Why High-Achieving Women Are Healing 7 Generations at Once
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if your healing isn't just about you?
In this powerful moment from Elevate Within, Mental Fitness Coach Maura IV shares a perspective every woman needs to hear:
"You are not only healing for yourself. You are healing for seven generations back and seven generations forward."
Many of us carry beliefs, fears, survival patterns, and conditioning passed down through generations. The work of healing isn't always easy but it matters.
Your grandmother may not have had the choices you have today.
Your mother may not have had the language.
But you have the opportunity to break cycles and create something different.
This is generational healing.
This is legacy work.
And you're already doing it.
🎙️ Full episode available drops Tuesday, June 9th on Elevate Within.

You are not only healing for you. You are healing for seven generations back and seven generations forward. So don't feel like I've been at this for a month, two months, six months. Why? Because she can't see how far she's come. She's too like she's she can't see how far she's come when she looks back. She's looking forward and she's like, I'm not done. I'm not done. I'm not done. But what if I told you is like you're doing this for your mother, your grandmother, your great, great, great, great-grandmother. Like you're in a position to have these freedoms and to say these things and to live this life that they could not have. Like, literally, if we're in America, our grandmother could not get buy a house, could not get a credit card. Right. You know? And for us to like shrink and be small, just kind of does a disservice on everything they that they fought for. My parents, they're from Cambodia. I so it's I have a little leeway of what I can't imagine of what we had. But I know from the stories that my mom is telling me, having was not safe. There was a lot of things not safe. I'm like, okay, if I chose to come through this bloodline, through this ancestry, like I don't really need to know the route because I could have got it in another lifetime, you know, when I reincarnated as an alien or something. I don't know. But the point is for me to get this message out and be who I deem, like I'm proud of me. I have to do the go through the messy middle. Like, I'm the only person that I need to be proud of. I've been chasing my parents to be proud of me my whole life. When I graduate high school, they'll be proud of me. When I graduate college, they'll be proud of me. When I have this high-paying job and position, they'll be proud of me. This whole then my dad passed away and he couldn't, he can't, he can't give it to me. Now it's like, okay, I actually have to give it to myself. Yes. Instead of, you're not enough, you're not enough, this isn't good enough, I have to give myself that validation. My son has to give himself this validation. I mean, he's a boy, he probably won't have that problem. But it's like, you know, the the guidance and the authority, like, if anything, I want him to follow his intuition and his feelings, and that his feelings and other people's feelings are valid. If anything, I think that we all have that common experience of like feelings are scary. They're scary and they take you off the path or something. But like for 50% of us, according to human design, your feelings are you in your intuition. Your intuition, your magic is in your feelings. And you we're here, we've been programmed specifically for my upbringing in the Khmer Rouge and what my parents experienced. Feelings got you done. You can't you can't get in there. You gotta get going, you gotta run, you gotta traverse, you gotta move. So for them, putting our away our feelings kept them physically alive. But now, if we don't get in touch with our intuition, I feel my fear for my son was waking up almost 40 and not recognizing the life he built.
