What's the difference between mental health and mental fitness?
According to Mental Fitness Coach Maura IV:
A mental health day gives you a break.
Mental fitness gives you tools.
Many of us know how to stop.
Few of us know how to train our minds to respond differently when stress, burnout, overwhelm, and self-doubt return.
That's where mental fitness comes in.
The same way we strengthen our bodies through consistent training, we can strengthen our minds through intentional practice.
The goal isn't perfection.
The goal is resilience.
Because burnout recovery isn't just about rest.
It's about building the mental strength to navigate life differently.

So what's the difference between mental health and mental fitness? Hmm, that is a question for Chat GBT. Younger generations. Who then? Okay. Younger generations be like, how do I answer this? What's the difference between mental health? Okay. For me, mental health has now become just like another word. Like, oh, mental. I'm taking a mental health day. What does that mean? What does that mean? And for everybody, it's different. And now it's taking me to one day. Okay. One day, I was over knocking door to door. It started doing a it started taking a toll on my my everything. I just thought anymore. Because do doing door-to-door solo, oh, it's it's door-to-door sales. Door-to-door solar sales. I'm going the solar house. Yeah. Selling $80,000 systems on your house on loan. Like it is not for the faint of heart. So I was doing fine when we were going in duos. I felt safe. I felt like okay. I and camaraderie, love. But when I started being sent in alone into random neighborhoods, my body started reacting and I started judging myself. Like, why can't I do this? Why can't I do this? I did this before. Like, more, just, just go, just go, just go. Over and over and over. I did it for a bit. But then one day I just couldn't. I hit a wall and I called my manager and I said, hey, I'm taking a mental health day. So for me at that time, mental health is just a break. Like I just took a break. But then later, I went back in again. I didn't go, I didn't really have any difference between that day and the next day except time, except stopping the thing that stressed me out. Did I have any new tools or training to go into the next day? No. Um, and that could be like, hey, me asking for what I need. I need a partner. It could be asking, um, that's the only thing that comes to my mind of the only difference between going and duos and then going solo. Or maybe this job wasn't for me after all, you know? But from taking that mental health day as a break, going back into something that I didn't really enjoy, like it didn't help me much. It was the only thing I could do was pivot out of the position. That was it. Um so that being said, mental fitness actually requires training and intention. The same way that we go to a personal trainer and work out at the gym and push and the things, it requires intention. It requires challenging yourself. There's a difference between like holding a two-pounder and a 10-pounder and a 20 and a 30, like you ramp up, right? Um, as you get stronger. Funny enough, the PQ is positive intelligence quotient. The training is a meditation, is a type of meditation that increases your presence and increases your your brain on your right side of your brain. It powers your sage brain, the right side of your brain to come online and like pause and not be so reactive and pause and and look at it differently, and pause and not take things so personal, you know? Like all things.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_00But it helps. So like when we say mental fitness, I really hope that you know, we we start taking care of our minds before it starts going. The same way taking care of our bodies before things start breaking, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Eventually, you're
