Hi, I'm Aaron Schweitzer, producer of the Bend Don't Break Podcast, and we have very exciting news about a new podcast that's going to be coming to the Bend Source platform. It is Bend Into Balance with Adriana Moreno. She is here with us now. Adriana, what do you have envisioned for what you're going to be talking to folks about?

I am very excited about this podcast because I see it a way as a way to kind of combine two of my biggest passions, which is talking to people and health and fitness and wellness. I was previously a documentary filmmaker for 15 years, primarily with National Geographic and Discovery. And I'm very passionate about just about hearing other people's stories. I'm a storyteller at heart, but recent years have led me into a path of health and wellness. I have a daughter with a rare syndrome. And so I have to consciously model like good nutrition and movement every day. And the combination of these passions has led me to want to develop this podcast. I think Bend is extremely unique in the resources and innovation and energy that is invested in this subject. I think it's probably because of the sheer natural beauty that surrounds the city that so many people have come to Bend to work, play, and like just live in this beautiful, as I call it, or we all call it many, outdoor playground. And with that, a lot of, you know, professionals, therapists have come to cater to this growing community. And I just want to highlight a lot of incredible individuals that are living and working this life in one way or another, and that hopefully will serve as inspiration, information as well to other citizens here on Band and who are yet to embody their best vision of health and wellness.

When we first talked about it, I couldn't think of a larger group of people that would be passionate for anything in Bend, Oregon, um, outside of what you're talking about. So I can imagine that there's going to be uh plenty of guests and plenty of great conversations on things that our people are really passionate about here.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I definitely hope so. Our first interviewee is a former NFL player, and he is now the owner of one of Ben's um prominent biggest gyms. And one of his driving motives and doing the work he does is really just to reach out to the youth and really just as he told me to be the connective tissue, as he said um here in Band, giving a safe space for the youth to come in and be active because he said he would never never have reached the NFL had it not been for the mentors that he had growing up. And so now he wants to give back to the community.

That's great. Well, you can find the podcast uh on our website at Bensource.com and certainly on Spotify and other streaming platforms. And uh we hope you'll tune in. Thank you. Thank you.
