#2 of 2 on the trip Ritchie and I took to North Carolina.
All right, everybody, and welcome to part two of the ACDC concert road trip. Uh yes, I just posted that uh a few minutes ago. I don't know how long it usually takes, but um I would assume today, this afternoon, we'll have both of these up and posted to all their respective uh websites. All right, so uh let me continue. So uh as I spoke about in the first uh podcast regarding this road trip, we went from Buffalo down to Charlotte. We were able to visit the Rock uh NASCAR Hall of Fame, the we had really good barbecue, and um we went to a comic book shop and a record store. So after the record store, we realized okay, we can now park at the lot. We had to buy, we bought a parking pass. We had a bomb, we had because I knew this firsthand. I've been places where you couldn't park unless you had a parking pass. So now I know when I go somewhere busy to get a parking pass when when when I can. And sure as shit, they were turning everybody away that didn't have a parking pass. So I was smart. Matt Stoltman, smart. Anyway, we um get it. We're already downtown basically. So we get there, uh, very easy to get into the lot. Uh I go to the security guard, I have uh the blue tag, you know, and I go, hey, can I park anywhere with this tag? She's like, all the handicapp spots are filled up, but if you continue down there a little bit, you'll be right on the bay on the on the bottom floor, and it'll be easy and easy out. I'm like, thank you so very much. Sure as shit. We had like a whole area to ourselves at the time, and that is when I decided to partake in some extracurricular activities. So prior to leaving Buffalo, I went to, and Richie will tell you the name of the place. I forgot. I I go where Richie goes. Usually I get my drugs for my son, but uh this time I bought them on my own. And or I get some from Mikey and Richie too. I have I have several drug dealers, if you know what I mean, close to me. But I went to this place and I said, I don't like the taste of the THC. I don't like whatever it is, I don't like the taste. I just don't like it. I don't like people eat that edible food. I nope, never mind. I like the feeling, I don't want to taste it. I don't want to smell it or nothing. Smelling, I mean, you can't get around that today's day and age. And I grew up with it with older older brothers of older brothers of friends nearby. So I mean I'm used to it, but I don't want it. I I don't want it. So they said these these pills right here, I think they were 10 milligrams. These pills right here, you put it in your drink, they'll dissolve, and then you just drink the drink. And I'm like, oh, so you don't taste it? He's like, no. He's like, put it in like with lemonade or anything, and it just tastes like lemonade. I'm like, oh, okay. So I get there, and I had some Mountain Dew from what I bought at Walmart the night before, and I I did want to make sure my sugar was a little high because I did not want to have an attack at the concert. I didn't want to have a can. I it wasn't about Richie, I didn't give a fuck about Richie. I didn't want to ruin the show for me. So I took three, but I didn't dissolve them in the drink. I swallowed them like like they're aspirins. So I did three, so I did 30 milligrams, which might not be a lot to most people, but I've had a bad, you know, obviously from WrestleMania and Arnia, I've had some bad experiences with not being able to contain myself or control myself. So I took three, did the Mountain Dew. My sugar was like at like 170, so I was like, okay, cool. It's 90-something degrees outside, so I knew my sugar would drop as the day went. But the the barbecue, probably the cornbread did it, but with the barbecue, and then the mountain dew was gonna keep me nice and high for the duration of the show. We walk out, we head towards the um the stadium just to check shit out, and they were selling like the line for the official official merchandise was like it was fucking like 200 feet long. I went, what the fuck? And I okay, granted, granted, I cannot fit into most t-shirts, alright? I'm definitely the three 3XL kind of guy. But but but I still wouldn't have waited in line for that. What I did want was something fun. So I wanted to get those little Angus Young devil ears, but all you saw wearing them at the time were girls, women. So I'm kind of hesitant about it, and and Richie's kind of like, don't you, don't you do it, man. You're gonna be a fucking like you're gonna be a fucking simp. You're gonna you're gonna be a fucking embarrassment again. And there was like some woman standing there. I go, I and I just I don't have a problem approaching people out of the blue. I just it does, it's not in my nature to feel embarrassed. And there are people that sometimes don't don't like answer back, and I that's their problem. I don't give a fuck. But but there are times where they don't answer back, but then there's times where I just um you know have a good conversation. I meet somebody new and cool. So there's this woman that's just like kind of like watching everything, and I'm like, so let me ask you a question. I go, if I buy these double ears, am I gonna look out a place? She's like, fuck no. She's like, enjoy yourself, have a good time. I'm like, I thought so. And then like her friend came over, she's like, fuck yeah, you better get those double ears. So I went and I bought for 20 bucks. I got a pair of double ears. And had a great I they they they were fine. I put them on my head. Richie's laughing his ass off. He thinks I'm a fucking asshole. But as I'm walking around, I see other dudes wearing them. So at least I know I'm not the only one. All right, and I don't really give a fuck what people think. But secondly, at least I know I'm not the only one. And so Richie wants to do a little walk around. And the way the the whole area downtown is set up is like the stadium was say on one block. Then there was like a hotel and the and the parking lot, and then on the other side of that was, I think, I don't know the name of the stadium, but it's where the Charlotte Knights, a triple A baseball team, play. So we're like, why don't we just take a little walk? Because it was like 5:30 and they weren't going on until like nine, right? We didn't want to get in there too early. They wouldn't even let people in yet. So we walked past where we parked the car, and then there was a hotel and they were selling beers, and I really don't drink a lot, but I was bored, so I got two beers, and then I realized that I had my cane in my hand, so I couldn't really hold two beers and the cane. So I chugged one beer real fast, and then I doubled up the cups, and then Richie was very he was disgusted with me because I chugged a beer real fast, like you have never chugged a beer in your life. So I put the other beer in that one, and then we continued walking, and I started feeling good. It wasn't the beer, it was probably the pills. And I'm still drinking more, I'm drinking more, I'm drinking more. And then I want to say I get maybe two more. I think I had a total of four or five beers before the show. And at one point we go down to look at like where this the baseball stadium is. And Richie wanted to like walk around the fucking stadium. I'm not walking around. It's 95 degrees out. I'm fucking high or getting high. I'm fucking getting buzzed, and I know you're sober and you just ran 30 miles. I don't want to walk around the fucking thing. Go ahead. I'm gonna go. There was a park across here. I go, I'll go walk in the park, I'll sit down and I'll sit in the shade, and I'll enjoy my beer and my process to getting to La La Land, and you can go do whatever the fuck you want. But Richie's like, no, I ain't leaving you. Whatever, dude. That's fine. Thank you for not leaving me. But you're looking at a triple A baseball stadium, and you're gonna look at nothing. You're just I already knew it. And I it there was nothing to look at. So he went up into the park, sat on a bench, and cops and people are walking, the families are walking around, which makes me uncomfortable when I'm getting high. I don't like I don't like being around kids too much. Um I don't like being around kids too much when I'm high. I feel that's where the paranoia comes in for me. But but there were other people there, and I'm like making fun of everybody, and I think I sp if I remember correctly, I think I spilled my beer on Richie, and Richie doesn't drink at all. So Richie was very upset at me for that. He said he wanted to punch me actually later in the day, but he didn't. So now I am getting full blown, I'm high as fuck, and I am probably buzzing on top of it. And so I go, why not start heading back? So we do, and we get there and everything's fine, but when I'm high, even when I'm really not high, but when I'm high or feeling good, I like to um start conversations with people, and it really annoys the fuck out of Richie. Really annoys him. So what I ended up doing is I we got to our seats. It took us a while to find the escalator, but we were like front row on the upper deck, right on the side of the like on the side. So they weren't bad seats. I mean, they weren't the best seats in the world, but I couldn't get I could I would have bought floors, but the floors were like the the tickets that we bought were like 160 bucks. If I would have went floors, it would have been like in a 400 range. And I I just I didn't want to spend that much money. And I guess you said, well, you won't you drove all the way down to Charlotte, why wouldn't you do that? But like I just didn't I didn't want to, and I I didn't want to. I just didn't want to. I didn't want to spend that. I didn't have that kind of money. It's too much money. So we we had I thought we were good seats, and there was a couple sitting next to me, and a couple sit next to Richie. And I go to the guy next to me and go, hi, my name is Matt. I'm from Buffalo, New York. How many times have you seen ACDC? I think that is what Richie said. I kept saying to everybody. And I kept saying it over and over. And then that guy, those guys left, and then another guy came and I said the same fucking thing to him. And then those people actually end up leaving. I don't know if it was because of me, but then those people end up leaving, and then there was another, another group of people. Like, people kept taking the same fucking seats, it was kind of weird. And then on the other side of Richie, there was this like person my age, okay, probably like in her early 50s, blonde, really into the concert. Like, she was like standing up, kind of giving it like a little head shake, a little little horns showing on her hand, that type of thing. Her husband was a fucking doldrum. He was like a fucking lumber sexual. He's like, he's got like the flannel shirt and the big fucking beard with the finely combed beard oils and and just like you know, a nice parted fucking hair, hair fucking that the guy fucking probably like drinks nothing but IPAs and fucking uh wears like just I fuck this fucking guy. I hated him already. I didn't even didn't say one word to him, and he was three people away from me. He was a fucking fucking goofball, but she was cool. Um thinking to myself, like, why the fuck are you with this guy? Anyway, so I go, hi, my name is Matt. I'm from Buffalo, New York. How many times have you seen ACDC? And Richie just almost lost it, I think. I think because now we're having this conversation, she and I are, but Richie's right in the middle. And I just keep going and going and going, and um, and I Richie, I think, left because they did, I think they did a song. I think ACDC did like one song from the newest album, and so Richie left to go pee, because again, remember he pee's like a bitch, everybody. He pees like a bitch. And then I was still high, and I'm like, fuck it, I'm gonna go take a walk. So I went and I walked around, and I it wasn't that I was hungry or anything like that, but like I think I was getting thirsty, but not thirsty for beer or anything like that. So I couldn't find anybody. I'm just on the who was I looking for, but I'm by myself, so I got they had like these drinks, it was like 12 bucks, but it was like a refillable pop. So mind you, I'm a Buffalo Bills season ticket holder. I love the Buffalo Bills, but this fucking ownership group are so fucking cheap, they're fucking a bunch of cocksuckers. They charge you $9 for like a bottle, a 20-ounce bottle of fucking Diet Coke or Pepsi or whatever they do now. And at this fucking place is like 11 bucks, but it's fountain drinks and it's fucking endless, bottomless. And Atlanta is another fucking place where you can buy like two dollar hot dogs and two dollar fucking pops, five dollar beers. But no, Buffalo, New York, because they we sell more beer than anywhere in the NFL. They gotta charge people 20 and 30. I don't buy beer at the game, but $20 and $30 for a can of fucking beer. Fuck I fucking hate the bagulas. I fucking can't stand them. Fucking don't give a shit if they save the bills. Fuck them. Can't stand them. And then fucking his wife, fuck her too. Anyway, so here's another example where other teams in NFL, how they take care of their fucking people. There you go. There's another prime example again. Uh uh New Orleans was the same way when I was a silver superdome, same way in New Orleans, was perfect. I went to the Raven Stadium, MT Bank, same way at Ravens, uh, Washington, FedEx, they made you buy more drinks, but FedEx or uh MT, and I don't remember Jacksonville. I've been to a Jacksonville game, I don't know what their pop situation was. And I refer to it as a pop situation because I can get by with just drinking diapsi. I don't need like the food and shit like that, but like the cost of everything in Buffalo is just so fucking stupid. Baltimore, uh Camden Yards is not the same, it's not the same ownership, and can't and Oriel Park is very expensive. But I'm not getting onto that right now. My point my point was is I bought a bottomless cup of of pop, of Diet Coke or Pepsi, whatever it was. And I find my way back to the seat, and Richie bought me a fucking drink. Same fucking thing I bought. I kind of felt bad. I mean, I didn't tell him I was gonna go get one, and he didn't tell me that he was gonna get me one. So and to to understand it better, neither of us knew that we were gonna do that. And I guess I should have got Richie one, but I didn't think of Richie. I was just like I said, I was high and drunk and feeling good. The fucking concert was amazing. Fucking concert was as the sun went down over the there's like a building that blocked the sun for us, then it just really got mellow. I think my high kind of like came down a little bit. Um but they they played uh whole lot of they played a lot of good songs. Um lot of good songs. Every fucking song was great, but but my again, my favorite song is Whole Lot of Rosie. And this one was a little different. They had like, I think she was like a neon on the screens, and she would do shit on the screens. Um, but again, redhead, big old fat lips, big old body, big old breasts, big old ass. About five foot tall, whatever, however tall she was, four foot tall. Um it was such a good night. So we get out. The concert's great. Concert was great. Another fucking home run by Richie and I going to shows. We've seen so many shows. We got two more concerts coming up again in August. We're going with Mike, and Mike was already on one of the one of the um one of the one of the shows that we had did earlier in the in the in the segment. Um, and he's gonna go see Black Label Society, Zack Sabbath, and I think there's another band with them at the at Buffalo Riverworks. I'm looking forward to that. That's gonna be good times. And then a couple days later, Richie and I are gonna go see Rob Zombie, who I love. I'm not a big fan of Marilyn Manson, fuck him, but he's gonna be there. Then there's like another band that Richie probably knows, but I don't. Then there's a band called Orgy that's gonna be opening opening. I'd love to go see Orgy, but I think I think we'll still be in the parking lot getting high and drunk. I will be. So I don't know, but but I I do like Orgy, but I can listen to him from the from the parking lot, that'll be fine. Because I I really I'll like when I when Malo Manson comes on is when I'll probably start walking in. Because I'm not gonna f I don't give a fuck. I hate that fucking guy. He's a fucking cocksucker. But we got good we got good seats for that show, so that should be fun. That should be fun. Um we we leave, get man talking about an easy access to get onto the throughway. Like, again, I'll talk about Buffalo. Um Bills, it takes you like two fucking hours to get out of the parking lot. Not only were we out of the parking lot, we were back in Statesville in under two hours, and we were like we were probably a 40-minute drive at least, like of regular driving, getting out of there, like distance-wise. So on the way back, we're getting hungry now, and I wanted to go to the Waffle House. Now, for those of you who don't know, the Waffle House is amazing food. I know it's shit food, but it's amazing food, but it's the experience, and not only were we gonna have what I thought was gonna be an amazing experience because we were gonna go at like one o'clock in the morning, and that is when you want to be at the Waffle House. That's when the fights happen, and all this other bullshit, and I fucking couldn't wait. I was as excited about Waffle House as I was about the ECDC show. And we get fucking there in Statesville, and sure as fuck, they only do takeout, and there's a cop with a fucking gun there, and they won't let anybody in there, and the fucking the fucking asshole fucking workers are already pissed off, and we couldn't experience it being in there because I would have loved to see these fucking workers throwing shit and f-bombing everybody and all that shit, and that could have been right there live. Oops. Could have been there right there fucking live, but no, they had to fucking close it out because heaven forbid we have a gunfight or a sta or a night fight at a fucking waffle house. So I didn't even want to I wasn't gonna what the fuck's going on here? My microphone keeps tipping. So I didn't want to deal with that shit at all. So we went to a Sheets, I believe, which is a gas station. I think it was Sheets. Richie can verify that. Because I was still fucking high. I was high as fuck. I drove all the way home high, and I had like a set-I don't know if you for people that do gummies or get does it ever have like a reverb? Because I had a reverb. I had like I was high, I felt good, like mellow, and then I got high again. So I was in the midst of that while we were driving. I didn't tell Richie at the time, so I was high driving right now, and then if we would have got pulled over, I would have been in deep shit. Richie could have drove home, but I would have been arrested. Anyway, uh we go to Sheets, and I got like I got like nothing. I got like chicken fries or something stupid. Because I think I lost my appetite. Richie got like the fucking store. He got like two chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, chicken this, chicken that, chicken this, fucking everywhere. Pop, this diet fucking Mountain Dew or diet Dr. Pepper's, his cheese balls. So we get back to the hotel, and this fucking guy is laying in a bed of food. He's got all the rappers. Now we had two queen beds, right? And I'm like, you're on your queen bed, I'm on my queen bed. Because you know, I knew he was gonna sneak over. He had fucking all his rappers wide open, he's laying in bed, he's fucking we're he's listening, he's watching TV, some cowboy show. I think it was gone smoke, and he's fucking eating, and he's like laying in his food, and I I had like I think I had chicken fries, and I am the messy guy, mind you. But in this instance, Richie was the embarrassment. And I think I was so high I want to go to bed, so I put my earphones on, I went to bed, and I woke up to go piss, and there's like fucking booby traps on the fucking rug. Richie just throws his duffel bags and his luggage, like literally in the middle of the walkway between the beds and the fucking bathroom. Like, what in the and the fucking room is so pitch dark, like the motherfucker can't have any light on. And it's like, you son of bitch, and I almost broke my fucking back trying to take a piss. Oh, wait, didn't I take a shit in the bathroom, Rich? Yeah, you can clarify that. I might have taken a shit, like a really bad shit. Oh yeah, I farted on the way to take a shit, and it made him so just he was so upset with me. He's like, that's it, I'm gonna fart the whole night. Which he did it. But I fucking like I sh I could have choked a donkey with the crap, so that was never coming out of me. And it's I was f I was afraid for a minute that it wasn't gonna flush. And I would have laughed, and I probably wouldn't have done anything. I probably would have went to bed. But I really made Richie sick to her stomach. And I had a really good night's sleep. As most people who are high when they go to sleep know it was very mellow. Had my music on my I my YouTube and that next morning we went to uh Where did we go to breakfast, Richie? Oh, Bojangles. And they didn't have fucking honey biscuits. So Bojangles, Greg and I are huge Bojangle fans. And they had, I know they did. They had honey biscuits at one point. And I asked this fucking lady, she looked like she was like three chromosomes short. And I'm like, Do you guys have honey biscuits? She's like, We never had honey biscuits. She's like 19. Like, how the fuck do you know you never had it? I've been eating Bojangles before you were a fucking you were an itch in your daddy's balls. Don't tell me what you never had. But I got a chicken sandwich, and Richie got whatever he got. It was good. It was fucking really delicious. Oh no, I didn't get a chicken sandwich. I got a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit, and that was really good. I did really good eating on that trip. I did pretty fucking good. Other than probably some marshmallows. Um, I did good. And then on the way home, I don't think we had anything. Oh, no, we had to have Burger King. Oh, Richie wanted Burger King. And then, oh, they put they put lettuce and mayonnaise on my chicken sandwich. Like, motherfucker, like you're going to Burger King. They don't make any money. That's why I'm saying you've got to pay these people what they're worth. Give them 50 bucks an hour, maybe they'll make your sandwich right. So what does he do? He throws the fucking sandwich at the fucking. This is this is Richard Noble now. He throws the fucking sandwich at the fucking Burger King door. Literally, it's just like hanging on the door, mayonnaise and lettuce, and she and the and the thing just dangling it's falling down, like just sliding down the glass. Bears designed. Can you get in the car? Because I want to go. I mean, it's my truck, they're gonna report to the fucking police. And uh we made it home. I don't think we had any problems. We didn't we had some rain and no traffic. So I think it was a really smooth drive home. And that was it. And if I missed some shit, I know this is gonna be this is a shorter vox because the other one was an hour long, and I didn't want to take it to an hour and a half. I thought that was too long. I thought an hour is too long, personally. But it was a great trip. And Jerry wanted us to get him some pepper spray, and I did not see it. I saw advertisements for an eerie. They were selling numchucks, pepper spray, and taser guns and fireworks. But we didn't stop. And then that was the only time I ever saw advertisements for that shit. And I was bummed because West Virginia didn't have like hillbilly, like I wanted to go to a hillbilly truck stop. I wanted to scare Richie, really. I would be have no problems going into that. But Route 19, from when I went on it back in the old in the early 90s, it was like it was still kind of like CD. It was kind of like deliverance, but now it was all corporate, it was all national chains and bullshit like that. So I was a little disappointed in West Virginia. They kind of dropped the ball. They dropped the ball for me on that one. But yeah, I mean it's 25 minutes, so finished up the trip. I am going to do one more Voxer or one more uh one more podcast today. Or should I just do it a part of this? You know, fuck it. I'll do it as part of this. I was gonna do a separate. I was gonna do a separate podcast, but I'm not. I'll do it to this one here. Let me see where I'm at here. So what I alright. I don't know. Alright, you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna pause it and I will do its own one. I I I'm at a loss. I don't think I should include the the the family rankings on this podcast. So I'm gonna end it now and then I'll I'll just do a new one. Alright, everybody, until uh the next podcast. You guys have a great one. Bye bye.
