This week on The Petty Agenda, we're catching up after the Fourth of July weekend, talking beach days, hospital chaos, and why recovering from a few drinks in your late 20s suddenly feels like an Olympic sport. We also recap the latest episode of In the City.

Then we dive into our main topic: the alleged "gays to Republican pipeline." We unpack the bizarre stories surrounding George Santos, Madison Cawthorn, and Lindsey Graham while examining the disconnect between politicians who have faced years of speculation about their private lives and the anti-LGBTQ+ policies they've publicly supported.

Join us for another petty conversation.

Julia

Hello, hello. Welcome to the Petty Agenda. This weekend was July 4th. Screw Independence Day, but we we love people getting together and and drinking. What did you do, Sarah?

Sarah

I had a pretty good weekend. Friday we went to the beach. We did a lot of stuff. Saturday we did like a pool party day, but I got a lot of hours in the sun. So Sunday I just went to sleep. You look you look TAM. Yeah, I really need to like not get any more sun. Too old for that behavior. I needed a full day to recover just from like drinking a couple drinks and being in the sun. Yeah.

Julia

I I feel like the when you're out in the sun for so long, you need a good nap or like a one day of recovery. It really takes a lot of energy out of you.

Sarah

I know. It feels like you like exercise, but you didn't do anything. What'd you do? Did you just work basically the whole time?

Julia

I got back from DR and then I worked straight for three days. That week I was floated everywhere. I floated to like the ED at one point. There was a lot of walking and running around. And you need to have a lot of stamina for the ED. And I don't have that stamina. It's a lot.

Sarah

Yeah, that sounds tough.

Julia

How long did you do that? I did that for like a full 12-hour shift. So one shift I was in the ICU, which is like nice. And then the other 12 hours I was in the ED. And then the next day, I was in another ICU where I met the most unassuming white man. I told you about this guy.

Sarah

Yeah, share with the pod. I wouldn't even know how to describe him.

Julia

I I wouldn't even know how to describe this man either. He's so peculiar. He has like the most the most dry humor. Was talking about how he was supposed to marry this rich girl from China and like supposed to be part of like the Chinese parliament. And then has a secretary in Ghana. He doesn't pay any of his bills. Yes, that one secretary in Ghana face his bills. But not his mortgage, though.

Sarah

Just like some of his bills. It's just crazy. How is this man like working a hard job like this? And then living this wild life.

Julia

He's like, Yeah, I have like a little mansion in Ghana, you know. Here is my my butler. Here is my car.

Sarah

Wait, didn't you say something with Epstein also?

Julia

Yeah. Epstein, he had like another area, upstate New York, on this like lake house where like a bunch of people would hang out. This coworker said that it was like this lake house was in his family for generations. That's where his family lived. So he lived in this lake house all year round. And he was saying that that's how he got his money or like how he invested properly was he he would always talk to these hedge fund people. But he was just so interesting. I wanted him on our podcast because I'm like, what haven't you not done?

Sarah

He definitely knows some or has some crazy stories. Seems like yeah, he does. But yeah, that was my like fourth of July, just working. Have you been watching any of the World Cup games for fun? No, but everyone's very into it. It is like really fun to watch, even if you don't watch soccer for some reason. Really? I need to get into it. You see, everyone in these other countries are like so passionate about it. I feel like in the US we're not.

Julia

We're not passionate about that.

Sarah

I know. But it's sad because it's a very like globally diverse sport and people are very emotional. There's this random country. No one has even heard of this country. Yeah, yeah. And then like everyone was rooting for them. See, it's fun. And we went and there's this place, Wilmington, that has like a large outdoor screen, and you can sit and like watch on a huge screen. So we did that, which was nice. But I think they're playing right now. I did want to make fun of male soccer athletes because do you ever see the like the videos of them like trying to draw a foul and where they're like so dramatic? No, I haven't. But how how dramatic is it? They're barely getting touched and they're like flying into the air and like trying to get a red card and shit. They are like amazing athletes, but why are they being so so dramatic?

Julia

Yeah. So maybe I should watch it just to see. Just to see if I get into it.

Sarah

Yeah, it's gonna be entertaining. Speaking of entertaining, I really need a show recommendation, Julia, because I'm out of shows. I've been watching some really fringe shows lately out of desperation, like Million Dollar Nannies, which turned out to be kind of hilarious. I need to start watching it. They kind of give me like more men wives vibes first season because they're just being unhinged. Is then it's the nannies that are unhinged. The nannies are unhinged, but so are the rich people. But like the concept of the show is just too crazy. What's the con why so the like travel nannies that like if rich people go to this island or it's like a resort, maybe, I don't know. Then they stay there and they're like an agency. And so the people are like working together, but they're all really catty. And their clients are like really rich people, like really like insanely rich people. Obscenely rich people that we don't really see. Yeah. Like this one lady should be like, okay, we're going on a jet, my two kids to like Fashion Week. But yeah, the girls are unhinged, so it's it's so bad that it's good. So I'm really desperate. Like, I need a good, feel-good show to watch.

Julia

Um, okay, well, there's that episode L Woods, you know, like the L L Woods series. I don't know if it's good, but I, you know, it's something cute to watch, and it's it's nice because you know, that was an iconic movie. Yeah. But other than that, I really have no show recommendations. I did watch the last episode of The City. Oh, what'd you think? Okay, so I feel like that one guy, Gavin, is the OG instigator, and he just starts all the problems.

Sarah

He's mad annoying, but you kind of you kind of have to just let that person go because you know that on these shows you need a little shit stir, you know? You do, yeah.

Julia

So let's preface this as in that episode, that one girl gets court married. I don't know her name. What's her name again? Well, like Ivana, right? Yvonne. No, yeah, Yvonne, Yvonne. She finally gets court married because she only got married in Mexico and like never made it official in the US. And she sets up this elaborate like dinner for everyone. And there's a lot of like issues along the way, right?

Sarah

Yeah, it went south really quickly. Okay, what do you think about Ian, which is Danielle's husband? He's like the Irish guy. Just for me, first impressions, I get sketchy vibes from him. Why? I just feel like he something he's not being completely honest about with his divorce. Yeah. Because you know, men always be lying about something.

Julia

Yeah, I do think it's weird that he got a divorce and so quickly went after someone else. An old friend, yeah. Yeah. It's just all in all, it's not a good look on both of them. And is it our business? No. No, she's like, Well, it's not your business, and like, yes, she's right. Normally it's like no one's business, but you're on a TV show where like now it's everyone's business.

Sarah

Exactly. That was she needed to like break the fourth wall and say that because that's the entire point. Like, you're on a TV show. And then didn't Lindsay, I don't know if it was this episode or one before when she was like, Why are you on this show? And then Danielle was like, And that's what it is. That's what the real truth is. And she's like, All along, Lindsay, this is what you're mad about. I don't know if you saw that. And Lindsay's like, no.

Julia

Yeah, Lindsay's like, no. It's too much. It's too much. I did feel bad for her friend Yvonne, because like she did plan this dinner, and then like no one get gave everyone was like ignoring her and her dinner. And it was just all about Amanda and Kyle, and Lindsay just got up and was like, You guys are like ruining it for all of us, and all this and all that, and like Gavin just kept interrupting, asking random questions. I felt bad. I I felt bad for you guys.

Sarah

So many times to butt in. She'd be like, guys, you're like literally ruining my day, and I spent a lot of money on this. Can we all just shut up for one second? And they're like, nope. No, no, it was funny.

Julia

It was a funny episode. And at the end of the day, they were like, I think we should all go on a trip together.

Sarah

Yeah, that made no sense. I still feel like the show is finding its footing for trying to seem organic. Cause I don't know. I don't know if this show will do well long term. So I feel like a lot of shows people need to start off actually organically knowing each other. And you can tell that this is very casted artificially.

Julia

It's very scripted, it's very casted, like artificially.

Sarah

I don't know what they need to do to switch it up. Maybe it's just too many like straight couples just miserable in their marriages. Like, we have a lot of that. Yeah. We need different storylines.

Julia

You're right. I think it is a lot of like straight couples. I think it's also like people who have like nothing else. Like, there's no good salacious drama. Like, we all know Kyle and Amanda hate each other. So they like keep reverting back to like Kyle and Amanda and we don't care. So I I think that's what it is. Um, but I think maybe Kenny might be like a topic of where they're moving towards, like Kenny and the relationship with this influencer girlfriend who is too good for him, by the way. And I do see Kenny and Lindsay. I feel like they would make a really good couple.

Sarah

I don't know if I wrote that down. I wrote that down too. I said, yeah, I I feel like they have this chemistry, but they're both like toxic people, so it wouldn't be a good relationship, but like they weirdly have chemistry.

Julia

Right? Didn't you? I feel like there was some type of like flirting going on there.

Sarah

I could see it, I could see it for sure.

Julia

Who knows?

Sarah

Who knows? They're really throwing us through a loop with Kenny because you know, first they were like, Oh, he's the villain. And then they're like, wait, actually, you should find him endearing because of his story with his dad, which was like a really cute story and made you kind of forgive him. But then now it's like, I don't know, I don't know.

Julia

I don't know how to feel about Kenny. Like, I'm always on the fence with him. They give villain story arcs to like whoever they want to give.

Sarah

Yeah, but usually it's like the whole season, you know. Was Lindsay ever considered a villain in like Summerhouse ever? Oh yeah. For most of it, for most of it, it took me a while to come around to Lindsay. Cause she is like, she's done some crazy shit on Summerhouse where it's like hard to defend her. But Lindsay is like authentically herself. She means well. Like she's usually right. It's just like she's really harsh, you know? So, like, you kind of realize, like, wait, Lindsay's actually the best. But there are some seasons where she was tough.

Julia

I do remember Paige saying when Lindsay would say things, like she would just say it as like truth, and that's it, and that's that's all it would be. And no one would question her. But then Paige was like, I would get so annoyed because I know she was lying. And Paige was like, you know, now that I got older, I started coming around to that idea.

Sarah

And yeah, yeah, something like that. That's kind of how I felt too. Some of her shit is crazy, but as you get older, you learn to love her more. Yeah. Yeah, because she's authentic. Yeah, she's a very good reality TV star, and yeah, she's very authentic for sure. But but yeah, that's in the city. I could use some more show recommendations. Julia, introduce our topic for this week. It's a very salacious one.

Julia

Yes, we have a really cool topic. It's actually really funny. We're calling it the Gaze to Republican Pipeline, and it's allegedly. Everything here is alleged. Okay. So don't come for us. So we're gonna keep saying allegedly after everything.

Sarah

Yeah, we're just shooting the shit. Well, this is just a gossip sesh, but yes, you know, we're just reading things that have floated on the internet, and it's just for fun.

Julia

We're going in a deep dive on all the alleged gays to Republican pipeline. We have three people that we're going to talk about, which is George Santos, Madison Cawthorn, and old man Lindsay Graham from South Carolina. Okay, well, I feel like George Santos is iconic and crazy and just he's evil.

Sarah

He's he's evil. He's evil, but he's really funny. But so funny. I wish that he wasn't evil because he would be he would be a great drag queen and he would be great just like in media. Yeah. His interview with Z Way, like, I was like, oh my god, he's so funny, but he's so he's a bad person.

Julia

He reminds me of someone that we went to high school with who just keeps lying all the time. And what's crazy is also about George Santos that I I can't stop looking at him because he has he definitely has like a Botox lip flip. Like he definitely did something with his upper lip. And I'm like, I know you did something. Okay. So George Santos, this man, he gets elected into Congress in 2022. So he obviously said a bunch of lies. Like he said he went to Baruch, he said he got like a finance degree, he was working in a BC at some finance firm. He just kept lying on his resume, and I guess people believed him, and no one did a proper back check on him. So he ended up getting elected. Where was he elected?

Sarah

I forget.

Julia

Long Island in New York. Long Island, Long Island, sorry, it was Long Island, but it's kind of interesting. It was like Long Island bordering Queens. So how he pulled it off, the district, parts of Long Island and Queens got more favorable to Republicans after redistricting. And in 2022, it was a generally strong year for New York Republicans amid dissatisfaction with crime and state's democratic leadership. So he ran on a fabricated resume claiming he had a Wall Street pedigree at Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, a college degree he never earned at supposedly Baruch. He was a part of a non-existent charity. This is crazy, a part of Jewish heritage. So he would like light the menorah with people who parents have passed away in the Holocaust. And when later they found out that he wasn't Jewish, reportedly claim he said, I'm Jewish-ish. Jew-ish. Which can't be honestly a really funny line. But like that's what I'm saying. So insane. Like so bad. Just so bad. Just so, just so bad. And he stole money from so this poor veteran that's disabled. His dog was sick or had a massive tumor and needed a tumor resection. So he got in contact with Santos, and Santos set up this like go fund me for him, raise like 3,000, almost around 3,000 allegedly dollars. That man never saw the money. George Santos said he wasn't a part of it. It was like just one of his charity groups. That poor veteran who had already suffered from PTSD saw his dog die right in front of him. And George Santos was responsible. He's evil, so evil.

Sarah

He's a Corella de Ville. I know. He has to be good to get elected in a Republican seat. He has to know how to, you know, manipulate and lie to people.

Julia

Yeah. So on May 2023, he got indicted, 13 federal crowns for wire fraud, money laundering, the whole seven horse meal.

Sarah

So how long was he in office? Like one year, two years? I don't even know. Two years?

Julia

I think like less than that. I think he was under office for So not a full term. No, not a full term. He did less time than it takes to finish a real housewife season.

Sarah

Oh my gosh.

Julia

Um yeah, and he pleads guilty. He was sentenced to 87 months, and then October 25 came along, and obviously Trump helps him with the sentence and makes it less for him. And that's when he got goes on his personal tour with interviews, where he interviewed with Zwa.

Sarah

That makes sense now with the the timeline.

Julia

Yes. So the timeline is he was in Congress, indicted. Then Trump commutes his sentence. And he serves under four months. And then now he's under DOJ investigation for insider trading because he betted against his own attendance at the State of the Union.

Sarah

Did he say he was gonna go or not go?

Julia

He was saying he wasn't gonna go.

Sarah

It's so stupid. So he just basically said, I'm not gonna go, and then he didn't go. It seems like that would be pretty simple to set these apps up to like prevent that from happening, but no.

Julia

But no. So he betted against himself, which was kind of iconic. It was through like that that app called Khalichi.

Sarah

I've never heard of this. This sounds like a really stupid, dumb boy thing. It is. It's like a prediction market app. I think I think this stupid, this stupid betting is what's gonna bring the men down. Like I really think this is what's gonna do it. It wasn't war, it was the betting. It was it was betting on something random. No, I'm telling you, they're like getting down. Some of these people are really like bad with sports betting and they just keep coming up with different ways to bet.

Julia

I know, but the fact that he bet on himself is hilarious or against himself. I don't know. I have to figure this out. But by the way, he knew. He knew, he knew, he he knew and he knew he was gonna get money off of it, and he got in trouble again. So, yeah, this app is like legalized on betting real-world events instead of like sporting or casinos. So people put money on whether something will happen, an election outcome, and who wins an award show, whether a celebrity will show up somewhere. I just, why did he not think he would get caught? Like, yeah, so it's crazy. And then NPR confirms Santos is under a federal investigation for insider trading. When he's being asked, he says, real quote, I'm not saying yes and I'm not saying no. And he calls a co-founder of Khalici, a fellow Brazilian, who he knows personally, and says he'll call her and sort it out.

Sarah

I wish I could have his level of confidence and delusion. And it just seems like he's never afraid of anything.

Julia

He just does what he wants. He does exactly what he wants. And I think when someone was just randomly asking him, Do you perform drag? And did you perform drag in Brazil? And he was like, I get to do whatever I want in my personal time. And he was like, I have a life outside of this.

Sarah

It was pretty wild for him for those photos to come out of him as a drag queen. I feel like when they first came out, I thought they were like fake.

Julia

And then he was like, No, it actually was him. I like drag George Santos. Drag George George Santos can stay. Regular George Santos can go. And I don't know what it's gonna look like for him in the future. I'm pretty sure he's probably gonna go back to jail. But yeah, that's our man, George Santos, just a menace to society.

Sarah

Menace to society, proudly out and gay and drag queen, but we don't we don't claim him. We don't want him unless he's unless he starts using his powers for good.

Julia

And then next we have Madison Cawthorn. You know Madison Cawthorn, haven't you? You live in North Carolina, you've heard about him.

Sarah

Yeah. I feel like other people, you know, this is one that maybe other people might not have heard of. It was kind of a niche story, but he was a very young blonde guy in a wheelchair. He was a North Carolina representative, but not for my area, for like the mountains.

Julia

Looking at him at first glance, you're like, oh, this poor kid. Like he looks so young, so cute. All American. All American. You're like, okay, he's a Republican, but he's kind of good looking. And then you dig a little deeper and you realize he says the most vile things you could ever realize. Very homophobic, vile. His timeline is also insane. So he got elected into Congress at 25. He was the youngest member since 1964. He's never been confirmed to be gay. Okay, there were some videos about him. There's a lot of like sus things that he said when he was in college. They called his college crew back in the day the douche crew in 2021. Not surprised. He had a lot of like sexual assaults claims against him in school in like college. Yeah. There was like one girl who claimed that she got sexually assaulted by him or like felt very uncomfortable.

Sarah

Wait, okay, did he graduate? I don't even know. When was he in the wheelchair in college? I don't understand this man.

Julia

This this car accident happened in 2014. He was 18, coming back from a spring break trip near Daytona Beach. He was a passenger and his friend was driving and fell asleep at the wheel. We obviously don't know the full story, but that's what they're, you know, we don't know why, right? Obviously, maybe he's asleep. I don't know. And the car hits a concrete barrier. His feet were on the dashboard when they hit, which is why he's like partially paralyzed from a wheelchair. But I do remember like me assuming the reason he was paralyzed or like partially paralyzed was because I thought he went into war.

Sarah

I thought the same thing. He must have alluded to that in something in his campaign. But yeah, didn't he not actually ever join the military? No.

Julia

So he was supposed to go to like Navy school, and he said like that was one of the reasons why they never accepted him into like going into Navy school. Because he was partially paralyzed. So that was also a lie. They ended up finding out that he already got rejected before that, and he just never got in because he wasn't a good candidate. There was a lot of things about that car accident that he was alleging. He was saying during his campaign, like the person that was driving like left him to die and he had to suffer and like get out, which wasn't true. The friend like tried to get him out, which is a horrible thing to say. He wants like to tell this really crazy sob story. So he gets elected. Because of the sob story, he gets elected at 25. And then I think he does get engaged like right after, very briefly, in like 2021, 2022, but then they get divorced. It was so weird. He has a cousin named Stephen Smith, who is his assistant, who came with him on his honeymoon, his assistant. Then there's like videos of him leaked where like he's touching his crotch, or like Smith, like his cousin is so-called cousin is touching his crotch. And then he quotes says, Cawthorn says, A naked body beneath my hands. Like he wants to see like Steven's naked body beneath his hands.

Sarah

Okay, that's pretty strong evidence. Yeah. Some incest going on.

Julia

I know. I know. And I remember that clip did come up on my TikTok feed at the time. Do you not remember that? I never saw it. And it looked it looked raunchy. And I didn't realize that that was his like second cousin or something like that.

Sarah

Oh my god, I know. It makes it so much worse. So did that happen while he was in Congress? Yeah.

Julia

That got said when he was in Congress. Clearly, he never got re-elected again. He just lost a Republican primary. So he didn't run again. Can't have that. Incestuous. In very incestuous. So, like they said the reason why he was vulnerable was because the crotch grab video with his sec second cousin. I think that's what did it. They're like, you can do anything, but not with your cousin. That's that's a different level of Z. Um and then also he did say the cocaine comment before his re-election. What was that? He claimed to have witnessed colleagues doing cocaine and having sex parties in DC, which he had a lot of enemies after that. I mean, I kind of bel I believe him when he said Oh, 100%. I believe that.

Sarah

But he's kind of stupid for that.

Julia

If he wants to become re-elected.

Sarah

True. Like he should have had some evidence. He should have like went to TMZ or something. Like he should have made a killing.

Julia

I know. Do you know how if he had like a tell all book and had like pictures, or not pictures, because pictures are maybe a little graphic, but like at these things and was like, this is what actually happens. I would have actually believed him a little bit more, but like now no one believes him because he's just kind of cry cry. He did get pullover driving a revoked license, and then he was caught bringing a loaded gun through TSA airport twice. Real smart guy. Just such a smart man. So he didn't get kicked out, but his own parties didn't vote for him afterwards.

Sarah

Right.

Julia

And then on October 225, he announces his comeback bid, but in Florida, because North Carolina said we're good.

Sarah

Interesting. I didn't know you could just switch. I thought you had to like live somewhere.

Julia

I know. If someone knows politics that well, please explain to us.

Sarah

We clearly don't.

Julia

We don't know. They're both the George, George and my my boy Cawthorn, not my boy, Cawthorn. He'll never be my boy. But George and Cawthorn are both just I just can't even put into words. Like I wonder what people were thinking when voting for George Santos. Oh, did I tell you the craziest thing that George Santos lied about again? He left what he lied about his mom being in like 9-11 and surviving the 9-11 and died from a related illness. But actually, she wasn't even in the country that day. And she's I think she's alive.

Sarah

Oh my no. And she's alive?

Julia

Yeah.

Sarah

This man is just pulling shit straight out of his ass. He's like, like he just made up that whole entire story.

Julia

Yeah, he did. I don't know who's worse. Cawthorn or George? Who would you fuck Mary Kill? We have to do a commercial actually.

Sarah

With Lindsey Graham? Oh my god.

Julia

Fuck Mary Kill. Lindsey Graham, Mark Hawthorne or Santos.

Sarah

I think I gotta kill Lindsey Graham. He's just been older and around longer and done more damage. Okay, so then we got Hawthorne and Santos.

Julia

I I don't think I would fuck Hawthorne. I think I would fuck Lindsey Graham.

Sarah

Are you serious? I just think I would okay. I think I would marry Santos. I would marry Santos. A nice lavender marriage. I can't let him touch my money. Like, we gotta have separate bank accounts.

Julia

But it would be a fun time. He would. You just couldn't believe anything he was saying.

Sarah

Yeah.

Julia

But I I don't think I could ever fuck Hawthorne just because he's like, But Lindsay Graham seems like too aggressive. Lindsey Graham. This is my thing with like hooking up with Lindsey Graham. He's too old to want to do anything crazy. And me as a brown woman, I don't think he would ever want to touch me.

Sarah

Oh my god. Well, let's transition into Lindsey Graham segment because I don't think he would want to touch me either. That's what we're lunching here. Um, so for years, people have, you know, wondered if he's gay. He's 70 years old now. You know, he's never been married or publicly seen with anyone. He's just had a lot of gay rumors. I mean, you just you just gotta see how he acts and you would understand why. Um, but yeah, there's been rumors against him all throughout his political career. He openly denies them as early as back as 2010 at a rally. He was accused of being gay. I thought this was a funny quote that he said. Just he said, like, maybe I can't do his voice. I really wish I could. It would add to it. He said, like, maybe I'm having a clandestine affair with Ricky Martin. I know it's really gonna upset a lot of gay men. I'm sure hundreds of them are gonna be jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge, but I ain't available. I ain't gay. Sorry. Bro, if you were gay, like I don't think a lot of guys would go for you. No, sorry, Lindsay Graham.

Julia

Ricky Martin probably saw that quote and was like, let me kill myself before I know calling Lindsay Graham.

Sarah

He's delusional, yeah. So I just thought that was funny. Um, and then more recently in 2020, a gay adult video performer, and remember, this is all alleged. None of this is factual. This is all for fun. He wrote on Twitter, alleged, there's a homophobic Republican senator who is no better than Trump who keeps passing legislation that is damaging to the LGBT and minority communities. Every sex worker I know has been hired by this man, wondering if enough of us spoke out if I could get him out of office. So he tried to like blow up his spot, but then and he was trying to call on other sex workers to speak out about him, about Lindsey Graham and about being hired like to do stuff for him. He he called him hashtag Lady Lady G, Lady Graham on the tweet. Come on. Yeah, didn't try very hard on that one. Um, but basically, he denied this. A lot of people didn't end up following up with it because I think they were just worried about like outing sex workers and just you know what would happen because of it. But he's had he's had a lot of allegations over the years, and there's been some fucked up things too, obviously, like people then, you know, being homophobic against him on both sides. But as of the most recent thing that's happened, which was last August, one of the president's closest allies in um right-wing social media, her name is Laura Loomer. Um, so she testified in a legal deposition that Graham is gay, and it's well known amongst the president's staff. The deposing lawyer mentioned that Loomer wrote on X in 2024: When is Lindsay coming out of the closet? We all know you're gay, Lindsay. She was responding to how Graham had called her toxic. Yeah, I called him gay, Loomer told the lawyer, adding, It's well known. Several of Presidents Trump's staff have told me in confidence that Lindsay is gay. The lawyer interrupted her to explain he hadn't actually asked if Graham was gay.

Julia

So she was like, Yes, outed him.

Sarah

She outed him in a legal document. So that's pretty strong evidence. But, you know, no matter how many of his former former lovers come out or people who, you know, come out against him, well, we may never know if he's actually gay, but what really matters is that he's a terrible person. He supports a lot of anti-LGBTQ plus policies. For example, he vowed to talk until he fell over to prevent the passage of the Equality Act, which just enshrines LGBTQ plus anti-discrimination measure measures, anti-discrimination measures into federal law, um, saying that that law would destroy the difference between men and women. No, literally makes no sense. He supported a federal constitution amendment to ban marriage equality. He opposed the res opposed the Respect for Marriage Act, same-sex couples' rights to adopt, trans participation in school sports, voted against a bill to allow same-sex couples in DC to adopt, compared marriage equality to polygamy, and has repeatedly voted in support of anti-LGBTQ plus Republican presidential appointees. He earned a zero on the human rights campaign latest congressional scorecard because of his staunch opposition to LGBTQ plus equality and has consistently earned low scores from such organizations. So, you know, we're having so much fun with this, just you know, making fun of these people. But just remember, like, we are examining this gap that exists between, you know, how these people act in their secret life versus the policies that they're supporting.

Julia

Yeah, that's true. It's 2026, Lindsay Graham. Just come out. Just come out for that.

Sarah

And stop being a terrible person. I don't know if he's up for re-election. Let me see. He's up for re-election in 2026. Oh my god, his face. Um he's 70 years old. I think he's been in office for a long time. Like he's done a lot of damage.

Julia

He's such a little like just looking at his face. He's such a little fucker, but I looked him up and it says Chelsea Handler accuses Lindsay Graham of being gay.

Sarah

Yeah, she did too. A lot of celebrities have. I mean, some of this uh just accusing him is like I didn't include because it's just like people being like, you're gay, you know. Like I wanted some evidence of people who had actual knowledge of him, but I'm sure it's just an open secret. But yeah. He's a horrible person. So vote vote him out if you live in South Carolina. Lastly, I wanted to talk about this phenomenon that has been reported, which is when when during during Republican National Convention meetings, that there's a huge increase in grinder activity to the point where it gets like overloaded in the system and shuts down. So there's a couple, yeah, there's a couple examples of evidence of this. Um, the employees went on the record to say that there was a surge in users triggered by the RNC. And Vice also reported a hundred and twenty percent increase in traffic before the first the first night of that year's RNC. And then more recently, 2024, the RNC in Milwaukee was coined by none other than George Santos, the Grinder Super Bowl. And he said, let me pull up his quote because it was funny. He said, just come out of the closet, boys. Come on, it's fun. You can be gay and conservative, but look, Grinder is already outing you anyway, based on the hits. Guess who in who is in town? It's all you conservatives. Debated if you know this is really true, but I just thought it was funny. Um, that it's purported to have crashed multiple times. You know, there is some evidence that the CEO has come out and said there's been increase during these events. Um, but maybe a funny coincidence, maybe true. Um, obviously, they I also was looking up if this was true for Democratic National Conventions, and it is, and there's even more of an increase, which makes sense. But someone said, but there's more real profiles with pictures.

Julia

Yeah, yeah. Like no one's hiding.

Sarah

Yeah, so just just a funny thing. And then, yeah, just to point out that, you know, LGBTQ exists across the political spectrum. We are aiming our criticism at Republican politicians because they publicly support policies that harm LGBTQ plus rights and privately are engaging in these, you know, relationships. So we're not shaming people for being gay. We're just showing the gap between public messaging and private actions. Yeah, and that they're they're hypocrites. Yep. Big hypocrites, big hypocrites. Yeah, out of these three, I gotta say Santos is my favorite. Cawthorn creeps me out, Lindsay Graham creeps me out. Santos is someone that I would actually hang out with for like drinks.

Julia

Even though he's a horrible person, I would still like get a drink with him. I could like stomach getting a drink with him. Cawthorn, I c I can't.

Sarah

I know. Santos kind of reminds me of um Annie Anna Delve. Yeah, just like a good scammer wants to be rich and famous and is willing to lie. But he's just like a drama queen, you know? He just needs like attention. He does. He's funny, he definitely needs a lot more attention that we're giving him. That's what happened to Trump too. Like, if Trump had just gotten more attention, like maybe in Hollywood, he always wanted to be accepted by Hollywood, but you know, people didn't like him. We wouldn't be in this fucking mess.

Julia

He's evil. People just love power. Like, I think at the end of the day, when you're in politics, you people just love power and they see where they can get in, like a little slice of power, and they get so greedy and you can't help it. I can't really. I can't relate either. I don't want power. I don't have a desire to be in power because when you see what they go through, I'm like, oh I don't care for that.

Sarah

I don't want that. But you're gonna run for mayor one day, right? Isn't that what you said a couple episodes ago? Mom Donnie was uh motivating you to run for mayor.

Julia

In Dobbs Ferry, it's very low stakes. There's really nothing going on here.

Sarah

Yeah, you could, you could. I would rather talk shit about them on our podcast. Same. That was fun chatting with you guys. Next week we'll be back. We're gonna try to keep with our once-a-week schedule. But yeah, looking forward to that.

Julia

Yeah, we're very excited. Hopefully, we're not gonna be as tired. But we both had it was like the 4th of July, it's summer. We're just we got a lot going on right now. How are your meds going? Helping? Not helping? Not helping. Not helping. There's like waves where it works and there's waves where it doesn't, but it's such a low dose that when it does, its peak time is like very different. So sometimes it's helpful, sometimes it's not.

Sarah

I wonder if that means you need to up. Definitely tell me. Maybe who knows? How about you? How are your meds going? Going good, but yeah, I could use some sleep. We hope all of you guys can get some sleep after this holiday weekend. And we'll be back in a week. Thanks for listening. Love you guys.

Julia

Peace. Love you. Bye. Remember to be petty.
