You Got Tricked by 3 Inches and a Dream
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Somebody can sell you a whole dream with a picture, a story, and a little confidence, then you pull up and realize none of it matches real life. We start with the raw, hilarious idea of getting “tricked by three inches in a dream,” then break down what that really means: curated previews, misleading angles, and the uncomfortable moment when expectations crash into reality and you are quietly looking for the nearest exit.
We also share a personal story that flips from funny to honest fast: meeting up with a chaplain, stepping into the bathroom, spotting medication on the counter, Googling “lithium,” and instantly realizing the situation is deeper than a casual hang. That moment opens up a bigger conversation about dating red flags, transparency, and why you should not ignore information that changes what you are consenting to and what you are ready to carry.
From there, we get into the real grown-folk topic: why people stay when they already know it is not right. We talk about group chat excuses, tolerating chaos, and how toxic relationships drain your nerves, your money, and your peace. Our bottom line is simple: home should feel safe, calm, and supportive, not like a daily argument waiting to happen. If you are building a life, look for teamwork, respect, and someone who helps you breathe.
If you felt this one, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs boundaries, and leave a review with your biggest non-negotiable.
Cold Open And The Premise
SPEAKER_00I don't think y'all ready for this shit, yeah. Cause I mean shit, somebody asked me two seconds ago, Jack, how the fuck are you gonna talk about three inches in a dream? Did you ever get tricked with three inches in the game? You got man, I'm ready to fight your motherfucking ass. I'm close to Atlanta, but I ain't that goddamn close. Man, I hey, I understand Dorothy walked down that magical goddamn yellow brick road, but that was not me. You hear me? But hey, this is the only podcast where we goddamn, we talk about fun and shit. We talk about personal experiences. Because I see so many people talking about some girl, I got over there, and the motherfucker shit goddamn was like, hey man, let me tell you something. Some of y'all, some of y'all should walk around with signs and warning labels and them backpacks and display signs that say, hey, this is what I come with. We ain't talking about just size models. We talking about everything. Like, shit, like sometimes if you send me a picture, you send me a little, you know, snap snap. Shit, I want to goddamn be like, shit, mmm, shit. I'm trying to see some shit. You get what I'm saying? I'm not trying to, I was like, shit, this shit got bumps and blitzed. That shit got crushed on it. This shit got crushed on it like the side of your mouth early in the morning time. I'm trying to see every aspect of it. Because I mean, that's what a picture is for. But like we also say, shit, some things should go to Jock Cousteau. If y'all don't know who Jock Cousteau is, let me let me slow that dumb that shit down for you. That's like Jack Sparrow, that shit go should go down to the very Mariana trench, to where things should be told that everybody else's pictures shouldn't be spread. So I was sitting here laughing at a motherfucker because they said, girl, he ain't had what I expected to. How the hell did you get tricked over there in the first place? What he he learned how to chat GPT and shit? He learned how to enhance the size of it. Oh, he learned how to angle the light and and and and magnify and zoom in to make it look like whatever he had. Because let's go ahead and be honest. Once you get over there and everything is everything, do you still stay? Or do you try to look for the exit plan? Or do you try to text your group chat talking about some bitch? Somebody need to call me and tell me we got a we we got a uh man down, flag on the play, somebody in the hospital. My dog done died, my fish done died. Something I need, I need look, the the the the the wheel on my stroller done went out.
The Three-Inch Dream Explained
SPEAKER_00So with that being said, let's get back into this episode. The episode title is You Got Tricked by Three Inches in a Dream. Everybody gets old a dream, no matter if it's a man or woman, whatever, whatever, whatever. Because so let's be honest. I remember once upon a time, I'll tell you my own personal experience right quick. So, y'all, y'all, because I'm I'm a little bit I'm a little bit dirt dirt. You know what I'm saying? But we're gonna y'all gonna laugh at this shit though. So I'm a little bit biased. So I took a little risk. This was in my 20s, a long, long time ago. Y'all gonna tell me I was I'm going to hell. It is what it is. I understand it. I am the bus driver that's going down there with with the gasoline drawers on, with the backpack on, soaked in gasoline. I understand that. I have come to terms with that. But this is where we at. We I was conversating with this chaplain. Yes, a chaplain. And you know, one day she said, Hey, just come home over, hang out, da da da da. After you leave work. Cool, no problem. Shit, I ain't planning on doing nothing. It's five o'clock in the afternoon. I'm trying to go home. I've been working all day. Shit, I ain't trying to do that. I ain't trying to stay over. I ain't trying to do none of that shit. This is the first time ever we hung out. I say, hey, as soon as I got over there, I say, hey, you got a bathroom? Because let me tell you something. After like I drove over there, it was hot. I was like I said, I was in my 20s. So I've been drinking a lot of water all day. So boom, got over there. Let me go to the bathroom right quick. She had a little, you know, one bed, one bath. Cool. No judgment. Because that's all you need really need as an adult sometimes. You ain't got no kids, no responsibilities. Somebody got a little mud, dog, whatever, cat, fish, whatever. So I went in the bathroom. I see on the on the on the on the counter some medications. Now we all know, me personally, as an African-American male. If I see you got medication on there, bad habits, intrusive thoughts, I want to figure out what the fuck these medications are for. Because what you got? Like my other bad my like my other podcast before this one, you might have B V. You might have uh little bumps and blisters. Shit, I want to know what's going on. Like I said, intrusive thoughts, we all have them. So I got to Googling shit. What is lithium? If y'all don't know what lithium is, well, y'all might want to Google some shit because your homegirl or your homeboy probably owned it. So I I lithium. Let me look at the let me look at the diagnosis. I hurry up, zipped in my pants, wash my man. I even forgot to wash my goddamn hands. I'm gonna go ahead and be honest with you. I ain't drip dropped, man. I hey, I'm talking about straight out the bathroom. Hey man, my
The Lithium Bathroom Reality Check
SPEAKER_00mama just called. She's talking about uh shit. The doorknob fell off the hinge. So I gotta go. I ain't sticking around for no motherfucking lithium. I ain't signing up for this. We ain't this this this this this less than we have not established shit. I'm out because I ain't got time to be in no bathtub full of ice, my kidney or my luck, my stomach and shit cut out, or I'm up here goddamn looking like goddamn this. Yes, I know I'm sweating shit. I took a goddamn uh what is it, pre-workout? Shit, I'm just not getting up, just fresh out the shower. So I, you know, I had to get this shit in. But like I said, this is always raw, uncut and unedited. So how many more of y'all have been tricked like that? Because I know y'all make it to group chats, I know y'all make it to certain things. Shit, let's go ahead and be honest, be real. What the fuck makes y'all stay? Because in my mind, it's time to get the fuck on. Because there's no reason in fuck that you should be up there. Bitch. There's nothing, there's no reason that you, I just got, I just bumped clits with a man. Just saying. Because why are you bumping clits with a man? Because I mean you might end up in a whole lesbian relationship. Because let's be honest, that's what it's gonna feel like to you. Because you're talking about some girl, he couldn't even make it past butt cheeks. And so, because, but then how do you explain to your homegirls that you went back for a second round? You already knew the first time of what he had, what he had to offer, what he was presenting the fun times with, but you went back like if he watered it, it may grow. If he ate a certain type of vegetables, if he ate his peas and carrots, it would grow. You sound slow. Let's go ahead and be honest. Now, your homegirls laughing at you in the group chat talking about something, bitch, bitch. Why'd you put yourself in that conversation? Because hey, let's go ahead and be honest. Some of y'all men, y'all get set up for the okay dope shit, motherfucker. Come out looking like a whole transformer, motherfucker come out looking like, oh, she took off that little lace front, but y'all got the same haircut. I'm just trying to find out, hey, why her temp fade looking better than yours? I'm just saying, because I mean, there's no reason that we should put ourselves in these predicaments to where we have these things that happen. Hey, it's funny as fuck because hey, it didn't happen to your goddamn goofy ass. Because guess what? That's why we have fun, that's why we live life, that's what called life is, because everybody gets sold a dream, everybody, but it's in those 90 days where you start seeing little red flags and little goddamn cues of who this person really is, unless they're actually genuine. Hey, real players fuck up, B. Let's go and have Rihanna's. We fuck up sometimes. We like, she said she can't cook. She said she's gonna cook burgers on the grill, but the shit come out like meatloaf. I mean, I like like, hey bro, she said she gonna cook me a meal, but she can't boil water. Why? Hey, babe, is something burning? Oh, I put noodles in a microwave and forgot to put water in it. Sometimes we look past certain shit. Like, oh,
Why We Stay After Disappointment
SPEAKER_00I went over a house, her bathroom looks like hot ass. Or let's let's go ahead and be honest. Because everybody ain't got the best hygiene, everybody ain't got the best cleaning methods. But what are the things that we look past to be like, hey, I can see myself with this person, and it'll be okay. What's okay for you? Because what's okay for you is not okay for me. Because it, like I tell people, man, I cook, I clean, shh, I'm a single dad. Shit, my kid, hey, we got tears. I I hustle, I grind, I go to work, I shut the fuck up, I don't argue, I don't like that shit. Why would I be with a motherfucker that wants to do this all the time if I don't argue? Hey, because I because I've learned in life, sometimes you gotta say, hey, you got it. Everything's not worth our argument. We can have our disagreements all day and night. Because as a team, we're gonna go make it through this shit together. But why should I sit there and listen to constant nagging and bickering and bitching and this, that, and the third, if that's not what I want? Because like we can we can all go ahead and be honest. Hey, as a true human being, should I want peace? If you that toxic motherfucker, if you like that what is that called, secret ooze, that magical concoction that you think you you you you one of them power puff girls because you got the chemical X, you like that toxic shit? Take your goofy ass the fuck on back over there because I ain't got time to be fighting, I ain't got time to go to jail, I ain't got time for paying no bell money, I ain't got time for my car getting scratched up, I ain't got time to be at my job, I ain't got time to be at home getting a call for my job, talking about something. Hey, we got reports of this that you're smoking weed on off the clock. Bitch, what that's a lie. I I'll piss for you right now. Shit, who the fuck? Bitch, I know this goddamn goofy ho didn't goddamn call my motherfucking job, making up lies and shit, trying to get me to fuck up my money. I know this girl ain't following me home after I said I was at my cousin's house, and I I know that's where I was at. But next thing I know, she done popped up off a dark alley right behind my car, talking about something. Where you been? Why you drunk? I ain't got time for that goofy shit. Because hey, this is where we're at in reality. Once you reach a certain age, you understand what the fuck you will tolerate and won't tolerate. Because to me, that goofy toxic shit is for y'all little kids. I got too much other shit going on to be worried about how you feel, not how you feel, what what I'm going through. I ain't got time to deal with the bullshit. I I like my peace, I like my silence, I like to chill. I like shit like that. I don't want to be bickering and arguing, coming home after me working a whole 12 hours, 14 hours, 16 hours. Why done had to argue with folks at work, argue with folks in the street, argue folks at the gas station, argue goddamn Chick-fil-A because they done goddamn didn't say my pleasure? I ain't got time for that shit no more. So what's the purpose of peace if you ain't got peace? What's the what's the I'm sorry, I was waving to my kids that cause he he headed out the door. Sometimes you gotta tell your kids you love them.
Trading Toxic Drama For Peace
SPEAKER_00Shit. It is what it is. But what is it that you value? Because I value my peace, my solitude, the comfortability of just going home and relaxing, the comfortability of just being able to breathe, let my let my guard down while I don't feel like I'm fighting every day for my sanity. Or worrying about the next motherfucker telling on me at my job. Or nothing. I should be able to walk in my house and breathe and relax and be surrounded by those that I know got my best interests at heart. Not for the individuals that want to see me drown, see me suffer. None of that. Like if I get a flat tire, you bid you're com you're coming to my rescue. If I if I overslept and I need my clothes washed, you helping me out. Or you um like I I ain't got no like I've been busting my ass on overtime, so I ain't done laundry. Or like my clothes are hung up. Like, little shit like that will keep my solitude sane. So I mean, why should I argue with you if we're in this together? If I got your best best interest at heart, I want to see you become the best person that you want to become. Why should I sit here and argue with you if I know once I step out those doors the whole world is against me? But in my house, in my solitude, in my comfort zone, I have you here because I wanted to invite you into my life because um we in this together. Not just a goddamn hunch, not just to shrug shoulders, because we're in this together. To see us both become better, to see us both achieve our dreams, to see us both chase a bag, to see, hey, to hear, guess what? We both need a vacation, we've been busting our ass. Hey, you go half-zy. Well, I ain't got it. Well, let me got now and run this bag up so we can get a break. That's what life is about. Not that toxic shit that you see online or shit. Let's make each other jealous, boo. The fuck? You got me fucked up. Because guess what? Shit, you're gonna ask me some goofy ass shit like, hey man, babe, if a dude flew me out and I went, would you still be at home? Bitch, yeah, I'll be at home. But you'll be homeless. I'm just gonna be honest with you, shit. Cause them doors, them locks gonna be changed, the garage code gonna be changed. My cell phone number is gonna be changed, you're gonna be blocked on everything, even email. Because I know some of y'all motherfuckers will try to email a motherfucker. Hey, just to say I'm sorry. You might pop up beside my front door with a goddamn boom box on my son. And if I say we ain't got time for that shit no more. We grown. So, I mean, what is the point in just being so toxic to where you don't you you're you're you dread going home? Because, like they tell you, some folks will feed you a dream saying, babe, I want to see you, I want to see you thrive, I want to see you successful. I know I've been knowing you for you know three hours. Can I move in? Next thing you know, the motherfucking bum ass motherfucker moved in, and they don't want to work. They don't like to clean, they don't like to cook, nothing. Because I'm because let's go ahead and understand everything about a relationship, situationship, cut buddy, whatever the fuck you want to call it, is about compromise and making sure the other person here feels heard, met, and encouraged to become the best person that they ever could become with you. So why should I settle for less when I want more? I want more of your attention, I want more of your focus, I want more of everything that you have to offer. Not just some bullshit lies and fog and fatigue and whatever the fuck you want to sell me. No, I want to see you become the best aspect. Because the bet the better aspect that we can become, the easier our life gets. But some people think just because I make more, the more I gotta spend. Nah. That means the more I put back. Once I start making more, the more that makes that makes the the the fun. Not the fun, F-U-N, the fund. The old shit fund, the savings. When some shit pop off, hey babe, I need a tire. Shit, go get some out the goddamn, you know, wood woo-woo. Or damn, this one went out. Damn, I gotta get this fixed. Damn, I need snooze shoes for work, my feet hurt, da-da-da. Or damn, I gotta have a down payment for this. That's with that old shit fun. Because when you got that toxic shit, some people afraid don't even want to go home. I'd rather be at work busting my ass, dealing with them people, than coming home to you. And that's sad. Or be like, shh, boy, shit. I wonder what I can do to get this motherfucker out of my house. Or I wonder if I move, or if I get evicted, or I say I'm about to go move home with my mama in a one-bedroom with three kids, and this, that, and the third, she won't follow. You shouldn't have to go through the bullshit with a person that you've been invited into your space. Because, hey, let's go ahead and be honest. It ain't cool, it ain't cordial. Because the bullshit that we go through and the people that you we invite in our circles, that's why we said, that's why Rocco said perfectly. The great philosopher Rocco keep them squares out your circle. Because some of the people that surround you are really snakes. Or they just want to see you drown, they just want to see you fumble, they want to see you not succeed in life and all that other bullshit. So why keep entertaining them and dwelling off of that? I'm sorry, my dog was barking. Um, and dwelling on the things and the toxicity instead of looking for peace. At what age did you find that peace is better than anything else? Because let's that's why most of these females out here getting roses because they looking for peace. Not toxicity, not being cheated on, none of that shit. They looking for peace. Are you are you willing to give them that peace? Because like I was talking to a guy at work, and he was like, Jack, why you why are you so big on peace? Bro, once you get ex once you experience peace and you experience how shit is supposed to be, how it feels when somebody wants to see you do better, bro. You'll never want to let that shit go. And you'll always be able to search for it. Once you'll be able to like this and able to relax, you'll never want anything other than peace anymore. Because that toxic shit drains, tires you out, works on your nerves, and it's full of bullshit and problems. So why should I even entertain the smallest fragment of the bullshit just to make, just to have a piece of somebody, just to say, yeah, I got somebody, but when you think in your head, I don't like talking
Final Rules For Choosing Peace
SPEAKER_00to this motherfucker, I don't like texting, because everything seems to turn into an argument. Because let's let's be honest, once upon a time, shit, I was in that boat. Didn't want to go home. I'd rather work 16 hours. I'd rather be away from home for 18 hours than be at home and spend time with my family because of toxiness, bullshit, constant bickering, constant arguing. For what? Over the smallest, pettiest shit. Shit, I don't want to be around you. I don't want to be surrounded with you. Shit, when I get peace and I like being around you, shit, I crave that shit. Because guess what? We're gonna laugh, we're gonna cry, we're gonna talk, we gon' bullshit, shit. And that shit, that peace is more bliss than anything. Good times are more important than anything. So all I gotta tell you is don't get tricked by the three inches of dick in a dream. Trace what makes you happy. Trace those that want to see you do better and not want to see you in a toxic situation. That's all I gotta say is for four steppers, only we out. Peace.
