serdike.

SPEAKER_04

Can I get my money?

SPEAKER_01

No, that's so sweet. Yeah, that's fine. But but yeah, so new restaurants.

SPEAKER_02

If you've got any ideas like that, I'll take them because I'm down. Okay.

SPEAKER_05

You should do it when like the new the new building opens up to like get people. I don't know, I'll think of something. Give me like five minutes.

SPEAKER_01

That's all it's gonna take. Just call print club, see if you can stay in the pool the longest.

SPEAKER_05

Swift's a big trade out, guys. So I feel like you should have like a contest to get like some really cool like free thing and then make people hold it to keep it or something for like the grand opening on the rooftop or in the pool. You know, the PO would be in the pool, never mind.

SPEAKER_01

I'm excited about the new pool. So the pool on the strips will hold it because it's kind of wild too to think about that. Well, because also it's like it's it's at the front door of the Lake of the Ozarks.

SPEAKER_04

Well, you're gonna go we're gonna have cover, honestly. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But there's gonna be amenities to support that cover. Right. Yeah. So I mean, there's like girls walking around with frozen grapes, and there's like just random stuff we've got thrown in on this thing. Towel service, like, so it's not just you're like, give me your money, come in the pool. It's like these are things that separate us, you know. Other pools are good, but we just want to give people other options. I'm still gonna go to other pools, but this is like, hey, a little more chill. I feel like people pay. We're gonna limit the access to it. So like if you go in there on a Saturday, you're gonna be able to get a drink. It's not gonna be like mosh pit. Yeah, that's always the worst.

SPEAKER_04

Like when you're trying to get a drink on the weekends so we have like a at some point that hits a limit. Yeah, I'm not gonna overfill it.

SPEAKER_02

You know, even if you overfill it though, you don't make more money. Because you can't get just more chaotic, more chaos, more fights, more problems, and you can't get the people away from the bar and to the bar, so you're just creating more problems for no benefit.

SPEAKER_01

I think people like pay that cover to like not deal with a lot of nonsense, or like you'll pay more to have those amenities. Yeah, I would.

SPEAKER_02

Or we're talking about maybe like a pass that's like, hey, this is like 50 bucks, but it gets you in for a year.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like a car, like a cool car. Yeah, one of those. All right, okay. Oh, the view, and the views there are really good, you know what I mean? So your views are good, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Your views kind of like the race is gonna be sick next year. Oh, yeah. You should run like cabanas or something for so there is there's at least three VIP areas that are but they're like bougie, nice areas where girls can do their bachelorette prize and looks pretty.

SPEAKER_01

It's not just like a tent.

SPEAKER_05

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

You always do a good job with the something, like even Neon Taco, you have like places that are very Instagram friendly, like all your places. It's like really pretty or like really cool. A lot of pictures that come out of that place because of the building. Um Neon Taco, where did you find we were talking about this the other night, but like where did you find that artist that painted all that wild ass shit on the wall? There's some guy running a meth lab down the street. What in there? I know that guy. This guy drew a bunch of dicks on the back of my car one time, and I was like, Who did that's kind of nice. He did really good. Wow, the artistic skill.

SPEAKER_02

No, so some guy, we have a construction company, so some guy is working there for us. He just started, his buddy comes to see him, and I was like, I think we're at Neon Taco, we were at the building, and I was like, This is what I want to do. And his buddy had like tattoos all over his face, and he said he's a tattoo artist. He was kind of broke, and he's like, Can I give you a tattoo and give me some money? I'm like, no. And I was like, and then like I walked away and I was like, tattoo artists. I went back and I'm like, hey, can you paint? Oh yeah, I can paint. I was like, cool, I want this like day of the dead theme in here. I was like, I'll do it. Oh, really? And then he like he finished it, but then we needed more, so he kind of disappeared. I don't know what happened to him. He disappeared, and so we had to find another person. So there was like a local chick that uh finished it.

SPEAKER_05

Hi James. Hey James. Hi James, welcome to the pod.

SPEAKER_01

It's the lake's best videographer, James Smith. James Smith. James Smith.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, every time I go in to eat dinner, I just look. They didn't have a most of that stuff.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. The outside stuff was a local chick.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

He did some of the outside stuff too. Like that street bar. That ceiling is so awesome.

SPEAKER_04

You know that it's really, really cool.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my god. Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_01

If they're sponsoring the pod, I mean, can we put a timestamp of what time it is right now?

SPEAKER_05

Is it 1156? I think it's called about 9.56. I wish it was 1156. Oh, let us tell you. Well, our good friend Cassie likes to hang out, and she left White Party at 11.56 before any of us did.

SPEAKER_02

I didn't even go.

SPEAKER_05

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_02

I just like the day before I'm like so much going on right now in my life, like with work. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like, if I go there, I'm gonna get drunk. And then it waits tomorrow's shot.

SPEAKER_04

Well, even like Hey, I mean, we we film podcasts.

SPEAKER_02

It's like I I feel I had a phone though, you know?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. It was we call it the party tornado of summer, which is going. It's going right now because even this week I'm like, all right, I have some days to get some stuff done. And it was McArdle's birthday with Sergio's last night, and then I'm like, I got tonight, and then I got Flippo's deal tomorrow, and then it's another week.

SPEAKER_05

Friday again. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'll tell you what it should hit next Friday if you're free. We're gonna go as that Sasquatch concert at Lazy's. I don't even know. It's a DJ? No, it's a guy that dresses like a giant Sasquatch and plays a saxophone.

SPEAKER_02

Dude, if you want to go let me know, we gotta all set up. Well, if he wants to like hang out with Frankie Lewis on the beach, that'd be sweet to have a Sasquatch on.

SPEAKER_05

He kills it.

SPEAKER_01

He plays sings. It's nuts. I'll show you the old. Is he famous?

SPEAKER_05

Isn't he like six six foot something?

SPEAKER_01

I think he's got some big shoes on. Yeah. But he his his persona when he goes on there, it's pretty wild. We saw it in Kansas City and it blew my mind. Sasquatch. Is he like on Spotify? Yeah. He's everywhere. He plays like music on all streaming platforms. Yeah, and then he does like uh Facebook lives and he's like out in the woods playing. Yeah, that's weird though. What if somebody shoots them? That well, that'd be crazy. I mean, if he goes to Frank he loses in the house, something might happen. Yeah, I mean you could say that about any uh just oh gosh. What am I at? Do you believe in Sasquatches? Yes. Uh yeah, I think so.

SPEAKER_05

I'm a big conspiracy theorist.

SPEAKER_01

Because there's like fish in the ocean that like no one's seen before until the tidal waves, so there could be something run out there hiding. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I mean if the aliens are real, then Sasquatches are in aliens more than a sasquatch. Really?

SPEAKER_01

What's cool is the government that came out and they're like, there's UFOs and aliens, and everyone's like, no one the cage. What's on TikTok tonight? Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

If you've seen the like any evolution like pictures, I mean there's what if Sasquatches are aliens and they're just like, yeah, that's an alien.

SPEAKER_01

I'll give you a hot take. I think octopuses are for sure aliens. I mean, if they can open jars, that's crazy. And they can like they can make patterns they've never seen before out in the wild. That's that's an alien. And they have like nine hearts. I mean damn. I mean nine. I mean, they have nine lives. I think they have multiple hearts. But no, they're done. But no, the sex squad shows sweet. But yeah, there's just a ton going on. So I get where you're coming from, but but next Tuesday I'm definitely going to be able to do.

SPEAKER_05

But you can sleep when you're dead.

SPEAKER_01

Some says take it easy, or gotta be responsible.

SPEAKER_02

You got a lot going on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're just coming off a big party. Yeah, you've I mean I did go out yesterday, but that's a one off Tuesday.

SPEAKER_04

Every now and then you have to enjoy yourself. That's okay.

SPEAKER_01

You gotta rip it Tuesday.

SPEAKER_04

You deserve it. Work hard, play hard.

SPEAKER_01

It's kinda hard when someone hits a Tuesday. Because we've been hitting it pretty hard on the weekends lately.

SPEAKER_02

And then someone Tuesday comes up and you're like, I my Monday through Fridays surprisingly are way busier than my Saturdays and Sundays in my life. Because it's more of an office thing at this point or putting out fires, but it used to be a lot different. You're running multiple shows, so I kind of so like my staff is the best ever. Yeah. You're like, how do you do it? It's like, well, it's not me. Yeah. It's like all these great people. You know, it's it's you know, I kind of help.

SPEAKER_04

That's important.

SPEAKER_02

You know, and they're at help, but like they're doing it, they're running the show, they're making hard decisions, they're making it happen.

SPEAKER_01

I think one of the best hires you ever had was Tommy. Oh Jerry's a stud, yeah. He's a study. I remember he was doing stuff at bootleggers. He used to he worked at Shady's and we hired him. I was like, he was such I was like, this kid's gonna be studying. I mean, how long has he worked there? He's been there for a while.

SPEAKER_02

He was I think he came in July of 15, which is we opened that in March of 15. 15, he's been like 11 years. Is that it was summer of 15. So whenever that's awesome.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, he's he's a good he was a good asset. Oh yeah, for sure. That's good, that is important.

SPEAKER_01

So the with the strip having like all the events built into it, like the hot summer nights, all that stuff.

Golf Culture, Hiring, And Food Challenges

SPEAKER_01

Is there anything that like you see with the new pool bar, anything like else coming to the strip besides shootout? Is there anything? Because there's a whole like a strip committee, right? I feel like the strip's gonna it's yeah, there is really blowing up, like it's just I feel like it's a good thing.

SPEAKER_02

I think once we starts doing stuff down there, yeah. He's a prop big property over down there, that it'll really like revive because it yeah, it's it's going the right direction right now, but it's not it's still got a lot of things.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, there's a lot more potential that's in there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, uh it's gonna be good. We've been like bike fest for a while. I'm like, this is kind of cool. In the last couple of years, you're like, this is a whole thing now. You know what I mean? It just takes a while to grow. Yeah, yeah. And it the strip is I feel like it's the lake, it's always a good idea to like do different stuff, but the it should mainly be at the strip where it's like, hey, we're gonna be able to do that.

SPEAKER_04

That's been the OG heart of Lake of the Ozarks, you know, back in the day. It was like the first little town on the lake, you know?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I would love to see like mini golf on the strip, but like a what about tabletop?

SPEAKER_01

Uh yeah, yeah, tabletop.

SPEAKER_05

Mini golf.

SPEAKER_02

We uh we got George has that cover. It's probably gonna I surely they're gonna do something like that eventually.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. We went to Sugar Creek on Monday night.

SPEAKER_02

To when?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, duh.

SPEAKER_02

Are you like a sharpshooter?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Does your husband really go?

SPEAKER_05

She's actually pretty good at golf. I love golf.

SPEAKER_02

So is your husband really good when he gets beat?

SPEAKER_05

We're both like very competitive people, and we're not answering the question. Oh no, he was pissed. I was I was chirping at him, and then he like five putted a mini golf.

SPEAKER_01

Well, even your guys' tournament, like we'd always get a team in it, and then it'd just be like me and Fletcher and Brant and Chuck or somebody, and then like last year, all the girls got super into golf, so now we have like two teams, and all the girls are playing. So Hannah's a fun that's a fun day. Hannah's become my my uh golf partner, so because she drives the cart and I can just kind of chill. Caddy. Yeah, it's a nine DD. Yeah. But no, that uh your guys' tournament's super awesome.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So that I we I think we moved the date to a Sunday, so it's usually on a Monday, Monday after Memorial Day. I think you moved it to the Sunday before that.

SPEAKER_05

Labor Day?

SPEAKER_02

Labor Day, meaning? I need to confirm that.

SPEAKER_01

It's usually Labor Day book, yeah. Yeah, I think so.

SPEAKER_05

Yep, always you're darn right it is.

SPEAKER_01

No, but that's that one and bogies and beer are the two funnest ones. Yeah, uh, the Folds of Honor one's awesome. There's a bunch. So the fall is definitely golf season, so but yeah, all the chicks are gonna. Lando's golfing too. Mm-hmm. They're getting pretty good at it.

SPEAKER_05

What we had on it is Sunday, September 13th.

SPEAKER_01

Here we go. Golf at it. Do you ever get out there and golf, or you just kind of hang out in the honey hole?

SPEAKER_02

I used to golf a lot when I before I moved here. But no, that tournament, yeah. I don't want to leave the honey hole. Honeyhole's sweet. Like, I'm not leaving. If I was playing golf, I'd be sitting there. I'd be yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Flipping burgers, I'd rather be like, oh I just kind of like hanging out and drinking outside.

SPEAKER_02

It's always fun. I mean, it's cool because they put us in an area where you can hit like what us like three or four different times. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So like you see a little bit of yeah, every little time.

SPEAKER_01

Every were you just here? Didn't you just take five shots? That one year Gregory just kept filling up Fletcher's cart with hot like hot wings, and they'd like to.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, and look at how the carts all fill them with hot dogs.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Give Hannah all the Lizzies. We got we had like ten hot dogs in our golf car last year.

SPEAKER_02

Is that me?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Golf carts or not golf carts, hot dogs, and then little shooters of something. I can't remember.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I forget what those are. We didn't bring oysters last year and people were upset.

SPEAKER_05

You had like mini cheesecakes or something though.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we had some desserts.

SPEAKER_05

All good.

SPEAKER_01

You guys will be shitheads though and have rumplements at the honey hole, which is always a good thing.

SPEAKER_02

We had like some pranks in front of you.

SPEAKER_04

There's some pranks going on, but gotta make it fun. Yeah. I mean, because honestly, golf, I love golf, but it can get a little you know, golf. That's what it's now. It's just having some some fun.

SPEAKER_01

So that's something full. I'm excited about that one. That one, bugs and beer.

SPEAKER_05

I mean, there's like we need to get like matching Swift and Co. like polos for the tournament.

SPEAKER_01

No, a whole pants and everything. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Shirts, match pants, pantsuits, pants, yeah, pants suits, assquatch outfits.

SPEAKER_04

Oh no.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I'm not wearing that. Sorry.

SPEAKER_01

Skeel over. Unless you want another shot, George. Oh, I'm good. I'm not even I mean, I'll do one.

SPEAKER_05

Oh my gosh, Hannah!

SPEAKER_04

Just get Robinson.

SPEAKER_01

Landry asked you another barn burning question. Are you good at real golf?

SPEAKER_05

I've only been playing for like two years, but I took lessons with Shane Blink and Chip at OCH National, and it was very beneficial for me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, life-changing.

SPEAKER_05

What what tournament were we at, Swift, when I hit that like 80-yard chip shot?

SPEAKER_01

That was the uh Folds of Honor one, and then we all ran around and started yelling. And then it started raining and it got canceled.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it was insane. I felt like Michael Jordan and his prime.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. She is like for real good. Like I played with a lot of dudes, and she's good.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, Hannah's good.

SPEAKER_01

Well, like the key when you're a uncomfortable because of like Shank and then Hannah's drill.

SPEAKER_04

Like, hey, coming. He's like, Yeah, I gotta get my golf bag. You know what he shows up with? A Walmart sack of golf balls. Balls and teas. Do you even have teas? Just balls, and then like the most random other things in a Walmart sacks.

SPEAKER_01

I have an extra bag if you want. No, so I'm 42 and I've made it this long without golf clubs. And I think it's funny things. And then it's just like everyone gets so bad. I think it's kind of funny. So I just kind of see that.

SPEAKER_02

When you go on vacation, do you pack a bag or you just go with what you're wearing? Uh it depends on where I'm going. Because I've got friends that will just show up.

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, what? No, I'll have to bag. I'll pack a bag. Usually. Oh, clothes wise. Golf clubs.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, no. The key when you play tournaments, though, is to have a girl on your team so you can use the women's tees and then you're kind of locked in.

SPEAKER_01

That's cheating.

SPEAKER_05

No, it's not. No.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's not cheating. It's not cheating to cheat.

SPEAKER_05

No. Got it. It's not cheating.

SPEAKER_01

Sometimes the chick tees are like way cheat code. No, yeah. Sometimes I'm not fair. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Sometimes I play like the next one back because it's it is what it is. Hey, you know? So sports, baby.

SPEAKER_01

With the new uh with the new restaurants, do you have like chefs lined up yet? Are you looking for like help? Okay. You look for helps and stuff?

SPEAKER_02

Kind of like we're starting that process like right now. Okay. Because it's gonna be that's run like a hotel with multiple things going on. So it's got a massive kitchen on the first level and then like another kitchen on the second level. Don't know if that's gonna be a prep kitchen yet or if it's gonna just feed the roof. And then it's run by a bunch of dumb waiters. The whole you know, all the time. Do you ever think about getting smart waiters? No, wait, yeah, yeah. Okay, so it's a mini elevator.

SPEAKER_03

Have you ever heard that word about it? No, I have.

SPEAKER_02

I think dumb ass waitresses. These dumb bitches.

SPEAKER_05

These dumb bitches are mini elevators. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Because maybe don't feel like elevators. I don't.

SPEAKER_04

I never so if you're listening to this, you can email your resumes after the words. But I got some dumb waiters. I figured.

SPEAKER_01

I just was like, oh like a laundry shoot with little microwaves in it.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

No, just a little bit.

SPEAKER_05

It's like the little pulley system. And you know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, there's just a guy in the roof.

SPEAKER_05

Santa. Santa monkey. Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_01

No, but um, yeah, there's just so many built-in stuff to the strip, like that little uh, what is it, the puppet tournament that they're having down there and everything.

SPEAKER_02

So that turned into a good event. You know, that started probably five years ago or six years ago, but it's a fun one. And then the other, like playing that too?

SPEAKER_05

I've never played in it actually.

SPEAKER_01

So we should probably just not let her play. Keep her up and banned. The other thing that I saw that you were doing that is always Mr. Beast of you is uh the paradise, one of my favorite, probably appetizers of all time, the Irish nachos. You guys are having a deal over there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they just started that this this week. So what's the deal with that? So it's a big, it's like a sheet pan of Irish nachos, and you gotta eat it. And if you eat it all, you get the prize. So the price starts at 500 bucks.

unknown

Nice.

SPEAKER_01

It starts at 500. Yeah, it starts with 500.

SPEAKER_02

Um the builds, you know, a little better.

SPEAKER_05

Nice. Is it like uh those like man verse food competitions where you have to pay?

SPEAKER_01

Like they're doing that deal in Jeff City that like crazy guys.

SPEAKER_05

Someone won uh like two weeks after Alex Katira went on it.

SPEAKER_04

And if you don't know what Irish nachos are, they're potato potato the sliced potatoes, sliced potatoes, a little thicker than a chip, though.

SPEAKER_02

And they're covered in shredded cheese, cheese, bacon, sour cream, jump peanos.

SPEAKER_05

Speaking of Irish, shout out to our sponsor, Jameson. Yes, Irish whiskey. Although we're not drinking, but we're not cheers. Did you already take it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, cheers. Oh my gosh. Jesus. What are you guys doing after this? Golfing.

SPEAKER_05

Trying to work.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Do a little bit of work, maybe go out for lunch.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, but it's like a problem. Good luck.

SPEAKER_01

Get in Nashville. Those are really, really good.

SPEAKER_05

Now my mouse watering that sounds so good.

SPEAKER_01

Tequila's fantastic.

SPEAKER_04

I want Irish nachos.

SPEAKER_02

Irish nachos are like a staple at Paradise. So they've been there since day one in 88, and it's just like they're about to be a few of the years. That's like my first one.

SPEAKER_04

The nectar of the nectar of the gods. Which actually Tucker sells that too.

SPEAKER_01

Really? If it's easier to get to. Yeah. I mean, you guys nailed the frozen's at paradise. Like if someone's like, I want a really good pinny cloud, a really good frozen. Like Tucker's.

SPEAKER_05

And then it comes in a giant bowl.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that's key. I got one the other day. I kind of felt like a little girl, but I was like, I want it.

SPEAKER_05

My friend Sabrina got one when we went there for dinner the other, like two weeks ago. And the husband started eat trying to eat the pineapple, but they could not do that.

SPEAKER_02

It's cool because it kind of leeches into the drink, too. Like she got a I don't, I had a Jamaican tents feed in there. I forgot about the Jamaican tents speed. Wait, what's the Jamaican tent? It's got a real banana in it. Yeah. Ooh. So you know, it's kind of like potassium.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's healthy.

SPEAKER_02

Potassium. How many bananas do you go through then? Like a lot, probably. Lots of bananas. Lots of bananas. Lots of pineapples. We have endless pineapple meat. Yeah. So if you need some pineapple, just we got you. Because we're selling way more pineapples than pineapple meat. What's pineapple meat? It's like the pineapple.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I'm selling you a pineapple shh, like they like core it out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they're I didn't know. He's throwing out all this stuff.

SPEAKER_04

That's crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Shit, the pair of things. Dumb waiters. What was it? What was that called?

SPEAKER_01

Dumbwaiter.

SPEAKER_04

Dumbwaiter Dumbwaiter?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_04

I didn't have a dumb waiter. But they're also in like old hotels, too.

SPEAKER_05

Like I feel like for room service in old old hotels, they would like.

SPEAKER_04

I'll sit down here and have them. Oh yeah. If you're real rich. Brian, I need me a dumbwaiter.

SPEAKER_05

Get later, get dumb waiter. Do you have a dumbwaiter in your house?

SPEAKER_04

No.

SPEAKER_05

Do you have an elevator?

SPEAKER_02

I do have a dumbwaiter. They're not even expensive, so don't yeah.

SPEAKER_05

You got some money. Stop buying pineapples at Paradise because George Tucker has a dumb waiter. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

I think it was like, I bought it from a hospital, a hospital website, and it was like $2,500.

SPEAKER_04

Your elevator that you have in your house? I don't have an elevator. There was a person that got in it. From a hospital. No, really? It's bloody. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it just carries bodies around. No. I referenced it in your butt like the system that we have at this new restaurant's like intense.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, I bet. It's gotta be a commercial parade.

SPEAKER_01

Like, I referenced it in the intro, though, but your house is like you built a really nice house that's modern, and we've had so many clients that are like, I just want to buy George Tucker's house. And you're like, too bad, not for sale. I put I find notes on the door.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it hasn't happened in like three or four years, but during that whole COVID. When everyone was looking for something like that. Oh, we could also like what about this house? I'm like, nah.

SPEAKER_05

It's like, thank you. I just got out of the shower.

SPEAKER_02

But that was a fun project. So everything we've we've built everything we have. I mean, yeah, we didn't build like neon taco because it was another restaurant. We remodeled it and stuff and tucker development. Tucker developments. But we like our own projects. We don't like I mean we could sell something, but we just build our own stuff. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. Like, what did you do? Why am I paying you 20 grand?

SPEAKER_01

Well, some of the subs at the Lake of the Ozarks can be a little bit more.

SPEAKER_02

Some of the ones we had to use on this project are from St. Louis. So like we couldn't find local people that wanted to do it. But there's there's a lot of locals down there.

SPEAKER_01

But we're from St. Louis. So with the uh lake race being right there and the new pool going in, do you know how long lake race is gonna do they do it year by year or how long? Is there like a contract with how long it's gonna stay there? Or is it just kind of so it's my understanding?

SPEAKER_02

So it went from Shady, yeah. Me, then back to Lazy's, then back to me. It's my understanding the water patrol is like it's it can't happen anywhere else, but the dam because they don't want to block the lake. Block both right, right.

SPEAKER_04

I mean that makes sense.

SPEAKER_02

So I guess if they moved it, they'd have to find like the back of a cove or or something else. Yeah, street party is always one of my funnest.

SPEAKER_05

I cannot believe they didn't do a street party this year.

SPEAKER_02

Well, the street party isn't a hit for the world offshore yet. So the it's like you have the one on Wednesday in August, that's a banger. Yeah, but also you can't keep doing the same thing over and over because then you fizzle out the other one. Yeah. So they they did pit parties this year. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

The dry pits.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. The dry pits.

SPEAKER_01

I talked about having if you want to get on the shark tech idea. We're doing uh deodorant and deodorant, and then it's gonna sponsor the dry pits.

SPEAKER_05

At the races. At the races.

SPEAKER_01

Got it. Yeah, it's not a great idea. It's just kind of out there.

SPEAKER_05

The jack and hammer.

SPEAKER_02

I just but we're going to be probably at white, probably at the Monday night. The Popsider?

SPEAKER_01

Probably Monday night. I remember seeing the first time I ever saw you guys, it was you and your brother. We were at Wobbly Boots, and Gregory was being Was it the like on the highway out there? It's at where Papa's is at now. Okay. And we were there, and we were all like It was like five. What was it called? I actually think it might have been filming stations. Yeah, Filling Station. Yeah, it was and I think it was back when like TK ran it. And I remember like these guys just got out of town from their Iowa, and Gregory was humongous. And I was like, Who are these guys? And he was like, They're from Iowa, they like live here. Now I'm like, What? Yeah, so besties. That place was fun. They had some parties there. Oh, they had a lot of people. That was that was fun. And then uh Wobbly Boots was there for a second. Wobbly Boots used to be over where Zen was. Yeah, I remember going initially, yeah. Yeah, and then it kind of bounced around, but that's probably where I met you out and about, and then over at Paradise, and then yeah. Well, you were friends with uh like Matt Stevens and all them, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so they were Matt Stevens with Paradise, too. First year we had it, maybe, or maybe it didn't work for us. He worked there.

SPEAKER_01

I think he worked there for like a minute because he would like hop in and out for a while.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you knew Dave.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. All the restaurants we have, the uh the sleeper though is Santa Monkey that you've done the last

Santa Monkey Pop-Up And Winter Business

SPEAKER_01

couple years. Is that coming back?

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, it's going back this year. Yeah, so it is. So in the past we did like a pop-up sushi restaurant there. We kind of lost our chef for that. So we're like, well, what do we do next? And then Christmas monkey or Santa Monkey, it is. You know, it's kind of it's it's kind of a bummer that that space is so small, but also it's kind of intimate in there, so it's kind of I like it better than Santa Monkey because it's Christmas crap everywhere, and it's cozy and the drinks are really good.

SPEAKER_01

Sad. Yeah, where'd you get that like tent from that's out front? I went in there one time and it was like uh you put your little um stove in there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, there's like a little furnace in there, and there's rugs and blankets and a couple couches.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, it's nice too, because I feel like Tucker's is honestly like one of the only places that stays open like year round. So a lot of people go out there to eat in the winter and then they pop over to CNN Monkey to get some cookies and some martinis.

SPEAKER_02

It's only over for like four or five weeks. I know. It kind of makes it fun though. Yeah, yeah, you got it. Because it's either you got it or you message a lot of people that never heard of it. Like I'll come up with a conversation like what saying a what?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah. So good. I love how you live here. Well, and you go to Kansas City, St. Louis, there's always these little Christmas Christmas pop-up bars, and they're so fun. Yeah. So I love having that here.

SPEAKER_02

It's mostly cocktails, but there is like a limited food menu that's elevated. Yeah, with the grilled cheese. Uh tomato soup. Yeah. Oh, yeah, that balls. Grilled cheese tomato soup, that's so good.

SPEAKER_05

Didn't you guys do like your kind of crumble cookie type things last year?

SPEAKER_02

Quit doing that. Well, we now we have the cookie buckets.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, yeah, okay. At least there's still cookies.

SPEAKER_02

People are kind of hard on me about that, so quit bringing that up.

SPEAKER_05

Don't be mad at George.

SPEAKER_01

That one you uh hired Fletcher to be Santa Claus was really. I forgot about that. Yeah, that was a wild day.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that was. That was that parade day. Yeah, Christmas party.

SPEAKER_01

We've had some pretty rough Christmas parties, and I think a couple of the parades have landed after our Christmas party, and we've gone down there and stumbled down and been like, I gotta go home. I can't do this. But the one that Fletcher was the Santa was hilarious. I don't think McArdle jumped in a bunch of Christmas trees, which is one of them.

SPEAKER_02

He's like, Can I jump in these? Like, yeah, go for it. We're not selling with a crap.

SPEAKER_01

Very part of the elf. It was definitely uh that was wild. That's good.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, we don't sell Christmas trees anymore. Yeah. I think it we don't, it was like the shootout. We bought the trees at shootout, sold them, kept the money, but I don't know if we sold four or five. Damn.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that was wonderful. I you always have such good ideas. I'm very impressed by your I'm curious to see what he comes up with. I I mean he he's very who knows. But you two your stuff hits.

SPEAKER_02

His, I don't know, sometimes dead ideas. I mean, you take a lot of shots.

SPEAKER_06

Right off the rip a ton of shots. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

But you you do impress me with all your things that you keep coming up with. And so keep going. I mean, that's awesome.

SPEAKER_01

It's never gonna stop and just evolve, you know?

Favorite Menu Picks And Wrap-Up

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_04

If you had to pick a like a what do you say, your favorite mid item at each of your restaurants? What would they be?

SPEAKER_02

If we line with your favorite kid, my Hudson. Hudson. I don't know. Like I love easy and Hudson. Like Frankie's, I would I like their pizza. Yep. So it's getting better. I'm not like a Supreme guy. Okay. So you're not a Supreme, or you are? I am Supreme. I don't know.

SPEAKER_05

Do you put pineapple in pizza?

SPEAKER_02

I mean, yeah. I I don't do it very often, but I'll eat it.

SPEAKER_04

I like pineapple on pizza.

SPEAKER_02

Anyway, pizza there. Okay. Paradise, Iris nachos, or a bird of paradise. Bird of Paradise. Do you go mushrooms on there? Mushrooms. What's your side? Onions. My side. I don't get sides. Yeah. Obviously.

SPEAKER_05

It's more of a main course guy.

SPEAKER_02

Get some friends. Like app.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so then we got pizza, Frankie's, Irish Machosette Paradise. Tucker's. And the Bird of Paris. And Bird of Paris at Paris. Go to Monkey at definitely a smash burger. Like, I'm not even a smash burger today.

SPEAKER_05

I should have got one there. We're all getting apparently angry. I've just been waiting for a Santa Monkey.

SPEAKER_02

Tucker's Tucker's it's it's like it evolves. Like, I don't Tuckers, you gotta go lunch. If you're eating lunch at Tucker's and you're eating dinner at Tucker's. So I eat I eat lunch at Tucker's like four days, four to five days a week. But if I'm eating lunch at Tucker's, I'm probably just gonna get a steak salad. Okay. It's gonna be good. And then if I have dinner there, it's gonna be a ribeye or the this rigatoni they have is really good. They have now.

SPEAKER_01

Is it that uh French onion rigatoni?

SPEAKER_02

No, they got rid of that. They replaced it with this like this spicy rigatoni with like I don't know the name for the noodles, but they're like I might take that up. Like Instagram worthy. It's got a big ball of birata on it.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. I love it. I didn't know that. Steak salad has barata too. I love me some pasta, so I'm that's good.

SPEAKER_02

That's really good. What is birata? Barata? Yeah. It's like a big mozzarella ball that's like sure. Okay, okay, good. It's good. It's good, it's real good. Yeah. So the burata tastes better than steak to me sometimes on that steak salad. Damn.

SPEAKER_04

I remember when we went to Tucker's one one night for dinner and you had the big tomahawk steaks.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

And Brian got that, and it had like the chimchuri sauce on it. He said it was really, really good.

SPEAKER_01

It's good. So now we're at Neon Taco.

SPEAKER_02

Neon taco? I mean uh there is like the sweet tacos, but I get the crunch wrap there. It's really dude.

SPEAKER_05

That's so slugged on it. So good.

SPEAKER_02

It's crazy how good it is.

SPEAKER_05

I went through a phase last time where it was. It's like an elevated taco belly. I love it. That's what I literally was explaining that to someone one time. It was like, you have to get the crunch wrap at Neon Taco. It's like a gourmet version of Taco Bell. It's so good.

SPEAKER_04

And it's so how do you come up with? I mean, all of these, my mouth is watering right now. All your restaurants do you do amazing with all your food. But do you come up with a lot of the menu items? Or do you have people that are chefs?

SPEAKER_02

There's a chef at every restaurant.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So, you know, they we talk about it. Or the manager talks about it, but you know, it's uh I try not to like micromanage everything. Yeah, you know, we so we've done a good chat.

SPEAKER_04

We love it all, apparently. Is there anything you want to say to the people before we go?

SPEAKER_01

Well, we'll see you at the summer socialist party on TC. Hannah will be there.

SPEAKER_04

I mean, okay, so we have. I will go, she's going. I want to see who the special guest is.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Hopefully he shows up. Otherwise, it'll just be straight cats.

SPEAKER_01

I'd like to say shout out to the camel boys, AJ and Clinton Lowe. We take a camel picture when it's there.

SPEAKER_05

Didn't you see one with the bro chachos like two years ago? Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Dude, anytime with the broochos, I'm gonna rip. The bro chachos are where you're what's a bro chacho.

SPEAKER_05

The bro chachos are my younger twin brothers. Oh, I've met them. Yeah. And then everything.

SPEAKER_02

They like bro chachos. They are very outside bro chachos. They love to hang.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

They're very bro.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, well, things are coming on the pod.

SPEAKER_05
